Nobody called out said Medita be crazy for Hood Radio again, took it back and took it back. So, look, let's just explain for our fans the interim how you pronounced it, interim,
interim and episodes. That's the reason why we're going through, which we didn't know we was going to be in an interim for so long, right right, it's not really our fun because we've been kind of throwing people off, right, So explain it to the fans. What's called. Now we're between deals, we could we can officially announce our new Revolt deal right now. Yes, yes, yes, it's a full show that's gonna be professionally. This is like the unofficial
for our fans. First, that's yeah. So we got a fifty episode deal with which is crazy because people do they don't sign TV like that. They it's like an eight episode, six episode, twelve episode thing. People don't sign you for fifty episodes. Yeah. So so now it's changed the dynamic a little bit, and we still with CBS, but we're gonna we're doing some different things, different things, so we're gonna lead as a TV show but still
be a podcast. Don't worry about that, people, Yes, you still get it and as you know, um, if you follow this season, we have about seventy something episodes, seventy we're about to be seventy nine seven nine episodes. So just think about like this. If you're a podcast so think about it like this. If you're a podcast fan, meaning your audio just audio, You're still gonna get extras. You're gonna still gonna get episodes that won't be on
Revolt that would just be special audio. Mean, so I'm glad that the fans know that because but so far after the season two, we already got Amber Rows. You want to you want to let that all. Let let
it out. We got Amber Rows, we got on wetmd A P M D. John Singleton, Uh, well, the beating us was all the see Michael Jackson, Michael we got we gotta yeah, we got about it Backael Jordan came by Michael Jackson Jackson the night second night, Yeah, yeah, yeah, but hey yeah Michael Jackson and Michael Jordan was drunk fast. But yeah, so we're starting off the season very right. Nah, step to us exact, you know, I was, yeah, I was humbled by Yes, it was so beautiful to see
your face red. You know when e f and face turned red. It's just beautiful. And because I like when you're a fan. I like when you're like a sensibly fan. Because some of these people that we have you you're not fans. That's not true. Well maybe not not, you're not. Just there's just some people. I look up two more exactly. All right, that's been a way of describe. So Na said it, he'll come. I gotta got a call from her. Gotti tried that. All Eyes on Me, right, no tails
on BT. All Eyes on Me is the Tupac movie, which you're getto. We had John Singleton as well, did we say John Singleton? And so we're gonna try and we drop that Tupac week we that a movie drops out, so our fans, we want to let you know. Um we did in turn Hollywood, we just joined the Luminati and that's it, just the other door. Just to be clear in case they don't understand. We've been kind of in a hiatus. But still we want to drop contents and we want to drop we still we're still out
there for you, you know. Um, so so we're doing our thing. Uh. I want to get to one story real quick. Uh this biggie small as mural, which which you're not going to tear down down which so initially the guy said he was gonna tear it down and he wanted twelve fifty a month, uh to keep the
keep it up correct. And this is the time when I was I was kind of saying, this is where the hip hop Union should be in play, because I don't feel like everybody's like, yo, you know, j should take care of that and Big should take care of that. And I'm like why though, like you know what I'm saying, Big he gave just as much to hip hop as he gave to you know, he gave his life to So I mean, I thought this should be a union to step up and um sort of make that a
historic monument. Make it hard, but glucky to the landlord wasn't as greedy son of a bitch as he thought he was. He listened to the people, and he did the smart listen to the people and was going to Burner's house. It was still the benefit of the came to better. He listened to the culture. So also, we want to let these people know that right now we are joined by our friends. You know, we're gonna we're
gonna talk inside the industry ship today. We never had like a behind the scenes like the people that work behind the scenes. So I'm gonna let my man share. I'm gonna do something different today. I'm gonna let you introduce yourself. Shampoo, Yes, tell them what you do? Yeah, yeah, man, it's your man, shampoo y vs Man. It's the man behind the people that you know that you love. Your
last two hundred artists. I've been behind them from the guerrilla marketing from day one when nobody knows the motherfucker's I'm the one that bring him the clubs and to do some of the DJs, and then the label pushed the button then boom they go and yes, and what labels have you worked for? A careful all of them? Def Jam, Capital, Epic eight one in the Scope three hundred, Um, you name the labels. I've been behind a bunch of independence. Um. You know Nori also, you know what I I mean. When
he was doing reggae throng, I was there. I was the one holding the pick of signs. You know, it's document that you can see me out there. That's not scareful. Have you ever worked with an artist that you didn't like because I remember like early on you might have not you know, I remember you telling me like Future was a dick, like he know, the future, Future was a good guy. The Future was one of the artists
that we started with. Just before he was Future, You're not Future was Dream Dream You want to come out the car? Damn you want to do yeah, you know, not do club dates? Yeah, you know that was after that after you know, that's what happens to all the artists once they you know, become stars. You know, they evolution of an artist said that. You know, I seen the artists where they was humbled, like one year the album comes out and then they it's like you can't
even talk to them. Dream Dream was one of them artists. You know when when when when he was popping you know me when BT when everybody was when we were doing BT uh one or six in part you mean it used to be back in the days where the artist, you know, the audience used to be outside and everybody used to be outside with the with the posters like Dream and the artists usually used to stop there and
say what up to the fans? Take a couple of pictures, Signs signed a couple of autographs, and then't go inside. You know when when when Dream was popping you, I mean he used to just walk straight through and everybody like dream Dream and he'd be like and walk right through. It's not happening, not happenings not the Dream was one of those guys. Wow wow, So we also got raided
all in the building. Radio. We need you to tell these people because I know you from the Loud record days and real hip hop days, the wool Mob deep days. So tell these people who you are and when you work. Thank you for allowing me to be here, man, because it's one of my true true friends. I got get him shout out. So he's the one that if he sees me twenty that's the way he's screaming out my name. And I do the same with him. So pretty much, I am a multi platinum producer. I sold over twelve
million records in total. You know talking about I'm from the b X, that's right, all right, Okay, every time I walk around taking you know, I'm regular nid, which I love that. You know what I'm saying, But it's all good. And at the same time, I was raised around Fat Joe Camp. You know what I'm saying, ts, Joe showed me a lot of things that I know. Um as you know, I was the one that joined Caddy with Joe, you know, for the for the world.
Wait wait, you introduced college. Yeah, let's get let's get it right. Yeah, I did it, and I did it from the heart. I said, Yo, my man, Callada special. I lived in Orlando back in the days, I said, Cador, especially the day one with the mannate sandwiches. You know what I'm saying, the part that's what Kleege is really from. He's originally from. But you know so I yeah, yeah, he knew them from back then so bad that's true.
So basically I was the one that said, Yo, Joe, this is incredible kid named Kali, and I think you need to be with him and ship popped off, not be with him though, you know what I'm saying. You know what I'm saying, Like you know what I'm saying. You got clarified. Chemistry of Kelly was on mixed on six. Caldi was at one or two. John's back then you're talking. You're already talking about you talking on day day one.
So basically ILL made sure that happened, and I am going to take the credit for that on the dream trams, you know what I'm saying. And it's been a good run. He's doing really well. You got a new sun now, a lot of good things happening. And definitely his son richer than everybody here. But I wanted his life, y'all. I want to go back. It's just getting moments of this than me. He just looked like you got a baby day and I damn pick up all. Yeah. And other than that, you know, I was fortunate to be
around a lot of big people. A lot of people didn't know, but my grandmother used to baby said Tupac Tupackets from the b X. All right. I just found out from Pete Rock he lived to the building next to which is incredible. So we had Pete Rock Tupac on gun Hill. I mean, it was amazing. So that was kind of special. Um. And then also I gotta definitely give a shout out to my man d m X, who I happened to be a group in a group with him for four years. You know what I'm saying,
four years, man, Um, I'm praying for him now. You know. He's very special to me, and I hope he gets better, all right, that makes a noise. MX Sweetness. At one point recently, uh I was asking around like who's the person to go to for Miami? For Miami, um, you know,
get your record promoted, And everybody said, it's Sweetness. So I want you to describe, you know, which what position you played in the industry and and things like that to these people who don't know, Um, okay, Well, to be fair, you can kind of think about it like I'm kind of like a little Shampoo, you know, I came from. I came from that era. I'm younger than them, but all the ogs like Shampoo and the Shadows and you know, the crazyhood when they have Bad Boy in Miami.
I mean I came from all that guerrilla wise and um street marketing. As far as like I'm always in the clubs every night. I've probably been in the club every night for like ten years. It's probably not a night I missed because mind you talk, in the day, there was no Instagram. You don't know who was going to be in the club. You don't know who's gonna go through. I don't want to take pres he's just come outside to go back inside that he'll go outside
and just go to my nee. But when you like the digital camera and yet uploaded, like it's not as easy as it is now. So um, I've been able to transition from that to being able to go with work now with them, I wanna regional tips. So if you saw Florida in Miami, because that's my home. And no matter how hard I try to leave and go to like New York and try to work for like a label, I'm too good in my own market. So they rather just let me just give you a little
more and stay there. But other than that, like I work with Epic now three got the checks? Yeah you think you did that? Yeah, we gotta talk about you think. Let's let's keep it. I mean, I'm a female in the industry, and I play my position very well. I know what it is when I walk in the building, if I'm looking a certain way or I'm doing certain things. I don't put it past nobody. I would hope that it's not true because I look up to this man. I feel like I've been sexually arassed my whole career.
Just always say I'll take you down, like I'm like I could have sued you because the first time I feel like I'm abused the first time I'm when I read this ship, I said, Damn, that's it just saying you look good, that's sexual around. That's what it's. It's a marriage. You know. I've been through so much, and I think about all the opportunities that I could have sued somebody, and I think, I'm like, who wants to
work with the girl that foods? I'm a hip hop like, I'm not gonna you know, I'm gonna just take my lather and keep it moving and get the next check. What depends to don't say that it depends. I mean I think through what I've been through it all. I mean, you shouldn't have to take the you shouldn't have to No, no, no. Speaking about my sister, we're speaking about it. She used
to call it everything. She used to call me like four or five in the morning like him, you know whatstand these motherfucker's And I'd be like, sweet is you just can't punch them in the face, Like the industry. I just wanted him to play the record, like, what's this problem? I need two minutes? I gottn't understand. Now, let me ask you all the question and especially people who record promoters? Right, um, now, when you're working the record and you're going hard, how hard is that to like?
Is it easier when the artists established, or it's easier when the artist is brand new? When when the artist is established is easier? Like you remember, like you know, No Read didn't know. There was a time me and Nordy was in the strip club, you know, you know, pause and I was working his record, you know, maybe like what the and then he seen me in the booth like stressing and beefing with the DJ because DJ
is bugging out. Norrie been in the building an hour and a half, two hours and he's still haven't dropped the Nory record. And then I'm like, yo, famire, you bugging, Like what are you doing? They're like, you know, I got you chill, chill. And then next thing, you know, it's the Nory set and I'm like yo. And then at that time, nor we got his jacket. He ready to go, so I'm like yo, and No was like Yo, what happened. I'm like, no, we're good, don't worry about it.
And he hit his record. But it's cool. I'm out now, you know, I mean, thank you shampoo. We gotta go, you know. I mean so a lot of a lot of the problems that the artists don't realize that where these djsy you think they started and I don't want to. I don't want to box yeah, and got egos and they don't want to. They don't want to be They don't want you to tell him you'll play this now, they're like, what we'll tell you, don't tell me really acts go over there. Let me let me stop both
a promoter. Yeah yeah, as a DJ talking to Crazy Hill promotions, I'm talking right, So as a DJ, is that annoying? Like when the label wrap comes. Imagine, first of all, I come from the era with the DJ. You're right, we whatever we played, you're you're the people in the club, they followed you. You don't have to hope, you don't have to play what they wanted, what you played. They were like, whatever you say, you're the man, so
for someone to come up to you. And after I stopped really actively spending like that, that's when the promotion game got a little bit more heavy in the booth where they ask you play this record, play this record, and now do you feel obligated because I suppose no but what I'm trying to tell you is imagine if you got to set, if your really cares about your craft, and you got a set ready for the night, and someone said play this record right now, you know, But
to be fair, it's not. Sometimes we give you a call, and that's where relationships come into play. You call the person before you can you get this in your set, you know? And then and then sometimes people you know, Payola's real, like I've been in the pub when that was I mean to cut your wisdom. God bless Big Cap.
That's how you know. Me and Big Cat became crazy close because when he used to be in the strip clubs and and DJ and I used to go to Big Cam like Cap, I got someone so in the building his fifty I need the movie Daddy, And then he'd be like big shout shampool woman. Then and Big Cat was one of the realist DJs, and he'll bring it back and be like, bring the artist here and give the artist the mic, the artist the mic, and
he's gonna win. In Now, my job is fantastic. I'm looking great and everybody and it's not like regular payol like radio, because that's one one quitter hitter right down the club. But you're doing a subsidy for the DJ. You're helping the DJ. He's gonna help you out win
for everybody. And then the other the bad and then the other thing is it's a horrible and the other you gotta have something some kind of But a lot of things that a lot of the one one thing is that a lot of time DJ's miss records because they got so many records, they don't hear everything. So our job is to tell you your fami, this is hot, you need to funk with it, and then you you tell them you know you got it. They'd be like, nah, I be like, you don't got this. This ship is crazy.
Everyone's playing. They were like, I never heard it. Then they played, then they said the reaction they'd be like, I feel like I feel like that. That was what happened when Younger Maid's record. I felt like you only age record was out, but people was kind of sleeping on it because it was like it was like a version of Bobby Schmurder. So people were like they kind of slept on it for so long. Did you work that record? No? None at all, But did you see no?
But you know, no no, no, the record. What's happening now is before DJs used to follow other DJs, like everybody following flex right, that was gone. What's happening now is the DJs an't even following DJs. They following the internet. Yea if they see the soundclouds popping and and they're following the listeners, which is kind of reverse makes sense, but it doesn't. At the same time, the DJ don't leave the crowd. No they're not. They're not tastemakers no more.
And they're not taking chances. They're scared. Like they're scared. Back in the days, they used to be the ship when the DJ be like, yo, this artist, nobody knows this is hot. Let me chicken, chicken if you this is so and so this ship is and then everybody would be like, this is what it sounds like, Latin colder, this is so right there. But that's why doesn't trust
the DJ no more. They lost to trust of the But it goes to the point where the fan the DJ has to start has to trust the record promoter. See I told my DJs all time, if you're not gonna make a movie, for example, T Grizzly, I'm sitting here telling them this work is going to be the next he talking about He and Jail and on My Downfall. Yeahhen I first got this record. By the way, I had a record call First Day Home Album two thousand and one. I just wanted to throw that out there continuous.
I say that, I say that like the record though I like him, right, I say that to say this that I was telling my DJ, is this type of record. If you're not going if you're going to be a press play DJ, which means that you're gonna press play, you're gonna turn around and go get a drink, or you're gonna turn around and talk to the bitch next to you. So you're talking to that kind of DJ. I'm talking to every kind of DJ because there has to be a balance between the promoter and the DJ.
There isn't. X Listen, when I go to a DJ, I know what I expect from you, and I know what you expect from me, right, which is what? Which is I get it? Black and white? Come on? You know, like as far as like um that yeah, as far as I listen, as far as like listen you know once this, once this artist blows up, or I'm gonna be at all your parties. We're gonna support you, get your double plate, you're gonna get your drunk when it's
your birthday. He's coming through for free. If it's the number one record, We're end that bit to play Devil's Advocate right as A as a A really like an authentic DJ with ethics. He shouldn't go by that like when he blows up and be like funk if he blows up, that's what fun up the game. Ship. What if this ship that I think I know it's blows up the game. No, but that's what I'm trying to say.
That's a part of the fun up game woman, because everybody's like, what if this horrible ship that would have never been popped off back then? It pops off now because it's the ship that pops off now we're talking about like trying to jaff James is a good example, and he was popping out. I had a lot of battles like that. What I'm trying to say is the balance, man, I think he's still it's fact, that's right. No, it's because you know I was put more on trinded that James,
and I told her. I was like you know this record my um I forgot the name my bad Bits is my main bits because my main hole and really no, and I was like, Yo, this record is gonna go because I believed in them, because I'm look, I used to see the whole niggas and I used to see the hood niggas and they used to be like And I used to tell Sweeten As like, I'm telling you, I need you to get behind this record. Help me in Miami. She was like, no, this ship sucks. It's
not gonna go. She's like, I bet you this nigga is never gonna go nowhere. He did good though he did. You know, he wasn't platting um the first goal, you know. But but to finish my point real quick, what I'm trying to say is the balance is the promoter you. You're getting paid to promote this record. So it needs
to be where the DJ trust you. You're not just putting the record that you're being paid for the what I'm saying, and you need to trust d you when he says, yo, this is not not a good record for me. Absolutely have to be respectful of very respectful of my DJs where they play, what venues who they fun with, because there's certain promoters that they literally instead of promoters nowadays are so quick to blame the DJ
if their party don't don't do good. But let's be real, when you really promoted parties when we have so be live, We was in the streets every night. We was in the streets like there trying to get ten twenty bitches to come through. There was no Instagram. These promoters want to sit back post a flyer and then when only fifty people show up, all the music was bad. Why the man showed up? Did his job? You're standing for
four hours. It's definitely not the DJs. Like right now they say that Camillo and Alex in Sation is the cheat cold as what you know, like you hire them and you that's not that's not true, that's not true. Why because you've been that I've been at duds for both of them. Yeah, absolutely, no, ably that I've been there, even though they're great. DJ's hands down and everybody knows, like if you if York with the rain and you know, well there's a party girls but no the Tropical No. Now,
if you put them together, it's a movie. But if you split them and this is the promoter that nobody really knows and he's just hires Camilo or Alex's station. It depends on the situation. You may catch your break no data, don't get it wrong. The best period like hands down, like you put them in the box. They're gonna I don't mean that. People that people people, you know what I'm saying. Like Comelo, I can vouch him because at his tape back in the day, she got
his eyebrows. Why do you know that? And he's wearing that bage. You're gonna emerge them to like that big something beg. Yeah, I don't he's doing. But the other DJ that's creeping up is DJ Lobo Lobo but yeah, Lobo being out a long, I've been trying to book him and he's like relaxed, relaxed, and I'm like, I got Domatic represented the Miami DJ DI You're talking New
York DJ stuff right now. Come on, I mean, I can't respect I respect any lanes and on DJ said what they do like when they come down to Miami. A sensation gets booked a brick packed out the corner and I'm at brick house tomorrow with DJ Call. So we got hold who's yeah, but it's okay, we rock him. So um all right with that being said, like uh like I said, DJ, so so so what is it? What is it to move a record? What's the first step to move? The first step is to you gotta
get to the open DJ's. Like it's not always about prime the prime time DJ, because the open the DJ sets up the record for the prime time DJ, and a lot of times the prime time DJ isn't even aware of about this new record that's creeping up because the prime times you say, hit Bobby trans No, no, Bobby trans the pime I'm thinking the old Bobby trans No. Yeah,
he's he's one of those guys now. But you know, you you get to your your DJ's that opens up DJ want you, Okay, whoever that is making up a DJ, DJ want you when DJ want me, because every DJ want she becomes the main DJ. So you also how to sneak in New York on the underground Indian nigga um speaking space singing. But the thing about Spinking, he only wants a DJ one hour, Like he's like yo, you know he's like yo, you know I've been trying. I've tried to book him. I've tried to book him.
He's like, Yo, he wants one out Lobo too. He's like, no, one hour and he's gone, and I'm playing because right, and he's gonna give you all some of that one hour they're going to get another bag or that's none of because because spinking, you know, he's he's more. I don't want to put him in the box, but he DJ is more in strip clubs. So he's gonna come do your party and then hit the strip club at
two thirty. So he's gonna be at your spot from twelve twelve to maybe one thirty and two o'clock he's on his way out because to thirty it's prim time for the strip club. So when they get to the strip club, to thirty is slights, camera action, wake. He thought he's he's turning all the way up and everybody's like, yo, this snick is everything, and you seeing you can't do that in Miami. You can't double book in Miami. You can't do one club at twelve o'clock. Talked about I'm
going two o'clock. I'm gonna be They might let you get away with because because the promotion game is so heavy everybody online, everybody seeing who's where, Like I make sure my post not avocation for every DJ is on because I want to see who's doing one. But nobody's ever double book. They don't play that ship here. These clubs be competing with each other like and the crazy thing is like they're friends during the day, the friend they're on the yard, they're chilling them with a good
time for boy. When not ten o'clock and the doors open, it's you know what I mean, it's all for themselves. Like also, you so this artist, you're gonna take this artist to that said, well, I don't want to see listeners. That's always throw especially especially when as a promoter and the Reckon label a rep on exact that you have a hot artist, but you've got two different stations playing. They have two parties at the same day and they
both want them, so you gotta make a decision. That's why you have the battle with the stations where they put you in the head like like a word, you went over there first, you know what, watch what happens? He is spending explain explain that to the listeners though, like, well, what happens it's both Let's say let's just say because let me just explain. Let me explain. Let me just come from the artist that I'm seeing, the artist that didn't have to choose like a whole. I don't I
don't ever think Hope had. They never. I don't think I was not behind the scenes. Ear, I don't know the reps. The reps have the battle hole, it's gonna go. Hope is gonna just like now I'm going over here. And then the records like, no, I really need you to go with Flex first because Clue's gonna go crazy and not gonna play the record. And they're like, now we're gonna sun with Clue and inflects me like, word, you went to Clue first. Okay, I got you right now.
How hard? It's the worst. It's difficult, it's different. It's like a nightmare because then you gotta make up for like a hundred times and you'll be like, yo, the next three artists you got first? Are you dealing with that here with every day of the And it's not just and it's not just one of it's probably six
fected into the parent. No. Power is more corporate, so power is not that's I'm hip hop, I don't do but one no, it's one on three and ninety nine that it's yeah, that would be yeah, And they sometimes it's won't even like it's not even it's out of my control. The regionals are doing it, the my bosses
are doing this. And then I get mad because I'm like, all you gotta do is call me and I would tell you that maybe you should do this hour with this personality first and then go to the station of vice versa, depending on who started playing the record first. That to me is more important than who I have relationships with. Who started supporting the artist first? Fuck me in my relationship. How can we make this better? And
what do y'all think? There's a difference now between how much the Internet is playing a role and taste making these records versus the radio stations. Absolutely, absolutely, But but it feels like the way you guys are talking, these radists still have this power. Yeah, they still have the power because because everybody will absolutely on SoundCloud as much as you, I don't, I can't say you're right, You're always going to make a record for the radio. Look,
how great, jolly bad, that's just done. He's done great. But now you're seeing him making these records for radio, because but I think that's that's a mistake on those artists maybe, but I'm just saying it's working for him. So right now we can't everybody wants to be on the radios as an artist coming up. You know, you didn't dream of being on SoundCloud popping? You dream, don't. But I think that's about to change completely, like a
generational thing. But like just give an example, just to give an example, like, um, you saw it online was that power and he was doing an interview, but Renee, the rep for g Unit, had to take him somewhere else. Won one one lover and you're ready and then but he had to take fifty somewhere else. So he's rushing them like yo time because you don't see the guy behind the artists like yo, wrap it up. So then you hear Charlottemite and Charlemagne say yo, wordy, Renee, watch
what happens when you bring kid kids through? You know what I mean? Like this is what this is what happens to the rep because they know that he got to go to hot right, No, no power, he got to go to you said, so he was power. No, no, that's so you're saying that they know that fifth you gotta go to hot I know, I don't know where they was taking them, but I just know they was rushing them so they couldn't get the full interview they wanted. So they tell Renee like, yo, word, you're rushing. Now,
watch what happens when you bring kick Kid. We're just gonna be like kick Kid albums, uh November fourteen, Thank you goodbye, and that part of radio politics. You bring us your big stars, We're gonna work with you with your new upcoming stars. But sometimes these people like got to kind of deserve it, like when they got the number one spot and they got the hottest thing going, Like, I don't think you should rush the interview, you know what I mean? No, No, well that depends, like everybody's
on top, you know, they have to go. They have other other obligations and they got to get there. We've we've rarely encountered on the podcast, but we have maybe twice. We have. We have and we fight, we have, we have and we still get an extra fifteen minutes all but you really want the hours another forty five A reverse that was a great and they ain't hung out at the end. They was trying to pull it and they we would have went in because it was a promo running. We were trying not to get artists on
prom runs because that's what you're gonna get. Yeah, come on back. The end of the day, we went to New York. Well, my flight was fucked up. I forget the reason why. So we just no definitely want to know. We went. We've been backwards to do that QUB episode. That means we drove. We drove through the snowstorm, like like, yeah, I left my wife and my kids. Fact, I think they were good. But it's you though. I was like,
let's go. But but but as record promoters, we have a hard job because especially if the artist is not personable and like not helping you help clean niggers. Like when you hang out with the lead and they'd be like and they'd be like, yo, they just wanted if you might be personal, right, It's not why happens is like you know they're not personable where you want them to be, like you prep them be like look you know this is Norion, Yeah, like you gotta go Okay,
what was what'd be like? Yo? Yo, listen, Yo, this is DJ Want. She Yo, he got the hottest clubs in the city. I've always got there. You know, DJ Want, you got the hottest clubs in the city. Y'all needs you to be fucking you gotta funk with him, And they'd be like all right, and then they get there and then wine won't. She's interviewing him. He's like, yeah, I'm from Brooklyn. Yeah, and yeah the song is some
Seltza Yep. I've been in the game five years and you're like, Yo, you're fucking killing this interview right now, Like you're bombing right now. They like, come on, it's not a personality thing, but social media, like like artists are missing steps. Don't remember there was artist development. Yeah, they're to a hundred and they're missing this whole point of where the social where the social interactions is interview. That's why when they are terrible, because they don't learn
nothing in the process. And as a record promoter, we have to recognize who those people are going to be so our reputation stays clean because I only pick records and pick up artists that I know. I'm like ol T Genesis perfect. But in my wrong everybody fought with me about this man. He's gonna be a white hit. Wonder Coco's not gonna go nowhere. When I first heard this record, and it wasn't just about hearing the record. It's the way this man performed. It was the way
he spoke to me. It was the way when I walked him into the club the first time, how he interacted with the DJ. This guy knew what he was doing. I was like, all right, this I can work with. So I'm gonna go extra hard, do everything I can. Now, three or four years later, we got three platforms and you got her. We didn't depend We're not depending until this day, three years we're still not depending on social media.
He keeps his ship on the streets. He keeps his family fed on the streets, and everybody fun with him every city you go to. When you go to New York, he with shampoo, when he's with that rep, when he in Miami, and he's exclusive. So he knows how important it is to stay connected to the streets, radio on social media. School. But he knows that ten years from now, you want to keep getting the same building real relationship social media, that's my time, Like, don't rush, you got
a career. We're good. You're gonna be the superstar. You're gonna be the headliner in your own concert, in your own tour. I gotta ship too as a producer because radio people don't listen to the producers. For all of this happening, Ot was in Orlando with DJ Chino and there was nothing going on. He was just promoting his joint And as a producer, I just saw it. Man. I was like Joe, and you put this on the record.
Hill vous fair too. From Rihanna to Bruno mass all these people ross like nobody really looked at them now. And as a producer, once you know that that staff record, like I told old T, he got it, he's special. My man is is good? Right. You know what I'm saying. I think a lot of promoters they don't listen to the people that make the music, okay, because at the end of the day, that's what you're worth. Your last record is your last one. I ain't had a record
a long time, but go look at my files. I'm gonna I'm gonna kick some ass. And the reason was I didn't like the money situations, so I have to turn it down. By the way, when you turn that money. You're a real nigger. And I know Norway has been there. I know for he says, relax, I money, this is good. He tells me, relax exactly, I'm going to San Francisco exactly. The producers market like it's crazy because it's like all the way up to Joe's Wash, Joe Wash, it ain't
going nowhere, my man. And then the person was hanging out with the next day, no names. You know what I'm saying, The record is washed. That's the type of ship you got there. Now the record once you hear that ship. As a producer, regardless if I'm you know, the top producer, bottom producer, that's just in your soul. You know what's going what? What? What was it? Killer record? They did think that out at the moment, I don't know. Al Right, well, let's go back put it on. I
feel like the South really hell. But as a record promoter, right it was. As a record promoter, Nori has been successful with you know, his his his um, you know, his accolades and everything he's doing. And then he decided, let me, you know, let me try this record throne ship. And then he's like, no, I'm good. This is You'd be like, yo, this is Nori and they'd be like, now we're good. He'd be like na bro, They'd be like, yo, can he do what what he's like? He's not doing
that because he's doing he's doing this. You know what I mean? Because you know and it happens, and this is this is our bad who as record promoters, you know, like we always at the front line of this ship. We take all the hits and then we come back to you and be like you're ready to get your bottom everything, you get your bott everything good, all your people's in, and then you tell you tell the artists like, look, the promoters said only bring five people and then Mary
pulls up with fifteen. That's it's talking about. Time said it was gonna holds. Let's have a breakdown. Let's let them take the three guys. And I'm ready first of all because of Nori. You know, sport for you three for because of Nori. U told me three three three ons to get you told me to get tiger ball. Take a gong and body, yes, so I understand. I have all throats like yeah, they do this speaking this a rated all. Right, Now to the tyger Ball by the way. But he did like always apply shout out
in Hollandale and then everybody's looking at me. And then look and he took nineteen and then and then are so ill because I've never heard of this? Right, He was like, yo, you need to go to Canal Street and he showed me the store, the only plays that sold it. And this is eighty dollars, just like the same treat you put that cloth, pay cash cash money, the corporate car, the corporate cut. Yo. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, that's what you go for. I take you shot you
three now, look I can't it's really not. Don't you don't even dream like drink big. Some artists call that helms thro the upybody's fair enough, take it down. Never call go your drink and I do this. Let me tell you something, Let me tell you something. This is one of the drinks. This is one of the drinks. Vota, what are you doing? That's good? Is it? For real? These are for real people right here? They just one of the drinks right here. If you're trying to get
your pep up, this sweet is getting her. Yeah, you may you may have something else standing that ship tastes like steak sauce. Oh my comment, We never heard that. We never ever ever said that. She said steaks uce. Just say, you know, like maybe for women. I was gonna maybe for women to taste like sneaks. Nothing like
anything edible for me. But this is this is a thing about the type of like no, reintroduced it to the world, like you're not supposed to drink this the way we're drinking it, Like this is no everybody, because he knows this is death. Who induced you? The Golden child? The Golden child? Induce this to you? I got you want the tiger. Wasn't it you wanted to die? Wasn't it an interview? He introduced you to it? He said it you But I tell you this is good for you.
So you know, everybody should have a shot. That's you know what I mean. I have enjoyed the shot of take a ball. No, no, I don't think, says just do. I think he said we did it earlier because he was that type of the t he taking the juice spot in Harlem or something. I was there already, Yeah, he met. I believe it is. Yeah, the original one was on a hundred I believe twenty four Madison around the corner from the foods the original Foodsure Life, and then it was Frudsure Life and then the one with
the stairs. You go down that one because that that one. That one was because they got shut down. They got shut down for selling Take a Ball. The original was the real Tiger Bone was going, which was real. That was the one going. I made a home think about I made about it. But they's just fantastic. Take a ball, everybody try. Welcome to play a new podcast network featuring radio and TV personalities talking business, sports, tech, entertainment, and more.
Play it at play dot it. We're back to Drink Champs Radio with Rapper and R and d J. Then, So, now when you hear stories about the l A we thing, even though we touched on that earlier, you know, um, is that something that you think that happens frequently in the industry? Sexual harassical? Look at the game and the reality show. I don't get guy hit with what time mill? Yeah, but you know what it is, There's just life. It's
just it's just regular life. We always see a bad chick and be like, damn, she got a fat ass. That's sexual harassment to us. As hood as hood. Motherfucker's we just that's just normal to us to be like, damn, she got a fat ass, oh ship, she got sucking the print in the front. Look at that pussy. You know what I mean. Like, I'm just saying this is true. I'm telling I'm telling your office talk because motherfucker's be like, I'm telling you that, damn true. I'm telling you. I'll
be in the office. They'd be like, you see the new internet, bitch is bad, yo. You see the camera doing that bad. You'd be like, that's right. When does it actually make What are you saying? Like, damn, don't talk? I guess when you'd be like, damn, baby, don't sucking shorts is killing the game. I felt sul right, I think that's sexual harassment, right, I don't think that. I think it is. Come on, brother, come as a woman. That's my sister, daughter, mother, that's sexual harassment. Bro. Comfor
you can be like, mommy, you look so good. And because the rub back, the rubber the back, That's what I'm saying, Like, you don't know that that might be the one thing. Now, Listen, I got signed when I was seventeen, so the older women's sex. You my whole career. Goddamnit, I kid you, not the rubs. I got a lot of those, a lot like seven too, game like this old girls was like, God damnit, I've got a lot of those, take it down. I've got a lot of
those from big executive females. And I knew, and I knew a pause, Yeah it wasn't a boy, you know what I mean? And I knew, Claire. I knew you can't sunk up the check because because once you smash, you're smashing. One thing go wrong, you out the build. But let's be real, it's it's different from men than it is for women. It'sn't want to say whatever like yeah you want to sexualism, go for it, buddy. You know like as long as a chick, I don't feel like it's like that. I feel like you only weird.
It's like a year old lady. You'll be like, I'm going, I got my there. It depends how hot she is at the label I'm in. We don't get offended because foul brother, you know back there asn't but to be fair as a woman, like THEE I don't really see it like sexual though. If you're in the industry that we're in. We're always out, we're always drinking. We're always in those environments and situations where yeah, things can happen,
we can have tiger whatever and the next thing. He wouldn't take it right in short, like everybody, what happens? Is this what happens if Eddie the ass comes up to you says I want to eat your ass? But this night you asked this, But it depends here industry guy. Oh, he's just with Nori. No, no, he's not with Nori. Okay, he's in the heating industry. He's in the sexually to the club. If it's okay, you happen to stroll over there, it's okay, it's okay, because when it has it's okay,
it's okay, okay, okay, it's okay. That was just that if Eddie or anybody were to come at me or actually I'm working, I'm good, please leave me alone. He's like, well, what is he saying exactly? Though? I want to know. I'm just saying that farther sexual harassment, Like if a nigga's drinking and win the environments, I'm saying, like things happen but a woman, you should be able to be self conscious, be able to know so much. Hold on Eddie and club drink. Okay, said he tak a little piece.
He took a little piece little things. He thinks he's James super free. You she attracted to the guy, right? What the guy? She's to the guy a right because me and I'm just saying what does that mean? So he says, I want to look your ass and tonight you lit too. You might have took a little piece, a little piece. Well makes annoying a little bit, but
don't don't know. It's the Bill Cosby little piece. So if you wondering what we're talking about, it's the Bill Cosby little piece, a little piece of life, a little piece, a little thing, and you on it and then you want to right and it goes down all right. But then the next day says you want to cock? Yeah, like what else right for the next day that's it. That was a one hit of quitter. And then now he does that again. He says something is that gang and you you're not on the little piece. Now she
needs to stand up and say you're a man. That was the one. Now you're going to say what the bitch forgot, like what you like? You know what? And then sometimes yeah, here he's like, what we are relationship ship? I mean to be how? I mean, how many times have you been in the interestin You've had sexual tens all the time, right, somebody, I'm nervous to the somebody got a nervous stop shaking. That's right, it on on drink that got let me read it off the ice
cream pause. You're Eddie. So when the last time you ate a mask, you gotta thank falling off the regular thing for you're falling off a bank about two days ago. Today. It's so it's so recent. He needs toilet paper for his mouth right now, you know, you know in the you know in the dingle berries too, right, I think it's not a fruit? Wait, what's what's what dingle berry?
What is that? Single berries? When you wipe you outs with the paper and the little balls you see now and he goes like this one for me shout like thinking, now it's just cool. I don't know I want is that cool? It's you berry? That's what you tell a girl. I never know. I never knew that was dingle berry. I thought it was comberry stuck on you I got let's finish with the Dingleberry. I want to get us a little bit of serious things, just a little bit. Seriously,
you tell what Strawberry Dingleberry Shart. You start google when that Bad Boy documentary come out? And then when does that Tupac movie come out? Because June it's very yea, and it isn't the one the very next week? What the bad one on? No? Uh yeah, and there's a Tupac documentary coming out as well. Okay, but that's that's a stick with the movie the documentary, which I got a sneak peek up the movie or the document I've
never I've never seen the movie. Good friend of mis Buster rhymes so he seen the movie four times and Johnson, who's no poo, spoke highly of it. What did bust to say? What? Buster said he loved it so and Booth said he loved the two Busters said he loved the Tupac movie. But now it's like, isn't it crazy? Because it wasn't it like that, like like it was a death Row album like in the nineties, and now
the Bad Bad album that orchestra is so one Bad Boys. Well, I mean that's actually smart marketing bad boys, and then we do these tupap isn't back to back. We captain each other like now, but I only right marketing wise, that's genius that one was doing the first marketing wise and genius marketing that boy was first, because because you have to see the first one and then gotta goes
through the second one. Well, because it's it's it's like the stories to see like it's kind of like victorious story. Like again, that's the record label exact guy that has to think that, I think that's that's smart. That's smart. You have to go see the first one and be like, I gotta see the second one because it's here, let me see what what do you mean the second one? Because yeah, yeah, yeah, do you have to go see that after the first one and be like, oh, this
is crazy. Let me let me see what they're saying, and then you, oh, I like it. Do you think people care? Like, yeah, yeah, I think the young generation cares to because you still know they're trying to get No. I'm gonna tell you why. Because you've got people like Kendrick that still carry that flag. They say that that is the people that they grew up on or looked
up to or whatever. So they're still the youth is still gonna check for it, even if they don't care about it, They're gonna check for it, you know what I'm saying. And this is all going bad. Like if you look at the internet, what's happening online with Flex and spice Swan and Whack one and tre Yeah, like, but they squashed it. I heard that squash That's what I heard. The Internet told me that. I don't know, I looked a couple of days. It's getting crazy. It's
getting crazy. Spice Swan, Spicewan was just standing up for Tupac like Flex, don't talk out of your mouth like you mean, tresh No, Spicewan, Spice one, Yeah, Spice one got involved. Yeah yeah, he was telling he's trying to flex, Like, don't nobody take a plane to come to New York, you know, um, you know, um, we'll all due respect
me listening to everything. It's just everybody stay in their opinions, and at the end of the day, opinions is just the opinion, you know what I mean, Like, um, I mean that was a little bit more than an opinion. I mean, that was claiming that was the way the Flex said it. But you gotta look at it. Flex is coming from But but even even when he's staying what happened, he wasn't there, So it was just a pi.
Everything is opinion. So so the thing is, you know, every and and that's why you know, when Wrack, you know,
comes it's it's all his opinions. And it's just like, at the end of the day, I can't you know, um denounce their opinions because that's there's like you know what I'm saying, Like, at the end of the day, there's always somebody who looks at somebody different than we look at that person or whatever, and and and the thing about it, The thing about it is, I don't want to judge anybody ever, so the same way I don't want to judge them, I gotta I gotta let
you know, them have their opinions or their force sights of the way they look at anybody in any way. We understand that it's for the dad, um, you know, it's a view on the dad, and we don't condone that at all. But at the same token, we understand when people who lived in them certain errors in a certain situations, they have a certain opinion. So we're gonna let them do that and we're gonna continue, you know,
and move off on the subject. But you don't parties because all parties involved, because the one thing that Drink Champs is not about. We're not about violence, and we're not a drama none of that. You know, we're touching if we're touching on it because you know it's a hot topic, you know what I mean, things like that, but you know that's not what we're about. We go get back to this record promoter, and so what was your most famous record radio I think I had. I
had the battle record was here we Go Again? J Jada put it on Beanie at that time. Ye have to do that, but I did that, and basically it was it was that in ether. You know what I'm saying. There was a lot of situations when I was on MTV and what you said it makes me feel like you goes produced either. But I know that was drunk lingo the way you say yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, No,
that was why I'm roused. No, no, no, you gotta clear it up because I ain't with the fans to be like, well, you know what he did, he did you put a machine, you know what I'm saying. So basically that was a big, big record. It was a big, big time for me. It was like I couldn't believe it. By the way, I had to change the record. I had a little violence involved. I had violence if I had a little gunshots going on, and it was like, my man, I gotta kill this kidness with the words
take out the gun shots. It was not and big up to D's when I picked up that record. So I think that was my biggest zo y Yeah, D from D he picked that record. He said, Yo Jenners, Yeah that ship D Leo on the same day or this knife you know what I'm saying about to D and his sister Leo's. But like I said, you know, it was hard for me because it was like, Yo, do I want to get in this? You guys gotta relax. I'm I was like, Yo, do I get in this?
You know what good guy's got. Everybody, let's listen. We we didn't hear planks about your motherfucker's you want to look us in the back? Please? You gotta relax right now. Yeah, no, it's still bad. So so back to this this rivalry, I mean, just to be around that rival's bad. I mean, you know Jade and them, they they ain't they ain't. No, I don't know if I can curseing that curse on this j whatever. Definitely ship was real, you know what I'm saying. It wasn't though, you know what's going on.
And eventually it was hard as a producer to be in that, you know what I'm saying. All you want to do his music, but at the end of the day, you know, Joe, I'm wonna let me down. So it's all good, you know. So I had my I had my team behind me. But it was crazy. You know what I'm saying, Big up the fat Joe for everything he's done for me. You know what I'm saying, that big you know what I'm saying. And he said, go get that check. So it was hard for me as
a producer. But at the end of the day, I'm history. Oh here we go again. Oh oh, even I got I'll give you some insight on this one. I was in Japan with DMX Alright, my first time I was in Japan with DMX. At the time, the locks wasn't getting long. You gotta remember that DMX and don't have beef and it wasn't really getting along for whatever reason. So I went out to Japan with X. I was there. I was like going crazy. He's like, yo, train and
do this and we had a great time. And then he's like I have to get you know what I'm saying. And what I'm saying, he goes, he gotta relax. You mean, you gotta be clear, you gotta be It was smoking wolves that that's so Nig was like, Yo, they get off the plane this ship and he was like, yo, go to the studio and I'm like, go to the shop for what He's like boom And he was on a hub. So you know what I'm saying. So I was that was just crazy being in the group on
win for four years. You know what I'm saying, what what what what? Children village children village four years? You know he was in Collins. I was a mentor and we just had a moments. We ran away, We did all the funny ship but it was crazy group. We was eight war funk that. I'm proud of that ship, you know what I'm saying. And away babies, go to home, come back, hang out with your people to get back to Lets get back to the music. What was the
best year at hip hop? So I don't think that's not a fair well you ask each person personally, Yeah, yeah, pretty much personal Yeah, what was your favorite year hip hop? Was the oil? What was the best year in hip hop? Because you have a favorite year, you can have the best year. What do your dream came? I mean not dream? Sorry, but you know what, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. What year J Holliday came out bad? Because that was a good year.
Got to be heading. The reason why I'm saying right, the reason why I'm saying the reason why I'm saying bad. I used to argue with every DJ about the record Bad. Everybody was like, Yo, this ship is too slow. And I used to be like, you know what, I'm telling you, this is a new dude, This nigg is gonna pop. I'm telling you gotta funk with this record. They'll be like, no, this ship is R and B, this ship is man slow.
I don't get it. I'm like, I'm telling you this small fucking gonna go happ You don't understanding what year was that? What year was that? The reason why I'm saying is that that was a good year for me because hip hop hip hop. No, No, I'm just I'm just saying I'm still working of this album. Have an album like eight nine you know that was That was ninety five Select Records, Select Record School A Man One
to Ghetto Child, may want to Ghetto Child. That was mean telling me, now, I used to know I used to be the little nigg like, yeah, like, yo, get the funk out of here, I shout out. You don't remember I used to be. Again. The promoter be like, yo, this, I'm telling you we need the ghetto child from the Prons. He was like, naw, we had the Puerto Rican baby
like he's a player. But I'm just saying this this house, I'm telling you one to Ghetto Child, Select Record That is legit, right, yeah, absolutely ten years old and yeah, and I was working every nothing, you know, doing hip moppy. It was just it was just like May One, Curie, George Joe and the b Nuts. That was No. C was l a so weird. There wasn't you know there was was, But on the ground was this curious George
main One and Fat Joe. That's right. Group one may want to get a child like Cuban Before that before Set Records had Cube Cuba and before so elect Records, we was on wild pitch, elements of sorry, elements of the style. If you look at it, you see me in the back of the couple with DJ Chubby Chubb. He was my DJ before Original Flavor, before all that. That's why I know, I know that. I think I'm the old half for that. I do take about one right,
you you ain't boring the shots like you're doing. I'm trying to stay at check the scale and check the scale right there, smoothed the hustler, a man for self. Right, this is where the night get ruined on the old head. I've been working record for long. Look at it. Shot that I was doing it. I was doing the cardiac arrest right, and I'm just trying to splay y'all that I've been at the beginning. But MU shots a little different because you're a little different. Wrapping in the building,
was wrapping the corn. Ready, Yeah, I'll take a shot to gas shot Yeah already, hept already, I'm trying to sup. I'll join you. I'm gonna wrestle a bit tonight. I'm a wrestle tonight daddy. So we got to talk about. Let's see if you're think you know I got the one. No, no, no, no, I don't do shots like that. You're never loved the boss people. They gave me my frane cheers. Buddy, you gotta take one. If I take one, please on the next round, another round. But it's crazy. He introduced the
words in it. He was like, I know you should never get used to like liquid cancer. It sounds like fucking single change, like gas, like ancient Chinese secret. Yes it does. It takes like a whole from Gazelle. Yeah, you're reopening the box again. One of the people with Gazelle on a hunting that's twelve thirty five Broadway, fourth floor. I'm coming in York. I live in New York coming. Yeah, you need the emails. I'm gonna be like yo, I'm
nona restraint, no restrainting three. You see me on drink chips. I couldn't capt I don't wear this ship. This is for the people from Gazelle. Frames they got you. You got to survive. This is fact. And was like, you know, he's a nice guy. He's a
nice guy. Like me, tell you something, Norma's a nice guy in real life. Your life. He's tightest wing the time life. He's like, Yo, I'm like, yo, I'm gonna drive, But Yo, I got my son. You know what I mean. His name is Conn. You know, I'm trying to get him move and he's like, alright, cool, let's do it immediately. I mean, he said, yo, I got you and him a ticket. I said, alright, cool. So we fly into Houston, we meet him, I pick up the car. We're driving.
We on the tour. Go no, now we hit Memphis, right, remember that story. As soon as we got I never to my life anger nigger. First of all, nor was popping. Norri was given one sort to the kids that was doing flips on main street. Door. He's like saying the clause he's told everybody people. Nor He's giving money to everybody. Everybody knows getting money. He's like that, Yo, yo, you you can spend five dollars. It's turned out it's twenty. Let us all right, listen, I'm getting straight to a
good part. You get speeding up the process. We we got a certain code of ethics, like when we go to the town, yes together stick at good point on Puerto Rican. First of all, you know chat booter white girl. He was fantized, I know, and then I had a little peace. Get the little pas. I'm trying to tell him. I'm like, yo, it's trying to yo. He said, you shure like like yo, weremember, I've never been the Memphis
in my life. I had a white girl. First of all, I don't really so ill we go to wet Willies. They just built the first wet Willies in Memphis, and we crash it. This is on the stage, nor gets on stage where else fig Street, Nori and we're going. We're going in hammertime. We owned Memphis. Scott it all around nor crazy. I think he had a little peace. Right now, I'm still on the point. This is Memphis, like yo, Like we're on there and we're like, what's
equivalent to the forty second Street? Was it? Bourbon Street? Main Street? Main Street, Bourbon Street? Right films the same same spot, huh Memphis? But but yeah, this yeah, we was coming from like a field like it was like real, like he was just like and don't forget, and don't forget. I'm the driver. For some reason. We found the guy I'm skipping skipping story, right, girl, No, we found the
guy that every CD in his book. Yeah, I was like, yo, you could drive chap yeah, because I'm like, yo, I've got a bad white girl. And she's like, I want to dance and there's a jazz bar. I'm like, I'm like, let's do it. And then Nor's like, yo, we're leaving. I'm like good. We went from the jazz bar. Then we went to another seafood bar. Right when we went to the seafool, they played some sounds. This nig head on what the up block said, white woman from the
South never been kissed like that? Yo, he made look, yo, forget I touched a little page. Don't forget that. I mean, I mean, I'm in right now. I'm I'm I love you. I'm looking at dancing. So I was like, oh ship, He's like, you know, we gotta go. I'm like, I'm good. I'm doing fantastic tonight. What did you? I have like five more shots because I'm trying to like you're going to wear out at some point and I'm here, Yeah,
I tuk it a little piece. I guy, we're not gonna forget that because every time you hear that with the cost and it was like porter wecan electric. She was like, like, stop doing because I don't forget I'm in Memphis. This is a white, beautiful young lady. I'm like, I'm going into I'm going in tonight and then get back to the other side of the story. So we're like, you show you good. We had a fantastic five times. Yeah.
And at this point, I'm already I'm already on orbit off the little piece where I met a guy inside the bar, and I'm because if you know, if we take a little piece, you need a little weed. And I'm so crazy, Norris said, piece being a lot of things. So Norris says, yo, I gotta go. I'm like, I'm okay, I'm fantastic right now, go I go with the guy. I go with the guy that looks crazy to go buy some weed, buy some weed. Like he takes me in Memphis by myself in the projects, and you know,
we're New York niggas. We were bullet going already, they're gone, he's gone. I'm bulletproof. I'm like, I ain't gonna go by already the problem. I'm gonna go buy weed. Nor He's found already. I'm gonna go by. We are guy in the South saying I'm bulletproof. It's a problem, right, I'm looking at these niggas. What I eat the bullet Don't worry. I'm fucking gonna go buy weed right now. The guy said, you want weed, come with me? Hell right there, and I'm like, no problem, mind you, hold on,
let me do right there. Mind you. I don't go to the hotel room. I'm knocked out because I don't think Conan never came in the first place. I don't think he even came to bro do you. He was just the other white girl. Yeah it was, and I saw him. I'm okay, going malory with you, just growing as manage your son. Yeah, I made him that. He's the truth. So look, the crazy ship is whatever happens cold and is back at the hotel with us, right so cold. I didn't know he's looking for you so cold.
I just knocks on my door. He's like, you know on main Street. It's the weirdest question. So I'm like, yeah, remember we were drinking, like oh that he's drinking. We stopping every every drinking on main Street, going crazy. It was leaving this nigger wasn't the good I did. And I'm not a down black. He don't got a white girl to act black. He got a white girl to acting white. She like she Becky with the good here. She and I was in love on the No Yo the gossip block up to ask and I to She's like,
it's my and she's like, it's my birthday. I've never had no one kiss me like because it's only comes like the ball Blade, a little bit of the south Side, and I don't know what happened to round. She never come to my baby always like your I'm out, I'm out. I'm like, nah, it's like maybe five and six in the morning, cool and I'm not going out door and I'm like, what up? My line going on? And I'm
like nah. But I did see a text while I was sleeping, and the text was like a text like called got me to be like twenty minutes and look, oh this is a handcuffed. I can't got it. At some point like he said he just went on the q q q T seven seven seven, I'm yeah, he says, climbing me and I'm gonna go the other way. You're running. Whatever I said helped it locked. I was like, this don't make sense, but I'm just LEXI. I read he's breaking it down and they won't come. What is the
d Vinci cold? So I'm not the cooler that door. I was like, I'll be right back. You ain't telling me any time. I don't know. He strying to figure out I don't know. I went downstairs, but man him John. He was like, I was locked up in Memphish with me find Yeah. He said it was his name, and I was like, damn, I gotta go back. I think the ship ain't gonna comes clock in the morning. We got all four o'clock in the morning. This is nobody else. Like,
I asked, what coner? So I'm gonna say what name again. I'm not trying to lurk to stick at a I'm like, we're like what. I'm like, you know, I don't know what I told them. We called the bells Bosman. They said, hey, man, we gotta only let you know here. We got him, We got him, got him. So now my story now, everybody everybody leaves, don't relieve, everybody leave corner and leave. Everybody leave. I like, yo, I'm good, I'm good. I'm fantastic.
I think I just bought some weed from a nigga that took me to the projects, and I'm having a good time. She says, I want to go dance jazz, Like, okay, I never did. I don't know, I never did. I never dance jass. So I'm like, I'm in, I'm going. You don't know, I never did. Jack talking about to be a decent poor so now so so so now at this point, I'm having a fantastic time. Don't forget I'm on a little piece, you know, it's fantastic. Like
I'm kinds of Blanca hug kissing him. Come on, So she's like, you don't want to go outside smoking a cigarette? On there, You'll come on, it's go outside. So we go outside and ship and all of a sudden, she's just like smoking a cigarette, starts crying like, you know what, this is so beautiful and I want to thank you so much, like this is special. And I'm looking at her like yo, this is crazy, and I'm hooking on her and kissing and she's likes so crazy, and all
of a sudden that the cop call pulled over. No I'm not even I'm not even you know what I mean. I'm not doing I'm just kissing the girl. The guy the call gets out, the cops get out the cop, the cop get on set. Yo, I just saw you hit up. Don't forget, I'm on a little piece right now. So I'm like you, what the fun you're talking about? Motherfucker fast and he was like, yo, he puts me up against the car man, just get against the call.
So right now I'm like bugging out. Don't forget, I'm on another piece and I'm junking and having a good time. You know what I'm saying, me against a good call. So he searched me, So now I forgot. I just both we weed. So what happens. He takes the little it was like a dub a dub A twenty. He puts it on top of the car. Bom. The girl goes, oh my god, immediately clank clank, and I'm like, you don't question. So I'm looking at her like what the
fund is wrong with you? And then he goes. He was like, oh my god, he's a truck dealer, right I'm in Memphis. Oh no, he's going. Everyone's gone. I'm cuffed up against my chesting now the guy got his fucking all on my neck. Don't move, motherfucker, don't move mother. I'm like, yo, that's crazy. One one time I take my shot is bigger than all of your mother. Good that next round, I got you. I skipping that now. So now the girl's going crazy. But that ship is
getting me let So now I'm come. So now the nigger puts me against the car, he puts me in the car. So I'm bugging that right now. So I'm on my mom on my New Yorkshire. You racist motherfucker's. Fuck you motherfucker's. He's like, like, what's my child? He said, domestic violence. So they pulled me through. Mind you, I got a pink shirt. I'm wearing a pink shirt going through the system, and says Conan. And I'm in Noriega. So I have dollars in my pocket. God bless me.
So you know I go through the system. You know Memphis system is different. They bring you right to jail and then't like New York where you go to the tune. Cousins say, nah, you right to jail, like they're processing you. They got the bag of green's waiting for you. So now right, so I asked, I asked one of the cops. I'm like, yo, can I build myself out. He was like, nah, you know that's the female. She's like nah. I was like fun, So I'm sitting down. Then this then then
this the mail cop comes. He was like, yo, I'm the only Puerto Rican there. He's like, yo, where are you from? Alar, I'm from New York. You're like what you're doing out here? So I with Noriega God Bless. He's like Noriega from Queens. He said, Noriega from Queens. Are like yeah, like I'm on tour with Norway said, you know I'm from Queens. He was right there, bro
this nigga name rings Bell. So he's like, you know you got money on yours A. Yeah, you sound much because I got fift He's like, you want to build yourself out? Absolutely. I'm like, well, I'm ready to go. So he brings me through. You know, I do my numbers. I'm bringing the bell out boom. I get outside. You know, they let me out. I called Nori. I'm like, yo, I'm out. He said, I know, I just belt you out.
I'm like, what, No, I built myself out. He's like, no, nigger, I just went to the belt balls man, belt you out. Some money. Got fift it no so that no, no, no, they got my money. Dots like, wait, let me go get money back, and they just so happened again. We go to the fucking bell Basman spot the girl. She's like, Ueen, I love it, and she's like, let me get your money back. She's like, usually we don't do that because the money back. So when he calls me, he goes,
I just felt myself out. I said, yeah, I just belt you out. He said, no, I belt myself. I was that fact I was with your son. I'm not. I didn't telling me that, and he goes, no, they let me build myself up. I said, wait, hold on, okay, I gotta pick you up out of the jail. Anyway, I went straight back to the girl's bossman and she was looking. She was like, yo, I thought it was you but the whole time, so I googled you. When you She's like, queen, Yeah, yeah, I'm Porter Weacan. I'm
from Queens. She was like, yo. But I rushed his process out because he's literally the only Porter Reacan in the Methodist. You're in the you you immediately in the newspaper, so like I'm in the newspaper immediately like convicted Femily and uh distracted domestic. And in Memphis, it's not like New York, like you know, you know New York, you get a public public defender. No, you have to hire a lawyer right there, like, Yo, you're a lawyer. Yo, his my name so much so he's my case. No,
they try you three fifty. Feel like I take in a case right now, three fifty. So now mind you look, mind you, mind you. I'm on tour. So I tell Nora, Yo, just push to the next push to the next state, because I have to wait because in the next city, because straight, because in Memphis you have to wait the next day you go to court. So Norri got to show the next the next city. So I tell him, you just push to the next city, you know, I mean, I'm gonna I'm gonna figure it out and get there.
So I had to. I had to book a hotel night stay there, hired a lawyer, and then fly to meet him in Detroit. So then that was like a three thousand dollar trip from me. And then what happens. I meet them on time and they pulled up me, meet me in the airport and I get behind the whale and I can try to continue driving. So no, no, my white girl. First of all, First of all, first of all, I gotta big up nor because Norri put his money. I was like, Yo, let's get this nick out.
Anybody else like yo. I told him, let's go. Let a lot of hearties wouldn't do that. We gotta film, we gotta be And he put his bread up and was ready to beld me out. And my son was going crazy, like, oh my god, my pops. He was like nineteen eighteen at that time. He was like, my pops today and I'm in Memphis with Elvis, your blue sweater shoes. But the more the story that man Nori's one hunted man. You'll never leave you behind, you know. I mean he would make sure that you would be
if you with him. You're good at all times. Thank you, my brother. He leave no man behind, remembers everything. Let's stick together. He told me. He was like, Yo, come on, let's go a little piece gonna lie. You know. The crazy ship was like a part of me knew because you know, I'm two racists, you know, like I'm two different nationalites. So it sounds like you said you hate people, you know, so like the Porto Rican and me thinks I could get away with everything, like yo, I know.
He told me like, man, fun Memphis, Man, you're never coming back here and just leaves everybody built man, Like why are you the safe for him? Like no, no, never know through you know, he's saying, man, these nicks not fuck Memphis. On the people and Memphis. He said, Man, these knicks, You're never gonna come here again. Jujitsu systems I'm talking about. But what I said was he was ready to be like man, these roll I finally understanding. I had a great point. I was trying to make it.
Yeah I'm sorry, but you just say system no judicioe but big and then fucked you. So yeah, but yeah, I am two different nationalsis ethnicities. I'm two different So when he said I'm good the Puerto Rican and me was like, yeah, they're playing salsa and they play a little bit of Spanish music. You just might be good.
And she was fantastic. The black nigger in me was like, nah, I don't stay here, like I asked him, like the seven at ten times, I kid you not facts Like I was like, yeah, you're good, and they're like whom I actually different times and I went to actually ordered oysters.
I remember that, tried to stay a little while, and that's when that's when it when, That's when it was crazy because she was like, oh my god, you guys are so nice, and we were stay shot and then were like shots shot yea, everybody your birthday, Happy birthday, and then shots. He spent around and it was over, and it was there was something about she got hit with too much or it was too much. She was
like she seen the porter where you can flag. She seen the back of them, she seen the half of what join and I'm looking at her like it's going down exotic man. I'm like, I'm thinking, like I might have to tell I might have to tell my son he's gonna have to shill out in the living room. Oh but that was scary moment my door. He was like, you ain't see pops, And I was just like, because I'm like, you know, I don't know if he's lying to his like his I'm sorry, I don't know if
you like line. I don't know if you were cheating like technically, So I'm like I'm the holest one that I'm like, yo, and see his tex and and the best part about it that nobody was ready to just cancel the toll to wait, and I was like, nah, my nigga pushed to the next city. He was like no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no no no. I'm like, nah, push it in the city. I'm gonna get there. I'm gonna make Sory shut out. This will make you kid the Bell's Bondsman place. It
was like because it was what's your last name? It's like, so, look what's it? Just like you know you and you the only one doesn't remembers like two seconds. I was like ship Like even me, I knew that. I was like that ain't good, yo. And then and then the crazy part about it about it, you go, God bless all the people from Memphis that can't get out. There was guys in there five months that just couldn't pay five hundred dollar bill backs. They couldn't bad Sami, I'm
scared that they can't. We got jails. County is one of the boys. It's one of the oldest jails. He had his own v I people and they got stake were not counties found and it was like nine County is TDK is not nice and came up bad. That's a td K like t K I got process and t g K. I said, I'm good, no process. And I'm in Memphis and they're like you know, I'm like, how long you made? Four months? Why I can't build out my bills five hundreds? I'm like, oh ship I
got and I'm like I'm thinking myself. I I got to talk to somebody. I didn't get out three times. And the crazy part was the sat the girl, the first person that was like, now you can't buy yourself out here, you gotta go through system. I'm like fun And it was a nigger from Queen's bro The sergeant was like yo. He looked at me because I had a pink shirt. He was like to me like did you tell him Paul no pause. I had him to his shirt and he's like, yo, where you from? Broe
T shirt? And I tell him you're from New York. I'm my home on toll and Nori. He's like Nori Noriega from Queens. I'm like yeah, he's like, I'm from Queens. I'm like, come on, guys, everyone gave me for fucking Queen. Yeah, come on, guys, No, don't even know I'm gonna tell you why because he told the queen story. I tell you to mcdonald' and the guy from mcdonalard some queen suit. They don't got a seven tiger shot. But the moment the story is got queens. Nori don't leaven, no man behind.
He makes sure with Nori, you may, he may sure you don't get back even if you're wrong. He's gonna put his ship on the line and make sure you get back to you know what I'm saying, so big up to Nori man. I love you for that. My next day, don't white girls, I love him. I love my love like girls a suk right every Monday, Monday, right right, right, right right. But it's okay, white girl different. I've never been on ever since he has out of here. Okay,
but I've never been to Memphis ever since. I was let's go back and was no little devils go. I was good right because I'm with Nori. Norri's like paying everybody, like the kids like little bump kids. Pause, you know they're flipping and like please give me your ain't nobody's getting everybody twenty nine like sight for little niggers is rapping the shore He's like, yeah, yeah, it's nice. Yeah yeah.
And I'm like, I would like going on. I knew I've been to Memphis a couple of times before and now I usually, you know, I hit a couple of the homies. But this wasn't that type of all. This wasn't that type of toll. Ye. We was in and out, so I ain't hit nobody that I ain't no three sixth It wasn't. It wasn't like it was like a quick We were like in and out. So I know with that being said, because I know that's how they
used to talk to me. They used to be like, yo, my bad, it's a certain time, like you just gotta stay around your own people. And this is the forty second Street. It may not look at the forty second Street. It's another because there's other black people around there those those times. But they with spots to hit and which spots not to hit. We had no idea. So everywhere is real. And I went Nori and he I went Nori. He's like, you wan't wice this no problem. You want
lots of tail, bring him the lots of tail. Like I was the guy, but I'm kissing everybody I'm having fantastic time. Yeah, like yo, I'm like yo, and I think we had to show the day before, right, we had to day we just stayed the Memphis passing through this coach to coach right there, coach, we could have left because like we wasn't on their travel ship. We had an old travel We asked had to get to Remarkets. But at nine o'clock, I was like, I'm out of here.
