Together they drink it up with some of the biggest players in music and sports. Me the most professional unprofessional podcast. This is Drinks Chap Radio. Every day is New Year's Eve. That's Hey Hanks, this out. This is your boy. What Up? His DJ e f

N And it's his Drink Champs motherfucking podcast. Right now we have one of the members from the one of the most legendary anders in the hip hop He is also one of the best producers that ever had lived. He is also the man behind everything that was produced there. He's also he is also a very lion, this type of person. He came to the Lions then. He didn't care about the Romans or none of that. He came, he flew out on his own time. He's a legend.

I knew him from Twelfth Street. I knew him from back then, and he is in the house with the drink champs. In case you guys are confused, I don't know who I'm talking about. I'm talking about the legendary have it of Mark Deep maybe's I am very listen, I'm very This is one of my most excited interviews because, um, I know our history and I know how cool we are. But I know I know how the internet, you know, take shi up and switch and switching and bounce it.

And the interesting thing about you is like, I just recently got asked to do a show is called Hot Hot Ones, right when you do the Hot Wings. And I was like, yo, I wanted to change it up a little bit. I was like, yo, listen to the it's a show it's called and it's on Complex. So um I was I was like, yo, I want to change up a little bit. Tell them about to five wings. That's real hot, and I'll do five of the strongest

vodka in the world. And I thought about it. I was like, half could have easily said that to me. He's gonna said, Yo, y'all do it, but I want to do it on this and you did that. Let's make some noise. Not his game. So listen, you got one of the best hip hop stories I ever want this beat. This is one of the best hip hop stories I've ever heard. You may shook ones or for the project. Yeah, he is very smart. How many other people have been cooking on the Project stove and it

ain't make a dollar? Just think made the mirror. Let's make some noise. Let me tell you something. At that time, people and basically people in forty people are really listening to the Project Souls and I ain't even think about you. But now, oh that is the that's the before you light it. Yeah, right before you light it, you know, before it come on and all that. You know. So so let me ask you did you think of the

beat when you heard that? Now you know, I was just in the projects, you know, broke as fuck, just like or something like, I just got to make some ship. So you know, the stove inspired me, you know what I mean. So I was like, yeah, let me throw this into the beat and you know whatever it was after the first album, this is at you. I never really considered you. But now Hill, I never even I never think about it, no doubt. So I always be like, you know what saying the infamous albums like my first

album and the the juvenile hells like the miscarriage. Yeah say that. Yeah, yeah he No, he didn't executive produce it, but he uh, he really helped us out. Like he we wasn't nobody. He didn't infamous album. No, he didn't know something do Yeah. He used to drive out to him. Let me look at the like having oh man, yeah, that was our first album right there. So you produced this on this is w No. I got my first

taste of production on there. I really didn't know how to produce at that time, so I just did, like, you know, one or two songs on there because you were in the art and design. So let me very smart, not smart, but let's make some noise for that's a prestigious school. My brother, I'm from up from the town.

I know what this. So when did you start producing, like like what happened um back when the producer asked me for we asked for a beat from a known producers I've seen, not Ris, but I'm not gonna blow his name up. Whoever it was. I should we Patty wanna drink? Chat right? Take another drink? Take another drink? More? Did you drink? We need you to get Patty right now? Come on? All right? Not not but I love this

guy to death. But pe Ron asked us for like grand and my budget was only sixty thousand, and he asked us for twenty five thousand. I was like, I'm gonna make my own beats for real. That's how it started. That's how I started. But during this project, during no, during the now, it was that project. It was that project because I seen inside the label and he said that you asked him for a beat. Oh he told me. He told you to keep making your own beats. Yeah, yeah,

he inspired me to. He was like no, no, not gonna make your own ship. And then I was like, all right, sucking. Then I made my own ship. I didn't even know how to make beats really, like you know what I'm saying. I just was like just watching people because you know, because you know you're from Left Frame pros from over there. I used to go over there to Large Pro crib and then watch him make beats.

And whenever I used to ask some questions like Yo, how you do that, he'd be like like, chill, Like chill, don't ask questions, just watch. So I used to just watch Large Pro dude beats with the infamous album, right, and he learned from the best of the game, damn it. I mean, you know, Q Tip was ill, and he like, we didn't have no money back then, so you know, they were just willing to help us, right, just just just just from the buzz of juvenile Hell, it wasn't

no buzz. It wasn't look I got in Florida. I got this in Miami. I mean, now it's a buzz like you know what I'm saying, Like, you know, that was our first album, but it wasn't no buzz. I got this before ones and all that, right, I mean, but it was cool always, Like listen, he gave Cares won a tennis ball from nineteen Yeah, what's three years from nineteen from before Cavs was born. This boy took cause you signed this for me, and you know what I mean, this is my man. Yeah, so you guys

you worked with Biggie Small, right, how was that? I mean it was pretty cool, you know what I mean. We had just dropped, you know what I'm saying, the Infamous album and he was working on Life after Death. So Puff hit me up. He was like, y'all need some trash for whatever, blah blah blah. But this is a strange story that happened because I gave I sent Puffs some beats and then uh, we actually did it in the studio. Like the beat that I did it got lost whatever he paid for and like Puff is

like a gangster. He was like, yeo, where's the track out paid for? He was like it was a child, was like yea, all got it. He was like, well, you gonna make this beat right there? You know you gonta do it. You're gonna do it over. So then I had to, you know, recollect it and to just do it over. What beat was that? Living to my Last Days? Money to him that the ones with the locks on it on the life and you just did famous? You got something to do with that? The video was wild. Yeah.

I spent like, uh six months and Callie working on on on on the album with Kanye. Yeah, I spent that time out there. I only got like you know, I wanted to have tracks on there, but it was worth it. Just smoke already, man, Just go back to Blunt's not happen You literally currency influenced me. Currency whole way head smoking cold. You know you don't want me to smoke that. No, no, so you ushould drink. I

and J back in the original Drink Champion. Yeah, yeah, J. Would you say that was the worst days of your life? That was said that the worst the word like you was bad active. I said that was like the roughest days of the month. Yeah, I still wake up drinking that. I went to queens Bridge one time, like eleven o'clock in the morning. A lot of people don't know this. The first time I met you wasn't through Capone. It

was through Twin. Me and Twin was locked up and sparking big up the Twin for Queen's bridget A big Twin came and you guys got shook one. You got the number one record in the world. You're sitting on the bench, on top of the bench, just down the bottle and J just fall and everybody like, oh ship. I was like, yo, this thing is a rack. This was in the world like to see and you was you was at that time, you was dead up, still living in the hood, and you you had the number

one record. You could have bounced like after I made money, I was like, I thought about you. I was like that nigga really staved like you duked it out for a while for a little second, I do did you save at least what I saved? You save money? Now we were spending that ship, yo, But yo, that that was like that was my first experience. Like I came to Queen's Bridge and I've seen you the first day.

I remember Twain introducing us. But I remember that ship was like ill to me, like to see that you was really still out there, like and you was rich, Like you know what I'm saying, Like you you have money coming in. You niggas had shows that that record was everywhere because you know what it was like, because when you're living in the project exactly like when you come from or whatever. When you got respect, you don't feel like going anywhere. You know what I'm saying. You

got that respect, you know what I'm saying. Not saying, I like I was a gangster or anything like that. But I just had that respect, you know what I'm saying out there, and I could have money you being you know what I mean, it's respect. Something is get money, and they gotta leave because they don't got no respect,

you know what I'm saying. So I stayed out there for the reasonable amount of time, you know what I'm saying that then and then and then what made you find what was the final step where you said, I gotta get the funk up out of it? Because I used to come in the crib like around you know, four o'clock in the morning. At five o'clock in the morning, was out, there was out. There was the wild pack ahead and knock you out, knock you out. He's wild.

But like that. Yeah, but you know, after a while, it's like you can't dangle meet in front of wolves for too long. So I just like, you know, let me just go because you know what it was why it took me so long, because I was scared. You know what, ain't I always lives in the projects, living on my own, you know what I'm saying. That lyric you said, no matter how much blue getting I gotta

stay tuned to out. You know. Yeah it was wild, but you know so um, you know, I was a little scared, so I was like, you know, funk it. I just went out on my own, became a grown man. It was like I gotta get my own. You know what I'm saying, You know, some grown man ship and you can't you you was way too big of an artist, way too big. And but your block is famous, like people got to know twelve Street Run Our Test is

the next building from you. Right, this is correct, right, that is it's it's half building Run Our Tests building and then Campons Building and Compons Building right there, and all of our families was all cool with this sounds crazy, and I'm saying all about so like when I see Run Run or TV Run Our Tests on TV, like you know and the like supposed to be calling the

metal World piece, but I call your mama plan. So you know, so when I see him and stuff like that, it's not like a thing where we'll be like yo, s he for my projects. Now we all know each other, like it's like really family. I've seen Ramon in Club Live with NAS. He pulled out a nineteen eighty nine Nokia pharone. I said, Slim, you gotta step it up. You got I got phones? Man, When I say the play and caress, when I'm still looking for you, Carress, you want to give you a fucking phone? What kind

of still out a beat? Boy? He was that serious though, he was that he gotta say that. He did say, he said he has a beat, but we got gotta work no more. N I think, listen, you can't get careless run direct him and rock him as hard niggers. To just reach direct, you gotta hit the person in person. And then that persons. Yeah, and you know they get on ships and ship like that. Let's makes no noise to care arrested. Goddamnit. They're not responding to that ship.

Duc and sad. But that block in twelfth Street, you have ron ron um Like we used to like when I was out there and I used to play ball, we used to think of ram Ran as a butch, like he was the guy who came into to to tuck things out. He really made it Like, how did you know that? From the beginning, I mean, his father used to his pops, you know, was on the block.

His pops used to have him out there and his twenty degree whether playing ball on the blass this is and his father knocking him down like this, So you already knew that when he did make I didn't think he was gonna make it, But when he did make it, I was like, oh, of course. You know. It's kind of similar to Serena Williams and Venus Williams and the

story with ram Ran. It was made to be tough, like people don't think that, Like you know, he's in the n b A and you know, his pops like he's he is a rude like nigga on that course. What I mean by like, you know what I'm saying, Like his pops told him to be the toughest dude. Like his post was a man's man, you know what I'm saying. And when you see him on the cold when he was doing this thing, it's not a mistake.

You know what I'm saying, you'd be like, oh, ship, Like people think that he's crazy, but he's not crazy. He was just made to play that way. Like and you know right, so now Juvenile Hell came out before Illmatic correct, Yeah it did it? Did it did? So? Did you did you see NAS recording illmatic at any point.

By time he was recording Allmatic, me and him wasn't really hanging with each other no more because he was just Columbia just grabbed him whoever, like during the juven because yeah, because we was teenagers together before even juven out hell came out, you know what I'm saying. So we used to hang out and far together. No. I never went to a full. You never went to toll Fall. No, Queen's rich niggas makes a noise, a toll full. Everybody in queens nobody queens here. That's a school was the

school to go to. We set it in body in the trump Man. I went to one. I was sliss talking about Holy only each other man. That's crazy, That's yeah, That's that's how I met Queensburg because I was from my head. Yeah, I was from I got kicked out of older schools in Corona, left Frack East. Yeah, I seven kicked out of sixty one, and I kicked out of another school and they sent me to Ridgewood. I knew I was days preparing me for jail because there was no women in there. I was like, hold on,

this is a six Honday school. Gave me one more chance and I had to go to I S one six and Bliss from the seven s and Bliss you get out. And the two niggas I met was Kaam Capone Holly right which is capone and LJ do name el also te Street for twel street. Member, can you tell these things? Very street queen? Listen, listen, I'm honorary. Let me tell you something. Um. When I first met Nory and Nod he was like hanging around and stuff

like that. He was almost like it was like he was from there, like real accepted me, like he was like from there. He just came in, he fit in, you know what I'm saying or whatever whatever. But I was locked up with twin yep, and like it was Credit and Lincoln and Lincoln Yes we're eating now latest now later. This is like Golden sp makes some lost for you have never been a Sparta come on the crowds way Yeah, so yo, y'all history is so crazy. So you were you and P? Because P is originally

from Long Island, y'all connected? Queen P is from originally from from what I know, he's from like Queens and then his grandmother lived in Allan. You can't just say queens like. Yeah, he was from left rack from up from because back then we used to call him peewee like and we called and we called him that too, so he was hold on. We's because having his Amanda here is Amanda was Amanda? Can I can I get another drink? Let's shut up, shut out the best? I

told her, have outside, sat cared front. It's the first time. Doesn't look good, he said, y'all think it's looking good. He's looking good. We got we got pretty girls out. Let's shout out the best. Not only the liquor, but they provided the females because having his here, and he's a very special guest. He's a glassic guy. And they got a spat and kindle. They got a spot another to spats and candle. I want to pronounced that was

that the hood in the range? Yeah? Yeah, it sounds like orange, but it is in Spanish that I don't have and cut the bay, cut the bay. They got the liquer. So happy whenever you are as best buy liquors man, what's the Instagram best Buy liquors? Right there is what it is at best Buy liquors man. Definitely looking at yeah, so have man you know. Um, so you said, y'all, yeah, he's yeah, he's from Wising, from

that frog, from that frock. And when I'm with the police, the police, this is not that's not a false along. Oh they kept moving, it wanted to stop. It was weird. It was weird. It was weird. And we have we're not friending. Is the first time we ever had police. The second time that Oh I wasn't here, We're not baking, we're not faking a last week we had to say I wasn't dead when the police pulled at all. It all so so you guys were we age when you connected.

When I first met p y'all don't say why y'all calling people, come on and we don't know you. You're talking like families. He was sure. But I met him when I was fifteen. I met him on his high school whatever whatever. He used to have madgerry on and it was blund you know what I'm saying. He didn't have back in the day's Kam used to streets. He had the whole thing. He used to call him to go to the the challenge. But he didn't heroin with me.

But he was, you know, he was the coolst look at what I'm saying that we connected and then so um when y'all met was instantly like yo, he told you he does music? Or like, how how was it initially when y'all first met, Like no, because we used to be Yeah, we used to be in the lunch room and they used to be free staling at the tables. He was one of them, is freet staling. I used to feast that blah blah blah blah. And then as soon as we met, it was like instant friends, like

instant friends, like instant you know what I mean. And and he was rapping at the time on because I heard, um, you wrote his first round. I mean he used to he used to have his own rhynds and stuff like that. But but we got a deal and stuff like that. You know, I used to write and whatever. He didn't need it, but credit have go ahead, he wrote first to listen, Man, you gonta loosen. You gotta keep drinking. You do you want to drink? Amanda? I look, I'm floss.

Amanda is very pretty. She's on the podcast for us. She's from best Buy Liquors. You're trying to show off for you half Yeah, we've never never had this, we never had this. This is best. We're pulling all the stops for you. Yeah though, man, I love this show. So listen, fathers, they just passed. How many? How many bulls did you pay for in your life? How many? But she's sound like you said, Boston's bush? How many

bushes that pay for my life? Keep it real, keep you keep say like too, because like like to, like to, I've gotta disagree with you, gonna say, did you answer that? I just I just heard how I might be in a double digits in nice. You ain't taking a professional one. And the night you're the professional one with the hangars and he was like, come here, let's have it for Marthy. You were like the first Wesley Snipe that one, like

he was like the hip hop version. Oh he was knocking down a lot of a lot of a lot of things. I mean, that's back in the days, back in the day. That's not we ain't talking about nothing new. Back in the days. It was knocking down a lot of things. Yeah, you was doing and you only pay for tool boys. Listen my experiences. If you're dark skin

and you're from twelve Streets powerful, you're a freak. If you're dog skinning you from twelve streets, you're freak to make some noise for me knowing what's going on and Queen's range Norde, it is kind of true. Yeah, I got another story. That's another show. Yeah, I should have had. So let's let's get let's get to these rumors. Right. A lot of people they seen this email that came out right and me and half what people don't know before the book was wrote for everything, Me and you

probably came out. Yes, you came out here. You hunger me in Miami like we were. Everything was cool. He brought me out for your birthday. Ba's right from the birthday party. Were don't get back to the birthday party. Right, But this this email came out and they existed, right. It was a show that happened in the Lando and my DJ, Butcher Rock. Butcher Rock the promoter hit hit him and said, uh it was he booked us. I guess he sent y'all half and then he was sending

us a half and then this email comes out. They said, mom, d didn't want to do a show. If CNN it's in the bell, then okay, do you believe that? Yeah, I do believe. I mean, but okay, let me. I ain't even gonna go deep. But anyway, you know what I'm saying, I kind of heard about that you aren't worded about. I kind of heard about that before the record. You definitely have nothing to do with mom not wanting

to do a show with CNN. Like with No and Cap, Look, I'm gonna I'm gonna say, Look, we're gonna throw it on the table. Our bird, Victor, Kiwan and Kaya we know each other. So I was just disturbed by the email because I could tell it wasn't you. I could tell I wasn't I know you. I was definitely I was definitely Uh. I didn't see the email, but I heard about the situation. I was like what I was like, you know, no, IM not kind of a lot of times certain should be out of my hands because I

don't give a fuck. Is if you're gonna pay me saying I'm gonna be at the show wherever. You know what I'm saying, I don't. I don't care who's evening there. I don't care. You know what I'm saying. It's because you know, but I just because I just had to want to kill that rumor because at the end of the day, you know nas is they're alluded to the NAS component orienta mab deep toll. Is that not the

craziest I heard that rumor, you heard goddamnit. And but but you know what that that could five He was ready to give me five hundred thousand, and I couldn't get in contact with y'all at one point. That's my work. See you know now that's see see now to you, I was like, it was like, yeah, I mean I hate Ice. I hate Ice, right, yeah, I hate Ice. Hit me that that's not half. But but but but like you know, because um, this is real ship, because us when we live in this internet world. That's why

I gotta really respect you for this. You know what I'm saying for you taking your time out and obviously you here to dad that room, but you're here to say that y'all listen. And he reached out, and he reached out, yea, not even hit him. You're my dude, I've really hit you first. Then I hit him right then. I was like, you gotta have me on this show. Yes,

I really really really respect that move. So I just wanted the people to know that for people who think there's a mob d uh component oriega beef, there is not. I mean it was, it was, it was whatever back then. But to keep it, to keep it really, to keep it real, is like, Okay, you know what I'm saying. Old families and clues have a little friction going on or whatever, but it's nothing that never can't get fixed. What I'm saying that whatever, let me salute your glass

for that, slute your glass for that and have it came. Man, I am mad impressed that some noise. I'm a little scared of your questioning, but I said, you know what, fuck it, because you know what it is, see people to people. Forget about the picture. Who when I was in New Rochelle and you came your question, you ain't. You ain't send me this record? Who did I come with? Who come? Don't? You can't came in security the top smart move, smart move, you can't make some noise and

security don't know Big Tim. I don't know. If I should have seen a lot of nigger videos. I was like, I gotta bring somebody to him, Big Tim. Okay, big a big Tim from Flushing. So now I mean, you don't know how much I respect that because this this room one needed to be the rest. And I feel

like me you nas mob deep component over yea. I feel like that's something that we should do because we're not like fake friends, like I really know you, you really know me, I really know Prodigy, you really know me, you really know Kayen like I know him and Pee ship. But listen, Capone, it's not gonna do nothing, not like I'm the boss of campone. But that's over, Like Prodigy, just put that ship to the side and let's start over.

Even Boom he was respecting. He said he just wanted to talk about because if we said any more beach slander, you wouldn't have came here and you would have known about it. There's no mom an in any time. You know what I'm saying, I see you, you know what I would, and then saying I always taken in a playful man like see, here's the deal. Let me just get you to the point. Prodigy is my man like

me and you hung out a whole lot. But me and Pete just you know, when I found out his left frack ties, I kind of, you know, took a lin into him, right, and you know what I mean, and me and Pete hung out so much so the book threw me off. I'm gonna be honest, this is me. My point is I didn't read the book. I know, I never seen you big up the book or nothing like that. But we'll get to that later, right, So the book comes out, I kind of took it as a just a little disrespect because I felt like I

would never speak about that situation. I never made records about that shooting. Yeah they shooting. Yeah, I didn't shoot that. You have you know what I'm saying, like that day, like that was in the studio, studio it was, But what I'm saying is like, no, no, I purposely would never shoot having all prodigy, that's my word. But I was assume that other names they dropped me, the cute club, they dropped me. But I never spoke about it. I

never got money or of it. So for him to pre book and at the end of the day, if you throw my name in it, if you the thing about it is, it's gonna go off, but you gotta you can't control where it lands. You might throw it up and just want to catch it. Like at that time, I was sitting back, I was like nah, I'm not I'm not letting this go. And and and just I'm

gonna tell my side of the story. Ship. Do you think I took it too far when I was going at him, going at Prodigy, I mean, you got you your own man, you gotta do what you gotta do. I like your answer, go off side officially. But but but when when all that ship was going down like crazy shit, it's like, come on, man, that she was like what twenty years ago? Yeah, definitely, man, definitely. And I would never wanted to disrespect people like you know, Karate Joe. You know That's why I never made a

about that. I remember that it was the first time it was brought up in the public's the first time, and I'm gonna keep it real. I spoke to P, and P said, um um, you know I got you in the book. But there was no disrespect. So I was like, all right, cool, So I'm looking forward to the ship. Then the ship hits me from the background and I'm like, damn, So if you use my name, I got a choice to like it or not like it. I didn't like it, so I had a choice, and I was ponder the way I did. But it was

all in jokes. It was all in fun, and I'm glad that you came here. I'm glad you because you know what, out of out of out of component Noriega and mar D, I'm gonna give you be the bravest one to come through and step forward and put this rumor to a motherfucking rack, because you could have been any place in the world tonight, of course, but you chose to be here tonight. And I want to say, maybe the fucking happy we're gonna get this money in mind? You when he hit us up, when he hit at

least the Dream Champions Instagram, he didn't. He didn't hit us up to be on the show. He was just saying, yo, y'all doing like he was just showing I really, I really do. So you got a new project, right, let's talk about this new project. Let's put that in front your face. Alchemists. How did y'all meet alchemists? Um, they met alchemists and then I met him later? Whose day

people in college? You know what I mean? And they met they met uh alchemists, and then I met him later and I was ship, you know what I'm saying. So I knew him ever since and then and then and then what's what's the first beat y'all collaborated on? You alchemist and him ship man, we've never been working for a minute though now, but we never really collaborated on the beats. We never. We never. It's either producing

for y'all. No, he a, yeah, like he did ship like since like what ninety nine and two thousand song and started doing stuff for us and stuff like that. So you know, I was I took a leg of to him, and I was like, you know, I don't be uh, you know, I'm not like a hall over the beats and ship. I was like, oh, you got gonna do beats, come on and do some pieces, you know. And he happened to just be nice. Not the tragedy name. Yes he did. Indeed, let's make some noise for tragedy man.

Where does that name come from? What I met trash back in eighty eight when he first came home. I guess he was locked up for like three years year Trash here or whatever. Yeah, that's like my mentor you know what I mean. He used to be me the w BLS and all these other little stations and stuff like that to Morley mah House, and I didn't have a rap name, and I was like, yo, you know, I don't gotta rap name, and he was like, I'm

gonna give you one of my names. So his name was Having, Trash, tragedy, tragic, and then he just gave me Having And what year was this? Eighty eight? We point o point. So what was your most memorable session you ever had? My most memorable session that I ever had being in the studio. The most memorable session that I haven't had been in the studio was when uh He's working on Hello Nerve and I got there first

to the studio peking. Second, he had just bought a new car, Tahoe something like that, and then he let the rest of them go get some trees. And then maybe a half an hour later, an hour later, we found out that some of the crew got into a car accident. To them, got I know what you're talking about. Twining said that Godfather was driving, and he was driving was that he was doing we were doing Hell on Earth.

He's doing the Hell on Earth album. And so that's the most memorable session that I haven't had, Like you know, good memorable now it's I mean, but it's a memorable at least, you know, And then Uh Prodigy had to warrant and the police was calling his phone. He was like, yo, should should I answer? And I was like, nigger man, because Godfather already called us and said, Yo, man, niggas just hurt. Niggas just hurt. And then the police is

calling next. Now I hear it. Godfather was like the only one like who didn't have no cuts, not nothing, and everybody else it's always the driver is like always be the one that don't really obtain any injuries. But two people died and two others like critically injured but they lived. And did I hit the room more correct? Like it was like they hit they hit a cone?

Was it a can? You know when you're on the west side of highway and you're driving off and you're driving up town and you get in they got that little divided that's like only this big, you know what I mean. So if you miss an exit but you're trying to get back going and you're doing seventy months per hour, the cargos bowler, So that's what happened. Dahn God bless man, Yeah, God, I remember that time man. So that was definitely one of the most members studio.

I remember that Times Street and another and another memorable moment I know. But another memorable one was when we was working on Murder music and we was in an Electric Lady right there on West Aid for something like that. Yeah. Yeah, Like then I had came back and one of my homeboys like getting Princess out there. I was like, get the funk out there, So he went and got you want to tell me you met Prince? Yes, yeah, I've never been in the vicinity of the words, and that's

how I feel about Michael Jackson. So anyway, so we in the studio. One of my homeboys was like, yo, Princes out there. I was like, get the funk out of here. He was like, hell yeah, I'll bring that a game. Mad cool. He fucking brought Prince in the studio. Now I'm about this Electric Lady. Remember this is Jimi Hendricks. Now about this, I'm about this tour whatever. Prince is like this and he had did he have just know,

he just had kids number one on Hills. So I was making so I was so I was making a beat and then I was like, holy ship, Prince like he just hung out at that point yeah. I was like, Yo, is there anything I need to do to the beat, because like hold on that. They got over the keyboard started to guard the record though he was that cool yo when he beat yes and I'll bet and then snoop, I'm doing the beat and this record came out. It came out record It's called out, shall now kill? Listen

to it? Oh my god, Prince. They probably walked away and say, don't give me credit? How do you play the key Then Nigga walked down and didn't even say bye, how about dad credit? He was like, I'm like, way, because produces live the elless life. Like producers live the Ellis life. Let's just keep it here. It's okay, no no elless life, right, I mean, because you guys not only get to make your own project, but you get to go out there like with with the Big We.

You wasn't there with Big Lady the vocals. No, I wasn't there with Big Who was you there? Like they blown your way to lad your vote lad, they vot money your beats, Little Kim and Foxy m together. No, no, no this record that now, but I saw them east time. You know what I'm saying, Like when I was going to Foxy. I've seen her like her vocals, and then I've seen a little kim Ley hugs, So it was kind of dope. Now we did l A l A right, Yeah, now we did that together. Yeah we did. They only

win that, y'all. But y'all ever matter at us for that, Like, but if that was it was originally a Mob Deep record. If you originally White label said Mob Deep, No, that's because somebody who whatever, Yeah, that was the record and they asked us to get on it exactly, and it was like we could have been like R was doing the very first the imitations of the West Coast, all the slang. Who's doing that? The intro say, I don't because look this is this is how I remember it.

You tell me if you remember it. The um I happened to be in Queen's Bridge just hanging out like I love twelve Street. That was I felt like I was a twelve Street I'm from fifty seven. Yeah, I'm I'm very twelve street maker, right, okay boom. So we're out there and then Stretch Armstrong is doing this bad Boy mixtape. Remember remember it was the bad Boys take. I don't remember, but yeah, this is what this, this

is what is originally for. So so it was a freestyle in the sense and in the sense it was a freestyle. So um, that day a dude named Chass from my hood. I remember he was the flying Snigger from my hood. But he was the craziest snigger. Right. So, so Chass this outside like he confused, he playing me New York, New York. He's like, yo, you think they're this on us? So I'm like, I don't know. I

go to Queensbridge right to meet up. We happened to, you know, be there and Stretch Armstrong calls and says, it's come to the studio. So you had I think you had the turquoise blazer. Yes I did. Yeah, A little good had a turnquoise blazer. That that that the listen just in case y'all thinking of a blazer. Now, back then a blazer was like a fucking this. Guys got a memory of a turn. I can't tell you what happened yesterday, but I can tell you come up.

I remember this. So everybody we met at Stretched on Strang's crib, and um, I think back then, having had already gave us beat, but we ain't put nothing now but the originals on the original Dog Pound Beat. So this is what happened? Stretched back. Yeah, I think we had already did so what no no, no, no, no norong. So what happened is this is L A l A.

So what happened? Um stretch? I said, the stretch? Yo. I remember Chad had just played me this, so I asked him he was on something called a DJ list back then, back in the days, you could send somebody a record and two months in advance and your ship wouldn't be bootlegs. You know what I'm saying, Because if he was on the DJ list, it was just a So I asked Stressed to pull it up. We heard New York, New York. We couldn't determine if they were dissing us or not, so technically we didn't diss them.

We just rhymed correct the video I always, I always, but I remember it was Prodigies verse. They took it because he said, um, he said JFK on our way to L A M. And remember remember and then he used that on your album later. But the original L A l A were all five of us. Prodigy said, n y C, you and our verse supremacy having in pre Queen's Nigga, so it's seemed to be Mega got word back from Noriega. And that was on the original L A L A. Oh, I'm gonna break it down.

He did that on right, hold on, hold on somewhere else, no if versus were so where else, but it was originally on L A L A. He took it off. And when he took it off, we remember we're calling Steve Riffis. Steve looking was like, no, he doesn't want to be a part of this. Yeah, you didn't. You didn't even make some noise happy, I didn't you stayed the part of make some noise that happen to stay it.

But from what I heard, now I never heard this from Prodigy or or Steve Rifkin myself, but from what I heard, Steve Riffins said Prodigy didn't want to do it. And then the verse came off the week that the day that we shot the video is the day it came out, and you was only supposed to come to the video. And then Prodigy showed that he was like he was in the video. That's right, that's right, because it was so he did his verse in the video.

No no, he was like he was just like l A l A big city and right, but you're saying it wasn't a distract who said that? No? No, But then because that intro was this know yeah yeah, yeah yeah that that was replaced, but but we heard it. We all heard it. But then then that sounds like live nigga rack. That was it. Then he that's when he used that person. That's when he used that person, but originally and then here's my question, is Tupac came

at y'all you know this is my record? Did you have at one point where it's be like yeah, yeah, like quest But I didn't give a fuck because I was like, because what did you do? Um? What was the record? I loved the racket, it just dropped it too late when you went back and dropped the gym on. Yeah yeah, but I didn't kid because I was like, yo, this Niga Tupac. They think it from juice what I'm saying, like saying that name. So I was like, fuck, like who gives the fun what I'm saying because we got

like a hundred queensman, Well fucking kill you. But I loved to But did you time did you realize how beef that I mean, how big that moment was, Like like it was, it was huge, Like for Tupac to this you it's like you you go platinum or something like, I'm gonna keeping it red. That's how I think was. It was hard for the original Petty, but I wanted to I was like you, But then I thought about I said, I was super broke at that moment, so I couldn't have thought no Tupac beef. But they came

at it's a fact, my nigger. Like at one point on one arm, I was mad that he did job, and the other arm, I was like, holy ship, I whited my sweat, But y'all went back. I didn't give him. You didn't give drop with Jim, and we did drop a gym on it because I because I always thought that, like, even if we did see each other, it was gonna be like whatever, it wasn't gonna be the real ship, you know what I mean. We come from the hood, so the real shit is in the hood, and these

other niggas is just rapids. You know, this is real ship right there. It's real ship. You know. The fans and the people wanted to notice a story. This is dope. When you did my radio when the l A l A Ship was out, believe me, we was going to l A under Elias is like when we couldn't just because Biggie got killed. Remember this time, that's true this time. What's the chronological order of that though? So when the

L A A came out? What years after ninety six? Right, and Biggie had died when si No, no, not google Google because the record that because diverse Biggie dies, No, no, no, we need the Google. So this is way before big when Biggie and Pop died, right, Yeah, Biggie had passed for sure. Was ninety seven alright, it was later, Yeah, so it's still ninety seven, but still name. All I know is I remember like when all of that, when all of that stuff was going down, it was the

East Coast, West Coast beat. Somebody probably didn't even die yet, you understand what I'm saying. So when they did die, you understand it was like, okay, bulletproof cause names under the alias is. But California is a market that you have to be into to sell records. It's like a huge market and it's one of our number one markets to this day. You understand what I'm saying, and I'm sure you can agree. I love California. I'm out there.

I gotta I got a crib about this. It's like, you know, make some noise for havoc flaws, having your old st I just seen you. You haven't rolled up in a yellow cat. Let's make some noise for that, nigga. You gotta that's some old school ship. Because because that's because my Uba account was compromised the way y'all count you know, so when I used my Uba somebody knows. You have to explain this because don't want to watch out for this. I don't even want to explain it.

But somebody knows I'm using computers one day. One time you got tapped, right, they said that you said, ship like you're not good with computers. You need to get your original. That's that's in segrede Like you ain't sucking up. Yeah, yeah, what those pssigens true? Like, let's just keep it real. That's just got you seen the messages I send the compone ship. It's so good. It's the same ship. It may not you went a little too far. I did call them a fact and all that you were a

little too far. I don't even want to relive that moment, but I was. I was out of my mind that listen. That's the part I didn't mean it. I totally understood that ship listening, I know, but I didn't mean it. Understand it, but I didn't mean it. I said, you listen, if you could see the ship that we say to each other, like like when in the middle of an argument, there's no respect. You come back later and be like, yo, my bad man. Of course we fight, we fight, we

fight dirty? How many fights? And keep I wanted that just stow that out there, that we just stole that out there. And I said, and Paul, who wins in the fight? I'm always gonna win against And like Vegas, my security is like the cows were talking about, it's your brother security champion involving, it's your brother anyway you're stuffing in Vegas, right, That's definitely that's definitely a lot of But now I gotta ask, you know, people hit me up on the d M. I got you, I

got a job. Yeah. On my Instagram, my DM is getting scary on my Instagram, I'm searching because now you check them out there's two different d m s, right, there's one thing is only one d people who follow you and this DM people. Oh those niggas and they take pictures show up on the computer to having listen. Let me, yeah, them niggass foul. Let's be asking me weird ship. Yeah, I don't know about those. Welcome to play a new podcast network featuring radio and TV personalities,

talking business, sports, tech, entertainment, and more. Play it at play dot It. We're back to Drink Champs Radio with Rapper and R and d j FN. Where was we are? Right? I forgot you me coupon for one time, as like I forgot God make upone for one time. He's in Japan? In Japan? Did I say this story? I said it in front of him and I said I wanted no, No, you didn't stayed in front of him? Yeah I did, episode Yeah I did. He Oh yeah, he was there. He wasn't really there. He wasn't really there, so he

was knocked the uh me a capone. He spoke about it on the podcast What was your worst fight? Like you and p worst fight Because partner's gotta fight. That's how you know the relationship is real. Like if you ain't snuff your nigga one time. Fine, niggers don't love each other's. You gotta just like I'm talking about, like when you got twenty years together like my dogs twenty something. Yeah, yeah, because I mean when money is involved, I'm talking about money.

You gotta snuff nigga one time, A rap stuff me. I'm gonna keep it. We never had to fight half you got Reverence Club. You're not doing it. Really didn't have a fight. But I don't believe you. Yeah, but you come, we can't close. I never never, never put my hands over But because I listen, I know you're lying. It's okay. Now you're protecting your people, and that's a

great thing. That's a great thing. I'm gonna tell you when you had to fight with him, when when it came home from jail, That's the same time I had to fight with Capone when the nigga's come home from jail. This is what we fucked up, right, me and you. You gotta leave a nigga. Three months after nigga come home from jail, the nigga still smells like cool crafts. So you gotta leave him Alan For three months, we try to hold these niggas down and we came on

and then you gotta fuck them up. Let's keep it ready, come on, having we heard you beat the body up before, let's make I'm sorry, I'm sorry, it's this drink chat. Have we retaught it over? I don't know. I just like I ain't gonna lie. I think campone is the only draw I had, Like it was a draw, like he snuffed me though. First it's a fact it came from jail. And it's still be in them like it's still be still. You gotta slam them in their head. You gotta slam on there. I've seen do some foul

ship right after came out of there. I didn't listen. Yes, yes, d D doesn't run in twelve Street. Is it like, let's make some noise for twelve street water. You know, I'm so proud that you came through because you know, this is all this ship is jokes and laughs, you know what I'm saying, Like the people, you're a legend, man, my dude, you like you've done so much historical monument

to ship, and we've done it. You know what I'm saying, Uh, seeing each other grow and I just I just The reason why we're joking and laughing is I want people to know because at the end of the day, I can't interview somebody at Drink Champs who don't want to do Drink Champs, like I can't. I can't, I can't

sleep this. But you're about to start getting a lot of interviews of like no, I mean, I'll ship is ring like yeah, yeah, but we stopped everything for you and we guess guess what We also we got what's that stud a bar bar? What is it called bartenders? A bartender? We got a bartender? And man like I want to make sure I want to stay the guy? What is it? Because it's bartender? We haven't we have a bartender? We have what the guy version of bartenders?

Same ends have? I think that hip hop should have our own race. Do you think I'm retarding who said that in the last episode, Like I think your own race? Like I feel like you should check, like hip hop is a race, Like hip hop is a race, Like I feel like like white black hip hop hip hop yep, Like I feel like I understand that, Like a w hotel is my favorite hotel? Right soon, that's my favorite hotel, right and in the W hotel, whatever W hotel you got? You got the gay flag out there. I don't care.

I'm good, but I want to hit my flag. What's it look like? I don't know. Let me make a hip hop flag? Hold me here? Even say you want to hit make it? We want to Why you war me on the drink hip? Yes, you start a contest if somebody didn't make the hip hop flag. Told me you know how they got the Jordan thing like that it should be like a hip hop flag. Yes, like

I am with that, like a contest. Yeah. And then because just think about it, hold on, ho told you to open the rose hold hold hold on, hold on. We're gonna say that for afterwards. Everybody else is saying no, no, nobody else, no, no, no, you listen to here. Let us tell you that, my man, what's hold on? Because we could be staying right here, but is in that having listen? This is real ship, right okay? Like like

we should have responsibility of putting people in office. Like I told Tyler quality he came here and he was speaking all this ship, you know, great ship about how we reform and great ship. But I said you should run for either mayor or Brooklyn Council council, like the or the mayor of Brooklyn. You know what they wanted. This is what I'm trying to do. I think he was down to do it. But now we told Mama Mississippi or l A, this is But you know what do when niggas be running for office, a lot of

skeleton stuff coming out. Donald Trump, he's like he's changing. Listen, he might being around to be the next perfect And he sat and look, look should you telling me? You're telling me that the ship that Donald Trump do? Right? But he's white, but he's white here. But he was like, it's like a smack. He turned politics into a freestyle battle. Right. So what I'm saying is that's why we can't win under being in black people, but we can win them

to being hip hop. You understand what I'm saying, Like we have people registered as a hip hopper. Party is a race or a party, it's both. Listen, I'm the guy a party. Yeah why not? Man gotta change something ship like they already hate us. But what I'm saying is we can actually turn the world around if if hip hop, because the world right now. Yeah, but we don't want culturally we don't. We could if we network everybody. That's what I'm saying, network everybody. You don't need to

have meetings. But you registered under the hip hop so you could beat any fucking nationality and you rent. That's that's a good idea. I'm just I'm saying I'm with with both for those because let's just say, let's just say, man, like, you know hip hop, it's crazy, Like you have brothers like Screwball from Queen's Bridge, you know what I'm saying, legend and one of them passed away, right, how many of the two of them passed away? I want school

one of them. Yeah, So why wouldn't hip hop come like, like, it shouldn't be mob deep responsibility, it should be hip hop responsibility when a person has dedicated their life to this culture and this thing, Like, we should have insurance policies for ourselves, even bigger than even bigger than that. Do you agree with that? Like, like, if you're after this sag, this all this ship, you ain't got shipped for hip hop, you boil and bust your legs. I would love I would love to agree with you, But

it's only just about getting fucking insurance, period. As a human being individually. And I'm saying, because motherfucker's be dying and leaving their family with the bill, you know what I'm saying, that ship like that when they could just get life insurance, and life insurance is available for anybody and it don't cost that much. It's true, but you're part of a legendary group. You're gonna get money for

the rest of your life. What about people who dedicated their life to the game and can't get another dollar out this game, but they spent every dollar they gets. Give an example, give an example, because like like because you could have or like a school bating, like a sporty d like a schoolball, like a cool hurt like coolhrioneers, and like if cool HRC is sit that was how That's originally how even jay Z was a part of

that movement. I think originally what is that that cool Hurricane and Africa if I'm bought and all of them should have some kind of Yeah, man, if you're a sports agent and you get fucked up, there's something to protect you. Right now if you portray hit your motherfucker. If you're a sports agent, did you make it bread,

did get health insurance and life insurance. Right, you know what I'm saying, if you're in the hood, if you fucking stupid enough not to get medicaid and you fucking just stupid enough not to get me, but you don't feel like people who dedicated it, like at the end of the talking about rappings, and I think when you said, that's perfect exam when they made it. Of course, there's not an organization for people to put their money in fishing,

at the very least for hip hop. But at the same time, when you do make money, you shouldn't just spend it on jervy and cars and all of this ship and expect me to feel sorry for you ten years later. Is that Is that the culture's responsibility too, because we're teaching that too. It's not the coach, is

your responsibility the person. But if the culture is teaching that to the youth that doesn't know any better than they grow up in that, I'm just it's just not really teaching that because they're not even like we shouldn't be like boxing, Like you know, in boxing, there's no whole's barre. You just get your money and that's it. But every other sport they have like you know, unions and they have ship like hip hop shouldn't be like that.

But if we're not do a movie, I signed up these motherfucker's pay me for as long as this movie is being paid play you know what I'm saying, Like that ship is real ship, like like why hip hop can't do that? So and then we have a union where we we take a percentage out and the union is definitely that's okay. He gets some real shit into the union. There's five hundred thousand dollars and none of us got to come out of our pocket because we've

been paying. Okay, who are you gonna try? But think about think about it, Think about it, but think about it, but think about it. What about when you start running into lazy rappers that's no, no, you gotta pay you, you gotta pay into it. Qualified like yeah, okay, all right, so you're not gonna hand th hip hop is hip hop? Wellfare I mean it's like sack when he said sack

that made sense. I don't understand. Wait, hip hop weipa because it would become like welfare because somebody like I'm a rapper just to get benefits, But I got that work. You gotta put it. It's like it's like as it's like a pension. You gottas like show your work. Yeah, like you know how you like public Like like if you work for it's a pension, you get a pension at the end of your job. Correct, Like if you work for somewhere a pension a picture. I'm like, oh no,

a pension. Nobody know what I'm talking about. You work over to get Yeah, but I know that I watched The King of Queens and King Queens don't he gets a pension at the end of this ship. He worked for ups and that's what happens in real life. But but but you know what does why we can't we get a priendship? It's not realistic because there's too many fucking rappers. No, but I'm saying, you gotta put it

in that. You gotta put it in your work, and you gotta buy into But what's work, you gotta buy into it though you doin't make your money, you ain't gonna buy into ship. That's what I'm saying. And like publishing, if your if your record ain't doing nothing, publish ain't gonna pay. So we have system. How about when you make money, just buy yourself some healthcare, that's yeah. But but what I'm saying is, what about the niggas like God blessed, like like O D B or d M.

They ain't going to get no healthcare have it? Those are my niggs that were here before it got to where it got, Like a cool Hurt. Do you not think that maybe someone like a cool Hurt start something back from the culture. Do we deserve something back from the culture, of course, being that the culture was built on his back. Definitely, definitely. But he's there before an infrastructure, before the infrastructure, before industry was invested in hip hop,

before anybody even believed in hip hop as a viable means. Yeah, but if you get somewhere with you know what I'm saying, before the infrastructure, then you know, what can I say? What can I say? But anyway, let's get onto that. Just I'm sorry I was getting political because that's something that really close to my heart. It's like if you put in twenty years of work, anybody put in twenty years of work, and you know, some people not know

how to reinvent themselves. Some people don't know how to produce beats, some people don't know how to do a podcast. Some people don't know how to DJ. You know what I'm saying. What happens like you know, um, you look at the NBA. These guys stop stop playing for the NBA, and they have options like as a rapper, why can't we retire and say I put it in that work, I paid my insurance, I want my insurance back, and you get it. You you get a nice slump something.

You get to go to Barbados and chase beyond their work. Before that would happen, he says, you can't just be because you know what it happened. You can't be Joe Small. This is what it happened. When you start thinking like that, when you go okay, when you can come in rapper, you join it to this thing and then you're gonna get healthcare. It's just gonna drive the prices down when you're going to perform. If you was gonna get paid five thousand dollars, now you're only gonna get paid to

WUNDR dollars. If everybody is getting into this system. So it's a capitalistic market. You understand what I'm saying. And it's a free market. You understand what I'm saying, so, if you want to put restrictions on it and regulations, then cool. But next time you go to Russia or Switzerland to do the show, they're only going to give you two hundred dollars. No, that's what's gonna happen if you make it assist. I don't see how that would happen,

though it will happen if it's a system. If he's saying something that we took cha to a whole like this, like it different. I don't want another drink because like you see Dash, like Dash, like Dash did all these amazing records, and his that's retirement is his but ship, yeah, it's royalty check. But like it, like you did this publishing. You got to be crazy like this and and this is thing about it. You're blessed. There's people who is

not right. Whose faults I don't know. I'm asking. No, I don't think it should be calm over what I'm the concept. The concept sounds good, but once you do the concept, it's gonna drive prices down for the rest of the people that's trying to get paid. And it's not gonna be a free market. No, this is right. They're getting paid less, but we uh rely on publishing. You understand what I'm saying. So I don't give a funk with you give me a friend because I'm not sing,

I'm living and got my house. I don't. I don't care what you give. Give me seventy five center the publisher. I'm more happier with that because that's gonna last longer and then my kids could get that, because this is for my kids. Now, you know what I'm saying, in turn is doing what we're talking about in the sex pretty much but not directly. You understand what I'm saying. But it's a good concept. Hip hop insurance and this that in the third but it had just drive prices

down and people away from the business. Okay, let's get back dump right now. I'll tell you my favorite. I'm having that that girlhood Yeah to the Crescent. Listen, um. Then I tell you my favorite have a rhyme and I ever say that just now I'm trying. Let's go. Let's go on the on the infamous album. You said, I keep it real packed still like my niked y. Come on, say the rhyme with going the food, try

to play me wear them up. Then I'm swazy forever forever while then come on, you don't know your ship. Come on, you don't do that. That's my favorite rhin ever did forever while then this Alba living up in the bridge. You must hit skin coat, hit the nigger like a big twenty five nine kids getting life forever burning in hell Na trife of stuff. Send me all

you can bring it on, yo, I'm pulling out. Stop the nigga is just like a pall though I'm said tomorrow, roll go past me, click get I want the bullshit that side. I was raisy, slept with little stage. I have a crime of death. Plays in pulls to the alcohol walk before you crawl. I'm mending this to win this. You gonna take full the infamous queens if you want to see get creeping on those capt sleeping and then never do that. I'm rolling with two massive plus my

crew backs mavy move, I choose give blues. I'm open off the daily. A baby or gets frayed with the sleeper because I'm my brother's keeper, the Grand Reaper, rolling with nothing but big battist and big heaters, blowing a three times leave you mark like Adidas chicken. How to fit you. Pretty boy needs friend. Hard is the issue word to my arm boy, you get folded, old and molded when I get bet you every rhyme, it's the truth that the must get cross put right on your back.

Take it to the sauce isn't and I can't get up the select lifestyle before the first side. Get that wrong, Wow, before the first side too. You know how to do violate motherfucka. See you with the lynden. It's the start up if you and setting it again and again. Yo. That that rhyme is so powerful that when I met y g all right, I met the said he I'm in it for two seconds. He said a little bit up. Whatever you want, whatever I said you like, Yo, Listen, man,

I'm gonna be honest. Man. I hated these rooms about us because if there wasn't no mob deep, there wouldn't have been no CNN. And if we never said that, I'm gonna say it in front your face. I'm gonna say the front of everybody. We you paved the way for us. Now I's paved the way for y'all. Y'all paved the way for us. And this is how life is supposed to be. We're supposed to get money for the rest of our life and be old niggas and drinking Tito's vodka. Goddamn podcasts, getting drinks from a chick

name a man dog. Ship is live. That's not too bad, you know what I'm saying. Happens too bad. We can't complain right now. I can't complain. But yo, man, yeah that ship. You know, you got your new album and we've totally forgotten. Come on, ye right even take the whole time. Let me do a commercial right now. I just got a first week album. This is one of the man was that you grind it out for a lot of weeks here. And it's called The Solid Partner, you know what I mean. And it's produced by the

Alchemists and stuff like that, the whole holding, the whole project. Yeah, he did the whole If you look at it, look like a jazz album. JA. But you know I'm good, fun baby girl. We have Alchemist. I'm having one. We're not gonna have leader than We're not to have it leave yet yet. Albums you heard it, Thank you, thank you, thank you. Now Now what's left, that's what's left for you? Like, man,

there's so much it's so much going on. I just wrote a screenplay, you know what I'm saying, entitled Black Sheep. You know what I'm saying. The movie that I'm about to put out roughly, it's it's it's about a black kid that was raised by a Mexican family. You know what I'm saying. Since he was a tie West Coast I told you this thing. He went to artist. It's just art designed, and you gotta you gotta be rich

or smart to go to art design. Me living in Cali, me living in Calli and just being out there and just checking it out. You know what I'm saying. That so good. But my next movie is called Killer Black. It was just more straightfro it. You know what I'm saying. Brother, right, Yeah, it's gonna be my brother. He was. He was. He was the realest thing, Like you do my brother. He was a great guy, you know, and I you know, imagine, you know that's my brother and he's not here right now.

So I got a movie loosely based on him that I wrote. And it's not just bullshit like you know, hood flicks or whatever. Let's get it. Did you did you agree with Prodigies book like let's just like read no, no, no, no, I'm gonna be honest with you, and I'm gonna say it again. Um. I didn't read it, and the little things that I did read, I didn't agree with it, but I was expected it because that was his story. You know, that was his point of view. So I

was like, okay, cool. And you know, me and Prodigy is around each other four seven, seven days a week. You know what I'm saying. So you know his life is yours your life, right, So would you ever write a book like that? And like what I like? Because I assume if I would have wrote a book like that, I would have wrote it. But now that he wrote a book like that, I won't write one. So you write a movie, you write the movie. You know, it's whatever.

Your brother, your brother is a queen's legend, not only a queen's bridge leathern. He was like one of the realists. Of the realists said that's your older brother or your younger brother. He's my younger brother, he's my little brother, your little brother. Why I'm God blessed man, God bless you my brother. But yeah, you know, so, uh, my lad. The next screen player that I wrote it's called you know, Killer Black, and it's loosely based on my brother stud

you know you brother before. It's not gonna be like a shooting the mat, shoot him up, bang bang type of film, but it's gonna really get inside the depths of you know, my career, the ship like that, you know what I mean. It was going on no no, no block. I'm just saying. Your block was was how much time? How much time we got love? We don't getting whatever we want because my fucking bladders about the But everybody got to this is the way we kind

of maybe we don't. Yeah, how much we could do like five more minutes and come back, yeah yeah, yeah, but yeah smoke him over. Yeah yeah, we can do like five came minutes. It's a beautiful day. It's a beautiful thing. I knew that. I learned that from vol I was. I learned that from and we're thought about years ago Charlemagne. So Charlemagne told me. He said he came on our ship and he said, yo, see, I can't say no to y'all be because y'all to drink

champs and y'all actually have drinks and breakfast. He said, the breakfast club never have breakfast. I was like, oh, the concept we've had forever breast and sleep. Yeah, just out the ground and we take it. We all know. That's who thought that, both of us with this is a conceptual drink did me and listening? I used to hang out, right, this is how the drink champs. In my mind, he got a totally different story, and it's

fucking great. I have a different story. No, I'm just in my mind because in my mind, we used to We used to hang out. I used to be calling. He had a studio. I used to be called, and he used to play poker. If if you would call records and play poker, it's pretty much like the same time, Like it's long, it's happen right. So he would be out there with a big gas bottle of a card. He look, this one had this religiously, and I'll be out there with a big gas bottle or like either

I was drinking san No, it wasn't a rock back then. No, we're drinking something different. Great, great, yeah, great goose and you lived in Candle too, and he loves good stick up. The people can do man. Credit you came down south and you've left. No, no, love, but we won't give KINDO give kids love. Let's your kid do love kids. It's South Miami. It's real south. It's like Long Island of Miami's not really like a little bit. They even got homestead story. You were telling them how we how

we started drinking champs. Oh yeah your story. Yeah. So you would drink the Baccardi. I would drink the Great Goose. And then we were both finished. So we both felt like, oh that all right, a champion champ. And then we initiated statics selector first, No, no, but you're going wait ahead of the st mad friends, get them drinks Netflix friends, Oh, mad friends, okay, because we have mad people are in the studio and they all trying to drink with us.

So you had cats trying older cats they can't hang and I don't do her no more. And one of the niggas pissed in the cool I remember, Yes, we had study piste in the cool. Long story short, a lot of drinking, and then we were just saying, either you're a dream champ or you're not a dream champ. So then he made a song about it while he was there, The Dream Champion Alchemist. When when did you make. This was an alchemist b alchemist alchemist and then we

had to change it. Alchemist Soldier didn't come and get it having me, which we can not gonna having last album. You're not gonna have it. Listen once. Once you say I don't drink Champ is a contract. You can have it for three times ten. I want to make something very very very very very very very clear. We're recording, by the way, so let's go. Raving has always been a genuine dude, genuine person to me. Me and Prodigy has always been a genuine, genuine love. I wanted to

put this rumor to rest. There's no beef with Seeing and mall deep cost. We had misunderstandings, but it is not beef. We can get money together. He stood here, when everybody take a piss most of the time, uh no, no, no, Fat Joe started it off, well I'm taking a piss, and we kept it going. We kept it going. But usually that's an r Q to be like it's over, that's done. I want to thank you for making that. You'll just recently celebrated twenty years or the infamous album.

That album changed my life. I don't give a funk even when I was beefing with P whatever. That's my man. I love him. I love him. I wouldn't if it wasn't for that album, I wouldn't be here. Let me cut you off real quick. I was. I was just driving in the cub with my home but and I was just telling them, like, you know, the little bullshit that uh P and whatever know he had. I said, Yo, that ship is like laughable because I seen them. Niggas is mad cool. Yes, you know behind the scenes, the

mad cool whatever. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you for let's clearing the sea and people, motors and people will be here next yes, yes, your prodigy wherever you want to. You know, I got Pete drunk in my studio one night. He he fell out to ask nature. I swear to god, I was like, yo, we didn't know what to do. Give him more drinks and can't do that, Like this is more deep, we can't do that. And then and then the nigga woke up and just

wrote his rhyme. He's still on the floor, wrote is crazy, my nigga prodigy. We love you, my nigga. Please just put this room with the arrest. You know what I'm saying, like we should go out here and get money. We are oldest and plus when older niggas is beef and we look corny, you know that, right, like older niggas con when yeah, yeah, we don't want to do that. Man. Man, I want to thank you so much and I want to like really just throw it out there that you

know we really got genuine love for each other. Like you ain't asked to change up nothing. You knew what what what it was gonna be. You came, and I really appreciate this. Your album is out. Let's let's pick that up once more time. Um, the Summer part the Silent Partners real quick, you want to say the solent partner because you know what I'm saying. Um, in Mob Deep, you know what I'm saying. You know that you know who's the most vocal one in Mob Deep, and that

would be Prodigy. And know everybody always look at me like I'm the person that make the beats. Yes I do make the beats, but but I do spit to at the same time. And you hold you know what I'm saying, and my ship and this is this is like yo, you know when I leave out of here, you could throw this in the garbage whatever. You're crazy we hit it was gonna occur. I didn't you out of smoke with Yeah, no, no, I ain't gonna lieas

been the biggest drinker in the world. You remember, I came out here for my birthday and you just signed the COMMUNI oh, you just signed the g UNI. I told you don't like you. I was like, yea, what the fund did you woke me into? Like what what you happened? I aligned you up? Keep it? No, no, no, no, I didn't think you lined me up. But I thought you thought that you was the type of person they could brink. Yeah, no, I was. I forgot I live in Miami. In fact, you arrived. You just signed the gnute.

Let's keep it. What I told you. Don't talk to this. He's like, he's not told you. It's happy. I gotta gotta you, my nigger. I love you. Know you can't. You ain't listen listen? No, no, wasn't. It was so Be the club, but so Be live I was. It was your birthday. It was my birthday. Invite. You went into my career. Let's make some noise for having come into my career. So listen, I'm your man. You didn't trust me that night a little bit because I told you not to talk to Fat Joe. But as a

real nigger, I got to do that. Yo. I still don't do it. The weekend niggas got knobs. I told you, they looked like, this is what happened. This is me. I got having out here and we wild me having a great time this party. I remember that. So I didn't invite Fat Joe. But Fat Joe was my brother. I didn't think of the just side you and it so but so much. Fat Joe walked in. He was like, yo, is that who I think it is? And I was like, yo, that's mymm that's my brother. He was with me, so

he's like he's good. But I didn't feel comfortable. I said, have don't talk to that. And I was by myself. No, I was by myself. No, you were with me, nigger. You wouldn't by yourself. I was no. I was running around my birthday. But I told you, I said, have don't say nothing this nigga, just chill. He ain't gonna do not. But you you went over there. It was like, well, it was like tim Puerto Ricans like, good, we're gonna

kill you. They were gonna kill you and Puerto Rican they were my sons plus two times and they was gonna kill you. When I was there, listen the New York tell you because they were looking at me like this, No the New York New York video. Remember you just signed the g unit as well. What he was it was rules. He was out of line. Don't having you was there and yours. I almost killed these niggs. These niggas start floating on you. I said, you crazy, think

like you left for me that day. You don't remember, and you came to the you came to my studio. This is a fact. And then that that day and so be luve. I told you not and then it was great, But yeah, you got too much hard havoc. That was too much part of weeken. Nigga was gonna kill you in there. You did you have me? You was with me? He was good. Look yeah, but what you from what you saw right? You showed him what over there I've seen Joe. I was like, you know

what I'm saying. You know he did with his people's and then niggas was like this they was. I started walking towards fat Joe. They was like this, like you don't do it like listen. I was on the other side. I forget what it was. I took a picture and I looked and I was like, y'all know read like you know when you wasn't listen through that. But it was funny yourself because you got mad havoc and you

know what, people need to start recognizing that. People needed to start recognizing that you flew out here for to come see the Dream Champs on your own dime. You came here and you you you you, you talked about everything you didn't tell me now where Christians and I would just really want to appreciate you guys having twenty years of a classic motherfucking album. If the album singlehandedly

was it changed, it changed hip hop. But you made a beat for the Prodect really appreciate your contributions to hip hop. I really appreciate your contributions to my career because I want to keep giving it up to you and Prodigy because you know, a lot of people get misconfused, like you know, I like to be funny, you know, and whatever, whatever, But like if it I seriously say that if it wasn't for y'all, it wouldn't have been

a us. You understand what I'm saying, and think about it like prodigy, like like his his origin being from Left Frack or being a ship affiliated and left frac. It was like we was the second coming of y'all. You know what I'm saying. So I got I got nothing. And you worked on the war report? Yes, yes I didn't, Yes, you worked on the wards for how how was it working on the war report? We're going on on twenty years next year? Paro was a genius, and I want

you to answer the proper viol this question. But when I knew he was a genius, this is how I knew you was ill. Every beat I ever did for you in the beginning, like the original beat was it? But then you went back and did three different more versions right like you this day to this day still do that. This Nick is a genus. We beat machine you used mostly right in the machine, but before were using instruments back in those days, back in the days with the NBC. No sometimes you do that, give me

three different beat him lately. Machine. You don't have the right because we didn't know what we might have it were in Miami. You never know, we don't even know what that is, only dark skin. Listen, you don't think I Miami son, don't get trying to be you don't get good. I'm bad not been. No, No, that's that New York when you come from New York, fresh from

New York. But y'all just if you're from's on an overseas tour, you've been get a lot of money later, happy yap, yapping on to this whole year that we can I hap Smith and Weston. I'll take that personal like I was. I couldn't. We wouldn't have to like I mean, those are my niggers, but we would have had a better toy. Were you heard that. I'm glad you didn't come. It was well because niggas were snatching up my buges. So I was like, na happen you've

been getting especially campone yea compone? Yeah y'all yeah, is that a twelve street thing? Did that start from kindergarten? Or like when did that start? Like Dawston nigg is like like like yeah, what does that start? Like y'all think y'all think it's been knocking things down like back in the day, like not recently, not recently under the effort excuse me, excuse me? No, no, no, what I'm saying that a girl? Oh, let's make some noise for having having a girl. We don't believe. Are you gonna

take another hit? Three is my lucky number? You take two more? I'm like, we had cares. Whatever the funk? That is that guy? When the last time you smo? I feel like I got a snell? This is the last time that is? I feel like I got a snail? This? This is that ship? Is that ships? Nettle bomb? When the last time are you smoke? Just now? But before this? That's truth five nutes ago? Oh wow, I really like man, I didn't arrest one. He slipped. He was like, yeah,

you can't, you can't. Yeah, I do the him all the time. It was like, yeah, I'm like, what did you listen? Listen, I want to just throw this out and throw us in. You're officially a drink chap. You know, I ain't gonna lie having There's nobody who drinks like you. I was in SV but one night you jumped on the motherfucking's stage. He was kicking in all types of crazy. I look at it, and you know, having is little but that nigga heart as much. That's as hard as

the size of the empire state. Bro then my nigga, because I'm gonna be honest, Like if you would have told me to do the podcast, your podcast, I might have been like nah, like I don't know, Like like I don't know. You came out, you flew out, and you came into line comfortable. He's mad. He comfortable because he you know why, because he don't pay don't hang it, he don't You don't pay attention a of the internet because the Internet will have you believe in some ship.

The Internet will make create some fake dramas and then you start believing the drama. But you're like you, I think I do gotta beat for this nigger, like you know what I'm saying. Because it's the end of it with with with bozos. But I want to thank you again for coming through, stepping through. But let's get this money. And he heard about this toll. Let's speak about this tour. That's the train, that train I used to run trains on Toil Street back in there. It's not that time

with train yo. I ain't gonna live yo. Let me tell yourself during that infamous album. Y'all made me want to rap like I had doubted. I had doubted myself. You know what I'm saying. Yeah, I had doubted myself. Then I hung out with Twins and that's hung out with I went to the Polady. This is one of my favorite Queen's Beast stories with Nas had came, Nas had the Gold Lexus and Twins. I was Twins. Guess I wasn't Capone. I only think you know Capone was home, but think was on the run. He had shot a

dude called Pat Post. Do you remember this? It's my memory good. So I even got more stories to it, but go ahead, but listen. So this is my what's my favorite Queen's Bridge moment. Y'all had a show at the Palladium and it was like nine hundred niggas outside the train bear and then Nas drove through. He had drove through in the gold Lexus that was like his

first car, and everybody opened up. That's nice. Drove through and then Nigger was smoking on the blunt and he just said Queens and it was like, damn, we need people with Joe. I can't tell you like this ship like the Mellion Man, March to me, my nigga, Like, I was like, that was my favorite queen. It was that the mar Deep show at the Palladium, and yo, I would never forget that for as long as I lived. That he really was, like, I don't even he came I don't even think he came in the club that

this night. I think he just came in. It was like y'all niggas, because I don't y'all did perform like five songs and then y'all niggas beat somebody up and ship. Yeah, like it was like pretty much like that like that, and then I was like, yo, you know what, I'm bringing my whole hood out like when I do that, and y'all, y'all was my inspiration. How much fussy did you have? How many times he just takes it back then? How much? Yeah? Man, not a lot man. You know, No,

I'm an immate. I swear I'm an imagi man. Nobody believes you have it not. He was knocking things down, singers and all that. He was giving out for beats. Always. I always was a man, you know. I always was there ever a tour, allowed tour with pun alcoholics and y'all. It probably was. I do remember being you just don't remember. You're a d M ship right now? Nah? But you know what dope um? Yeah, we used to be on on the road with a pun a lot Um. Who

else was it? It was MP, Alcoholics MP. They wasn't really around at that time. That was like kind of early after that wasn't being a loud because Loud was like the label at that time, like the Street. I never, I never, I never looked at Loud like that. But they came up with like some kind of documentary that when you said you don't you didn't look at them like that? What do you mean by no? I never looked at Loud as like some kind of like no, but I but I, but I big, like you know

what I'm saying. But when we got there, it was just in its infancy. So when we got there, what word did you just say? But I mean, and I was looking back, they think the artists that they chose labelies don't even do that today Alcoholics. When I think about it now, when I think back, I kind of like regret taking it for granted, Like but I didn't know like what we was around because we had Woo Team and mal D. Then poem was dead, So it was just really something that was like, was there a

certain anar at Loud that was picking artists inside? Steve was Steve not that I know because once we got there, how did you get allow because Maddie Ce and Scott Tree and Scott fantasy O, Yeah he was onside Loud was Loud was a Cubic when we first got there and they said, yeah, we got these artists ko Wu Tang and I remember bringing it home and listening to it, and I was like, you know, because you know, I'm on my own ships like whatever, you know what I'm saying.

But then like the next three months, niggs in my whole hood was playing. They didn't even know that I was in the office building of the people that funk with these niggas. And then my whole hood is playing woting and I'm looking at these niggas like, oh, ship, I could go back to the office and give him, you know what I'm saying him a little bit of differ like what they like. They gave me the c D. I didn't know what to do with it, and then I just put it to the side. But then the

whole hood started going crazy my own hood. I was like, I was like you like that. I was like, I know these niggas like you know what I'm saying that on their own at first, and then Loud came no, no, no, no, no no. We made it. Loud gave us the budget, and then we did it. And then we just gave louds hurting the run with you know what I'm saying. They was like, okay, this is here, and he just like yeah, and we took a chance. But that wasn't the first Shook Ones. It was a shop too, right.

It was. It was one that you never hit, you know what I'm saying. And then when we basically the remix, right, so when we put out the first Shook Ones, we put it out and then uh, nobody liked it. Nobody, No, it's a different it was a different beat. So people was like, no, nobody liked it. They was like, so, um, what's up? And y'all was on Loud at that time, right, and there was like what's up? So like, we gave you a second shot, So I was like, I fuck it. I was and then I just I made the Shook

once that you hit, So I made it. And then the project Stole and then I made it and then they was listening and then they was like they was like okay, and then they liked it personally, so they pushed it. And then you remember performing that how can I be down at Luke's Club? Of course I was. I was listening. I was like in Atlanta, not not here in Miami Blue Club in Miami, how can I be Downard always said, don't test him. He remembers everything.

He got a tennis hipp dinosaur from teen forty three Cubs Blue Club. That's too late. He just had the juven I believe, I believe you. But we did a lot. We did a lot of like you know what I'm saying, Like he was with you don't even know the juvenile Hell tape. Right, of course you gotta believe that if you gotta do believe you don't. I don't how much how much ship did y'all do when you first came out? You I gotta blur, doesn't even know I gotta blur,

like yeah, like blur. I was doing drugs, Ecstacy, I want to represent the DJ and then but then but then I liked it Molly for a little while too. I'm gonna keep it on, keep it on. I know, a little while, a little while, a little sometimes I still be a little. He came mind, he didn't know what exc was, and then it was and then it was a round. I was mon went into space. Yeah that's six months more real drug abuse. How new is the fact? How new? I was like, I was like

print something. But he thought it together. He was like, hey, yeah, I was going home. It wasn't it was gold Rush. Was going to gold Rush twenty four hours, nigger. I was going there and get pancakes and Latin. It's still over its class. You know, you can't, you can't, you can't you get out. But I said, I just able to call on the morning. Already, it's all going already, it's old already, pay story. Thank you for throwing it out. Hello, Hello,

you've been in Florida. He's been forever. No, no, no, I'm asking him. Yeah, foul, I've been. I've been a faulty years. But people the lowest don't know what that. Yeah, the numbers, this is, yeah, this is real. Ship doesn't because it hold on, hold on, how many years you be in Florida. I don't think I'm like a tennish tennish tennis tish because two of them like like I think I've been I think I've been more than ten. But I still had cribs in New York at that time,

so I can't really but that don't count. Yeah, that don't count. But when I flew out here, so I'm like eight, I'm like eight strong years and he came religiously for me. Yeah. So when you go like this, like yo, around my way you talk about Florida, right, I ain't gonna. I've adapted that sometimes around I don't have around Listen, there's no around, like, there's no like blocks out here unless you're like over town. It is like people hang out and like crabs out here, like

see see how are you from? When we're from You got on twelfth Street and you hang out on ninety seven. Hoods is different, Like the hoods is different in Miami. Yeah, southern hood. What's the Southern hood? What's the Southern Its hood does little? They kill your fasts out here, that kill your fat, Miami Miami to kill your fast. To listen and listen, you know who I want to pick up? Man? I know it is very awkward, but I want to

big up Kodak Black. The reason why I want to big up quote that fact because I gotta switch up my years. My years are living in Miami and my years are living in Browway. I also lived in Broward, and I've always been You never repped Brower. You know you're repping you about Brown. I was on parole and Brown you're talking about. Excuse what's the difference? Damn you I don't even listen to So who's the producer you would want to work h Quincy Jones? Well, then you would want to rhyme over their beats, over their beat, Quincy Jones, Michael Jackson. If I went to Quinzy Jones, right, If I went to him one day, I said, Quincy Jones, you know what I'm saying, I'm gonna make an album.

He'd be like, yeah, we could do it. He'd be like, yeah, if we could do it. Look what I did for Minchael Jackson. And this is how we're gonna do it, and we're gonna make an off the Wall. If he told me I'm going to make an off the Wall, then I'm gonna agree with him because I know that he did make an off the Wall. You understand what I'm saying, Like, listen to Off the Wall.
