Intro / Opening

Introduction to Seasonal Niches

So if you're thinking about getting started with high-ticket dropshipping and you're not sure which niche to choose or how to get started, definitely get my free mini-course and niches list at eCommerceParadise.com slash mini-course. So go check that out. But today I'm going to give you some seasonal niches and then some niches that are not seasonal that are evergreen and year-round work really well. So you can kind of get some ideas and then you can start doing some research on your own.

And if you're curious on how to do the research, Definitely get that free niches list because it comes with a free niche research training video, and you can watch through that and get an idea on how exactly to find competitors, find suppliers, and then plan your store out. Let's get into it.

Springtime Ideas

So springtime, some ideas are greenhouses and garden equipment.

Hydroponic systems, gardening tools, things like that, outdoor patio furniture, sets, lounge chairs, dining tables, outdoor space things maybe like yeah stuff like that electric bikes and scooters, outdoor storage sheds outdoor equipment outdoor fitness equipment like trampolines jungle gyms sports nets trampolines are pretty fun for kids i think also bounce houses kind of fit to that, all right let's talk about summertime luxury grills and outdoor kitchens pool accessories and spas,

like hot tubs and stuff like that, camping and glamping gear, big glamping tents, solar panels and backup power solutions for campers, RV owners, off-grade enthusiasts, high-end drones and outdoor photography gear.

Transition to Summer

All right, and then let's get to fall season. Fire pits and outdoor heating, patio heaters and stuff like that, fireplaces, hunting and outdoor gear, home office furniture, home brewing kits and wine fridges, wood stoves and fireplace inserts.

Fall Season Overview

All right, then wintertime, winter sports equipment, generators and backup power solutions, indoor fitness equipment, luxury home entertainment systems, saunas and infrared therapy equipment. So the thing about seasonality is that when you get into one of these niches, you can expect sales to be up a lot in that season. And then in the surrounding seasons, they kind of seem to wane.

And then in the off season, sales are down a lot. So you just have to kind of plan ahead and maybe even do more discounts in the off season and stuff like that to sort of spur sales.

Evergreen Niches Explained

Here's some evergreen niches that usually work year-round that aren't so affected by seasonality. Home security systems and safes. Office furniture and ergonomic equipment, medical and mobility equipment. High-end kitchen appliances, pet furniture, specialized pet equipment, eco-friendly products, renewable energy solutions.

Commercial and home gym equipment, music instruments and audio equipment, water filtration and purification systems, high-end baby gear, specialized photography videography equipment, commercial kitchen and restaurant equipment. So you have to do some research in all these niches to find if they're actually viable for high-ticket dropshipping and for you as an entrepreneur. The reason why I say you as an entrepreneur is because it really depends on you.

If you're just getting started with this stuff, then you're basically going to be taking on the job like a high-ticket sales rep, like a commissioned high-ticket sales rep for these products. You're going to be that, and then you're also going to be running your business, so you're going to be wearing a lot of hats.

The Role of the Entrepreneur

But the main thing is the high-ticket sales rep needs to know the products, needs to be involved in the industry. So you're going to have to learn some of these things. So whether they're profitable or not, if they are, great. You always kind of start there. Make sure there's competition. Make sure there's enough search volume demand. Make sure there's enough suppliers, that kind of thing. But then is it something that you're going to be willing to sell?

Because you're going to have to pick up the phone and make close sales, basically. Margins, you want to stick to suppliers that have margins of minimum 20%. 30% to 40% is ideal. Or higher, obviously. But when you're making those sales on the phone, they're going to be $1,000 to $5,000 sales. And then you're going to be keeping that difference in price as their commission, basically. And you're going to be handling payment to the supplier and payment from the customer to you.

That's how high-ticket dropshipping works. You're not selling your own products, you're selling other people's products, but you keep the commission, keep the difference. And you don't have to wait to get paid from the supplier, you get paid right away.

Researching the Market

But you do have to pay for the product before it ships out to the customer so you are taking the risk in that sense but these are all really really good niches to get into and you should definitely just learn how to do the research and get in there research is pretty simple, you just go onto Google Shopping, type in the niche and then try to find online stores in that niche that don't have a physical retail location ideally that are using Shopify stores and then

once you find those you can just double check they don't have any retail locations and then all their suppliers, all their brands that they offer in their store, those can be your potential suppliers. So then you can just kind of like create a demo store and then start recruiting suppliers. And then once you get that, it's onboard their products, optimize your store, set up marketing, set up ads, and start launching and taking phone calls and closing sales.
