Dr Shane is joined by Dr Linden and Dr Laura in the studio to discuss a genetic study looking at adaptations to cold weather and relationship of these genetic changes to modern diseases. Invited guest Christine Leonard, a PhD student from the Department of Psychiatry at University of Melbourne, discusses her research into default networks in the brain responsible for self-reflection when there is nothing else demanding attention. Invited guest Dr Dee Ninis, an earthquake scientist from the Seismology Research Centre, discusses the recent earthquakes that have happened in Australia.
