This week we answer your questions and prompts, and talk about times in our lives when we "fell out of love with games". Times when we stopped playing as many games, why that happened, and what brought us back in. We also read your thoughts on Devil May Cry and Disco Elysium. Support Watch Out for Fireballs!
Everything To Guppy is a bite-sized, four-times weekly comedy/gaming podcast in which Gary Butterfield (Watch Out For Fireballs) and William Hughes (The A.V. Club) attempt to analyze every single item, boss, character, and concept in the rogue-lite video game The Binding Of Isaac. They manage to pull it off only slightly less than 50 percent of the time.
This month we talk about 2017's Annihilation , starring Natalie Portman and based off of the novel of the same name by Jeffrey Vandermeer. Portman is part of a team of scientists sent into "The Shimmer", an expanding zone of corrupted nature that arrived with a meteor strike. The team falls one by one as things get stranger and less reliable.
Just in case you ever wanted to fight a doorway.
Amazing X-Men #4 Reminder that you can read along with and ahead of the show by subscribing to Marvel Unlimited (we don't get paid for you doing that, so it's not an ad, it's just a cool service). You can also use Comixology, or buy the trades from your local comic book shop (the preferred method, if we're being honest). Be sure to check with your local library to see if they have them there! You can find one using this site Music by Gary, podcast art by our friend Wayne...

I mean, snakes are pretty scary already.
Probably one of the most hideous games we've covered for the show?

Listen, Britain. You tried to pull a fast one on us. You pretend to be all smooth and clever, exporting media that shows an acerbic wit alongside truly engaging whimsey. But that facade can't last forever. Not when we here in America know about the disaster of bad taste that is "Little Britain", a sketch show whose only rule seems to be "punch down". And someone thought it would be a good idea to make a minigame collection out of its most infamous sketches. Shame on you.
It turns out Kirby is a Great Old One after all.

A dude in the Dreamlands who knows the answer to the one question you don't want to ask.
A baffling game gives way to a discussion on obstinate linguistics.
IllusoryWall graciously joins us to talk about content and concepts that were planned for Dark Souls, but were ultimately left out. This includes dialogue, bosses, and even DLC content that was originally planned to be part of the main game. We encourage you to back IllusoryWall's patreon and watch the Dark Souls Dissected video series.

Vampire: The Masquerade: Bloodlines 2 delayed to 2020. Rocksteady is working on a Suicide Squad game. Minecraft Dungeons gets new...
As normal, somwhat neurotic and flabby humans, we take this entry personally.
Big thanks to Moonborne! Though it has some early installment clunk, it's not that often that we get to play what is arguably (please don't argue with us) the first of a genre. Does it hold up? Does the devil cry? Does Dante get to 2nd base with someone who looks like his mom? Find out!
This is the second and final part of our Disco Elysium coverage, picking up roughly with day two of the investigation and going full-tilt into learning not just the cause of the murder, but also what's really happening in this world politically, spiritually, and emotionally. I don't want to spend a lot of time heaping sugar on the game in this post, because we do a lot of that in the episode, but it can't be overstated how special this game is. Support Watch Out for Fireballs!...
