went trick y'all had the morning show? What happened Trick and Treating show? Yeah. Originally, in our deal we had, it was a two year deal for the morning show. Only two years we took. You know, it was new, so we didn't want to like O D and we didn't really know he's gonna like it. But um so we took the two years. Right when we was in the first year, that's when we kind of started the pandemic.

So we started having our guests come on doing our live interviews, Like we had a couple of artists come on, and then pandemic hits so we could get no guests to come on. So kind of like you know, it kind of slowed us down, but we still you know, proceed with the show. Um it kind of it wasn't as great the first year. The second year we picked up it was you know back when we still have the guests on. But as the month came right before the deal was over, like maybe the deal was over November.

The show stop like September. Um, it was something with the label, um, with the record label. I mean with the radio station. We're over budget, we're under program programs with Jill Charta, this is her whole program, so kill pick up the jail. Um they cut Jill. So everything under jail failed, that's us included, you know. So it's not really personally on us. It was just the whole situation that we had, and I mean we was like, you know, we already knew it was over in November.

So with that we didn't have we didn't do like an option to stay or anything that. We just did our two years I mean two year deal and that was it. So it kind of like showed us a one month But it was cool. You know, it's a great experience, learning experience. Now you did you like it? You liked it? What did you do it again? You breaking up that early? I mean, I liked it. It was it was good and it was good and some

stuff I like. What I learned though about it was you know, just being an artist and just with radio, especially new artists, they don't really understand the play in the game of radio, you know, when you're artists, even as myself, like you have your records, why isn't my record on radio? Why is it this? That? And it's all protocol, it's all budgeting, it's all money behind and radio is not playing your record if you're not putting the bag behind it. That's just what it is. And

some artists don't really understand it. So I realized being directly in radio and seeing how it actually works, and now I could go back behind the curve. I saw exactly what's really happening. Did you interview new artists? I did? Did you enjoy it? I can't stand on interview a new artists. I can't understand interview and the guy that'd be like words, oh yeah, the one word? Do you think that's but do you think they're nervous because it's

the first time. It's all these questions and you're just like, uh, you know what it is? Um? I think if you're coming from the streets, we actually was told to get away from the cameras and then in this game that it's just it's just it's just totally do I just hate I just hate the new artists approaches. It's like it's just like how I just asked you a question about the radio. You gave me the full flag answer. So it was like, that's that's what I like. I like,

Or did you do it over with her in person. I wouldn't mind. I would. I would love to do

So it's totally like I felt like I was at a concert. You guys didn't think about doing the show as a podcast. He did, but something somebody asked us about that though, I think we could. Yeah, yeah, And what's great about that? putting it on their own thing. But they own it all. And I think that's real because that's that's something. You know, you've been on a lot of major labels. I love major labels. But the one thing that major labels were doing, not maybe not to you, maybe not to me, but they were owning a lot of people's material, giving people up for money. So it was there was kind of the same time with me a year before, but there was Missy, there's Brad, there's um Uh Kim, there's all these girls. And these days girls was like close. Everybody was like it was a five. It looked lest it looked like we all

everybody was close. Because when it was like six seven main girls. So when you see the Ladies Night video, this is the sin what you think of female hip hop when you see this video. And when I came in, and I mean, this may not be for everybody, but all of these women in this video, with the exception of Left Dot because you know she's not here, like, all showed me so much love from Angie Martinez on down. So I thought that was the setting of the tone

So I thought that was the tone for female artists, like to show love were in this game together, all videos gonna be like not everybody gonna link up do songs like we're gonna take over the world. Again. This is like almost like a radio. When you start finding our stuff, it's permits. It's time. You have to prepare a year in advance, not a couple of months. You gotta get the city. You gotta get this, you gotta buck off the street, you gotta get a leader.

It was a headache for four years. Okay, we did certain little stuff that was cool. Um. One of the ones I love, which was the second annual, which was like we kind of did it for the East for kids, like you know, the plane dropped the eggs out all that was a big thing. So the last year COVID nothing. We couldn't do anything. So I really gave away like fed two thousand families. So it was like a small little thing on the block. But it wasn't as it was not like this because it was a drive through.

You know, we had masks on gloves. It was like really intense and like it wasn't the vibe. So this year we got the whole city of Miami, We got the commissioner, the mayor, we have Miami Dade County. We have everybody involved, Like they came through, showed up, and showed out, and I'm just too happy and engaged and too excited. It was like one person in the background. You can't possibly think it's a training show you see one person in the background. So I was on my shots and I had time, and I lit the ass up and I was like, I gotta get off Twitter because the fingers was going sad. So I realized this is not

a real it's not a place for me. I'm gonna sagittary. That's a fire sign. You can't really play once a sagittary spot sagittarian. It's a problem. So I just don't do the Twitter thing. You feel me?
