Episode description

Seek the Lord in the secret place of your heart. Duane Sheriff teaches that Christian meditation is vital to our spiritual growth and understanding of God's Word. Meditation is not a mental exercise but a spiritual discipline that involves pondering, imagining, and speaking God's truth.

Psalm 19:14 says, "Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord." This verse highlights how meditation involves both our thoughts and our words. Everyone meditates on something all the time - the key is choosing to meditate on God's truth rather than worries or lies.

Psalm 1:1-3 describes those who meditate on God's Word day and night are like trees planted by streams of water, bearing fruit in season and prospering in all they do. Christian meditation is not about emptying one's mind but filling it with God's truth. Take time to ponder, imagine, and speak God's Word to allow it to transform your thoughts, attitudes, and actions.
