I did platinum right because I did got us something a little. It's good. You know what I did two year dollar condo made back for hardo did they myself? I had assens like Rondo flew Yorkers for the nights and with this walker's hugging the

block like it's the punt of stalkers. I actually cooking with the work, sucking up and believing on the club was the menicant he thought I wasn't showed me love that time when niggas choked under pressure. God if I then choke and he folded under pressure, God, if you're the homie you could rely on me. I wanted to let a human being come and lie on me, to never tell me what I did, and retreat and to drink chapters Streaks of mencause we ain't play. I'm still

happy to be here, still relevant. It's everden, something is clowns. It's like the president so I'm gonna stay around positivity. All I got time four in my percinity, Holy Trinity, Kennedy, Joe send me the Tiffany had Epiphany, fo Black, the Tippery traumatically mathematically automatically, Cathy Battley Salary lost Gallery. I remember my four bullets from Jungle. I'm saying night, I got bad from the tunnel. But I don't like to talk about my past life because my new life new

ices two nights now it's interviews. He's in a week since dropped me in Fox ain't speak. I say that wouldn't love like a sister. I say that would love because I missed her and being phone. Still talk about the war before and still getting money just off the war. Before Nicky went to Joe, we laugh and respected that queens get the money. That's first. Never neglected that fat Joe's crossing with jay C. I connected that size respect for the guard, and I accepted that these mass gonna

hit him like a Mickey. Let's rest out to we didn't get top fifty. I'm on the energy Guard. I need an energy. I'm on that energy guard. I need that energy. I'm on that energy guard. I need that energy. We're on that energy guard. We need that energy. I'm on that energy guard. I need that energy. I'm on that energy guard. Need that energy. I'm on that energy guard. I need that energy. We're on energy guard. We need that energy. And his drink Chas motherfucking podcast. He's a

legendary queen's rapper. He's like, that's your boy in o R. He's a Miami hippop pioneer. His DJ e FN together they drinking up with some of the biggest players in the most professional unprofessional podcast and your number one source for drunk back drinks new you'd that his time for drink Champ Drink Up Mother would a good be hopefully is when the supper this is your boy and R. What up is DJ e F and Drake Champa And right now we have a repeat offender of drink Champs.

The brother came here, he gave it us his all. He's back and it's a bit of sweet thing because every time I google his name, every thing is saying that this is his last album that he's now he's saying that this is my last one. Is one of my best ones, but it's my last one. He's a hustler, He's an ambitutionaryist. I don't even know if that's the word we're making that admissionary. He gives you ambitition. He

makes hustlers happy. He makes street niggas happy. When when when the street nigga see him win, they feel like they winning. I feel like I'm winning. This man has stead hair through the test of times, and he's saying he's gonna foul out. In case you didn't know who I'm talking about, we're talking about the incredible the hustler your mom plugged Jameson not Jesus. I gotta go straight to it. When I'm going, I'm going. When I'm googling it, I'm like, um, because I'm I feel like I was

tired too right now. But hear me out, I feel like I was tired from the bullshit, like meaning like I hate in stories like like yeah it does, man, that's just hard. That's just horrible, man. In stories like I hate in stores. So that's what I kind of retired from, like doing in stores. I don't I don't want to really drop albums no more so when you say so, I want to, I wanna wrap my had a round it completely. So when you say we're tired.

That's it musically you're talking about Yeah. Man, for me, you know we're gonna we're gonna just do this finory. Then we're gonna have a whole another conversation. But but I will say this, Um, you know, I just reached required, you know, got all my masses back. You know what I'm saying that that was Yeah, I was I was first and foremost before another father. Right, we had to get the business right, right, you know what I'm saying, because when I jumped on the porch, I was you know, Boston.

I ain't never worked for nobody. You know, I did real ship like cut grass in the neighborhood, the watermelons and ship like that. You know, her uncle put see me in the fucking wheel bearer. But you know what I'm saying. When I got into the game, and it was different because it was like I really took a deal because I didn't want to go to the penitentiary at the time. You know what I'm saying. I just I needed the way out. That was me too, you know, the deal because I was I was on parole, so

I got I signed a contract. My father at the time kept looking at me like, yeah, you're a wrapp up like like my father, like he didn't believe me. But yead, I'm sorry you took a deal because I'm just trying to board the jail at No. That was for me. Like for me, it was like it was not never. You know what I'm saying, I'm trying to get my mom a crib. You know that he was on was getting indicted, and it was surreal. It was like she I had this chance to be old. So

I had a lot of responsibilities. So you know, my business was good, but it could have been great because I ain't really just think my momentum was up. Just imagine if would have been like no, I ain't taking no deal. Still put out a record. My first album was recorded before I even signed the papers. You know what I'm saying. I had motivation in the can. It was done. The one thing I didn't have when there was hold, so going to dev gym, that's not me,

Ahold Lincoln. Was it different once l A Read left? Because yeah, like I mean just the game period, because I know from the beginning, like you landing and l A Read, you know, you picking up l A Read and a Lambeau and I'm telling you to do whatever whatever you're doing, to stop, you know what I'm saying, And like it hit all of us like you know, like for me when I was at Death Jam, le all who's who signed me? And then le All laughed, it's crazy because Leo, I was trying to sign me there,

Nah he was? He was? Was he in Atlantic? He was the death Chair first. Definitely somewhere else because you tried to sign me Atlantic. So that's how you might say, or like, you know, so I'm sitting with Leo so Atlantic um def Jam. It was like four labels on the table and I said, down on Leo and I'm just sitting down and I'm just looking at him like I'm not signing these papers a little. This motherfucker look at me and say, yo, jeezy fucking sound with me.

I feedbody coming at you and smack him like a fucking sluge hym like a like Okayna listening. Definitely right. So but it was like with l A, it was genuine because I just feel like he can't they start in the face. He understood a lot of that ship with Shakira. Man, you know what I'm saying, a lot of k and then and then and then let's have a moment of size, please everybody. That's the piece of

that still. But a lot of that was killed because he was seeing what I was doing in the club, you know what I'm saying, Because I'm gonna be out and ship all these lambows and ferraris and ship and you know, I'm just kicking. And that was my thing. You know, I just had these big gass change with Jeezy on it. You know what I'm saying. They should

wrote me out, baby. I was a big, one big diamond, you feel, because I was just spending all my money on change and it calls, but I was trying to get on and I just go to the strip club and that's how I just get my my buzz on. Its crazy because I just ran into magic early on the beach, you know, kicked when we was just chopping it up for like an hour talking about old days, Magic Beach Stone, Magic City, and that sound really got on. It was like she killed him just coming to magic.

And I was going to magic when I was younger, so I understood how it worked. So when I started to work to music, and it was just like you're going there. You take care of girls, you know what I'm saying. You make sure the DJ straight and you wear all you wear every chaing you got in your jury box, you know what I'm saying. And you're going you up a hundred thousand others every night until they

know your name. And that was my that was my that was my just not ship though, Jesus is that like yeah, you know we just go down like nig Don't do that when you're trying to get up. Okay, okay, okay. When you think about when you think about music, especially back then like trusting, when y'all was doing your ship, like you just thought millions and millions and millions of dollars, you know what I'm saying. So you didn't even understand the work like Niggers just showed up and the money

was there. So I saw we was working towards and legal basis. Yeah, And it was like with me, it was like I'm not going to jail. You know what I'm not doing on twenty years? You know that. It ain't that ain't me, you know what I'm saying, Like I won't even be effective, you know, sitting behind, but I ain't have my mind think. I was like, what players sounds like? No, this is you know, it's the difference.

It's only friendly was aggressive ship. You know what I'm saying, Let me for you jeez, you know what name because let me just tell you something something that now said um recently recently and he was like the god shouts of god. Now he was like, he was like, you know some brothers like you know, uh gotta know when to stop. I don't feel like it's time for you to stop. But as far as music, as far as music, no, no, no, I don't feel like it's I mean for me, don't

like I'm gonna keep it a book. Like I just really wanted to get my about my business. You know what I'm saying, I ain't even be worth for nobody. So to me require getting my masters back and getting my ship set up the way I wanted the first, because I wanted under pressure was first and foremost. You know, we could talk if it's life change, but if not, goddamn it goddamn sometimes like uh like person to change

at this one time, to change, said Man. When he was coming out, he was like, man, I want to bust the rhymes to get out of the way, damn. And he literally said there, he said, I want to bust the boys get the way because he was a tall, skinny men. He was talling, skinny and with dregs and he was told skinny with dress. So I remember him saying that, and honestly, that was the wrong thing to say.

But what I'm saying is sometimes when you make it everywhere, like do you do you continue to keep going or do you go go to other ventures? Like you know what I'm saying, Like, um, like eventually, right, eventually the fans will get they'll get so used to you that they don't appreciate you as as much. You know what I'm saying, Like, yeah, album, this album that you're dropping right now could be better than the first one. But the fact is that they're gonna be like, oh, that's

Jeezy's supposed to make a good album. That's kind of fucked up, Like like you make some much good music that when you make good music, like it's like ah, like you never you ever been to do that? That's crazy, It's crazy. The Q told me a long time ago. He's like man's cut, like he just lost one, Like what you like? Cut? I was, I was doing a record with him and moves in the studio. He's like Yo. He's like, Yo, you gotta understand, like this game is different.

You're gonna you're gonna you're gonna lose fans. You know, you might gain them over again, but you're gonna lose fans. But he just he was telling me, never lose yourself. To me, it's just like, you know what I'm saying, a lot of people don't know that. You know, music is my talent because I understand it, like I understand how to how to connect with people. I've always been

that dude. Like even when I was growing up, all the older cats would tell me they've business like in the murpens thing like no, you can't go do it like that, do this because I just I saw my mind works, so I always process ship and that's that was my my one up. Because a lot of people don't think you know what I'm saying. That's I'm a thinker. So for me, it's just like I knew that I had to do music to do business. You fel I'm saying because music is my talent, but business is my passion.

You know what I'm saying. Because I'm a hustler. I understand it. Like I ran tramp houses and I did all this ship. I didn't get called. Like when I say you ever seen a narco in the booth, I mean that ship like all the mother you know, popular escalt call I'm saying, you know what I'm saying. So for me, there's no different If you start off doing something this, this, this illegal, whatever it is, and you make it through the ranks, it means you know you

you you thought your way through it. So for me, I was just thinking my way through to be able to do business. So it's just like when he told me that, I was already in the mind frame. Now I get it. It's no problem because I'm gonna do other ship too, Like I'm not gonna let nobody box me in. Tell me like I can only just be a great artist. My daughter would never wake up and just tell you that's all. Father was like, I might

as well stop that. Being a great brother, you know what I'm saying, A great son, you know what I'm saying, A great a great cousin. That was it. It's like, now I can do anything. It's my life. So when I even got into music, I was already thinking the things that I want to do when I sat down

with Hole. I went to the Magic Show with hove On one year like no, no Magic show, but I went with him and I was just like, yo, yo, this ship is crazy and and yeah we want this rocketwell booth ship was crazy and it was crazy because when me and him, he's like, yo, let's take a walk, and we're just walking through the Magic Show, everybody was like yo jeezy and they were champion. I'm just like, what the fuck. He's like, yo, we love you man. I was just like okay. He's like, no, we want

to know. It's me a whole walk. He's like, we want to tell you know, thank you for you know, putting money in everybody's pockets and looking out for everybody. And I'm like, how I do that? You know what I'm saying. But what I didn't understand was they were selling the Snowman shirts. So when they when you going to these people boots and they stacked to the moon

and they're buying them in Bolk. You trade my brackets, you trade market at the time, and nah, Gregg Street told me too, But I was like, yo, man, I'm trying to sell records. I'm gonna sell you know. He just like somebody trying to tell you, you know, sell green and you sell something else, Like I don't want about this ship. So for me, you know what I'm saying that, that was my first indication. When I went back and home, I was like, you, I think I

want to do this. And so he put me with the Russians that was running there, was doing rock Away at the time, and I came up with with h U S D eight, which is my line at the time. So that was my first real business venture. And I remember the Rustling called me. He was like, yo, you know, it's crazy. The government shut us down and we're not gonna be able to, uh, you know, do your brand. And all that time, I had already had products pressed up and everything, and I was like, what's the problem.

He said, the government put a cease and assists on us D eight. So I'm sitting in Miami. I'm like at the crib like ship. So he's like, what we're gonna do. Its like, give me twenty minutes, I'll call you back. I called him back. I said, this is what we're gonna do. We're gonna change it. The eight, seven thirty two. He was like, okay, but what does that mean. I said, we're back in the day if you didn't want nobody to know what you was doing, if you paid somebody, you would use it the numbers

and the letters and you swopped them out. So that's how I did that. And that was like my first like successful business venture. And I saw I was making money when I was sleeping. I was like, yo, I like this, you know what I'm saying a lot of people didn't know that I was, you know, making moves because it just looks smooth, you know what I'm saying. And I was really like that was like my first indication like hold up, I can I can really do business outside of you know this. But it went back

to what C was saying. It was just like I'm not gonna let just one thing I did great define me, you know what I'm saying, Like, I'm putting this position so I could do anything, you know what I'm saying. So it's just like whether there's records, you know, clothing, whatever it is. If I'm happy about it and I'm passionate about it, I'm winning promoters too, right. Yeah, And that was another thing you know, I just really I wanted to rock with Q because I wanted to understand,

you know, what it was he was doing. Because if you really look at the group, you know only two successful people was him and Dash Easy but that of course, but if you look at Dre, you know, Dred hit a lick in my eyes. You know what I'm saying, No, that lick. I was Spendque because you got out here and grinding and que stealing a man of the people. You know what I'm saying. You still you see this big three ship? You know what I'm saying, que vision

everything he was doing. But I was picking up game for him, so I really want He called me. He was like, Yo, I had somebody who's gonna do the movie? They backed out? Can you do it? I ain't never acted in my life, you know what I'm saying. Yea scrap. I'm like reading this ship. I'm just like, yo, all right, this is my first time. I was seeing the script of my life, you know what I'm saying. And it was on on site. I was in l A. He said,

can you pull up to the set? I pulled up and I was shooting the movie an hour, right, But I wanted the game though, you know what I'm saying, Like, I just wanted to understand how he worked, so I just kind of, you know, stuck around him and start seeing. But it also taught me a lot of ship too, because it's like que lives a real life, you know what I'm saying. But he's still productive. That's my thing. It's just like you, I don't care if you're selling records,

t shirts, socks, whatever is you. If you're being productive, You're productive, bro, Like like like you know what I'm saying, Like, you know, the craziest thing is I realized like even drug dealers like you know, it's just that he's not you know what I'm saying, Like, it's it's an adrenaline like once you make up. Like me, I used to come outside and try to make enough money for the day, and then most of the time I would go inside

after I made enough money for the day. But a lot of times I would make enough money for the day and act like I did and I would just stay outside because I was addicted to the adrenaline. Hip Hop is the closest thing to being like that with a drening like when you drop an album it's a certain thing that the artists feel like, you know what I'm talking about. You know what I'm saying, Like, what do you because like sometimes I want to think, am

I addicted more to the money? Or I might did it to be a busy you know, It's like it's like Mitch, baby, you love the game, you know what I'm saying. But but you know a couple of casts and showers, Like, it's so many ways to diversify that ship, even yourself. I was talking to somebody about you to day. I was talking to Davies. I was just like really happy for North because he flipped it. You know what

I'm saying. You still you flipped. You're still in the coach and you still you're still shipping Champaine and doing your ship and you still got your hands on it. You know what I'm saying. That just got to come through and see you. But you're on the spanding, That's what's all. But that's what it's about, you know what I'm saying. It's like when you was on the block and one product slowed up, you gotta find something that sell.

You might not even know nothing about it exactly, but you gotta do the research and when you get in, you're getting the group said you're back. I think I think the takeaway from Q and even Nice Tears that you get to a place where you're an artist. You love to make music, but you don't rely on the music when you want to how you want to do it. But see, that's the thing, bro, Like I told him I was corporate thugging at the gate. I ain't never

saying about being a repper me one time. So I was it was great corporate And I told him I was still motivating. That's what I was doing. I'll do that ship from a pulpit, bro, I'll do that in the church of the hood all day without getting a dollar. Cause that's who I am. Like, if you ever know anybody to know me, I don't given what they're doing, I'm gonna sit there and be like, man, you can

do that better. A matter of fact, you tell you anything, I don't give it's a book, if it's a quote, if it's a knowledge, I'm gonna give it to you. I want to see you win. That's how I get my fulfillment. Like, it's not about the money. I could get money when I can't get in another, I get money when I can't, you know, pussy money, I can do it. What I'm saying, that's that's who I am on my hustler. But giving game or or letting people understand what I learned to me is to fulfillment because

money come in and go as paper. You know what I'm saying. If you've ever been in a situation when you stack up half a million dollars and how to somewhere and then the rain suck it up and you go get it in the ship sludge like it's it's funked up. You gotta get back on your feet. You can't look that determined you know where you are at that moment, can't to them and the rest of your life because people have had that ship and go crazy.

So even with fame or having you know, a momentum as being the artist is like if it ain't the same, no more like that. That don't mean you're not as great as you But don't lie you care about the artistry because you got lyrics. But see that's the thing, bro, like I ain't never if you pay attention to my my rhythm I talked when I got something to say, I ain't chasing it like that, you know what I'm saying, Like I gotta keep it like I ain't going in the booth, like I'm about to kill chase it. But

it's been inherent. No, but listen to anything I ever say. I never went the movie, but like, yo, just the hardest ship ever. I'm about to kill this thing over this bird, Like I don't care, bro, just say what I feel because that's what I spill at the moment, and that's then if people like it, they like it. But it's like, I'm not chasing and this is now. Do I want my ship to be? Um? I want my execution to be great because I know I'm good at that. So if I put them together in my

market and playing is me, I want to see it. Yeah. By the way, if I'm a hustling, I'm on the block. If I'm in the stove, I'm gonna whip that ship. Take boys said work and be like, yo, this is me. You know what I'm saying, Gonna make sure the work is good. But if somebody down the block it got it for a cheaper price, you know, it's whoever they

want to shout with. But I'm still working, you know, you know what I could tell like you was just like raised right the Gray Street, Like the way you show love to Master pe Why you showed love the ice cube, the way you showed love to Puff Daddy. It's like like when that was one of the things that stood out when I s the trailer, like I actually heard Pop talking yeah, And it's like it's like so many people don't look up today to the today the people who did did it for them, Like how

did you develop that type of adage? I mean when I grew up like listening to Pete you know what I'm saying and watching what they was doing, Like I was going to the to the tape store every Tuesday because then it was like dropping to three joints. When he said, Pete, I met my master, Master p He was out here, you just dropping. He was dropping the thing. But what I liked about Master Peter Moses I saw

Tom Peoples and hustle. Yeah, you know he knew how to you know, you know, you know, how to package it and make superstars. But that was his niche you have somebody like you know Puff, They did the same thing. And that's another thing to me because I feel like, you know, Puff had his running music. But if you look at this run now you can see that that's really who he was. That was just that was just

a you know, stepping stone. Yeah, you know what I'm saying said you understand it, but um and you see these cats and they do it. But you gotta know where. They went through a lot of ships. Like people went through a lot of ship He went through some times where you know, ship wouldn't all good. He had to figure it out, same as Puff. And for me, I respect that. I respect the longevity. You know what I'm saying.

I don't respect you know, it ain't who the strongest, who was staying this ship the longest, you know what I'm saying, Because it's like you got Catt been in the streets, but they come and they go and it's like they're in the Red game too, you know what I'm saying. They come in there, but it's just like at the end of the day, you know, you could be hot, but you know, I'm moving by legacy, you know what I'm saying. I see him, I got two years. But it's like the streets though, you can be in

the street and see somebody come. That's real town. Up, and so the things get snatched up. It's a whole another nigga come up, you know what I'm saying. So you watch the cycle. By the way, it's crazy to be talking about Magic City. I swear I've seen for a decade, at least two decades of watching different cats running that whole thing like coming there, all the ice, all the cars, all the girls, all the money. He gonna somebody else steps up. I'm saying. It's like evolving

like he gonna he gon for years and years. So I respect the cats to have gevity, you know what I'm saying. They come in and they stick in. And one thing about I really rock with puff. He knows how to get the coaches together to make moves. You know what I'm saying, Like any person, Yeah, it's a different It's crazy. I was in my career and that message this on on the on the trail was a message like he called me one more. It was like fucking eight o'clock, eight o'clock in the morning, you know

what I'm saying. And I ain't picked right, He like that I ain't pick up and he left me that message, you know what I'm saying. So the old school. He still leave. Okay, that was a real message. Looking at this ship and I'm looking out the window when I'm listening to the message, I'm like, yo, listening on some ship. You know what I'm saying. I don't even say that that was a fly message. But I'm not gonna lie. I'd be mad as how people leave me in message.

I like, text me, what is doing just that? I got a tannt listen to this ship? Yeah, but this is me again. I want to share ship with the world. You know what I'm saying, this is this is what my partner just left me. You know what I'm saying on my voice, Man, I want you all to hear this ship. Now. I had this ship for a minute and I was just like, you know what I'm gonna do with it? And I heard that the joint I put it on. I was like, Yo, this just makes

me feel away. So then I was sitting now I was listening to it, and I was like, you know, you know, I'm a fan of the Narcosi and I'm just like, yo, music, No, this is some whole other ship. We couldn't even to find the languages. You know what I'm saying. One of my whole girls are playing it one day and I was like, Yo, what the fund

is that? And I end up just listening to the ship and Kevin and I put this ship together and and you know, I was out in the l A and I was talking to one of the guys who work with me, and I was like, yo, who did the artles trailer? And he told me. I was like, go find him my own to do my ship. And they wouldn't done my ship. But think about that. You think it from the hood, you know what I'm saying.

They really want through the ranks, and then you get in a position where you can make that ship happen. They're talking about this is ship. It's about Pablo Escobars, like you know, Felix Grounds, like all these real and then you get get to be with the people that actually put their ship together and make it real. That's what it's about. Me Like the money's gonna come bro, Like it's like like this, No, that's what That's what goes back to the saying, whether you say you have

bars or not, you care about the art. That's the point YE trying to say, you know, I care, I care about the packaging, the work, and the effort is put into it. I wouldn't even call it art and just like, no, it's all all. That's all I had togo, so I had to I had to come with that. Yeah. Yeah, that's where caring about like like like I like talking,

I'll tell people look at this all. But to me, it's just like the effort that's put into it, because it's almost like I'm not going in to say, um, I got one record and ship jam and I'm gonna put some ten songs around and put the album out like every song gonna actually going in. You know why? You know why I just tell you I'm sorry to cut you off is the reason why it is. You're now the O g right, Like, but I'm gonna tell you some real ship ain't then the really new about gangsters?

What I mean by that? You know what I mean by status? WI like hip hop now you like? You know? So I see these young dudes saying then they new young Jesus, Like do you see that? Yeah? Like that's what I respected for two for two reasons I respected before because they made their own way. A lot of

these cats, um going independent, what you're small? Something I wish I could have did in the beginning, but then it's yeah, but but but then it's the way they came in the game to you know what I'm saying, Like, you know, even for me, when I came to the game, I left the door lock, like I gave niggas my phone, like yeah, but I get to my like this this this is what I get Niggs to my phone me,

Like this is what you're gonna do. Um as far as like you know, uh, putting the mixed tapes out, you know what I'm saying, being consistent with certain producers, and that was the formula. So if you're in the streets and the streets changed and and and it's not the same, like the the the the integrity is not the same, so you gotta find something else to do. Quite naturally, people gonna go with the money's at you know what I'm saying, And the money and the money's

in music, you know what I'm saying. So it's like they're creating this this ship. But it's just like it ain't even it ain't really the art. It's a hustle now, so you get a record that you can go around, you know what I'm saying. You know, half the year and pick up whatever. That's better than standing on the block risking your life and your freedom or you know what I'm saying. So I was like, it's nor hustle.

So that's the part I respect, because just like if you take something, you make it you you make it your hustle. There was you know, somebody else's you know art if you will, because when we was trying to in the game, you know, New York didn't even play on music. You know what I'm saying that they wouldn't they wouldn't want us like that. Yeah, you know what

I'm saying. So it was just like I gotta say, I gotta, I gotta say you was one of them to do you're talking about later He's at that point where it was starting saying this started off first time in my record and New York. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I I always felt like you are a can for to bed the album again. Yeah, always happen always. So it was so ill man because I was doing like trapping that ship and a count brother brought me that record the studio, yeah, and had had the hook on it,

and I wasn't even gonna put that on one on one. Wow. He got leaked. When the alam got leaked, he just was on the songs that was on it. Let's make it bigger hit record. Guys walked through the airport and he was like, Yo, ain't goind of Young Jeezy itself. It's like it's like and it's crazy because that night,

I remember I was recording. I did like three records and Sakia came by the studio and after Boot brought me the record, I did the first verse and who was going all going to the club, was going to visions and you know, we got in the cars we left when the vision party and ship we came back to the studio and played me what you did tonight? So I played him like a couple of records and I got to said I did this one, but I didn't finished it yet because I really don't like it.

And I played so surviving and he just gave me this a little like nigger if you don't finish that ship. So I went in the booth and I finish, And that's how the song got done, you know what I'm saying. So I wasn't even gonna use it like I can keep it a book. I wasn't there because I was like Trump to die, get your mind right, all that type of because that was that's that's what was working

for me. And the whole thing was, you know, you didn't want to be like I just felt like that was going to commercial route, you know what I'm saying. So it was almost like my bad, that's for the next question, but I'm setting it up. It's all about Yeah. But I wasn't even gonna use the recommend. But it's crazy because I never had a fan in Africa in my life until that. Yeah, you know what, but I

didn't I didn't realize how far reach of music. You know, I'm just yeah, but it's like you know when when when you went in last the next month, when you're in Atlanta and you're sitting there and you um making music and you know around the way level you set in the hood and you know in the clubs, you're not looking the rest of the world, you know what I'm saying. So that ship took me across the world.

I didn't even I mean before it happened, it was it was, you know, entertained, like in the video that was what he didn't pay the full theme, right, Yeah, And I came up with that on them on my tool bus man and I was just like your because I love that movie. You know I was in that movie too. I was wondering and even never call like you could have called me. I see like something. It was. It was crazy because I reached out the camera in south side of the camn because I was like your

camera and this ship is silly. And he came through in the south south tom beb bet Ci signal and you know, I'm like hole and coming through the set. Meat came through the set. I heard that. It was crazy. It was like I never seen nothing like that, Like it was Brooklyn Hall. Now you had you had the city. Yeah, it was crazy, you had the city. He was one of the first South people that people fully related to. People were understood, especially the hustle us. You know what

I'm saying. I just heard you say meat, And that was another thing that stood out to me in the trailer was um was you. It was like, you know, for years, it kind of seemed like you was like being the hustler like what I mean by that, and being the street guy like you. Everyone knew you was from BMF, but it's kind of like you stood like away because I don't know, but this is like the first time I kind of like seeing you like full flags claiming, like in front your fans in front. Well,

I wouldn't even say claiming. It just like a lot of people don't know like me and me and dude was like real friends, you know what I'm saying, Like zimple, who's real friends like me and whole you know what

I'm saying, Like that's just who we were. But you know, you know, keeping in a book, you know just what it is is just like a lot of things went on that people don't understand, and a lot of that ship had to do a lot of my legacy, you know what I'm saying, as far as who I am as a person, even with my music, is like something

you can't walk away from. And we said the legend of the Snowman, I feel like it has almost been disrespectful, you know what I'm saying, not to to to at least insert that in there, because if you look at the trailer, that's all the ship that I really went through to become who I am today, And it's just like how do you disregard that? Yeah, that's a part of the journey. Like I can't, and I saw what it did for hip hop because it was just like,

this is my man. You know what I'm saying. I'm making music and you know he's a fan of what I'm like. He loved my ship, you know what I'm saying. Everybody know that, and you know right when I got on, he got in his ship. So it's just like now more and I'm in a safe place, the statue of Limit Takes is going, It's like, no, that's my dude. But it's just like a lot of people don't know um, like fans, you know, you have to stick to the G code. That ain't ship you just talk about like freely.

You know what I'm saying, Like it ain't. It ain't nobody's business. But but it was part of my my legacy, you know what I'm saying, as far as who I am, and I never be to get away from there. So I feel like my last album, you know what I'm saying, I just wanted to bring all things full circle, like and it's like people will see that ship, but not the fucking two bed room trailer I lived in with

my whole Emily and the joint. You know what I'm saying that I bought from my mother for thirty five hundreds. That's the real trash wid when he stayed. But you know, I wanted to put different pieces of what made me me, you know what I'm saying complete? Yeah, Yeah, that was that was dope. You do ever think, uh, well, hold on, you know what. This is the first time I actually felt Trump's tweets I ain't gonna lie. A part of me was a good yeah, like why like why not?

Like if you was, if you wasn't locked up, you know, of course, but come on, the way he was flipping it was crazy. I ain't fun. He's a little gamester with it. It's a little but to me, um, that's that's that's a tricking one because you don't really know if he's doing it just to get get a connect because he didn't say African America. Yeah, he can't do

another fro what's going on domestically? Right? It's not deep, It's just I'm just saying, like, like, if you do what I'm saying, you know, if you ain't sad rocky, of course you want this. This is the most powerful man in the free world. He suppled have been owned air Force one and he's flew homeboy back on that motherfucker now. But it shows you that the most powerful supposed that Anna, I'm not. I'm not he supposed I'm nigga, Like, yeah, somebody say something to me and I might head one,

you know. But what I'm trying saying answer that I wanted to come get supposed the most powerful person in the world, in the free world. He calls the government of this country and they don't do ship. It shows you that are most powerful person in the free world. I don't want to tell you just said said again. He called. He called Sweden and hold me ain't pick up his home. He's tweeting. By the way, though, that's why he tweeted. I didn't know that it could. It

could have a lot to do with relationships. Of course, what I'm saying like real ones. You know what I'm saying. So if he's probably type of person that rub people, they're not gonna sun with you. It seems like that ran want to plug a couple of times, a couple of times trumping like that. If he really want to do something for the culture, just saying you brought the kid back, it works out it's been cool. You know what I'm they haven't been gaston, you know what, because

even was like a little left. But when I heard him say like he's gonna get Larry Whover, I'm like, man, that's that's that's hard. You know, Chicago would have loved him talking about what you said that that's what Kanye when he met with Trump, that's what he said He's gonna get. I didn't say that. I didn't know that. Yeah he said that. You just to say that was

he was his only goal. But for him to even be thinking like that, you know what I'm saying, that's that's a real you know, that's that's that's a that's a legend in the right. But you know he can be one of the guys that come back and kind of help out a lot of this ship that's going on in Chicago because he's very If you didn't put it on with the city with Kanye right now, if you go on the studio with him right now, he got a maca hat on. Yeah, we're gonna burn that.

Mother got I got that. Yeah, Yeah, I ain't gonna I want I want Kanye to be fully clear. I fully support you and your yeezz even by the ones I think that's ugly um because some of them that's like, yo, come on. But you know what I like, I'm forty one, you know what I'm saying, I'll be forty two this. Yeah, so I want to keep up. So I find a ship. I'm like, yeah, yeah, body to keep up. I just I gotta keep up. Sometimes son's nineteen, he's over here.

I'm still wearing it for his war. Yeah, I listen. I still do that too, But sometimes I don't want to look him. You know what I'm saying. When I walked down, I don't need to be like, oh that nigga. Look you listen listening, So guys, guys listen. Sometimes I'm not listen. I'm looking listen. I admit that. Listen. I don't got no grades sometimes, you know, I'm sorry I got you know, my Bobby even hate on me. That clep my head looking for grades. I'm like, what type

of thing is you? But like, so you know, sometimes you know sometimes the older you are sometimes and it's good. It's actually good to be out of the loop sometimes. You know what I'm saying, how do you feel like? You know what I mean? Like like, um, like, I don't want to have a city boy summer. What is what is that happening right now? A hot girl something like that? What is it? I don't want to be the city boy, my nigga. I'm sorry, my nigga. Get listen. No,

I ain't lot. I'm saying, like, you know what's going on around I have no idea right now in the ratchet part of every city, yeah, they're having a hot girl summer or city boys something. So the city boys is doing some ship and they're having points. This is real ship. They're having points. It's a game. It's like a game, but it's like real life. They're doing. It's that coaches ship we tell you about. You put the game older and like, I've seen something, but I see

that day. I know this is crazy to get up. I want to know what is because I've seen these poor girls. They came and they said, all I need some hinting. Isn't playing b all? I need this hinting? Is the playing b all? I need this hitting and the player be and let's say this is actually hard. I would, but what is that in the game. It's terrible? What they the game? You know what they're saying, is they want to drink some hending. I get what they're saying. Okay,

you're saying, it's a whole movement on something. It's a real movement. Have been looking at this Instagram. Look at the instagram? This these wild girls. It was pick and tell you having to have a city boys, something to watch and watch now he said I killed you that and it's like he's like, you're living in a funck up error right now. Like it's like it's a whole bunch of girls. That's their plan is to just go out there fuck and have a great. Yeah, they switching

on the story. That's gonna say that women like the new niggas right now? Do you hear what says she wanted Henny and the plan be like she wants you to shoot at the club. Is he gonna get rid of me? Elselse? She's crazy? My dudes, Yeah, she's crazy. Yeah, we're living in a wild time, like for real, my dudes. So so okay, we got your kardash, we got that, got that. Yeah, I got notes, niggers, I got notes, nigga. Well,

let me play this for you. Let me play is for you, because I just wanted feel what you feel when you hear this. We're gonna play a good version. I'm TV Money who m hm Ony Money is joking? Oh god, oh oh it's the real young Jaz right, No, right,

were going with this? What you here when you're hearing that? Though, I didn't think that was trying to get at the hood and Price still had fucking you know, all types of ships like you came into the game but if But a lot of people don't understand I was really one foot in, one ft out in a studio and I basically made passwork studio on my traps. When I was working right now, I was still going to the fish, throwing duffer bags over you know what I'm saying or everything.

So it's just like a lot of people that know, like it wasn't that now it was in real time. You walk into vocal boof is two or three million dollars sitting there. We're going through money, you know what I'm saying. So it's just it's just a different mindset. And you're talking about somebody with having nightmares, you know about the pay attention. He has to know what I'm saying, Yeah, because you just you know, you in it, and you

don't know if you're gonna make it. So that guy right there, he was one foot and one foot out, and that that's the guy that would that would tell you he wasn't a rapper. He was just trying to figure shot out, you know what I'm saying. But as you get don't you start making us soul survivors and he started having the hits. You know, things change because they go from that guy that was doing shows in clubs with you know, four or five hundred people, So

survival guy was doing fucking uh, no, fucking uh. What's the ship they do for some of jam oh Giant stated, yeah, sixty people. So that was that was a difference happening. And that was so fast, you know what I'm saying. So right, so like that's what changed. But it's just like now you got a different clientele. So now instead of being in the streets where you're dealing with street niggas and you're just getting all that ship, now you're getting shipped from fans and they want music, and they

want good music. So now you gotta work on, you know, giving them good music. So now you gotta right to go get us in these different songs because now they gotta take stuff and this is what they want for Yeah, yeah, everybody. But what the difference is to me? You know, I'm I'm that's in my heart, Like that's why I like right now to day and ship popped off here right now, I'm gonna be that guy, you know what I'm saying. That's that's that's who I am to the core. Now,

who I who evolved to be. That's what keeps me grounded, you know what I'm saying. That's why I can go in the hood or go you know, in the boardroom and still be who I am. And he had a confidence I got because I know where I came from. But at the same time, though, I was going because that guy didn't want to stay where he was at. He was trying to get out of there, you know what I'm saying, because he's just all he kept seeing was his home boys getting killed. And you know what

I'm saying, people getting doing the jail. But it wasn't like and they're going to jail for a city boy or something. You know what I'm saying, See the boy decade, that's it was real. So for me, I was just really trying to get out, and a lot of that music I was doing, I was I was working, I was getting money, I was in the streets. I was still fucking then, you know with game members, and you know that was my y out of me, Like fifty people living in my house. You know what I'm saying.

But they can't I got you know, I got kidding now they can't be in the crib, you know, working like that. You know what I'm saying. But at the same time, they called me all the time and you're good, he's straight. Let me know somebody got hit in the hood or whatever. They know who I am to the court because we've been a real ship and I've always been on the front line, you know what I'm saying.

Like I've always been with whatever our movement was at the time, being on that like from the beginning, it was like you know for the gang culture. Um, it was like the first time we actually got to see like Atlanta claiming cribs. You know what happened. I'm gonna tell you what happened. So I came up. When when I got out, Um, when I got out. The last time I got out, one of my partners was one of my good friends. You know, he took me to

the to the MAC. But I wanted to get money, you know what I'm saying, making and making, yeah, but I wanted to get money. And when I first got there and got on the block, I was looking around and it was game culture, you know what I'm saying. But it was just like, you know, if you're gonna be over, you gotta be with That wasn't happen. It wasn't happening at all. Anybody say that at all. It was not happening. It was yeah, because they because the

cats from l A was there. So when you get there, you got motherfucker's praise, Jerry Currs, Dicky SUPs, Chuck Taylor's Yeah, but no, it was game banging. But I'm saying that they moved to work. The game was game banging. So for me, you know, I'm a natural born leader. So I was like, ship, I get that part. I'm with you. Whatever we gotta do. You know what I'm saying, We're gonna do it, but let's get some money. And you're like, what do you mean. I was like, give me two days,

I'll be back. I left. When I came back in the hood never seen nothing like that ever, you know what I'm saying, Like, I showed them how to get money. But at the same time, I understood the culture as far as the game ship. But this is my family. Now, these are people to make it on straight a day to Kim, I'm standing on Nigga's AUNTI sofa whatever. So as all this is going on, you know what I'm saying, and I'm back and forth because my family in Atlanta,

you know what I'm saying. So as I figured my shot out, you know, I'm them there in cous with the whole city. You know what I'm saying. So I had homeboys. There was red rags that wouldn't even come on that side of the town. But I worked that ship out because I'm like, yo, we gotta get money. Like if you go to Harvard and I go to fucking Staffard on me, we can't get money. We gott figure that caught out. So I figured that part with

that ship. You know, they really trusted me. So when I went back to Atlanta to get back on the music ship, I brought three tour busses people from my neighborhood to Atlanta and bought three houses right beside each other and put them at the house. And that's how we was moving. So when the mana first started seeing like cripts and ship, it was with me, know what

I'm saying. The first time I heard it. Yeah, it was by the way other people got all even other artists was like, Okay, we're gonna wear this because that's size people rock. So they didn't really even know. They were just win red rags because you know what I'm saying, no disrespect, you know, to the to the to the Red Ray. But they was wearing red red because they

saw them wearing blue. You know what I'm saying. They they saw it on TV right, and it was crazy because it was never none that ship up there, and and I used to go out and my homeboys, like my crew, they never like they're not like casted was in the fashion. So they were really still wearing Dickies Taylor's on the road everywhere we went. Anybody didn't know when I was coming through any city, oh five oh six or seven, No, they when the first two two

buses pulled up, that's what it was. My whole neighborhood cause I took anybody with me and everybody was living in my house, I would come downstairs, motherfucking guns going off and ship. You know what I'm saying, Like they're shootings in the assholes old mistake because they were saying out with you know what I mean, it was real not to be BMP. Did you have to be crypt to or no? And that's a lot of things that people don't understand, Like what dude like, he just brought

people together family. But but one thing I respect about him, and I always respect he bought some of the illness. Like when I when I when I watched Nora Cole's and I see the Felix uh guy who put everything together. Never mind me and my guy, because you're talking the most dangerous people in Mexico sent him at the table and say this is what we're gonna do. Now. I'm not saying that's what he did technically, but what I saw around him was loved people from New York, people

from near people's neck. But christ g D's vice Lord and were together, you know what I'm saying. So he was able to bring the love and make you know, people love each other. And that's what I respected. You know what I'm saying. When you hear Um, it's fifty cent. That's actually um executive producing or producing the BM, Like, like, what was the first thing that possible in your mind? I'm in ship, you know, as long as my dude eating and he getting his shirt off, I'm I'm with

whatever he about. But you don't feel like you should be a consultant. No, that was the exact opposite, gonna be like if he wanted me to be a part of what you're saying, Like yeah, but like me, like, you know, a lot came with that, bro. You know what I'm saying. I love my nigga man, and that's gonna be forever. You know what I'm saying. But a lot came with that, and everybody ain't gonna be happy. You know what I'm saying. I know people, I don't

want to be responsible for that. You know what I'm I don't want to be you know what I mean. I know it's you know what I'm saying. I don't want to know nothing to be like funny on me. But they're doing business like you don't do business with your friends. You know what I'm saying, Listen to my guys support him. If he asked me to pop up

do whatever. But it's just like I went through a lot with that, you know what I'm saying, and he did too, and even to the point where people thought we was at odds, and it was just like, no, I think he just incarcerrated. You know what I'm saying. You know what I'm saying. But at the same time I go see him, we talked, but like anybody else, this this this this incarcerrated. Like you just never know what's going through somebody's head and you never know who

they're talking to. So it's like I never thoughted him for anything. I love him. That's my brothers gonna be always be my brother. And we've had talks with his mama. Had to get on the phone, black, you do get on the phone to talk and his love. That's my brother. I had Thanksgiving with these, you know, with his mother and his stepdad before people even knew what was really going on with him in the streets, were already family,

you know what I'm saying. So when we got when he got, when he went through his ship, you know, I had to respect that because at the end of the day, for me, I know he's a good dude, But then I also know the game, how the game go, and anybody to know that game, know that you know those things, those type of things happen. I think when me, a lot of people looked at much Ship was being successful as if you know, I did something wrong, But that was never the case. You know what, that's how

everybody I just said. You know, like, um, a lot of times when you become successful, it's like it's like a seven different demon, like like a seven different things and you can't control or stuff. Like the thing about it is like you could get five you maybe if you're lucky to get six, but it's always gonna be one person or one thing or one situation that you're

not gonna be able to satisfy. And you're always gonna look like the bad guy when you become famous, because it's easier to blame you not to say in this situation you're just saying, but in so many different scenarios when a person don't make it or a person don't do whatever, it's like, yo, my man ain't put me on like you know what I'm saying front door, Like

I'm not not in your situation. No, no, it was fucking with me mentally, but yeah, I didn't really have a clear head into the recession because I was still dealing with Ship and tealing with like the album recessor. I didn't have a clear head to realize I was

an artist. And then I was in a position that I can do what I do into the recession because all the whole time I was I was going through Subaba's remorse, you know what I'm saying, because it just like I was seeing niggers and oh man, you I'm like, damn man, like the same person say you love me?

You know what I'm saying. It was like weird, but not in a bad ways because I was trying to, you know, quote unquote keep a solid And then I had to realize, like I gotta keep a solid with myself because I got people that's really following and loving what I'm doing. So I gotta make sure that I'm on my ship and I'm progressing because these people really love me for who I am, you know what I'm saying.

So I had to kind of just come to grips with and my homie told me that, Like, um my homie told me that before he went to the PIN. He's like, yo, He's like, you're small. You got that dog. I can just see how you move, how you think. He says, gonna come to It's gonna come a time of your life where, um, it's gonna come a time in your life where people are gonna say you change. But this is really who you are and this is what you're working towards. You know what I'm saying. So

it's like that's my path. You know what I'm saying, this is your vision. So people might not understand where you're going. But it's just like if I would have listened to niggas when I was in the hood and stayed in the hood, I still be in here. I wasn't need to being some talking to you now. One of my uncle's man, I tried to sell him one of my mixed CDs back in the day. I was just like yo, by one of my CDs on tending. He's like, nigga giving some of that weed or you

gotta take. Do you know I feel when I go back to my family events and I'm pull up in the fucking you know what, a fucking a fucking fantom and I got a driver and I see that same nigging like what's up? Because he didn't believe you know what I'm saying, and driving it steal his fears on me and I kept going. But look at it now, it's just like with anybody else. They're gonna tell you. You know what I'm saying, like you ain't keeping a solid, you ain't doing the right. But then who's to say

they're keeping this out of there? Like when I had to learned about this game, it's different levels of realm g Like people see him, take you, I'm keep real, keep you sad. They they don't even go home, keep red with their family. You know what I'm saying. They ain't going home and keep it real with their brother Mamma,

you know what I'm saying. But they keep red with the nigga in the club because they say here shooting and he's thinking, knock somebody here on and then he could tell her everybody now to everybody now, But who keep it real? You know what I'm saying. So when I started learning, and by the way, I've been on the front line, I did ship for niggas. Like on site, I swear to God, I'll left my car anybody right take you. I used to leave my ship in Valet. I used to be, and so I mean, I don't

get off right there on site. You know what I'm saying, I don't did it for niggas. And then six months later Nigga turned on me, and I'm like, what the funk am I risking my freedom? You know what I'm saying? Everything I worked for the proof point, oh yeah I got And now I ain't even being extra IM just saying that's that's how I had to learn. So when I learned that, I was just like, YO, can't go

away everybody our borders word by myself. I gotta be responsible for all my actions and I can't do things for people that I know they won't do for me. You know what I'm saying, including like, you know, look at myself as if I'm wrong for pursuing what it is that I started out to pursue. Just think about all the people where you from that you used to hang out with and you was cool with and everybody

loved nor when you was what what what what? And then as soon as you said, you know, I'm gonna go do this, I got kids, I got your family, you know what I'm I got a wife, like I want to hang out what I'm saying, yeah, want to be all that because because I've seen you come through that. You know what I'm saying, I'll see where you're at, and i see what your mental was at, and I'm gonna applaud that because that's where you want to go.

You know. I used to be far apartment. I used to feel guilty for not being able to take it out of tend people. Um, I tend people. And then I started to realize that I took the eight, and I started to realize I took six. Then I started out to be four. Then I started to realize I'm only taking to people that want to be here because the person. You know, the grazy ship I ever experienced was bringing a person overseas and bringing a person to all this experience and a person not being thankful, just

being like, you know what you're supposed to bring. They feel entitled, Like I was, like, I had a nigg to tell me one time. I was like, yo, man, I want to you know, like, what do you want to do? You want to go to school? I'm doing it, like I said, no, I'm here for moral support. I was like, what the fun is that? You know what

I'm saying, keep it real. I want I want that y'all through some ship dogs, like even on this song when I don't call fake love, bro like, I don't been to some ship where I don't took kids everybody Soon she hit the family, I don't stand there by myself. I couldn't believe it. Me as small as I am. I'm like you, I know that the thing they could trick me, you know what I'm saying, but in a real way. But that made me a man broke. They're

like I learned, you can do whatever you want for people. Dog, if it go down, you're gonna be stuck holding the bag. You know what I'm saying. This ship is real, like you got you gotta responsibility to keep And I was stuck holding the bag because I was trying to take care of people. But what I learned was, you know, I didn't put I tried to put people in position by pacifying them, you know what I'm saying, But when I should have been trying to you know, I try

to teach them a trade. I try to put them in a position to win. But that ain't what they wanted. And that's the whole thing about taking that walk it's where you headed, you know what I'm saying, and where you want to go. Some people just want to go over right now, let's walk the overtown. You're like, hell, no, you don't want to go what I'm saying. But if you want to be like yea, I'm gonna walking with you, we' chopping up on the way. Maybe we come over with something.

You know that that's it, you know what I'm saying. But when she gets real, nobody want to do that. You know what I'm saying, Like, you know, if it's ten miles, fifteen miles or real, one who see your visually gonna be like, shot, I'll walk with you. Do you know what I'm saying. Maybe we see something on the way we figured out. But if somebody who don't see your visits gonna walk with your fall enough to say, you know what, that's too far, let me turn around,

let me go back. But then you, as a man, you gotta keep going. So I had to learn that the hard way, you know what I was. I learned that keep going, keep going, I keep going, keep So let's talk about it's boys and ever gonna happen again? Nah, Now get out here, go to bathroom. Nah, I only signed for one album when I did it, and I really did it for I really did it for the for the for the group because at the time, like I'll never forget. Puff called me and I was going

to Magic City and he called me. He was like, he was like, yo, go sign the contract. I'm like, you don't go to majest City. He signed no country. So he wanted me to sign the contract and send it and send it back through Kinko. How did the group start? Was it? It was? I'm telling you that's how it started to puff Puff called me, so I said, your contract, I want you to be in the group. Only did one song them boys, but at the time, you know my Mixsape Boys was was going. He wanted

me in the group. So he's like, yo, go to k sign the paper, send it back to king. I'm like, yo're going to the majest city. Up the paper. I'm not going to do that. And that's how I started. Then he came down. We talked some more and he's like, I was like, Yo, Puff, I rock with you, man, I'll do one album. I wrote the number down, I gave the number. I said, I do one album. He said cool. Then I had to go back and talk to l. A. Reid because at the time I had

just signed the Depth Jam. You know, that must have been crazy to clear all that. Yeah, he did it because you know, at the time it was really cool, you know what I'm saying. And yeah, yeah, and you know l A. Read was cool with me doing a one one record deal with them. And then I pushed the Motivation Motivation back a month to do this project, to put it out before the Motivation and I did that. But I really did that for them, man, because it

was like g Jody um Duke. Like working with them brushed my game up too, because you gotta keep in mind like that, I wasn't a rapper the first time I did a song with them, niggas trick that it was in the studio Jazzy fade a bunch of people and I was doing the bulls to them. Boys. Now I'm in there, I'm gonna treet dude, I got Ferrari outside, you know what. I'm in here with you all these these rappers and they're going in kno, gonna be verse

out ten fifteen minutes. And it took me like two hours just to put my patterns together and I'm like ship, so tricking all them and they're like, yo, go do you ship? You know what I'm to do this song? So it takes me a while, especially back then, because I really didn't know how to record like easy on, so I had to figure it out. And but you

was writing, yeah, different from easy everybody right. But I did the verse and when I started doing the verse, like, I remember Trick laughing like yo, this you're telling my sons. And then I remember jazzing them leaving the room and everybody left and I was and I was in the and I was in the control room the engineer by myself, and then I said, I think I got it now, So I went back in there and I did it.

And what I would do was like when I did my verses after be in my ad lives, I would walk out in the hallway and him and turned it all the way up so I can feel it, you know what I'm saying. And I remember it took like two hours. I walked outside in the hallway and he turned the ship up, and I just remember, if it's taking too long to lock up, bring it back, you see.

Motherfucker's like you know what I'm saying. You seeing trick Coma, like, you know, all of sitting there, everybody in the hallway, and they're just going crazy like yo, nigger, that ship's crazy and I'm just looking like like damn. You know what I'm saying. But at first it was like act like you know, like the boys ships up, but they didn't understand how you know, I put my records together your process, right, But but I was in a rapper That's what you got Like, I didn't know. I'm not

gonna lie. I don't. I don't believe you in that part because you are a rapper, yeah, and you are lyricists also. But what I'm saying is was I was somebody trying to get out of the street. I understand, but it don't matter why you got there. But you are ye. You know, like people respect you, like, come on, man, you know I could be elon Musks right now. But but I'm just saying, I'm like, man like, if I want to do something, I'm to do it. That's how That's how I live my life, bro. Like I love

the challenge. You know what I'm saying, A little being put it, you know, my back against water. That's just gonna end. So when I had to show up and show out, that's what it was. But I had learned sitting around the studio paying certain people for like beasts and not using them just to watch what the lingo was bringing back. I take that take you know what I'm saying that to put the little there like I didn't know that ship. He wasn't a studio rapper, but

not to say that he wasn't as I was. I was great at right and I was great at spit, but when they came to like actually laying it down that you couldn't. You don't have to be a technical in the studios. Now the question I always wanted to I asked, you ship, I'm on with it. But buster Buster had a car, But I Buster Rhymes Acrosse had a car. I'm conglomerated, was not like the number one was tearing New York City up. I don't know by the rest of the car fair at the time because

I was just stationed in New York. It was him, Jada kiss and you. Right then the actual video drops and it's him Jada kiss and a little Wayne. What happened there? I didn't like, I think it was diverse man, you don't like yell verse. It was something really with diverse. I don't remember it. Something that's part of one of them time And I gotta read because bus ain't been number the South and think and I've seen him. I was just like your bussy because of that. Yeah, but

I'm gonna be real man. At one time, I was in my head a lot. You know what I'm saying, Like, I just you know, you know, not thinking as an artists. I'm just like personal about ship. And I think that was one of the times I was in my head because it happened to me a couple of times, like recipes showed the low like and you reach out of me to do that record, I was in my head. I was like, well, I can't do it because I got just coming out. I'm just like when I said,

have just did it? You know what I'm saying, So I gotta get real. That's one of the time I was in my head. You know what that's good to fucking you know, you know you know why most people like sometimes it's just good different like you know what I funked up? You know, because so many people were

like royal rolling, like sometimes. I'm sure you buster will appreciate that because as artists, we appreciate when the artists reached out to another artist because I expect you, because I don't want to have an artist on my record that I don't respect. So most people we automatically think that if you do the thing, you automatically do the video. I mean, you do the record, you automatically do the video.

So it's good like to hear our person like like you humble yourself and be like, you know what I might have just was in my head. That's so dope to me. Like when you when you when you're in it and you first started off, you kind of just react as you come into your own and you see things and patterns and ship and you start learning how

the game work. Because I would have never thought that ship I did ten years ago would be affected me as much as it did now, you know what I'm saying, Like, it's like even worse be shipped like that because you see somebody like yo, and it's you. They just remember the last thing you did to him. You saw me in the club and you did print me, you know

what I mean. But I've learned to be more you know, be more, um, you know, conscious about what I say or what I do to people that you know that that I funk with or people that you know funk with me. You know what I'm saying, because you know it's been time when people asked me to do things, and depending on what I had going on, I might have not done it because I was thinking about my next move. But then start being around people like Puff and that's why I sunk with him. He's like, no, man,

you gotta help everybody. Yeah, you know what I'm saying. It can't be you know what I'm saying, Like, somebody help me right now, I'm gonna do it. And I was just like, okay, explain to me how that works. And once I started learning about how karma works and let me just just the words, right, you know what, I'm sorry to cut you up. But when I started to realize this is me, it's karma works both ways.

It works both ways. So if you do like if the times I just do something for nigga and I'll just be like, I know this name can't pay me back, but that's not what I'm doing it for. I'm doing it for me because I know that this is gonna come back to me in a way. I have no idea, but like I'm letting nigga's money and I know it ain't coming back. You don't you I'm just away, like trust me, trust me, trust me. Listen. The thing is, yeah, I'll be around the nigga do anything but bring up money, bro.

Things bring up, and you know what, I just gotta take it. I knew what this want so sometimes but you know what that is. That's good comming though, because even if that person doesn't appreciate it, it comes back, you know what I'm saying that. So I starting to know that comments to think about it. You know, your life has broke up in three steps, like you you um, you get out there on the front line, you learn,

then you have to survive, and then you live. And a lot of that old four I was learned survived live, Yeah, because I was. I was like surve That's how it was. It was like at the time a lot of this ship that went on with me to affected me. Now I was I was surviving. I mean like I would do whatever I had to do. So if that means you know, like you know, when you come out of the street, brothers like, ship is either you or me, and it ain't gonna be me. It's gonna be you,

you know what I'm saying. So it was like you you survive, and so I didn't really eyes. You know, I'm just trying to get out of the streets and you know, take care of my family and put myself in the build a position. So a lot of my street ethics came with me. So in the streets is you know, ship is cutthroat, you know what I'm saying, So you have to be on the defense. So it ain't nothing like you ever seen heat when he's I

can walk away for something thirty seconds. It's my mind state, you know, it's like whatever, you know what I'm saying. So that was my mind state, and a lot of things were going on because I was really trying to figure it out and I ain't hand nobody to be like, yo, this is what it is because I'm looking at it from the way I see it. So it wasn't no big homies and y'all started working with niggers like Hold

and different people like that. Well I'm saying all that to say it's yeah, but what I'm saying all that say, is like between that time, a lot of things transpired where I was in my head, you know what I'm saying. Like I was really going through real ship, you know what I'm saying, And it was just like my decisions, you know, were people that I came in contact with. They remember that, so they don't know who I've grown

to be and what I've learned. They just know when the last time they saw and that's why they'd be like you, we want you to be the old No, you don't want me to be that guy. Niggas want Kanye to be the old Kanye. I mean it's different. Yeah, now that he mentioned Hove, we're streaming on Title now. Okay, y'all can check us at title dot com. I like that. Okay, goddamn it, God damn not just title shout off to a massive and odio. Not just not shout to Puffy. We dont TV. I mean no, no, not Sam you

on YouTube that all these entrepreneurs. You don't mede me go slap my thing in right now, just figures come open it up for me. I don't know what this is. I don't know what the cell phone baby, Okay, what officting the PCE for the post Affordable price. Goddamnit, this okay, okay, on the table, don't play all right, yeah, put it over here. I got there. I don't know what the

man said. Let's why listen. So what is this a phone? Figures? Why? Okay, that's what I'm meant to you right now, okay, okay, yeah, good looking? Good looking? What okay? Open up? You say don't? Oh God say no? So they just the trap name take out to take out the wrist of stuff. Lit's the trap phone. This is this, this is this is on the executive phone. Okays, the backwards I go, that's crazy. Word. Oh I'm gonna take the buds, don't. Yeah, we're taking

out what's that? Okay? That is exam. That's a speaker. Okay, you can charge your phone on him and take this out. That's what come like a roll that should come like hey, God, show to the camera shows like you kill, you kill. That's got a full screen on the on the box. Yeo, just the phone, okay, Nina, I'm going with the jeezy phone. That's all figures. This figures figures figures while and it's the same home like like I think it comes. I

got screen TV for your credit. I get to sim card on the Okay, everything we got, we're gonna do. You know what we're gonna do. We're gonna make that drink chance. You know, you know I ain't let him touch that. Okay, Okay, that's okay, Okay, you wanna make this drink chance for we We're gonna make the caller is cold. Yeah, well thank you? Do you have you have no idea? Like how how happy I am for us? You know? The thing is this right? You know drink Champs.

We started you use up with us when we started out. Um, you know sometimes we get notes. You know what that notes come through? You know what I mean? You know what I mean Like this is this is a lot of action, but delivery someone. Yeah, you know what you gotta shout to shine papers open this whole time. I can't breathe this, but like just trying to you know what I feel like. I feel like I feel like

hip hop. We spent so much years and this is with no disrespect to these brands, but you know, blowing up Ralph Laurina, blowing up all these other brands. Let me not even go into him. But the thing is why don't we own everything? Well that's what you know. It's crazy like I see it now. But um, you know a lot of cats on their own ship and you see, um, you know these black designers they're coming up and even with figures. When he's he's an inventor,

he's a brother, younger brother. You know what I'm saying, How did you develop this? Um? No, he you know? We just yeah, I just like you know, just it's intellect and he's a genius. You know what I'm saying. More things to come. Um, But that's the support we gotta give each other. That's you know what I'm saying, because that's what it's about. And I think a lot of times as we get caught up in you know,

what we could buy to make us feel richer. But if what I've learned that my whole duration of my life was I was already rich. I was richer than I am now back then because my integrity was more solid. It wasn't you know what I'm saying. Yeah, I'm smoking that wasn't you look a little suspect? We look it's

not I'm just like you know that CBD flower. But what I'm saying, I'm saying all that the same I'm saying all that to say, it's like we bought a lot of ship because of what it represents, you know what I'm saying, and we get caught up in you know, supporting that. I'm gonna get yourself. I know you do not. I don't since that happened, Yeah, I mean I didn't.

I really wasn't into it anyway. But when that happened is like, you know, there's certain things you just gotta stand on, you know what I'm saying, Like it was, Tip, call you directly or like no, I just uh, you know till I feel like Yeah, I walked by the store the other day and I heard tipping my hand and I said, keep walking. Tip is working for you. I can see it. Come over right on something. What we're doing, Tip, Tip, That's that's my brother man. Like

it's crazy. I remember, like Tip came in the studio one time. I was in Pats work when I was telling you that, I was, uh, you know, one and one foot out and I was working on trapa die and he came to Patchwork was just like a famous studio in Atlanta, and he came in. He walked in, he told me donna come through. So he came through. He looked around. You know, I got the lounge going and come home. Is in the account money, I got money in the vocal booth, you know everything. He came

stood around and do his whole little thing. You know what I'm saying, he probably have. I probably had about two million in the studio. Tip, go let me talk to you for a minute. So you wanted me in the bad through, I'm like, fun, you know what I'm saying. He's like, Yo, you know you can't do both right. You know what I'm saying. You gotta make a choice. It's like you're not gonna You're not gonna get away with both of these. Like something, something's gonna falling. Yeah,

He's like, your talented, you gotta tell it. You know what I'm saying, Like you can pull this off. And in my mind, you know what I'm saying, I made a decision right there and there and everybody that owed me when I was in the streets, I just threw my phone away. I ain't even called nobody for my money. I made a decision right I went to Cold Turkey. You know what I'm saying. The crazy thing I ever did in my life, because yeah, but I knew he was right because I wasn't gonna walk away like that,

you know what I'm saying. But him telling me that, and I was already thinking that just really made me go, like, You're gonna have to make a decision now or deal with the consequence of later. And I made a decision, and I walked away, and I threw my phone away and everything I had. I gave my people their money that I owed him, and I was done and I walked away. That was there, like it was the best words decision in my life, because boy with them with

the new calls was dripping that I couldn't aford. Damn you, but you don't have to look at it. At one point I thought you and Tip was gonna have people. And I'll tell you why. It's because New Yorkers both attributed y'all to the Trap guards, Like you know what I'm saying, Like, because because we didn't call it trap. I mean, you know what trap was to us in New York was actual money, right, So I actually got

a record. I just want to throw this out there. Erstand, I said, let's laundry, Matt, Trap keep the looting Iraq, Iraq, see the world of world, see Iraq. So that's like any seven with us. You know, I might be the nigga invented trap stoning it out there. It's just glory. It's document record. But but let me go back to the point I was trying to make it because Austin New York, when they spoke to the Houston language, we

identify with both of y'all. So when when we didn't know who was going to claim like the track can't go whatever, whatever, But what happened was y'all became like friends at home. That's like that. I think. I think that the difference was, like he was from New York, y'all a y'all happy a bit. But I kind of look at it like jam puff though they never had be That's a good point, you know what I'm saying,

Like they just got money, they did their thing. But for me, I was more on the motivation until because that's that's who I was and that's who I'm still laing. So to me, I just wanted my music to you know, to touch the hearts of women, me and children, you fee I'm saying. So that's what I was doing like I didn't even understand the whole trap ship like I called trapper trapper dot because I was like, you're gonna hustle,

you ain't gona eleat, you know what I'm saying. So it wasn't like I was going and saying, you know, I'm the I'm the king of the track, like when I was running around and doing ship and I dropped the trap of that D D D. And I might go to somebody trap house and be doing it and I'll just be like when I walk in, they're watching tramper down the screen. It's like, nigga, you just see me, Like what y'are watching it for them? Like Nigga, this is motivation. I'm just like, oh, so that's who I was,

you know what I'm saying. The whole trap element of it, I didn't. I didn't get that until you know, people associated with the sound, you know what I'm saying. And I was just like, okay, this so so it's no different from saying snap music music, you know what I'm saying, or samples, you know what I mean. They just associated with the sound, you know what I'm saying. But to me,

trapp was a real way of life. Yeah, I mean to us, Trapp was drunk, like you know what I'm saying, Like uh uh, Like I said, we just had Niles on here and nas is that pity me of that? Like like whether you knew No sold drugs or not, you knew that he was around that drug dealing element. He to me now as one of those types of people, like his storytelling skills, you know what it's it's almost this now, it's almost like the Denny Glover kids. You know what I'm saying. If I've watched the A. T.

L Show a couple of times, did he did? He got on Netflix, but he from the town Fox, Yeah, but he from the town. But that's how he's seen it. So he's able to tell the story different than the people that sitting in the pot and just like nah, it's just like you know, he from New York City, right, so he was there, he saw. His storytelling made us made it vivid for us because he was queens. But you can understand what he can stand outside, sit on

the stoop and tell you what it was. And for me, it was like the adversity, that's that's my high, you know what I'm saying. So it's like I like to fight back against it. You know, I'm just always been a rubble. So just like when you got put in situations like how do I get out of this? I think my way through it. I get this ship done.

When I started putting that into my music and people were telling me, I listened to what you said and this happen and I was like, oh, ship, So it ain't no different from Tony Robbins or Tony Robbins, Uh, he's got Bob. It's the same thing. You're just telling them what you've been through is motivation. You ever did a record U with somebody and felt like they got the best of you? Hold up because I think I think a good record is a good record. But I

gotta listen to the fact. There's been times that I that I felt like They've been times that I felt like that went my night in the studio, I can't say that, Okay, Like my voice wasn't right, my delivery was a little off. And then but that's when I started noticing that I shouldn't just be doing it just to do it. I just do when I feel it, when I'm at my best. You know what I'm saying, because I can do that. You know what I'm saying? What record you just gonna say that? Uh? I don't,

I don't know. I mean you could name one that you thought it was a feature, that you felt like it, I can tell you, but no, I mean because that you know, you and Ross got like the most up in the air with hold. Like sometimes when people say you got the better verse with hole and sometimes hold, so they say they got a better way. And the pers where you're from now, because ain't nobody for New York say yeah, sometimes you don't know, Like I'm just

saying versus a verse. So any time you ever felt like you wasn't a hundred's in confident what you did and the record came out, I can't name one off the top of my head, but yeah, it's happen to happy. Yeah, it's like, damn, it's been no time. When you sit back, you go like, you know, damn, I smoke too much weed the night. I'm just slazy. You know what I'm saying. I'm not gonna lie. I'll tell you. I'll tell you one of minds when we tell you what I felt like.

Styles pe cheated? Right? You? How did you know how did you know how did you know on the Violator dren listen? So they so they don't they give me to be the last minute? That was the dope record overall? What's you saying? He asked me a question? Oh, I asked myself. You know, I just felt like he heard my verse and then he basically but I didn't know he was on the record. I didn't know nothing, like

I don't know anything. No. I just they just gave me the record and then just you noticed me on styles don't shot each other out like that's on that record, on that record, because like, um, I just laid the verse and I left, but not thinking someone else is gonna be on it.
