We welcome Legend of Grimrock II to the pantheon of masterpieces we've covered for the show. It's a throwback to retro dungeon crawlers with tense combat and ingenious puzzles. It's light on story, but heavy on atmosphere, and consistently good throughout. People who like when we gush about good games will like this episode a lot. Support Watch Out for Fireballs!

Everything To Guppy is a bite-sized, four-times weekly comedy/gaming podcast in which Gary Butterfield (Watch Out For Fireballs) and William Hughes (The A.V. Club) attempt to analyze every single item, boss, character, and concept in the rogue-lite video game The Binding Of Isaac. They manage to pull it off only slightly less than 50 percent of the time.

This won't go how you think. Get ready for this to be slightly more positive than you expect. When the trailer for Doom: Annihilation came out, we were shocked at how bad it looked. The full product isn't actually "good", but there's some SyFy Original fun to be had here. It's cheap and it lacks subtlety, and it's a vague re-telling of Doom 3 through the eyes of the chosen religious soldier Joan Dark. Like I said, it isn't subtle.

Thanks Jack! Gary and Kole turn out the lights and get cute-spooky with the forgotten Mario Brother. This charming, bite sized adventure oozes with polish and though it was unfairly maligned in its day, it was way ahead of its time. Take a listen! Support Watch Out for Fireballs!

We both like Bomberman quite a lot. This, though, is not Bomberman, because it succumbs to the late-90s sickness of needing to make everything a mascot platformer with shitty friends and too much dialogue. Also, we talk about quarantine and weird reviews. Because of course we do!

Yes, this is a full-length commentary track for the movie CATS, recorded by Will and Gary. You probably don't need to watch the movie to enjoy it, but it is pretty fun. Also, this is the only episode we'll be putting out this week; hopefully, the fact that it's two hours long will make up for the lack of Isaac content.

We love the Dark Souls Randomizer. It's popped up in a few of our live streams, and we're in the middle of running a let's play series about it. So we took the time to record an hour specifically about how randomizer runs work, and what the appeal is. Don't worry, Surge heads, we're starting it up next episode.

Necronomicon: Book of the Dead is a straight to video horror anthology movie. H.P. Lovecraft finds a copy of the fabled book, and reads three stories of woe out of it. The movie itself is mostly schlocky fun, but it's hard to call this a very good adaptation of any of Lovecraft's stories.

Hey everyone, we've got some announcements. You can listen to the audio for full details, but it boils down to: the Midwest Gaming Classic in Milwaukee has been canceled, the Portland Retro Games Expo has been canceled, and we cannot in good conscience plan and execute a Duckfest with the global pandemic being what it is. We will not be doing any live events this year, and this really, really bums us out. To ameliorate this, we will be holding a virtual Duckfest sometime in June, and also puttin...
