Let's go! Where is the nearest hospital? Waar is het dichtstbijzijnde ziekenhuis? What is the emergency number for this area? Wat is het noodnummer voor dit gebied? Is there cell phone service there? Is daar mobiele telefoonservice? Are there any common natural disasters around here? Zijn er hier veelvoorkomende natuurrampen? Is it wildfire season here? Is het hier bosbrandenseizoen? Are there earthquakes or tsunamis in this area? Zijn er aardbevingen of tsunami's in dit gebied?

Where do people go in case of tsunami? Waar gaan mensen heen in geval van een tsunami? Are there poisonous plants or animals in this area? Zijn er giftige planten of dieren in dit gebied? How can we prevent encountering them? Hoe kunnen we voorkomen dat we ze tegenkomen? What do we need to bring in case of a bite or infection? Wat moeten we meenemen bij een beet of infectie? A first aid kit is a necessity. Een EHBO-doos is een noodzaak. We need to purchase bandages and a cleaning solution.

We moeten verband en een schoonmaakmiddel kopen. We need to bring lots of water if we’ll be in a remote area. Als we in een afgelegen gebied komen, moeten we veel water meenemen. Do you have a way to purify water to make it drinkable? Heeft u een manier om water te zuiveren zodat het drinkbaar wordt? Is there anything else we should be aware of before we go? Is er nog iets waar we op moeten letten voordat we gaan? It’s always better to be safe than sorry!

Het is altijd beter om het zekere voor het onzekere te nemen!
