The R.E.S.T. Method Overview

  • The R.E.S.T. method presents a four-part scriptural framework to help believers overcome anxiety and depression through God’s Word:
    • R: Release control to God (Philippians 4:6-7).
    • E: Embrace God’s promises (2 Corinthians 1:20).
    • S: Seek God’s presence daily (Psalm 16:11).
    • T: Trust in God’s timing (Isaiah 40:31).
  • The R.E.S.T. method is not a quick fix but a spiritual journey, a lifelong call for transformation, if you will. It calls for daily practices that renew the mind and reshape our perspective on suffering and the true definition of peace. To live a life we are called to in scripture (see Matthew 5-7) Release control, Embrace His’ promises, Seek His’ presence and Trust His’ timing.
