d J e f N? And it's Drink Chas motherfucking podcast? Made something right now and right now when we talk about hip hop royalty, when we talk about a person who stood this test of times, talking about the person who faced the jail and adversity in the streets and everything and stood here and still here right now relevant
has a beautiful family. UH promotest that a person that is still at the test of time has just dropped the autum today, got Darren today, got damn it and has and and I listened to this ship all the morning. And you know when when people drop music and they come here, I want to listen to it, and I want to hurry up. I didn't want to hurry up at all. I didn't want to hurry up at all. I wanted to take my time. And then he got James Chappelle narrating the whole not gonna mean, not gonna mean.
God he was smart because even if you want to fast forward, you bet you better not fast forward your mouth. And if you don't know what I'm talking about, motherfucking came to the South the track king himself. Motherfucking tis in the building. Man, you can can you? It's do like that in the house. Kids appreciate that. To be honest, I'm so proud of you because I've seen the beginning,
you know what I'm saying. I was a guy who got to be out before you, and I got a chance, and I got to I got to see people come out and come and go, come and go, come and go, and and a lot of people have been. Uh, I've been through the diversities you've been through, haven't been, And you're still here. And when I listened to this album, I wanted to see I really wanted to hear you not being hungry like I really like, like I just
because I know the blessed life that we live. And you could have short changed you could have you could have said, you know what, i'most every bar like you were serious about this. Actually before you answer that, this is called dime track, right, because you know, you know, like my Spanish actually made me say d mad track. You don't go d MA track because because you gotta
mill and y'all. So okay, let's just let's just take it from the from the beginning, right, because I know we had doing our Dream Champs a couple of other times, so we're gonna we're gonna focus on this album because we're gonna do on this one. So what made it even made you want to do dime trap? Um, well, it's my tenth album, damn, you know what I'm saying.
And I didn't think of that. And uh, and trap music, man, you know, that's that's the lifestyle that we have showcase to the world that has become so prevalent to the day. It's actually the fifteenth anniversary of of trap music August nineteen. Thank you, Thank you for congratulations to YouTube. Uh. And so I wanted to do something that was commemorative to trap music, like the evolution of trap music, and that's
why I came up with them. So you go in and one of the one of the standout tracks, which I would have thought, um, was going to be the single, and then I turned out a click on today and it is the video. Um, what is it? Boiling in the race? Yeah? Race? Yeah, Broke Nias is gonna go crazy. Man, that's what it's fun. Man. You know what I'm saying. It's a it's an ambitious, like a celebratory record, you know what I'm saying, something that you can you can strive towards and and you can aspire to to to
achieve that goal. I think every dope boy in America you can ride at the rath and go ahead your way and do what you wanna do. Man. You you live in you know what I mean. So I just I just wanted that record to represent that to the people. And you broke your gutty along. Yeah, the first time you'll worked there worked again. Man. We didn't work back and forth together on a few things, but it's the first time you didn't want the matter. Yeah, Now, how
was that? Man? It was? It was amazing, man, guy is the homie and he's a actually somebody who I got who I can set it like one of my little bros. And you as an old g out here, I mean, you got damn it. Hold on, we're gonna toast to ut. Goddamnit, you out here. I want. I was looking for the step up and I said, you ain't gonna step up ship, like what the fund did make you? Like? Like man, I'm man, I'm a The
quest to be dope still is that. That's why I wake up in the morning, wake up, you know, brush my teeth, get fresh, and go do some dope ship Like that's that's you know, that's what get me out of bed. Everybody you're doing it when you're inspired by the albums that came up to someone, because I think it's like I was already got them, like pretty like I leave deep in mind. But then I don't really I don't allow myself to be I don't allow myself to be uh encumbered by the thoughts of what other
artists are doing. I did do me, you know what I'm saying. I can't. I can't get wrapped up in what nobody else doing because whatever they're doing that's Taylor made for them, you know what I mean what I'm doing, it's gonna be Taylor made for me. Right now? Does Dave Chappelle come upart of this? Because um again I seen thee I actually seen the instagram you guys talking, and then I thought there was one skit and then
I've seen another Instagram or you guys talking. Then I listened to the album and I was like, that is genius what you did you just because like that's two Greeks coming together. And although this is your album, it's still like it's still like if you love Dave Chappelle, you're gonna I mean absolutely, he the homie man have to do that. No, yeah, no, I ain't have to do This is a million other things we we like.
We always get together, man, whether you know, I go to his show if he's in town, or he comes to one of my shows if I'm in town or whatever. But after the show, we always had the epic monumental like these whimsical evenings, you know what I'm saying. So, uh, during one of these evenings, I just played the album for him, and the next morning, uh, days and confused and a drunken stupid. I wake up and see that he had texted me saying, yo, that the ship you
were playing was dope. So that's when I shot my shot, like, well, yo, you hadn't planned. Okay, when we get together and see we can come up with And then he was like, man, I'm coming to Atlanta, you know. And he came and we got in the studio and really just effortlessly knocked some ship out. Now on one of the tracks, you said, one of the coldest ship I ever heard. You said, one of one of these dudes, this something to one of your partners or something you thought about ellen the
nigga out just to get him. I'm not gonna lie. I had never heard of no ship like that. I ain't gonna lie. It's some cold ship. I was sitting there this morning listening to that. I said, there and I had to think about that one. I said, hold long. The nigga said he's gonna bell amount. That's smart. I ain't never I ain't gonna front. You're a different type of smartness. But I thought, like that even comes to
your mind? Is that a real situation? On? That was like, you know, made up or we gotta move on and we Gotta move On. It's never com definitely was on the album I'm Okay. But the Weekend. The Weekend another one of my favorite joints because I first when I heard it, I thought the Weekend was on there, but then I realize that y'all were talking about the actual weekend. Uh, Swiss Beast did that is on fire right there? Man?
How did it all like working with Young Thug? Because I remember at one point, Um, Young Thugg was even criticism and I would believe you came up and say, hey, oh geez, we was We was the same at that time. And is that how you at least for the stuff you know, he's being criticized for for most of it, Um, you know, um, I mean like a little brother to me too, you know what I mean. The first record we first met each other, first record we did was
about the Money Money. Yeah, that was the very first record. Ever since then, man, we've been locked in and every time we get a chance to work together, man, we're gonna bring something very special to the table. But I did feel like everybody was criticized with You're for doing the ship to everybody else that I already did, Like you know what, I say he wore dressed. They had three thousand war dressed. You know what I'm saying. You know,
there's so many other people out there. You know, just because it's happening again in this generation doesn't mean that we get the frown upon it like this the first time we ever see in it. You know, the as of the brother used to do dress weird back in the day Parliament and the Brothers girls, remember that. Let's not forget that. I don't know, I don't know right out of its going on the sheets, and you don't know the video I've seen that other day, the Brothers
they had a nineteen part side. So um. One of the things before I get back to the album is I expected to hear a little Wayne on this album for some reason. It's not wrong or or is everything not like I mean, man, I still I still look
at Wayne as a brother. Happy I spoke since now when you spoke, when you spoke, but you know when you spoke with the love is that when we see each other, I still celebrate your success and wish you have the absolute bas um just to get a Carter file still close to Yeah, it's dope, I stoke, it's dope. I think it's extremely dope. I think he gave us
when we've been waiting for you. Do you think like like like you know, throughout the years, you've been you know, dropping Like last time you've seen you, you had dropped your clickball. You know, you constantly staying out there, but you mean the huge but constantly staying out there. Wayne had took a crazy break. You think that it was crazy as fans just stood there and waited for him,
Like that's that's a love man, You expected that. I mean, yeah, legends never dad sleeping Like I always speak to my kids about sleeping giants because you know, my kids they think they you know what I'm saying. They know what's help and what's you know, what's going on right now? And you know, we just have discussions about certain people and grown they be like man, he cold. Man, he didn't felt him. Now, bro, listen that man is a
giant and like Eminem. We had a discussion about Eminem as a matter of fact, join your kid, Yeah me, my kids, you know, like I think it run the time you drop the first one? Um, yeah, everybody, I think you know it was like man and them. Man, he you know I lost. I said, hey, listen, don't you ever fix your fucking face. This man is a motherfucker's sleeper. Jam. It's people like uh um, j uh, Wayne, myself, Kanye,
you know what I'm saying. It's just it's certain people you can't never count that, you know, no matter how outcast, you know what, people like you know, whenever they cannot drop some ship for ten years, they dropped some ship, it's gonna Stevie Wonder, Rolling Stone. You know what I'm saying, there's certain my funkers. You just got the man. You just got to understand that whenever they whenever the stars in the moon land, when they feel like giving you
their best and it and it comes, it's gonna go up. Yeah. And I just always, you know, I think it's dope. Right now. There's a lot of a lot of us. You know what I'm saying that back in that bad it seems like everyone is motivated from each other because I believe that, uh it's two thousand eighteen, correct, Um. I believe that this is one of the greatest eras of music. We're not gonna say it because we're living in it. And like it's just like you know I
was hearing you on on the album. You kept speaking about the nineties, but like as people were living in the nineties, we weren't saying, we were just saying, you know, we were living on the But I think this is one of the greatest eras of music. The only thing that, um, it's fussed up. It's how disposable music is. Meeting the person will be on the album for a week or two or three, and then the next week if you're lucky, if you're lucky, And that's the only thing about it.
But there's so much great music that came out this year. I think some of it will eventually be overlooked. That was excellent album. Absolutely, Um, Travis Scott had what I'm saying, Uh, you know you got you got so many people, man, Indeed, they thin ain't a little baby and a dope album. This year Gunners together. They actually now I would say, you know what I'm saying, they actually separate, but they did. They did a collaboration project. Okay, I'm ahold and it's you.
I don't know. You got to you got to actually get older that you know, I'll tell you some some crazy ship. You got two of my breast best breakfast club quote. Check this out. In recent years, you know, maybe maybe one or two, maybe a little longer, I started drinking beers. Like I was never a beer drinker. My girl really is the one that put me on to really like get into beers, not like just the random you know. Of course I would have a beer here and there, and when I was a teenager, That's
what I was drinking. But I'm really more into to the liquor side, the hard liquor stuff RUMs and and and the vodkas or even black on the rocks. That was my thing. But lately I've been just all up into the beer stuff. And I mean I'm talking about
like trying to be like a connoisseur of beers. And then you know, got put onto this amazing company called Hopsy, and basically they're like they make like the espresso for beer or the curig for beer, and Hopsy brings beer on tap to the comfort of your own home without the price tag. Many beer drinkers have come to expect, have your own beer bar at home with the sub
substance is the system. They got this little little device that that makes basically you got your own little your own beer on tap at the crib and um, you know, it's just it's a countertop appliance that fits neatly in your kitchen, bar or living room. Whether you're a hophead, malt mouth or a palette partier, basically you're a connoisseur of beers. You're you're into all these different kinds of beers.
You're seeking different kinds of beers. You can enjoy a variety of beers house from big and small breweries which rotates monthly. Even I PA and you know I PAI is a big thing. Now I'm not personally in I P a d Hopsy partners with a long list of breweries and ships mini kegs that's write many kegs to your home or office. I mean this this is actually really dope, man, Like you get this this little subsystem
with these little kegs. Imagine this in the crib and you just you know, pouring fresh you know, crisp beer man, and you I mean, I don't know, I think this is right up. Drink Champs Ali and right now, actually they got a really good deal for the drink Champs Army. You try Hopsy dot com forward slash drink, So you gotta try Hopsy that's h O p s y dot com forward slash drink, and you have to enter the

So remember try Hopsy that's h O p s y dot com forward slash drink, and then you enter the promo code drink d r I n K, and you're gonna get the little sub home tap telling you this this thing is is, it's ill, It's some pimped out ship you have. This little draft joint in your crib, comes with too many kegs, two Hopsy glasses, and boom you ready to go. I don't think it gets any better than that. So if you like beer, this is right up your alley. I mean I think this is
right up the drink Champs Army alley. Check it out. I'm checking it out, you know now, I'm you know, I'm a I'm a beer drinker. Now you've been seeing me on the on the show's lately, I've been just trying all kinds of different beers and and um, yeah, man, try hoopsy dot Com, Forward Slash Drink, promo code drink. Trust me you you won't regret it. This is a great company, man, I'm feeling it. I'm excited that that
they got involved with us. So check out hopsy I won when you said, uh, you said, people don't think that you can't be a trapper march. I forget what else, but it was like it was like four different things. Diversity is key diversity and we need more of that, Like we need more of a person that because at the end of the day, if even when I was growing up and the person told me to go upstairs, if he wasn't respected, I didn't listen to him telling him.
You know what I'm saying from now, the gangster tell me go stairs. I know your mom's I'm flying the up stairs and I'm going about that. When you say that, I said, yo, um, I don't think we need more of that? Do you think? Man? It's hard to say. We need more genuine me and like unapologetic about pressing their lane. You know what I'm saying, respect from me. You know, I think a lot of it's a lot
of men right now. They have a lot of physical power, but they don't have the mental discernment to distinguish when this time to actually enforce and you know, take advantage of this power. I think that's the thing we need. Discernment. We need more people who can who can estimate like it ain't worse and still in this or inflicting this amount of authority on the situation, you know what I mean. So, um, another person that when I think of trap immediately it's
jes right. And that could have easily been like a discrepancy between y'all two, Like he could have been like I'm the trap dude or you the trap dude. But y'all easily get along. I mean, man, we were brothers, you know you have we have a lot of experience in history together. You know. Um, I knew him like before he really took his his real establishes his true position, you know what I'm saying. Like, and I can say the ship did he say the real you know what
I mean? Uh? And I was when I when I when I actually met him, he was coming into a position where people he were buzz and people were hearing the name, and I knew him from a mutual acquaintance. That happens to, you know, being the lifestyle, and when I met When I met him, it kind of he he reminded me like what I would have been if I hadn't got side. You did what I'm saying, It kind of felt like, yo, man, this is the exact position you being. You know what I'm saying. So the
thing is, did you learn you should share? And you know the first thing I told him was you gotta pick a side. Why do y'all South Niggers take care of each other more than any other coast? I don't know, I ain't gonna work, and y'all spread that like like anybody. I don't know, y'all really do take I look at all like my you know what I'm saying, like my brother's you know, unless you know what I'm saying, unless that, unless that sentiment isn't reciprocated, and then even then just
live and let live, you know what I'm saying. It felt like this region musically was being suppressed for so long. People in like New York l a or whatever that finally when the South came up, and see like everybody wanted y'all all on top each other. See we got enough space has to see claimed yall we're different, but even still y'all all on top of each other. Y'all got you know what I'm saying, and we have a little more space to roam and you know, and stretch
stretch out limbs at without touching each other. Because it seems like even when y'all like bumped shoulders or whatever, y'all worked that out real fast, like even back back in the days. But you're and ludicrous like whatever it was, but it worked out real fast. And then y'all was on like a picture together like in front of our house. I mean that because it wasn't really it didn't stand from that. You know what it is with New York.
Once we have feet, it's one person who talks to one person and then we never we never hear from the other guy. We hear it from everybody else because I'll never just say, man, come in and me how let you don't know if we're gonna figure this out right now? We do it right, were right, but you're gonna look, this is table. We're gonna this is this is tagable. This is just a drink Champion edition. Look look never what is it that it's it's James saying
it's James. Don't worry. This is for you. This is for your timp album, Dime Trap. We are celebrating the King Traffic, the trap call, Dia to Night God, difference making noise. It's just horrible. It's terrible, disgusting. What they getting real something. Listen, It's how we know our guests as real because some guys would be here again, Oh that's nice and then they started sweating a little. Ain't nice at all? So okay. Also, you know what man
speaking of them? You know the anniversary of trap music. Man in Atlanta week, we opened the Trap Music Trapping Open is it Trappic Yoki no track carry We did that a few a few weeks ago, a couple of weeks ago. But now we actually opened up a museum dedicated to trap music. Yeah, God damn it, you're a tupacket is a lot like No Malaysia. The Cuban one is the one that I I would have rather heard the story without the fake photo shop. Did you see the photos that was crazy. Now the photo shot picture
made me not want to hear the story. But I just wait till they pull up on me it. Don't call me nothing to see fun. You know, I got to see it in person. Now, you and that guy like that when you get your information home, I mean, you can't help but see the confirmation, you know. But that's not my source of If I'm looking for something, you know what I'm saying, I usually cause some over what thinks more knowledgeable than me on the subject, and if they direct me to the internet. But then I
got no no, um what out? What labeled this on? This is on? It's on Grand hustle, grandhun straight up? I mean, well, you know I have I have I have a partnership with Epic. Okay, okay, yeah, I have a partnership with Epic, and uh there'd been phenomenal partners man, you know what I mean. Uh, they got in the trenches with me and you know we bet yeah have to be too. Is it on the way happened that? Yeah?
Love l A. He was the first person the same number great things to say about it, But see what your own is the person that you know what I'm saying that I'm dealing with now you being a representative, not just young black successful man, not just people from the ghetto, not just a hip hop like I just feel like you're a representative of us, like you would you have proper language? Thank you? Is this is this something positive about Donald Trump that we can say it? Like?
I mean, there can be no there can be no no positive without negative or negative without positive. You did Okay? That went over my head. Nothing that nothing is a hundred percent negative. There is something good and everything. I'll say it's the truth and that's a lot. But you know what I mean. So let listen to the album I was. I studied that game. I mean, just to be with you, to be the financial the financial game that comes from you know, programs like the opportunity zones
and tax credits for for rich people. But you know what I'm saying, it it ain't worth it ain't it ain't worth the the the payback of disrespect. What I mean, I'd rather pay the money. I'd rather, you know, to have our lives be valued and respected and to be treated fairly and equally. I'd rather just charged me for for equality. We should be able to pay equality Bill everybody know what, man, but that's to be suthing to that. You should get a grant from the cover. Can't be
equality being place. It was one thing the other day and he said we being accused of things. Yeah, he was like, we're being accused of days and we're not that work until innocent, and everyone posted and I don't know what he was talking about, like when he said you shouldn't be able to flip. Oh yeah, he should like ship man and much is agree what he said. The heretically it's been happening the few years and now
to be turn happen. Who know what a my old case started from and there forming and I had to go through mine. If I would have came and you would say, hey, man, snitches should be bad, you said, man, get the funk on your okay to be got a lot of cases to y'all. So what came the b the only yeah, the only federal okay, okay. And oh so that's thetart of formant why yeah, but oh wow, Okay, I wasn't ready. No, I wasn't ready. I was that's the one that you had like ninetine, you're done. Yeah.
It was a dude in my security. He was suggesting to me that I buy fire arms from him. Legitimately, you know, he ended up turning around trying to make my money about fouls from the A T M. And when he got caught, he said, no, he's not manso, and he brought them. He brought them to me. Now, you're one of the dudes that God accused of. Like like people tell saying that you was telling and find nine four five eight hero one nine in the Route thirty five. You know the way people people realized that
that was you were at the first way. I didn't escape away. No, no, no no, I'm talking about you got a way clean. What I'm saying, he's got a way clean. Like I'm talking about people in the streets at first, the streets because because it was false. Okay, that's what I'm saying. That's the point I'm trying to look because it will fall if I were telling, and if I told on you you was in time doing if you
was in jail during time because of me. When you call your cousins and say, hey, man, help told on me. He put me up. But why do you think in our community we are so quick to do that, Like if a person. I will say this because it was an exception, but it calls me a to me and you know what I'm saying, like people don't know that part ship. I had a three million dollar ball. You know what I'm saying. I had six lawyers charging me. W no, no, on that six five. I had five
lawyers charge you get like colder than me. That didn't happen And that wasn't it didn't. It didn't happen. You know, haphazard that that was. It was strategic. Then it was constantly I made it made it got that we a little god, no thank you, because we're not y'all to place. Did you just did you just recently get arrest in your crib? Like that was hard? Happened? Was drunk in your whole career? Okay? What what happened? What had happened? I may have had a drink. So what happened was
I don't really want to talk about. You don't want to because I ain't gonna do. You say, to tickle it in in itself. When they asked you, you said, sir, what am I being prosecuted for? I said, this is partickling in the South? Where up you gotta wait when you know what some camels with somebody you gotta get at the dog. And I heard that guy got fired. I ain't gonna do no. He's talking about the policeman that you are you speaking of the shop called I

Oh you know that's a golf course.
Community have gates and you have guards, and you know you check in when they see you, they see who you are, they let you in, so on and so forth. This particular gentleman who's sleeping when they pull up to the guard gave sleeping. So I'm on the phone FaceTime and with my old lady and I show home my FaceTime look look, see sleep. And he wake up in the middle of me and he see he caught. So now he's shot. He's been shot. And his first response is not to let me in immediately, is too uh
traject that frustration that embarrassed me on me. You know, I guess he was figuring, if I misconduct myself, it'll be more about me and less about him being to sleep. So finally we go back and forth, and then my wife called him tell him to let me, and he finally let me, and I said, now you know what, I'm gonna walk back. So I walked back and I asked him to step outside so I could speak to him a little to clear all love. He chooses not to.
They call the police. The police come there and instead of assessing the situation and finding that what's going on, that to took the question of the circumstances was to arrest me. There was a racist man didn't want to see me talking about how much money I paid for my house, and he thought that, you know, as he said on camera that I thought my ship didn't stink, and for that reason he arrested me. God damn it. And your house is like the size of the projects.
That's clean, it's fantastic. It makes some more to y'all, got damn it. Tell us you gotta go, But I want to. I want to get into one more drinking before you get about hit. Um, you feature into your hotel, let's get into that. Um. That's an important record for me because I think that it's it's very important that we remind ourselves that it's something wrong with everybody. You know, none of us are perfect, so none of us should
expect perfection from people. And being over the judgmental and hit a critical of people when you have your own conflicts and your own challenges in life that you're working through. This counterproductive, you know what I'm saying, Um, And I just you know, I just I feel like I should speak on and Tianna, you know, saying she has a she has a phenomenal way of putting the exclamation point
on the message. Actually, that's what you just said. I say, yeah, I was gonna relax, gonna relax, gotta I thought she was rushing me for the interview. My bad, my bad, my bad. Thought they was okay, okay, you know, I'm trying to be on point. I gotta respect you out here, and you've been you've been ever not another thing. This is another quote that I love what you said. You said people don't they respect come up right the fall
and to come back and come back. I think that's gonna be theme of the next album, the Rising, to come back, come back. That'sh it is crazy, Like I mean, that's when you're the underdog, they root for you. They root for you to build up you know, your your your state, your esteem and your claim and and once you've gotten too big, they start hating on you. They get tired of seeing you. They're sick of you. They wanted is that when you think you went in too much,
let somebody else eat. Then when you start hearing it, let's somebody else. And then oh, but you got all the paper you know that way you've got too big. That when you think that when you started running to the law enforcement problems, all that was separate. No, I
think I had a separate issue. I think I had a different, uh entirely separate set of problems when I was dealing with internally, I was still like I would eyebrowed deep into bullshit, you know what I'm saying, And I was living crazy and I just allowed myself to be susceptible to that type of nonsense. You have a goot how he would like, Yeah, of course I did. Let us here speaking baby, the first thing you see the worst time in the game out but of course
that time. Let's talk about what you had to do to get out of it? What? What? What make I want your parson to get out of person to get damn, that's that's a humble. That's a humble in situation. I went twice just to make sure I got just to make sure I got it all on. This is my way twice just to make sure we get all this stuff clean. That little and likes to make sure you flush that well. People don't realize how hard it is.
Like we come from the hood we're selling from We know, we know that that life leads to just two different options. Sure we start writing these words and playing with these words, and these words work and there's no book to say, how to hold your money? What do when you spend your crack? Telling us how crack being a drug deal tell us how to handle money? And the drug deal taught us and you don't trust everybody and tell but but no, but even once so it taught you how
you know, uh manufacturing, distribution, profit and loss. You know what I'm saying. You had to uh create a demand, supply that demand. You know what I'm saying. You expand you know, acquisitions, you go and you know, take over a block, mergers, you do a deal with some guys and y'all share a block. Do you know what I'm saying. All these different types of business structures we learned from
from selling crack. And I always say, man, you know, like I said, there can be no bad with with with some good is destructive and and and as horrendous as the crack error was, it showed us how to be businessman. That wouldn't have been a master p without the crap era. That was not jay Z. That mean got to do the gen z and listen, that was easy. He wouldn't have had the money to put Doctor Dre in the studio if it wasn't for selling crap. You did crack pay for that, you know what I mean?
God bless easy. But Dr dre billion now chap all right, that started from crack. That's all come on, Like a lot of that was on the good. That's good. That's what they musing me there. The museum does just that.
We focus on the positive uh message that comes from us surviving those circumstances, endure that environment, overcoming it, and taking our experiences sending it to music, you know, packaging it is philosophical presentations that the world now tunes into the same way the Mafia head they time and everybody would tuned into the Mafia Now they tuned into the cracked era, and trapped music is a direct of the crack era. So as the trap music. God, I'm just
trying to put in. You know, titles don't really impress me. God, Emperor, King, Sultan. You know, it is what it is, you know what I'm saying. I'm a contributor and I feel like, you know, I'm on the board of what happened back right there, man, do right trying to be so as a person, I just want to put something out there in I dropped the album called The War report right. And on the War Report, I had a song called laundry Matt Trap, right.
And on that record I said, laundy Matt Trap, keep the looting Irap Iraq, see the world of world, see Iraq. And I kept saying laundy Matt trap, right. I didn't mean the trap. I meant actually money. That's what we was calling the trap back then. Yeah, I feel like I should get a little bit up like this, just like a coat side. I'm gonna make sure you get down. I don't want to look. I want a little bit get I just want to be a trap in a little corner to track. You don't have to expanding. The
first nigger from New York and said trap. Now they used trap a completely different way. I don't want to act like I used it, y'all. I ain't even tripping on there. We all share this earth, to guess what I'm talking about. That's what I'm I'm gonna be a trap museum somewhere makes fixed build like a fixed museum. Pop up what you're trying to say. It's open and definitely it's open and definitely um as long as it is sustained. The budget of keeping it open from the month.
We're gonna keep it open. And it's a free museum. No looking in life worth having this free. That's right. Subscription meet your genomenal fee to get in, man, you know what I'm saying. And it's also an escape room in there. There's an escape a trap thing escape so you can get in there and get trapped. You got to actually hit a button to get out. Now you gotta thinks I want to resource what if I can't
saw these puzzles like what happens to me? I just gotta say, you get it's a situation and you said to you, you are sitting in you put in an environment and there's a situation that it's created, set of circumstances that it's created, and you gotta think your way through it. And then that prison is the like the outcome. Wow, that is all. Whenever you're in the Lanta, man, you people drink chimps and we want to come to your restaurant. At one point, man, I shut that motherfucker down. You
shut it down. Why would happened? I was losing money coming and going Okay, I'm gonna just tell you the truth. Man, motherfucker's still okay. Damn mother. Still yeah, and you also let the night was up, good food, greater badman. I designed it creatd a phenomenon, and be honest with I wouldn't. I wouldn't there watching all the money going at the back though now still on our bad list, or that they got back because up to at one point still bad. It's still bad. It's just in Atlanta's all over. I
would say, you have to affect. You know, we're strung with consumer base in the nation period. If we even move more money than anyone, don't get it funked up. We see sneakers, we see music, we see movies, we see a close, we see calls, we see uh take y. We definitely see we said champagne se vodka. We see Kanye Jewry, we see Jerry, we see every motherfucking thing,
and we own nothing. What happens if we do? What happens if t I steps up and said, I'm not drinking nothing, no more or less someone I know owns it. I'm not wearing nothing no more that someone our owns on it. What happens if you lead the way first, and then I followed, and then everyone followed. What what will be in a perfect world. I think first. In the perfect world, I think first rather than saying on.
I mean, you know you and me, we got relationship with Paul, so we drink sup you know what I mean. We got relationship with Jay. We drink as Spade and you st do say you got relationships A little special for me, I'll stay on the relationship. You know what I'm saying. Uh, I mean we go to a line ourselves with you know, the people who present products that
that we could support. Now, the most important thing to me, in addition to a landing ourselves with our brothers, is identifying though the same way we we we call that CHRISTA. That's how a space came to be because we call that CHRISTAD. They were respecting us, you know what I'm saying, And Jay said, Okay, well funck y'all. I get I'm gonna go get my own. And that's how a space
was born. But if there was no identification of the disrespect, then ASA space probably you know what I'm saying, he probably if Christie would have welcomed him over arms, he probably would be with christap you see what I'm saying. So I think we got to identify those those brands that don't respect us and choose alternatives and when they see had their profit margins are affect on a quarterly basis. But what would have African American when the African American
dollar is no longer there to pad your numbers. You don't get your quarter their bonus. But what would happen if we were really like type, like we were really all of us together, we say, February is a cool with everybody only wear a your clod aline like that.
But let's make it marge February short, Moka, okay like that, you know, okay, we were ended a little bit and we really get remember January and we just do that like and then like every month, like you know, Cypress Hills and Cypress Hills to kill a day or whatever, everybody just go out like we would really show the marketing place because because the thing about it is we are organized without being organized. This is what's organized with us.
If the partique come out for some reason, everyone is gonna find a way to have a partitque I mean neither do you know what I'm trying to say? When when everybody going right are usually good, I'm saying what I'm saying that you understand that we moved the culture and we drive That's what you call buying power, you know what I'm saying. Buying power when you when you can you can motivate or direct a certain amount of people to go buy something. You know what I mean, right,
that's buying power. So I think that we have to find a way because we have the most influential, uh consumer base in the world. All we gotta do is directed accordingly. We've just been we've been. We've been directing each other the bullshit we've been telling each other about a proteent exactly. We've been telling each other to go, you know, to go back this ship. And you know that, what if you really came out with a line, right, it would be so deal with niggers, man, I know.
But but in in retrospect and like h ither, it shouldn't be that. What I mean I mean hip hop, I don't mean breakfast. I mean someone if you're hip hop. I know some hip hop jewelers. I know a few hip hop jewelers I do, I do, But I feel, man, you know what I'm saying. If if if I am a customer and I have a certain I ain't power. He did what I'm saying, and you putting your jewel on me is just as beneficial for you as it is for me. Then you're gonna have to accredit me
some consideration you did. You ain't got the INSENTI couldn't no check, ain't no no mob. She just ain't no extortion. However, fool prices and fund you understand, I'll be damn if I pay the same thing for watch the Joe Schmoke pay come in you ask to put you up on his Instagram. You don't get nothing from that. His fifty thousand four, watch his fifty thousand from getting nothing, I should get it for thirty thousand, definitely that I can
give it to you. You know, I talk fast. I'm gonna tell him thirty because for the extra two thousand, he's gonna take tea in now and I'm gonna break him down over time. But I'm a payer. That's the important thing. So UM, I know your answer to this because I listened to the album. I listened to it tweet four maybe five times. I listened to it three times like normally because I'm like damn. Then I listened to it two more that I came here and listened to it more. Man, thank you, thank you. I know
his answer ready, but I gotta ask it. Do you ever get tired of the game? Man? I mean, I get the ship to come with the game, but I ain't tired of the game. And that's the best, as you know what I'm saying, that's the best. You gotta be a mayor song No, No, I remember for profit business, the black rifle with society that I had no political ambition, oh man, I mean I would love to affect politics in a positive way by supporting the people who I
know are the most qualified for the position. Celebrities dying to be in political positions is what's got us what we have in office right now? Yeah, we need people who are right now legit in third grade thinking about how to change the last time. Oh yeah, President. First of all, I'm on anything but agent Orange campaign, anything real wholes man. You know what? Since then, though, if
we see Dah Smith, I kind of took them serious. Listen, you know, look, man, if they actually I'm vote for them, But I mean, yes, why not, But I would vote for I'm vote for anybody but him. Right, It's to the point now, where we can't do any worse. It's anybody for him. Can you do you realize how great George Bush is looking. I'm like, you know, look, man, you don't like black people, but I'm not sure that bad.
But then what I'm trying to eight though, man like man, really man, we need people who legit are dedicating their lives to service. You understand, Like us, we're so self catuitous. You know what I mean? Sorry to you. I don't know what that means. That I got contue me our word everything that means. That means we want to please ourselves. Self gratuitous, gratuitous down self, I don't worry write that down we got We want to tell you we're so
self contuitous. Like you know, we we we were putting ourselves first in everything, and that's the way we live our lives. Everything we do is about what I get out of that. You know, well, what's in it for me? That's how we was wired coming up. In order to be the president. Then you gotta put the people first, you know what I'm saying. So even then my company lose money, I gotta do the right thing. Really, ain't
pull to have a company. That's another thing. You can't have a company, you can't be an entrepreneur if you're the president. Why is that? I never knew that. Because it's not fair, Because I'm gonna saying you can call the shots that would be it's called conflict of interest. They're saying that you would be able to call shots that would benefit your company over all the other companies that consist of the people. So you put yourself the other day. Man, this is John gut is the president.
You know what I'm saying, A goof fast John with bad suits. You know what I'm saying, Like, I mean, like that's that's really that's the artist to God, truth about it. I'd rather I'd rather put my influence, uh and my support behind someone who is dedicated their lives to service and who is not as selfish and as self catuitous as I am, and and putting them in position where they could be an office and they could
do the right thing. Man for the greater goople of anybody that comes to mind, anybody you're looking at, um, Well, I mean man for the mid term, Man, I'm going with uh. You know I'm supporting uh Andrew Gillham for Florida. You know what, I'm saying, and yeah, and it's very important that you guys recognized the amendment for needs to be you know what I'm saying like that the amendment for is Florida is one of the only states. Well, if you get hit with a felony, even after you
serve your time, you still can't vote. Like I'm a feeling, but I'm from Georgia, and Georgia after you've done with your probation or your sentence and you can reinstate you need. You did so if you get a felon, if you get a felony as a one year old at fifty in Florida, you still can't burn. You did what I'm saying, So I'm still tim vote. So the Amendment four is to uh, you know, to to reinstate fellas write to vote.
Um and in Georgia, I'm going with states and abras and just see, I don't know, you don't want to be in politics, but see things like this where you where you were you just pointing out to people. I think I think I can do that. Yeah, I can kind of drink whatever you want me to and I can expiate all ship. You don't understand that I do not want to be the motherfucking mayor or the governor.
I think that's the true. I think every do you know how much the president makes a year, but under the table that nigga, he like drink to jail for that, to go to jail for that that. I don't want to have to go to jail for making money. You say, I'm saying you think about we want him. Listen, man, any money you make outside of you salary as the president that they don't know about, if you made legitimate money, it could be something that's legitimate that it ain't got
to do the drugs and nothing. But just because you're the president, you got to agree to not accepting no more money. I can't agree to that accepting no more money. How about the governor, mayor, which you could you know, No, I can't do it because you still gotta agree like the people pay you, you work for, the people you work on. The fixed income came that walk through that, man,
I can't have back. I can't, you know, I can't do my thing being and and we're gonna we're gonna endorse the people that that that's what we're gonna do. That's what we're gonna do. We're gonna put our influence and support behind the people. And I got some strange things going on. Man, They're gonna They're gonna be some titties on the resolute debt in the right house. Keep
going to you. I'm just telling you that's why I can't be the president, because the things that would be going on in the office, they were scaled the nation. You listen, don't be in there. I don't be honest, this this was gonna happen. You ever seen them. I would be doing everything, y'all imagine but rock and'll doing. I would be doing it. They were talking about the nation's address. You hear me. They were cool black people.
We need I'm gonna telling my dad in the road, we need want to leak a president to come out there in the road. What I'm saying, how hey, listen, y'all, I'm gonna hand this ship tomorrow. Yeah, bunch, ship going on back up. You look, man, if y'all knew what going over there, give me a day, all right, give me a day. A matter of fact, make it too.
I'm gonna have to risk up. I'm telling you, bro, you don't want me that that ain't, you know, But I will impart will because because as all people, I would impart whatever insight I can, I will, I will, you know, do whatever I can to to to promote and you know, I guess direct the vote to where I feel it would be best represented. But I ain't interested.
I'm in the for profit business. Got a damn listen, man, dim trap motherfucking outright, motherfucking Now, let's make some noise for the King of the Motherfucker's South, motherfucker King of the trap God staying there, We're gonna take some I'm gonna have to futher thank you for all right, all right, by the way, by the way, when you have three times, you're officially a drink, drink damn ye, goddamnit, and thank you so much. I want to take a bitture of
the through it. Man. Good looking at good looking? You know what I want to talk about, Okay boy, yeah, yeah, yeah, please, because there was much enough I have, Please please, please, that's coming out this thing. Everybody, you know, this album is extremely important to me, and we paid a lot of attention to detail. I challenged myself lyrically and musically, um consciously, uh to present the best, most honest, most
most genuine piece of art that I could. But this is the first album I think in my best album. But this is the first time I didn't want to say that. I think it's my best. It's the most mature album. Like I appreciate that you grew with you
grew with the time. Like you know, you could have olded on talking about you know, crazy ship, and it was just like I knew that what you were saying is was was I'm sorry, but like no, no, no, no no, it's your like how you know, like like like you know how Jay like three ye think what I'm saying, because you know, Jay would have kept talking about like
he talked about drawers, he talked about his past. But if you was just saying, like I'm moving it now still, we would have been like, come on, yeah, you can't be moving. And it's similar to what you did. It's like you should be reflecting on your past. You're saying
the things. And that's why I've enjoyed this like so so because I've heard every other albums, I've been a part of them in a certain way where I've been seeing for real, working on your records and the joint so for me seeing this, this is like, man, this is why I want to get on the norm. I would love that. I wanted to record that, man, I would record, Yeah, you don't go around like you know what I say, don't the book at the beat and that's it. We roll out turning. Well, you know what
I'm gonna do. I'm gonna be honest, I was, I'm gonna think about it. It's gonna do me and for a five song EP and just you know that, how about me? For real fashion? We just made a million dollars here, got damn any past. Make some look wanted because we made fash. No, seriously, man, I'm so proud of you as a as a as a person, that's a man, as an O G bro bro. You know I came in and ship brockingto y'all. Y'all mob dy, you name the whole queen move Man. You just spend
my summers up in New York. You know ninety food number five? You know I was. I was around yeah yeah uh, And I know how strong the movement would before it became nationwide. I was kind of a part of the motherfucker's who witnessed that ship before it actually caught on to the rest of the world. I was trafficking culture back in from New York to Atlanta and Atlanta to New York before the internet. For the Internet, I was having motherfucker's in New York. Learned about outcast.
You g k good m kilo Ali, Like that was me. You know what I'm saying. I did that well. I was let in Atlanta bigger because you played the game. So you know what, because I feel like you're bigging them New York and that's that's That's not this episode. This episode was about you and this episode because you know why a part of you, your hood is crazy at ship because they just called bank Head, Like, do think bank Head is rich? And why would you think that?
Because it's as bank You've never going to that, as smart as you all, you go to that Bankhead and then Buckhead is the rich. I'll be thinking something bank you Glass and yo, yo, you're coming from where you're coming from. You playing the game doing this honorably. I've never seen you. I'm told I've been in this game twenty one years. I've never seen you do no crab shit. I've never seen you play the game unfair. I've never seen you, forfeit. I've seen you stand there, stand like
a man and as a person. That's another fellow. Man. I want to salute you. I want to stand talk for you, and I want to say congratulations and continue to do what you're doing. Are you constantly putting your people on? I love that about you. Shout the Travis scott man who as all you believe the am of the year this year. Shout the Travis for God travingly, how you see you all the year toly becot that part. Shout the Travis Scotts holy ship. That is right right now.
We gotta get about there after this. But but did you discover because he was on Atlantic with you? Or is he still nothing at all? Bob sign to Atlantic? It was Bob, I gotta get it was both weird those you understand, you know, like weird people, not weird those, but weird, you know, out of this world? Did you get Travis? I mean, man, I found Travis on the internet, bro, I mean he was I was just getting I've just
space YouTube. I was just getting on for prison and I was really like searching and find looking to find like how to reshape the team. You're gonna have all things in your dams right now, continuous stick now. So that was just getting out of prison. And when you found no No, I just I saw his videos. I called him, I said something were Actually I think d J M l K found him for he from Houston, but you know he had a crazy caught follow away. They found him and Eagy at the same time. Yeah, yeah,
you got about yeah, you know, yeahs Tokyo Jacks. However, his old tour with Kevin Gates. She's one of the dopest mcs and I ain't talking about dopest female MC. She wanted the dopest season. I can attest to the fact that she writes all her own ships faster than her nigga Dude, that's hard. I love the adible to that was. That was hordable like a lot before we get up. But you'll be killing first take two. But the Falcons is not doing goodness, it's not ain't gonna lie. Well, listen,
the team is great. They record sucks. You think the Super Bowl mans where you put it out The New York Jazz did a lot more with a lot less. That's true that you did, that's true. But we can steals to steals. She's in the Rams are looking tough. Though she's in the Rams are looking to us, looking looking at tough. Yeah, I mean, I'm not from New York. I don't want to The balls don't look bad either, don't.
Don't you know a lot of these motherfucker's beat yat there willing they like a lot of these They have such a strong fan following that they wheel the team to win and then a lot there's so much going on, man, y'all don't win and ain't winning my hands. I don't going on Anthony the Day for you know what I'm saying. The readers fans and all the readers fans there. You know,
I've never seen that before. I was like, so what y'all do They said, were just come to watch the game, And I'm like, y'all don't go to a club like you know where they're gonna They just go and they just come to the city to like this is a real tailgators, like like football is sucking, like a cult following for real, like the like they'll they'll die with you, like if if you want to say your foom, they're pretending will maybe I believe them. That night they faced.
But ta man once again. Man, But what I was trying to tell you before you interrupted, know, we got into this other tans. You know what I'm saying. I want to you know what, man, I want to you know, stay focused on considates. I want to consolidate our attention to the fact that this is the first album that I have a favorite song. I need to know that favorite song. Is it with Amison Peak? That is a great song. That's a great song, but not the favorite.
And my little brother and my little brother and I love him. I love might feel like he's one of the most phenomenal talents we have of the next generation. I don't get two trials. You just want to go in. Man, you're gonna try it again, laugh out, laugh out of man. You know that puts a smile on my face that here was the beginning that he said. That's that dirty, dirty right, It's the true I mean, it's a true testament the to lyricism and to enate to tenacious m seeing.
You know what I'm saying. But that's not hurry. But that's not that's not the word. That's not a yeah. That then that that I gotta get Okay, So My favorite is light Day. I said that, and you know why, my son produced its light my son Massaa produced it and was like, that's a light thing, Willie, that's a light thing. My son produced it. What's sun Massa my oldest son. Wow. Yeah, you at least spend to be ships,
sp to be involved or participating in the being this. Huh, thank you, thank you bro love love so you gotta give me this. But that's that's that's my favorite recordmend and my son just told me started through music right excellently. Just a look out of relaxing. No, you know what you do. You know what you're doing when you never want to move to all of us, all of us that are in this position to have our own kind of esteem or acclaim or our own personna and music,
our own legacy. When I children tell us that they're doing it, who we should say oh yeah, okay and walk off. But I feel like I'm a boxer, Like I don't want my kids boxing. I feel like I'm gonna have a box to have a strip on, like because when we were performing first, I'm sorry I went to B first of all, let me see your country next. I don't want to see the same moves. I'm just not so. The reason why I feel like we should kind of like just acknowledge it, but not acknowledge it
is to see how serious they are about. So ye, how did your south come to you to beat? He had to beat already? Man. First of all, he asked me to get a piece of equipment of my fixed a long time ago. He just ad me to get it fixed, and I was like, okay, cool, I gave you the number to my engineer. You know, my engineer got it fixed for him. I never thought back about it. Then he said, let me the whole five hundred dollars. I said, that's how they're doing. He said, I almost
got enough to buy this this this beat machine. It's a machine. It's a beat machine called the machine. And he said, almost got nothing about the beat machine. I need back fire on the more. They said, I need five on the moment they could put a rush over that, you see us. Yeah, he already had shot. I gave it to him, you know what I'm saying. Um. And then maybe three or four months later he brought me he saw sending me beats. And when I heard of was like, who did this? Whe do you get this
from he said, I did it. I said, no, you didn't send me another and he sent me you know, and he kept singing to me. Is not only one of the greatest m sees so it is King draft Guard. He's not only the King of the South, but he's one of the greatest fathers in the motherfuckering set. Okay with you, right, some drops in picture and there we go. Dah, God damn that was. That was. God damn it, God damn it. You have no idea
