In this workshop about online communication (on the EA Forum and elsewhere), we’re brainstorming and developing thoughts on the following questions: What can online communication and discussions achieve? What’s the point? Given the goals we have, what makes discussions or communication more useful? What norms do we want to support to encourage that? Practical tips: What tools can we use? When should we take discussions offline? Etc. And more. Then we’ll spend a bit of time talking about how we can apply this to specific discussions we think are important. Lizka runs the EA Newsletter, the EA Forum Digest, and the non-engineering side of the EA Forum at the Centre for Effective Altruism, and helps with a wide range of other content projects.
