And right now, when you talk about a winner, when you talk about a survivor, when you talk about a man who people have literally do like they threw him away, they didn't want him to win, and he came up and rose like a phoenix. I'm talking about. His story is top five in music, not top five and where they get thrown only or just Latin music. When you listen to this man story
that should is top five. That Shi is up there with Hector Vaul real our version of that's survived and that's out here, that's living. I'm personally a fan of this man. I personally seen him go through trials and triple relations and where he's at in life, I'm so proud of. He's a watch connoissourl. Every time he comes outside, it's watches a hundred thousand or more make some noise about. He's relentless. He came out here and he and he's so relevant. He dominated the Latin wrap the Yo wanted
open en up for Dots effects. A little lot of artists that can't say that, a lot of hits by artists that can't say that. This man has relentless and he stayed in this game and he smiles and he's having fun. If you don't know who I'm talking about, the legendary the King, Hey, I'm gonna humble, but I'm humble now, I'm gonna be honest. I said this episode, I wasn't gonna just drink or smoke, but I might get a little little fool just a little bit and a little bit of drinking a little bit, a little
bit because because but listen, bro, I can't lie. My man super one of the closest friends to me, right, my Dominican constituent, when I you know, we did all your mkanto, when we, you know, started to mess with the Latin latin um because Latino world. I asked Super, oh the same way I asked him when I went to get into reggae Throwne. I said, Yo, listen, I got I think I got Nicki James. I think I would be able to interview Nikki James. And Super says, Nori,
already know where you're gonna go with this. You're gonna ask me for a playlist, You're gonna ask me for this. You don't need none of that right now. So I said, really, so you need one thing to watch? And I said, well, what is that? And how do you pronounced that? Algador? Holy moley, guacamole. Now listen, well, I'm gonna take off my champions. It's okay, man. So I'm watching this right now. By the way, I somewhat know your story right because I fell in love with reggae Thorn. Like I'm I'm
black and Puerto Rican, I love to be born. I've never not claimed both. I always said I'm bold and I went to to Puerto week and I fell in love with reggae thor. I didn't know the stories of reggae thor. I didn't know the nicky Jams. I didn't know the Daddy Yankees. I didn't know that they got their owns. I didn't know the Donald Mars. I didn't the designing list. But I knew the music. I knew that when I heard that show, I said, holy ship,
there's something about this music here. But you got started with it was Latin wrapped first. Yeah, it was Latin wrapped back in the eighties. And you know we had Vico c uh Julli M C Ruben d J. I mean, vehicle C is like, you know, the king, he started this, this whole movement. He's considered the first get throne and pr because hand that, I was kind of considered the first one who made it, who kind of started doing
it in Panama? Am I correct? I mean, I mean I can't say you know what it was because what what what Vico C was doing was just Spanish hip, you know what I'm saying that, And then I started the Spanish reggae. Yeah, so you know, they did start the reggae the movement because it was funny in the movie when you called yourself raging muffins. Yeah, I mean I used to. I used to, like I used to this.
This is a real story about this. I came from the States, right, okay, Lawrence, from Lawrence, Massachusetts, and went to Puerto Rico. I didn't know ship about Spanish, you know what I'm saying. I just knew a little bit of Spanish. And I used to lie and say that I knew jam I was half Jamaican because I used to imitate Jamaican. I had my old VID. But I wasn't saying ship man. You know, people believed that something. I was locked my way in, you know what I'm saying, Like, Yo,
this kid is half Jamaican. You know, he's like, he's twenty years old. He could wrap in English. Like. So there was a concert that was a remember it was a bat I don't know how you say the English. The regga Patrick Patrick Spanish. So we went over there and people like, Yo, this is this kid. He's half Jamaican and kids have Jamaican and I want you to meet him and he's and so so they take me them and she was like, yeah, jamaicanout okay. I used
to understood okay, and you talking. You know, Oh my god, I'm swearing, and so that that made me. You know, the thing is, I mean the style was fluid. I had the style and everything, but I didn't't know Spanish, so I learned the language in Spanish, you know, saying. I fell in love with the carry being and the reygae movement. I mean in the States, I remember back in the days when it was just when it was
you know, the hip hop and everything. People would dance separated, you know what I'm saying, Like you going to the clubs, you didn't see people like grinding like you know what I'm saying. So when I went to Puerto Rico and I saw reggae ship, you know, girls and boys be like that, what the funk? This is my life? You know? This ship is crazy, man. I mean they used to do a little they call him the garage parties, you know what I'm saying. And uh, the next day you
will see all the jenes on the wall. It was like the garage party, the DJ at the end of the garage, you know what I'm saying. And then people were charging money to go inside. That's those were the first parties, okay, and one and another thing is when I first got to Puerto Rico. I first came to Puerto Rico, they made me performing a cassett el, right, And when you and and Daddy Yankee did it was that's something that was traditional every year you guys were performing.
I mean, is like the projects in Puerto Rico. So it's like something Christmas. You gotta do it everywhere, you know what I'm saying. Like those were the stages for us. That was the stage. We didn't have no shows, so it was the cassat Eels. And even when we became famous and we were doing already like clubs and bigger stuff, we still had to give love to the cassat Eels. And we don't do shows all over the cassatt Eels.
I'm gonna tell you what crazy show. I don't know if you know, but James, I have a picture with jay Z and Damn Dashed when I was like twelve years old out yeah, and they went to Puerto Rico. Remember the group called Original Flavors. So I don't know how jay c ended up with that. Probably they had a song together down together, so they I was I was walking with j C all over Porto Rico show. I was just towards God and I was taking him the spots and he don't even like he wouldn't even imagine.
You know what I'm saying that that I'm who I am today and I'm gonna showing you picture or not. I gotta right here, get out of here. Let's get some champaigne up here. Look at look at this picture. Man, You're gonna laugh. And you see his picture. Look at this picture right man? You see j C. Holy movie camera and that's young to keep your Yeah, with the
two X nikee. You teach the whole legend out here man, like you're like, ye know when you really like the legend legend Like so one thing about the movie, right, um, I want to tell you how much I honor you for keeping it real like the things that I was watching, Like, Yo, let me just say your something. I know you made it right, this is this is the crazy Ship. It's how good the movie is. Is that I know you made it. At the end, I know you you win.
But as I'm watching and I'm watching you, look who's lose lose, I'm just crying, like yo, when this isn't gonna win. So I know there, but as I'm watching it, I'm like, yo, this is roughly And I told us to my wife, I said, Joe's roughly the Nikki jam fan right now because and I was. I was amazed that you didn't hide them like that. You you you you kept it real. Like the idea of my idea was to make kids to learn, you know what I'm saying.
And you know, I wanted to make a graphic. So if you make a graphic, you know what I'm saying, people gonna like, kids are gonna look at this and they're going, Okay, if you go this route, this is gonna happen. If you go the right route, this is gonna happen. So I just wanted people to see that. You know, I come from My mom was she was a crackhead, you know drug my dad was as well, you know what I'm saying. And I lived in in the and theyve right, they both alive, good good, So
you know I came from. I came from a really dark past. You know what I'm saying that there's nothing more crazy than seeing like, you know, your mom doing faces because she's on it and think. You know what's the crazy thing is I've missed Judge you me personally, so I know the world miss judge you because you make so much beautiful music. You make music that make me want of commercial music, and but your life you should be making. You should be like making. You know,
I'm gonna like you know what I'm saying. Like so it's like, I'm sorry, I'm bouncing around. Yeah, how did you not like become let that turn you dark? And know what I'm saying that? Music wise? Music wise, you know, I was always I like, this is a thing. I was always a melody guy when it came to music. So melody wasn't it wasn't like a rough thing in the past, like if you did melody, you know what's like I could wrap. But it was like I was
really good doing the melody impact. I got famous doing melodies. You know what they ain't doing melody hooks and all that. So when when I when I went through all this bad ship that I was going through, there was no way for me to do music that related to what was going on in my life because people respecting me, it's just the guy that did melody music. You know
what I'm saying it was like I don't know. I'll give you an example of somebody that, uh it sounds beautiful and had like a hard h well t Ping is kind of like a melody guy. Future is kind of like a melody guy. You know what, Future incorpate drugs and things like that in his rap. So I guess you like kind of like the future, like it was like the first Future something like that. Hollywood brogrounds you the second Nick James. No, but you know so,
I mean, it's crazy. It's funny because I did a lot of bad things in the past, you know what I'm saying where people people sit down and I don't even wanna talk about it, but people of people say, like, yo, Nikki, you did stuff that you never bragged in a rap song or nothing about it. Like I'm not because it wasn't my It wasn't my thing to do, you know what I'm saying, And I'm not, you know, I don't. I don't think it was. I don't think it was something that people wanted to hear from me. I think
it sound kind of funny. I'll kill you this, come on, give us that little you know. But Nikki was always like, don't get it twisted with a little phases. So one of the I'm bouncing around because like I said, like
I said, this really have a really thing. You have a really I don't I'm saying beautiful because of the turnout, But it was to get to beautiful, to get to beautiful it was, and like I said, I really admire the fact that you kept it so real, you kept it so so now bouncing around me and Mato was trying to debate just now it's like why did he go to Columbia in the first place? Right for me, from what I understand in the in the movie, Um, you went because of a show. Okay, so how did
that turn into me staying there for ten years? Well? The thing is in Puerto Rico, I wasn't doing no shows, man, I mean everything was. Nobody wanted to funk with me. I had a bunch of street problems and I was in drugs and I was messed up, so nobody like for me. For in Puerto Rico in the time, I was like the embarrassment of reggaetone music. But in Colombia I was I was a legend because they listened so much. They even listened to music that in Puerto Rico people
didn't like. So they like Puerto Rico like my heads, but Colombia like my hits and the songs that wasn't. Really I don't want to go right back to Colombia. Remember to go back back to Colombia. But what do you mean by that in Puerto Rico? Because I just I don't think port Ico looked at you as an embarrassment.
I think I mean in the time and the time, in the time I was an embarrassment and in the music at what time you would say, is that time I would saying what I wasn't in a whole bunch of situations, you know what I'm saying, Like cat they called me, they called me in a car that old like seven months and and got a jail for some stupid stuff like that. Or they caught me with cocaine and in my parking and they got and they locked me up for that. Like it was embarrassment, embarrassment, embarrassment.
It was like, you know, when you were in drugs, what's gonna happen? And then I just go to you know, say so in Puerto Rico was like, you know, Puerto Rico is a very competitive vibe, you know what I'm saying. So it's like, man, who's up? Man? Like you know, like and in Colombia it was like, you know, I don't expect Puerto Rico to Uh. I'm gonna get this clear. I don't expect Puerto Rico. I don't. I don't judge Puerto Rico because of my faith about my situation. You
know what I'm saying. That was me, that was my situation. I just needed to get out of Puerto Rico so I could find myself. You know what I'm saying. Like a lot of famous people, do you know what I'm saying that you went to Columbia. Most people go to Columbia to get fucked up. Really, ten years you would say five was getting up. Check this out. When they called me for a show, and uh, they're like, yo, Nikki, and we want to show, and how much you charge it?
In that moment, I need to pay the rent. So I said, just give me two thousand dollars. And the dudes like, okay, we'll give you two thousand dollars and I'm going to Columbia. When I saw the movement of the urban music, the reggae, reggaetar music, and Columbia was like, what the fund is? This man like people was doing five shows a day a day and I'm starving in Puerto Rico. And that same week that I went, I did like seven shows. So I said, I'm living this motherfucker.
I got I got the kids. You know, I pay the rent and I gotta child support and all that. The thing is um When I went to the show, I was the only old school cat, like everybody else was like the new kids. They were killing the game that I get through, you know what I'm saying. You know, no, I meant there was yeah, but that's I'm talking about like the in the world. I bet there was kicking in Colombia. He was doing good in Columbia, but I'm
talking about everywhere else. Then I get through Joe Zombie like the biggest stars, I've got you and now unless you feel all these cats were killing the game and they were on this big ass show and I was the only guy that was like not active in the You couldn't be on that same show on Porter we go never and they took me on my home but they saved me for last the Colombians. Yeah, and I'm worried and I'm like, yo, bro, like you know what
I'm saying something. So that's what I'm saying. What I'm saying, I don't think that's a good idea, bro, Like you know what I'm saying. No, if I said, you know, the funny thing is when I came out, man, that ship wanted to fucking b the fun You gotta understand, I started this movement with Daddy Yankee years ago, back in ninety to me, Yank Yankee, Me and a couple
of more. There's a lot more that I would never finish if I talked this og black mouth there Joe, Um, there's a job Evie, queen baby, a whole bunch, a whole bunch. But like, so to see that everybody was crazy. I said, man, I love this place. And everywhere I went, people like, you're a legend. But I'm bro llegend, you llegend. So one thing I saw in Columbia was I saw this like almost fifty million people here and I did
a little freestyling video with Yahorn and a hotel. You probably see it if you look, if you if you check it out, and it did almost like two million views or a million views, I don't remember at that time. So I said, Okay, if I do one national hit in this country, I could probably make so much views that I could bounce again all over the world. So I'm gonna focus I'm gonna focus on that. That was
my mentality. But before that, something fucked up happened. That it was my thirtieth birthday and I went to a club and I did, like I don't know how many cocaine. I don't know how many cocaine I do. I'm talking about so much cocaine. I mean the guy went to pick me up in the house, there was like a little bag of cocaine and every spot of the house. Because I think this guy was like I was performing. I was just on that. Was that Columbia or you would have been like that in pr too? Was Columbia?
And I mean I was there. I mean I was there. I'm not gonna say I'm not gonna go there, but I was saying I was there. A guy said, yo, Nikki, you want to hit. He had a big gass bag like this. I went to the bathroom and it was double bag bag. I went like this, I'm like y'all, thank you so much. And so this is the thing, that's the thing I did that I did. I woke up like around seven o'clock in the morning. I had another show on both without different city from Maiging, and
I remember that I was feeling kind of weird. I was feeling kind of weird. I took coffee. I was in the plane and all of a sudden, I'm trying to move my hands and I can't move my hands, and I got to concentrate to do every every movement, you know what I'm saying. So I'm like, who ship what the fund is going on with me? I guess I did so much drugs my whole life because I did ecstasy, I did every I even didn't I even did heroin. I didn't do it by veins, but you know,
by by nose. I didn't so much drugs. It sucked up my my nervous system. And uh, I don't know how to say it in English and see them, I'm on threes is the your motor system and fucked up my motor system. That's when you say about the weed though, like because he could then I get a little crazy now. But its so the thing is. I went to U, I went to a hospital. I went to a brain of brain doctor, and he told me that I had to stop any drug because I was gonna get sucked up.
I could just stay like you know, that's the festival, you know what I'm saying. So I'm like, I had to. I stopped doing that. And I was so scared of staying like that that I started focusing on my career first of all. But I had to get clean because I was taking perks. And I was taking perks. I w was sent for them a day. I would send for them, like I would make money in Columbia and
bring perms to Columbia. And I would bring a three hundred bottle of buyers uh, because perks looked like buyers say, it looks like they like they looked like so the ones I used things that were and though so I was like, I would travel with a big gas bottle of like three hundred and I would like chill and do a whole bunch of shows in Columbia with that ship.
And if you know about so you're bringing drugs to Columbia. Yeah, holy, So you're talking y'all talking to ya yoire talking about that that I went to Columbia and rude, I bring drugs Jordan they didn't have. They didn't have. I even gave a Columbia got perk and he was like, hey said, okay, that's mean wear food. So you know, like I was on some other ship. So the thing is UM, I had to like break like Heroin. It's the same ship because I asked open. So I had to stay in
the in the room for three or four days. Sweat ain't the whole funking you saw, Rachel. I don't want to go because I want to go to UM later, but I need to know. It's a part of the place. You go meet with this artist, you asked Penya, I think, pa Pa, and you say, you hook me up with Valet, and then you go meet with Valet whose Vallet hooked me up with Vallet the artist, the artist and you met with the artists? Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, who is that in real life? Yeah? Well you know in that moment,
is it not? I know the guy no, no, no, the guy that said he was an artist and it was born to Let. It's come from that section. He was topping. I've no guy us all the same little what's that beach us he was with and so shout out to shout out to even churching out with no definitely hector, hector, help fathers in church, the church as well. Yeah, it was white lying together. Yeah, and that still label two. Right, Okay,
I'm gonna point Max more Man and I'm listening. So honestly, when I've seen that, I was like, yo, um, Artists don't know how tough that ship is. Artists don't know how you know, you go from being this this legend and then Leo Combes just to say you got a little bit of whack juice on you. So when you have wack juice on you, people don't want to mess with you. Nobody want to. And at the same time, I had a bad situation with Daddy Yankee. You know
what I'm saying. Daddy Yankee was you know, he was he was everybody the respect that people have for Yankee, you know what I'm saying. So until I didn't fix that situation, you know what I'm saying, people want to be clear that I was, that I was good, you know, because I was fucked up. I sucked it up, and don't get to that too. But ahead because I was around when that happened, like when when the leaning back, Yeah, I was, I was, actually it was crazy and I
don't know if this is true. I don't know if this is true. You tell me it's true. Somebody somebody contacted me and said, uh, Nicky Jam. They I don't know what if they said, Nickie Jam, but they said, Yankees brother wants to do a record with you. So I'm like, all right, cool, no problem, like and then they're like, so I asked, said, yo, Nicky Jam do a record, and he goes, yo, right now, Poppy and
he's like, yo, man, you know, but he's not really together. Yeah, And you know what I thought at first was like whatever, And then later on I was like, I think Yanky was hating And then when I saw the movie, I was like, oh my god, maybe he wasn't he was. He wasn't, I say a percent. He was doing everything about it. He was just trying. He was trying to help me all the time. He was trying to help me.
And I was just because in the movie I could see certain people say that Yankee looked like an angel. Was he was he mad that he looked like because he looked like he just was perfect and he didn't did nothing wrong. No, no, he was from the streets, but he never did anything wrong to me, right something.
What I meant is like in the streets, like yeah, no Yankee, you know, like you saw this, like he was he was in uh when the police put them over and he's in the hood, and they were like they were talking to him, like people from the streets wanta talk to Yankee like that. You know what I'm saying. Nah,
But that was the director and it was already made. No, yank, you would have go off on everybody, but people respect the Yankee in the hood, like you shot to do condo, Yeah, in the club and then and Yankee, everyone thinks it's Gonald from out here. No, no, no, no, no, you gotta relax. No, I don't no, it's not that's my boy, my boy. We all de baby, like, I think you really got confused, Like, Bro, you shooting so yeah, I think he wanted to be here. You don't right? You
show me right, am? Like, no, Bro, I love you so being that we did know, being being clear to the old Yankee situation. Bro, it was just me being iglorand Bro, I love love, I love I loved in the movie where you kind of looked at yourself and you reflected on and, Um, your manager, what's his name? The guy from Columbia. Yea, if I see him, I'm not even gonna give him a five. I got about to him. That's what's bro, yo. Like this ship that he was putting together for you, that's like, you didn't
go to Columbia for you. You went to Columbia for him, and that he was he was a blessing for you, bro. And like obviously obviously obviously, um, you know that's it's through the movie. So I don't you know what I mean, but that was that was a blessing. But um, what was I saying before that? If you about we know that? Um, but is it really that hard in Puerto Rico? Like what like at the street? Oh my god, you don't understand man. Puerto Rico was rated number one capital and
murder in the world. Yeah, I remember that Rico only have three million people living. You know what I'm saying, You go, don'ta sunk around when it comes to that street ship, you know what I'm saying. And when we come from it's not it's not easy like in the movie. I wanted to go in the whole Oh yeah, it was his name. He's not here no more. Yeah, you know, I want to I want what's because I noticed this part of this entertainment, so you know, I know, but
was it really like that? Was it over a girl? And like because I remember I think, I think, Dad, you got shot in New York. I think this guy was missing my guy names stand and even just put it in the movie. Actually that was the only part I was like. I was a little skeptical of because you have a Puerto Rican barber shop with none but Dominicans in there. I peeped that. I just that Lobo he's I mean, I mean, I'm to but um, so what we're talking about, I was just saying what he was.
He was talking about how the streets in Porto Rico jah man ship is quick. No, I mean the situation was that one of the boys that me and Yankee, Uh, the guy I'm not gonna say that he was he was he was waning. We helped him, and a dude from the streets, Uh didn't like that that we held him. So he ended up killing that guy and then he was after us. You know what I'm saying, like in the movie. He was in the music, just like in
the movie. So we had to get the she was this guy had six six six on his foread get the fun out they're talking around. This guy was insane, bro, this motherfucker and he was after us. So we had we went to Of course, man, we're trying to like survive, you know what I'm saying, because we're singers, were from the streets. But these guys are from the streets. So that's their business when we do music, you know what I'm saying. So we we make money, you know what
I'm saying, like doing shows and ships. So we had to go to New York. And that's when I went. I went, I was in I was in box and the bronx pected was not in the third by phoning wrong that mango opinion and I was hustling that mango opinion. The funny thing is that I went with Yankee with it and I'm like, and I told this guy was like, yo, bro, we didn't make These guys were making money like a motherfucker. I was like, I mean, we was broke a fuck.
That time was Iceberg and ship. Everything was Iceberg and all that ship and I said, I saw, I saw the Holly were making money. I'm saying, you know what, man, I so I'm gonna say that ship to him, gonna make my money. Fuck that ship. I saw the way that ship was moving. And I was just hustling and making money. And we made money enough to get strapped. You know what I'm saying. Yankee. You know he made his money too. And we went back to Port Ko.
We were just him and it was really just y'all two or y'all have other brothers that came with y'all when y'all came because New York, it was just me and Yankee, but we had a crew from over there because Nan, we can't. When we came back. You know what this guy wanted to show that was in Porto Rico. That wasn't what was that? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, I mean you know what I mean. It's it's crazy, but it's the life that you used to live, you know what
I'm saying. Like I mean, I mean, like like I told Yankee, that's issues, Like, well, it's not the first time. Somebody ain't gonna kill us the way that I didn't have to. You know what I'm saying that why I've been for a long time, you know what I'm saying, And you've be seeing a lot of people died in Porter week. Could be just because of that ship to a girl. Yeah no, I know that. And it's a small line, so I don't I don't look around with
that ship. So listen, that's the craziest ship about the But the movie is when I look at any two groups, I always look at it like and I compared to component oriega, Right, I always just say that's you know. And when I'm watching the movie, the whole time, I thought I was one of you guys. But I realized I am not. I realized, yeah, yeah, you always took the route every time a girl said, they said the girl I said, yeah said the whole time to the end of the ship, I was like ship he was.
It was so much like that. It was serious business situation. And yet you look at me like, yeah, come on, bro, you know yeah, I can't. I can tell you this. I can tell you this Yankee was meant to be a hundred dollar man. Like he's always a hundred million dollar man. You know what I'm trying to say. He was always a boss. Yeah, and that I was always a crazy to clown. He was like he was really a boss street street dude. I was a clown, but I was like crazy clown, you know what I'm saying.
Like I was a rebel. I would do any fucking crazy thing. Yank you was more you know boss. You know, yeah he was bus since he was born over But don't get it twisted. Yankee streaked like a motherfucker I'm telling you. But you know the dude, you know he went through a lot of ship too in his pastor Yeah,
he went through a lot of ships. So his mentality was like Nicki's gonna he was at the point like Nick, He's gonna suck it up for me, Like I love him a lot, but I've been like trying and trying trying because he was using the movie, right, you went from like the first time like meeting him and then it was like one time you came to the studio late and it was just like I don't want to say ungrateful, but it was just like yo, I'm here,
just shut the funk up type of ship. How did you go from that from that movie from like you know, when you was first well, to be clear, I will never tell Yankee shut the fun he was because he was always bigger than me. Movie. It was like you came late with what's my man? Jonz Um, j Jones
came with Jones. And I related to the situation because I remember, you know, me and Capone getting together and Capone being happy to be at the studio at one point and then him knowing that he's about to go to jail and him just being like fuck it, like has come to the studio. And that's what I realized, Like, Yo, I might be Yankee in this situation. How did you go from that? Like go from because he was like signing at twelve years old, like you were like doing
the ship. The thing is that shows that that particular part right there shows how daddy Yankee was always focused and I was just not appreciating life. I was not appreciating the gift that God gave me a music. I was not, you know, not doing it. And he was telling me like, bro, you know what I'm saying, come on, man, Like you know, Yankee was the type of guy if we went to New York, he would change, his mentality would change, becuse he know in New York was like
the city of hip hop. So he would put his his his his benie on and he was sitting on a car like that, we want to like a like a town car tax anybody he was in the limo said I'm not joking with the guy, and he's like, and then I was like, because I was just a clown, bro, don't wanted to clown around, you know what I'm saying. And he was always, you know, serious about business, and I was hanging out with the wrong people. And you know, when you hang around with the wrong people, they don't
give you the best advice. So everything that happened with me and Yankee was because I was on drugs, I was ignorant, I had the wrong people next to me. So what was the exact thing that said? Because as an artist, it takes a lot for us to write something to something right. And when you write something, it's like coming from the heart regardless. So for you to write something that, it had to be something that really tick you off. They're just trying to pick somebody off,
you know what I'm saying. Like I was, I was mad, Yeah, I was, I just I just wrote. I just wrote what I wrote because I thought I had to go hard and made somebody mad, but the way they made me mad, So the problem was the problem was this. But did he come at you first? That's what you thought? What's that's what I'm trying. There was a party said that, uh he said something like about it, like you talk for us because you because of the pills or whatever.
And that wasn't for me. I don't think it was. I know it wasn't for me. It was for somebody else. So I just went at him because I was like, oh he did and then people, you know, bad energy and all that ship, so of course he's gonna feel bad. It was just a bad moment. It was a bad, stupid moment in my life where I didn't have my head clear and the dude hadn't ever been a record back. He never made a record back. Man, he did, he had got Solina, the biggest hit in the world, and
that's you don't need. After that, he made me look, yeah, that's that's life, that's what it's all about. Because he was there for me and he was doing something good. He was trying to help me, and I was stupid and ignorant and not pay for it. You know what, I'm saying, you know that nothing comes You know what I'm saying you You you get what you give. I gave bad energy, of bad mentality. I was stupid and I paid for that. Look at all the ship I
went through. You saw it, jail, drugs, embarrassments. My music wasn't popping, I wasn't doing so and me and Nas we had a fallout, right, and for two years it was rough for me. How was it for you? Like hard when when you made this record with Daddy and
now Yankee is popping. Imagine I imagine this. I could have been a part of it, and instead of being a part of it, because I was stupid and ignorant, I had to see somebody's success six like, succeed to the fullest and my career just go down because I was stupid and ignorant. And then obviously, during all those years that I was doing drugs, I kept my mom mentality like no funk, everybody did it because it looks
like a bad cloud you get. But then when you stopped doing drugs and your mind gets clear, you're like, funk, man, this dude was right and I was wrong, and it took me ten fucking years. He realized that ship you wanted. He wanted to get back up. He wanted to be back into a level. You don't he want to just come to the Yankee and squash it like and like you're needing him exactly I wanted. I know, I wanted to sit down and what I already had the position?
So how do you think like that? That's that's that's a will bollship because my mentality is it's it's easy to say you're sorry when you need something. So is he really gonna believe that is official? But because but if I'm successful and rich and I say I'm sorry, like he don't need ships, so it's real, you know what I'm saying. So I waited for that. I worked my ass off, I did everything I could, you know what I'm saying, to be big and huge and then sitting next to the guy and me like and he
won't feel it uncomfortable. He didn't felt uncomfortable. It didn't feel awkward because it feels awkward as funk that you like, broke is fucking a bad situation, Like yo, bro I'm sorry and fucking with you. You'd be like you need a you need a song, you need a future, you need a video. You're sucking with me, you know what I'm saying. So it felt good to go back to him in a good position in my career, you know what I'm saying. And that made me feel good about myself.
And he knew it was real because in that moment, I could have act too. I could have been like, I'm popping now, I don't fun no no no, no, no, no sorry, And I'm still with your soldier and you're still the boss baby, and that's the way it's still be. You think, hell, yeah, that's easy. You know what I'm saying. That's easy. I mean, I mean we're working a lot because I'm doing movies, I'm doing series, I'm doing a
whole bunch of stuff. And by the way, I'm doing my podcast as well, because I'm cod from what are you saying about movies? How was that? We dreamed? You? Not only you not only did Bad Boys, You did the World Cup with Will Smith bothered the challengement, but you found out about that tangentent. Did you call him to make sure he's okay? No no, no no no no no no no no no no, Because I want one movie, would do I'm with you. You were formed the World Cup? Yeah, we will write Holy moving what
how was that? Well? The thing is the thing is h you know, I uh, because I'm trying to remember we did something before then the World Cup? You were sober baby? Right doing the World Cup? Or did you do it already? No, I'm trying to remember. What happened? Is I did something with Will be hold on on time out when a person can't remember performing, No, you got me. I had a smooth his life. Best if you said the World Cup, people like, yeah, I remember. Listen,
I don't yellow thinking he's like being Will. I hain't out a Will lie. That's hard. That's hard, brother, No, no, no, no, no, I know what happened. My relationship with Will started with his son I did. I did a remix for him, Gonna let you go. Yeah. So after that, they gave me the opportunity to do the World Cup song and I said, I'll do it if Will Smith is on it. A're not gonna say no. You know what I'm saying, Will Smith? Yeah, okay, No, FIFA don't work around they said.
So I went, you know, and I told him, we don't know about FIFA, bro, we've never been invited. That's a movie. That's a weird movie. If Baby the World Cups in the World Cup, Mr World come to the World Cup. Yea, the world So I told people who like, yeah, you know, I'm ready. I'm ready to do this, but I need Will Smith. So I got Will. Will Smith never done the World Cup, so for him like huge, So I said, already got him in the World Cup.
And I heard he's doing Bad Boys. I'm like, yo, Will, already are doing Bad Boys again, and you got a decent part of Bad Boys. You know what I'm saying. That no, but this is the look at the answer he gave me, like, Yea, that's right, that's why we're doing Bad Boys. It's like you think I get a part. Then he's like, hey, if you do the casting and
you passing, you're good. Like damn. I thought she was gonna be easy casting, Like alright, bro, I'm doing the casting though, so I got you know what I'm saying. So I went to the casting. I'm telling you, this is three ladies with the poker face like there like this, I can't stand that ship and I'm acting and she's like you and I'm saying they were like, then I got the phone call that I got the part I'm saying, so I made it and yeah, and you know, hust guy,
but I mean a good things. I said, I could be big easy eating Hamburg if you want to start war, you know what I'm saying. And so it was easy, you know what I'm saying. I mean I didn't the end of the day. Um, getting fast is not a problem. Yeah, I told Will Will if y'all got another movie now in Corona, is a good time to give me, dude, because I've been eating. Like That's the other thing in the movie is you worked out one time and lost all the week and one it was a good time
to think back the cream now that it was crazy. Man. So the World Cup now before all this all, Enrique, you're in Colombia when you get the Enrique Cole we were. I was in Spain, I was tours. I was in a dread. Yeah. The song was one of the biggest Spanish songs out there. And uh, he is like, yo,
Nikki and Nikki les is gonna call you. You gotta understand for me, this is big because I came from like getting big, no, and I came from getting big from Colombia, not the tip, not from the base Puerto Rico. So for me, I was like for me to make big things and and and and and in my career it was like even begger because like I didn't go through the same way everybody went out. I went, I did it from from over here, not being Colombia. So he gets in the cause when he calls me like,
I hena, yeah, he's gonna call you. Then they called me with his accent theme they talked with her. Then he said that ship and I was like then he said, he was like, okay, I was getting for two minutes. But the dudes like, yo, I want to be I want to do I want to get on the remix of Travit Suda And I'm like, to be honest, I didn't see him on that song. They messing coming gonna get out. I'm like, I'm like, yo, you know what. This song is already hit, bro and it's already out there.
Don't think we should do a remix. I got this new track hustling. I'm hustling the dude and it's called it the Dome And this track is really crazy. I'm gonna sending it to you see if you like it. Bro that dude and fucking that dude recorded the song the next day and automatically and this is the crazies shit about this track. This song comes up he uh, he records the song and then I got paranoid and
I felt that I was going to commercial. So I was like, no, you know what, get the song out without Ricky and never the regulabor what the fund are you doing? Like no, no, no, get the song on without rick because I don't know. I got people from the streets of my reggae told music right now, I'm not gonna do no fucking commercial ship. That's pop. And then uh it came out a loom and they and then you know, I said like, okay, fun, let's do it.
Let's do it. So we did it as the best thing I did in my life because it bring me to pop sensation. Automatically the team made like that ship. I wasn't pop. I was popping in Israel and Swiss and all Europe because of this guy. Because your girls love this guy. You know what I'm saying. They love him to lie. So I mean, you know that's in greeking money right there. That's when I started winning breaking money, and then that was different. It's a whole different way
changing my career after that. You know that the song was number one for twenty eight weeks on the Billboard shots tweeny eats eats number one. That's why I got my Grammy and blah blah blah and all that ship. I was big for me too, because you know, like reggae tone artists wasn't winning Grammys. It was like more art ship, you know what I'm saying. Like, you know, it was easier to see somebody like girl Salia get a Grammy because she's seen Flamenco and she had like
an urban dark vibe. They get. Throw music wasn't really getting Grammys in those years. So for me to get a Grammy was huge, you know what I'm saying. If you see the video when I wanted, I jumped like a motherfucker. I did flip flops and everything, getting a great suit. I had a great scause, you know, I mean, I mean I was I was already like thirty five years old, thirty six years old, and this reggae tol music is for kids, you know what I'm saying. I'm
already forty something years. So I'm gonna say something. What I'm saying, No, I mean there's only there's only two singers in the reggae tone in the order mus Nicky Jammy got a Yankee. They all kids, all twenty something years old. So they see me in the gym, I'm like, chill out. You want a movie, you gotta wait a year. Yeah, So going through this all, what is what? What is?
What is the biggest movie? You would grab doing? Wait before you did that, because I needed I needed to comment on your hair cut in the movie at some point when you when you was going ate the whole Barbara cut you. Oh man, no, no, that was fake on purpose. I was faking. Oh my god. Jesse too. It was like, you know, Jesse, it looks it looks great expense little right there, Like yeah, yeah, I wanted to understand that. The weeks we always try the high ball,
you know what. But it was the time when you went to the hood and I think with the girl and the guy said, hey, your nagked jam He said, you don't know, you know what it was? I didn't have hair, so they put hair on me. They put it on me, so I had to you know, I didn't have had to put it. I know, tattoos, fat skinny. I hadn't even fat suit like you can make your lean was doing fucking I was doing forty million dollars
Hollywood Ship without winning forty million dollar Hollywood money. Holy moly, getting faggot and skinny tattoos off yo and ship ain't easy. Your neck get mad red because it's a part of it. Tattoos. Jesse was like, yeah, bro, people don't care, they get it. I'm like, fuck it, I'm here work. You know what I'm saying, because no, listen, no, I had to call him. Let me tell you something I had to call didn't go right there? Baby, Jesse, some baby? What did I
call you? What did I call you the other day? Say? Yes, here in my hair covers, I was, I was Jesse Man. I did say that, great Nick, Yes, like we did like we did, like we were doing forty million dollars Hollywood ship without getting that money. You know what I'm saying, Like, Yeah, let me ask you why I got your both on the floor. I know I got you, but why I
got you both together? When y'all went to Lawrence, you really went to Lawrence when y'all showed Columbia, did you really go to Columbia every week the budget was open. Let's make the noise for what that was me, And that was me and Jesse fighting like we gotta go to Puerto Rico. Let me just say, does not look like well, let me just tell y'all something. What wow? So let me tell y'all this is how good it is.
If you're not gonna do a part two to this one, you guys gotta go to the island and produce everyone else's story the same way, because that's how good it is you two guys together. I'm dead serious. I really enjoyed it. Oh goddamn, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I don't I ain't trupting on my money. Let me money. Let me well, just in case you don't know, I wanted to say congratulations to your face. You made a great
piece of art. And I've told you it's only two things I didn't understand was NICKI jams lost three hundred pounds and one trapped mill session. And here's how I'm gonna tell you this. Beat you what is that jam? You need that? Jaman and the porter gave me listen and the word we getting bother drop all the Dominicans. I did not like it. I did not last said, man,
that's my role right there. I thought I should have played Peter role long but all right, Jess, we're gonna hit you back ta give my brother, alright, Bro, I love that. I love you, Bro, love me. Y'all told my right Peter's role Peter, you know your your black friend that speaks Spanish. And from last Lawrence, I was like, yeah, I could have. I could have played that role. Couldn't I could play? Said who said that white? Why we
do know? When I played basketball? My good be like he looks good like you don't look like music is amazing. But I mean you get the whole said but you love me doing that ship? I mean she played basketball? Okay, okay, So um, after you live this life, after you go through all of this, what do you do for hoppies? What's it? What is what is something that you do to just to maintaining play golf or something? I played basketballsball even though I look ugly, and I played I
played basketball almost every day every day. I played basketball, and uh, I like going to the wall. But I'll be you know, being the sea in the boat, just chilling and doing music. But you know, like I've done it all, man, you know what I'm saying, I'll traveling the world. I've done it all. I just like chilling, bro just telling with my friends, you know, eating and you know it's crazy that you know how much of
a Columbia is a savior for you. I'm gonna tell you, like first, a couple of times me going to Puerto Rico as a grown man, I would smoke, but and mom, Mom will be like, oh my god. And then at the same time, I look that you do. That's what's wrong with you. So I never I never knew that that was like when you had to see when I was doing coke, and obviously Yankee didn't do very funny to see, you had to see the way Yankee would look at me when I was like really cooked up.
He was sitting on me. He would go like, I'll be like this, like and Yankee me like this. Yankee will literally do this. And women did coke, you know, just sucked up with somebodyhood his teeth. He would he was doing I don't want them. I trying to do and I can't talk to I'd be like I don't dad, and and and going coked up inside wald Brings is
the worst thing in the world. I need to hear this walk like, oh my god, wrings when you're doing when you sunked up and drudge is the worst thing is that light is like everybody don't you inside was like and I was like Niki Young and oh god,
it's crazy, bro, this beautiful. I'm really proud of what you went through, how much of a man that you are, because so many people would be better, and so many people would not have took the same situation like in this, in this, in the in the movie, you keep writing the same song. Wasn't really like that because you kept having the pad and your pops was waking up. I didn't do I didn't do a hint for a long time. So I was really focusing on this song, to the
one song, and that was be inside me. I needed it hit I'm not yours, not that, but that was my last hit. What was the new one? That he was right? And you kept saying to your pants man and me that bittings that was in me, and when you going to were saying it was too slow, it was too slow, too romantic because everybody was doing that yo, get over bad the other thing. You know what I'm saying, that good ship, and I was too romantic with that ship. The song came out and didn't do anything, so it
became a hit a year after in Columbia. You know what I like was when you went to do the interview in Colombia and like you guys just bullied your way on you. There was a show. They didn't want to us stay. They wanted like people that were really, you know, killing the game. So my my manager, he hustled. He said, I got this guy, got yeah, this guy and this guy. So when we got to the shows like yo, they can't make it, but we got naked
and I'm over here, like what's good? So the thing is I was already killing the game and the streets. But the TV shows they didn't know who the funk I was. They didn't believe that ship. So I said, I promised the lady like I'm gonna make those numbers for you, just give me a shot. I sang the song and the ratings went up and they're like, okay, so this guy is really somebody you know. Of course,
I did a whole bunch of shows back. And that's why, because in that moment, it was really hard to go in TV like Columbian TV if he wasn't from Columbia. You know what I'm saying. So I wanted to love. To be honest with you, I'm here because of love Columbia gave me. You know what I'm saying. They gave me so much love, so much love, and they made me feel they made me feel like I was part of Columbia. What's that true? In the movie when Jake
Album pulled up, Yeah, yeah, I mean Jay Bobby. The thing is Jay Bobbi being was he knew what was living in Puerto Rico and Colombia, and he's I want to see Nikki Jackers for him. Imagine, you know what I'm saying. So I was like spilt into my way inside the club and he pulls up, not in not in a Ferrari. He had a range rover in that moment, which it was big and Colubia, and he pulls up and everybody's like Jay Bobbin's I'm like, oh, I don't want this guy to see me trying to hustle and
come inside. So he comes. You know what saying it's like, yes, Jay, Bobbin's gonna turn around. You know, he comes out with a swag. You don't know how that feels when you know somebody you wanted, somebody want good. You know what I'm saying. I know. I mean, I'm gonna tell you this story is the funniest thing. Man. It sounds better
in Spanish. But I remember, so we seen. We seen was like it was in their best moment, and we see was very like, you know, his vibe was like so he was okay, so we seene sees me like I was fucked up. I was sucked up. Like what's up? Man? I'm like, good man, you know, I'm just you know, hustling. He's like, yeah, man, we just did this show right now, we got a million dollars for the show. We get
a collaboration with doctor. We're doing this right now, We're doing this and then that, by the way, what are
you doing? And I'm like I'm buying chicken And he's like okay, okay, cool, cool, cool, all right, I'm gonna go play golf and Franco and I'm like, oh shift, I'm gonna go play golf, Frankle at anything, like like this, you know what I'm saying, Like, those are one of the moments that really reflected in my life because I was like, when you see somebody that's doing good and they're seeing you doing fucked up, those are moments that you sometimes if you're weak, you go crying the car
alone because you're like, it's an embarrassment and the problem with you guys don't understand, Like when you're famous and you lose you and I understand understand you. I got stories, bro, I better go. The worst thing in Puerto Rico, specially, there's nothing worse than still being famous and being broke because the people like go like yo, yeah, yo used to have this, So why are you driving this car? Why?
You know they're like and they know it. But you know, the people, some people are harsh, you know what I'm saying. They're going so it's it's hard man. One time I was in a I was in a think it was a Mazda bro that. Yeah, I don't know how. I don't know how you're saying it is. Yeah, that sounds nicer than English. That's just like a protegee, very prode and you know, the car just got sucked up. The card got sucked up and uh and and I remember that. I was like, how the funk am I gonna get
out this car? People gonna know who I am? And the police came. I'm like, holy shit. I remember the police officer like what happened? And you get young the card like and I'm like, bro, He's like you, what's wrong the cars? You gonna have to do something. You gotta get out of him like, yo, can you hook me up? He looked at me like what hook you up? I'm like, I mean you know, I mean you could push that. They push that. You want me to push the car, I'll push the car. You gotta get the funk.
I would push you with me, Like that's the whole point, bro, I don't want to come out help me man if I get out of this car, and I'm those are one of the embarrassments that I was talking about. And I come out of the car and I started pushing the car with the police officers and the car it was fucked up. It wasn't a brand. It wasn't only the brand. It was the way the car was. You
know what Sunny knows. You know, I was gonna scream like because pe Putterwey gives me like we're not talking about We're not talking about like today it was even worse because today it will be a hundred and fifty cameras. You know what I'm saying. Like sometimes I left in my car and my fucking rolls Royce with no guys saying. What I do is I made a phone call and I said no guts, so enough boom, get on the car at the funk out and I leave that ship
to anybody to deal with. I ain't gonna get recorded trying to funk with the car, none of that. I've seen some of the artists with no gus and calling a stupid as fun. One thing that something happened with with Siam and the apt Oh my god, that's that's anohing you do. All the embarrassments I can telling you how to read. You know, my sister gave me like this is like the last checked this out. My sister gave me um she signed for a car from me. You know what I'm saying. I needed a car, so
we gotta it was. It was max maxim. It was a lot better. Okay, Okay, I put rings from in everything. You know, we could be broke, but we may we get those rims anywhere. So the thing is I didn't pay the car like for six months man, and uh they had the police over there. They called vehicle dollar like cops just for stolen cars. But they didn't have no no uh stickers or nothing in the car. So I thought it was somebody just trying to like do
something to me. So I just went and then the helicopters and everything and and I was on my way to go to Columbia. They noticed I didn't know it was me, so it was like no police than I, okay, I'm good. Then I when I went out, everybody went on me, all the cops and on me, fucking helicopters everything, and the cops like got me out and put me
against the fucking thing. He broke my wrist. So I was crying and ship and I'm telling him, your bro, I need to do a show in Columbia because the guy that paid me in Columbia, serious guy, is a serious guy I don't want to funk with. So you know, So I was in a funked up situation and I needed to stop. At the the it was like the Colombian uh in the embassy, the Colombian embassy thing to get my passport, to get the visa to go worker. So the problem is, I, uh, they take me this.
It was so this is gonna be quick. Let's do this. We'll take you to the to the to the station. You know what I'm saying, and um, if everything's okay your car, you know, you will just give you a paper and you come back and go to court. Like I fuck it. So I go over there. It's like, okay, perfect, We're gonna check your car. If there's nothing in your car, you're good to go. I had some perks in the car. Oh my god, damn you had a stats good or no, you had a little bout a little bit a little boy.
They don't let you go back to your car because they gotta check saw him. And I'm like Ship, And then I just acted like I didn't know. Ship was on the phone. And I went to the car get the bottle. How you can't be in the car. My bad, I'm bad, I'm sorry. So I went out. They checked the car. Everything is good. When I get to the embassy was closed, but the lady was outside and she's like, here your passport. I got you. I saw the news. I was on the news. Helicopters, the old thing, my
sister calling me, and I went to the airport. Everybody was laughing, Yo, what happen? You know? So I'm at the airport and I lost. I lost the flight and signing Alantics was there and signs like there's only one, that there's only one ticket and was first class. I'd have no money and signs like I'll buy the ticket, so he took care of me. I went to Columbia, did the show, pay sign the money, and from there
on I stayed in Columbia. So like the record Union, it should be a Reggae Thrown Union, because you know what, I'm gonna be honest, um, nicky Jam. When I did Reggae Thrown, everybody cut me off from the from the hip hop world because they saw you sad. What do you what it means? First of all, now, yes, listen, this is just label. I'm gonna tell you. Let me tell you how deep it was, man, because I don't think I've ever said this story. I love my people, so I know I wasn't the real reggae throw Like
I just loved the music. I wanted to do something for it. So I had I had a record called Throw My Reggae Throne because I wanted DJ enough Camillo. I wanted these people to play it. They couldn't play it. So I went and I got a verse from a person. His name is cool Kid DJ coo Kid. At the time, this is when I'm scovering reggae thron, so I know all your motherfucker's records. I don't know who your motherfucker's are, but I know the record because I'm just I'm vibing
into it. So I get come across the dude named they Go God. It all his verse for a god named DJ Hookey. So I did a record only for the Puerto Rican the parade facts it was only La Porade. Every year I get hired as a as a as a Puerto Rican from New York, I do the Porto Rigan Parade. I never have a record to I got. I got start. Oh God, that's not good. It's not good. It's not good to play in three o'clock in the afternoon and Street and Broadway coming on town. It's not good.
Like kids out there. So I make this record just to miniate my friend Big Punt the original version. You're on the original version, you don't so the original version of just body Money, and now he's singing on yeah you know ship. I was so at the time, at the time, this is the whole breakdown. I'll never swept. At the time, I was wrong for taking things verse and putting it on right. I was wrong being honest that verse. Huh. I said that they felt some kind
of way they messed up. Hip Hop doesn't always have to make sense, you understand hip hop? Okay, all right, hip hop doesn't always have to make sense, but it has to work. So when they go and I put out the record, we got word from that, you know, think it might be a little upset because we didn't ask permission. We just I just felt like, YO were all Porto weekends like this is be together. So I got word of this new guy that's coming out. His name is Daddy Yankee. Daddy Yankee contacts us, so we
contact him. Let's be clear because it's super old. So Old said this is the next guy if they go front, he's the guy put him on. So we get on the phone with him and Yankee says, by the way, they goes asking us fifty all right, I'm working with the biggest of the biggest. We ain't even getting twenty from me, bro, So when I had fifty tho, I kind of feel like disrespect at the time. But Jankie very small because strategic person. Oh yeah, Poppy, I don't
want nothing. I threw this ship for free. He hustle for that. Love the Lord, how are you thinking? And he killed it? Super Bowl says, no, you're not doing it for free. You're gonna get on Garcelina. At the time, Gazelina didn't leave by your mom and didn't leave both and say and then it was all so when I told him I gonna get on gar Selina, Yankee said, holy the fuck. Let's be clear. I'm a legend too. Let's come on, man, let's just be clear. I looked at you too. So when I told Yankee, I knew
what Gacelina and I was lying. But I listened to super Bowl. Yeah, I listened to super Bowl. I keep getting less here. I ain't even be iin't even realizing that. And it set all. It was the perfect time for the Latino storm was I'm gonna be honest with you because and listen, I will see it this way, you sacrifice, I sacrifice us to three years. I'm just sacrifice people us. I'm just about four years. They're telling me after that
after only be come to work. It worse, worse. It wasn't better like you would think the ship I paid depth Jam's bill for three months, for three or four months, we had a number one record in the country, and you know, you would think that that ship would give
me love. You know what people were saying. I would go back to the radio stage and they're like, aren't you Puerto rican You take this into take this into a bad guy like I know Samon Locome And then I went to Puerto Rico and oh yeah, no, ain't no play like he didn't speak English at the time.
I didn't speak great Spanish, but I understood no bair, no hard man, yo, nobody I sacrifice really, you know, man, you know this is be clear b T. It was like, we don't know about adding a video with somebody named Daddy Yankee because the name was so weird that now it's you know, natural, it's new. You know. I just hated to deal with cold cold. Yeah, hold on, everything's gotta deal with pep. Seen your whole movie. Pep seen it got that now that one. So I can tell you, man,
that's how much I sacrifice. Man, that's how much. It was really really rough for me. People was looking at me like, yo, even it's my partner. Bro. Yeah, I'm sorry. I thought, listen, I know you're him. Fat Joe both called me and says, stop, don't do it. Am I life and you gotta keep it. You're not lying, You're not lying. What did you say? Just just just so Nikki jam don't do what you hear me? Come on even talk, I said, I said, now try. I remember
when you started doing a verse. I thought you was cracking jokes because it was like this regged Spanish. I hadn't even like. I had just heard about they get done in a trip to Puerto Rico in two thousand at Stargate Echo and and I was like, what is this ship? Bro? And he was like, this is gonna take over the world. I'm like, I don't know. And then you started doing it and I was like, bro, you're crazy right now, what are you doing? And then the ship took off? Man? But you know you real quick,
I was, but real quick. The reason why a lot of at least Latinos in the States had that mentality because we were fighting for our respect and hip hop as is it's true to hear that they get done.
It felt like it was going against that grain, but it's obviously now looking back at everything, what it's done for Latinos internationally is without saying, you know what I'm saying, no, no, I I agree with you and I know what you're talking about because I was in those days and I know it was like you don't know even when I saw you there like he so listen, this is how really was was. I would go to I want to I don't want to say America, but I would go
to New York. But like, yo, why you're not playing this. You don't have to have this recket. You don't have you don't have a little soul by soul, you don't have these reckets. And they'd be like they just so the only thing I had to do was put myself in the situation. So when I did it, I for obviously I wanted UH had gold. Then when Yankee, I mean after Yankee, we jumped on gas Selina and it put me to a level where it was no coming back.
Everyone just looked at me like I sold out but to my own people, which was insane because I told people my first rhyme, I said, j Laulist got you, I said, I said in the beginning, I talked, I would got Blan. That's that's part me. I can't believe that guy Brol. So you have me come through crazy bro, It's funny man. World is crazy, man. I mean, you know, sometimes you see people you never think you're gonna meet him never, you know what I'm saying, Like, um, remember
but you did have a deal with Pepsi. I did. I did. I did his own shot niggers in your own movie and still gotta deal with Pepsi and performed at the World Cup. You're really Pepsi you're thinking about y'all trust me, man, Listen, He's shot that s was real. Like I'm sitting there that gun did it. Yo. But that's a great, great story. Um, Now, what was what was the moment when you and Yankee we spoke about a little bit and you said that you wanted to
get back up for before you did it. But what was that moment where you was like, Yo, I played myself, let me let me make this right, Yeah, I mean you mean what Yankee? You mean, well, I mean everything in general. But me and yell look, me and Yankee, we already we squashed to be before everything happened. Is we was in the first class of plane like that. Yeah, it was. It was weird because American Airline, Oh motherfucker's
did on purpose. I mean not American Airline, but the workers American and they like they knew we had like a little war going on. And then like that's what they did that And Yankee got that smile like he's sitting down there, he's seeing me. I'm gonna sit down and he goes like uh and I laughed, you know what I mean, all up, And we sit down and we talk, and you know, I said, you know, man, my bad, let's do the all mentality and that at that time, it was like, yo, just just ego your way.
I go my way. I didn't. I disrespected you. I didn't do the right thing, and and I recognized it, and and then we didn't see each other until I was then I came back to the music, and man, man, that's what's you know, what was what's crazy about you through this whole thing is your honesty, like I mean, you know, I'm gonna tell you this, no ego. That's the worst send to me of of a man, you know what I'm saying, Because it doesn't let you get out of your comfort zoom, and that's why you never
be bigger man. I don't care about losing. I don't care about being embarrassed anymore. I don't care about nothing because I already went through all that. You know what I'm saying to that, and and everything. Everything embarrassed for you right now? You know what more embarrassing. I thought I was just making conversations. I saw you kind of man,
and a little I was like ship. But you know, I mean, I think the best thing in the world is just to be real man, and be real if you funked up, but funked up, I lost it and I got it back. I feel good now because you know I'm I'm that guy that everybody knew that I lost everything, and now I got more than I could ever imagine. You know what I'm saying. I live a good life. I got four kids, you know what I'm saying. They all big now, they all live in a good life.
They all study, and they're all in college. You know, I got, I got, I got my mom. My mom is good, my dad's good. I helped my dad have his all his beautiful home. My mom as well. They both feel beautiful. So not no grammys, no nothing. It's bigger than that, you know. So, but there's no embarrassment. There's no embarrassment that can make me feel bad because I did my job. And your mom trying to stab
a dude seven times? No no, no no, actually she's in Dominican Republic because she stabbed to do seven times. She said, with self defense. She said, to the to the to the to the j others just like yeah, but self defense seven times, like what he kept coming out, So I kept seven and you know, saving like he didn't go, didn't she had so proud of was like seven times self defense. My mom said, he got up seven times. He kept trying, you know, and I had
to like defend myself seven times. But you know, my mom was My mom was a crazy one. She's gangs to My mom is gangsters. Having she didn't have taken the ship and there's something fed on at my corey. But she lives in some Thiago right now. And my mom is the one that she's like, oh yeah, like she was manning on me, like tell everybody. Yeah. He was like, Mom, you know I love that because I got her know what I'm saying, And uh, I looked
for my whole life. And then one of the reasons why I wanted to be famous is because I wanted my mom to find me, and she found me in the show. The show just like that. Bro, That's that's the point that made me cry. I'm gonna tell you another. I tell you what I'm going And when you when you listen, when you when you refused to go back to Porto Rico, right show, when you did that, like because you got a gangster from left Fragment. Listen. My father,
my father, Puerto Rican stone cold fifteen tattoos. He knows them tattoos and rings, super super you know, one of those, you know, those tough Puerto Ricans. So he never thought I was rhyming. I told him I was rhyming. I had the War Report album come out, and then finally I go to see him in Seattle, Washington. What what what? What? That comes out? It's the number one record. My father looks at me like, oh my god, Papeter I'm so sorry. I thought you were lying the whole time, said, I'm sorry,
you're piece of ship. My father told me he's a tough guy. Don't know black like the blackness the only quarter weekan want to tell he's jogging, he's fighting three three guys like this is. This is the earliest memory of my father. My mother big you know, thick, the thick, the typical thick black girl. My father is your color with green eyes. Right, this is real ship. Pull up a picture when you every anyway, this is my first
memory my mother father. It's three black guys come up to my mother and say, hey, we we this Spanish guy for we even And my father goes, hey, man, leave my leave my lady alone. And these three guys say, ah. My father goes into ice cream Pollo. He buys three guys ice cream cone. So the guys go as they looked the ice cream called my father too. And from that moment on, my father was my hero. I said, fuck,
Bruce Lee, I'm gonna tell you the story of Monday. Okay, okay, okay, when you was when I was that was right, seven years old. My dad, you know so saw you was laughing, right, this guy was like this guy was in the car like you're fuck you, and my dad no, fuck you. And then my dad looks tell me. They say, yeah, when someone dou never take ship from nobody, Never take ship from nobody. Then the guy gets off the car.
Guys like seven foot tall like that guys like when the guys that that big No not that made me slick because I was like, I learned that that was a good advice actually, because sometimes I want to eat the world. Bro, I mean, the battles you can't win, so you gotta be like my dad was giving me like it was funny, but at the same time like yeah, man, I mean dude, you know, dude, I can't win this. Dude something to be chill. Let me tell you. I don't want to look stupid. I'm still here, you know
what I'm saying. And I study in the one of the I don't know if you guys know about Lawrence, but Lawrence is serious. Serious law ain't But even even the Irish kids fought like like, like, you know what I'm saying, was there ever a moment where you felt like you was gonna give up? Uh? Well, you know the thing is, uh it was one time that I was gonna do a normal job. This is when you da Rosa. No, this is no Rosa. Was in Colombia, in Puerto Rico. I was gonna do a normal job,
normal like like like a regular job, taxi ding. I was gonna working. Uh, I was gonna work in a foot locker. Thing is full. Locker wasn't hard for me because I was a hustler and you like sneakers. Yeah, like listening that was good, you know what I'm saying. I feel like I was inquested with that Mango people. You got com Jorgers, girl, you're gonna buy them. Georgia, You've got your girl, Jordan. You know what I was doing. You know I was doing okay, but I felt like
I was like, this ain't met. Yeah, this ain't mean. You know what I'm saying. I'm bigger than this. I'm not gonna disrespect that working a foot locker. You know I did it too, But I felt that I had so much And I when when I was seeing doing with mind out of Yankee, they we see you on dead, I said, I gotta be up there. I mean I know that I know the talent that I have. You know, what I'm saying. I mean, I'm like the very few,
uh speaking. But how hard is that? Because at one point those names, as you said, they were named the Kings, but now your name is But how hard was it to come up to that? You know what I'm saying, Like, it was really hard, man, It was really hard those three Kings, right, it was like two more. You know what I'm saying. But you know, I don't want to get take nobody's credit out. But what I'm trying to say is I know I had to be top. I
knew it because I know the talent to have. I mean, I'm a rapper, I could sing, I have melodies, I freestyle. I'm like I did, I did everything. Why I am not up there? And I knew. You know when you know you can see somebody playing basketball and you know that I'm giving you an example. You know you could take him and he's on top, and you like, what
do you mean I'm better than this dude. I'm not saying that I'm better than than than Thong or they go like Yankee like no, that the top dogs, But I know I could be there with that, and you know that that made me work harder you know what I'm saying. But the situation that happened with you know, when I got funked up because of the drugs and health wise, helped me appreciate every every time I was
in the studio, every song. And that's why I got so focused, you know what I'm saying, Because I thought I was gonna lose my life. So that made me really get on it. You know what I'm saying. Puerto Rico is probably the only place I got ever offered heroin in my life. But I've been all over the world. No one said he probably no one has ever than that to me. I mean, you know, it's like everywhere. Man.
You know, Puerto Rico is a very beautiful country and it has beach, has a lot of beautiful things, a lot of beautiful, hard working people coaching that. But tell me, but it has a stark fun you would never move back to Puerto Rico. I will never move back to Puerto Rico. That's a good question. Um, I'm gonna tell you this. I'm gonna tell you why I will never move to Puerto Rico. No disrespect to my to my bouty and my country. It reminds me a lot of my of my bad moments, it's just that they got
nothing to do with with the country. I love my country. It's crazy because Columbia mind your beautiful moments and everyone else in life that reminds me a lot of that reminds me of that. And and you know it when I go I enjoy it to three days. I enjoy it in New York. But it's it's, you know, it just it reminds me because I went through a lot of bad things in Puerto Rico. It's not Puerto Rico's fault.
It's my fault, but I went through it. So you don't want to go back to a place that reminds you of all that bad energy and all that ship that you went through, even though it was my fault.
So you know, I don't see me living in Puerto Rico, not now, probably when I'm older, you know what I'm saying, because it is a beautiful country, like you know, like there's a lot of things that you laying without the eights, you know, like the beaches, crystal clear water white saying you know we just went to Vegas, right, Yeah, I liked it that. Yeah, that's from my you know, from like damn from you know, and that's what that's the movie.
Let me just tell you something, bro, And I want to admit this right now because you know why I'm gonna get this from you. I was mad. I felt like a sponge. I felt like a sponge that was used right because I really put reggae throng before before everybody. I put it. I put it on the forefront for me. Am I messing up with the sound. I hit my chest, all right, cool? Cool? So when I didn't see the love back, I got thetter. So you know, I making jokes.
You know, me and Joe might have said some couple of things about that and get keeping the real, keeping it real week. I don't know if you heard it. I heard it Joe definitely, and I co signed. I was there. I love Yankee, Me, I love Yankee. We haven't spoke. We haven't spoke, but I'm not I'm not. Uh, what do I say, like if I don't speak to you for two years, however we left it that two years, I'm gonna be that same way. That's me, that's who I am. But if you change on me, I'm gonna
take it personal because I especially for him. I sacrificed and I never told him what I sacrificed because he didn't deserve. Not to say he didn't deserve it. He did deserve it, know it. But I did it. I didn't do it for him. I did it for the movement. The movement was bigger than me. I knew. I knew that you will be sitting here. I knew that, you know. I knew you guys. I knew Reggae throw would be the biggest ship in the world. I knew that ten
years ago. Ten years ago, you can get some boys. Yeah, yeah, I'm sorry, I'm yeah, you're spip TV. We sacrificed so much. I'm talking about we put so much because I didn't want to be wrong. And ship was if they're gonna flip with me and they're gonna cut me off, and guess what, let me be right for it. Let me not be wrong. So I just kept going, kept going. And that's why you know I jumped on reggae throwing Latino. You know, boy Wonder up and said, you know, the
boy went no, no, no. I did with Daddy. Yankee taught me I don't want the money, boy, Wonder you take that let me jump that and do it. And I started to do that, and I really really really really really sacrifice. So when I didn't get that lot back, I'm sorry. It looks like his bottom you something put it out. He's not the highest I'm sorry, I'm doctor, doctor, don't but we're trying to keep ship together. Like look,
so I cut to our ship. So I kind of was better and and it was fucked up at me because I learned from you from watching um that I was the only better. I was better a Yankee. I was better with the gregge thrown community, and I was better with the island for something that was terrible. I was bugging, you know what I mean. I said it to my friend Ike the other day. I said, I was a little I said, I said, this is how good Nikki James movie is. But that's good that he's
saying this. He made me miss Puerto Rico, that you're saying this, and you're saying this on the camera. You know what I'm saying, And uh, you know, and and you know and and that a Yankee is he's a good man. He's a man. He's a man with a lot of good values. You know what I'm saying was to throw me back, like when it was time, like when I like at the time the end of the day, I didn't use him, he didn't use me. We use
each other to go to that level. And once we both got to a level, all I wanted was all ja Poppy, that's it that I got. I don't need like that. I'm good. I'm a hustle I always. I've been who I am before they get throwing them gonna be who I am after reggae throw No, I understanding.
That's all I wanted, you know. And at that time, when I see you in um the jeweler, yeah, the jew I saw you with the jewel and I said, and I said, damn, you know Nicky jam coming he ships watched, so I'm looking and I'm like, damn, and I know, I know it's your brother. I know. I didn't know how to approach you. Yeah, so I didn't know. I was like, okay, and he's like, he's like pop. And when we took each other's number, but I still I didn't know how to approach you. And it wasn't
until I watched the movie. When I watched the ship no man, like I said, he's a he's a good guy, bro. And then I'm sure that you guys would work anything out and talking, you're gonna find each other's little nice With me, I don't have no problem. It's just I was at that point I was disappointing. You know what I'm saying is I just felt like, you know, what I did was sacrifice alive. But it wasn't for him.
It was for the movement. So when he but probably if he listens to you, like yeah, so when he's you know, you didn't know your story, Yeah, there you go. He probably just saw I was elicondandor. But I appreciate it. Let me just tell you something. I appreciate it because it wasn't It wasn't some remarkable ship that made me feel different. It was your story. When I sat there, I said, cocks, Oh my god, I love it. I missed the cheach it on the point come west. So
I miss it and you get you catch it. That's my ship. But I missed it because of when I when I watched the movie, when I watched it and sit there and I see how will you kept it? And I see you he was going to the cops of the Eels and and I gotta thank you for that. They're gonna thank you for that because us your first let me throwing about this. You came, kept your word.
I thought, I thought I ain't a lot and I was watching the movie you canceled a lot of ship, different ship, So I was like when you text me, was like, yo, you come like I definitely said that I'm ready. I'm ready. No, no, no, man, you know, everything happens for a reason. You know what I'm saying. I knew, I knew that situation with Yankee and then he did call me. You know, I'm like going on why I didn't do ship. It was like, yo, bro, you know what I'm saying, Like, you gotta remember Yankee
got on on Fat Joe's track because of me. I was like, h I mean I thought he was cool and I said I thought too, and you know he was like you kind of mad with me in that situation and he had all the reason too. But you know what I mean, just ship happens, bro, But you know what it is. We're all we're all brothers in a different way. So the thing about it is and we're all bosses, we're all man. So guess what it could be misunderstood. I don't think I don't think Daddy
is a bad person at all. Oh hell no, no, no, no, no, no. He's strict with his business because he keeps a close circle. Even if he's like a jay Z in the spassages. Even when you look at me and Joe joking, if you look at this, she always say, but that's my man. Still love him. I still say that because because you know we're joking, like I don't get to see you, don't get to speak to you. But let's get back to you right now. So you've never you said you
never felt that chance to quit? And how about have you ever felt that chance when you felt better? Other than Daddy Yankee but other artists. No, man, I've never had that mentality. I always knew that if I was sucked up, it was my fault. You know what I'm saying. I always thought it was my fault. And uh, the mentality that I had was just I'm gonna earn my spot because sometimes you always mad with a lot of things.
You want collaborations, you want people to help you. But come on, man, you can't retire the game of baseball and come back and say you want to play with the New York Yankees, you gotta do, you gotta do, you gotta start again to go pro. So that's the way I saw it. I was just being real. I can't take it personal. So my mentality was like, I'm gonna do good and I'm ready to you know, I'm ready to play when you got back on top. Now,
this is real ship. You ever want the front or somebody come on, But it's But I did it in a different way. I didn't do it the way that everybody thought. Okay, I'm sorry. I didn't do it the way everybody thought I was gonna do it. I did collapse with them. I helped them in the moment that they needed it and charged them two d because I went free and I hooked them up and I gave them the masters and I showed him. That's how Jesus
Christ is. Jesus Christ Mo mentality heavy duty. The part of the someone says, part of the song says, uh the song I said, um, I I said that in the song. You know what I'm saying, Like, Bro, I didn't. I didn't pay people with the same ship they gave me, because that's what they expect you. You got to show people what what kind of man would I be if I do the exact fucked up ship that you did to me. Well, I'm gonna show you that you did it right. You know what I'm saying. So I'm on
top right now. I'm gonna educate you. I'm gonna show you no, no, no, this is what you needed to do. You needed to help me, like I'm helping you. So now you have the knowledge that I gave you, and you have the education, and now when you're gonna help somebody else. So I'm spreading love and I'm spending education to the world instead of spending the same fucking mentality. I don't want to. I don't want people to come in and be like, yeah, see, I knew he was
gonna suck me up like that funk that nigga. No no, no no. I want people to say, damn you know you helped me. I love that face. I love that face more than stunning on you in front of I love seeing you going like yo, bro, thank you. It makes me feel good. I want to help people. I don't want to be the same piece of saying it's all about the one thing we got to your watch game. Your watch game is very serious. But I watched I watched in the beginning of a watch In the beginning,
you were very honest. You didn't have a crazy watch on as a young Nikki jan No, I didn't. But then once you got up there, you had that scudding a bust down not the thing of the thinon. Uh. I love watches. I always thought since I was a kid, to watch makes a man. It doesn't matter to watch. You got you just got you got something. You need something on your wrist, you know what I'm saying. So I don't know because I'm I'm forty years or or something like, I'm gonna be honest with you, forty son.
There's a change that I was wearing. I was that ship was driving me fucking crazy, Like it was like as heavy as fucking I just like, I just feel better with the watch. I think with the watch game, you clean, you got a good ass watching It talks a lot about you. Now. I had that Jesus peace and I was like, I'm like, I'm gonna take the ship off and I'm gonna put it on. And then when I sat here like can I take my ship off? Yo? But I can't just I can't have changed anymore. But
I feel like I'm too costrophobic for that ship. But the watches everything. Man, I look at everybody's watching when I talk sometimes and business. But I mean, you know when even really state like something like like y'all this is I'm like, bro, you want to tell me that I was little to watch? You got right? I don't want you got what's wrong with you? My bro Caesar and Jays crazy, he has like he you know, he's good,
but he rents a mini van here. The first time he said that he came, he came in a minivan. And I'm like, bro, you in a minivan And he's like, man, I mean I don't go anywhere. Like, no, man, he shouldn't go anywhere because you know what I'm saying. I mean, you got more than a thousand units were in a white Many of that was no tent because when you got the tent window, you hiding in that motherfucker. But it's like he's out there, you know what I'm saying.
He's more humble than me, way more humble. Now did you ever work for fifth tv NA? Never? I mean I didn't. I think I did a track for Little Wayne and never came out. It was a Little Wayne, uh my Luma and I don't know who else. It never came out. But that's my boy thought. Okay, okay, bigger to Spift TV like that big up to to spif because you know what I'm saying, he's one of the one of the guys that believe to and reggaetone
with a lot of people wasn't believing on it. If you would believe how many times he broke and well around Yeah, and no one listened to him. Nobody, nobody listened to him. Bro Like I agree, wells like you have a relationship. Yeah, that's my boy. Tracks with him, I got tracks with everybody, Mama. Tality is not to have problems with nobody. You know what I'm saying, Like, I have no beef for no singers, and you know some of them got beat for me, so sometimes they
got me for you. You don't even know you know what I'm saying, Like, I mean, I know a lot. Because that was the That was the one thing that I couldn't get clear to you, right Like when they talked about Donald Marred, I forget who they said, but they talked about the Goo. They said thego was like Biggie.
When you talk Aboutdaddy Yankee. They said that Daddy Yankee was like a bust of rhymes mixed with the jay Z. The one character that I didn't see, They just said Nikki Jams. Nicky Jam like you or do you feel like that, like you're just a character on your own, just just a person. I'm I don't know. I just think that would you compare yourself to a hip hop artist? Who would it be musically or you mean I mean
personality wise? I mean you do both, which every one you're comfortable with ship, bro, Let mean see, because I don't know if there's somebody like me in the Spanish, in the in the in the hip hop games. It was Netflix that did a deal with Telemundo, so they didn't do it in the States, so then do it so that they wanted to pay Netflix. Man, You're really a legend, man, Nikki, Man, I really appreciate you coming hanging out with us. You know, we smoke, we we drink. But oh that's good, but you can't
do it because because of health. I want to expect you.
I wanted to you know what, There's two things that was confused about, right, because one, I wanted to give the best interview when I interview you, right, But then I also wanted to give you the super respect, right, And I'm just giving you the super respect because I really I really just so you know how to man and man, I really respect you and I respected you prior to do on the investigation of you, but now I respect you fifteen million more, which is preduded because again,
you know, I judged the whole movement based on the putty songs that we're making. Everyone is I forget you, Oh my god, the hood, the body of city or local. Then around quick time of slime. You're ready, quick, Thomas Slim, You're ready for everybody? Come quick, Thoma Slive. I'm gonna give you two choices. You just you just pick whatever one you're ready. Nicki Mina's Cardi b Nicki Minaj, Daddy Yankee and well Dad Yankee, lost Congrease, Lengary, Okay, Goola,

Damn, Oh my god, you really give everybody. I gotta do it. Didn't get everybody. That's that's fucking beautiful. I gotta do it, man, gotta do it. I wanted. I used to beat him up back in the days. And my father say, hey, you cannot do nothing to any Latino in here. So he made a Latino and the projects. It's only like fourteen families. I was when I was
like four, asked this guy for what you said? Holy ship, my wife for you. You gotta get me some What are you trying to do? See? Yeah, my crazy like that's my boss man. I'm really really quarter Reacon. Listen. Listen to Fat Joe. Listen Fat Joe. At one point, I'm not Dominican. I love Dominicans, I love you, I love I love Santi that Comball I love. But so I told Fat Joe for years you know I'm Puerto Rican for real. But Joe was like, huh, how you saying earlier? You want have talked to me. If you
look at my brother, it's the same ship. We got the same eyeb look at I can't fake right right about so fat Joe. So I said, Yo, my my family is going to come to the show. You really Puerto Rican my whole family. So I'm sorry, man, Let's make some noise, man, keep going, man, I really

Got that in Hinatown because the telemoon or that that's the rum of the rumor Mondo Blue blocked y'all out universal.
I don't know what happened, but that's Netflix problem. Then, So how did you get how did you get approach to that? When did they say they say you want to do a movie and you looked at Tupac ships actually actually that you know, we want to do a movie, and The crazy thing is where we signed a deal with Netflix to do the show. Ja Don wanted to do the movie. I mean as what as us is that got to be do? Yeah, she wanted to do We already had we already had the business with Netflix.
The script it was this Puerto Rican dude and the Mexican dude and the names. Bro. I'm sorry, I gotta I'm not. I've never been good with that shape with names. But it's so how did they write? They sat down and they and they interviewed you, the interview me with a tape recorder, and I told him my whole story,
these mothers. So sometimes that's the problem that a lot of things are good, like miss out because you can't say everything and once one time you sit down, you know, because that's my That's that's what I will dadd Yankee, what is what is dad? Yangeese? Movie name? What made you not want to do a movie and made you do a series because of your stories? Because serieses was popping right now exactly. You know what I'm saying that it was the right way to do business. I'm not
asking you. Yeah, and I got like, you know, Colombians was killing it right now. So I got the Columbia World on it, I got the Puerto Rican World on I got you know, the US, you New York. You know, it's a little bit of everything. Man. Yes, we congratulations on everything. Man, I appreciate you. I appreciate you. Man, thank you for coming here. I'm not gonna lie. I was so scared because you know, I wasn't scared after
I've seen through the trip, the series. But the thing is, I didn't want you to take it as if you know, like because I did those shots at that world for some time because what I was going through. But I know you understand because of what I've just seen you go through. So this is the reason why I wanted to say on here because now for me, I've missed my island. Now i want to go back to Porto Beco. I'm not gonna stay like you gonna stay. I'm gonna go have some fun. No, the island is the same, man.
It's beautiful, good people. And uh, it's just that I went through so much ship man that you know, I just I don't want to remember. I don't want to remember that. I don't Yeah, you know what I'm saying. I just want to look forward. You know, not one thing in the movie, and this is probably one thing in the movie, is they never showed like when you go from no tattoos and then you go from these tattoos.
Was that something that you you missed on purpose? And no, it was just something they missed, you know what I'm saying. I mean the rectors and writers, you know, like I think they should have done that. But you know, there was so many like there was a lot of things that was wasn't there you know what? Something else? I mean, you know it's just right now for me to think of it right now, but I just think that every time I remember something that I'd be like, fuck, we
should have put this on. You know what I'm saying, Like right now, I don't remember, but a lot of things because you got me high as fun with that some some something. Sometimes it's not good, you know what, it feels good. You're making me reminisce. I ain't joking. It's okay, mom. Sometimes you get all right when somebody else's smoking. Imagine if the album no No, we ain't nothing out there, I can't do it. And now we have a relationship just so you know, yeah, that relationship

And you know, right now is a good time to do it, beautiful time to do it. It's the best time to do your culture. And I just like talking to people and I'm anna talker and I don't shut the funk up. It's good. That's a time. And you know, you could get bored in this Corona moment right now, so it's good just
to be productive and keeping I'm doing music. I got a studio with wood and I got my little basketball court in the back. But I want to do more, you know what I'm saying. And I'm ready to work. I just want to work, bro, That's all I want to do. So is that how's your adaptings to not doing shows? Because that's that's that's something that we are.
