little name us. We shot. You know, he shot for a deal with no record and no name, just because then you know, he had he had Motherfucker's Open from Sexy and cracked Out and all. Though those was big records in New York and a little bit nationally so, but he was able to call up record companies and be like, yo, it's grampooball, I want a meeting or whatever. We walk in there and no music. So we did a few of these, you know, um saying for them or something like yeah, I think we just went in

there whatever you were saying. He was the time here, a little older than us exactly. So he does. So we go to we go to Tommy Boy Rosses, did you know, and he's like, yeah, I love you. I'm like whatever you're doing, blah blah blah. He's like, but y'all, you know, I need to hear your guys or whatever. You know. He's like, so, uh, you know, make a demo or something to come back. So he was like

all right. You know. It took us like two weeks to to like scrounge up the time up at Jazzy Jay Studio, Strong City Studio up Auton Avenue in the Bronx, just chilling in the studio wait to finished their sessions. And we didn't see it for nigga feel like letting us even play records in the middlefun know, I mean, so, Mom, finally we get the song done, we go down there.

It's one song, we play the ship for him. He's like, oh, this ship is crazy and Tommy people, this is this is where at Tommy Ross was that Tommy Boy and so at that point he was like, yo, but I just got a job at Electra, Like I want to bring you all over there, like you know what the first bigger label dott A Live. We was hyped off the Tommy Boy ship. Day Soul was there at that time, like they was popping, like you know, so we was like, all right, fuck it and he was like all right,

but you know, so what's y'all's name? We know that I had it on there. I had it for the War Report, right, And Tras on phone said, you know that's dope. And Trys walked to the studio and he was like, you

I was like, he was like, you're right, I was wrong the record. I swear to God, swear to God, my bad. Just I just I just go. So we got the demo for him, who was called I Ain't going out like that. We sampled from James Brown ship. We think, you know that's gonna be popping. Finding your man Kumo D put south Um I got

to work. Yeah, I mean like it wasn't as raw as our ship. It was the same if you remember was the man. We're not battling against it, you know what I mean. So then we ended up picking these next two singles, and like so we had the cameos band.

Everybody brand Nubian, So now your man heavy D ended up using that beat, so that kind of suck that one up to then we had to feel so good, right, But they said that when you're saying happened to be here, saying sample sam example, right, but they everybody sample it in their own way. So these are all variations of the same ship. So now I remember they was playing

the niggas who had I feel so good? During the bag it was and the ship like every day, you know, whenever they played new records or some ship, I'm like, I'm hearing this ship. at night. And I seen thet because we remember we put that out when her song was still out with the Ship, and I heard it one night and I was like, yeah, well that's six sound kind of night. And I went and bought to forty five and I remember we fused with it at first, and somehow we couldn't get it right. And we said fuck it. We went to do the rest of the album. That was the last song because remember it was that day. It was the last That ship is Dope. And then somehow

nobody had the right drum and that's it. And then we started putting horns and shipped to it at the end and that was it. It was like I go home, right, your ship come back, put it damn And that's what the funk happened now awful one. I knew that from the crankles heard the beat. I was like, yeah, if they don't like nothing else, they're like, I guess right, let me beginning of that record start. I hate this to be a singing crack just like this, and that's

what I should walk around. We used to have the records with us because I remember who I had that record with us, and we that was cracking with the snappot on pop in the beginning.
