Speaker 1

Welcome to Drink Champs, the production of The Black Effect and I Heart Radio and his Drink Chess motherfucking podcast. Mason, he's a legendary queen's rapper, He's Segre's your boy in o R. He's a Miami hippop pioneers d j e FN. Together they drink it up with some of the biggest players in the most professional, unprofessional podcast. And your number one sort for drunk drink is New year Z just for Drink Champs. Trink up mother Mother when it could

be Hopeully's when it should be. It's your point in R what it was dj e FM, this drink Chat motherfucker every right now, you know as usual we started this show. We wanted to do legends, not only hip hop legends, but we want to do legends in the community and the entertainment. And when we talk about this brother right here to the left, he could interview Mannipaka y'all better than Mannipoca. Y'all could act like manipokast he could, he could, he can act. He can, He's comedic genius

and he can. He has this way of just getting into other people and he's a dancing maniac. I feel like he's gonna do the new fast flame the other way, you know, the flame when they pulled out the thing Aniac. So in case you want like he's gonna do with we're talking about legends I had. I had a bar research, and you had a bar research and you and just researching all the different characters that you take on and I only take on. But something that you've been doing lately, uh,

that has been very essential to the game. You''ve been recapping the Yeah fact Joe did the best job. Did you see Fat Joe's No, he really recappcause the orders of him just explaining it, him moving about the locks and um yeah, he just kept saying I can't hide. I said, oh yeah, like that's like that's real hip hop. But what made you and what's my man name? Spice? An old Spice commercial and all that? Um um, what made y'all get together and say you know what we're

gonna be? Because the first year I was recapping, like asked the guest, right, yeah, I think he was like Teddy Riley and he he was Teddy was a baby face. So what made you do that? Was it? The Teddy in the baby face was the first verses that had a major technical debacle, right, and so me and Spice didn't even know each other. We were just fans and we never met in person and were online like yo we he d M. He's like, yo, should we spook this?

And that's way random DM, without y'all really having we had already like commenting on each other ship before and was like, yo, you're funny man. He's like, are you funny? Like we was always showing flowers and giving flowers to each other, but we never worked together or even met in person. We didn't know each other. And so that was when UM I G first had when you go live with multiple people, which is why they had the verses, and so yeah, we was like, yo, should we spook this?

And he was that's during the pandemic. That's when the teddy were still may happened, right, right, but when we was all inside and so he was like, yo, man, we we gotta do it. And then he got he jumped the gun. He's like, yo, I gotta do this as a video. I'm just gonna post it as a sketch. I was like do that. I'll do one too, and then tomorrow night we'll go live and reenact the whole thing, and people tuned in the Timberland and swizz. They was

all tuning in and laughing and ship. So I was like, Okay, we got a little something here, and then we just doing it from there and it just grew and grew and group. Now have you done Russell Simmons impersonation since he've been me too, don't go right to it. Huh, I'm just gonna go right to it. He'd he back off side. Wrong, he's very very dis perspect Okay, you know, maybe come back. Look, I've been in Bali, you know, getting getting very you know, centered, But you're gonna maybe

come back to queens. Don't bring the queens. Don't maybe queen come on? Are you gonna you know what it is? I was glad to do a yoga kid over. I was glad to see Russell outside because you know, I don't know. I'm not familiar with the case. I'm not familiar what's going on. And as much as I try to be familiar, it's it's just it's a lot. It's not stuff. We would never know the fact that when he was over there just made him look somewhat more guilty. But so the fact that he's outside and you don't

think so that's what certain people were taking. I feel like it made him look like, uh, you know, he's going to get peace. What I want to be Like, he just looked like, I'm rich, I want to be where I want to be. Yeah, he's like, I'm getting away from the bullshit. I'm just gonna be zen with it and I'm gonna go to Bali and live off the tree, live up the land. Now. You was like the first um like um cancel culture like you had.

It was on Fox TV and you did something to funk up pistol off the white boys larious just the white boys, just the white where you can your research. We're all frugal dot com. This is a totally different thing because it's black rugle. You know what. Man just playing? But you had you did have a show. Yeah meThe man Man, Wow, Wow Jads no Red methyell my people, y'all go that right? So this before notice after? Okay,

so so what was the show scuts comedy comedy? Yeah, this was back when um I was I was doing a lot of stuff on YouTube before everybody was doing a viral Instagram and all that ship and Fox got wind of it and they saw how many millions of views I had with the sketches and parodies and all that kind of ship. So you had an opportunity to do a sketch. Well I got that man. Annoys for that guy. Now you're drinking. I'm drinking water. I think

I'm the first sober. No, okay, I'm gonna they said, because you're a black man, They're just going to drink some knjact. That's what they said. What they said, that's that's what they said, saying who they is. It's the same Google that. Yeah, it's the wrong one. Yeah, well keep it going. I gotta get you to do the right websites. We're gonna get fund up if it makes you.

But okay, so boom. Now you also a lot of people they discovered you on the internet, right, they discovered for the first time running for people that know like you on with the Real Death Comedy Jam, like you had the motherfucking head and all that like and to me, that's like a writer of passage, like like if you, if you are artist, you gotta go to the to the tunnel, you gotta go to the music. You gotta

go to speed. There's certain things that you gotta go through and and that goes in ERAa and for me, and that goes in the area comedy. Um. Again, I'm just outside of looking in. You had to go through that Death Comedy Jam. You had to. Yeah. So so as a person who did that, how did that feel? Like? How does it? How do you even get on Death Comedy Jam? I gotta shout out Bob Sumner. Bob Sumner was the talent scout for Death Comedy Jam, and he

went everywhere. He found everybody that was on that stage, from Bill Bellamy, Bernie Man, Chris Tucker. How was he finding the people? He literally would travel fly to every club around the nation and he would hold Death Comedy Jam auditions. Literally just one man would go around and see all these people. And he found it del givings everybody, every every legend that's on that show. He's responsible for that.

And how did he find you? The same thing? I was in Charlotte just starting now and uh, you fumed the cargo all right? You know I'm from North Carolina, Jay Coole, We're from the same sea that you got the same kind of light skins ship going on. Yeah, military military brass light skins. Okay, you know, you know what, do you play ball? Not at all? I never played ball in my life. So I'm the last niggaty picked on the court. I didn't all I'm gonna waiste of

six one? But how did he discovered Let's get back to that. Okay, Oh yeah, so Bob something. He was held an audition in um in Charlotte, and I was like, yo, I'm I was influenced by de Commy jam I was. It was the biggest fucking show at the time. And then Jamie Fox brought you out to Jamie. Was that first time you met Jamie Fox? Yeah, that's the first time I met him. But but here's the weird trick of editing the show I actually was on. Queen Latifa

was my host. They edited me on one of Jamie's shows because one of the comedian or two of the comedians they got booed and so they didn't have an enough people in that slot, so they put it was me Corey Holk on Barbara Carlisle and I'm forgetting one more name, but yeah, we we ended up on Jamie show. Do you know it's crazy? I went to death Comedy Jam Live, and I did see people get booed before boring television. They never showed that. They don't show them.

You just brew my fucking mind. I just remember that. It's not like Apolo where they showed the boost So so did you know that they were bored before? Before we was in everybody was in the studio, like in the theater, you see everything. Like if you you know how New York theaters are, Apolo is the same way, Like everyone's in the building, whether you downstairs, in addressing room, even down there, everyone's in the same kind of shared space. There's no exclusive like V I, P and this and that.

Everybody's bleeding over into the so we all are watching the show and seeing everything happened in real time, you know what I mean. And so when somebody getting booed, everybody's like, I ain't name you might want to find another job. You ain't gonna make it on TV because because we interview other comedians, and I'm gonna tell you something, comedians don't seem nice to upcoming other comedians. Is that like kind of true? It's like, like, could you not

interview other comedians and they always be like him? I'll just kid you not about the wrappers on the low. But don't get it twisted. Once y'all making to a certain extent, then y'all all accept each other. But like when I'm coming up level, it just felt like Mike apps on here and there was a um, what's my man? Red brown man? Mike thought going in one man, and it's like, is it is it like that? Like is it hazing going on? MC? Yeah, but I don't want

to know about the comedy world drawing a parallel. Okay, right, you know what it's like to have an m C who's hungry when you already made it. You already norry and MC like yoke man. Let me just listen to my ship. You make the funk out of here? Yeah, you gotta do so. With comedians is kind of it's the same thing. It's a big brother little brother energy.

You know what comedians is ettle. I'm gonna tell you why it's ella because y'all have the right to see you some foul ship like y'all can say, man, I don't even with you, and like you can that could be truthful, but it comes back. It's a comedian like y'all can get away with that ship. Yeah. But but again it's there's always gonna be a rights to passage with anything you're doing. Right, there's gonna be hungry comedians

just trying to be funny all the time. We stand around talking to girls and then they can trying to do his whole set in front of you. You're gonna treat them, You're gonna addicted that a little bit, right, But it depends on the comedian. Like some O g s, some some of the guys that have made it, but they might be a little bitter because they feel like they haven't gotten a certain level of whatever that is. They become bitter and now they're addict to everybody, not

just younger comedians. So there's there's always uh, just depends on who it is. It's like it's like the older guys, remember we spoke about it. The older guys used to always give us a hard time. It used to be like they're the real hip hop, we're the fake. And then now we're probably saying that to the to the younger generation. So now it was a part. It was a time Kevin Hart, right, Kevin Hark got caught in the scandal whatever whatever um and most comedians did not

attack him at all. Right, most comedians like, hey man, it happens. But then it was Michael Blacksman, Right, Michael Blacksman comes out and he's just going at him, and everyone is kind of saying he went too far or it's too soon. Isn't ever for a comedian? Isn't ever a place of going too far? And there's the ever too soon? I know it's two part question. No for sure,

too soon? For sure? I think too soon, too far and also too familiar if you know the person like if that's my mids and yeah, I'm not I'm not I'm not going at him. I'm just I'm gonna I'm gonna just leave it alone. I'm gonna keep it really tame, you know what I'm saying. So I don't think so. But how about too soon? Yeah? Both too soon? Um, anytime there's like you know, a death or something like that, Yeah,

there's too soon. There's too far. There's talking about you know, religious beliefs, there's there's there's again to each their own. Some people don't give a funk and they talk about whatever. You know, is that what that's that a comedian's rule. It's just that if it's funny I have to talk about It depends on the person, you know what I'm saying. So you you you saying you have there's a there's

a there's a tactful way to be funny. I believe there's a tactful way, and then there's a mean I just don't give a funk about your soul kind of well, you know what I'm saying, Like human, Yeah, like if somebody lost a daughter, a little girl, Like why would someone come around and joke about that a comedian like ever, not even just two weeks later, but ever, why would you joke It's just funny. It's never fun It's never funny that someone lost that that little girl. So for me,

there's there's a ways boundaries to this ship. I feel like you look at the living color and and and the the boundaries that they set like they were they were still tactful, they were edgy fire marks, but there were certain things. Yeah, there's certain things that they just they relied on their skill as opposed to I'm gonna just say mean dirty ship and try to get a reaction out of people, you know what I mean. There's

a craft to it. Yeah, yeah, I could see that, But I also agree with comedians when they there's no whole bars neither, like like like for the first time and place for it, like like at first, joking about COVID was like funked up, but now joking about COVID is like I want to head the jokes like. And there's a lot of people who have been affected by COVID, as people who passed away from COVID, but still at all I think that I look for comediens to make

something beautiful out a whole ten minutes on COVID. Yeah, yeah, okay, because there's so much misinformation, and you know, there's people that got COVID and was at the party and still it was all right. I just got them to see you up or whatever and they survived and then it's called atlantic. But yeah, it's so much misinformation, and so the deaths that are associated with COVID don't feel as direct unless you know somebody in your family personally that

that got affected by it. But I mean, we police killed niggers in the street, and that's that's a real thing. But there's still some humor that could be made out of that towards the cops. What I'm saying towards the reasons. So what do you think about the vaccine? M hmm. My thing is, um, I've never seen the flu vaccine or any other vaccine. So you see the commercial the other day, Homeboy had the white shirt on that I'm a hustler and what I gotta do. I gotta be

out there. I'm an entrepreneur. Ism commerciers were weird. But the argument could be made that because the hustle don't know what I'm saying, but because how bad ship is and how many deaths, it has to be pushed. But the way that it's marketed it like they're marketing the album. It's just weird. You know. It would be funny to me because I always have friends that's close to black, next to black, and they always be like, how you know I'm you know, I'm black, I'm black. I'm black.

But when they came time for the vaccine, they was not black at all, like they actually went. It was the first people in line to get that vaccine. If you if you identify and you were late to black people in the black struggle, you know that we're not We're not cool with no vaccines. It's never worked out for us, So for them to market and direct and

have ads towards us getting it, it's you got. You can't knock us for being a skeptical deal thousands pent I landed in Baltimore one time and uh got crab legs. Nah Okay, I heard a commercial what it was offering for black people to come down and have the vaccine tested on them. This is when they weren't even sure what it was gonna do. This sounds like the kezy Sperriman,

That's what I'm saying. Something like I've never seen a push offered meals, drinks if you got the vacone kind of crazy getting Shade Stadium for free everything that they had a whole section in Massater Square Garden for the verses. There's vaccinated people, so like my folk's getting vaccinated just to go in the garden. They're trying to make it sexy. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, Like I got that VACS man, I got that VACS that. But you know what's up about the VACS card. The hood is always going to

figure out a way to bootleg it. They already have, especially when they're not really checking the you know, dential. It's just you gotta flash it and getting a restaurant or something. Who ain't gonna bootleg that by any means necessary. Now I picked up fulage of you at the Apollo. What the funny ship was? It wasn't you performing comedy? You was a part of a three twin group. Yeah, twin flex the two twins and me. Yeah, y'all was like the kid and play without the kid and play.

We were we We were not kidding or planes was getting there. Yeah, this is before us, this before I even did stand up. I thought I was gonna be a dancer. Really yeah, but that was after all of that. This is the first one. This is that was my first like TV appearance as a dancer as opposed to like the local shows and a bill like you know or you dancing the little green screen local TV shows and yeah exactly. Um, but now that was when I was on my dance ship and I thought I was

gonna be a dancer, like full time? Do you did you? Did you think he was gonna get bulled off? Or you knew you had it? We kind of knew we had it. Because before you get on the air with Apolo, you have to do a Wednesday night there that's not televised. Yeah, just go up and perform in front of Apollo crowd. And we rocked it, you know what I'm saying. So we we just we had cocky energy with that ship.

Three y'all from North Carolina. Yeah, okay, no North Carolina because it wasn't that school to go to this big city at the time, it was, I mean, it was terrified, you know. And then Steve Harvey with his big gass suit came out. Now, three y'all, no Carolina, what's your name? Okay, so yeah, get up there. If Steve was doing this thing, and this is early Steve, he wasn't even the main host at the time. Mark Perry was the main host of the show. Like his hair was real, like it

wasn't packed up that it was. That was you see the funny Okay, it wasn't that. It was it was a little glow when he turned, when he turned when like like right here he was quit Maine, right here he was to Yeah, so yeah, that was it was. It was terrified, man, when was behind the curtain waiting to rub the log and all that ship, I'm scared of ship. God damn it. Man. Now when we looked up your movie log. You want a lot of white people. Ship, let's makes a noise for you. Come on, man, don't

chex cash every time? And you and haunted the house too. Yeah, okay, okay, one and two were pulled up. Number two. That's a black movie. That's a black Yeah, that's yeah, that's my guy. Man. We get him high every time you come here, even though you don't smoke. We just like to slip blow the smoking and look, we got the the A C right for you, but we usually make the A C hottes have just stand there look like me. So what what? What? What is it? Is it? What do you prefer more

movies or getting up on that stage? Movies? Movies? Yea? Why? Um? I love them both. But for me, movies is the it's a way that you can control what you're presenting to the audience. You can you can like polish them it, polish it, edited, rewrite it, and really get it to your perfection. Um. So that's my preference. But I love the stage. To the stage is you're in front of real people and you're getting that real time reaction and energy and so it's uh. But if I had my preference.

It's movies because with it and then I see your stage. You had the black and the red like it was like, oh, you watched the special. Okay it was leather, right, No, it wasn't. It wasn't what I did because every comedian does that because we pay how much, That's what I say. I felt like it was the goat. So I came out with a leather jacket on and took it off before the music even stopped. Look about about performing. This

ship already sweat. So so every time a comedian wear leather, is that that's Eddie And none of that's because there's a clear Eddie had a purple suit on once and then he had the red and then he had a purple bluish joint in rule. Yeah, that's when he get That's when he was You could tell because he had a scarf on and all that he got he was getting a little. Yeah, he had a diamond ring. Outside the Love of Black Gloves. You saw that. It was

different money. Let me tell you. Let me tell you this, right, Kevin Hart is good from him. I know Kevin Hat is good from you. Guys have some hilarious moments, especially on the ground We're gonna bring that up a little later. I love Kevin harts One. I love what it represents, what it stands for. The only thing I'm saying is

I've never seen a run like Eddie Murphy. And what I mean by that is I used to see people go get rest to go to the movie to see Eddie Murphy, like they were getting dressed as if they were in the damn movie. Like. I used to see lines around the court like corner like. When Eddie Murphy movie dropped, it was like Christmas almost. I had never seen nothing like that before that. And since I wasn't really around for the Richard prior days, me either. So

what what didn't you were supposed to play? Probably we get you that. I think he should come goddamn it. But yeah, so what did you see Eddie's running when it was so at the height I see, I'm like you. I came up during the Eddie era, so that was he was the hero. He's the guy, you know what I mean? I think. But the difference with Eddie and everybody else is no one has ever seen what Eddie did. Eddie was the first to do a lot of ship you know what I mean? Even though he patterned himself

after Richard, he just took it. He took it a different place, the same way Michael Jordan's uh patterns of about the doctor j Dr J Nasty on the dunks. Jordans just put a lot more extra flare into what he did. So I feel like Eddie was that guy with the versatility with the characters and the movies and all that kind of ship. So you know, Kevin gets compared because he's hasting, so he gets compared to Eddie all the time. But the difference between Kevin and Eddie

is Kevin. By the time we see Kevin's success, we've already seen Eddie and Martin and the Wayne's family, so we have so many people before. But when Eddie broke, there was no one doing it like Eddie. That rock starship in the eighties, leaping over white people and having box office success, hanging out with Rick James, hanging out with Rip James, all that music career everything. My girl just fun to party all that time, party, party all the time. I was saying, That's what I'm trying to

say in the videos. In the video James, you could just picture there was a lot of cocaine in background. There was a whole bunch of y um but Kevin. You know, I get I get mad sometimes when I go on the clubhouses and I go on um, you know, Twitter and things like that, and they have trending topics like Kevin Hart ain't funny. I can't. I don't understand that. I went into a room like that one time with they said Tiffany Hatch ain't funny. And normally what that

is is trolls. So when I went in that room, she jumped in into and about. She stayed in for about an hour, but I spent about ten minutes telling them, niggas, don't do that corny ship. You know what I'm saying, because no matter if you affect five people, the people I don't just winning then started screaming, Okay, look man, y'all here doing this troll ship. It was like, no, we just wanted to get her in here so we could talk to her about some issue was over in

in Africa. All right, cool, fuck, I get that right, But to go and say someone's not funny, to go against to post something against their livelihood. Black people always talking about we don't have enough and we don't have this, but we're the first people to do some dumbship like that to troll each other. So you're gonna potentially take money out this lady's pocket and food off our table

because you want to get a room started. So I was just barking about that kind of ship, like guess to Kevin, to whoever, I do on'tly really see Kevin. I've never seen the Tiffany how to stay. I think Tiffany islas I think Kevin is that. I think every comedian is great for their own rights. Yeah, everybody got a lane. Everybody's eat didn't get there by accident, And like to tell the truth, I think the only thing getting on harder from the bottom and happen to get

all the way to the top is comedian ship. When you hear, like the growing up stories, people getting a hundred dollars a night and then happen to wait, like you know, to the end of the night to get ten minutes or two minutes on the stage get oh yeah, like a big, bigger comedian or coming, and they're like, yo, yeah, you can't like that. That to me, that's like almost maybe a little rougher than hip hopably got the chickling circuit in hip hop, which is pretty fine, but commedian.

So in order to be somebody in the comedian comedic world, you gotta go through this. This is no one who just comes out and just gets It's le let me change this question, because there is some comedians who just get on Instagram get some followers. Are they considered the comedian or they considered Instagram funny. That's a that's a a big debate that that's been going on for years. Now here's what I say to that, and I always drew a parallel, So just bear with me, Um Jesus

smoking parallels exactly. Come on, now, I'm on point. Let's getting your work, Okay, let me get some by um. When it comes to comedians, and I think, no matter the platform them you use, although they may not be traditional stand up comedians with that title, if you on the on the Gram or on social media and you have funny ship and you're funny to me, you're funny. You may not be labeled a comedian, but you're funniest, right.

But I draw a parallel of hip hop in the seventies when when rap first started, the bands of the seventies was mad As ship, and they were like, oh, they're not doing it right. They're taking eye music and just saying they're bullshit over it. That's not real music. It's a fat it's not gonna be around for a long time. We said the same ship about some of these TikTokers and some of these uh snapchatters and instagram

people anders YouTubers. If you're funny, you're funny. I use all platforms because I could do it though, So my thing is, if you're funny, you funny. But if the platforms are available, use all of that ship. You know, hip hop is a billion dollar industry now because if if they would have listened to the ends back then and gave up, we wouldn't have you, We wouldn't have nobody know what I'm saying, jay Z Now, we wouldn't

have none of that ship. So I don't I don't sit back and be like, now this person is not a comedian or knocked the hustle or whatever. I jump in the collab video with him, gonna do whatever if if they if they're nice with it, because I guess what they're saying. There's some some some of these guys on Instagram they're just funny on Instagram and you put them in a live show, live show people. Oh no, that happens though, Like you gotta know what your lane is.

If you're not about that, don't jump on the goddamn stage. You're gonna get your ass a right they real, I'm sure, don't do it? Have you have you seen that? We're seen? Yes, my boy Brandon Lewis, we talked about this. Yeah, you know, like because we talked about all the time. And there's comedians that be like, yo' I'm gonna stage time. Let me get on. Let me open up for you, all right.

Every city I go too, I don't. I don't shun no young comedians and they'll be like, oh, let me let me go on stage tonight, Like I'm ready, all right. There's only been once that that somebody was like nice with it on the spot about that life, about that life. Was his name, what's his name down in Jacksonville, Florida. I forget it's out Florida, little Duvall das alleged, Das Allegend. I forget his name. But anyway, he was funny. It was funny. Everybody else ate it. Every other city It's

different when you're get in front of the audience. Man, audiences, you could be funny as fun on your camera and then your shower. When you're in front of people, you're gonna freeze up and changes the rhythm and changes the stakes. You ain't on your right foot, start making excuses. Oh man, I just want to come up here and say with something. Y'all, man, you don't mother an your mother's in the house. You're trying to get that stinch of bad comedy off you.

Whatever you could fucking find. Anybody ever got shot trying to relate to anything, anything, anybody ever came late, anybody have a wake up. So when you see like the transition from like like Chris Rock, like like, right, I just seen Chris Rock Chris Rock, what I see? What transition? Okay, fun out of transition ain't transition. I was always me, man, God, I was always men always. Literally watched him in Chris

Rock Chris Rock. I literally watched Chris rocking Saul and I was like, wow, Like he did a role where he wasn't being funny that he was trying. He was being real, real serious, and it was like at some point I was like, oh, he's not a comedian in here. I thought he was gonna take Saul That's what it was like. It was he took a franchise. So I'm thinking at some point it's gonna be funny and it's not. It's Samuel Jackson and the serious is motherfucker. Like I'm like, oh,

this is not a comedy. I've never saw that, like even no, no, they say the best actors are comedians first, like Robin Williams. I think he was one of the best actors. Yeah, Mrs Joe Will Hunting was my favorite rock Williams performance. Yeah, I thot good Will Hunting. It's been been after like negat no, but he's in. You didn't see it after Adam Adam Dandon. Who Man, you sound like the guy Matt David Matt Bender Man, Marry. So why would you think that he said Kevin be

election election. You never heard that that comedians make some of the best like dramatic actor, you know what it is. I've never seen like Dave Chappelle sip into that. Yeah he did. What are you talking about? Yeah exactly, Yeah, you can tell them, nigga, Nick, I ain't watched that. He only watched us. Okay, hold on, hold on, I do that movie. You got guys in that movie. They got guys in that movie. So you know what I'm saying. So I'm a used pun fan by the way, speaking

with terrorist Okay, he was punch fan. Yeah that's my man. I ran Tris with him. I heard a couple of things together. Yeah. I never usually want to admit that, but I went to his He has a big pun um streets. Visit that up. You go visit that, go visit that. So performing, how do you prepare for performing? Do you do your fingerpop something something making me anything? Maybe the night before. Now, I just get into the work, the work that has to be done. You know what

I'm saying. If I'm doing stand up, I gotta go over my set. I gotta make sure I know I'm hitting my my beats, make sure my energies right. Because I like to perform like sweat, you know what I'm saying, Like I'm I like to give the audience a show, come out with a rag everything Well, tow, I gotta twent on stage. Yeah, I'm I go in um just making sure I'm prepared and I know my ship. That's that's how that's what it is when it's movies, TV. Yourne no. No. But let's take a performing for a

little while, because performing is about timing. Oh yeah, because you can say something. Now, let me ask you. I want to get back to timing, but I want to also ask you. Do you change your material based on what you're going for him? Like, if you performing in North Hollywood, you ain't can perform the same way at South cent you right, you know you do. But you you go to every every city and you have to

acknowledge the city in some way, you know. I mean, you don't gotta spend a bunch of time on it, but you do have to acknowledge the difference and that you realize where you are and who you with, you know what I'm saying. So like if you go to Seattle, you gotta recognize they've got good coffee, you gotta talk about whatever, or they got a lot of clouds and raining over the time I'm saying fireworks. Yeah, so you do save it up a little bit. You have to, okay,

I mean some people don't. Some people just go out and just do this ship but I do. Okay, But we got this segment of the show we called it's called quick time with Slim. So usually when we do this, it's the guests who take a shot, but me and e fn Is gonna step up for you because he's you're not drinking. Appreciate that his boy, But somebody needs to drink. You want to drink from? Okay, let's happens that you're killing me to take man Jesus Si, Okay, I give me there. You gotta take a drink. You

want your boss thing, Mr Lee, Mr Lee? Come on right, yeah, come on, Sonny, you want to drink from? Go on some moonshine. That's how big that's that's what is in that. I don't know. He turned your white in. That's hard. That's hard from that on? Um yeah, alright cool. I can smell that ship from Yeah, that's that's that's that's what they say that from pro Berndy. That's like you're definitely white. Pungent sings. What's your favorite movie coming to America?

Wait a minute now, because I don't want to. I don't want to fight right now, we're not gonna fight. How do you feel about part two? It's not part one. I'm not listening, but listen, I'm I'm friends with the Murphy family. I talked to us, talked to his brother the other day. My personal feeling was they should have never did a sequel. You should just never touched a classic. That's that classic. You know what I'm saying. That's my personal opinion. And Part two is not Part one. It's

it's for what it is, you know school. I love Part two too, That's cool. I really really love part too. Are you love part too? Yeah? I love part too. Only seeing this whack is when the kids starts to rap, Like what the fund is that? Like, what the what the are you doing? Like? It was it was a little that who wrote that the kids start rapping and ship and they get married and they were doing and get off or something. I don't know, the Pettiana Taylor. It was just it was just that part was just

what's going on? Okay? So this is you picking one or the other, or you pick both. We take a shot, all right, or or neither or neither. We take a shot. All you ready? Jay z or nas nas DMX A two pop DMX. He's watching you too, in case you don't know that, all right, Eddie Murphy or Richard Pry Eddie, Chris Rockemar Allowance. I'm gonna take a shot of water. Who's step it up? Look I was posting it, I was coasting. But you know I'm gonna taking a shot,

my guys. Man, I don't know if I'm saving this ship, if I'm sharing this. This is just that good ship right here. Okay, it's that biggie baby, this ship. Yeah, this ship. Put here in your chest, even though I got too much already, y'all. You know, we don't know if you know what our show was about giving our legends day respect by they here. You deserve your flowers. Man. We can't sing it with water. That's bad luck. But we're going I do on puarter Veacan. I'm trinting that

in drink your shot, you're drinking on his bath. Yeah, good looking out, okay. Mike Epps, Mike Epps or Chris Tucker Mike Epps forty eight, I was a Beverly Hills cop. Forty was Beverly Hills cop. Okay, Hollom Knights are coming to America, first America. Why isn't there Hollom Knights too? Man? I wish make that ship. No, no, no, no, no, they should have made that movie maybe a year after the first one, but not Hold On Knights Too. But

I've versioned up that. No, no, no, no, I'm talking about Richard Eddie red Fox, the whole cast they should have. I wanted to see that. I wanted to see where they moved to after they they killed the mobsters off and all that. Damn, that's a he got my whole ship. Say Matt Damon, Macaul Damon, Michael Dammit made a new nigga Okay, biggie, big punt Punt and Leving couple on Mad TV. This is a whack one man. The Living Color Man, come on, let me rephrase that. And Living

Color or Dave Chappelle Living Color. Much love to Chappelle though like he would he would. I'm sure he was influenced by the Living Color too. Okay Friday or house party for me, House party because he would kid play, Yeah what you did with your rock video. We're gonna get that. You don't get to that. Hold On treat him Ja Cole or Kendrick Cole. The hometown from North Carolina homes no he but he got the bars to back it up. But also because he's from Faying Okay,

I'll cast them all. D D the Locks or me goes Locks? Are you saying a lot of this ship with confidence? I liked Face scared face or ice cube Q podcast or radio podcast? This one? I'm sure? How are you going to answer this camera? Or Jada kiss kiss? Okay? L A or Miami l A. You're in Miami where man Ray Coron or ghost Face, ghosts Red or math Red nineties or two thousand Hip hop nineties. Loyalty or respect? Loyalty?

Will Farrell or Jim Carrey. Jim because the fire Marsha Bill he's before Will so he inspired that Jim carries a genius. Dave Chappelle or Kevin Hart, keV. I'm gonna take a big because of that. I don't know, Jesus. You know Davis out here? You know? Oh yeah, do you comedians? You got like a group chat when you're all in the same you know we actually do you

actually do? All comedians is literally a group chat that I got that barely talking because some people it's like two or three people that talk too much in there in the group chat, but everybody's in the Davis and the like they type too much. You can't be talking in the group chat two months. They do voicemails too. I like voice because they disappeared. Yeah, you didn't do none of his shows and Ohio, you didn't go to the summer cat. Nah. Nah, I wasn't invited. Okay, we neither. Yeah,

I only go where I'm invited. I was somewhat invited. It was brought up, so I just felt like they just felt like invitation. But when when it came to travel, players and arrangements, nobody's gotta go here. I was like, wait, let me tell you who I was growing up. My neighbor can have a party and tell me he as a party. Or if they don't, remind me and say, hey, you still come to the park. I ain't gone, but you're still like that. Yeah, I still like I. I just I need to feel special, like you need to

be like you. Yeah, yeah, you need to invite me twice. He won't do that the other way around. Yes I will, Yes, I will. If I'm don't forget. Okay, you're taking a shot just that Japanese whiskey. You never drink at all, never for man, even when you was Russell getting the models. We're gonna strike that from the record, I never drink it all never never, never drink, never smoked, never done drugs. And I'm sure women try to convince you. I'm sure chick put a little cocaine or as the military, army

brat side of you, I don't with coked. Is that the army brat side of you? Like your parents? No keeping a buck. I grew up in a family of adders, So it was just something that I saw early and just decided it wasn't for me. For us, I wouldn't to drink if I don't do that. The stables here recently and I didn't drink because he had the same type of story and how I knew that. But now I'm already and leaving there. Don't don't judge me, no, no,

it's all looks. I love my family, like, don't get a twisted but mind you, your drunk cousin was like I wanted them to drink it a little bit, a little bit. Let's makes a noise of me. You get about a quarter a quarter down on that? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's it. That's it. Be seen te pain stand with you that he drank a whole bottle of and stop standing. Yeah, we were warried. What you're serious? Yeah? What funny? I know. While we got worried, he was like, you don't got

to drink no more. I was like, I'm always trying to stop it, and you're the worst. He was like yes. His people was like that people trying to stop He was like, no, I'm staying for me some more. So. You ever seen one of your homies get get get bucked up? And he was embarrassed. Yeah, that's that. He keep calling this thing that. Well, I didn't got the best shot in the building. It's his name again, Brandon Coople,

Brandon Lewis, Brandon Lewis. He gave you. That's how you know he know you when they hit you with the first and last name. He got next, he got Okay, you know you're funny. Okay, I'm gonna put you out. You're gonna crash today. He gonna take a shot at hebeke right. Damn man, come on, you're gonna take a shot of this guy. This is this is that good. It's this is with jay Z and them drink. You know what I'm saying. You know I never got to be responsible? Yes, Okayan, he got next, Yeah, he got next.

Where are you from Atlanta? Okay, y'all, niggas is wide open out there. Boys. Yeah, they didn't close, they didn't clothes, the right, nothing, the ship down. So when the last time you put the many pakia? But I didn't? Then, actually I did, I did. I met him once. He showed him the parody and he was laughing like he was hitting my arm and she hurt. He was like hitting your ship like that is very funny. I like, I enjoyed that. It's comedies and it's very good. It's

very good. I can't wait to fight lord. Maybe that's again and very happy to be times. How about Mr Orby? When the last time you see Mr? Or Mr Orby? Drake Drake? Actually I did see Drake about a month ago. What did he say to you? Tell me? He said, uh, that's all he said. You don't he don't talk to you ladies. But like, do you go to light skin meetings? You Drake, mb do you have like sanctuaries? Good up? And you'll say this, I mean, I can't. I can't

tell you because you're not in brow. I'm trying to get you brough the dogskin community. I'm just saying I just got passed with BROWNSI give me. I'm trying to get down with a carn in the group. But in the middle you too much of a spy. You do on the fence. Oh because and he told me you got to go to karate class. Yeah, he said it's a light skin karate class. Jersey's karate class. They really take karate in my mind. Oh, y'all stick around. I do know how to kick? Yeah, real, real, okay, some

some blood spoil ship. Yeah, some Bruce Lee ship. Really, Holy moly moly, you just do it all? Which is what? Oh? Yeah, that's right. You fun with Bruce Lee. Yeah that's right. I saw that too. What's going on? What's going on? What's going on at right? You know? Yeah, how did you develop that? Like, Bruce Lee? How did you develop that? Like? You know, I was a Bruce Lee fan and I developed kicks kicking and you went to see the movies.

The movies different like this exactly all that ship. Bruce spoke English though, I'm talking about the count fool fixed. Yeah that's the yeah, semur run run short movies us my ship. Yeah, send the pede. I don't do it again, do it again? I must look The one thing you have to understand. Sleep spoke English really tall like this and if you watched Into the Dragon, that's my real hoints. So don't you understand. Don't concentrate on the finger or you will miss all that heavenly goal spot Be like

water said, be water water. That's why I only dream water. I always thought that was some hot ship. Be like water. No, it's that's real. It's a dope philosophy. Also feel like that if you are masculine, I'm just going like, that's a that's a masculiney be like water like what then? Does that mean? Yeah, you're ready? Yeah, it took thirty years to get come up with that ship flow. So you when when a person calls you for a movie, do you tell them you accept the role? Do you

always make it a little bit piece of yours? Like you mean, do I accept it as it is? Like? Yeah, that's what somebody got you, They get your page. You have to bring your own essence to it, you know what I'm saying, Like you have to while creating the character. Does that make sense? Yeah? But when could you not like you're saying, like, be strict. I mean that's to play this role this way or else. Yeah, I'm not.

I mean there's there's a bit of that. Like the director and the writer have their vision of who the character is, and so you do sometimes lose yourself in that character in the dialect if you're good at it. Some people do dialects. But she shouldn't try him. Um, But like if they told you to be a gang member named Pedro, how are you coming out? Well, I was a gang member named right right nig in that house,

so I already knew how to do that. NIGGI. All right, I'm seeing him what I'm saying, Amy, all right from that light NIGGI. But how about the Mexican gang mbo from l A Pedro Pedro? I mean, come on, you're asking me to do some very simple ship. Asked me to do some hard ship. Bro, Bro, you're sucking you. I know that food. I know that that's exactly the guy he comes out in the rap stuff. So how I don't have you live in l A three years, twenty three years coming from off Carolina? Man, I love that.

Later that's I'm in Woodland Hills. Oh that's the black area. No, that's Boarding Hills, Okay, Woodland Hills. Okay, um remember Will Farrell had a Um, yeah, Tyler Daga Knights and he was getting high with the Woodland Ferries. What the connection you You don't you don't remember that, but I don't know how you connected this. Does anybody know what? Listen one little fairy? Yeah he was, he was getting high.

He was working for the skating ring and then they caught him and it was like, yo, when I met you, you was a top rate skater and now you get hired with the Wooden Ferries. And he said, me and the Wooden Ferries in the area nine. That's not telling that. That's some blades of yay. I love dumb movies, me too. What's your favorite dumb movie? Dumber to only ship one or two? They snipped up one. You're telling me too? Didn't live it up? Damn for real? It did look

like we said about coming to America. I feel like some movies just don't need you don't need to. It's so classic you don't need to touch them. I mean, but Godfather disputed that. But it's different because they they was in the same time. They got worse, they didn't get better. The last one was not That was the worst one. Yeah, the last one was the second one was probably the first to the second one. There you go. That's saying rocky movies got better. I even think that

the new ones were the best ones. Yeah, not curious got better, but they don't subscribe. I saw a fast and furious one. That's it, fast furious. I've never seen anything so whole. There was too much, I think. But rule was in there. That's it. It was even on ludicrous. Nobody, nobody, jeez, Louise, Papa cheese. So yeah, so the golf all there is one that got better. I don't know. The last one was the worst one. But that's three. Two got better.

So two was better than one too, example of I mean, but yeah, I'm just saying it doesn't get better all the way through all the time and doesn't get better, but it has been scenarios. Stay property too is definitely better than Stay Property one. Let's just make some she say, Cady, Caddy, Caddy check too. Reber Hill's Comfortable was not the first one. Part two didn't. It wasn't Number one another forty eight

hours pretty coming to America just went through this. Brother, Are you in this room with those yea it's not. It's not part one. But I did love Coming to America too. I was one of those guys that stood on it. I said, I only didn't like the rapping part. Other than that, and when they said that they was getting married in Queen's and they clearly said East elm Hurst, and I was like, that's not East elm Hurst because I'm too a catched to that area. But other than that,

I thought it was dope. I thought it was dope for it to be twenty years later and still have something. I thought Tracy Morgan, Tracy Morgan was crazy. I thought the woman Lastlie, Yeah, I thought she really looked. I love everyone in it, Everybody like, that's my fan, right. I just think the structure of the movie, compared to the first one, you didn't do it for me the

same way the first one. Have you Have you watched the first one in recent years to know what I'm saying, because there's something to say about when you're younger and you watch something and coming to America. Never gonna have that again. You know, it's at least a hundred times throughout my years. I know that movie inside of McDowell's is up the block. In my hood. That's serious. You know, that's serious. I rolled the bike up there to see

Eddie Murphy. There's like no little. I think the building is going now though, right, I don't. I think because it's the McDonald's is actually a real mcdown. I think they think they got rid of it. Oh no, no, no, no, that's there. It's there. It's there, right, But that's there like a motherfucker. Yeah, McDonald's is actually a McDonald's. Yeah no, I know, but I thought they put an apartment building over there. All the other ship with the barbershop was

all that. That's all going, all that's made up, but that mcdown. I mean they didn't used that McDowell's on his part too. Part one, Like I really drove up there. They put the mcdowals into in the desert. Yeah it was. It was hilarious. They put it in the jungle. They wild it out, they wild it out. So what's next for you? Producing? Man? I just I just produced another show. I can't say what it is anything yet. What white people again? Again? It's big. You've been getting a white chair.

This makes you use point. It's big. But yeah, I'm putting on my producer hat Um, we gotta we're about to produce stand up specials for people like Brandon Lewis, Um, people that have voices that that networks don't necessarily come and give them a shot right away. But because I'm in the trenches with them, I'm like, I want to produce the ship because I produced my special. So it's like, I know what it takes to to really take that budget and make it make a special look great. I

mean now recently, it was not recently. A couple of years ago, I was a big dispute about Monique and she figured out what she was worth nothing. You have to go through something like that where always you you always have to fight for what you're worth. There's gonna be people sometimes even on your own team, that don't see your worth, and you have to take your stands if you really, if you know that you can deliver, fight for what you are worth. That's what I believe

in that. You know what I'm saying. Um, you know the Monique situation, I don't. I don't know enough about it to comment on it. But she she did what she felt was right, So I ain't. I'm never mad at somebody trying to get their food. Why would I be mad at that? Yeah, I don't know. I ain't mad at me taking another habiki. Neither you should. What's his name, Brandon, Let's bring him in. Let's bring him on, bring up a chat man. We're gonna we're gonna give

him a minke gut that. If this is your next special, we gotta do it. Man, let's work. Brandon Lewis, Brandon Lewis, Okay, are you come let yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, so we got it. It's working. That might work with no wires. Let me see. Yeah, I think that. I think they're trying to jerk you man, like you've been talking all kind of ship. Don't get picked up. It would be like, yeah you like the sound, We're gonna get you one

shot of Japanese whiskey man, one shot. No you can't take water, no, no, no, I gotta okay up on the side. Okay, solute whisky inside of the water. I respect you because we form the cat where the great Cob County, Cobb County. Oh, that's outside of that, that's where the police don't play. They don't play at all. They don't play no game. I left some weed in the hotel one time I called the hotel. They said, don't come back. I said, no, I said that work.

I got the funk up out of the carb County world. So how did you link with um? I'm moved to l just was grinding, as you know, coming just because that's what we gotta do. You gotta grind. Mak your name and the clubs are literally in the ship and the club, like going from club the club, you know, before the pandemic, so you know, just grinding and then you know, when you grind, you run into you know, and ye would laugh out loud. What is that? That's

Kevin Hasn's network. Yeah, you're not down with that? With that? No, I did my They licensed my special again, which one the Black, Black and Red Ship's your favorite marror to society. I shot that independently. I own it and I licensed it to them. They didn't buy it. It wasn't something where they gave me the money to do it. I licensed it. So now I'm about to get another deal for it because I own it. I like to tell that story because the rights revert back to you. God

damn it. Come on, you know about the rights reverting back? Yes, we do that episode so boom. So you see him performing, Yeah, what do you say, I'm gonna put him under my when you say at the time, I had another feature he u he booked a TV show and so I was looking for another feature and okay, what's the feature feature is? Uh? So when we do clubs, right, there's a host who does about ten minutes feature that's about thirty and I'll do an hour headline does it out? Um?

So I was looking for a feature going to roll with me because the hip hop featured me something to features the man opening. Yeah, that's called the feature. That's fine because I know what the feature feature in the hip hop. You just get it. Somebody'll call somebody who doing before you open calling? Open up? That's what I didn't want to make a kill one. Sorry, but yeah,

I was looking for a feature. And I was just asking around for different different people because it's not just about who's funny, it's about who I'm going to get along with on the road personality wise. Who got good energy? And my men said? He said Brandon Lewis, and I was like, oh ship. And I remember seeing him at at a club in l A. And I was like, yo, no, no, no, trying to makeup ship. I know, I know Chinese that Matt Damon's up and that's not Matt Damon's other guy.

We did um Western Yeah, Westley snics brun me to the Chinese movie did for are the Wall at the Wall places and he had I'm sorry, I'm sorry, but hit him. But philippinovnges around. I'm sorry. You're talking about this spot in Hollywood, right, it's not called the Chinese Movie Theater. Yeah, that's the Chinese Theater. Yeah, well I know that's seen kind of racist, but he really did.

I went to see all the way but yeah, they used to have a comedy night there and and I saw him performing, and yeah, the first show we did. What I what I liked about his style was he was freestyling the first fifteen minutes, Like we talked about earlier, we got into a new city, neither neither of us had been there. How you know he frees styling because he was talking about just the same way. You know he talked about the ship on the wall, you're talking

about people in the crowd. You're talking about some ship we just saw in traffic on the way up to the I knew, Yeah, I know, you know, you know Bars when you were Bars and so he was. He was going in and I was like, this motherfucker is like timing is crazy. And his material was dope. So when he flowed right into the material, it was flawless. I was like, Yeah, we're rocking, and we'll be rocking for how many years now? Three? Three? Almost four? Tuss me up. I want to line the line of the

marketing right, look at it. You bet your performer tonight? Yeah, before we have performer, yeah, exact social Let me sorry, sets already committed, already committed. Let me let me say this, man, I back you up, man. I want to take a shot. You take a shot, not just big you up man, because you know we've been we've been seeing each other over the years. We'll running to each other. You always like, yo, come down to come down, let's build. You know what

I'm saying. And you check your word. And as soon as I knew I was coming to Miami that first place, I said, I need to come to make I'm taking my shot. Baby. That makes some noises classic. Yeah, we were just trying with the horns. Classic, bro, That just that, that's what makes the show so this this African guy. He runs around, He's doing ship on the side of the car. He's happiest guy. Cousin Skeeter, he got a name,

he was he was. We just called him to dance of African you know what I'm saying, Like, and then do not only do a video with him, you find the same outfit. Yeah, he brought that, brought that because he got his own that's his brand. That's his brand. Oh he's a marketing genius. Because I didn't want to tell y'all talking about who is this person? He just

be looking too happy. But he jumped out the car and you know, he came to l A and he was just like running around doing different collapsed and he was always like again showing each other flowers and giving each other flowers and saying we need to collapse meet up and we did it and the j But what what was what was what was crazy was I thought he was gonna smoke you like when because it was

like a dance off. It was like because y'all was kicking, he wasn't battling though to me, to me, I'm outside, look no cap I'm I'm really a dancer. You really really the way he said, we wasn't batting like you would have happen. No, No, he's dope. He's dope. But what you're saying, I'm from the b boy ever the rock Steady Crew to beefing right now. You know what I'm saying. I feel like right, I feel like you beat your right life. He's not lying like this, nigga,

be like, you can tell it. This nigga gets stretched like because we're ship like because you and Chris Brown, I felt like you and Chris man like if you if you ever talked to Chris Brown, just asked him about Apians dance pedigree. He know that's my guy. That's a little bro. I'm saying the way you just said dance pedigree. I'm gonna tell you, I'm gonna talk my ship. I'm gonna do you like Jadid. Look, this is what I do. We had my I don't live in Cleveland.

Put the live in Cleveland. Why did he say that? He said, he said Colorado, lived at Colorado. He just just naming the school places. That sounded great everywhere. He said, Holy what you stood up with the dance so you said you're really a dancer. You really smoke chrism No, I didn't say. I didn't say Rusher an he smoked any competitive you got the bet that's the verse you want to say. This is no, not to nobody. I'm just I'm a school y'all on on dance knowledge. I

would battle Usher. I would not battle Chris Brown. And I'm gonna tell you why. Ussher is not a natural dancer. He's choreographed and over the years he's gotten really good. Chris Brown is a natural born dancer and is incredible. Light sking. You were not invited. You might be giving you too much to you and ushers in the same class, like saw the whole house just for them. You got a cart car Highlights, you gotta see the sketch up put up my idea a few days ago from my

old show. But Highlight it's like like scooping Twilight about the first light skinner, the first light skin thing. What the first light skinning they ever? Wow? Okay, okay, I need that. It's a parallel universe. She was fine, right, So, um, you you got a girl. Where's that going? Yeah? I'm asking like, is this going a family? Man? I'm saying, look at when you're a new artist, when you're a new artist in hip hop, you want to be smashing anything.

I don't there. So I'm saying you, as a new comedian, you're not finger popping. No, no, you know out there. Look comedian, we don't get the same love as rappers. Like comedians. We don't get like the group e's and like they're hanging out and screaming like but I like that. I like said, we get big women bringing us food backstage, but it's not let's get flu shirts like Mama today like that. Yeah, yeah, that's a group of come come by the restaurant tomorrow where yeah it ain't like a picture.

What the men you and we'll get your free meal. I went to I went to a Mic Epps show backstage in Miami and it was the calmest er curtsy backstage, and I was like, what the Had it been a hip hop show, it would have been so much. I was the only guy smoking weed. People were looking at me. I was like, no, I got my medical car because I really do you know what I mean? But I was sitting and I was like it was calm. No one touched each other's chicken like you was safe. Comedians

are serious and hip hop. I'm going to Jaida room. He say you, I'll give you that bottle back after the show, you know what I mean, Like like we've vilated each other. Different you guys, you guys have respect for each other. It's different. Yeah, we're serious, that's it. It's just I think it's it really takes a lot nothing. It doesn't take a lot for rappers, but it takes

a lot to get that dollar with a joke. So by the time you get a little bit of something and you, you know what I mean, you want to make sure you you protect that. And then I think I respect his dressing room because I know how hard he worked to get what he got. So I'm not gonna go in this nigga and take his sa in his room. And but this is thing though, just you're different. Yeah, you know it's us. It's all rap. We all do it to be. But comedy, we don't know how you're

gonna react. See, Like rappers, y'all know because the record playing, like we can play the records exactly, you can know the reaction. But even if you know, like a you know you came to see him, you still don't how ye when you hear him. So it's just like it's it's the gratification as far as like if you funny at not or if you're not funny, you're gonna get

it immediately. So let me actually, yall repeat material or doesn't always have to be exclusive every every city you repeat, Like when you get your act or your set, you repeat that show. So if you have an act or set for smoke Champs, let's just say that I didn't even realize that it's doing a Smoke Champs Shore. There's fourteen days. So for those four teen days, as long as those cities don't repeat, you use the same act.

Even if you're in the same city and you're doing doing tonight, yeah, like I had two shows to night. I'm not gonna do two different hours. You had someone that came to multiple shows and they were like, I already heard this because they're just ignorant to the fact that you do that. Most people that come to the show, they want to see it again. It's like seeing the movie. They're like, oh man, that ship was funny. So they come back they know what to expect and they like

what you do. So it's not difficult for you to repeat it. Not at all I know, I got a home fresh audience. So if it's one mother fucking in there that's gonna complain about Nick, you came back. I didn't ask you to come back. You came back and see me. I didn't say, hey, come back to the next show. I'm doing a whole new hour. Nigga that if you're bombing and the nigga yell, we heard that ship already, that's the word. That's somebody already taking. They

already going, and you know that Walmart ship. That's what happens to some people. And and now it's it's getting around as a rule of thumb that you don't do. But some people, after they release a stand up special, they've tried to do those same jokes. I've seen that on the Show's disgusting, and the people are like, hey, niked, what else you got. I'm a real comedy fan. That's disgusting. Yes, if I can see your max and then see your ship and the motherfucking the same ship, man, that's why

it's so hard. Yeah, it's lazy for a comedian, But that's why it's so unfair because rappers y'all could do that. They want the same ship they want the classics. If you don't do the class gonna be mad. That's true that when you come to music. But I'm too much shaping the same show together. I could do the same classes, but I have to do it differently. You have to do it. You have to take a beat of a superdrug and I gotta replace that with you know something else,

Like you have to happen this way. You know, you're doing the same material, but you're you're, you're, you're, you're doing it in a different way. So this way I do a tour. I would never do that that way again. How are so if you bomb doing the same material, do you say okay, how much changes? Or you just keep at it. You gotta work out until it gets funny, Like there might be a nucleus of an idea, but you just haven't worked it out all the way, and

then there's just some material that's just bad. Like some material might be great. It's just how you timed it. How you time it, and then how you word it, maybe how you place it within the set. It might work better at the end or in the middle, or if you add another element to it. Never so right now, this is this is canceled culture. Right, you say anything about anybody, Yeah, you could be kissing. It must be

the toughest time. I don't mean I don't give a funk about but here's the but here's the thing that we still get a pass as comedians. It's just it's just lately it gets extremely awkward, like like if I say since something about you know, the gay community, it will get extremely awkward. Where it's like if I don't

have a reputable name and it doesn't make sense. My brother, my brother the jaffrom Carbonne continued the show bro continue look Jared or like Miami Vice for contin So no not but like you know, it gets awkward and like even if you have a name, it has to be funnier. Then if I don't have enough, I don't have it's gonna offer the crowd. I lost the crowd because because

comedy used to be the safe place. Like when we started the show, I placed us in the comedy category and we ended up changing the music because I was like, we don't get canceled, say like if we put ourselves in the comedy section, there's people will be a little bit more like lenient with us and whatever saying they'll they'll tolerate some of ship, and then we changed the music. In my opinion, you've been threatened to be canceled. No, I'm about to I'm about to kill that right now.

In my opinion, we put too much, we get too much power to cancel culture. It's all bullshit. And I'm gonna tell you why. Kanye West, he'd been canceled. Kanye West. Every he is the genius who this nigga hugged the devil with the mega hat on, and everybody's like, fun that nigga, We're not dealing with him no more, blah blah blah. Multiple times they want to cancel Kanye all kind of thing. Are you dealing with him? And you got the easy zone? And then and then I'm driving

a new album. I forgive you man, nigga. Did you see how many people in Atlanta last night? Yeah? So that's proof that if you just we're in a society where everybody's attention span is so fucking short, you can say some ship tomorrow and get canceled, and then two weeks later you drop a new single. Oh that new noise. I agree with his's apart, I don't his apart just

slightly have a separate opinion. I agree with everything you just said, but I feel that Instagram made other people feel so important, and even the people that social media alsocial media make people feel so important that they were like, I'm giving these cancel or not. I want to be the first one I have a picture with them, so everyone would just go and just disregard to everything else. That's what I feel. I feel like this is all of that plays into it. I don't believe. I don't.

I'm not concerned about cancel culture because I know these things got short attention span. I think we only got one out of my I got three comedians who don't give a fuck and will continue to say Paul Mooney, Patrise O'Neil, and Koreoker rest to pieces first piece of Paul treat to treat my man. That's that's the homie only it's Corey Court. Don't give a funk. If you go to a court, help me your live, you don't

give us. He beat up other comedian that we had on here, every spars that's Corey hold him right, he beat up. He beat him up. Yeah, fucking YouTube, act like your question. It was it was the show after this, you know it wasn't It wasn't Corey. It wasn't Corey because his co host him and he's got yeah, the same ship to me, you know what I mean, Like, it's not Corey nor bars. Yeah, Corey, you come to see us, have a different story. Can come and come and see us. So you never got cancer, you never

got threatened to be canceled. Never, I mean I personally. Again, I don't I say what I mean, so I don't. I don't. But you also said that you're careful, not careful, but I do. I do it tactfully. So I try

to do everything tactfully. But if someone wants to be hyper sensitive to something I say, I said what I said, that's the danger cancel cultures just depending on any I don't like the way you sounded, the way your mannerism worthy me, and then I'm trying to cancel you, right, And that's too much freedom for them, for them things that I don't. I don't play into that. I'll say what I say. Goddamnit, let's make some noise for that said. That's that's the proof season because I'm not gonna lie.

I was scared for comedians at one point because um, like I said, I looked to y'all to get me out if it's a situation. It was so funked up and not eleven, you know, when I'm going through all that, that's what I'll look for. I look for the next specially for comedian to kind of make fun of it without offending somebody. But I'm not a person who can say who's offended or not, though you know what I'm saying. But I always wanted a person to make fun of it,

so you can make light of the situation. Not like we're making light and it's always gonna situation in its totality, but we want to you know, like that ship was. That was our first quarantine. I was living in New York when I could you live. I love New Jersey at the time, when I could just go out and look and see the actually twin towers burning like we couldn't go into the city. Our phones wasn't working. So

that's our first quarantine, right. That was one of the first things I looked for was not to how do they make funny of this situation, but how do we how do we have fun period? Find some sunshine? Yeah, how do you yeah, yeah, yeah, so now but but now with all this ship, like, um, I think I've seen the Plastic bag boys. They made up a couple. Yeah, it does remake right, everybody names the clicking bag was I confident. I was confident. I was just watched bad boys.

I think I ready to look up the plastic I think I can Funny, I think I can Plastic bag boys. Crockett what Bavy Crockett rocket cool? Alright, I'm syllables in your ship. When I seen the plastic cup boys, I was like, I said, I think I could go after them. Do you say that I think I could hang with them like comedy wise? You think so? No, suy want to. I wantch my buck list. I think I'm gonna. I

think I'm gonna try out. You gonna try to stand up or specifically you gotta end against the plastic No, no, he wants to do. I want to do but shout out. But I want I want, I want to. I want to go through plastic coupboy training and your training. All right, I'm gonna I'm gonna go through it time type of I think. I think I think I can hand. I'm gonna take you to I've seen Nick Cannon. Now I'm already a buck. You know what I'm saying, Like he good,

shout out the Nick Canadon. He's good. He could have picking talent, but he don't really got it, you know what I mean. That's not true though I think he's I'm gonna disagree. I ain't let me stop. I'm gonna disagree. I'm gonna say. I'm gonna say I said it. I said it publicly a lot of times. Nick is he's talking. He's hilarious, and he's a genius. Yes. And I was able to work with him on Wild and Out, Yes, very closely to see how this nigga multitask like six

different jobs as the producer, creator, host, talent. That is genius. Yea. And I might say he's very funny. Sometimes it doesn't always translate with the way he delivers it or whatever, but with the people, but that nigga is a genius, and I feel like he don't get the just due for it. I agree. I'll just say I'm coming. I got you whenever you're ready, man, I'm coming. Whatever you're thinking that thinking it's a joke, that's that's the part that's of all man, man, man, I love comedy. I

love comedy, man, I just love it. Period um with this, with this cancel culture, keep going out? Is it is it? Is it gonna be watered down? Now we're gonna get that version of Mike absence. He can't say this, He can't say this the next your next special, you can't say this, is it? I mean, because that's just where

it seems like like kind of my heart. Actually literally went on apology toil and still didn't get the job, Like you know what I'm saying, like like, I mean, you know, he's rich as ship, so I don't feel sorry for him like that, but I didn't. I'm sorry for the situation because I was like a stand though, okay.

I mean he apologized first, and then when they wanted him to keep apologizing, that's when he was just like, no, I'm not gonna keep I'm not gonna keep tap dance for you, and that sincerely said what I said, I apologize sincerely, and and y'all keep wanting to and every talk show he went on, he was like, yo, I'm not talking about to stop asking me about this ship. So he declined the job, and I think the difference

is going forward. That probably is like he apologized for that particular gig, which is this the structure that you know is asking for him to apologize. We just gotta keep creating our own jobs, what I'm saying, and make those and amplify those jobs to pay well. And then that that well, you don't have to succumb to those type of situations. That's the real TALKO. Ownership for me is key. So we don't have to keep asking. I don't. I don't like asking. I just produced. God damn it,

God damn it. So Paul Mooney, oh, I don't trust none of these niggas. Oh you don't. Don't say my name unless you want all this smoke that comes along with the niggas. Okay, I've seen you know. I met Paul Mooney on and your teeth are whitter than those people. These people. I said, I said, well, I want you to come up my show. It was this is the time with your guys. Ran into um black panther. Oh man yeah yeah. And I see Paul Mooney and passed and he was walking by. I was like, yo, man,

I got it. Must have told him like yo, that's nori. The rapper, and then I asked about the show and he was he like, what does they just say? They just just said he just said he's rapp show and it must have said yo, and he said, oh no, no no, this is before cancer goes. It was hot. I can't do home when pressure like you. He's like you no, no, no, young brother, you don't want me on your show that you want to get cancle. We

wanted him on the show. And I looked at him and because that word wasn't popular at the time castle, so I really didn't know what the funk he meant. So I was just like, Okay, it was hilarious. I laughed. But then I thought about it after he passed, said, oh ship, he might have was trying to give me a jewel, like because he definitely what he meant the show getting canceled, which the TV before the cancer. He was like, if you don't want you want your show

to last? Yeah, he thought we was the network owners, They just don't want me. One were black TV. We oh man, So who I think we established it? Who your favorite comedian was? Wasn't that Eddie right? Who's your favorite comedian? Earthquake m hm and Earthquake is the first comedian that discovered me and gave me my first comedy dollar. Okay, I gotta figure out who Earthquake is. Let me figure You don't know who earthquake? Is it the big homie? No, he's not big. He chunky? Um, that's the y think.

Is he the one who just hung out with Dave Chappelle on the rooftop of Okay? Yeah, yeah, just shot special he just produced. I think he shot off. He's a d C O g yea oh wow, because it's from d C two, right, he in the middle class of d C two. He's saying that he's like he ain't from the hood. I like that he'd been rigging down. Your favorite comedian is ef question because he was the first comedian to take me on the road. Yeah. Also, but it's not that, but you got out the step.

But yeah, you guys knew you had that in common. You said he was the first comedian to give you back. Didn't know that, you know, Yeah, we didn't know when you was his feature. No, No, you saw me before Bob something that saw me in Charlotte and put me on that comedy jam. Earthquake was the first big comedian that saw me and thought I had potential and brought me down to his club in Atlanta and paid me. That was my first money that I made as a comedian,

because he was in a young comedian. I was only months in. He was interning before that. No, nigga, he made up his own body after you worked at Jennis. You know what I'm saying, because that's how a lot of comedians you don't want to do. They do it for free right until sure know, well, we don't call it interning, but we definitely we had a point. He had a point at that though. In Soyphisticated had a lot of interning radio Radio two radio is that I'm

not gonna say the name. But in Charlotte, okay, I'm gonna do name Nick Quick in radio sounds familiar. No, you don't know you name? I should started asking this thing about names. I just gotta gotta google a face. I know you do know who knows? Is right? Come on? Brother? Yeah? Absolutely not? Can you explain pick up the nas new album Kick? Do you know what I'm on? That? On that on that happened to a lot of this publicly. I've done a lot of this on the side I'm

saying Eminem, I thought Eminem dumb this stuff. Now you're like my opinion this and this is him and all that I've been having that so I can never say this and I've been having an opinion. And I don't know if Eminem made this verse for me shifically pacifically. I heard pacifically though it spurs spur, but spur spuracifically. But let me tell you, Eminem, you made me proud man that nas verse? He I don't know he we because this is what this is what I want from him, honestly,

So sorry, I know's gonna sound sucked up. I want Eminem to sound like he's on drugs, so what so what I mean? I like that. I'm honest. I like when Eminem was drugged out. It's my favorite's my favorite artist when he's druged out. So what not so much? Right? He sounded dropped out again? I love it? Are you vias? I mean? I always think m Is is incredible. No, he's increasable. Him is incredible. When he starts talking about drugs,

I love it. I love it. He talked about PURGOSECT Molly puts some in sober, because I'm a sober guy. You don't really prefer the sober. That that's that's I rocked with him here, Lever, let you go. That's ecstasy. I guarantee hasing on ecstasy on that. It's something that's some type of us, some type of one, that's some

type of some ship. He writes some incredible I would like to think that he's on drugs every time, because he was definitely thinking about and the way he bends whole sentences that this new verse, he was definitely on drugs. He wasn't on drugs. I'm just telling you, I feel like that's serious, Like you listen to it, that's like, that's drug that's that's the dude. I've been in love with Eminem over data lyrically, you ask you, are you asking affiliation? I will answer this. I won't answer that,

but I will answer this also. Oh just I said old eminem apology. I also owe Jada kiss apology. And I'm gonna tell you why he's my friend. I get him on face size, very close friend of mine, but for years I never put him in that category with jay Z and with Naas and even with Biggie and Pop for years. I had him in that second category. Right after that class, I had Jada there, and I tell you, he shut me the funk up a lot of people. He showed me knock me guys. I'm your friend, Nori,

but I'm really top five, he said it. I said, silly, apologize maybe because he's we're see. I understand your ranking though, because there's so many m c s, right, But when you're talking about that ten slot, yeah, I understand why you think of the classes because the class you're talking about, I have how live com in challenges like yeah, he texts me to yeah, any time with you, and but there's there's tears. I feel like it's not it's not

I'm not. It's like the the generation that came after the rock him And you know what, I'm saying, we'll take one more shot. Two, ain't gonna do not? What the hell are you doing? Drink chance Zepplin down, let's seven will buy to help it off of a pigeon. You know what, that's the same same thing to me, SAME's the same thing, but not saying I get, I get I killed you. And I still haven't told that to Jay because I got to tell him that in his face. Yeah, no, that's not real. Face to face.

Now we need him, Yeah, I gotta and the whole lots, the whole lots of elite like always been what comedians ever do versus like a version of versus you and Kevin they do No, no, no, they do roast me, which to me is the funniest fucking show, and it's the funniest version of what the versus is. If you do a versus like I kind of after me and Kevin went viral, it would just me and him, like Pepper just what Peper? The group like, like what what? Like y'all was so Pepper like the g it was

like little, it's a little a little bit. It's I think, if you do it versus in the same way that the artists do it and it's just comedians to comedians going back and forth, I think that's gonna get old in about seven minutes. It's not gonna last hour long, Like you're gonna be over talking to each other. Yeah, but don't got to be that way. Just doing the material like the original versus. Remember the original versus wasn't so much of a battle. It's just you do your song.

I do my song comedians, that's what they're gonna want. Right now, Let's just say it was one versus just to funk it up. It messed up. What two comedians do you think it would be? And who got the best WiFi? I don't see it. I don't see comedian versus I see who do you see? What do you see? What were we talking about? Face to face in the theater? Gucci manever dip set locks just at the bunch of niggers on stage, A lot of comedian niggas, and to who's your top? Who's your two comedians that you want

to see? You go at it? Kevin Hark mm hmm, that's actually hit though, I want Mike. But what are they doing? Are they just snapping on each other doing? I think it should be material to do the next two minutes too minutes? Yeah, yeah, that's that's probably the better way. But that's too difficult. That's too difficult. You would have to let them go like either and twenty. You would have to let them do their whole set, because no, I shouldn't be I don't think it should be.

A key said, it got to be like whatever the one joke is boom and then then then whatever, maybe it's not time, it's too fragment. Boom, you go and tell you why. That's another world. I don't know. I'm gonna tell you what just jointed? Okay, you're going too far. Okay. But Chris Rocks of the Greats, he's one of my favorites. I love all of his specials. But the one he did where he was in three different locations and he

edited together. No, it was called Kill the Messenger. He was in the UK, right, he's in the UK, he's in Africa, and he was somewhere in the US and he edited mid sentence some of the jokes. It doesn't it doesn't feel cohesive. So when you have comedians, what Mike Ebbs does one joke and then keV does one joke, I don't know that that what if it was Mark? I feel like you're being two professionals between the end of the day. What makes your comedians be able to bag,

to be able to joke on each other? But that's their shows. Yeah, that's how I feel like it should go back to. I feel like one night, one night, a bunch of nis in the class against said the entertainer, just snapping snapping on suits, who who got the better? I just feel like to make people sign up for it though, because comedy subject, yes, meaning like the hip Joe.

You might not be feeling to be you don't want to laugh today, but you can always feel the record like the Redding can always end up making you do something. You know, but Joe could always make me laugh though I could be in the worst mood whatever. Snapping still a little bit more freestyle. Yeah, and what happened was snapping. And you can tell from their show Your Mama, all them shows at some point, even the best roasters hit a string of bad ones and it just it gets boring,

like everybody's like, that's a bad one. Try again, like when they roasted Donald Trump. Yeah, even those shows they get get sale quick. Yeah, jokes are not like hits. You put on what what what? What? What? What? That's just gonna bang everywhere? Correct, you know what I'm saying. Come on, so maybe you should do a stand up to the beat. Gotta relax. I agree, I agree, it's timeless. Oh my god, oh my god, that's what I feel. I feel like Kevin Hark one night only, Kevin against

Mike Gaps. Let me keep going. Make the call Steve Harvey. You're gonna keep going with a c keep going. I'll be on Crockey. Who your drink again? You're ready against who you're digging? I go salt and pepper again. Michael Blastman Blacksman, who is Michael Blashman was? Who's Michael Blacksmith him? Do you ever see him eat with his hands? He got to stop that. Man, stop man, that's what's no. Man's the way he do it like he's doing it.

Me eat. I'm this guy goes like this. I'm like, I literally and it made me feel like I don't like African food. I don't think I don't like African food. I don't like that. Michael blacks East Ship Niggers, Michael Blacksmith, Michael Blacksmith Smith Nor he got a good you got a good ten minutes, bro, stand up? You can do. Look at his Instagram this He almost made me talk to day. He was like this, and I don't know he's doing this on purpose. He like you, he's looking

at this ship. He goes sorry, he goes like that didn't then he licks all his fingers. I'm like, he's definitely doing It's not the right way it's supposed to eat. The African scene. He trying to show America that you know, we eat and you know what they like you, They give, they feed you. Yeah, we gotta stop an listen, man, we gotta stop. Even in Africa, they're gonna keep keep you if you go to Africa. I just throwing it out there. They don't got light skid brothers like you.

They're gonna think you drink they wore in South Africa right now. Yeah, going down what's the wildest place you ever went to? Say comedy? To say comedy, say you gotta just go there and say the word comedy. It's hilarious. Wild you take off the Saudi Arabia when it was like you can't curse. No, I've never been with it. Really, okay, do none of that. I don't even money, he said, pose Saudi Arabia, do buy right he places where he gets a bad guy say that a long time now,

a long time. Nothing always be wondering because comedians go out there and you know, I went to um get what part of the Middle East, the Middle East because the government actually hired us to actually performed for the for the for the troops oh you mean the US government. US government. Yeah, one time he was just going to the ira not to making it about me. One time he was going to Iraq because you know, in my rhymes I say I'm from Iraq, but I don't mean

Iraq there. So we wrote the US government and said we're going to Iraq. This was this was right how he explained that if we don't know his like like we're not no re fans and we know what the I and you know what you thought he was in the go for Listen, you know what the US government told us you can We can't tell you you can't go, but don't call us anything something for you. You didn't go that US. And this is when I wanted to the US. But there was a show that we had.

It was like in cool, wait some real ship so like some terrorist him you like wenna have you know we were like fucking state did say we're not coming to get you if the ship happened. We definitely said the show like you want to feel like your country gonna come get you right like you you hope. So so where's the wildest place you told Carmedy at after you said it, where did you do like, yeah, like you in Kentucky, like you speaking bourbon Kentucky with the
