Welcome everyone to the Ecommerce Unlocked podcast where we cut the fluff. Welcome everybody to the Ecommerce Unlocked podcast where we cut the fluff and discuss actionable strategies and insights and tactics to implement in your e-commerce business and drive real results. So I'm Russell, this is Emerson, and we are your hosts of the podcast.
Emerson (03:25.963)
We're really excited to be rebranding as ecommerce unlocked really to add more value to the ecommerce network, provide more tactical insights to everyone's business that you can actually drive results with. Like Russell said, we're not here to bring you the fluff of ecommerce. We're here to talk to the tacticians, the operators, the ones actually implementing strategies to really drive those results that hit home and drive those results that we're all looking for.
Russell Steed (03:49.368)
Yeah, we're just trying to kind of refocus ourselves as podcast hosts and honestly as e-commerce business owners. Emerson and I both own our own e-commerce brands. We've worked for multiple brands in the past and then we also work for a company that consults and helps a lot of e-commerce companies. And so we get exposed to a lot of different thoughts and a lot of different brands and a lot of different ways of thinking. And we want to bring those things to you guys on this podcast.
not just do kind of like the frilly, the nice stuff that everybody talks about, but really kind of getting into it and showing like how do you do these things and how can you drive difference, a major difference in your business because we're there, we've been there, and we want the tactical stuff that you can actually take into your everyday kind of operations.
Emerson (04:41.55)
And the thing about these tactics is tactics are always changing. So these concepts that we'll discuss and talk and dive into, they vary throughout times. They also vary at
business size levels, but these tactical things, they should be able to be applied in some degree in one shape form of another. And by the end of every episode, you should feel like, Hey, there's something I can do to do better on my business. There's additional insights that most podcasts may not be getting into on the tactical side. We're not here necessarily to tell frilly stories of how to make a quick buck or make a quick million or whatever it is. It's actual insights, utilizing software, utilizing partners, utilizing formulas.
and KPIs and all those sorts to really drive those results that we're all looking for. So we're excited to take this journey with you guys and continue to grow and share our knowledge and grow with our community's knowledge as well to make us all the best that we can be in the e-commerce industry.

Yeah, and just to wrap it up, if you haven't listened to any of our previous episodes, Emerson's the operations guy, the grumpy Q4 guy that doesn't like shipping out packages, but that's what he does for a living. And...
Emerson (05:53.083)
I like what I do. I just don't like how people don't do what they're supposed to do is my thing. My patience has gotten shorter maybe is what it is. But yeah, so hopefully we can keep you guys, those operators out there. We can stay as happy as possible and understand the best way to work with these partners and our teams to not to be less grumpy. So that's it. Happy gathering.
Russell Steed (05:58.481)
He just he just doesn't like dumb people

Yeah, it's a therapy session. This is actually just a therapy session for Emerson. For me, my background is a little bit in ops, but mostly in marketing. And so I think Emerson and I, we try to compliment each other's weaknesses and our strengths. And through this podcast, we hope that we can kind of show both sides of the coin, not just the sexy marketing stuff that everybody likes to talk about. And we can also talk about the boring stuff that Emerson likes to talk about too.
Emerson (06:23.812)
edit.
Emerson (06:43.41)
It's boring, but hey, if you don't have any product to ship, you got nothing to market, so you gotta be nice to us sometimes.
Russell Steed (06:48.96)
We'll buy you cookies. But anyway, we're excited for you all to join us on this journey and we'll be back with the next one. Peace. Oh, that was a cute little wink you did there. Sign off. Wink.
