I got five TVs and no filer hold on. I'm just want to say there's a normal Peace Parts Committee listening. Yes, no bullshit. You guys deserving and deserving because we know a lot of people committed suicide during the quarantines and all that stuff. Stuff like what you guys were doing probably saved a
lot of lives. Well, and I'm not even talking about the artist side of it. People were vitalizing careers. Did you understand I'm sorry to cut you off. Do you understand that I got dipped to stay in my house? You want to say that again? I got fresh. He went to the club in the next room, and I got to cover in the next room like Nickel Persons is on the night, someone was doing the same thing. I didn't care if Nick see me or not. I
got fresh, Nigga, I was Amazon dot com. You see me all that, y'all You know what I mean, Like y'all held it down, Like y'all really deserve your roses, but it deserve your flowers. That was a great moment in hip hop, and it's from two brothers that on fight and Night. Still yes, and that's the only thing I said. That's the only down for because I feel like Timberland is bringing Missy out tonight. I'm just gonna throw that out there. Is that happening. I'm gonna tell
you straight up, no, No, I'm making this up. I'm gonna take a shot. I just made that up. That's what do you want coming up? I don't feel you're gonna tell us right now, man, No, I would tell you. I don't feel we need no. I like to feel like you know, I ain't gonna lie buster, gone buster, gonna bully one of your stages. No, I don't want no, man, Come on, man, who was the illest person that you told you? There was a fan of you that you was like, wow, it was personal study, all right. So
it's a dope story. Right. So my first album, my first album is not even out yet, and we're in an airport. It's me and a couple of my niggers, and Lauren Fishburn walked past just randomly, like we're like, oh shit, fucking Lauren Trishburn. We don't have no album, so we like talking to see Laurence Fishburn. He's like, yo, man, he loved Lauren Frishburn. No homo. So Jim is sitting there, Jim, it's like, y'all was a choice or Russ And if you call him Larry. He loses his mind. He don't
like to be called Larry. So my man is an ass. So he died, I'm in fact show and got blessed. The day he like, yo, Larry, he looked to be like he looked, He's like, yo, I said, what's up Larry? Ship, So Lauren Fishburn stops and walks over and says, what you just call me? Yes? And the airpoint he's like, what did you call me? He's like, I said, what's up, Larry? What's was happening? So we're like, yo, we fans this stand. The third he tuned in us out. He's like, YO,
why are you calling me larr? He said, because that should name? He said, my name is Lawrence. He said, your name is Larry. Hilarious. I'll get it. Let me tell you this story, so about to do research on it. His name was Larry when he was young, but then after hig your learning he changed at the Lawrence, I guess Larry's will and niggery, and then he did learning, saying he want to be like Propa Black, the Matrix and all this ship. So anyway, he like, man, fuck you.
He telling my man that we like yo, don't listen to him, Jim that just did a scene on New York Undercover as an extra and he active say, Jim was like an extra New York under Camel. That's side you know, no alum out he's promotion ship. So he walks off. You're like, yo, why you do that? Sean, Like, what's wrong with you? Like man, funk that your name is Larry. So we're chilling like sen minutes later, this nigga come back. It's sitting next to us. Be like, yo, man,
don't worry about him. He now he over here, my man Sean over there, be like, yo, man, we fens Jim like, I'm like, my man was just on New York going to cover. If you can help us out with the little acting, a little gigg and all that ship, I'm not helping y'all, And be like, what's wrong man? Like you with somebody who keep calling me laughry my man lean over and say your name is laughing and don't ask me again? Lord fishburn, get up, get out, taking his wallet out, putting my men face. What does
that say? My men is like, I don't care what he's say. Your name's laughery, so we like your fuck him, Man, I'm about to be a rapper. Snicker. My man is acting to stand the third Yo. So the Laura fisherroom. Wow. So he says, Yo, stop acting me for helping. Man. You know what I'm saying, fun, I'm not helping y'all. Just think you gotta understand. So now Jim is basically begging Lord Fishburn. Now I'm like, are you fuck you laughing?
Get the funk out of here, like kissing your glass, man, fucking matter of fact, I'm about to swing on you. So like Fishburn, like you backed up. This nigga pulled some gloves out of his pocket and put on his gloves. So I'm like, I looked at my man team, I'm like, you're about to jump this nigger. So he just looked and walked off like the like a movie, like just walked off into the ship. And I'm like, my man, show like you an asshole? I said, I got tired
of kissing his ass. He was like, nah, he was on the verge of snuffing me. Man, I'm just gonna fall out. You funked up everything, brother, I said, I can't take it no more anyway fast for it than to answer your question. My man is driving my pink range over one day at Halo like stuff like like yeah yeah, like Fish Lawrence Lag whatever. He's like, yeah, camera pink range over. He's like yes, my man, he said, yeah, So that guy love his music. Man, I'm a big
fucking fan of camera man. You let him know that. And I'm like, Lawrence, don't even know that was list in the airport like fucking six years ago that she was going crazy because Nikka called you Larry. Now you're a fan of my music, my nigga. Look look at that, my nigga. So that's an ill person who I would say is a fan who basically shipped on us and told us to fucking kick Rocks and get the funk out of here. Because my man was going crazy on that guy, Lawrence. I was. I was scared. Now, don't
call him Larry. Yeah, yeah, man, you don't like Larry if you want to be laurrenus. Yeah. So back to the versus Um. It was a collective decision, you know, although I called him with um the vibe of what we should do because the deal that we had on the table was amazing. The deal, it was amazing, and we didn't have to move no luggage out of the house. But imagine having like one of the biggest deals ever
and not being happy about it. Can I stopped before on a second because everyone kind of thought when we started to see Apple TV pop up, that's what y'all was doing the deal. So so what happened is if you can say it's business, it's not nothing personal. It's just business. You know, shout out to Apple, shout to La Jackson. We had a great time. They they they you know, they supported us and helped us elevate to a different level. And we appreciate all the support from everyone.
But that you know, we can't just only be creatives. We have to be business people. Like this is the music business, the creative business, and a lot of people leave out the business parts when all the business people are taking advantage of the creative. You see what I'm saying. And so, you know, I was luckily to be able to go back to school and shopping my pencil and actually really lock in and and have a focus with strategies.
And although me and Tim didn't start versus thinking about business or thinking about finances, it just happened to turn into that, which is why it was so beautiful, and it just it just happened, you know, the universe just happened to want to just do extra things for us. Um. But we were just basically having fun. But when it when it started coming to the business, we had to be shop as well because people started coming to you with business. It wasn't like you planned that people started
coming to you because of the numbers just gone. We turned down so many, so much, We turned out so much and everybody, we turned down everything. Only the reason why we turned down everything was because you know, um, everybody wanted to get go to the penthouse. Like first, they just wanted to just go to the penhouse. They didn't even want to know the structure of the building. They just knew it was a quick ride to the penthouse, a quick ride with our culture, quick ride in the
v I p with our culture. And we're gatekeepers of our culture. So we can't allow that, you understand. So when it came to making this decision, I was like man and I was me and timidtic kind of sense. It's like, yo, I always see like one or two of us getting the bags and being a part of the big picture. But it's it's a it's a group of us that make these apps work and that make
these different things for giving it the value. So my thing is like, imagine if we could bring forty three artists with us to go ring the bell and you know, and and go public. You know what I'm saying, like this is this when when when when Triller go public, this would be the biggest creative public offering in the history ever, ever, ever. And even the artists that we gave our personal shares too, they don't even probably understand what it's gonna be yet, but we have good intents.
And it was like, Yo, these people started and they showed up with us, and they should go all the way to ringing that bell and and go on public with us, And it's just what we're supposed to do. We should get people used to taking kids three and fifty artist because people don't know probably what you're talking about, that you gave shares, your personal shares to the folks that had already done vers versus up to that point, right, yeah, yeah,
and which is unheard of. Nobody's doing deals like that, no, because you know, every artist was compensated in some type of way for doing versus or just whatever. We let them keep everything. We took nothing from the artists, like when they get a sponsor, they keep the money when
they get bringing sponsors or whatever. And you see a lot of things on stage, it's because me and Tim agreed to let the artists eat and do what they need to do towards and that happening different things than that happening, you know, And they're coming out and in a hard time of COVID. Of course you bring a sponsor. Of course you can keep all of your sponsor money. We're not taxing you on nothing. And then we come back around and be like, yo, guess what on behalf
of Tim and Swiss? Not only are you partners and versus your owner in Trailer, which is a billion points something value company. Wow, you understand that's today, that's not even with the I P O. Public. Yeah, but that that all makes sense. Later he makes a noise for that, Tim, im and be honest, I think get into the shot. I'll fun with you, man. So now let me fast forward. Boom, you work with Naws. You do this as and J actually have this moment against each other. Jay uses you
as a punch line. He says, I know who I pay god Like publishing. Yeah, he said, but you weren't getting paid Dog, you were getting fucked. Then I know who I paid Dog, Starchily Publishing. So the story of the true story about that, it's really crazy. I don't know, I don't know. It's a great story. So I'm the head of hr at def Jam and uh, they're about to put out that Reasonables Doubt and Kareem I think
it was Kareem. It was either Kareem Dame and Jay or Dame and j come to my office and said, hey, you gotta clear this sample, this dead president sample. Take care of us. I said, okay, no problem, give me but just no, we're gonna have record on the publishing. He was like a right cool, and I was it. He gave me a check for I delivered it to Zambo. But if you look at the loner notes on dead Presidents, nas is one of the publishers. So I said, yeah, that line can live as much as it lives. But
Jay don't own a piece of Naz's catalog. But Nazzos and piece of Jay's catalog. And that's a fact. Though we didn't know that. We didn't because we don't like when He said that stas like publishing that um that he was meaning that that NAS and have none of his publics. No no, no, no, no no no, but I have a Yeah, I have a five percent admin fee, which I'm like to this day on those two albums. I just make sure like things like if NAS wants
to do it, I just signed off. I said, like for me, like when I think about being a production company, right, I think there's two trains. I thought. Train one is the artists ain't ship and the production company makes all the money. Right. What a second train is the artists ain't ship, and I'm gonna figure out how to jerk the artists. That's most of how hip hop is running
their production companies. I had a third train of thought, which was I wasn't gonna be the jew to take take advantage of a black man, so I don't need to get wealthy off and I don't. My checks are very humble, and I'm okay with that because they're gonna go for the rest of my life. You know, when you think about streaming today, right, and you think about all mattic Ellmatic stremes four hundred million a year to
this day, I get my fair share. I don't get more than I deserve, I don't get less than I deserve. I get exactly what the contract says, in fact, and I'll keep it a book with all of y'all. Two thousand seven, I get a letter from Sony. They say, oh, we we overpaid you, so you're not gonna be getting a check. And my lawyer goes, oh, we're gonna sue and us we're not gonna let it rock. Well, we'll rek cool eventually. We're really cool, and we did like
ten years because I don't give a fuck. What was the basis of them saying they overpaid They that the artist royalty that I got paid was congruent with what NAS was supposed to get paid. So I essentially got NAS royalties, but NASA didn't. It wasn't minus drof nazis ship. They basically paid like it was like double dipping. So they paid me exactly what they're paying NAS. But it wasn't accurate either, because the fact of the matter is NAS was that like X amount of points and I
was at three. So that was the only correction we told them, And after they made that correction, they fixed it. We kept it moving. It was done when and done, but it took like ten years for me to ever see another check and again. I'm okay with that because to me, the ability to earn isn't about one thing, right I learned a long time ago. It's not the
strong who survives. It's a flexible right. So I would much rather fight Mike Tyson then a yogi, because Yogi's gonna bend me up in fucking ways that I'm never gonna get fixed again. At least with Mike. I know when it's coming, I see the punch coming. I know I'm going to get Yogi. Yoga like a yoga person. Yogi the guy who's like com bending because if he like, he fucking grabs you like Yogi grabs you grow and he starts, he knows how to bend up. You might
get funked up for life. At least it Mike hits you. You want be in pain, Let's be real clear. You want to be in pain, but you're going to be able to recover. But if if a Yogi bend you in a way, your body might never recover. So I say I would much rather be flexible. I much I much rather be like water than be like a fucking wall. But did you receive like like slack because of that, because a lot of people, like I said, a lot of people took it as search on publishing. No, in fact,
it was the exact opposite. Whenever that fucking verse came on in the club, I would get loved, like because my name got mentioned. People didn't even realize what it meant. They were like, oh ship, not Jay mentioned search. That's crazy. So you're sure he never got nothing bad, like even
from like naas campus. It's all love all the time, you know, even like if you think about all the times Nasa has mentioned me on his records, there's like seven records where he mentioned like our friendship or how I did him right, you know what I mean, Like, he's never once said anything bad about me because he has no reason because I treated him like a grown
ass man. I treated him like a professional, and I treated his music like a business, so that he would never have to worry, and his daughter would never have to worry. His daughter and my daughter same age, they were born a month apart. His daughter and my daughter never have to worry. God, there make some noise for that, Okay, So now you're dominated this guy is on the other side of the world. Guys are connected, and you see the previous of what he's capable of. I'm not sure
if he's on the downfall at this time. I'm sure you can talking to Tyson's coming out of incarceration, but he's a monster. Oh yeah, this press conference happens, and in the documentary you say not backing down, all right, So in that situation, it's a situation of like, alright, we all know about Tyson, nobody knows about me. So I'm like, you're gonna make some and you know, in in my culture, it's like, you know, we say the
dog that barks the loudest has no teeth. So it was a situation where like, yo, this is the first time it felt like he was deliberately trying to Yeah, he's bad. He's a bad guy in the sense of like he can intimidate people. He's intimidating a lot of people, but you don't know who he's intimidating. He's intimidating a bad a bad guy. I'm a batman in that sense. I don't take that soup time right, Yeah, loishan wan. So he knew, well, I knew what he was about,
but he didn't know what I was about. You don't know where I'm coming from, nothing about me. It's like that really both situation where like, yo, he said this about me, Okay, cool, all right, he's gonna see So mentally I was here for that. I was prepared for that fight. I was looking for that fight, and I knew that he didn't know me. And mentally I'm really strong minded. And are you holding on to what happened as you all as children or you saying no, you
know what that that was us as children. Actually I didn't realize what. I didn't know where it was coming from. I didn't know why he was being like this because we knew each other as when I went up to the cat skill were we were friends? You know? He says that, He says that afterwards, he says that he says he's only promoting the fight. But as a fan, I didn't take it like that. I didn't take it like he was only promoting the fight. I took it like what the fund is these two grown man? You know?
This is me as a fan, This is I have no ties to anybody at this time at least still go ahead, continue let me tell you a lot of people don't realize and don't remember. Well I don't know is the fact that a lot of the promoter wanted that to be an American British thing like West Coast, East Coast, West Coast. Yeah, but it was it was more American than the British should come in, the British should come in. So we said, no, it can't be there. We don't want that type of mess. That's too messy.
It's not even true. But yeah, yeah, yeah, so uh, you know it was more just um, you know, me trying to get the everyweight championship of the world, Tyson trying to legends meeting. Now there comes to time in summer jam history when you fuck summer Jam up. Let's strow it out there. It's time for me to pop
a bottles. What you want you want me to let me hear it ghost first and then okay, little bit, yeah sad, you know you gotta prove listen, I didn't you gotta prove listen, how did you think you get a lot of artists don't get approved, maybe more they don't just table. So I had to make a phone call. You know what, I'm saying, so which one you want to go to? Goal? The goal? Okay, but you know
that this is more expensive. This is the road. Okay, it's gonna take this because I don't want him to feel jerks like when people see him, like why did you pick the goal? He didn't know the people. So I want so you still want to go pick I only drink that one. Okay, let's go this. Okay. So so summer jams, summer jam. So you sunk this up. This is what was in my opinion, because in my opinion, this is just my hunting opinion. I can see you, my friend, so I would have told you this off
the side. What it was was the timing. It wasn't what you said, No, it was the timing of what you said and said in place and how you said. And the fact is this is your headline, correct, This is a yes. This is a female who automatically, I don't want to say just sensitive because he's a female. But in this situation, you know she's a queen of New y'all, this is New York number one station, and you get along. What was it was it the afternoon, No, it was the festival stage. So it was Kendrick was
about to come out on the festivals. So as part of my way of hyping the crowd for Kendrick. You know, I'm a wrestling fan. It's all about it's all about, it's about what it's in wrestling. We call it cheap heat, which, by the way, is the name of my podcast, Subscribe Everywhere. Cheap heat mean sheep, cheap like heat. Pet about to say you bring it back to Pets, let's go come. So cheap heat means in wrestling, if you want to get the crowd hot at you, that's called heat, right,
So bad guys want to get heat. The cheapest way to get heat is to get out in the crowd and say the bad guy comes out in Miami and goes, I can't stand Miami, I'm from New York. Whatever. And if you want a cheap pop, the way you come out is you're like, it's so great to be here in Miami. These are cheap cheap and cheap hoops. I was doing both. I was really going for a cheap pop because I know that the crowd that's there to see Kendrick. When I say fuck Starships, I know the
crowd is gonna cheer for that. So it's for you right now. Thank you for your bottles. But by the way, I don't think we got cheat heat in hip hop. I'm sure. I don't think we do well maybe not, You're right, I mean it ended up being expensive, I'm sure.
So I tried to pop the crowd by saying, now, listen, the truth is I had already been on the radio dissing starships at that point for months, right, And you gotta realize us as artists, right when we have a relationship with you guys, when you just the record, we don't feel like we don't feel like you're dissing the record, but like disting us. And I had no relationship with well, it's even worse in some ways because I had at
that time. I didn't know Nikki at all. For Abril Nick and yeah, but remember your your guilty back associated well then, but remember Nicki's not even really in New York that much of that time, right, She's moving around, she's blowing up, she's still and she's hearing it from people though that people go, So I make a joke, right like I used to make. I used to tease Nick you know, if you sip that I'm not an
m h so Nikki at that time. You know, when she would do like sort of her voices, she would go into like on Monster Scipa and I when we do the show, we would sort of like tease that, but not like we were shipping on it. We would, but it really wasn't shipping on it. Like we thought she was dope. But when her friend, when people hear it and they're like, yo, the fucking Safari came up to her, people are telling her people talk shit. So she already wasn't working with us. And then I did
Starships and I'm like, what is this record? Blah blah blah and twelve so people wasn't going live, so this is this this So this is not like she could have went and look at someone's Instagram. So people aren't going live. Oh they're hearing It's still weird unless it was a clip we put up. She she wasn't gonna hear it. So and I didn't like Starships, and I stand by that. I think history kind of proved me
right on. Even though she made a bowload of money on it did really well, it wasn't It wasn't a record that I liked now, I admit I did not at the time think of sort of the implications, you know, me being a man, being a white man who she doesn't know and wasn't even all that established yet shipping on you know, her record. I now realized sort of the privilege that was built into that, but at the time, I'm just repping for it. To me, it's hip hop
all day. And while I'm regretful about some of those situations, let's be honest. If I wasn't the kind of person who said ship like that, I wouldn't ever be here right now. If you don't have enough swagger and stupid, ill advised confidence to talk shit, you're not interesting. And I had to show listen all the rappers who wanted to funk me up in the first few years, most of which I'm close with now. Present company included it.
It all came from a place of like, I just had stupid confidence that I deserve to be here and should have the conversation. In retrospect, I could see how now that would be considered problematic, but at the time I was just a guy who's like trying to get on. I've studied the game, and I'm gonna give my opinions, and that's what Ebro wanted me to do. So I was just doing what I thought I was supposed to do. But let's just be clear, all right, cool not Let's
take ad way the fact that she's a girl. That's a good way of the fact that, um, she's a queen of y right, that's a good way to fact for that right now. Just the fact that it was the headline, Yes, that's a stupid party, and it was streaming on her website. Oh wait a minute, what so see streaming? Like because the website. The next thing I know. The next thing I know, I'm on the side of the stage comes up to me where shows about to start. Heros like, you do you say something about Nikki on
the festival stage? And I swear to god, I was like, I didn't remember. I was like, oh, yeah, I did. I did. I talked about starships. He was like, yeah, she pulled out of the show, and I was like. The next second, I go on my phone. I opened up Twitter. I just see trending Peter Rosenberg. I was like, well, this is not good. She's not doing the show. And so the first thing I'm worried about naturally is my job.
You know, I've only been there a few years at that point, and I'm like, I just cost us NICKI Minaj at summer Jam. That was fucking stupid, and you're right, the time in place was ridiculous and I just wasn't being thoughtful. It was just fucking stupid. Had rectified that situation, had to apologize, right, didn't there or that was no one? No one even considered that, you know, and this is where hot you know listen, Ebro and Flex both neither
has a small ego either. So while while I'm sure they might have been upset with me on some level, though neither ever said they were upset with me, they both just went the other way. It's like, Okay, it's like the Brothers in Blue Leg. They said, well, that's not it was like the Brothers Blue anyway. You know. I think they went with like, oh, they're pulling out that we're hot any seven, No one's pulling out on
our ship. It's summer jam. So they took that approach of defending me, and then of course it got messy because all young money pulled out. You know, Buster was not happy with me. You know who I do have a great relationship with and he was not happy. That was one of the many times I bust. It was on cash money at the time. Okay, and guess who else was Kalid? So you know, people weren't happy, but um, at the same time, everyone was cool in the long run.
You know, it took some time with Nikki to smooth things over because you did eventually apologize to correct I did, and she did. I watched the video again recently. She definitely soned the living ship out of the situation. A year later, before summer, jam Ebro sets up this whole thing for me to go come face to face with her. First of all, Ibro had to be there, which is I don't know if she was doing little Nicky might have sucked you up. I'm just going it up. You
know what. It probably helped. So I went to put my money and I just sat there one on m with her and she just sort of, well, you intimidated. Nicky's see, it's a little intimidate she is. Nikki is super intimidating, and in that moment I was I was shook, and I took my lumps and said I'm sorry, and she said, you're not smart. You're not funny, you're this, you're that, and honestly, not all that's true. I am rather smart, but it's okay. I understand why you're not
feeling me. I apologized, and yeah, and then the truth is, though I don't talk to Nicky anymore, the truth is we had a period after that, over a couple of years where we were actually pretty cool, Like we would actually text and talk about music, and I would a lot more. I want Sexton with NICKI and no, no,
that ship comes up green now. But you know, we had a period where we were cool, and like even the next year at Summer jam um, like we talked on stage and I don't know, I actually felt the same. You know, when you beef with people or have a feud with someone, once you make up, there is some sort of odd kinship that exists. Like I'm not saying
Nicky likes me. I don't know how Nicky feels about me at all, but I know that at that time I definitely felt some level of closeness, you know, through some ship and you got through it and we both and by the way, for the record, as mad as she was at me after that whole ship, her next album was her most hip hop and most successful. She bodied her next album was I think the next one was Pink Friday or was it Pink Print? I love how you grabbed the phone thinking instead of thinking how
we used to do. It's so fucked up. It's so fucked up that you are literally correct. That is what I do now albums. At this point, you're taking credit for that next album. You know you're a good radio host. It was it was she no Pink Friday, Roman Reloaded might have been the one with starships on it, so it would have been the next one, um, which was um the Pink Print? Okay, um No, I'm not taking
credit and I try ef you've really developed quite the host. However, I do think that there that that situation maybe impacted her on to some level, and she was like y wanting to the hip hop ship and let's be honest in sub consciously nicky with Barr, but we all want Rocket. I imagine growing up being all from being from New York City, you had to be fans of Jay and not. But at one point you was at odds with Jay, and I mean, which one you want to talk about first?
If you if you so all right, Let's say j J for instance, because you were at Rockefeller and this is you leaving Rocket Feller or exited Rockefeller, these records that pop up now. But what happened was I believe Dame was gonna make me the press the rocket Feller. Now this is his office. That was just that has to do with this office he was talking about earlier. No, we just house. That wasn't the same time and he was the president. It never really came before wishing me
being a president, being actually president. He want to make me a president, Okay, and I don't think he talk to j about that, you know what I'm saying. So like when I ainked a bus it and me and Jay Cool were just on the sky Zoom call like a week ago. So this just stories. Me and jay an't got no problems. We're super cool. So to by the way, I thought, I'm gonna take it with me. No, no, I appreciate it. So um. Basically when I got the Rocket Feller, you know, I tried to ingratiate myself with
everybody because I don't know what that mean. Yeah, I'm trying to be cool. Whateverybody I'm trying to say. They already have something going, and I know, trying to be cool with everybody because y'all got your own thing. You know what I'm saying. I don't want to come in here and seem like I'm stepping on toes or whatever.
So I'm cool with everybody. You know, Hey, this down the third and you know Jay Jay is a competitor, you know what I'm saying, So me coming there, I don't know this was dame situation and say something that he did. So you know, um, first thing is happened. I bought Kate Slay up there, and I guess I didn't know he was mad at Kase Slave because Kse Slay must to play Ether at the time, and he was mad at no for Ether and orders never heard this story. Yeah yeah, I'm telling you. You'm telling you
what happened, you guys k slect So I've heard this story. Yeah, wait a minute, what you say? Run Case Lay up to baseline? Yeah, okay, this is after Case Slave. He definitely voted for Naz either. Remember this good? Yeah, So board them up there because you know we're using case Slay the Hoholetime mixtape. So kid came up there. Boom, Jay wasn't there. But as I'm leaving, Jay is in the lobby of Baseline, so I want k to the elevator, and I guess they said Jay and jay Z said
what's up? Whatever? So I walked back and he said, Yo, you gotta be careful who you bringing around here. He might have just slapped the ship out of case slag And I'm like, wait, what's going on? Man? And you know, I don't even know what's going on. He's like he's like, he's like, yo, just saying be careful. All right, cool, this is your house. Ain't not no problem with that, you know what I'm saying. It's all good. Cool. We're building buzz up. I'm like, yo, Jay the studio. I'm like, yo,
we might want to hop on his record. We're building the buzz and he'll just look like, okay, that's cute, Like he didn't say that, but he's like okay. I'm like, all right, cool, cool. I don't know what's going on, but whatever. So um I saw heating up, you know what I'm saying, And he like, yo, well, seeming you know, you could tell us some tension. So one day I come to the studio. You're like, Yo, it seems like it's some tension in here. Yeah to me, I'm talking.
I don't know if exact words, but he says something going on. I just want to let you know, I see all niggers rocking. I ain't got no problem. Were all good, you know what I'm saying, something like bad Um just got a song up right now, you know, like, yeah, let's just do it now. And he's like, back, So we did the song room, So I said, Yo, the song. He know, we might could do the video. He like, okay,
we back to that. Cool. So that that happened. Then back to all we're saying about I'm starting to do bus moves or whatever. Because there was that. There was a jay Z verse on Old Boy and you to tell you that. So Pete Crap, nobody's fucking Pete Crap, State property, nobody, PETI crack. I was gonna fun with Speedy Crap. He had the song one for Pete Crap. Yeah, that was this on myself. I put me in jewels on it, taking the damn Like about the fun, He like,
he fulfilled you to funk with stay property. I'm like, why everything I gotta be so philly? This holmness. I don't think I heard the story. Pete Cracker story don't even need to drink. It's on flag. He told the story on VLAG. I already knew how I went anyway, but he tells the story. So day in the studio, he said he got this hot song, you know, because he wasn't signing State property. I was working with him.
He come to New York or whatever, and I was gonna sign him, but Dame was like, I was gonna sunk up ful Philly and all this ship. And I'm like, so pet was was like, this is a situation. Bothyards right by the way, Ye, Dame is right and and you were right to this is situation. But continue. So well, he's on his own proper. But it's seeming like that, but he's not. So he's like, I'm not signing him, niggas Cam. So we did the song, so he played.
Pete's playing the song for jay Z whoever else in the studio, And like I said, Pete, Pete Cracks story is on Flack. He talks about a couple of interviews. I already knew how he went though, but we don't mention that other outlets. Yeah, so he's playing sorry about that, So he's especially that they apologize. A couple of videos he he a couple of the interviews he mentioned this. So he says he's in the studio playing it and my verse come on and J say stop. It erased
that ship and just erased my whole verse. So Pete calls me, he like, you're saying the original one for Pete K you're on there. Yes, he in the studio actually plays director. No, this is what happened. I used to go to Philly. I has salon in Philly. You know what I'm saying. So so one night I thought,
you know, check on my business. And Philly, I go to a club this DJ Korey Yak I think his name was, and I'm like, in the hole in the wall and P D. Crack is performing in this hole in the war and the whole club is going crazy. So I went up to him in Meadow, I'm like, yo, what's up here? Like now you know, beans, just stand the third and then I funk with everybody. You know,
there were those with his niggas. So then a week or two later I went to I don't know the time that we go to Philly, radio station and he's outside the radio station. Yeah, he's outside the radio station, and he like, chill her. What's up? Man? I'm like, I thought you with state property, like game ain't sa Damon's there. He's like, they ain't sign me nothing. I'm like, word, so that record you this, you're not send it to me?
But I wasn't sending that some type of way. He gave me a E D I think I had, and I did it and gave it to him. He came and used to come to New York. So when I did it, Dame, it's like, yo, hold on, I said, the man said, you're not signing y'all. There's nobody. Well you know, we was gonna do this and was gonna do that, and I'm like whatever. So then what happened was Dames said, look, I guess beans and Nothing's like
how can this was pt cracks on me? How Kim and them jumping on our record on the Philly record bed, Like, I ain't know you wanted to do the record. So Dame come to me. I guess it was a problem over that or whatever. Dame like, Yo, this is what we're gonna do. We're gonna put State property on it and keep you on it. We're gonna take you els off. I'm like, no, I didn't take me off too, Like I don't understand what's going on, why this is such a big deal, Like its gonna take you els off
and leave you. And I'm like, nah, man, I said, well take me off the record too, man, And ain't no problem. You know what I'm saying. But probably it's an older video for that song and everything jay Z heard the first and just erase my ship to Pete crack erace it or shame whoever was um engineering that day. I'm like, that's why and energy going on, but we don't give a funk. But camp, I gotta ask because
this is very deep. Everybody's good, everybody's good right now, but this is this is one facts you know that that happened. You know that that if you want, we could pose this interview. Pull it up on your phone. We've got people who's paid for that. Let's go up first. You pull up, pull up, Carmel, Jewells and Pete crap. It's just called Pete. Ain't casting calls for a minute, n ship. Yeah, but you put up pull up. I
don't want to break it. I don't want to. I want to bring Zeke in, but I don't want to bring want to keep going. See if you're get on not even be even better coming from that. I've never heard this story, so but I'm saying not the fact that that doesn't exist, but the fact that the person that said that Jay said to take that verse off. That's real one million percent. I want to be on your show making no ship confess. Yeah, yeah, yeah, you know what I'm saying. I mean, I know you got
a huge Ordians. I ain't on time. You know, like I said, Jay have a different way of going about it. But this with Pete Crack said, he's like because he wanted to give me a copy but already had a copy. I'll put it on my mixtape.
