Episode description

Subscribe to  @eastcoastdna  for more features and bonus music coverage throughout the year. Katelyn Danielle is a singer/songwriter from Pictou County, NS. Influenced by Taylor Swift, Phoebe Bridgers, and Noah Kahan, Katelyn writes intelligently-overthought indie-folk inspired songs with unabashed lyrics and acoustic vibes (with the occasional synth and slide). Katelyn started her journey into music in early 2023 when she started playing at open mic nights under mentorship from local musician Cory Mercer. She is currently in the process of recording her first EP. The first single, "Down", is now available on streaming services. Join East Coast DNA host Darcy Walsh for a chat with Katelyn and stick around for a special live performance of the lead single from her upcoming EP. 00:00 Katelyn Danielle visits East Coast DNA 00:30 Chat with Katelyn 04:01 Roots 09:46 Backstage 22:42 New single and upcoming EP 30:37 Down performed live by Katelyn Danielle Instagram @katelyndani YouTube  @KatelynDani
