Sommo Festival is entering it's second year and East Coast DNA was so eager to get the skinny on this year's Sandbar stage lineup, we stopped to get the update from Taylor Jack directly. Bringing together an undeniably eclectic mix of all genres, the collection of performances make the upcoming two-day festival a must attend event. Taking place September 13-14, Sommo Festival offers an experience like no other, pairing globally recognized talent and celebrity chefs with the scenic backdrop of the coastal resort community, Cavendish PE. “We are so excited to finally announce the Amazon Music Sandbar Stage lineup,” said Ben Murphy, CEO of Whitecap Entertainment. “We're even more excited to have partnered with Amazon Music to bring one of our strongest Sandbar Stage lineups to life. With their help and insight we have gathered an incredible array of musicians spanning various genres, making us confident that Sommo will deliver an exceptional experience to every single attendee, no matter their musical preference.” Offering an eclectic mix of indie-rock, R&B, Hip-Hop and alternative folk music, the Amazon Music Sandbar Stage will kick off on Friday with local Islander indie-rock trio Absolute Losers, Calgary's singer-songwriter and Project Wild winner Shaela Miller, viral music sensation Lily Fitts whose version of 'Stick Season” caught the attention of Friday night's Grammy-Nominated headliner Noah Kahan, NBC's The Voice contestant and rising indie pop talent Zach Seabaugh, multi-Platinum, 4x JUNO-nominated pop singer-songwriter and producer Elijah Woods and rising Canadian superstar and 3x JUNO-award winning rapper TOBi. Concluding the weekend filled with exceptional performances will be Charlottetown's indie-rock band NORTER, Jim Beam National Talent Search Winners Andre Pettipas and The Giants, viral Canadian TikTok sensation LØLØ, GOLD-Certified singer-songwriter BabyJake, acoustic storyteller Jonah Kagen and Nova Scotian SOCAN x SiriusXM Young Canadian Songwriters Award winner Maggie Andrew. Sommo Festival remains unparalleled, blending extraordinary musical performances with delicious culinary pairings in a way that is truly unique. With main stage headlining performances by Noah Kahan and Greta Van Fleet complemented with culinary experiences by Mary Berg, Chef Laurent Dagenais and Old Time Hawkey, Sommo promises to be a one of a kind experience that foodies and music lovers won't want to miss.
