Episode 07 - Johannes Nakajima 🇮🇹

Johannes was born and lives in Germany, but he studied film in Italy and took his first steps as an editor there. He was the assembling editor for Gianfranco Rosi on “Below Sea Level,” edited documentaries for Arte (“Das Wikipedia Versprechen” by Lorenza Castella and Jascha Hannover), and worked on the films of Alberto Fasulo, including “Rumore Bianco,” “Tir” (AMC Award for Best Editing at the Rome Film Festival 2013), “Genitori,” and “Menocchio.” For years, he has worked across the Alps, dedicating himself to both documentaries and fiction, developing - among other things - a aversion to underscores.

An aspiring rockstar and relentless striker (often offside), Johannes spoke to us about how to live and survive in this job, always feeling responsible while avoiding unnecessary guilt.

Johannes nasce e vive in Germania, ma in Italia ha studiato il cinema e mosso i primi passi come montatore. È stato assembling editor per Gianfranco Rosi in “Below Sea Level”, ha montato documentari per Arte ("Das Wikipedia Versprechen" di Lorenza Castella e Jascha Hannover) e i film di Alberto Fasulo “Rumore Bianco”, “Tir” (Premio Amc miglior montaggio al Festival del cinema di Roma 2013), “Genitori” e “Menocchio”. Da anni lavora a cavallo delle Alpi, dedicandosi sia a documentari che a fiction, sviluppando - tra le altre cose - una avversione verso gli underscore.

Aspirante rockstar ed implacabile centravanti (spesso in fuorigioco), Johannes ci ha parlato di come vivere, e sopravvivere, a questo lavoro. Sentendosi sempre responsabili, ma evitando inutili sensi di colpa.
