Longtime friend of the podcast Leor Galil returns to Dynasty Podcasts to discuss a new collection of his music writing from the Chicago Reader. Titled Chicago Pop Stars, Hardcore Heroes, and House Legends: 10 Years of Chicago Reader Music Features, the collection features 20 of Galil's best longford music features from the Chicago Reader. Galil speaks about selecting the stories featured in the collection, and how a larger narrative of figures from the Chicago music community appear through the various articles. Galil also speaks about the mission of the Chicago Independent Media Alliance (CIMA), which is a collective of Chicago media outlets banding together to organize support initiatives, and shares his thoughts on the status of live music during and after the age of COVID-19.
