¶ Podcast Intro and Vacation Vocabulary
Hallo zusammen, willkommen bei Easy German Dialogues. Leichte Dialoge auf Deutsch. Episode 9: Urlaub, Vacation At first, here are some important words and phrases that you might need for the dialogue. If you want to skip the words and go right to the dialogue, skip to about 3 minutes and 10 seconds. The first word is Willaub. Urlaub. Der Urlaub means vacation. The second word is mere. Mea. Thus mere means the ocean or the sea. The third word is bequim. Bequim. Bequem means comfortable.
And you can use it for comfortable objects like furniture um or clothing. You can say the sofa is bequem. You can say Die Hose ist bequem, the pants are comfortable, but you can also say it when a situation is comfortable. For example, when you s wanna say that going by car is more comfortable, then you can say Mit dem Auto fahren ist bequemer. The fourth word is berge. Die berge are the mountains. The fifth word is van. Vandan.
Wandern means to hike. So when you want to go for a hike, you say Ich gehe wandern. The next word is Hütte. Hütte Die Hütte means a hut or a cabin. So a small house, when you want to stay in a hut or in a cabin in the mountains, then you call it eine Hütte. The next word ist gemütlich. Gemütlich. Gemütlich means cozy or comfortable. It's similar to bequem. But gemutlich you use it in a slightly different way. Um, gemutlich is more for a situation or maybe a place.
And if you wanna if you wanna say something about a place, you would say gemütlich. So for example, when you wanna say that the cabin that you're staying in is very cozy, you would say die ist gemütlich. because it's more about the feeling, not as much about the physical sensation of it being comfortable. So these two words are similar, but you use them slightly differently. Und das last word ist Lagerfeuer. Lagerfeuer. Das Lagerfeuer means campfire. Okay, jetzt viel Spaß mit dem Dialog.

Hey Lukas, schön dich zu sehen. Hi Julia, wie geht's dir? Ganz gut, aber ein bisschen stress. Ich plane gerade meinen Urlaub. Ich will ans Meer fahren. Oh, cool. Wohin genau? Nach Italien. An die Adria. Da war ich noch nie. Klingt cool. Fährst du mit dem Auto? Nein, ich fahre mit dem Zug. Das ist bequemer. Ja, das stimmt. Fährst du alleine? Nein, meine Schwester kommt mit. Wir fahren zusammen. Und du? Machst du noch Urlaub? Ja, ich möchte in die Berge fahren. Oh, zum Wandern? Ja.
Wandern, frische Luft, Natur. Ich liebe die Berge. Das klingt echt schön. Mit zwei Freunden. Wir wollen in Österreich wandern. Wir fahren mit dem Auto. So sind wir flexibel. Ja, das ist praktisch. Wie lange bleibt ihr in Österreich? Eine Woche. Wir mieten eine kleine Hütte. Oh, eine Hütte in den Bergen. Das ist bestimmt gemütlich. Ja, wir kochen selber, wir machen Lagerfeuer. Ich freue mich schon sehr. Was macht ihr in Italien? Ich will im Urlaub viel schwimmen.
