Mike Trauner was declared clinically dead twice. He served in the Canadian Armed Forces for almost 19 years with the 3rd Battalion Royal Canadian Regiment at CFB Petawawa and was injured on December 5th, 2008, when an IED exploded resulting in the loss of both his legs and catastrophically injuring his arms and hands.
