Intro / Opening

Hey guys, welcome to the eCommerce Paradise podcast. This is your host, Trevor Fenner, and today I'm going to talk about how to use AI to find high-ticket product ideas.

Welcome to eCommerce Paradise

If it's your first time listening to my podcast, get my free mini-course and niches list at eCommerceParadise.com slash mini-course. This is for high-ticket dropshipping beginners, and we'll teach you how to get started and what products to choose for your niche store. So let's talk about it. It's really, really easy to get ideas now. in the past, you had to brainstorm stuff, maybe think about what you bought in the past, look around your house, that kind of stuff, and just write ideas down.

And you can definitely certainly still do that. I recommend just as you walk outside during the day, just take notes of anything you see that could potentially be $1,000 plus product or anything around your house you spent $1,000 or more on. That's potential for a great niche. Now, average order value on all of my stores has always been around $1,500. So that's why I'm always looking for products that are in that same category of like $1,000 to $2,000.

It could be lower, like $500, or higher, like $2,000, $3,000, $4,000, but on average, $1,500. But you don't have to do that anymore. You can use ChatGBT to get some great ideas for you, and you just have to use the app. So just go to chat.openai.com, or I think just chatgbt.com works now.

Using ChatGPT for Product Ideas

You can sign up for an account, and then it's free, and you can just ask ChatGBT, hey, give me some ideas of products that are expensive and over $1,000, and it'll just rifle off a bunch of them. I'm going to do it while I'm on this podcast right now just to kind of get an idea of what it says. Give me some ideas of products over... $1,000. See what it says. Here are some high-ticket product ideas. Home and living. Smart home security systems. High-end mattresses. Premium outdoor furniture sets.

Electric fireplaces. Luxury kitchen appliance packages. Home sauna kits. Massage chairs. Standing desks. Home theater projectors and screens. High-end coffee makers and espresso machines. I mean, it's just amazing. This list is full of, I mean, I would say probably 80% of those are perfectly fine. I've done a lot of research and made a bunch of research videos.

Exploring High-Ticket Niches

And there's certain categories that you can't really do a profitable store with just because maybe sometimes like just industry-wide there's some issues. Like sometimes the suppliers often want you to have a physical retail storefront. You're not really allowed to sell their products without one. Sometimes just there aren't enough suppliers in an industry in general. A lot of the brands, they just sell direct-to-consumer, otherwise known as DTC.

And they're not looking for online-only dealers. So smart home security systems, as far as I know, is one of those niches. You can't really sell them because most of the brands are GDC brands. Now, it's a great niche to get into if you're looking to start your own brand and you might be able to contact one of these companies and see if they'll private label for you.

But as far as dropshipping goes, typical dropshipping where you're an online dealer, you just market the products, sell it and so forth, they do the fulfillment, it might not work. But again, you can contact them, say, hey, I'm looking to start a brand of security cameras. I see you already have a brand. Do you have manufacturing set up and are you able to provide private label fulfillment for us?

And then it is possible that sometimes these brands, what they'll do is they'll actually allow you to just put your own brand name or even just don't put a brand name at all on it. And then, you know, as soon as you get an order, they'll ship it to your customer for you. But that's just something you have to ask them directly.

Mattresses, it's another industry like that. You're just not going to find that many suppliers that are going to offer, you know, You know, dealer accounts, silent-only stores. DDC brands, tons of DDC brands there. You really need a physical retail storefront to sell mattresses. But something like bed sets and specific types of bed sets like Murphy beds, those work great. So just keep that in mind. And finding the right product niche is all about drilling down.

You've got to really drill down into these specific categories and research each one.

Researching Competitors Effectively

But the goal here to find one that actually is going to work is to research and find online-only competitors.

Because if you can find someone that is selling these products online that doesn't have a physical retail storefront and has multiple brands on their site, so that means that they're not making the products themselves, then that means that there's competitors out there already doing that and their suppliers are probably going to dropship or probably already are dropshipping, so they probably will dropship for you too. But anyways, so ChatGPT just gives tons of great examples here.

Let's go on outdoors and adventure, electric bicycles, portable solar power stations, kayaks and paddle boards, rooftop tents, camping trailer attachments, drones with high-resolution cameras snowboards and skis premium barbecue grills and outdoor kitchens fishing boats and inflatable rafts luxury tents and camping gear tons of great ones there outdoor adventure has tons of search volume in the spring and summer so keep that in mind it's very seasonal but you know it can be a

very high seasonal thing so super super you know high sales in the spring and summer so it might be good you can always like have a store that focuses on things that are winter seasonal like fireplaces or saunas and then have a store that's focused on like summer seasonal like solar power stations or outdoor grills you know inflatable rafts that kind of stuff fitness and wellness these are going to be like all year round usually because you know

people are going to need this stuff all year round um home gym equipment personal saunas infrared therapy devices high quality massage guns smart exercise bikes home bodies reformers professional boxing rings adjustable dumbbell sets hyperbaric chambers advanced yoga mats and exercise platforms full body workout machines. Technology and electronics. So it kind of goes on and on. It gave me like 100 niches here. So that's great.

And you guys can also get my free mini course niches list. So you can check that out as well, ecommerceparadise.com slash mini course. There's just tons of great ideas here. And in that niches list that I delivered to you, I have a free niche research training video that shows you how to go about exactly finding these competitor stores through Google Shopping. And then you can get an exact idea whether this is something that's going to

work out for you or not. And there's tons of more research stuff I go through in my high-ticket dropshipping masterclass, over-the-shoulder stuff that's like really in-depth stuff that is super specific.
