Dr Shane presents three guests. First up, Dr Suzie Sheehy who is researching accelerator physics, talks about her work with the particle accelerators, her move to the UK to live in COVID normal conditions and her soon to be released book called 12 experiments that changed our World. Then, Dr Stefen Verwoert, from the Walter Eliza Hall Institute and Peter Mac, discusses research on transcription, which is the cell’s ability to pass on their encoded DNA to other cells to maintain their cellular function. The third guest is Dr Janine Krippner, a Volcanologist from the Smithsonian Global Volcanism Program from Washington DC – working remotely in New Zealand. She discusses her love of volcanoes and lava.
