Winter strikes again... and HARD. We decided to play the weather safe again and Skype failed on us. We completely lost our 75 minute episode and were forced to record our sections separately. A storm hits Chicago and forces Kelly and Gordon to stay inside and drink the night away on their own. Thank God for Skype. The drinks flow and so do the goals... 27 to be exact and we discuss them all. Not to mention three red cards, almost four! The Football Gods were watching over us otherwise we'd be spending this weekend nursing a hangover.
A nerve has been struck and Gordon almost doesn't make it through the episode. Kelly is back from Mexico and a year older. Although our old age hindered our start, the weekend's action got us going. Points were dropped all over the top half of the table and ties were predominant. Liverpool increased their lead of the league by vanquishing their bitter rivals United, and a ref finally used the video monitor, although it caused us to take an unchased Tequila shot!
In one fell swoop the Mighty Kingdom of Great Britain lost two of their most precious Harry's. One to an injury that will side-line him for a significant time frame, the other two a woman who will see him torn from the country, in the words of Squints from Sandlot, FOR-EV-ER. The world pushed aside it's US vs Iran differences and mourned for the tiny island, and Kelly and Gordon jump right on the bandwagon to have our says. City and Liverpool fans left in a sweaty heap of exuberance, Sheffield and Newcastle fans in euphoria, United fans distraught, and Wolves fans pumping their chests. We go through the goods like no one else, drunk and emotional. Forgive the quality, we had to go remote this week. Hopefully the games make up for it.
