We round out puzzle month with the ultimate "puzzle" game, so elemental that you can't imagine it not existing. Alexy Pajitnov and a crew of colleagues in the USSR birthed the game, and it followed a long and complicated trail to becoming a worldwide phenomenon. This episode relates that story, talks about how Tetris has changed over the years, and looks at some recent excellent Tetris games. Support Watch Out for Fireballs!
Everything To Guppy is a bite-sized, four-times weekly comedy/gaming podcast in which Gary Butterfield (Watch Out For Fireballs) and William Hughes (The A.V. Club) attempt to analyze every single item, boss, character, and concept in the rogue-lite video game The Binding Of Isaac. They manage to pull it off only slightly less than 50 percent of the time.
Phil Hartman was a hero of comedy. Referred to as "The Glue" on the set of SNL, his special skill was to hold his co-stars together and be whatever they needed in order to make the sketch work. Consummate and dependable supporting players are extremely rare, and he managed to lift everyone around him up in a way that's admirable. Hartman's untimely death was absurdly tragic, and the fact that one of his last performances was in Blasto is depressing to the extreme.

It's Pokémon without the charm!

Last week we rescued Kuro and learned of our greater quest: to find a way to sever his immortality. One of the ingredients we need is a blade which can kill the unkillable, the Mortal Blade, which means we've got to go to Senpou Temple. This episode covers the entire Senpou Temple path, through the Abandoned Dungeons and into Mt. Kongo, culminating in the boss fight against the Folding Screen Monkeys.

Gary and Kole chat about the surprisingly decent Dishonored comic that no one else has ever talked to you about.
Hiya folks! This week we're covering two episodes of X-Men Evolution: X-Impulse, in which we meet Kitty Pryde, apparently the valley girl of the X-Men, and Rogue Recruit, in which we meet Goth Rogue and adore her. Enjoy the episode!

Just your basic Wendigo. No big deal.
The early 90s were a very strange time for PC games, almost solely because of the introduction of the CD-ROM drive. This new techology revealed two paths for the industry, both of which would be pretty short-lived: The Myst path of baroque, isolated puzzle voids, and the 7th Guest path of FMV movies with puzzles slightly attached. The stories of Henry Stauf's infernal mansion are almost too out there to be believed, and we definitely don't recommend that you play these games to completion, but w...
For Patrons only, we have this slight episode about a slight game that none-the-less has some charms to offer.

Swagman is extremely ugly and bad, so we spend most of our time pitching a new series: The Many Deaths and Infinite Hells of George Costanza. If anyone knows how to get this to Jason Alexander, please let us know.

Autumn Greer joins me once more to talk about the middle portion of Song of Susannah, which follows the adventures of Eddie and Roland in Maine in 1977. They arrive in the middle of an ambush organized by the forces of the Crimson King, and face down a completely contemptible Calvin Tower, who is more than ready to renege on his deal. Meanwhile, Susannah and Detta squeeze more answers out of a reticent Mia who is also in denial.
