Drowning in Layoffs: The Gaming's Uncertain Future | Easy Achievers Ep.182

2024 is almost halfway through and we are inching closer to nearly 10,000 lost jobs this year alone. It seems we are at a troubling time in the industry as on the surface Gaming is making more money than ever before and is ahead of all of its competitors in terms of money earned. However, ballooning budgets, economic effects, and much more factors are hurting the industry in its most important and weakest section, money. Combine all these factors are I believe gaming's future is uncertain. We know from much smarter people than I that gaming is not growing which is causing the big competitors to get creative on how they will increase their margins. That is what I want to discuss today, not to find a solution to this but to start a conversation on the how and why and what in the future may change.
