And that was the first record that I worked with Scott doing, and that record and platinum and I was just like wow, that was that was the first comeback. Damn. There's been plenty of times I've gotta beat in the producer,

but like this, I don't want to. I'm some artists be brutally honest and like are you really feeling something like don't don't jump the gun? Like the first thing I play might be cool, but like just like let it happened, Like let me know when you really fucking something moves you. When you're like I got an idea for this, right, that's when you know. It's like the baseball you don't you know what labor? Right. I don't know if it's ever been done before to make a chance,

would make the record. He's like, at the end of the day, I'm gonna drop the record every day, five days straight. Like we dropped the record every day and it was crazy, man. It was like it was so that we got plaques off the flute song and wipe you up. But you know, look, it's all about giving roses, right.

Um My little nephew Ryan reached out to me and said, Yo, you need to get with this kid named Russ and Milan, who was his manager I used to deal with back in Toronto years ago, and uh, Russ came in Scott's house and you don't work with nobody but Russa's everything himself. He looked up to Scott and he idolized them. And I remember FaceTime and Nip Nip was in the barber's chair and I FaceTime. He picked up and Russ got to meet him, and Russ was like wow, like Steve,

you have no idea what's different me? And he was a fan of my podcast. To russa's really uh hip hop? And then he set the record to Nip. They were supposed to get on but he passed. But Russ is a different type of kid man. I have a platinum plaque in my house for a record I did with Russ and I Wipe Up. We had two song he wrote to Scott's Storie the reason why I started making music,

and that ship just as well in his book. He wrote it on the platform and he wrote it in his book because he said he never worked with no one in his life. He mixes, he masters, he engineers. He's gonna come back to himself. He's like, I never worked with nobody, and he came and banged out so many records with Sky. But he's a great kid. What not to cut you up? He knows about hard ticket sales. You know, it's a business man like business thrown to

a rush show. But I've actually never experienced the rust show. He was restaurant fucking cold ass following the Red Rocks for him. But like, I've never seen anybody react toble artist like that. They've seen every word. I did coach Olla with him once and he just the fans of every cold fans like sold out the stadium ship like a different breed man. And he don't need radio. And

he's a good special kids, specialty dozen things. That's why I might all independently, right, he supposed the award shows don't recognize him. Yeah, you don't get the recognition he's supposed to me, he's like he's like, he's like and I know this gonna sound a little crazy, but he's like the white Tyler Creator to me, you know what I'm saying, Like how Tyler creator Kyd does his own things, his own does not need radio. And so it's it's amazing to me that the Rossa doesn't get like the

same after he's gonna comes to award show. You know what's so funny. He did go to Sony for a deal and he wanted them to get him radio, and they didn't get him the radio he wanted. He went back independent, all right, and he knows the businessman and got a great family and he's a good kid man, rich kid, he's rich. Yeah, but people you can tell how much he loves the culture, you know, like yeah, on the recent album I Think Am. I was listening

to a record with him at Viney the Butcher. You know, he was a child like this kid loves You can have both of them love writing and ship like I just I love that, don't. I don't get to see that, you know, just part of me hates the business part was like fun. I had to find my inspiration and my love for it again and I did you know the business is funny man. I was my first attempt at making an album. And then it went out yatu for a while because that was supposed to be my record and they U and uh yeah it went it went to uh to Ross you got

I don't know, but I wanted that originally how are you gonna say no to the boss, but you wish you would have said you wish would have care for yourself or no. Yeah, I mean I may not have went down like that. I tell Scott save a lot of records from so I don't know. I wanted to down below to be my record. But wow, now one of my close friends. We spoke about them earlier, but I

want to know how this record was worked about. Lord, give me a side, DMX, Well, y'are living together this time? I think he lived with you. He was staying with me for like a week or something. I mean, yeah, it's kind of crazy. Story is like the blind leading the blind story before liken't even back then. I always

wanted to help him. And I remember I was like snorting my brains out and I'm telling him who was smoking the ship Likens, it ain't cool, man, you gotta stop doing the current man, And I say, come stay with me. And I remember I put him in the rehab and everything, and back then not my rehab that you know, but in Hollywood, Florida's recovery first to place I went to and failed miserably, but um I told

him to go there. We made we we were making that record and then simultaneously what all that, And then

some crazy shit happened. And I remember X called me from the hard Rock Casino, which was across the street from the rehab center, and telling me that he was with one of the nurses from the rehab center at the hard Rock and I mean, I don't think they were gambling, but at anyway, I remember like I was just like, man, put on a hoodie something and just come to the crib and we're gonna try and get you back in there. And they wouldn't accept them back

in the thing because he left the nurse. Yeah, and it was the order situation, the situation and her fault. I remember I was at the Montrean Hotel. I said the mostly like four days later and I got a call from my home security and they were like, there's fifty federal agents at your house right now and they're here for X. And it was sad, man, But I tried. I've always tried, like even in the horrible state I was in to help him because I got so much

respect and love for the man. And then, um, you know, flash forward to me and Steve. We tried to help, you know, and it was already too far gone and then we lost him. Man, But yeah, he was actually hanging out with me for the last like six weeks. I was like almost every day, right he he he rented a hotel, rent the block with me. I woul see him as every day crazy. Yeah he definitely. Did you ever get to work with fun? No? You ever met?

I don't know. Oh wow. I've had so many moments where like either or Joe would say yo, he would have really liked to work with two. He wouldn't like really good, you don't out of you? Yeah, y'all never enough to stupid. So who's who's your favorite first to collaborate with? that with those guys. As producers. My favorite working experience I think with artists with the artists, UM would have to be the making of Dr Drey's album as an artist two one. Making that album was one of the

most incredible experiences of my life. I got a chance to hang out with like everybody like when we're making that album, Like you know what I'm saying, Like I found myself and young kid in the studio smoking joints with Snoop Dogg all the ship bro, going to the place to like you're just saying that collaborative effort of that album there, but invited the most important hundred DJs, you know, the core DJs this one now where all these different like DJs, we're in that motherfucker to do

a listening party and he sent for everybody to be there at the Playboy Mansion and it was lit. But that was one of the most fun experiences of my life to be part of that. UM. Have you working with Kendrick Huh? You know, No, I haven't working with Kendrick. That surprised should happen to be. I would love to work Okay, I love to work with Tyler the Creator. There are a lot of artists I don't want to work it and who I feel like me coming back

to Miami. Right now, I'm creating a recording studio and I'm putting this thing together like right off on the beach and everything, like literally like gonna be the sexiest studio possible. I'm gonna be going so hard for the next twelve months. You're gonna see some ship that you would expect to see from me. Okay, um like NASA hit boards, capable three albums? Again, is this somebody you you gotta do that? You want to do a whole album with? Who a lot of people want. I would

do a whole album with. But I think right now the most important thing for me is to lace artists with big records and make my own album. Like I want to make my album and follow in the blueprint of what Kalad is doing. But Kala is a monster and it's so inspiring to me, like when I'm like looking at him and like, man, that's a lot of work that goes into that. People think it's just cool, but like the dude puts in a lot of hours of fucking labor. The vocals are in, The vocals are

in all that ship. Bro and all the time, doing social media, all the time, doing this being the personality and then the creative aspect of it also exhausting. That's my inspiration, Like I need to not be lazy and I need to get in there because I have the talent to make unlimited amounts of hits. So now it's time. But those guys all my brothers, and we made a lot of history and working on a movie together and a lot of stuff. But I also told DJ Paul, you gotta bring gangs to boot and Country Blackout as well. The tree STIs Monfia is just not juicy J and d J Paul so Versus realized that and said, you know what, yeah, we need to go hard to do this.

So we kept trying to find dates, and we found the date and everybody agreed to it, and we were like, should we bring out features. You know a lot of people people bring our features, and like Bone got so many hits, tweets got some hits. You know what, you gotta bring our features. But organically we brought out some features,

and they brought out some features. But you know, they were mocking Busybone and look from where I come from, Queen's and the music business man sticks and stones whatever that saying is like, as long as you ain't telling someone to suck you, you know, whether fuck your mother, you know, it's hip hop. He supposed this violating chopped

And I love all those guys, And we didn't have more security, and you know, they had some security, and you know three six had some security, but you know, some paid security that knew me and some of the homies that knew me, and no one wanted to even have a problem and do that. But it could have got lovely because both sides are not pussy. And I took the initiative as a diffuser two stop it because it could have got out.

You know, one thing that we're doing that our treatment centering, the Heavily Center, is we're gonna make health insurance cool. You know, a lot of artists that are Latin and af American, they don't think treatment is cool. And treatment

is cool? Um, And why don't labels give artists, you know, besides music cares, you know, health insurance. Why is most artist when they passed away the bigger dead than alive, like King Vaughan and Pops Smoke Connips and stuff. So get the artists to health insurance for that. They're dealing with a lot of mental health and addiction right now.

But why the executives got steady checks and health insurance and you know for one case and expense accounts to go to Mr Childs and the strip clubs to build back to the artist. You know. So at the end of the day, like a lot of people just push you to the side, man, they don't. They just want to stand next to you when you're hot and up to me.
