Trink Up, motherfuck, motherfuck? Would it good? Be hoping he would sid me to see your point in O R? What up is? D J e FN's really table? Got ready to drink drink right now? Listen. You know we as as I always do. You know, I do my due diligence, and I do my research when I when I interview somebody, and I was going through this man's catalog and I'm just going through his bars selection. I think you might be too good, So let me finish my intro. I actually compare this guy, put him up
there with rock him. You know what I'm saying. When it comes to lyrical content, I believe he would longed in that era when it when it comes when it comes to that, the man has to be the most loyalist person I've ever seen held his wife down and do a whole track, and we need more examples of that. He's a lyrical bar lord. I mean, I don't think I think he could wrap with anybody on the track. So in case you don't know who the funk I'm talking about, I'm about the one and only motherfucker pack
pools Now. I got to ask you, right, like when you and your wife argue, do y'all like battle rap? I just thought about that, like like when you like it was just what's gonna be? Honestly, I wish we did. She had killed me if we did, but the person killed me. So let's let's take it from the beginning, right, because in the beginning, uh, it was a case slave that you got started with and didn't like Buster came on? Right? Is that accurate? So how did that case slate connection
and start? Man? Um? I met slave man just you know, I mean just being in the hood, and I mean hip hop was always my dream, you know what I'm saying, And coming up in the hood, man, it was just so far from reality for me. And then one day I was listening to the radio and I heard this dude on the radio, but he was playing new artists. And back then, if you wasn't coming through Rob a Fella, murder In or rough Rider on one of those crews, you wasn't getting on. Was this this the drama? Yeah?
He was on how Day seven is a super leger. And I'm listening and I'm hearing. I'm like, this dude is playing new all this on the radio. I need to meet this dude. So I always kept that in my mind, you know what I'm saying. And I was in the street, I got locked up. What I'm saying. I found myself on the island. Not for a long time, a little a couple of weeks, but I'm in there and I'm like, yo, man, when I get out of here,
I gotta go meet this dude. Man, I gotta I gotta change my life because this is my future if I if I continue doing what I'm doing, I'm definitely gonna end up. You know, I'm saying, going up north and do some time. So when I get out of here, I'm gonna go meet that dude. And I got out, I went to the studio. I recorded seven songs and what I'm saying. I took the picture for the cover. I had the mic and Wayne and the gun and the other hand. Put my number on the CD and
I went up to only seven. I looked it up. I ain't had Google and none. I must have used yellow Pieces or something. I went to the station and I just waited for him man, and he came. He came out. Matter. He came, and he was going to world game. You know my name, Pat post me? Here you go, it's my demo, you know sled. He took it and went in the building. I went to the radio. I'm listening. I don't hear my song, But did you
just gonna happen? In my mind? I finally met a nigga who on the radio it's up and that happens to him every day. Most likely you start missening. You wanna play my ship. I'm like, damn, I'm gonna do this ship again next week. Then come back next week. I do it again, same routine, Yo, he go, man, same seven songs. What I'm saying, you go my name name pas Man Like, I ain't going the building. I'm listening to again. I'm like dating game again. So I said, you know what, next time when I go, I'm a
wait for him, and that way we come out. He's gonna have to explain to me why he didn't play my my music. So I'm listening. He's going for at two o'clock, it's like one fifty. I'm like, damn, I still don't hear my song. I'm like, let me call up on the radio. I call up from down in the car. He picks up. I'm like, oh ship. So he's like, Yo, what's up. I'm like, yo, man, why do you playing my song? He's like you anybody can't be a rapper man. Some people gotta be a firing man.
I'm like, oh, this is something like I remember exactly how old it was, but I was a lot younger. So he I'm like, all right, when he comes down, I'm gonna see this nigger, you know what I'm saying. So he comes down, I'm going at him. He going at me. So the person who he was with at the time, he got in the middle of us and saying, he like, yo, you know you can't do it like that. Give me the CD I got you, man. I'm like, all right, whatever, man, I spin off. I'm back in
the hood again. Now I'm in a situation, but I'm about to throw my life away and my phone ring mom. In the midst of that, Slay on the phone He's like, yo, You're on the radio next week. I'm like wow. And then I went up there. He had projecty up the arrest in peace. We spit live on the end and the rest was history. Man. So eventually bust the rhymes
because becomes a part of this. How is that busters? Yeah? Yeah, I started to me and Slay started flooding the streets with a lot of mix tapes and ship and buster her when when we was doing it, eventually he reached out like, y'all want to funk with this kid? Ain't Pam poost man, you know what I mean? And we um. We did a couple of records together, hand in. Eventually he put me on that big one. Yeah, that should
change my life. Man. I couldn't go to more nor more after that understaying world right, um nah, I met Rem. I met Rem like, oh four, No, I'm sorry, I meant slaying oh four. I meant realm like around late oh f oh five, you know what I'm saying. But about mousing around. Let's some champagne ready. By the way, your your your drink. I always pay attention to the artist drink order and your drink orders. Out of line. You picked Tennessee and Dorpy. We are drinking douce s
just black drinking Spain. Okay. So she told me I would have brought I would have brought it. Man, let me ask you something like like I said, I bounce around a little bit. What how come you ain't never have a relationship with Rocket Feller or is there a quiet relationship? Um? Nah? Never queenst niggas know each other. That's funny. I mean I funk with Bleak, but you know, I mean I folk with Bleak now, but back then I really a matter of fact, me and Blake actually
did a mixtape back then too. Um, but I never had a relationship with them, with them like that, you know what I'm saying. Because you gotta understand Slay sign me and Slay and get along with Slay. They didn't get along, so that door was like kind of closed for me. Yeah yeah, yeah, man, you know what I'm saying. And the history was a little a little shaky, you know what I mean? That makes sense that makes sense. Would you ever want to do a record with j
or like connect with Hell? Yeah, I would love to, you know what I'm saying. It was a time where, um, you know, I did an interview when I said a couple of things in the interview, I ask you about that, and well, you know, after the interview, I forgot what. I think it was a daily news or something like that. I did a long ass interview, and somewhere in the interview they was like, yo, you know what I mean, do you think you're the best? I said yeah. They
said better than jay Z? I say yeah. They said, next thing, I know that was the headline King in New York. After it was that was a whole another but they just took that part. Pat Post says he's better than jay Z. You know what I'm saying. The interview wasn't even about that. I mean, but whatever, Um, and that was that. So it went on from that, and then I went on. I went in the studio. I said, I backed it up, a double down on it. I said him better than whatever, whatever, And then um,
eventually I met him. Though he showed me love. Though he's like, yo, you're competitive, man. I like that. He sees everything. Oh yeah yeah, yeah, like words, so that's crazy. Yeah, man, that makes a lot of sense now. Like I said, I was going through your stuff and like your boss
is really really complicated. It's really like so I could tell that you really think all the way through, Like your ship just sense like I'm not my my favorite ship right now is bucking Hat No, okay, oh with us doing rust Shout the rust Yeah, yeah, yeah, shout out the rust Man some type of ship in me, Like I was like listening to that. You can forget that.
I can't play that the rust Man. This is a different type of that's his records right now that you want to come back to, right, yeah, pick him up. Shout the rust Man, which which one of you said was the cold one lead damn I for god? Yeah that yeah, want to play played that one? We don't even do this, We don't even played the first time. Yeah. Yeah, that's just something to me. Man, That's what's up now. You got you gotta say who were the influences behind
one of your first looks? Was cool Girat right? Yeah, definitely. Man. When I was younger, a friend of mine, I mean he introduced me the bat I spit for him and we did a song called Home, Sweet Funeral Home on Roots of Evil album. That's what I'm saying. So you shout out the g Batman big brother Man. Did he gotta come outside? I said that on the last episode. Right, You're gonna get mad at me, but I'm saying that you gotta come out. You gotta come on a drink chat.
A lot of things got they stabbed from g Man. A lot of people top five, So who's your top five? My top five is g rap Kane, Biggie, uh Naas and Cameras Swan. That's a good rock him honorable mentioned man. I need to say I needed me, I needed six. I need tend really. But I gotta put okay. I gotta put the R in there on number six. I gotta put um big pun number seven. I gotta put two poc number eight. I gotta put busting rhymes number nine. And no mean no particular order my wife man, no tupoc,
I mean no no holes. Lyrically, I don't got homever my time. I mean on the business of its crazy. You know I'm gonna be honest with you. Better be listen. I'll be honest. You should do back. Doubt first came out, I did not like I want. I mean, I could say this man, when reasonable first first came out, I wasn't crazy about it. I wasn't. But now I looked back at the ship he was saying, they lived all of that ship out. I got a whole new respect for it. At the time, I was always tell them all,
I tell this people. I like I was broke, so like Morelan ming wit to him. I felt like he was frosting on me. I because if if you can say you got money and say you broke, switch your lanes, switch your lanes, and she's like that, you're talking to me right right right, yeah, you're looking looking at your ship. He's like you know what I mean. Like he always made me feel like that, like to a certain step, like I always say the story, Um, when Niggas and Paris came out and we was going to the club
and I went with one of my friends. One of my friends asked me the ball money and I gave him some brad and were going the club and my friends in there to Nigga like me, when you please with mom. I'm sorry that wasn't out, but yeah, that's crazy. That's crazy. So moving on, at one point, I felt like you thought you were black balls. Oh yeah, definitely, I definitely was. Do you think that's that really exists
in this industry? Black ball? Yes, absolutely, blan that to the people for a new artist who's going basically, it's another word for hate. You know what I'm saying, Niggas hate on you, or if if they're intimidated by you, they'll find a way to prevent you from reaching your potential in this game. And it really exists, you know what I'm saying. Executives, um d j's like niggas, niggas
will black ball you and will hate on you. I definitely feel victims to that early in my think because because I think at one point you was alluded until you thought that Rocket Feller was Like, it wasn't me that said that. A lot of people always said that,
Like it always haunted me. You know what I'm saying, a lot of people, like I get I probably get a message like that once a year, like yo, you know I'm saying, now you're real talk and I'm saying, but me personally, you know, I mean, I never experienced it. You know what I'm saying, but I heard it a lot because connection, I don't know what it was for, you know, I mean all I could do is assume,
because you know what they say about assuming. I never had no problem with no issues with nobody, you know what I'm saying, but chancing nor re question. Yeah, I heard that a lot throughout my career. And like, what were signs that that that you felt that? Like you ever trying to get records added to the radio and how would you feel? Well, basically when I met slave, you know what I mean. Luckily, I was fortunate enough that I created a real serious buzz quick and you
know a lot of people was working with me. I was toring. Yeah, actually it was a rough ride, man, look at it like put like this, I met Slay four, I can get a deal to like oh seven, that's how That's how hard niggas was blocking me. But I was toring, And you know what I mean, I was so consistent that I still was able to shine. But every time I got a good record. Oh yeah, I had like twenty something mixtapes. But every time I got a good record, you know what I mean, they went
they went't funk with it. You know what I'm saying they wouldn't play and pay. Very interesting that you bring it up because I did interview on a breakfast club the other day and Envy actually shout out the Envy I respect him to be honest, he actually admitted it. Just put a footag job. You don't take my head, he said. Yo. When Pat first came out, you know what I'm saying, I didn't play his record because I had a problem with Slag. He's sating on camera, you
know what I mean. And I already knew that. Oh, so he wasn't the only one. He was the only one. That feels like there was a lot of DJ's like that. You know what I'm saying, That DJ hating on each other wasn't organized like they all stick together, you communicated. They got DJ teams like No, I know that that. I'm just saying. So you wonder over this ship because when I met Slave and I thought it was all good. No, I mean, I'm thinking everything in the industry, I see
it's real. So I'm like, Okay, I funk with Slave, he worked at the radio. I'm good. So when I started taking my ussic, the nigga and niggas was acting funny. I go back to Slay. I'm like, you say, what's up with these niggas? Like all honesty, I need looking for outside. Look looking at this body like you already got slate. What you need me for? Not really though, because you know once a week, twelve o'clock at night, I need to be on day to have a career.
You need. So I'm trying to build relationships and niggas is acting funny. So I'm like, you're Slay, what's up makes me? I'm like, no, we need them so eventually. Now me, I'm from the street, you know. Unfortunately I was young and ignorant man, which I shouldn't never did. We started putting hands on and I sucked up. I made it worse. I made it a bassiship Asian works. You know. I'm saying so because to tell you the truth, right, And like I never I never thought he was black Ball.
I never did. I thought maybe, you know, I was probably making the wrong moves, but I didn't think he was black Ball. But for people who says that, right, Like I watched an interview the other day of Ali Vegas. Right, Ali Vegas. He didn't say it, but he was alluding to like these people didn't want him to be as big as Nas, and I was. I wanted to say, damn, you have to think like that because because I'm just being honest with you, I've never been as much times.
If I've always been around Nos, been around Jay, been around Puff, I've never heard them even alluded to even hating on another brother, like I swear to God, like I know, it's like far fresh to see, but like as I like, and I'd be always wondering like that. I asked Nas if he was black ballter. He said he was black balled. So well, let me say this, man, when I met jay Z showed me a lot of love and respect, and I showed him that respect back. You know, say, because he's a legend, he's an icon,
he's everything. You know what I I mean what he saying is nobody could take away from what he did, especially being from Brooklyn, you know, I mean you got to salute him. Same with nots like not trying to sign me at one point, I mean, not just reached out to me. We met up in Lower Manhattan, meet him and my homie Old. We satting there, we ate pizza and he was like, yo, yeah, just the three of us, I think, And he was like, yeah, I'm going over there with Jay soon. You know what I'm saying that
that Jam I want to bring you over there. You know what I'm saying. I see big Bill bolls for you all of love. And he said sending agreement. You know, I mean it was not I mean I grew up listening to him and he sent the contract over you know what I meaning? And Slave and slaves say it was like, man, man, think of man like this ain't a good one packed and slave is my big brother. You know what I'm saying. So, by the way, yeah, pick up the slave man, get well soon. I hope
we're doing a better hit. Definitely definitely man so um you know that's that to make it just the credit. Just just don't know what you said about those two. Man, I've never seen no hate from none of them, right, yeah, I've never because like, in order fun and to be black ball, right them, to be a part of a black ball system, you gotta have some type of hater
in you. You understand what I'm saying. Like there's been times I've brung things to them and they'd be like and lets these dudes live like you know what I'm saying. I'm like, I'll say off camera because you know I'm getting a little deep. But I've always heard them like let it go, Like I never hear it. See one of them be like, hell, you know what, let's do it. Like I see car, you ain't do that ship I've seen. Yeah, yeah,
it's yeah, it's a different names, different thing. If he wanted to set you down, he goes, he's gonna say it too, like he gonna he gonna weird on his sleeve. But you know, you know what it is with with with that situation, I don't even like to speak about it because I'm in a good spaceman. It didn't work. I mean, but you know what I worked do but happened though, Like with me, That's why I don't like to speak about it because a lot of niggas claiming
and it's not my situation. The ship is really like the nigga And he just said it on the on the Reference Club the other day, basically you know what I mean on the camera, like I have Gilly, and Gilly always say that he thought that he did he did. I didn't see that. He always and I always be like but I think I don't even think that thought about. I think I'm cool. But he always says that back, and he said he said he loves podcasting because no
one can't block him in podcast. So and so what he's trying to say is, man, I got blocked and wrapped. So you know, I always pull it out of him on camera. Off camera, I be like, what do you mean? He always like yeah, man, Like I'm gonna be honest. The more I get got to meet you, Jake, I don't think he was he would make a call to block any black man from getting money. I swear to guard like I swear to guard makes a noise for j man, why not when your class? I think you
man Brooklyn, I got a little yeah, so definitely. So now I think that I didn't think I would see you on and I didn't want to get to the EPs twelve in a month, right, but I didn't expect to see you on, and you influenced me to do O Love and hip Hop like you was the first person I saw on Love and hip hop keep their character and have your character clean like you was never on no fucking re ship. You ain't throw no drinks,
you ain't doing no no dumb ship. It was always a part of it, But what makes you even want to join that? I didn't want to do it, man, for those reasons. I don't want to do that ship. Man. When my wife was locked up, they reached out and they wanted to document, you know, I mean me going to visit her and supporting and all that, and me and her spoke and he was like, nine, that's not something we want to be a part of because they'd be throwing drinks and ship. Yeah, somebody do that ship
to us. You know what I'm saying, It ain't gonna be good. But when we came when she came home, we spoke about it again. They came to another offer, and she was like, it might be good because you got a bad livitation and I got a better. Maybe we can show people that we all. He like, we got a family, you know what I'm saying. That was her decision. Yeah, she did, just like that. She's like, because you know what if you did, you know, it's crazy.
I forced Capone to do that season. He was Campone was supposed to be on that season, but they couldn't tell us that y'all was doing it. Hadn't we knew that with the I'll just assigned on the media. But I back upon to do it at Compone's told everybody, how are you gonna tell me to do love and hip hop? And he ain't gonna do it. But when I saw it was the integrity, like you gotta stayed the same, and not only that, you guys major image even better, like I wanted to be a better man. Yeah,
I ain't gonna lie. When I did it, though, I was expecting to get to get killed. Man, they're gonna kill me when they see this ship. Man, I'm on one knee. I'm proposing, you know what I'm saying and just showing. Yeah, but you know how ignormant motherfucker's is. You know what I'm saying that. It was crazy though when I when the when the ship, you know, I mean, I was bracing myself for impact and I ain't nothing beloved I came. Man, I think people was tired of
seeing our people. I'm saying to picked it like that on the on the screen. I don't know what it was, but I didn't get the number love from that ship. You're still doing? Did you live in Atlanta? No? No, I'm still living. Are you doing Atlanta edition? No, No, I'm not. I'm not doing that. What happened was when the COVID head, they tried to get us to do the one in the Bubble, but then you had to you couldn't bring the baby. And my daughter was only like probably one years old of the time, and we
wasn't gonna separate from my child like that. So we fell back. But we're still doing. We actually got a new one coming out real soon, I think like next week. Yeah, it's UM African Genealogy or something to that. That That we went out there and they took out DNA and they're telling us where we're from in Africa. You know what I'm saying. So that's one. Did you travel over No? No, no, they took it like probably a year ago. So they
took at DNA and then we shot at UM. Atlanta could be dope if you went to wherever they found your genealogy. I'm going. I'm going. I'm going, man, I can't wait. I've never been in Africa, so I can't wait to go. I went. I went to South Africa recently and shout a film out there. Yeah it's dope. No, I can't wait to go. Always just scare me about Africa, like two shots and yeah, yeah, you gotta take a bunch of shots. It depends where you're going to take
a shot. The vaccine. Back then, like like I don't know if this is a white man thing or something, but they would always be like, you can't drink they water and like, yeah, but negles be drinking the mohait those with the ice, and the ice is the water. And then fuck you up, all right, that's why you go straight. That's why you go straight, drinking straight drinks. So pat, we do love the hip hop and dude,
is the music still there? The love the love of music still there because because like I said, you guys not only had a strong image, it actually made you a star. Actually did with hip hop. Hip hop was meant to do with you. You got through a whole another alley alleyway. Yeah, man, that's what happens, man, when they hating you, That's what happened man, You know what
I mean, gold finds another way for you to shine. Um. At that time, I made more money off for television that I ever made a hip hop you know, I'm saying, shot them on the Scott Man, we love you. When he camera, I love you. You can tell them checks as good. I'm serious to man man, Oh yeah, man, I'm over there. I made a lot of money, man, I got it. I always say it maybe a chance I get Man, I made a lot of money on television. So, um, that's what happens, man, you know what I mean that.
That wasn't my plan. It just happened like that. And doing it you're aware, which is yeah, yeah, we were gonna make a fool out out of ourselves, you know what I'm saying, and full into the fall, into the dumbnest. We actually let them know, you know what I mean. So they kept it cleaning, ain't play, no tricks and nothing on Like the j the other day, he said, yeah, man, I think it's over for me and my wife, and I'm going really he goes, yeah, so I'm not arguing
with her to the cameras to cut on. I said what he said this reality show and said he's saving his arguments for the camera. I can't do that. I was like, you too, will get too much invested into this ship. Yeah yeah, see that's what I wasn't gonna do. I wasn't gonna go up there and you know, make a food out myself. It looked like you and really never argue. It looked like y'all never have problems. I mean we're human, man, everybody. Everybody go to the to
the ship. But it's not about the argument, man, It's about and then when you're wrong, because you're not always right, I mean you or your or your partner. So you know, when she was locked up, I couldn't touch her. So all we had was communication. Like I visited, they would say,
put your hands on the table. She like that. So we spoke a lot, and throughout that communication we learned even if it's a disagreement, if she's speaking, I gotta be quiet, and then when I'm speaking, she got to be And when you do that, you really see what you was wrong, because you'd be like, oh, I made you feel like that, and I don't be your attentions what I'm saying like they right now? Man, you know, I mean, it's communication. Man, We we disagree, but it
don't really escalate to the point of right negativity. And you're both like alphas, they're both like so that's the compromises of sitting back and yeah, you gotta you gotta listen, man, when she talking, you gotta be quiet and you take your turn. Now, I mean that should work out like that all the time. Do you counsel and like that? Or no? We never did it. We considered it though, Okay, one time and we considered it, but it never happened yet. Have you have you ever done it? I'm thinking about
it right you think about it. I'm thinking about it right now. We did it on that bootcamp thing. Uh well bootcamp was no marriage bootcampa. You didn't know counsel that was counseling. Yeah, I enjoyed it. But what made you what? Um? What made you want to do it? But marriage bootcamp? No? No, I'm not that the counseling like I wanted you to do it now because I'll be realized that I'm just I'm still human too, like I still got you know, ship, and I and I don't.
It's not nothing to talk talk about and I need you. I shouldn't talk about it, you know what I'm saying. So, um, yeah, I've been I've been thinking about and I like how Charlotte Mayne, you know what I mean, Like he speaks about count like yeah, like to me, So I just want to be a better person. Now, that's dope. That's dope. That's dope. So like I said, like, like, what what
what made you like this? All right? I was personally seeing you, you know, when realmy was was away and I was seeing you in the club being respectful old woman around holding it down like a man. And the Instagram wasn't popular back then, so you could have been pop and bottle Stone. What made you? What made you say like so solid like that? Well, when you get married, man,
you take vows, right, you know what I'm saying. You gotta listen to those wedding vows when you when you when you do that, because you signing up for that and you you're taking those valves before God. So I take that serious. I'm not gonna stay in here and say, you know, to love to end up a text sicking for sicking for health, Richard for pol to depth do his part and didn't go do the opposite, you know what I'm saying. So I take that very serious and
I try to live up to it. What so you the whole time we don't have to answer this the whole time you have sex at all? I had sex with my wife. We had contusions. Okay, it was really from the beginning. Okay, when you got married, because you got married, and you know, we got married. Um, when she blew trail, we was getting married because we didn't think she was gonna blow. I didn't think she was gonna It was a bullshit case. And you know when
we she blew trail, we lost our money. We had the one and set up on the boat and all that we lost that, you know what I'm saying. So we want him getting married while she was locked up. Yeah, he lost the whole ship, you know what I mean. And we want him getting married while she was when she was locked up. But even though like in the beginning, you know the right and sounding we we didn't have conjigble business, we still was making it happen. And still
find you got married in jail. That might be the we got married. We got married over the phone at first, because they canceled the wedding. Remember when she blew, they remanded her. They let her go home. Clean up trip about them right here right there, boom. So we couldn't do nothing. So we we we are. It's time to paperwork in the court room. And then that night we did the three with the pastor and he married us

I'm gonna cally okay, do say oh Hennessey Hennessy okay, sorry man? Or funk flax case late. That's my brother, Allmatic or ready to die, I gotta go, ready to die Brooklyn. Yeah, I respect that you want to revolte to right, now in case y'all don't got this channel, make sure you're down Swiss piats of tempering opening the production on my project? Yeah, great, drugs great, hook me up? Oh my guys, cheers ye? Or for roll I'll go with Kanye. I'm going for roll Man Premre Pete Rock. Oh hell no, those my guy.
You gotta finish your shot. You gotta make Brooklyn proud. Baby. I guess so man at B Street across grooves, Um, that's hard and eat your eggs? Why bring um? I think I'm gonna crush Crove Man that block. This is this how he ended with all the quick time slot And I'm always interested to see how people answer this, because to me, sometimes this crush it is a complicated question and sometimes just it seems like there's no wrong
and it's no wrong. Loyalty or respect, loyalty m H. And I don't need to ask y because man, loyalty will enable you to show respect to your loved ones even when they're not around, even if they deceased, or even if they you know, I mean, even if they assent of the situation, you still you're still show that respect. So loyal to you really get both I agree. See,
it's either and it's not wrong. Was very complicated, as I tell you, a new fact Joe maybe almost twenty years new ups downs, you know, tax problems, no tax problems, rich rich rich rich, rich rich, whatever, whatever whatever. The time I've seen fact Joe the most miserable. Like it's when he was beefing with Remy because I know she's
her own boss. But where did that put you at that state of mind when they when they was beefing, because I just I just remember him, you know, he went through the Cuban ship, he went through the other ship. But it was the time that Remy was was going that Joe, because oft at the same time fifty was going that job. So where was you at in your mind state when when this happened? Um, at that time, I really didn't I really didn't know Joe what I'm saying.
So I really had no involvement in that, to be honest with you, you know me, it was something that was going on. I mean, I can't say and say I didn't know what was going on me. I've been witness to it, but I had no involvement and I had no opinion, and I just was like Damn, this is fucked up. I mean, Joe, Joe is a legend. I mean I grew up listening to Joe anyway. So to answer your question that I had, I had no involvement.
I never had met him at the time. So there's no discussions of like, you know, um, because I think she did this this record, right, I don't, um did she do this recor Nah? She might have set a couple, but I don't think it was just like a pen street going at each other. Now, she probably set a couple of lines or something like that. So it happens to you, and you and Joe's brothers now, so that. But you know, it's the past. It's a past. That's which which loves the past is what makes the future
so beautiful. You know what I'm saying. You can't appreciate the son unless the rain. Well I like the rain when I like the sign. So boom they have this fallout, it's public. Did you have anything to do with fixing it? Absolutely? Okay, I had a lot to do with fixing it. Because let's just be clear. After Ribby came home, we all want to remy on the record, right, I remember that that was the that was the thing. Well, everyone knew we had to deal with Pat Poole's No one had
a line on Remy. No there was it was no management, there was no we, No one knew nothing in the whole industry. So this was on you. You're you're you're almost for lack of a better turn from my man who just walked in. You were almost like Safari, like Nikki, like you understanding, well, well when me it happened by
default what I'm saying. What I'm saying, like, at one point in the industry, and to get to Nikki you had to go to s B And at one point when when Remy came home, there's the same thing with two the only people who knew how to get that Rimmy, we had to go through you. So I would say that to say, was that how because Joe Muston had to reach out to you. No, that's not what happened. Basic basically, basically the responsibility and you know, of somewhat
managing her career, I wouldn't say. I wouldn't say. I would say this basically when she caught the case and blew trial. You know, when you're going the kitchen and you turn the lights in the hood and all the roaches scatter. That's what happened. Everybody scattered, the whole team. Everybody went in a different when she Yeah, when she caught the case, because when you catch a case, you're in a bad light. So nobody want to be around you. Nobody want to sun what you really you know what
I'm saying. So everybody scattered. But when everybody in the process that everybody scattering, the turning their back on it was a lot of different things that needed to be handled, and she was behind the g wall, so she couldn't do nothing. So I was just was doing what I could do to help out, you know what I'm saying, because she was a good person. I mean, and I told he, I say, Yo, if you blow trail, we're still gonna get married. You know what I'm saying. She was.
She got mad at me when I said that, Like what you're getting mad at me? She's at nine, because you know, why would you say that? I said, Now, I'm just let you know I'm gonna be there for you. Um, So she blew trail. Everybody scared, everybody in a different direction. So I'm like, damn, I still gotta help her. Out, so I just by default I kind of became her manager in the beginning of the bid, so when she started coming home, people were just reaching out to me
to get it done. So that's why I kind of ended up in that position. And with Joe Na, she actually came to me. You know what I'm saying. She came to me. And this was something she never did because Rim is not really apologetic. She ain't that tite. And I'm saying she came to me on one of the visits and ship she was like, Yo, babe, what you're thinking. You know what I'm saying. I was thinking, I'm thinking about passing it up with Joe. You know
what I'm saying to me, I don't gotta ounce that. Hey, then my blood, I said, hell, yeah, you need to do that, I mean, and I promoted and I pushed her to do it, and she did it because at one point, like Joe was so mad at and the beef even trickled out that you weren't Joe having a fight, right, Yeah, But Joe, Joe was my daughter's godfather. Man. I love him so much, to be honest with you, and one of my favorite people in the world today. Man, so
I don't talk about that, man, just be honest. I love. The reason why I'm even speaking about that or even talking about it is because people are young kid as a young kid right now watching this interview, that can that can say, you know what, I had smoke would because you had honorable smoke. You ain't had no you had no dumb smoke. Yea honorable smoke. You ual standing about your wife, so you by default it's still it's still rapped in this situation. So I'm just saying this
for anybody who could watch it. It ain't about what happened. It's about the end result. And the end result is he is when I see y'all together with the like yo, this is yo yo, bro. Word the word is ban. Anybody who knows me to tell you have never been a dick ride or Joe is my god. Like that's my brother, like that, like like I fuss with him on another level, bro. Like the love that he showed me and my family and we showed it back. It is nothing fake about it, man. He's very much authentic.
You know what I'm saying. Even throughout me putting out all these projects this year, you know what I'm saying when I when I got you guys, but I just wanted to say that. The reason why I brought that up was just say that, you know, like when she got a little rough, I can hit Joe and he would be the Phil Jackson. You dude, just pap through that and know what I'm saying. No hating ship nothing. I mean, Joe is one of the only people I know that I love to see others win. That ship
is red man. So are you writing a wrap right now? Come you put on twelve. That's very interesting that you said that, because word is bant. That's how I create, bro, Like you would say some ship, some fly shit and I already yeah, I'll flip it and I hold it for later. You know what I'm saying. So, so you
don't need to be the voice memo. To be honest with you now that I'm a little older, Yeah, when I was younger then in my brain, like when Big said that, everybody starts saying all right, But for me, that ship was my reality. Like I didn't need to write because I loved it so much. It wasn't my choice. Stop the lyrical bar ship that you're doing writing it down? Nah, I didn't need to bro I'm gonna tell you why. I'm gonna tell you why on the right stop you
can you write that down? Let me explain. I idolized niggas who could write. I look up to y'all because if I sit here with a pendent paper, I might rap about the fucking pen of paper, you know what I'm saying. So I create p Yeah, I might rap about that ship. You might hear me rapping about the paper I create throughout the course of my day, throughout
my experiences. I take that ship in and I regurgitated through the rat but holding that memory as I think where he's really when you love it so much, you're going to remember it. I love this ship, so you know, I mean, you need this smoke some weed you so you just you keep these memories, just like like if a bar strike you right now, because I listen, I
who the funds did? I had dinner with Yane. Every time someone said something that's just going like this, he was like, I'm looking like the time about because people say the doping ship, but they don't know it, you know what I'm saying. So me as an artist, I'm like, oh, this just said such as such. I'm using that later. You don't even know what he just said. He just gave me a ball soro some ship for twelve fucking EPs. Yes, man, man,
I watched you. I want to do my dude Denners just on um abro and you said you did it through tune Call. This is what new artists. Can you explaining to new artists with tune Core? Is because I got a tune call account. It's not working out for me. I see you talk about tune call. Camera's on here talking about tune Core. Can you explain to new artists coming up right now that's trying to get out there in Memphis, there in Oklahoma, they're in Ohio. They don't
know how to get to New York. They can't afford to get to New York. And one thing, did you do a deal directly with the company tune Core? Is it like anybody else is doing a tune core with that in my institute? Okay, Artists, if you're drowning in the in the Hudson River, mrs any river, ocean, whatever, tune calls your life raft. You know what I'm saying. That's the best way I could describe it. Remember, I had at one point five me not a deal, he
said it earlier. You know what I'm saying. One point five my job. Yes, my first deal was one point five million. Yes, Um, worst mistake in my life taking that deal. But UM, let me say this. Let me say this. When I lost my deal, When I lost my deal and the world turned thing back on me, tune Cored was there. And tune Cored basically, all these different distributors that you might sign with, they're going to take a percentage of the money you make. Tune Cored
doesn't do that. They only charge you to upload the music. So once you upload the music, the prophet is all yours, my friend, and you're on all the digital streaming platforms. So when I said I was going to do an album every month, I was actually dealing with a distributor. And he turned this back on me. He said, I ain't gonna put him on Blast, not Empire. I deal with Empire in the past before too. But tune cord is better than all that. I know. I know, man,
I know, man, this is your therapy. He owe me money, he owe me money, So I ain't gonna ain't gonn shoot on them. Yeah, I get my money, come back. I shoot on what I'm saying helusive. Now this this this guy, this guy is very elusive. So I'm gonna wait to catch him and get my money. And then I shoot on elusive means I'm trying to catch you. I can't. I can't get my hands on you know, you're grabbing by the shirt and they slip out their shirt like he's one of them. Ain't gonna say you
know what I'm saying. But um so yeah, everybody turned it back on me. And when I said I was gonna do an album each month, this guy was like, Yo, you're overlapping yourself and it's not going to world. You can't put out another album next month. And like right now, I got good problems, like I gotta wreckord with Fabulous You and Jamain Duprie. But at the same time, I got a wreck it with Rick Ross. At the same time, I got a record with a Little Way to Change
Busting Rounds my Wife, produced by Timberland. I got three records. I got I got three regulars. That one DJ is like your all these ships is high. I don't know which want to play, you know what I'm saying. So but this is what he was kind of saying. He was saying, you want, but I'm like, yo, I can't follow the industry way of releasing music because the ship don't work for me. Like, that's what I want new artists to understand. When you look at these artists that's uh,
mainstream yea, all new artists. This is what I want you to understand. When you look at these mainstream artists out here and there, you know, they're releasing their music, they're promoting their music, they're doing the super Bowl, and they're doing all the spectaculars, ship all of these, you know, different ways of marketing their music, and you want to be like dumb or whatever you inspire to be or whatever, you cannot follow them because that doesn't work for you.
The industry format and the industry way of releasing music, it didn't work for me at all. So I said to myself, you know what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna create my own format, in my own pattern, in my own way of releasing music. I'm gonna drop an album every month. And everybody told me, don't do it. This it ain't gonna work. But guess what, it was the best thing I ever did in my life. Explain to the artists, because this is this is the way to the support. This is for the kid that is dopest
fun in his mama's house. Right, So why this is this is the best thing I ever did, because I don't have to wait for no label. You know what I'm saying to approve my music when I put it out, you know, putting it through tune Core. Also, um, I get my money every that's working on that. That's what I'm let me tell you something, artists, every single Monday of two thousand and twenty one, I had to check waiting from me every month from tune Core because I
put out so much music and it reacted. The people embraced it. So when you when you when you're trying to put out an album once a year, the big shots, the big dogs could do that. You're not a big dog. You gotta work way harder than them, and you gotta tell a certain extent. You gotta outwork them. You know what I'm saying. Buster called me and said, your path you outworked everybody this year. You know what I mean.
But you gotta do that if you want to eat and you want to be successful, because let's be honest, a year ago from now, they wasn't talking about my music like how they're talking about it or even considering how they are now. But by the grace of God, I was so consistent that they have no choice but to acknowledge my my work, you know what I'm saying. So you know what I mean. Doing that was the best thing I did. Bro. I don't even know how to describe it. But tune core is the way that
you can do it at your own discretion. You can say, all right, my album is finished, I want to put it on the digital platforms. You uploaded the tune call, you paid a little ten dollars or whatever. Yeah, that's it. Everybody that buy your music, all that money come to you. I mean, and I made a lot of money. And I imagine putting out so many joints. It's like with streaming now compounds like that's that's where it's positive, because streaming, it's like you got all this catalog now, right, you
build up catalog and you actually you get into streaming. Now. The streaming, Let's be honest, if you were selling records back in the days, they didn't have streaming, and then they're streaming. You never sew no records, bro, It's ahole different way of releasing me. You never streamed before. So for me, when I started doing that, I actually started streaming now. I was just never streaming, and so I did this ship to pay attention. So it was a
great thing. It was the best thing. Anybody told me don't do. Even my wife, you don't release an album marvery month just down the third. She tried to stop me, you know what I'm saying, And she hated me last year when I did that ship because I was so focus. That's actually true, told me, don't do reggae. Don't do it this time. You was joking when you said doing it, rather said don't do it. But yeah, and you proved them wrong. I didn't. I didn't mean to because I
love them. Yeah, I put them wrong. Lets but jeez, that was That was dope. That that was really thank you man. Shout out to all the artists who've seen what I was doing man and decided to be a part of it. Like I started feeling like I was creating my own platform because big dogs wanted to be a part of Ship. And when I reached out, it was no resistance. I mean shout out the little wing. Let's let's stay right there for stout. Um, Wayne, not only did the record, yea, the videos come on and
see what I'm saying. That was hard to see what I'm saying. That's hard that you know what it is? Man? Like this iss outside? Now you sit back right and every question you asked me earlier, you see what I said. I said, Oh New York, I'm going to New York. I'm going in Brooklyn, I represent. But when you come up and you look up to these guys and you come in the game and you you winning, and they don't embrace you, but you got a guy from out of town, a whole another region embrace you and show love.
Not only do the record, do the video, because that's that's that's a statement. It's a statement, and it says a lot as to why I was city got pushed to the back burning in this thing because a lot of people don't like to see others win. But just a little Wayne Man, solid dude, man, how it happening? Um? Well, I always knew of your always knew. I always knew always because when he was when he's gonna write a sale, mcman hit slay up and it was like yo, yo
Wayne fu pat Man with alphabetical slaughter. It was a song I hapen. I broke down the album. Yeah we're about to go there. He was like, Yo, Wayne, funk with him, heavy man, like you know what I'm saying this that the third I was like, work, I'll be honest with you. I try to try to visit him. What I'm saying, I couldn't do it though, I mean, but I always knew that he fun with me. You couldn't do it because you couldn't get there, or because I went to the island. I'm keeping the ball. It
wasn't right. It was I wasn't on the less. I didn't get in. What I'm saying, I believe you believe I'm from the sidewalk and they can tell you Wayne rock with you. You need to go check that that's real. Ship that I went and try to chop it up with him. I didn't. That didn't work out. I didn't even tell I never got a chance to tell him that. Um when I went there, Drake was going in to see him. Actually, I've seen Drake in the visiting going through or they pushed you back for humble. They ain't
pushed me back away. They pushed me back. But you know what, it didn't. It didn't work out. But you know, I always knew he funk with me or just off of that. So when I started doing the monthly projects, I said, Yo, man, I just want to get artists on these projects that I respect, and Wayne is and I respect. I reached out to him and worked his bond. He hit me right back, Broo. I sent him to joint. One night. I'm laying in the bed, my wife sleep,
the baby's sleep. I'm looking through my email. I'm like, what is this. I turned the ship on. It's little Wayne. I jumped out the bed. I started dancing in the crib. I'm hearing the Wayne. But you know what I'm saying, I'm like, Wow, this nigga did this ship that quick. I'm talking, was quick, bro I was happy. He's solid, solid dude. Man. Everything he said he was gonna do, he did it. Never faked the jack, never pump faked.
All right. So I'm an artist, So I know once you get diverse, we all for like DJ Collin, Right, I'm an artist. I know that's one part of the inquiry, right, getting the vote, right, that's the fact. But then the lex part is getting it clear and then getting the video clear. So what was that process? I told you earlier. Man, I built my own model of releasing music. So I'm
releasing every thirty days. Okay, So once you and you need signations from these artists, I mean, eventually you gotta you gotta do it that, you gotta do the business. So I got my guy in on the business side. He you know, I just got the Wayne Verse. We need to handle it. He's handling it. I'm communicating with Mac main what I'm saying. We're putting everything together to make sure everything is right. Saying with Ross, But I gotta who are fast now? Because this got to come
out on the thirty feet every month. I really can't wait for nobody, you know what I'm saying. So I'm working at this is the pace I'm working at. So as I'm getting versus the one every month, thirty one to last day every month, I'm dropping regardless of home or what what did you do in February the last day of that month? Back history money. So so because
this is this is very very important for artists. Most artists think because they got money and and and they can pay for uh a wait in verse, right, yeah, but money can't buy you love. Yeah yeah, yeah. But what they don't understand is this, these signatures, this is this. Yeah. You gotta you gotta clear it. You gotta get you gotta get clearings. You gotta have good graces. And what I'm saying because I listen, I'm gonna tell you why
I looked up with my Wayne record. I had a record with Rain and Wayne did the same thing with me. Just send it right back to me boom and went to the video. Sean Pectos answer the only show the instant. What's up man? Oh Ship? What does that we I'm live on drink Chance by the way, just just kid, what's up? Bro? What's good? My god? Man Ship chopping it up everybody, great man, just working man, trying to
make it happen, no doubt you know it. Bro yea whatever niggas is under those stars, boy, y'all look good boy? What CC man, Come on, man, you ain't come on my show yet. You lost Weyne and changed on niggas. Come on, man, come on man, pull up on us. CC. It's just I just watched your documentary again. Come on, come on, pull up on us, man, come in on me. You gotta have some old alright, no problem, alright, my brother alright, cool, no problem. Look look my brother. Yeah,
I'm sorry, Pap. We asked our phone during was very into that fight was the topic. We gotta gottaber. So what happened was I didn't know that. So I was throwing independent music and I wasn't getting no signatures. You just put it out. I was just putting it out. But with Wayne, they straightened me up. With Wayne. When I chopped the rain one, who Who's day? Universal? Everyone? They straightened me right up. But it was lucky because Birdman had lived in my building at the time. But
Birdman also checked me. Say hey, played boy, you want a favor from me? You don't have them folks called me. I charged them folks. So I realized I couldn't have anybody called anybody from Rayne Camp other than me. That's the secret though, that's the shipper. That's an artist. We're blowing up right now. Relationship because niggers like us you can have a team. You know that. It goes back
to what I was saying earlier. What works for these niggas don't work for like me, when I reached out the artist myself and I get ship done, then I passing to the team what I'm saying it. But when you got people reaching out, he's gonna he's gonna bang them and they're gonna call you and say, you know he said this much. I just saw the sticker, like I saw the sticker in the gym and he was like he stepped to me like because saying burn man.
It's like, you know he hate at oh Like it was me one on one and he was like, play boy, I don't know why I keep getting played boy. Hate play man. He's like, I got you playing boy if I was like, damn, I got to get his nigger too, Jesus done. Ready that book wrong, I'm telling you. And he's a good nigga. So I haven't seen him in a while. But picking you up her man, So but now I haven't that with that rain the way that you took about now now it's back man, but still there.
But now because this is a lot of people should understand about you and bust the rhyme situation and Wayne and Baby situation is once they kind of found out the discrepancies both kind of made it right right, like after whatever Wayne was beaten with baby and whatever. They made it right and they moved on. And I remember like you and Buster kind of bumping heads. I don't I don't know what it was because I was. It was just an industry, you know, talk not Me and
Bus never had a problem busting Slay. They spared a lot. They spared a lot, but that but still shopping. Still, That's just what it was. It was just sparing with them. They love each other. Later on, I'm saying they spared, so you were just called in between because that's what. Yeah, we never had Me and Bus never had a shooting. Man. Really, I mean Bus the guy that brought me out on stage. Man, and the crowd started screaming, and I was looking around,
like who here's screaming for? You know, it was me. I was used to being a regular nigga at the time. I mean, he bust to change my life. Man, that's my big brother. So we never had a problem. But you know, I mean him and my brother Slay, they just spared a lot. That's how they are too strong headed niggas. You was at the video shooting, Yeah, I was that touching the video that changed my life. Man, video on the song that I never forget it. Break
it down, sir. I'm just saying that the record being on the record, that record, man, I couldn't go to the more no more. I went from then on the corner hustling and doing jux this to being a famous person off that record. What I mean, I had a name for myself. That's what got me on the record. But that record changed my life. Man, I can't lie to you. And it's crazy because when me and my man went to the studious to call me, I fell asleep. I was. I was so tired. He said, Yo, you
gotta get to get on this song right head. I put the beat on. I fell asleep in the studio, fell asleep right there, the biggest record in my life. I fell asleep. They woke me up, and my man all right here he could tell you. I woke up. I went right in the book. I wrote that that verse of my sleep, Yo, man, you gotta stop oh in my life, yo. He he never lied. I wrote
that verse. Thats too perfect. Let's just keep it the story verse five in my sleep, bro, Really, I knocked out in the studio woke up when writing the booth, because that's what all right, this is why your story sounds a little crazy. They used to say, that's what Big used to do. See what I'm saying. They used to say. Big used to go like this, close his eyes and then like twenty minutes later he just go on the booth. So did you know that I didn't
hear that one. I did hear that Big thing right, Well, he's the first one before j Jar, the first one who who said that it became cool once Big said it. Yeah, and for me, I was like, oh, this is cool. This is what I really This described to people like, all right, describe to not writing means listen, remember this is what you gotta understand. For me, I can't speak for Big. For me, I'm such a fiend. It comes to the hip hop. I love this ship so much that if I because you don't. You only write it
down to remember it. You created first in your head before you write. When you're writing, and you set him with the pin the paper, you think of the ship and you write it then, so you don't forget. I don't need to put it down so I don't forget. I'm not going to flee. I'm not going, I used to my wife smoked me out. What I'm saying. You don't have to be tiring my lungs. You're You're gonna come back home at least Keys and Kanye West smoke. Wow. Look, I look up to the guys who right, man, Because
I can't write it. I can't write if I wanted to, I can't write. So wait, wait, but hold up. But when you spit it from memory? Is that with flow the way you're gonna flow it. I can't let you get away with that. Everything, everything you already hate. I hate a little bit you said. I can't You didn't start not writing down. You have to start right here. That's when I realized, if I keep holding this pen in this paper, I'm going to wrap about this penning
this paper. There's been a lot of runs. I realized I need to wrap throughout the course of my day so I can wrap about different ships through my experience. He just mattered, you don't have a notepad throughout the course of your day. And nowadays, I kept like I said, I kept were worked with for like a week and everything that was dope that that Kanye just heard, he just kept voice open there See he's smart though he taking notes. Man, he's drown in life experience, isn't putting
his music. He's smart. You do that with your with your brain. Yeah, I do that. I make sure I like should that happened? And just be so, you know, I mean, but talent moment, that's unique. Not everybody could do that. Well, I'm blessed man, I get the credit. I mean anyway, blessed many holy ship now. But you know what, you know what it was to putting out twelve albums in one year? You know how you got niggas that run down? It says EPs? Is it actually
its albums? Because the album is uh I think seven no more seven more? And the eight tracks? Okay, eight tracks? You know what I mean. But let me say this though, Google is labor to the EPs though when I Google it, Oh, they gotta get this ship right. But his albums. But let me let me say this though. You know how the niggas run down, and you know remember saying put me on bro, why you I'm trying to rap, I'm trying to do this. You know, we're putting out twelve
albums in the year. Did for me? They got all them niggas out of my face because let me explain it, right, So me, I've been in the game for a while. He thinks it's fueling, But let me tell you, right, I've been in the game for a while. Right, I had a million out of deal, right, I told overseas. I mean I did records with Nori, you know, I mean records with NAS, records with all these great people.
And I'm really working hard, hard enough to release obs seventies of my songs in one year, twelve albums in one year. And you and what I turned the number when they come to me with the handout? Ship? How many your wrap, how many songs you put out? How many albums you put out? So I shouldn't be out working you. So if I might working you, that mean you're not hungry. I don't even want to hear from you. They liminated pretty much everybody. Yeah, because you wanted me.
I'm going hard like I want this. So if you're not working as hard as me or more, don't come to me for that hand out. I owe you something ship, that entitlement ship. I don't want to hear that. But we put out how many episodes you put out a year. We're in the same league. We're in the same league out working over here. But listen back, that ship you did is amazing that the just I'm drunk already and I went to I went to happy on the shot. You ain't gonna do that. You went to have you
on the shop the Japanese whiskey. This is that fly shall know what I'm saying. I'm hitting a little southing. Do say you do? Oh yeah? Hit it? H yeah, yo, m hmm, it's cool. That was not a good thing. Papoos vetter bidden. Niggas can't do what you just did. Niggas have been out. I can't do what you did. That's why we all sat back and was like, wait a minute, that's just something different. And we thought, I'm gonna be honest this. I'm part of a couple of
group chats. People thought you was gonna miss a month, sir, you can't remember that runs Yeah, waiting they're waiting my luck. Yeah, I was watching too. Now. I wasn't gonna let up. Bro. Even if you under the weather, some somebody passed away, you know, something happened. You gotta keep going process. When you recording January's album, is they already recorded in December. Um, that's what I should have did. That's why I funked up at in the beginning, I stopped, Man, you didn't
make January. I'm gonna tell you how I first, he I'm gonna tell you that's too crazy because for a couple of years, right, I've been saying, yo, next year, I'm dropping the album every month, and the next thing I know, it's February. I ain't dropped ship. So this month I said, damn, I'm dropping the album a month this year. But what I should have did was what he said. I should have didn't January and December. I
didn't do that. That's why each project had to drop on the last day each month, because I didn't have ship, so I used the month. I used the thirty days to create. So when I dropped on January thirty one, I'm like, I'm at the finish nine. I'm exhausted, I'm out of breath, I'm sweating, I'm wiping the smell with the tower. When I'm like, right, I got some time. February the last's the shortest money of the year, The last day February, Okay, I gotta do it. Again. Let's
go March, same ship. I'm creating this ship as I go along. I didn't November in one day. Yo. As the year progressed, I got better. I got so crazy with it because it's like Floyd Mayweather doing punches. You know what I'm saying. Wait a minute, man, Okay, you just start banking albums like we do podcasts. Probably just called the album's November. Yeah, January. Each one was typed the current month on the last day. That was the title the album. Each album was typing after the current month.
That was part of my my whole concept. Also very cocky, sir. I don't ever want to come across like that, because I was cocky when I was young man, and I grew out of that ship, you know. I mean, I always try to stay humble, So I hope I ain't coming across cocky. No, no, in a respectful way. Can
we open another bottle? Way? I feel like it's warranted, right, I'm ready because we got to make sure that you have no problem the airport and we, like I said, our show was about giving people their flowers and appreciate. I got my flowers and pat you know, I'm gonna tell you the truth. Appreciate this shower. Soon as we heard that we were booking you, I went and I listened, and I said, damn, bro I said, that might have been paps problem, not that he was blackballed. Is that lyrically?
You actually you said that you actually yeah, you're actually in all right, Brooklyn. You actually like I'm saying this with all love like you might be in year eight with your bass at that. Man, Now, for real, I'm saying this like like like pull or something, sir, you know what arresting? I dumbed it, I called me mann. I dumbed it down to dumbed down. That's how I started getting more features. Man. I kind of realized that no cocky ship, I said, damn man, nobody wanna do
songs with me? Man, I said, you know what? And and then I was so hip hop, little ship. I was so hip hop, and I was so young minded and noticed, I said, I was so hip hop. If I'm doing a song with you, I'm I'm trying gonna lie, I'm trying gonna in. I mean, but as you get older, you start to learn how to make music. It's not about having the best songs. It's about having the best song.
So if I do a song with you oplous about having the best chemistry, Yes, I would do ship like you know, I mean, let's go in the studio together, or you know I mean, um, I wouldn't send you my verse. Now I do it verse real quick, and I send you my verse. Here take my verse. Man. I want you to I want you to kill me on this verse because when you when you put in the effort to kill me, that's gonna make it a better record. People. You know what I'm saying. So as
you get older, you learned. And when I started learning that and started doing that, I was able to get more features. I'm I'm featuring with people I never feat you with in my life right now because we started with a little Wayne. Now, let's you said you had a list. Let's let's le's let's tell the list. You said, Little Wayne. Yeah, Little Wayne, listen on these monthly projects. I got Little Wayne. I got Fabulous. I got Fabulous. I've been living in Brooklyn my whole life. I've never
had a song with Fabulous. A differentigger. I'm saying it's a different nigger though. I got Rick Ross, I got two chains, I got busted rounds, I got my wife. I'm sorry because I feel like we should make noise for every one of those guests. So let's start all over. Let's start over because you Rick Ross, fabulous, rimy mob, bust the rom I said, Rick Ross, Right, Anthony Hamilton, two chas ty Boy, Swiss Meats Swiss me Timberlin the game.
I can keep going, no, no, no, no, hold on, crook it out, got damn it, I'm saying, jack Man loves Professor Rob. I can keep going if y'all want me. Man, No, I ain't got damn Ross. I think a smoke this so many great people, man, I was able to work with this year. Bro on my label Honorable Records Distributed Records, and you should start out with that saying that. So my bad, Honorable Records is the name of my label.
It's the new death for all honor before money distributing. Yeah, like this is the new CEO of tune Cord right now. You're gonna get your money. One thing. You know you're gonna get your money. So you never worked with a one or um uh my man, Ghazi uhi, I never worked with the one I worked with Ghazi. You know what I'm saying, but Gazi, it's kind of hard to work with Ghazi really, And I've talked to other people
and they said the same. I don't want to talk bad about it, you know what I'm saying, but it's difficult to me as an artist when this is your bread and butter and you don't really have no solid communication with your record label a distributor. Communication is key, and guys, he has it his to be a felling
to communicate properly. And I know a lot of artists who watched this, they like this right on path And I'm saying because is a fact, bro Really Yeah, yeah, I've talked to the other other artists and that's the issue. And for me, I couldn't do that. I can't. I can't do that. I can't. I need to communicate like this is how I'm feeding my family. I mean, you can't, you know? So that was that? So yeah, because you know, guy, see my man, I hoped him out with Fat Joe
and they made a lot of money to go. Yeah, I mean, you know, money is good. Money is good. Also squashed the people Fat Joe and jay Z. I don't know if you know that. I remember that I remember on the record and the remix, he shouts first, like hyeah, but I was supposed to get the shout out first, like I remember. That was a moment though. Yeah, listen to me. I want to say. I just wanna say this man, what you've done here, that's please. I salute you. Brook at that. Look at this getting money.
That's my sun over there coming here and think with the wild over there. That's right on to Let's up when you see what I said when I sat down, I sit in Man, this is a real production, like doing them TV shows and ship me from VH one. I went this real solid production. I know what the real production is. Come here and I see your brothers setting up. I see everything. I just want to salute y'all. I wish I had another one to give your flowers.
What you're doing this ship. You made a whole transition from doing the rap SHP to this ship, and then you got anybody following you. So salute everybody doing podcasts now, that's just like everybody doing reggae thrown too. Let's be clear, It'll be clear. Anybody they realized old ship. You want to go to. You want to go to the cocobata too. That's nice man, Yeah, yeah, not real ship man a
path man. That's again man again man, like I think, I think, because what do you what do you consider is your biggest record that you was on that I was on my biggest record. I'm gonna say I thought I was gonna stop. Remix featuring and two change busting rhymes, red me a Little Wayne, goddamn it out right now on all digital platforms. Wait, wait, wait, my new record,
my new single, It's cold. Thought I was gonna stop featuring two Chains busting rhymes, Little Wayne Rey produced by No He did the original and he's doing a remix. So we got the video now. I got two million views in the first two days. That's that's big shout with my brother Will seeing Tanna Big Tree. He treat He entertainment got here. That's little did anything the videos out. We did two million views first two days. I know y'all rappers do a billion views, but for me, that's
a good look. I'm from Brooklyn. Sidewalk is different. I'm a ray bridge between Happen Sin Severatober. That's a good look for me. This is mean, Like if you would google me and ifs biggest arguments that's consistent on this show. It's just one argument. It should have been on Quick Time, which we already established. I said major or independent, that's really what it is. But you said earlier I had one point five million dollars deal. It's the worst worst
mistake of my life. Man, Why would you say that? The worst thing I ever did was took that deal with you and you had Chris Light here around at that time. Rest in piece of Chris, like, explain this, sir, worst mistake I ever made in my life. Okay, listen, listen, young up and coming artists. I don't know what he's about to say, but let's just take the facts of what what is? What is about to be articulated. He said he had one point five million dollar deal, but
let's be yeah, the deal, it's not marketing. They had nothing to do with the one point. Basically we all know that. Okay, you got a kid from Brooklyn, right, got a pas head kid from Brooklyn. What I'm saying from the sidewalk, I don't wait that on my sleeve. As you see, I promote black love positivity, but I'm tougher than a lot of these nigs. Anyway, I come from Brooklyn, from the sidewalk, and he makes it into the music business. Right he's grinding he doesn't have a
record deal. This is me I'm talking about. I'm talking person is following. This kid's narrating his story. This kid is from Brooklyn. Everybody's rooted for him. Coincidentally, this is the same people that knew him before he signed the deal with case Leave, but they're rooted for him now. It's cool, embraced the love. I'm working hard. I'm building up a bus. I gained that. I'm the radio now, I'm doing tours. I'm doing toys. I'm performing from state
to state every other day. I'm releasing music on a constant basis. This ship goes on from oh fod to oh seven. I've never had a record deal all that time, everybody thought, oh, pappers up, pappish. I never had a record deal. I was getting shown money, I was getting featured money, and I was touring. Now I signed a record deal in two thousand and seven, so basically I
was independent that whole time, getting money. Once I signed the record deal, you have people telling you, have individuals in white shirts and suits telling you Oh, you don't need to make that record like that. You need to make it like this. I los I lost Job Records. I lost all creative control at that point. Let's let's be particular. Who is is the CEO? Is Barry White? This guy, this guy from Job Records. He's an asshole. What's his name? He goes by the name with Jeff Finster.
He's the devil singing himself. I'm gonna put him out there. Okay, you ever heard of this guy? Know? What is his name? Jeff Finster? No, but let's talk about this. This dude is This dude is the worst guy you ever wanted media life. I hope he's watching because I'm still here. I'm still alive, and you wanted me that getting money. You try to ruin my life. I'm still getting money, my family still eating, and I live in a mansion in New Jersey. So you didn't stop nothing. I'm trying
to make some more stock. You know, you try to in my you try to in my career. You know you hated on me. You did everything you could think of. But I don't blame I don't blame you for that, brother, I don't blame you. So what I'm saying what happened. Basically, this guy lied, This gout lied myself and my brother Kate slay Man. Who changed my life? Who who the only one that gave me an opportunity to do this to live by my dream? My brother Kate slay He
gave a lot of people that we need your stream. Myself, myself and my brother Kate slay We signed that. Y'all records we had a bit in war numerous record lay who was what interested in signing me at the time. I told you I sat down with Nis. He was going to depth chair with jay Z. He wanted me to come over there. Um Atlantic you talk about. JO Records was on the same blocks Violator at that time. A bunch of different record labels were having a bit in war for me at this time, this is the
dream come true for me. Don't let me say here A lot of you, a lot of guys come up here in the rap. I'm gonna hustler and the rap. I'm a gangster, I'm a rapper. I'm embracing it. I'm saying I wasn't having this, you know what I'm saying. So I was happy to be having this moment you know what I'm saying, And um, it was a bit in war. A lot of different labels wanted to sign me, so it just so happens. I linked up with Bust the Rhymes, who had the relationship with Chris. Lady introduced
me to Chris. Chris signed me the Violator. Chris is the past. But you gotta break down with what was you violated management? Street Sweeper was entertainment violated management Busting Rhymes in case Slave did a joint feature. So now street Sweeper Slash Flip more. You understand I'm saying. But now my own boss, so it's even better for me. Now we're going back. Let's go back. So now I signed with Violator. I'm sorry I didn't sign with you. Don't sign a management, you would be a dummy. I
link up with Violator. We're working. So now I got this spitting wall and seven hundred thousand off overhead, four hundred thousand from Niles over here. He's going to deaf Jam, which Casey wasn't with my brother, and I trust him. You know what I'm saying, Um, job comes in at one point five million. Alright, it's not that we money hungry. Our brother Chris Likedy is the president of that job. We're like, Chris was the president, alright, So we're like,
it's a no brainer, Chris the president. We go to live, we go to job, we go to job. We look on the internet. A week later, Chris is not the president no more? What the ch You couldn't get inside of information? What's going on? What you You're not the president no more? This is where coming off. She is kind of where the restarted that. So we're like, damn, Chris is not the president. Okay, we rolled them with the punches. He's give an explanation. I'm still I'm still
going to communicate. This is where he brings this devil in by the name of Jeff Fenster. He's going to be handling on your project now. So just to summarize it with this dickhead, did I hate to talk like this? Man? I try to be positive. Man, you gotta let it go for right right in therapeutic So we're doing records, right. So we're in the meeting and I'm playing all of my records and me and Slay are like, all right, these are the three records. We think it can be singles.
So this guy's like, okay, I'm gonna play all three records for the owner of the label who signed me, which was the reason why anybody the label was mad. What that was? That very right? So Barry White and Peter Theter was the two bosses that job. When I signed, they flew me out and the guy told me my face, I signed you because my son is a fan of a lot Barby. This is why he signed me. This is why all the workers at the label was mad because I didn't come through none of them. I went
straight to their boss. They hated my guts at the label. What I'm saying so this is real ship. I can't make this up if I tried. So all these niggers at the label is mad. What I'm saying because I I donna throw a couple of these things on the bus. I ain't gonna do it. Everybody at the labels, every rat the label, they feel some type of way. He's on your left shoulder when you're right so check it out. So check it, check it. I'm on Job Records. Now. You gotta remember this is an R and B label,
So at that time, nor even know the formula. You put your ship out, you get on beat nigger you out of here. You're going to the moon. Who everybody's on the label? Chris Brown, t pay Kelly, Thank God, I ain't do that one. Um. You know what I'm saying. I keep going and I can keep going to a lot them beat niggers on this label. I'm on the label, my deal one point five million. So what they're doing is they're mad because I signed directly to their balls.
They're blocking on the arm beat niggers off my project. I'm talking on beat niggas about doing features and they're blocking them. This is the beginning of your black balling. Yeah, he don't think it's real. Tell them I lived this ship. So they're blocking me. They're blocking on niggers off my project. I'm like, damn, this is funked up, you know what I'm saying. So this guy, Jeff Fenster, me and me and my brother came slid in the meet and we
played the three singles. He's like, Okay, I'm gonna take these three singles. I'm gonna play them for the owner of the label so we can push one out there. I mean one of them. We wanted to get Snoop on what Snoop got on shout to my brother Snoop Dog, he got my first single. UM. So he comes back to us, this guy Jeff Fenster, who fucking we you know, got this illegitimate morefucker about default because Chris Likedy is no longer the president. He comes he's the president at
this point. This guy this I don't know what he is, what the title of this n don't let me call him what I want to call him. So he comes back to us and he's like, yo, I played the records for um the owner of the label, and this is the one he likes. And we like, damn you sure? Okay, So this is the single. The single go out just so happy. It's sucking. UM, I think it's banging out featuring Snoop Dog. We had another one that was more
commercial called fitting head Low. So we had the label one day and we see the owner the label and we're like, yo, you know, we're glad you like the record. He's like, were glad you like the records? He's like, we're records only hear one record. M So this motherfucker lie about playing the music for the owner because he wanted the record to come out that he wanted to come out. It's not even that he wanted the record
to come out. He wanted to pay Snoop Dog so he could get kicked back, which was seventy thod dollars. You understand what I'm saying. This is the function, this, this is why. This is what I'm saying. What I'm saying to you, this is what he did. So he lied about playing the records to the owner of the label. Then he chose a record which he can overcharge my budget for because none of them was able to take a penny on my budget, which is why the he was mad. He lied about that. Whatever he did, he
did the fun Ship. Now we see the owner label, we probably found out he didn't even play the music for the Nigger. The single was out already, so before they find out he did the funx Ship. He got me off the label real quick. What I'm saying. And when you say got it from label, that's like the
famous thing where people say that you got dropped, got dropped. Well, they couldn't drop me like a bad They dropped me, but they couldn't drive me like a bad habit because me and Case negotiated the deal with we keep the one point five basic noise. You got dropped the back fence, right, you know what I'm saying. So we got off. We got off the label. Man, I hope I'm not saying too much good. This is what. This is what this weekend. This is what happened. If anything, I'm gonna tell you something.
As an artist, when you if I do a song with you, you do a song with me, I want to want my fans to funk with you. I want my your fans to fun with me. So assisially, this is what this is. This is the first time I ever traded fans. Like every time I did a record with a person, I want to day fans. The only time I ever got their fans. This is being honest. That's what features are. And you think about Kelly. When I did a record Kelly, Yeah, look, my only record
IVE ever did with jay Z is what Kelly? You know? I said, all of my core fans who follow me, I sent Kelly Cure. This is for my core fans who bought my music every morning. I sent them kill you. I sent them kill and him and his luke Um minions whatever you call they played games. But I ain't really mad at them because they was under the influence of the you know what I'm saying. But whatever, man, you went right over my head. You said the Cure. I had a record called Cure that eventually every cob
I do did it. This ship is crazy. That's better. I want you to hear it. Man, Nobody at the time, I'm the hottest thing in the world. I dealt want fight one point five millions, keep talking about it's out of here at that time, that that that time, at that time time. That's by the way, he's done a molested at this time when trying he's a molesta. But nobody knows, alright, everybody, but unfortunately, so this is the time. So you you you calling your label to try to
get all on the record. You're calling your able to try to get on I'm on the label with these guys, we label weights. Who is it our Kelly? It's all Kelly Teeth paying Paine Well, I sun the tea pain think I can I can own that that was what happened with t pay sir, because I can see it in your face. Something happen when I went when I went to the tea paying party. So we can lock the deal win for him to do the record. Somebody
got beat up. You know what I'm saying. I ain't gonna talk too much about that, but that was my fault. They have more timberlance, like white t. Paine was the only guy on the label who was going to do a record with me eventually at that time. Know what I'm saying. I was told when I first signed to the label that Chris Brown expressed that he would do a record with me, but they kept him away from me because they was hating on me. To know what
I'm saying, This is pre Weanna. Yeah, this is back then. You know what I'm saying, So before I mean, but thank god, I'm in a great space now and I got my new single. I thought I was gonna stop featuring two change with me my bust to see this and be like, he's been up. I'm in a great space, man. But this is therapeutic. Yeah, the stuff that people can learn from, that's really at the end of the day.
People can learn from all these experiences got you. And by the way, look this is what's his name of this watch Friday right down to the bar, Telly and Time, Tolly and twine, Twine. This is a black old watch company. Yeah, it's a black watch them during our bail Great dude, what you say? I met them during our basil event and just met them. They want to collaborate with drink Champs. They send over some watches for both of us. You got the same watch, the same watch. You couldn't put
it on today. So for special occasions that were classy watch, we gotta get you. You gotta get you back into watches. We gotta get you. Yeah, I see you back in the days. It was Julie. That was back in the day. You don't want to buy jury want to buy nothing. Getting money though you're getting He's getting that money, not me. We need to upgrade something about your man always like yo, My man, always like yo. Make sure you cool him Djen, He don't like man an. He's a legend. But let's
just rest this because the timely wine. This is fine. They know what they know. My heart is in the right place. Really and great dudes, uh they say, the only the only I think black owned luxury watch companies. This is five bands. Yeah, from what they told them, this is five ship fighter yeah, black owned. Yeah, I like that ship. I told him that, you know he when I was he like it is classy. Yeah, classic, man,
I will win this ship. Yeah, we're gonna we should do, because I don't know how to pronounce your last name. My last name not a cocktail? What is it? You're not something? Bust is mad? Easy to come on, man, listen, that's what the name of the watching called. Yeah here you not drink Champs to drinks? Has fucking this? Watch up a drink Champs watch? No, man, we are not elegant at all. We are not drinking beak drinking my moana out and now papus you out here with you
see you outside? I mean the minimum, you know, that's the minimum. You know. I mean, I ain't gotta watch show. I gotta show just about watches? Is what? What did you want first? When you've got in the industry, the chain, or to watch? I ain't got a lot of the way y'all niggas shipped back in the days. Man with the roles always wanted the ro man talked about it and y'all jay Z he was a part of Yes, the records man. So so it was the watch first.
It was the watch because you know why I always judged. I always know if a person chooses the watch first, that means they're gonna last, because the chain is gonna wi You know what it was when I was thirteen that had gold teeth and gold chain Gucci links. It was hollow, but I hadn't had gold. That's when my goldfriend what obvious gets from picking the avenue and browns
right here? This is only a good place. I had gold teeth, and I had I had changed when I was really little, but I always wanted a Rolex because the way these guys were shining in the industry with it. I was like, I need one one day. You know what I'm saying, It's it's different, Like what what what the mill said? What's that role test? Modus? I wnna be honest with you. Uh, cor correct me, correct me if I'm wrong. I don't know if it was my
birthday or Christmas. I think it was my birthday. Keep around the plus my wife he bought me this as a gift. It was. It was a birthday gift from my wife. Just this Rolex, right Jesus. And then I've seen your weather. You got mad. We got married. We got married, and Long Island at a very unique place. Man. It was a castle. It was a castle. It was it was a real castle. But like I said earlier, when she was in constrating, we got married over the phone.
So we had to have a big ceremony. She came home. We didn't at the castle. You know what was funny and didn't really as people call us the book. Yeah, so this is funny. So I'm like, really, that's why I thought about y'all rap battle. You're like, oh, he's gonna be on, so I'm next. Because the few year was almost like a battle. It was like bath is coming, but y'all never rap battle that one. No, I really she would kill me if she like like you being
she's nice man. She would get versus y'all against each other. That was like my nice question. Would I wouldn't go along? I went bad? You like you versus? Yeah? That ship is fire? Who who? Who your ultimate poem? Who you ultimate opponent? Yeah? I would do with anybody. We want to smoke nigger that you want to smoke with? You want? I don't got nobody particularly I want to smoke with. The only person I went bad was cool. You come on, slidestock.
I'm being really, I think nobody really want a battle. I'm just saying in life period, I would battle anybody except that Nigga turns to the jack the ripper and your career we tell you. So I went into an l show. By the way, this is real. So I got home for I can't it's Top forty all the depth can things just on the Top forty tour. They're like on a forty day tour. Only on fourteen days of those tours. They like Nigga, you just talk Billy
Nick Top forty, everyone else. Everyone else's real Top forty, like you just crossing over, like you go, you ain't gonna be on all these days. Where's day now? I had to watch else that he was closing, not the horch I at left this part of the show me. He just hands out roses. See what I'm saying, This is thinking different, could do that, Maybe can't could do that. It's different different cos his commercial success. So let me
finish this and I'll let you take back over. When all was giving these bitchess roses, they're going and I'm looking at me and he's just he's just walking around. This is where his shirt comes walk up. Is he doing a song? This can't gonna stay on best. By the way, I think he invented that taking the shirt. Yeah, so I'm looking And by the way, I was my man. I got his phone number. But by the way, he has three rooms on tour. He has his room where he just talked to himself. He just all right, yeah,
I think you think I voted. He talked to himself. Listen, he just in there like it's about to go in. And he has his kids room, he has his statter room. He has three rooms, just anything like everybody who all rappers who did shows that I was like this Nicka Nories give really Ray two muce. But anyway, so this is my first time I'm on tour with these names. By the way, all of them got helicopter's private planes.
I'm still on United on I'm on contidential airlines with the same top for the records that the definitely it was like, you guys, you just gotta fit in, all right. So this is the first it's the first day. The first day, I gotta like you just just go normally, like you get the same money as they get you, just like I'm going with it. So that's the first thing I actually stayed to watch L perform and my nigga, this nigga has parts of his show because I've seen
Caress one. You ever seen Caress One give a speech at this show? No, yo, your caress will rock the party. I was straight and then just stopped a lecture. Do you guys love you yourself? Yeah? Everybody, you don't start, Oh if I really love me whatever? Carros was saying, sweet, So, how do you think I got that tennis ball? Yes? Yes, SO has that same exact love me. So L has the same as action, but he's like speak he like, yo, yo, man, you know what I'm saying, before you go, I need love.
He's just giving out these roses and you're not really realizing he about to go, I need love. And then if it's just just falling out. And by the way, very professional. His wife and kids is in the next room. I told you it's three rooms, one for himself, him and his security. Last that's why I respect him, and security is just gassing him. He's spoken around in one room, then his wife, his kids is in another room, and then like his production and all of them into another room.
And I'll tell you, man, that's when I realized. I was like Damn bro. This is why I came into this game, and I have never had a chance to put my show together. Like, see what I'm saying about l L. You you're going to a battle. When I was a kid, I used to battle. You know what I'm saying, You're going to bad I'm a batteriss nigger. L morphs into another character, court Jack the Rill. But you don't even know who you're battling. How can you
battle this nigga? I would never talk about the cannabis situation. You think I was being a bully or cannabis tribe. I don't think he was being a bully. Shout out the cannabis, very dope, nervous. By the way. By the way, why does a run. He said that we wouldn't send up a car service, sir. It's just always said sad. But he said something about we didn't send him. He said, we just send a car service. It's like car services got you, like, shout out the cannabis, very dope, livous. Okay,
I gotta say that in your opinion. One of the thing I don't think that was being a bully. I think when he said, uh, your math with the man that Mike on your arm? Can I borrow that? I think it was all fan love and war after that, you know what I'm saying. But like I said, you out the cannabis. But I think l L had a legitimate reason to go left after that. I don't want to wake up old demons. Both of them are spoke, both of them. That's over and so. But L you
know what I mean? Do you can say to yourself a pat rap? Now? I used to do that when I was a kid. I'm not even lying to you, Oh my lying. We used to being on the whole way war together. You know so right now, Uncle Murder say um right now. It's like for me and I love a battle culture. I love battle rap, you know what I'm saying. But for me, it's like it's almost like going backwards because I was doing it when I was younger than I can't I returned into I transitioned
into a recorder. Honest, I can't say. If somebody coming with the right bag, I won't do it, you know what I mean? And you would do versus versus. I do that against your body. I'll do it against anybody. I'll do it against whoever. And you didn't say you have one opponement an opponent now, I don't know. I do under scream need from Brooklyn. Okay, let's think, guys, what's this a perfect opponent I don't know, versus if
they think I'm worthy, I'll come to it. Yes, cast caste cast he shout the cash, shout the bleak bleak, shout at my brother bleek bleek is we talked from time to time. Shout the bleak, shout the freeway. Somebody say our cast I'm gonna do right now, Holy sh it, Oh that'd be interesting. That'll be interesting that Joe shout to Joe. But I don't think he wrapping them more. Yeah, me neither. I'm been trying to have him come outside or what they said, Gilly Joe, like I've seen that
do it and didn't do new wraps. I've seen that. You think we did go win that Gilly or Joe? Both of them nice though they are back, actually both get wraps. Let's just um, I don't know. I don't both nice, but it would have to be new lyrics now right because Joe can't keep doing pump it up like like what I'm saying, like he happened though somebody called somebody out and somebody said let's go and don't we hit nothing else. No, I called Joe out. I wanted to Joe. Joe said, no, you got two many
years durfy down to music and which I've expected. But when people do know is we were at bar one hanging out and I gave him to say. I was said let's go me and you because he he died. I got called camout. And this is before dip set ship. Joe was like, yo, leave Cam alone. I told he was podcast brother supposed to go with you. Then I humped him over with Kanye. He ain't seem being set what you was do. I was supposed to the mansion, and you know, and I'm not bragging his rich first purposes.
Only I live in Jersey. Now. Let me not say I got the mansion in Jersey. I got the crib in Jersey now. And I went to the mall one day and I pulled in and I turned I seen my nigga Beatie seguel Man. Where the mother he was in the morning short here he was in the park at the Big Boy Westfield Westfield even market. Back up, Baby, I told me he used to come outside and he
came outside the leg to that. That's my bro. Like a lot of people thought I was like chast sizing them, but it was just the over taxtics I used because I didn't know the Kanye ship was gonna happen. But I just was like, yo, like a lot of us older it individuals have been in the game, pretend twelve fifteen years. Sometimes we have I don't want to say
low suffer statements. That's a bad term, but we we forget how important we are to the community and what it is is sometimes you gotta be in front of community. Sometimes if you don't come outside, then people ain't gonna say your pack you know, you're doping. And what I'm saying, you actually gotta come outside of you actually gotta get come outside to get your flowers. A lot of us, yeah, a lot of ups, That's right. A lot of us stay indoors and just expect just's expect the love to
come to us, you know what I'm saying. So a lot of the times, that's what I was. That's what I realized. Your Miami niggas relaxed. But but that's what I realized about Miami was me being in New York was one thing for me being in Miami. It allowed people to give me my flowers in Miami because people were sitting back saying, you know what, I'm a New York nik. I could never stop me and John Singleton was lived down the block for me for the last
few years. It's like John Singleton said, you will never be on my show. I said, why your New York accent is horrible? Like you can in a good way. It's about that. Let's talk about this so far. Why is it that other regions hate New York so much? Don't start this? Please, no, no, we gotta talk about this. We got because that's why, y'all he feels the same way. Let me tell you why I think and then you can correct me. Path Who's you're going on there? Correct?
She got to be talked about because ship niggas nay, I w are you living right now? Man? I'm still in New York. I'm gonna summarize it. Y'all mad at us because we was doing this ship before or y'all like nah, It's like niggas is like I feel like New York started hip hop um when when New York was shining they didn't let us shine. So now that my region is shining. Fuck New York, let's clean all these niggas fun they Timberlands, hold on. Let they'll be
hating on this. We didn't mean Paul. Let's starting hip. Let me feel everywhere freely and I get loved because I showed loves misunderstands. Why you don't know us back? I want to know why y'all be why y'all be stunning on New York. The jokes is cool, you're funny, very funny, but you gotta stop hating on the city man, the first of all, and you know this is true. First one, there's a misunderstand there's no hating on your what you call that, though there might be somebody's I
don't what you're talking about. Because for me, I sit back and I see New York niggas reposting that ship, and I'm like, okay. But at the end of the day, it's hey, it's as jokes that can't be a York. Do you know the jokes that when people would go up to New York or we'll go talk to people with the jokes on the South too. We never create no davits let's address the problem. Nor South jokes. Let's be honest. There's New York. No, no, there was no
that's it's coming from. He's talking what what we've talked about on the show is in the past. I'm talking about nineties. I can't talk for right now what's happening. But in the nineties, the industry, it's not it wasn't. The artist in New York, it wasn't. If you talk to any artists from the South that comes from that era, they all have love and respect for the culture. And where does the culture come from? Right? And for the all inspirations are artists from you? Because hate they also
don't finish. Let me because this is a misconception. It's not a hate for you, it's a hate for the industry that was in your The industry the same the same thing that you like, the same thing everybody hates because the industry was based in New York. So what happened, I was oppressed, You feel pressed, No, it was they wasn't. I feel pressed. They was filtering what was getting signed, just like how you felt black balled. They were blackballing
the regions the rest of the country. So you'll feel black that's why the West Coast when everything popped off. That's what they were. They were they were talking. But but can I ask you guys a question. You've been running the games, you guys years, enough reperations. I've only been running the game in the podcast. I don't know, man, because this I sat down with on and off air man tr feel the same way. What watch watch with the micrab pull it up? Okay, no, pull it up? Okay,
I don't know. I don't do this ship. If she searchs, that's just answer. Hipp don't no, don't no. One called me but hip hop niggas right again? Oh okay, okay, shout to search if she searchs. You love drink chats the bat boots, make some noise. It was going, he said, it was up to the drill again. Let me ask you something. Was there ever a time in the industry you didn't have a job part the mic? Goddamnit, my brother, let's make some start calling you right back pack, Hey,
listen and your whole team mem and carphones tonight. All right, It's I'll be there Jet blue man and met that search. No great dude, By the way, I say, I love them for that I was saying that playing around, but Search has always had a job in the hip hop, which is crazy because I feel like that's how we're supposed to walk away, Like when you when it's really time to retire, you posted to work at def Jam, you posted to work at that echo like he did.
Glad y'are saying this because this is what I've been advocating. Me and my team have been advocating my line snaps. We've been advocating for me to have a position that toom call not just as a person who I can't think of the world right now, I'm a little hit.
What did you call it? Brand ambassador? You go not as that, not just as that, but as someone who text to artists have equity and establishment because I can give an honest opinion on why all this should towards you, And you were saying, it's just now you wash and I's what I did. I was watching you on other interviews and I've seen you, you know, really believe, like really standing by that. Yeah. I mean because like I said, I lost my deal and I went to soon Cool
and eventually it worked out for me. And then I can't say it right away, but eventually I stuck with it. The bag is coming in well before we wrap it up. Yes, what was that my state? Because let's let's just think about artists who are coming in this game. They get a hit record, they get this, this, this, this bars they get the same deal at one point five, at one point two to one point seven or whatever, then they lose it. What was your mind state when you
when you lost it? And did you blame yourself? Did you blame Bustle, did you blame case Lay? That's a two point questions. I'm sorry the maturity hit me. As you get older, you mature, and one thing about maturity you learn you have to look at the man in the mirror. I blame myself because I should have knew better. I made mistakes. I mixed the industry with the street. I thought that when people didn't cooperate with me and people hated on me, I should have dressed them with violence.
And that was a big mistake by me doing that. So due to the fact that I did that, I have to take full responsibility. Regardless of what Jeff Finston, regardless of the haters, regardless of the black bowling, I should have knew better, as a young man. You know what I mean. You know you understand what I'm saying, and you gotta understand me. I'm gonna be honest with y'all. The closest person to me man in the world. Our mothers are identical, twin sisters. My cousin Strong, he got murdered.
And you know, music was our dream. Yeah I knew how to wrap, but it was our dreams. So when we was hustling and doing negativity in the street, music was always our way out. So when I got that one point five me out of day and we was touring and I lost my deal and everything fell apart, we went back to the street. And when when we went back to the street, yeah, I went back to the street, We went back to the street. My cousin
lost his life. So I feel like if my career would have took off, maybe that would have never happened. So you got to be very careful and very mindful are the decisions you make and the mistakes you make. You know what I'm saying. I don't beat myself up to the point where I blame myself, but I can't help us say, damn, what if my career would have
took off with my little cousins still be here. You know what I'm saying, So you know, be careful, be mindful, and don't take things for granted a little cause, man, that's shots. That was real. Definitely, Now there's no lie. Definitely, but we're gonna take a shot for cars. But we're gonna this is a happy note, happy note, Let's do it. We're really proud for you, and this is this is probably my last question after this. We're really proud for you.
Thank you so a little before you say that, let me just say thought I was gonna stop pap posts teaching in two change. Really my little rain and Buston rob is available all did you platforms? I say, drink Chance. It's the biggest podcast in a way you think you man, let me ask you this because there's a rumor and you define this rumor. But when people say lyrical artists are not don't have money, do you agree with that? Obviously you you can't agree with that because you outside.
But is that the norm if if a person is lyrical and it's just it's does his life if he doesn't have the option to go on on love and hip hop? But he doesn't have the option. Uh, you know, being married to like most lyrical m c s. What do you think for the lyrical mcs how? How are you gonna let me see this? You have some lyrical artists who are versatile and they're able to transition and do other things and make her wreckiss like Normy did. I'm sitting back in the day, but but I want you.
I wanted I want you. I'm going to say this and a lot of people are gonna disagree with me, and I want you to know that this is coming from a person who is not broke, person who lives in the mansion. You know what I'm saying. When where it's nice, she he drives nice cars. My daughter is set for life. I'm gonna say this. Money isn't everything. It's not everything. You understand what I'm saying. And money doesn't make you a lyricist. Money doesn't make you a man.
Money doesn't make you who you are. Character, dignity, loyalty, and respect make sure you are. Don't measure a man's character, ability or talent by money. You got a flight, yeah, but let's get out because that was the perfect rate to end it. Man, I'm just being honest. Man, Yeah, I little brother being honest. Don't tell me for what I said today. Guys like we told you that you gotta do drops, you gotta do pictures. Let's do it. Whatever you need me to do. Let me just tell
you again because we're like fake cousins. To remember that your fake cousins really really we were lad, Yeah, trying to do that back in the day. You know, get on soon. Let's take this but our show it's back, Papoosh. You a legend. Thank you man, you're a dude. That's still the test of time. You could have cracked, you could have folded, you could have left your wife, you could have did a lot of dumb ship uh real talk,
and you stood there. You still. I watched you at times, and I want to be a better version for me because I sit back and I say, damn, you know, I want my wife to know I love hard just as much as that. That what you what you show when you just distribute and um, that's why I did love and hip hop too, because it was just like you know what it was. It was two reasons. It's like I could be that better version of me, and I could be that better version of me and on TV.
And then it's also when DMX passed away, that dude, I spent the last two weeks of his life. He every single day X with me, six weeks, six weeks, every single day xked with me and I'm just working with him. They don't get a little emotional out, but um, and when he passed, I wanted to do the same thing I did with my father passed or my father passed. It was the biggest year of my life. I had the number one record, number one album, number one, and
then I lost my father. It looked good on you, man. Yeah yeah, so I say that to say so I did this. But at the end of the day, had it not been the image of you and rim, wow, like how y'all held it down, Like Yo, you could do this, I could navigate through this and be still be you. I wouldn't have. I wouldn't have been able
to survive. Like like the extra hit me real hard and still I still cry, like you know, that's like my my brother twin, Like you know the other day, you know, I'm just me j B being the crea, just crying because because my my boy twins, because I'll be trying to be tough, but then all reality, I'm not like I'm actually a human. So I say that to say I want to thank you. I want to thank you as an artist. I want to thank you as a father. Don't want to thank you as a husband.
I want to thank you because it's versions of you that I say. You know what, let me straighten up. Me'll hit me and better than me and every person he's battling. You can't say something to Norri. I want apologize to you, brother, because you messaged me and you're invited me to your anniversary and I tried everything in my power to make it and I couldn't make it. I know it was a wonderful anniversary versuit me without
me being there. I only couldn't imatch it. But I want to thank you for being an advocate for black love and living it out do your family structure, and I want to thank you just for that alone. Brother, So let's get it around. Let up. I wouldn't say one thing. I'm gonna say this since we talked about relationships in marriage, I gotta say I see it all the time. A woman is the most Before I said I'm gonna take a shot, I gotta say it. I'm sorry,
I do the same ship. That's crazy. Me and my wife up because I feel about people should hang with marrying people saying because we bounced off each other, it's therapeutic and I hope I still can get an invite even though I didn't make the last Are you get it right? You're doing it every year. I gotta come man and take a flick and do the drop. Let's get out of statement before I'm gonna say this last thing in case you're not married, I want to let you know a woman is the most precious jewel, more
precious in the ruby, ameral, diamond, or sapphire. Each man has to say, one woman and rise above the rest so she can show the world how precious she truly is. Meaning, if you don't put your woman on the pedestal and show her that loyalty and I love, you cannot respect that and return my brothers and pieces. I'm I'm about to say, can you do a six team? You can't do? You're good, You're drunk. I just want them to get uh. I thought I was gonna stop featuring to change. We
take a flick. Let's do it. Brother, Thanks for joining us for another episode of Drink Champs hosted by Yours truly, d J E F and n R E. Please make sure to follow us on all our socials.
