Episode description
In 1900, 20 miles off the coast, one of Scotland's greatest mysteries unfolded on the Flannan Isles. Its lighthouse, finished just one year earlier, failed to turn on. For days it remained dark, and when a ship came to relieve the island's keepers, they found the island deserted. All three lighthouse keepers had vanished into thin air, leaving little to no clues. Was it a rogue wave? Was it a murder suicide? Maybe a sea monster or UFO? Anything is possible. We'll dig into the conditions of their quarters and read entries from their logbook to determine what really happened on that cold December day. Happy haunting!
