Bugsnax is a cute indie that caught a lot of attention with its catchy theme song, but did you know there's a whole game behind that song? We play this cute combination of Pokemon Snap and Ape Escape, navigating Snaktooth Island and catching bugs who happen to be snacks. The goal? To help the townspeople and learn the truth of what's really happening on this island, with these snacks who happen to be bugs. A big thanks to Cody for executive producing this episode! This week's highlight is Rod Sy...

Each quarter we dip into our big bag of questions, find the ones that have gone unanswered, and round them up for this bonus show. This quarter we cover a variety of topics, including demo disks, whether or not we'd like to Total Recall all media, the importance of user experience, and much more. Thanks for your support!

Everything To Guppy is a weekly comedy/gaming podcast that releases four 15-minute episodes in a single hour-long chunk every Tuesday for reasons that seemed good at the time. Gary Butterfield (Watch Out For Fireballs) and William Hughes (The A.V. Club) attempt to analyze every single item, boss, character, and concept in the rogue-lite video game The Binding Of Isaac. They manage to pull it off only slightly less than 50 percent of the time.

Rise of the Dragon is a perfectly serviceable first person adventure game, held back by some misguided action sequences and a predictable plot. Cyber drugs? You're kidding me! So once we dispense with the formalities, Gary regales us with a tale of his return to the All-American Magic Show. Sometimes you CAN step in the same river twice.

If you thought the Lands Between were already big, I would like to have seen your face when you realized that there was a whole other map waiting for you beneath the surface. This week, we begin Ranni's quest by meeting her at the Three Sisters rises, and work together with Blaidd to try (unsuccessfully) to reach the forbidden city of Nokron. Instead, we find a false night and whole new cultures worshipping in the caverns under foot.

Covering: New Mutants #46 Thor #373 Power Pack #27 Thor #374 Reminder that you can read along with and ahead of the show by subscribing to Marvel Unlimited (we don't get paid for you doing that, so it's not an ad, it's just a cool service). We're stretching definitions here a bit, but it's for a purpose. "American Movie" is a documentary about the amateur production of a short horror film called "Coven". It tells the story of its long and troubled process, all centered around its inept but persuasive director Mark Borchardt. We've talked about indie horror movies here, but American Movie documents one of the last times when a production like this could have happened, before filmmaking was fully democratized by digital video technol...

WiiWare is an untapped market for us, and Gary brought in a doozie: a game about eating a lot in a very short amount of time. And you know what? It's not that terrible. It would at least have kept us entertained for a night in our dirtbag early twenties. So listen in and hear us talk about competitive eating, and learn a little more about Gary's horrible childhood.

Having explored the Academy of Raya Lucaria, it's time to set our sights on the other seat of power in Liurnia: Caria Manor. All of this is in service of our quest to find the witch Ranni, a demigod who seems to be pulling a lot of strings. And to get to her, we'll need to deal with a whole lot of fingerspiders.

Wario is one of Nintendo's secret best weapons. As "the opposite of Mario" he is an aesthetic triumph, indulging in every vice and drawing us in with his shamelessness. And for a while, he was the star of his own series of puzzle platformers on Nintendo portable systems. Wario Land 4 is an odd duck in that sub-series, with a more action-oriented presentation that doesn't leave the puzzles behind. And best of all? It hardly repeats itself, giving the player a buffet of unique visual and gameplay ...

It's the year 2012 and vacations are outlawed, so instead of just kicking back at home you engage in some car combat to cart unpleasant tourists around. Rogue Trip's premise is messy, and built on a genre that we don't really care for at all. But it might be a good idea to add some non-killing mechanics to car combat, so it's hard to write this off entirely. The characters are garbage though, and not in the intentional way they're trying for.

Dragonfable is the long-forgotten followup to Adventure Quest, and somehow it still runs, and somehow you can still play it. Cribbing heavily from the hyper self-aware diction of webcomics in the mid-2000s, this is a repetitive, grindy RPG that's perfectly at home on this show.

Here we are at the end of the series, what was regrettably the finale before the movie was announced. It's time for the Monarch to ascend to a Level Ten villain status, and the Guild puts on a big show about Saphrax and Altheaus, the original villain and henchman, to commemorate it. It's... incongruous. Meanwhile, Dean shares sweet moments with a comatose Hank, while Hank ventures through a psychedelic mindscape, and Brock slaughters tens of henchmen for the first time in a long time. Special th...

Gilligan's Island is a hell named after its devil. The incompetent first mate of the S.S. Minnow bumbles about with an efficiency that cannot be accidental, ensuring that the island's flawed inhabitants will never again see another shore. The world was clamoring for two things: a remake of Uniracers, and a mascot for Iguana Entertainment. And with Iggy's Reckin' Balls, it got both! This 2.5D racer supposes an abstract world made of racetracks and towers where spherical nonsense monsters vie to win races.
