When I was a kid, I was very adventurous. Als kind was ik heel avontuurlijk. My friends and I used to skip school and go to the video arcade. Mijn vrienden en ik spijbelden vaak van school en gingen naar de speelhal. The sense of freedom I had when I got my drivers license was unmatched. Het gevoel van vrijheid dat ik had toen ik mijn rijbewijs haalde, was ongeëvenaard. Riding the bus to school was the worst. Met de bus naar school gaan was het ergste.

When I was in school, the teachers would hit us with rulers. Toen ik op school zat, sloegen de leraren ons met linialen. My parents were emphatic in their religious beliefs. Mijn ouders waren nadrukkelijk in hun religieuze overtuigingen. My family used to have an annual reunion. Mijn familie had vroeger een jaarlijkse reünie. We used to go fishing at the river most Sundays. Meestal gingen we op zondag vissen in de rivier. For my birthday, all my extended family members would come over.

Voor mijn verjaardag kwamen al mijn uitgebreide familieleden langs. I’m still recovering from my childhood. Ik ben nog steeds aan het herstellen van mijn kindertijd. When I was in college I loved going to rock concerts. Toen ik op de universiteit zat, ging ik graag naar rockconcerten. My taste in music has changed so much over the years. Mijn muzieksmaak is door de jaren heen enorm veranderd. I have traveled to 15 different countries. Ik ben naar 15 verschillende landen gereisd.

I still remember the first time I saw the ocean. Ik herinner me nog de eerste keer dat ik de oceaan zag. There are some freedoms I miss about childhood. Er zijn een aantal vrijheden die ik mis in mijn kindertijd. Mostly I just love being an adult! Meestal vind ik het gewoon heerlijk om volwassen te zijn!
