Practice are Al Fitzpatrick touchdown. What a win for this Miami Dolphin team. What is up, Dolphins? And welcome to the Drive Time Podcast, part of the Miami Dolphins official podcast network, covering your Miami Dolphins each and every day. How's it going everybody? I am your host, Travis Winkfield. It is Monday, and we are here to bring you your daily dose of Miami Dolphins football. And on today's show, we are back. After a light day on Sunday, it's

back to full padded practices today. It's a little bit windy and blustery out there, which is a very welcome thing down here in South Florida. Will have all the notes and details from practice, plus audio from coach Ryan Fitzpatrick, Preston Williams, and Andrew Van Ginkl. All of that and more on this Monday training Camp August edition of the

Drivetime Podcast Miami Dolphins. And over the weekend, the Dolphins went back to a well that has been a quality resource for roster acquisitions over the course of this franchise's history. Last year it was Sam Oguavin and of course in the past number nine one Cameron Wake. Both those guys came to Miami by way of the CFL. And now we've got another and safety Nate Holly. Holly originally entered the NFL on June when he signed with the l A Rams. He spent training camp there before he was

waived in September. He also spent some time with the Nebraska Danger of the Indoor Football League and then with the Calgary Stampeters of the Canadian Football League last year. He was named the CFL's most Outstanding Rookie following that season after he told seventy eight tackles, two on special teams, one sack had an interception, all of that coming in eighteen games. All rightlet's go ahead and get to coach

Flores media, but first before we do that. As the official wellness provider and sports medicine provider of the Miami Dolphins, Baptist Health is ready and committed to continue caring for you safely. This pandemic has reminded us that crisis doesn't build character, it reveals it. It's also taught us that our health is truly what matters most. who do you wear a mask for? Mask? Up South, Florida, Keep caring, live healthy, stay strong, and learn more at

Baptist health dot net slash coronavirus. All right, let's go ahead and get to coach Flora's is Monday morning media availability and start with the question that was posed to coach about a specific play on Saturday that occurred, and the question asked him to kind of break down what happened, and Coach basically said, he's not going to get into the specifics, but here's a response he had that I thought was very interesting in the middle of his response

in general to that question, there's a lot that goes into a specific play. Uh, you know, was it a blown coverage? Was it not a blown coverage? Was a mental error? What you guys say, see maybe a little deceiving at times? And then coach said, we're gonna just go ahead and even at that. So, yeah, football is a complex sport. Next question, Coach was asked about Andrew Van Ginkle in the progress he's made so far here in your number two. Well, you know, Andrew's a tough kid. Um,

he's got length, he's got some speed. Um. I thought he did a solid jock for us in the kicking game. A year ago. Um, you know, the last six games of the season. Um, he's a smart kid. It's very important to him, and he's improving and getting better. Well, he'll get some opportunities definitely throughout training camp and we'll see what happens when we get to, uh, you know, the regular season. He's improving, he's getting better. I'm very

I'm happy with where he is. And up next here here is coach talking about Dolphins second year wide receiver Preston Williams and how he's hungry to be on the field for every snap, whether it's in the kicking game on offense, he would never come off the field if it was up to him. Well, I mean, anyone who can return punts, you know, we're gonna we're gonna work him back there. Preston obviously with the with the injury

a year ago, UM, let's see somebody. We we we've kind of you know, we're just trying to be uh. I want to say cautious. That's probably the wrong word, but we want to watch his reps and watch the amount of watch the amount of reps that we're putting on him. He's working hard, he wants to be out there. He wants to return every punt. He wants to go out there for every uh really every snap. If we didn't, you know, we didn't manage him, he would, you know,

he'd be out there every place. So coming off a knee, we we've got to manage him, which we've done, uh in the punt return, you know. As part of that management, the team held a walkthrough at the stadium at hard Rock Stadium on Sunday, and here's coach talking about how important it was to get some of the new guys out there just to get familiar with the surroundings they're gonna see on Sunday's come the regular season. It's good.

I think we need to. You know, a lot of guys, we had a lot of new players, they've never been there. They've never seen our locker room, they've um they don't know what the training room is, or where the equipment room is, or you know where the showers are or um, you know how we walk out to the tunnel. You know, I think it's it's good to get out there. You know, it's our home stadium. So where's the where's the game clock?

Where's the for the second clock? I think those things you know as a coaching staff to check the headsets and you know, do a dry run from that standpoint. But we got a lot out of it. You know, It's it's always good to go to the stadium and get on the grass there and get a feelful where we're gonna actually, you know, play the games that we're preparing. Um, you know so much for it, and we're putting all

this hard work and energy into these practices. It's good to get out there and you know, even in a walk through setting to to kind of feel the atmosphere of being at the stadium. So I think we got a lot out of it. We talked a little bit about the accolades of Nate Holly, new Dolphins safety coming over from the Canadian Football League. Here's coach Flora's talking about that signing and what Nate Holly brings to the Dolphins defense and special teams. You know, Nate's a good

year in the CFL a year ago. Um, he's fast, he's tough, you know, as far as positions, you know, right now, we're just gonna get him out there, probably more in the safety role safety by as special team, but he's played some linebackers, so you know, look, his role is gonna be what he makes it. Like we tell all all the all the players on the team, Um, you know, I don't. I don't consider myself. I'm not a really good recruiter. I mean that's that's that's no,

that wasn't my role in this. Uh but you know it came in. He worked out and did a good job. I want to work out, but I think you know, an opportunity to play on any NFL teams is a is a it's a privilege. So m he took the opportunity, and you know, we're happy to have him. He says it all the time, but I love that phrasing. Your role is gonna be what you make it on this football team. Next, coach was asked about how often he feels like Ryan Fitzpatrick makes him forget that he's actually

thirty seven years old. I talked about his touchdown run during Saturday's practice and how much it looks like he still just enjoys being out here. Here's coach Floress talking about Ryan Fitzpatrick at thirty seven, showing his youthful side. You know, probably every day, you know, I'm thirty nine and it's hard to think that I could go out there and you know, getting a huddle and run around with these guys, you know, as much as he does.

So look, it's a testament to the way he works in the off season and his work ethic and his town and ability. So he's a good player. He's a competitive guy, he's smart, and he just has you know, good feel for you know, the quarterback position. He's got good leadership. So probably every day and that will do it. If you want to go see Coach Floors his entire press conference, you can check that out on Miami Dolphins dot com, on our YouTube page, basically wherever the Miami

Dolphins are you can find that content. We'll go ahead and now and turn it over to the practice notes for the day on this Monday, Augus edition, the sixth day of padded practices, and we start as we do every day, with a few notes here. Jerome Baker was back out on the practice field, so that was good to see. A few players did not finish practice, however, linebacker Kyle van Noy, running back Patrick Laired, and cornerback Noah ig Bitogamy. We're not out there at the end

of practice. We'll go ahead and get you guys an update on them just as soon as we have it. It was a bit of a lighter practice on Monday, lots of special teams work, and as you know, coach will harp on the importance of the kicking game as much as he possibly can, so no surprise there. They opened up practice with some kid cutting on the music, so that was a plus, especially since it was the first time I've heard a song that I recognized so

far in training camp. The bad news was the cherry pickers were setting up on the far field, which makes it a lot more difficult to get you real insight and analysis on the plays as they happen, particularly on the offensive and defensive line up front. And boy was it windy out there. The roster cards we all get every day, we're blowing all over the place. At one point my sunglasses on the table, even those as heavy as they are, shifted off the platform. But we welcome

that weather here on these hot summer days. I only broke a mild sweat today, so that was a big plus. Up on the media press row, my first note from the individual drills is that Christian Wilkins, we talked about this just looks so much slimmer and is moving around like he is too. I saw him drop into the hook zone during the individual drills and snatch a one handed interception up over his head. He is so athletic for a guy that wighs three hundred and fifteen pounds.

I saw Xavian Howard down on the field doing some conditioning drills. He was bouncing around pretty good, so that was nice to see from the Dolphin's cornerback. Got my eyes over in the linebackers and watched Kyle van Noy for a couple of drills. He was working on his hand drills in the individuals and the rush moves, and you see all that stuff come together with lateral agility to run all those stunts and twists and games up front. We love to see it's clockwork for this guy. He

really stands out among the rest in that way. Gary Jennings touchdown at the end of practice a bonus red zone period from two a tongue of violoa. More on that here in just one moment, but he really caught my eye throughout the course of the day. In the individual drills. He just looks bigger than the sixth one that he's listed at. In my opinion, I find his release game very interesting as well. He had one where he didn't even contact the dummy the coach was holding

up across from him. In those individual drills working on the release off the line of scrimmage, he just worked around it with some shifty moves. Shows you some of the short area bursts that really made him so productive in college. On the other side, the cornerbacks were working on playing the inside shoulder and trying to run that inside shoulder to the sideline to really help pin the

receiver up against the perimeter. I've seen Noah Ignogamy drill this and then rerap it and practice during those team periods and really make it effective when you're going live against the receivers on the other side of the ball. Seeing that several times there from Noah watched the cornerbacks do it all day in the pre practice portion. Then I gotta look at Malcolm Perry just watching him do everything.

It's all just so fast. He's so springy in the way he can get to a spot and then explode off that plant foot and just move around as a receiver, as a running back, whatever you want him to do. He just looks explosive in all aspects of the game. And Preston Williams is similar, which is crazy because he's six ft five. He's not as shifty obviously, but man, he is so smooth and has such quick feet for

a guy that size. We'll hear from Preston here in just one minute, and we'll also hear from Ryan Fitzpatrick on both of his receivers, and Williams and Parker and back on the topic of the wind here, each of the quarterbacks, I thought through the ball exceptionally well through that wind and can really push the ball through the wind, but fits into a we're just layering the ball all over the place, showing some really good zip as well. Good work out there by all three of those guys.

On Monday, Flowers and Wilkins had a bit of a chip chat after a rep, if you want to call it that. Wilkins tried to bull rush Eric Flowers and he just walled it off and completely dropped the anchor there. They stayed engaged for a little bit, gut each other's faces, and then it ended with a quick shove and they were back to being buddies again, but a little bit hippy there in camp as it can be. And then during the one on one portion of practice, I had

a couple of wins here in that portion. Shack Lawson had a nice win on Austin Jackson, Danny Isadora had a nice win on Zach Seeler, Andrew Van Ginkle put Julian Davenport on his back on one pass rush move. Bobby McCain came down and the coverage drills and covered up Isaiah Ford and man, he really stays in that hip pocket. Really good coverage there. I just haven't seen any mistakes from Bobby or a bad plays from Bobby all camp long. He had a very strong camp so far.

We'll touch more on him and just one second. Dietrich Nichols had a really good rep on Preston Williams. He did very well to not get stacked. Then Preston tried to come back down on a comeback route and he played through the player very well, but it's not make contact and got his hands on the football. Very impressive rep there from Dietrich Nichols. Lawson again getting after in the one on one, did a little dance move after

a second pass rush win. Then I got my eyes on Nathan Holly for the first rep of the day, and I saw him put a tight end on the ground in that five yard window where you can press the receiver and the ball sailed in complete. Very aggressive but in control. With that first rep I saw, I saw Jennings contested goal line route. He pulled down a fade over Tay Hayes. After that, he had a really good day on this Monday practice. And then Bobby wants again another good job in coverage running a route for

the receiver. I couldn't see who it was, but Bobby ran inside and snagged himself an interception in that one on one period. All right, let's go ahead and get to the teeth of it all here the team period of practice, and I'm just gonna start here again with Devanta Parker. He continues to make big plays, and he's

doing it in a variety of ways. We know about the vertical, down filled ability of Davanta Parker, where he can high point the ball and outrebound everybody on the field, but we also heard him talk about working on other routes like the comeback we talked on I think it was Saturday's show about him catching a comeback to kick off practice. Well, today he caught one in the middle of the field, working through traffic on an inbreaking route, really rounding out his game and just looking like a

complete receiver at this point. And you'll hear Fitzpatrick talk about this a little bit later on. He had another touchdown catch where Byron Jones actually breaks up the past but Davante, as he is wont to do, he stays with it as he's falling to the ground and snatches the ball for a touchdown. He caught another pass later on in team period that was a bit low, but he went down and dug it out of the turf for another chunk game. Just a big time playmaker so

far here through six days of padded practices. Very impressive for Davanta Parker. Now. I mentioned Byron Jones and there he's been on Parker and Williams now for six practices and it's just been a heavy weight, all out match up every single time. He had a rep where I really appreciated where it was third down an eight or so, and he played it patient to let Preston Williams catch the ball underneath, but closed down quickly for it would

be tackle short of the sticks. Then again later in red zone when Williams got on top of him, Fits tried to throw the ball flat where you don't arc the ball so much, you just throw a straight line, and Jones was able to poke his hand in there at the last minute and force an incompletion on that pass. The other Jones Brandon Jones, Man, this guy moved so well.

You're gonna hear Andrew Van Geekl later on talk about the manipulation of the offense for the how the defense wants to change the way the offense perceives things, and then hit him with another look on the defensive side. That's why I see a lot of Brandon Jones is a game because he closes ground in such a hurry. He's active both pre and post nap every single play out there. Another guy who was getting after every snap, it seemed on Monday, was Davon Gotcha with a big practice.

He started off the team period with a big tackle for loss where he broke through, wrapped up the back and kind of chucked him, but like in the safe and smart way, a good teammate way, and he was in the backfield a lot on Monday. My favorite thing about Devon is watching the surge he gets with the initial contract contact, always resetting the line of scrimmage across

from him. The defense in general was getting good kind of trade early in this practice, I thought Shack Lawson had a good day both as a pass rusher and against the run. He had a sack and then he came off the edge with a really impressive rundown rep in the red zone period, and that's where his game really shines on tape. Consistently playing that strong edge in the running game, and he showed the power to knock his man back and then worked off the block for

a tackle for loss. I had stopped in the first period for God shop for Jack Lawson, Rae Kwon Davis, Jason Strowbridge, Zach Seiler, and Christian Wilkins all getting in there and getting active against the running game. And speaking of Zack Seeler, he continues to have a very strong training camp. He shocks with that power and that length, but I've also seen him doing a lot of stuff or the first step is working sideways, showing you some lateral agility. Big news for a guy that big. It's

very impressive the way he moves at that size. The first period ends with a long touchdown past seventy yards coming off the arm of rookie quarterback to a tonga Byloa. And he had himself quite a day on Monday. He started off early, and I talked with John con Jemmy on our platform a solid fifteen feet apart up there on press Row about how the ball comes out quick. A lot of the same things you see on the Bama tape, you see it out here at Dolphins practice. His first rip was on a slant pass to mac

Hollins to set the touchdown play up. Then, of course a long touchdown to Malcolm Perry. Coverage was tight underneath, but Perry did well to stack it and the ball could not have been handed there any better than it was. Really a perfect deep pass for a guy who broke records in college throwing the football vertically down the football field. He had a really nice throw on the move to mac Hollins later on again, on a first and tent

from the fifteen yard line, working on red zone. Hollins was moving towards the perimeter and to a stepped up and moved and put the ball right on the money

for a nice toe drag. He then ended practice with another impressive touchdown throw, this one to Ricardo Lewis where he stepped up and out of pressure off the edge from Tishan render more on him and just one second and as to a kind of approached the line of scrimmage, he throws a deep in breaking route to Ricardo Lewis, who turned and the ball was just right on the bread basket, never broke stride went in for six for

another touchdown. Past there another touchdown, this one coming on the ground from a guy who has a big run every single it seemed so far, in Jordan Howard from fifteen yards out. Both Eric Flowers and Austin Jackson took out the edge in the running game and Howard escaped off that side and ran for a touchdown. He also caught a big block on the outside from Preston Williams, something coach loves talking about his receivers those big guys

blocking on the perimeter. I also noted how well Jerome Baker has been at fitting gaps so far in camp. We talked about the defensive lineman getting there for the running game, but he came down for a big run stop in red zone and hasn't a good job without the course of six practices. I think you're gonna see a very fast player play even faster now in year two of the system. Back to Tyshan Render, he had himself a day a lot of two US throws that he was stepping up from pressure. A lot of that

was coming from number sixty four. I also noted one play that was perhaps my favorite of camp so far. I'm kind of weird. I'll take an effort play over a seventy yard touchdown just about any single day of the week. On an outside run, Render throws his initial punch at the offensive line, saw the play get outside and chased it down to the sideline and finish it

off with a nice push out of bounds. He wonted a award at Middle Tennessee for hustling, a hustle type of award they award every single year there, and earned all kinds of praise from his coaches down there at Middle Tennessee. You saw it right there on that play. A couple of cornerbacks I thought had a very good day are having a really strong camp, and Nick need Hum and Ta Hayes. Needham had a couple of pass breakups,

one on Preston Williams. Good on good there and just continues to limit completions when they throw at him, which is not very often either, by the way. And Ta Hayes had a really nice pass rep where he squats on the route to tries to throw it at the sticks and he forces a throwaway just squatting on the route and being involved in where the receiver was and

reading the quarterback's eyes to that particular spot. There was a break in the action where the quarterbacks were throwing to a net just after Josh Rosen completes a nice pass to move the chains on third and five to finish up the team period, the first team period rather of practice, and the quarterbacks threw the football into this net, the same one you saw the Chargers throwing to the

stationary net at practice on Hard Knocks. I think it was the first episode, but the quarterbacks were doing this throwing to the net, and it was located on the end line of the back of the zone. The quarterbacks were out on the fifteen yard line, so a twenty five yard throw on one hash mark, they would line the net up on the other side of the field.

By the numbers, and a lot of these throws hit the rim the outside of that net, but I counted those because it was very windy and twenty five yards to the other side of the field, it's not an easy throw to get that accurate. So I had both Fits and to at six of ten throws and Josh Rosen with five of ten on that particular drill. Pretty

good work there from the quarterbacks once again. Then to close it out in the two minute portion, Fits has himself a hell of a drive after the first play goes incomplete and the incompletion was caused by e Landed Roberts. I've talked about him a lot in the running game, but I saw some really good stuff from him in the passing game, including a lockdown rep on the tight end where he just carried the route all the way

through and broke up the past. Devon Godcha also had good pressure on that play, by the way, helping to cause the incompletion, but Fits picked him up and took him down the field, including a really nice throw down the middle of the field to Durham Smith who caught up between a pair of defenders and ripped off a nice run for about forty or so yards. The defense then forces three straight incomplete and capped it off with

a Bobby McCain interception on a fourth down play. The balls tipped up in tight coverage and McCain comes out of nowhere and made a diving catch on the field.

He's been everywhere in camp playing super fast and again something you're gonna hear from Andrew Van Ginkle talking about here on the podcast and just one second about how they can play with so much more speed and your number two for a rookie like Van Ginkle, I think you might see the same thing for guys like Bobby McCain who have the second year experience in this defense. So there you go. Really nice day from the quarterbacks. Tough to get a great evaluation on the offensive line

from that vantage point. Some excellent battles between Jones versus Parker and Williams. Big days for god shall lost on off the edge. And with that, let's now go ahead and turn things over to the media availability starting with quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, and I wanted to ask him about what he's seen so far in the growth and your number two of receiver, Preston Williams. If it's how you doing,

man um. I wanted to ask you about the growth you've seen so far from Preston Williams and year two here coming into the early stages of the second season. He produced a lot last year before his injury, obviously, but what do you see here in the first week or two of practice that tells you that he can get right back to that level and beyond. Well, Preston has a great guy to watch first of all, in DeVante Parker and the way that he works and goes

about his business. Uh, Preston is very unique just in terms of his physical qualities. Um, you know, the height to weight, the speed, the how nimble is all that stuff, his ability to track the ball and he you know, and having to sit out, he always kind of looked for the silver lining or maybe the positives in a situation that isn't so positive. So him getting hurt last year, he was also just able to take a step back and watch a little bit and learn the game a

little bit more. And I know he worked his butt off all offseason and that was really apparent as we came back, uh, just in seeing him and all the work that he put in. And he's done a great job. I think his confidence is high right now, and that's important for those guys, and and rightfully so, because he's playing really well. But we're excited to have him, uh you know, have him out there healthy and going, and

he's doing a good job. You hear him mention. Both Parker and Williams there fitz are talked about having the two guys on the outside with that size and the advantages it brings, you know, having having two big guys on the outside with those qualities. They can go up

and get the ball, They're good route runners, are smart players. Um, you know, I think that makes it difficult for a defense, not just being able to key in on one guy, and um, you know the way that we're working right now, the way that because those guys are showing up every day, it's given our offense. I think our team a lot

of confidence going forward. Fits then talk about the unique nature of this offseason, how the offense can kind of start to build some of the confidence throughout the course of the season, but also how they might have to find their identity in the season and the absence of a preseason. We're gonna have to try to figure out early on in the season, what our identity is going to be and the strengths and weaknesses of the football

team and what we can lean on. But we know that, uh, you know, we've got two good guys on the outside. We've got a a competition going on, guys on the inside right now fighting for playing time. You know, our backs are doing a great job as well. So as the season goes on, we're going to figure out who we are and play to our strengths. And I think that's something that will be constantly evolving early on, just as we figure out where we're at as a team.

And now we get an evaluation on rookie quarterback to a tongue of byaloa from perhaps the best person to give us an evaluation on that and quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick. Here he is talking about the rookies progress so far and how you view quarterback play at the stage of camp. Yeah,

he's doing a great job. And it's you know, I know, what's your guys job to look at and evaluate every single day and every throw, but uh, you know, it's it's something for us as quarterbacks and for me, I just like to see progress and sometimes it's not necessarily a completion, but it's the thought process and making sure the ball is going to the right spot at the

right time. Um, you know, so there's not this Sometimes there's not gonna be some things are not gonna look pretty, but it's the right decision and that's for me to step in the right direction. Sometimes you're gonna see a long touchdown or something and it wasn't necessarily the right play, So you guys are gonna laud it, but maybe it wasn't you know what we're trying to get done. So there's a lot of different parts of the evaluation process.

And for me, I just like to see, you know, first of all, confidence and and make a mistake, get out there, uh you know, put it behind you and go play the next play. And I like that a lot about them. And then secondly, just the progression of uh, is he going to the right place? Is he going on time? And we're making a lot of progress in that area too, And um, I think that's the offense in general, and everybody getting a better grasp of it as they're moving forward. Receivers are doing a good job

beating in the right spot. A quarterbacks are doing a decent job and finding them as well. And now we get one of those targets Fitzpatrick talked about in a few of those questions with wide receiver Preston Williams, and the first question posed to about his rehab this offseason coming back from the a c L, and you're gonna hear press and talk about how hard he worked to get back onto the field my first row YO with the a c O the knee injury. So no, I just not needed to work as hard as I can

to get beat in time for camp. Uh just came here every day, stay here the whole summer season, work my heaths off. Now get him my roots at practice. So to have you to be out there with the guys. And to conclude that rookie season, he was ultra productive in those first eight games. Here is Preston talking about his rookie year and how he can improve upon that going in to a second season as a professional. My

last year was getting my feet with uh. You know, just approve you know as a player from last year, you know a lot of them buzz like pul the cup. I got to catch and make those plays. Just overall, be a better player. Gang slow down a little bit to me. So they gotta have a better year this year. Up next, here's Preston talking about his relationship with DeVante Parker and how they feed off one another on Sundays. Now, we just we just beat off each other. U Demante

make a play. I want to make a play. Uh, I make a play once. They want to make a play. So you know, we do every we need to do. The healthy team. Hey Preston, good to see you, man. I wanted to ask you how you're adapting to the new system and the new terminology here under chan Gailey and how this offense benefits your skill set. Um, I'm pretty pretty well, uh blinding more positions. Um, it's more simpler,

I can said that. Uh. But like I think it's our friends pretty well, you know, just looking at the past Threek, what we had with Brandon Marshall and this same body frame and stuff. So I think this offense is, you know, really unique. And I like you. And we'll go ahead and close up here with the common theme among Jachem, Grant, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Chan Gailey. We've talked to all of them about the receiver's freedom in this offense

to get open. Here's Preston Williams on the freedom he has in this offense to help himself get open and show the quarterback is numbers to make a big target and make plays in the passing game. Coach Chaine, I always say get open. That's a number one job. So you know, a lot of freedom, and you know you've got time. You said you got a lot of time to work, to work to DV and get open so open as I you know, as always trying to do.

And we'll finish it up here with Andrew Van Ginkl, who first starts about a question talking about his play strength, how he's worked to improve that and how he can apply that to the field on Sundays. You know, I just spent most of this offseason with some strength coaches and really just worked on tone of minecraft and just getting stronger in all areas. Um, you know, that's something

that I knew I needed to work on and focus on. So, um, you know, I went into the offseason dedicated and determined to get stronger. So I think it's just in all areas. Hey, Andrew, Joe kind of told my question there, but I kind of wanted to ask to go a little further on that, Um, what does that adage strength for a player at your

position do for your game? Like that? Where what avenues can it really help you on the field just to get stronger and well, obviously I'm taking on big old alignment and then um tight ends, you know, so they got a lot of weight on me. So I need, you know, to be able to put up with that and um hold them. And you know, especially at the point of attack, I need to be able to set the edge and um, you know, take on tackles and

tight ends or over the case. Maybe And as promised earlier, here is Andrew Van Giggle talking about the big jump from year one to year two and just being more comfortable in the NFL, not being a rookie and having the second year and the first year under your belt rather heading into your number two. Yeah, for sure, I think, Um, just where I'm at with the playbook, you know, I don't have to think about that or go out and

study before practice. You know, I can more still work on my technique and not really have to focus on what I need to do where I need to be. You know. It's more how can I get better? How can I you know, be tackles are just work on my technique. I think that's been the biggest game in

my second year right now. And speaking of veteran experience, here is Andrew van Gekle's response to a question posed to him about all the additions the Dolph has made in free agency, guys like Shack Lawson and Manu Agball, Kyle van Noy, and how they've helped him grow and learn his game so far. Entering your number two, I think it's big, just especially how they pass, rush and

get after the quarterback. The different moves I've learned, um, you know, like you said, yeah, we brought in a lot of experience with you know, Kyle Vanoy and um like Shack and a bunch of those edge guys. So being able to get after the quarterback, the different moves and how they like to um, you know, play check or it's chest not checkers, right, So just being able to manipulate a linemen and get them to think one

thing and then do another. As the official wellness provider and sports medicine provider of the Miami Dolphins, Baptist Health is ready and committed to continue caring for you safely.
