Last week, IMAX announced a special event—taking place on July 21 and 22, in select theaters across the globe—which would include the debut of the second trailer for Dune (2021).

Fans were thrilled to learn that this IMAX exclusive would actually be an extended preview of the movie, running over 30 minutes. The event consisted of:

1. Behind-the-scenes, with comments from cast, crew, and producers,
2. First 10 minutes of the Dune movie,
3. The Spice harvester / sandworm scene,
4. Conversation between Denis Villeneuve and Hans Zimmer, including preview of the latter's score,
5. Debut of the main Dune trailer.
