This lie pros watch is like a breaking late and you gonna get it right on your gray side. Uh So tell me something I don't know. Fifty dollar pizza when I'm eating it? So ho I heard that you went love with the Coke Coo something your nose hitting him on the phone. We don't hate me to

hate me? What should I do? Keep getting money? It's funny, y'all, was just like you. Super Bowl Sunday's Dream Chat with the Facts security guard to Kevin Hart to relax, Oh, tell me something about done know what? Show me something? I don't know what. Tell me something I don't know, Like when this ship dropped home came into Joe Coom, Tell me something about Joe know. Tell me something I

don't know. Tell me something I don't know, Like when this ship drops home came would it could be hoping this with the super ship Boy and o R coming close that door, that right now we have technically one of the hottest rappers. That's not even technically technically it is the hottest rapper in the game. When you when you sware with the top dog and you come out on top and they're saying that they don't even want to come back, you're the top dog. That's why it's harder.

Floyd made one of the fight anybody because for that night, that same people was on that same level. But let's let's get go over. This man has continuously stayed relevant in this game. He has. I was discovered by one of the the most phenomenal what I call it the best produce of our generation. Hit. Him and his brother had a phenomenal group. They did phenomenal things. They continue to do it. Then he had a whole another life where he goes to this these these these other people

and then he makes he becomes greater. And if you don't know who are you're talking about right now, we're gonna talking about motherfucking push your teeth makes a look, so push your tea. I want to take it. First. Let me give you that bottle of dog Perry Yard. We got you know, listen, we gave nobody dog show. Take something when when you give you you trying you myself my money? Yeah money right now, yeah you can here, you can take what you was totally up to you.

You know what I'm saying, Cause you do have a bottle of your own rose too, because you deserve to have your own bottom rose. So I mean, before we jump into that, I want to pick up to somebody. I want to pick up to be Dot right from

rat radar, because be out from rat Radar. He's sitting out a tweet the other day which was shocking to me, and he said, I wonder where to push your t interview was sound like about push your t's album, and that messed me up because I was like, damn, you know, I see all these mems you know, um, And I think that's what's being overshadow right now is the great body at the battle about the battle. So what I want to do is I want to break down the whole album as album we got got some number one

one song number one. I got into my own ship right here. But if if it's if you know, you know, what were we doing? What that what's that playing right there? Who's bootlegging us already right here? But cool? So if you don't even know how did that come together? Um, if you know, you know that was that was one of the one of the first joints that that me and Kanye did. I feel like it was. It was probably that might have been found in utass somewhere. That's

why yoming is that. No, Yeah, I got two different, two different, but didn't didn't he remix the whole album at some point? Yes, yes, So this is the first of the remix. Yeah, this is the first of like I'm about to I'm about to redo this, you know. Um, you know, people don't know that. Like the process in which I work with him is basically, I go and get my beats from everywhere else, do it, boom, bring it to him. Listen, this is my album. What you think.

We vie with it for like two three days, riding around to it. You know. Um, He's like, um, I think it's great. Like on the third day he was like, yo, I think I can. I think I can produce this way better than myself. He's basically telling you we're scrapping this whole album. So I was like like you think. So I was like, you know, now, mind you just think about what he's at this time, because at this time he's like it's dramas, you know, what's the time frame?

Just so we know more or less. Man, it's Trump. No no, no, no, no no no no, it's the it's the shows and the rants. And when he was doing coming off the stag. So when he was done with that, he was like, yo, you know, I think I could do it better myself. And I'm like all right, I'm like, let's over. So she was like, he was like, let's go to um, let's go to Utah. So we go to Utah or whatever alone there no, okay, no, no, but Kobe was over. Kobe cold may not like the

end of way with there? Just did he just did you see how you just flow up? And I'm just telling you, I'm telling you what do you know what I always wondered. I always wondered if you're signed the good music and like doesn't like a style has come with you, like like bots out, mother, what's the guy Jeremy Scott? Just you know what I'm saying, Like, but ahead, it ain't you like you're not just signing you're the

president of the label. But I was signed first. I don't know what I'm saying now at this point, this whole process the label as well, So yeah, Utah when you know, you know, yeah, Utah, and you know, we just, um, we're just cooking up, man, you're just cooking up. And uh, you know, he was finding, basically finding his sound. So it was always just about my album and at that time between Utah then Wyoming, but we found, you know, a lot of my album, found some of Tianna's album.

And then this is how all the seven all these seven track albums are forming. Because then he's like, well, damn, I gotta make me one and then poured something. We gotta sit there right now. I'm sorry to cut you. We gotta salute to you making that phenomenal body of work on standing there and fighting with a lion and in the jungle and damn it. What's so where were

you when Big Meat from the tigers in man? You know that that's what he said on the door, and you know, um, I was busy getting stripes like a tighter skin. But it was like I was basically saying in that line, like big Meat was the motivation back then, for like if you was if you was outside like

trying to get to it. You you're hearing about these uh amazing parties shout out Hannah Kane and uh it was in Atlanta at this time, you know, just about you know, the Elephants and the tigers and the line. I've never been in one of those parts. I heard about it where when this was going on, I was just saying, that was my inspiration. That was my motivation. I don't know what everybody else was motivated by, but

that was that's what was moving me. Oh my god. Man, So we're gonna move on to the games we play. Speak about that, man, the games we play. Um, it was just speaking about the competitive nature of like hustlers, like just speaking about how the competitive energy like you know what I'm saying, and then putting it in the club atmosphere. You know. Um, sometimes like man, I've been in this for sixteen years for realise and you know some sometimes sometimes I gotta go seek out and find

that energy, you know what I'm saying. Find that, Well, that's different. I didn't find Bale, but we can get in. But you know, sometimes you gotta go find that energy. Um. I've lived through different eras, you know, different eras, music has changed, so on and so forth. But regardless to what the street energy always to me is what runs it. Like, it's that street energy that really sets it off. That's where you can go in and and and and feel what's hot. You know what I'm saying. You got to

watch Summer Jam um, or you didn't get it. I didn't. I didn't get to see it all. I've seen pieces of it I see, I've seen people, I've seen the whole thing. And to allude to what you're just saying, when meat mil came there, I felt that because that's where I come from. Like at the end of the day, Um, you guys dropped three albums, and I tell people, Um, first off, what's what's the ship? Kids see goes? Sometimes? Yeah, sometimes it's almost deaf. That's gotta be most deaf man.

You'll see y'all give this drain that's little. But anyway, that album, since that Ship came out, I listened to it every morning, right, So I said, these motherfucker's have made a morning, afternoon, and nighttime album. Like that's how I look at it. Like I listen to you in the afternoon and then you know, I gotta go to you at nighttime. You know what I'm saying. So okay,

um now, so let me let me get back. Let's stay stick with the album because I don't want to cause I got so much shit so much so the games we play we covered that already. Now now this is this is this? This one was kind of um tricky for me because you kept that this is what I was saying earlier, the meek Mill thing, like like I identified with your album, Like I can sit there and visualize your album. Your album is a book slash a movie to me because I see every single thing

that you're saying. Because I got identified, I can relate to with it in some way. It was another person who identified relate with is Rick Ross. You guys collaborated on it because this is this is a seven piece body. You have to be very selective or who and why are you're gonna pick the shore? So why was mc ross before we get into that particular Because Rick Ross is one of the only wrappers that I can give a beat too. I give him my beat and I give him my verse, and I can turn my back

on that situation. And I know he's going to deliver period like he gonna say everything on topic on par he gonna you know, he listen, I have been saying, so I've been saying, um, um, your money's going every other month, like that's what he That was a bar in his in his verse with mine, and I'm just thinking to myself, man, that is the illest way to

call somebody broke as a motherfucker. Your money's going every other month like and it's simple, concise, but it gets to the point and I'm like, man, you know, you know, you know sometimes sometimes like you know, I'm rapping and I'm I'm a over wrap. But then you need that dichotomy for him to just nail ship like that, and he kills it. Let's make some noise for dichotomy. That was hard, you know what? That? Yeah? So all right too, So now you guys work on this record boom. How

does this come about? Um No, Actually, he was in he was in Africa. Ross was in Africa, and I was um I had said everything I wanted to say on in that verse, and I was like, damn, it was feeling whacked to me. Writing another verse, I was like, man, I'm just I'm just run on rapping. I was like, man, let me reach out to the go to to Ross and he was actually in Africa and they were just like, Yo, send it over, we're gonna knock that shot out. And he's I swear to God, he's sending it back in

two days in Africa. I believe he found a factory and he had yea drink chance alum nine. So let me let me just also say something that I appreciate as a as a as a Latin. You know, man like you has a lot of Latin. Then if we got to get to that, come on you run down, So come come back baby, right Okay, now let's get into that. Come back baby, um, come back baby. Like when you think about it, I hadn't put out an

album in three years. I can't wait because we're gonna talk about that too, and and and me and Drink Champs. As far as that, yes, yes, yes, we've been waiting for this. You wanted a long time. Let me something before you're far to drake you was still one of the most requested guests from because I guess the people you know, they want that, they want these stories for these people that so so you know, we'll come back baby. It was like boom yeah, appointed me president of Good

Music UM. At the same time, I was doing this prison reform uh with Hillary. Yeah, with Hillary by the way for helping let that trying to figure out out as well as UM. Obama was still in office, going to you know, the White House every so often. I wasn't doing music period UM good Music checks. Yeah. A

lot of people can't say that you do music. And you know, it went from you know, I put out I put out an album executive produced by puff Um called Darctors Before Dawn, and people were like, yo, you know, you know, you just hear you know, with social media, you get all the critiques. It's like, man, he's still talking about dope whatever. I was like, okay, cool. I

didn't put out no music. I was doing these these other separate projects, and you know, as as time went on, it was like, damn, my damn, should could use some coke wrap right now? And you know, and this is what people are saying, and I'm like, damn, just look just last year y'all were saying, you know, it was too much of that whatever. Comeback, Maybe this to fix you need like that that that was the whole period. Yeah,

you know, and you feel like this is your Purple Take. Yes, I feel like I feel like this is like for those that don't know the Purple take control a summer. For there's a lot of people that might not know the youngest thing. And I don't want to say control the summer of New York City because it controlled to something. Yeah, like wou Tape was the first group that you knew where it was from, but they transisted, They transcended like

you know where they was and that Cope tape. So when he said he said he said, I am your Ray and Ghosts, this is my Purple Tape, I was like, Oh, now is the holy Grail like of an album. To me, It's like, did you speak the rad a Ghosts that had that proud of you? Yeah? I think you know, I was trying, Yeah, and just to give some insight on the whole Purple Tape concept when we were um. By the time, you know, like I said, this ship

was done between Utah Wyoman, more so Wyoming. By the time I got the Wyoman, it was like, YO, make a list of like twenty five records that you just love, and man, I'm like Glaciers of Ice ratings. It's just certain things, records that you love that like, yeah, yeah, people like and so then we go through that list and we get elements from those records. We would just listen to that list and he'd be like, that's this

feeling we need. We need that feeling right there, Like, if you don't hit like this, then they don't make it. So then we take some of them off and then you know, by the time we finished the list, let's probably out ten out of twenty five. Now I had my list of twenty five. He had his own list of five. Engineer might have had a list of what a couple of records, man, I mean I remember Devil's Pie D'Angelo. Yeah, it was it was it was inspiring stuff,

miseducation stuff. Mine was really was heavy Rison, glaciers and conserrated gould faces. I mean, you know, and you know that's how we built the at least the feeling of the album. That's what we were trying to go. That's a dope that's a dope concept and way to put together in album. Now, that's ill. That's um. I remember for else he do something similar like that to me. He used to make me listen to records like I remember,

um I said the story. I don't know if I ever said it on the podcast, but remember Fabuleus is hollyback Younger was actually my record and it was infinitely was it was it was, but it was Ice Ice Baby, that was Vanilla's ice. So he told me, you gotta listen to the Ice Ice Baby. It was just like your version of it. Yeah, but listen, now, listen to it. How about absolutely listen to Ice like Ice Ice Baby, the same thing. But I was like he was a genius because I was like, but I just hated Ice

Ice Baby at that time so much. I was like, no, no, no, this was like when he was becoming cool again. But I don't think again. I think no, Ice Ice Baby, it's cool. Man. Come on, there's someone in here who jumps in the five point off. That's cool record and records right now we're looking at us like, damn this bad record. That's real. That's man, all right, So boom, never trust a bit who finds and not camera. We need to understand he will fuck you then turn it around.

And but what are we what are we saying? Because the new generation you gotta explain to them. Bush, you gotta explain to the understanding, Like you know, I feel like the club like that they gotta lot. No, I'm just saying that if the attention, if the attention is uh, that that attention hungry, you can find love in that. You know, as soon as you if they can get that attention from anywhere, they'll they'll they'll they'll take it

from anywhere. They'll take it from anywhere. And and you know it's not it's no uh, it's no, it's no ranking level. Just wherever they get the attention from, that's where they're gonna take it. So it can be you know, you know you think that you you know, young millionaire out here doing your thing, you know what I'm saying, or you know, streets, you know, whatever it is, balling, whatever, it doesn't matter. Because the other day I went to a restaurant and I see two guys and I see

two girls. But the two girls the whole time, but like this they were they felt like it was like a reality show. So whoever wasn't there They were there as well on his date with them, and I looked and I was like, how fun could that be? Like you're sitting there. You just meet these chicks and they want to want to, like, you know, document everything that's actually going down. So that's what I figured that something

like you ain't see. I'm not trying to plug this show, but parents Hilton got to show on Vice now where it's exposing like people trying to be popular through social media. His parents, his parents, Hilton doing it. Wow, I think it's Hollywood something, but it's it's kind of ill and it caught my attention. That's okay. Now we went with all you drink it. We're still drinking. We're still drinking. Okay, man, goddamn Okay. Now, Now, as a Spanish person, I used

to be scared even say that. Yeah, they're serious, like you gotta be like you gotta be like for real, like to even sit because they say that. Even when you say it, it invites the spirits. Na. Man, it's not that you did a record for me and you said, I don't know if you knew, but you said a lyric that was somes that here. I mean, I was trying to be hard. I told you, I told you I froze a motherfucker. I was trying to be hard, but I was always yea, So how how did you

come with that? Because obviously you have Spanish friends, obviously you have Spanish influence around you, but so you had to know, like because that's like really really, that's really likes that's my that's my That's probably my favorite record on the album. And uh she signed the singers Saint signed to Good Music, right, Yes her name is Shake. Yeah she's all over. But but that record was made after the death of my role manager, my role manager

that killed. So, um, just to give you the backstory of like just where my mind was at. So you know, basically, we want the road, it's time to make the album, so we get off the road and just show you the type of guy he is. So he's like my road manager to a manager. This is what he does. His name is Day Day. Yeah for sure. And he ended up going as a roadie for uh Nicki Minaj. So they're on the road, you know the way I

got it. I think they were going, um, I'm just going to get something to eat and simple, I mean, nonsense altercation. Uh he ends up getting stabbed and ends up dying, and yeah, like crazy and now not a twist about it is it's like he's a church kid, so like this is like, you know, I used to curse him out like every day, like just you know, just bugging. But I used to like, you know, we had a really good relationship, and I gave him as really his first shot at being like, you know, a

role manager, like I got him from Pharrell. He used to work with n the r D. Rody Roddy Rody. I was like, no, come on you you're about to be let's let's raise it up. He was great at it. And he used to put together my bands, and I used to I used to be like, man, why am I band together? His name? He was used to take, he used to take God from the church and you know, just you know, put my band together. So he wasn't that what I'm trying to just give you the whole thing.

So my mind at the time was on some like okay, the first line, now that the tears drying, the pain takes over, let's talk this payola. You kill God's baby And it wasn't his willing and blood spill. We can't

talk this ship over, you know. And it's like it's like, man, you know, me being in a position I am in a position of music, money, having things and just the opportunity to be like I can call that shot like you know, and it's it's that tub of war of like damn, you know, do you really do you do this? Do you play with this? Do you go? You can?

You want to? You know what I'm saying. And it's like then you think about him and it's like, man, if you want that, you know what I'm saying, And it's like it was a whole Yeah, I didn't live with that. Well. I still don't live with that well actually, and that's how you came with exactly because I'm playing the priest the whole song, I'm playing you know, war between the religion, so it's like, you know, I'm like

calling the shots as a priest. Okay, now this this one was the title for me was a shock with me do right? Because I was I would I thought it would be what would be to do from with me? And just it threw me off for looke, what's up your ducking down cameras over there? So this tow me for a loop? The title? What made you pick that title? Um? And you obviously talk about me, you know, um meek um meet and somebody I wanted on the album. Meek

was in jail one from the record. UM. As I got that beat, I was like, man, you know Big Sean and Meek had a record called Burn that I always wish that I had you come on record that I wanted to have just myself, And I was like, damn, man, I wish Meek was out so that I could do this record with me. He wasn't out nothing. Um And I like to call me, uh, what do you call them? The spirit? The spirit animal like you know, like, uh, Meek to me at well, I don't know how all

it is. It's what I feel like, you know, it's what It's what I don't do at my age. But that's what I wan. Yeah, but it's what I what what inspires me. Like I look at me and I'm like, you know, you all your homeboys, everybody who came in, everybody who I came into the game with, it was locked up since oh nine we came in O two that I didn't I didn't get to run around, you know, fifty deep and you know, just bring bring everybody with me, have a blast. I mean we did for a little bit,

but you know they ended up going to jail. Boom. I look at me and I'm like, damn, meek, I know all the fun that you have them right now. I love it like it's and I look at it and inspires me. So I said, U, I wanted him on the record. He didn't. He didn't get on the record. Of course he was in jail. Um, And that line came up. Angel on my shoulder, what should we do?

Devil on the other, what would meet do? Papa Willie tell the judge middle fingers out the gold, screaming Martha, you know like And I was just I was just trying to embody and harness that whole energy because I felt like it was someplace where he belonged, like I still today believe he belonged on that. And then he gets out of jail, and I was like, man, listen, he gets he gets out of jail. As the project comes out, we we dim it back and forth, like

we we have birthdays that are close. In fact, I got a record where you and me together we have we have we have a we have birthdays similar not but in his son birthday, me and his son's shared same birthday in May. Wow. And but he just got out, and I couldn't bring myself to ask them to be on the record because you're just like a doing it, you know, and we didn't do it, and hopefully we do something soon. I'm not sure we will, but that's

what it was. That's that's where the whole energy came from. The rappers really going protect. Yeah, I believe so too. I mean, like right now people are making you feel like if you don't have a protect you're not even in the game. You had to find other ways to invest, found every way to ruin protext. I'm not gonna lie, and a lot of these guys that got the stateless it's cool, we don't mind, you don't mind, It's fine, But yeah, you know, this is to protect Faith's faith

A fantasy. This is the thing to me, Like I'm really fat fat, I don't, I don't really, I'm not into the fad, Like I'm not really into the fat of watches, Like I'm I'm into watches and I'm in the rolling watches. I'm gonna be honest, I would look

at all your interview different. But I mean just because I'm in it like that and for that particular brand, because of just what that always meant that always meant like a status symbol of course coming up, but it was always once I got deeper, it was like okay, boom, you know, you get the green car with it, like, you know, have your name on that green car because

it'll be somebody else's name in that green car. You know, you know, you played all that and then us know that we're sorry, and so you know, the whole protect line is just man, you know, rapping is about bragging. It's about having that. You know, it's about that competitive spirit at some point and you know you gotta one up somebody. You know, four dot for dot o verse for dot since but you're always pronouncing some ship that

we can't even pronounce. You always like I don't know you always I'm rocking up listen, you know, But do you know why that is? Because when when you know, when I when I was you know, being a fan of like Hole and things like that. Uh man, I didn't know I'm I'm I'm, I'm wearing Polo snow Beach. He's talking about you. I don't even know what this is?

Like what is this? Was? That was that rap helped you like go to these other worlds it's not going on your Instagram sometimes and you be pulling in like when people I'm like, I don't know who the fun

the snicker is. You're looking at the way you describe like like I know this guy, what I'm saying, like like this that is that the further you go, like, it's different tastes because like right now, um, I love Gucci, right man, But if I go to the Gucci store, I promise you by the time I leave this jacket and I come out there is gonna have a picture of the same exact jacket. I'm on fact. And then then I go back and you know, two weeks later, I gotta get another jacket, and Fat Joe was gonna

have the same exact jacket. But it's these different brands, like even when Go y'all, Like when Go Y'all first came out, I didn't identify with it, looked I thought

it was an imitation. Then I realize that they had their own, So like, how is it to like discover these brands that people like the Hood don't though, Man, you know I feel like the Hood normal people don't know, well, well, you know this this is the thing I felt like, Man, when When I think about hip hop and I think about Slick Rick, I feel like, man, he was like the flyest ever to me, Like it's Gucci is this you got the Louis Tom pouch with the gun and

it's I'm I'm fucked up. I'm like, yo, this is But that's what I always thought hip hop was. It was like, man, you gotta you gotta come back to the block and be like, look, this is what I'm on. You ain't on this, and this is somebody got one up you in so on and so forth, and and that's how That's how I look at wrap. That's how what's tho stinkers you had on with Colin Kapernick. I've been trying to figure that out there. Let's that's not the floss Lisen, the real flosses, the real flosses, Deos

dressing all of us for my wedding. That's the real flaw frial ship, like the over real ship. Okay, real ship really Okay, I don't even know you didn't do like that custom that. So you're talking to fashion, but lyrically, who inspired you? Like going back as far as back as you can go, Lyrically, Lyrically um you know, biggest goat god level. It's nothing to talk about to me.

Um hold of course now is of course? I mean you know my deep ruin my whole life, like my whole life like ruined my whole Why step outside because of this because they're talking like this. I didn't even think people did shoot off the music. Yeah, I'm one of them kids. I sunked up like yo, was anybody locally like where you were at that inspired you too as well? Man? You know, um what what where I'm from?

Um Man, let me tell y'all some real ship just so you understand, like where it is that I'm from. Like Pharrell grew up one mile away from my house, not even a mile, right, I didn't know him. Timberland was a mile the other way, and that was my friend. That was my brother's friend before my older brothers their five. Yeah I have another older girl, but you know Timberland up the street the other way. To like for my brother to be able to go to his house and

wrap while he DJ. My mom used to make him take me. So I'm if we if if if they're fourteen, I'm nine. That's the only way you could go for real? Is this way. I don't know him. I don't even know him at all. Timerland know each other, yes, I believe they do. But no, by no means no, this is high school. This is high school. No, this is middle school. And and you know in in elementary yeah kind of yea beach. Mr Elliot's up the street, Hugo, Yeah,

hugoes not a mile from me now. Because because of zoning and like school zoning and ship like, they don't want certain places to go to certain all of us were split up. Now. I just told you all we lived within three miles of each other, but we all go to different schools. Boom. Right, I have a home girl who goes to school with Chad. She lives up the street from me. We don't go to same school together. But because you're up the street from me, I'm gonna

see you. We're hanging out. Pharrell likes. The girl asked me, yo, you know you see me? Yo? What's up you? You deal with her? I'm like, no, this is like my best friend. And he's like, you know, okay. Boom. He finds out he was like, yo, your brother's Jeane Malice. Your brother's Jeane. I'm like yeah, He's like, yo, man, he's like the best rapper in the world of me. Can we work with each other? I'm like, no, he works with Tim. He don't want to work with you,

you know, And all of this is happening. I'm not rapping. I don't even rap at this point in my life, Like I'm just just here, you know. And Timberland and is up working with Genuine and all of that. They go to New Jersey. That opens the door for for Rell to link with my brother. Now I'm skipping school, not going I'm skipping school, just going to the studio

with them every day. You know. That's how that whole thing when so when you say people like mind you at the same time for Rell's high school his next door to Teddy Riley's studio. He just so it's like the first show in, you know, and then you know, you go into like gods like mad skills, like mad skills, uh, tripical quests at the time, and I'm like wow, like people get to do this, Like you know, I'm looking

at him like go any nice. You know. It's um, it was a lot, man, it was a lot going on Virginia at that time, and you had that whole energy going on. Then you had the whole district culture. I feel like everybody from New York moved to Virginia to get money. I feel like that, Like I feel like the way the work was moving, that's just what it was like. It was the first Virginia Beach, was the first Atlanta, Miami whatever. You came down here first, that first. You know, every every rap song in the

nineties had Virginia Beach references. You talk about Mace Big whatever. That was what it was. I'm not gonna lie your girls. Was mad easy to come on. Some respects out there, girls, Oh my god. Even even before then, even before then, like you think about public Enemy and you think about can't trust it. In the videos they were shooting, it was the water holes and the kids, and that's all Virginia.

I believe it was Alan Iverson's life that actually made us realized, Wow, Virginia, Oh is fucking man, listen, it's insane AI because he's from Virginia correct net correct Newport Newport News at Hampton, I forget. But but Alan Iverson by far is like I mean, for me personally, is uh that's you know, that's idle hero level you know, and people like, yo, man, not too long ago, he gave me a jersey right and signed it, and you know,

I was crazy. They put it on internet or whatever's on ESPN or whatever, and people was like, man, why you made he from around away? I'm like, so, whatt you crazy? Right? This guy's like you know, they see me, they've see me party and don't care, like you don't. You know, I still look at him a certain way, like you know you look at people a certain ways, like it just is what it is for me. And that's up. Yeah, I relax. I gotta relax. I went

too far. I went too far. Okay, So that verse Ya says he's a man dollar babies, billion dollar babies and dollar by I don't know beon dollar nigga, Like listen, I'm gonna tell you, And you know, I don't. I don't necessarily know. M I know what he says, but and I believe what he says. But I know how these people line up for them shoes and everything that they're doing. And I mean, it's it's definitely, uh this' there like I believe it's there, like you know, it's beautiful.

Man's god, damn it beautiful. All right, So we're gonna get into the last joint. I mean, obviously, yes, we had to get into the talk of the town, talk of the business. Let's talk about I'm not to speak about this joint because I'm not gonna speak about the actual thing that it started. This record is actually a great record. But were you trying to um accomplished by Infrared? Because to me, this whole record is not about what

people are making it about. It didn't seem it. Yeah, but I mean you only slick on that it's just about it's about To me, it's just about the reality of hip hop. Um, because you said it was like it was written when it came from quick and is that what started the issue? Be for now? But we don't have to get into that. Let's just get into

the record. So you know, you know, you know, basically, um, basically that song Infrared was was a response to um two Birds, One Stone and you know, and it was a response to just in in in the most I feel like, uh you know, uh, battle back and forth type of way, you know, you throw your jabs out thought mine. Um, you know, it wasn't it wasn't solely about that. It was just about like me, my position and wrap somebody is is challenging my credibility, street credibility,

so on and so forth. Question and that it's okay, boom, now I got a question. Song, let's question these things together. We can all do together. It's fine, you know, and it's like you know, um, still I feel like it was it was it was, It was still lyrical. It

was still but two birds in one store. I tried to actually go and look for that, like if I don't really see where he's going at you, Um, it was it was about the It was about the uh something about you know, you was watching scar Face you weren't really doing this or I don't even remember the bars like that, but it was something of that nature. Um, A couple of a couple of a couple of jobs and that, and you know, it was what it was. Okay, now, now this is where we turn up. Now push So

since Mr Me too? Right, Okay? What what what actually inspired Mr? Me too? Because at the end of the day, you own what happened to that boy? Um we even I believe even the grinding remix was me you birdman? And was it Wayne? And I don't think Wayne was no, it was no. He might have been on this, He might have been on where where did this this? I know, I know there's an interview. That's it. It's okay, I'm sorry, ok And what did they said? They said, you're trying

to look like the clips. I guess they said something to him in regards to that and way, and so when they said that or whatever, um, he just answered it in a real uh, condescending way. It was aggressive. It was it was it was And at this time, we're going through like the wildest of label the wilds of like label drama, like we out heard. I heard

about this justin Timberlake situation. Whe wouldn't even work with Justin because he was so bad about the job, right, okay, but so um so um, and I was just damn like, man, it was such a better way to answer that, Like we we rappers, like, I don't gotta cut nobody if I don't want to. I don't gotta say nothing crazy in regards to anybody if I don't want to, I

know how to, you know, talk around things. But I knew you was dangerous, right because it kept going on and Wheezy kept getting hotter, and he kept getting hotter, and most people would back down, like you were at mix tape Wheezy, like you wouldn't have the dude that was chopping everybody. Listeners are clear, this is going back, this is bad, this is mix tape. When he was on way, he was out of here. And I'm like, I'm sitting back and I'm a rapper, you know, I'm

a rapper. Two So I'm sitting back and I'm like pushing, not back and down. And I expected because everybody when you go on fire, because the the common census is when a person goes at a person, that's all fired. You're hating. So I thought you would back down just over that. Oh just you know, and you just did.

You know. It's um. What people need to realize as far as I go, is I never want to make their records like you know, if you look at my career, I've made the same record my whole career, I've made the same album basically my whole career. I've talked about the same thing my whole career period. Then you're not chasing the trend. I'm not chasing radio. I'm not chasing nothing.

So when people say that, it's sort of funny to me because it's like, man, my record is still gonna be about the street is still gonna be about you know, uh, you know just how you know my perspective and my point of view from a street perspective. Um, it's still gonna be you know, drugs is gonna be the the common thread, you know, and it's still gonna be lyrical. It's still gonna be you know, You're gonna have the metaphors and the parallels. I'm gonna still put it together.

How we how we put it together? You know. Um, when people say that to me, it's it's crazy because because you know, you've never heard me, You've never heard me really try to chase a wild trend or be part of uh, be part of the wave. You've never tried to be part of the wave. Ever, you don't have to. You don't have to be a part of the wave when you provide the water. Goddamn, I don't gotta follow a wave the water, you know what I'm saying. So, um, okay, uh,

mr me too. Happens he this this interview happens bom things have settled down. These guys are on top. You now transition to president of Good Music. All right, but at this time it's kind of like a little turmoil between the two. Right, you choose to kind of mind your business because you know that has a relationship with Drake and then so so let's just just skip for a certain time. J Prince. Okay, he just says, Um that Drake has a career ending record ending record response

response to you and to right, what do you? What do you think of that? Um, it's the first time you look sleepy. Then it's over because response. No, you know, just to be honest with you, man, I feel like there's absolutely nothing that they would do for my best interests. Nothing. They want to look out for you for nothing, for no reason at all. When they when they had they're gonna pull that mother. Um. You know, whatever whatever their decision is or decision making is, it is based off

of you know, what's best for them. Um. You know, man, I don't know. You know, I don't know what ends my career. But I haven't you know, I ain't never told on nobody, you know, I'm I am who I am. I've never done I don't even know what's career ending these days, But whatever it is, whatever I ain't done.

So you know, um, you know, at the end of the day, like I said, those conversations were had and uh and then and and those conversations we had without that sound bite let's let's let's let let's let's let it be. But that in particularly phrase was not many That wasn't happening the but you know, and uh, it was it was it was to be left alone. So you're saying it was a mutual ending of it wasn't.

It wasn't any No, I'm not I'm saying this. I'm saying that, you know, there were things that were that were said during during the conversation between my management and him in particular. Yeah, okay that uh it wasn't. It wasn't it wasn't aggressive, it wasn't anything. It was it was all cool and like his artist, yeah, just sat. But so so what I'm saying is the narrative about the career ending and all of that, that's all after and after the conversation, right, I don't know about that

during the conversation. I don't know about that. And it's you know, it is what it is. Hey, okay, got it, you got it. Okay, But but you dropped Infra red Yes, Infra red drops two days later? Was it? Yeah, man, uh what does he drop? Dope? Dopey duppy freestyle, duppy free style, damn man, duppy free style. I'm not gonna lie. The industry was like, oh ship they was they were nervous to you. The immediate response that was nervous. No,

it was was heard, don't you start here? Is don't start I just wanted you to be on pointin you was nervous? Was fast? He came out that No, no, no, that wasn't That was impressive. But I was like, I feel like, hold on before we jump. I don't want to jump that with Meek. Male messed up because Meek didn't respond immediately and when he you know what I mean, No,

I you know, I don't. I don't believe that. I feel like um man when it comes when it comes to that, I just feel like and I don't even want to say he messed up because I sort of feel like we saw how different the game is because when that happened, Meek never lied to none of us, a lot of nobody And that what I'm saying is that type of information in the in the in the game that we play his career ending was the problem that Meek responded on Twitter as opposed to when when

Drake just went straight to the booth, Drake kind of went straight to the booth. So well, yeah, I'm sure, But what I'm saying is I don't even believe it's I believe that it was a a miscalculation of like the importance of you know, the writing these days. That's what I feel is is there any truth to him having access to the record before it came out, that that's why he rake? Oh you know, um, I mean you know, you know, I don't know, I have I

have no clue. You know, at the end of the day, when you when you are promoting the album, you letting people hear it, you let you gotta let the writers and all that. I'm pretty sure they have you know whatever. Yeah, it could be. It could be. So now you released this, you're hearing Drake is coming back. Drake. Actually, one thing that I've never heard you speak about ever personally is your relationship. Right, he brings up, where are you atting it?

Where do you feel is this all gloves off? It's just like because because and and all of his Virginia, Williams correct, because I'm thinking that is a place in Virginia. Like, that's how dumb I am. I'm like, that's how much you see, That's how much you protective of yours. That's you know. What I mean is I'm like, where is vis I've never know. I didn't know that, And the people was like no, so is it? Like what are you thinking? What are you thinking that you're thinking? Like

this guy? Man? You know, like you know it immediately just put me because it's like, okay, boom and records coming out. I already know responsible bang, that's what it is. But then you gotta like what I'm listening because before then he really kind of like he kind of was careful with you. He kind of responded to everybody else, but he kind of like when he when he was talking about you, asponding with you, he was very very careful.

So I can't I can't say that I saw him coming back this spec Oh no, no, no, no, I'm just saying that. You know, it was it was known that the record was coming of yours. Okay boom um. Once that you know, once that came out, um, it was just like okay, response mode like it's like, all right, what you know, you're definitely I'm definitely gonna respond. And then you just you know, you just sort of look at it, man, and you just sort of have to analyze the record at that point and then you just

pick it apart. And that's what I feel like I did. I was like, okay, Boom, we're gonna like, first of all, why would you mention her? You don't do that like that. You know women and kids, let melm Oka and you knew about the porn stuff. Okay, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Slow me that boys. So I'm just like, you know, Boom, I'm like, okay, well, why would this happen like this? And then um, then it just you know, and then

it was like man, it just couldn't for me. At that point, I was like, man, this is like not this ain't I usual put a pad back and forth, you know, like like I was like, all right, bet so, now you gotta sort of look at it and look at um, start looking at who who you're dealing with and what like. And to me, I didn't I didn't think the line was that good, right, the Virginia line. I didn't think it was that good. I was like, so you reached, and I got to realize, like, why

did you think that was so important to say? Because it wasn't that good to me and something that would be good to me said, but kind of like sort of reach you like whole kind of messed up. But when he did that, like with nas no, like bringing up like the girl, but he continued, yeah, but you know, I just I just sort of felt like that and then then it just it just started. It just gave me content like okay, boom, why is this like this? Why would you say that you knew about the poet

start prior? Yeah, so you it's your dangerous niggers. Listen, listen yet catch your strategic just here, like it's like backup and listen, listen, listen all right. So you, however, knowing that there will be of a response, but you might have held that response. You might have held the points are for the like the third disk or the third This ain't no I'm just saying, but you look at the like is done, he got more, he got more, he got three. Okay, now how does one know about this?

Adda closed line? What the fire? I'm not gonna lie, I'm not gonna Drake goes to battle Rat battle. I've seen Drake in battle Rat concerts, like on stage two, so he can't really say it's anything too far. I'm just saying, you know what I'm saying. But it is fine. God bless him, good, God bless him. But killers ben show, Hey Hamas in the real one, Hot one, you don't

want to feel one. He got this show. They always signed by my presence at right, I've always being impression show Bend he showed, Bendy Show, Bendy Show, the Bendy shown holding guns with guns I used to leave back on the way yea with my son's make him this is specking what they're thinking Movo Lulu work Now now you think he Kingpin trying front clap nigas. That's the end of storm. What told us soldiers hold the work? Just another second for me? I'm straight low when I'm frying.

See you ps hurt? That day was hot in this shown, Hey Homus, in the real one, Hot one, you don't want to feel one? He got? He shown. They always haided by my presence. Act right, I'm always been impressed he gave. In the show Bend, he showed them Bendy show. Bendy showed him that he showed he got Bendy shown. Then he showed Bendy shown. Bendy showed him that he showed he got in his showing again. They call a podcast poppy niggas just kin goes. I see they're trying

to drop. Here comes in the chage of town rints and you ain't versing no ship like this. What tell me something about Joe know what? Tell me something I don't know. What tell me something I don't know, like when this ship dropped home, gave me the shoe, call me y out on the late night. I'm said to play fight see fine break night. This line pros wat just like a breaking late and you can get it right or your great side. Uh So tell me something

I don't know. Fifty dollar pizza when I'm getting so hot. I heard that you went out with the cokec something your nose hitting him there on the phone. We don't hate me to hate me? What should I do? Keep getting money? It's funny. I was just like you. Super Bowl Sunday, drink chap for the facts. Security guard to Kevin Hard to relax. Oh, tell me something about don't

know what, tell me something. I don't know what. Tell me something I don't know, Like when this ship drops Home came into Joe, Come tell me something about don't know what. Tell me something. I don't know what. Tell me something I don't know, like when this ship drops Home came into joke Ca. So how did you know that? Like, so you knew that the clothes line was related to the porn star who's related to the knock of the mean, Yeah, we had a Dida spies because you know, no, not

at all with him. Kanye and Drakes meet and that's the thing. It really wasn't so so listen, let just be honest. Listen. After I heard the record, right, I ms to lead, I said, man, you know we need to put your on. He's like, you wants to come on, he said, he wants to remind you a ship that you don't even remember. I said, that's a dis record close remember like that. He's just like going on you that that's just some rapper ship. Like no, no, no, no, no,

no no, just just just good stories. Okay, but let's go, let's let's let's stick with Drake. So you know you're gonna spar man, you don't know he's going to bring in your person you think you're gonna do that? Or did you did you expect No, no, no, no, no, nothing like that. You didn't explain. So now that he did it, Yeah, what was your first response because you were calm? No, I just you know, like I said, I felt like I just felt like I just had

to evaluate the situation a little differently. Like you know, like I said, it's been jabs, you know, tap tap everybody. You know, you take something, I take some more moms cool, but um, I just felt like it just went it just you know, I went across the line with that for real, And that's just that's really it for me. For you. So now you go on the studio, Yeah, you bring up the whole beat, which is like, which is like, that's like real, Like what do I want

to call it? I can't call it afro centric for it's like it's like that's that revolution and it's that's that revolutionary music when the sauce, it's that thing what made you go because I had the picture Okay, so you have to picture priory okay, okay, prior to what, prior to him his response or prior just Perior. You just what this is because you know what it feels

like you Drake. Drake, that's when it feels like it feels like you did exactly to him when he did the song of I mean, I'm just doesn't feel like that to anybody else. So so so you had to picture before infra Red came out. Um, yeah, I believe. So let me just think this is some real this is this is some real hip hop history. Ah ah. Did you think did you think you would? Um? Did you think you would hear Ja Prince say something like that, like saying that they would there there is no response.

I would That's the last person I thought would be speaking. Who J Prince? Yeah, because y'all got a relationship. You've always been cool. Okay, no, no matter, Okay. J Prince is cool. He's a cooling come on, man, he's he's created some greatness of course, of course. And um, so when he said that he advised Drake not to sponse, it was a piece of your petty side. Just the petty side was like, of course, like I'm just asking, man,

you know, we're just drinking. You know, I don't know for sure you don't take a shot to it more. I mean we got more. I get to it. But let me answer you. Um man, you know I just feel like when you when when when when you deal in like truth? Right, It's like like I said, I've said a lot. I don't got skeletons, don't got things that I don't got nothing I'm ashamed of in this world, like for real, like I ain't even doing no line

and nobody. Come on, bro, I had to I said it to say, but like I don't like I don't, I don't know. You know it wasn't I know who I am, but I know it like it's nothing. And then it shake me about like you know, you know you dragged me into it. You know you know she built Ford tough for real? But where what's up? But who knows who's coming? Who knows she she going to? Like it's whatever man, like the poet star girl of a d m U or anything. No, I don't, I

don't know. I don't, I don't no no connections or you don't even poke with your niggers who don't pay your support. I repecting expect that, I had expectact. So what what what? What? What does the benefit of because hip hop declared you the right and um, at the end of the day, Drake can um probably do a response whatever? Right now hip hop from puff Daddy to everybody is saying, you know, he had a certain amount of time you're supposed to spawns did the same thing.

But um, I remember not spawning six months later. But this this is something different. This is because we're in a different time. So what is the benefits now? Like you know of of people knowing that you are baff of Ball the Floyd Mayweatherer of our generation. Man, you know, I don't know if I don't know what the real benefit is and I don't I mean personally on just

some rap type time. Man, I hope I'm not getting it from this, Like it's like it's sort of weird, Like no, no, no, I'm not even saying that because because of the yeah, like I gotta get it. So what do you feel about Drake as a as an m C period? Like real talk? I feel he makes I feel that we know people say he has a ghost, right, but do you feel he has an MC? But then that we're not gonna talk him. We're just gonna talk about That's what that's where it. Yeah, we're just gonna

talk records and the records are good. No baby, no big at all, Like that's what it is. I feel like you don't. I forgot the let's do it. I can't believe you know. Let me just tell you something us because the thing about it is, um, so many people do other things, like you got to sneak a thing, you got to play close things, which the other day I thought, my man, that's what you gotta start give me on my play clothes. I thought my man had a boot like play close. But I couldn't tell because

because he had all it was pink play cloth. It was pink. I was just like you, I don't know, I don't know. I don't know it was you know what I'm saying. You guys king, you know what I'm saying. So I'm like, but you got these other things, but you wanted these guys to say so consistent through music, like people depend and respect on you do music. Earlier, you said that you took out hot hatus for three years. How would that feel as a person that that's your soul?

You know, your cares is the music? How do you take it home? You know? You know, I don't I don't believe. I don't believe that what I do goes out of style. That's the thing, Like, I don't think lyric driven hip hop goes out of stop. I don't think that the streets go out of stop. Period. So do you believe it in a consistency? It's without time, It's just what you do. Listen. My album is called Daytona because you know, Rolex Daytona is my favorite watch. But I feel like I had the luxury of time

to make it. That's why it is what it is. And I feel like, you know, that's what That's what me and Yates Cuba like, man, this is we got the time to make it, and we're gonna give you seven and music regardless, period and that and that's you know, that's that's what we sort of, uh, that's what we live in off of. Um what's the lead? I don't know.

I don't know. Like I said, you know, I know who I'm talking to every time, every time, I know exactly who I'm talking to when I'm when I'm writing the verse, I know exactly who I want it to resonate with. I know exactly the club I want to

go to. Would it change if you didn't thought like I'm saying, like if the music for you, if you didn't know who you were talking to, but it was what you felt, would it change if it changed that you knew that these people that you thought you were talking to change they you know, you know, I can't really look at it like that because the reaction from the streets be so loud when they hear a verse or when they hear an album, or when they hear

a song. I say something, you know, I say something, and then you had the mike out there, Yeah, and the just came in. But I'm talking before you could even get that reaction. If you thought that that, maybe that wasn't there anymore now, because I don't think that doesn't I don't think who you are like you want to do what you do. Yeah, but I just don't think that that goes anywhere. I feel like I feel

like my niche in wrap. I don't know if anybody can get articulate street Wrap anywhere else from them, then me, I believe that. I guess the point I'm trying to make for artists, I'm just trying to like, if an artist is listing right, yeah, you know artists tend to always be like what's popping, what's hot? What? What is the audience? And I think is gonna gonna resonate with me? I feel like that's wrong. That's what I'm trying to get.

I feel like that's wrong. I mean, I feel like, you know, you make what you make, and then who who works with that is who fox with it, and then that's who you funk with, and then you master that and you grow that. I don't think that, you know, because that's what you going They're reaching. Come on, man, how do you know I want to drink this? I didn't even want to drink your career, Ya don't even drink this ship might because that's fine. I do drink Its cool. So that didn't hit me. That didn't hit

me a little? Um you know man? You know do you think he's gonna be here this long? Man? That revelation hit me the other day like for real when I when I like and it just started hitting me recently, like I want to say, like from two thousand twelve, like the ten year anniversary of Lord Willing two sixteen, the ten year anniversary at Hell Have more Fury, Like it's like I'm like damn man, like ten joints. That's crazy now, and then when I really think about it's like, no,

it's really sixteen joints. Really been his sixteen joints. Really like some people saying this one is my best album? Who know it? Mean it? You know? I never I'm sorry, but I've never seen the artists grow and get better the way you grow and get better. Pause thank you. And it's because it's because they think about it is you come from actually our error like which is an older ever than Kanye the area before, and you've been

able to maintain these errors. And the thing about it, there's other people been able to maintain those errors, but they've been maybe to maintain it justin single wise, there's no one to be able to make maintain that crown and the body, the whole body of work with a whole new generation funk with it too. It's amazing what you're doing. Like you know what I'm saying that I have no you the value of the whole album that we're missing for a long time. That is beautiful, That

is that should be that should be saluted. Um and and the thing about it is you, you like you come from the greatest producers. Like you know what I'm saying, you would've got a lot to do with it. I see a listening party, I've seen Swiss, Yeah, I've seen for of course you got about it. I feel like a lot to do with it. You become a producer when you when you're hanging around aducer so much. I was, I just don't wish. I wish in my mind, I

just don't want to pressing. But I want to hear the prey a version of your help, just to see what differences. You know, it was fire, but but like like who are the producers? Like was it local producers? I don't know, you know, say who? Yeah? But or less they were they were producers who are of name. Yeah, definitely have name. Listen he A and R is all my projects xcuse that's the Yeah, he may not do

all this. So he was he was already he was already like picking y'all just producing, okay, And then he just decided I wanted to do the whole thing. Yeah. Then he was just like and at that time, like I said, it was, it was sort of weird time and uh, you know, just for him, and I just felt like, all right, well, if you if that's what you want to do, then let's go. Let's go ahead, let's go do it. You know it minds you. It's done. So did you feel only kind of well you't go

relating new vocals. Yes, yeah, But what I'm saying is my album was done. Did you not feel some kind of way at that point? I did, But I mean no, no, not some kind of way. It's like, uh yeah, no, no, Like listen, I'm straight student mode when it comes to p Yeah, when he comes to like like turning the album and taking your input, I wrapped. That's what I do. Like and that's all I do, period. That's what I do. When it comes to all of the theatrics, you gotta

listen to, you know, you gotta listen to that. That's why I feel like, you know, all of this came out this way, it came out strong, this way. Come back baby, come back baby. I turned away, come back. Maybe. I was like, yea, I don't want this record. I don't like it for real, I don't like it. He was like, no, listen, I'm telling you you're gonna love it. Yeah, He's like, yo, do it now. I'm like, all right, last time that happened to me was niggas in Paris.

I'm not gonna happen again. Happened. That's why I feel for when hollebadi up. A couple of times happen, rap times, rap, you know it happens. So let me pick you up because you only you, probably the only one of the other thigga is that ghost wrote for Ronald McDonald. Nigga, Yeah, I'm loving it. Yeah, that was your joint. Yeah, I'm good at my job. I don't know if y'all know bad. I don't know if y'all know I don't know if you're just realizing that now. But nigga, you wrote I'm

loving it. Yeah, I'm loving it. Took a superl just front, just up front, but I half a man. But it still was like when you think about it would be crazy. But but just what you're gonna tell nobody that say, we're gonna say any time, no, no, no. I want people to know because they need to understand. Shout Steve Stout. He gave me. I was like, man, great, and you know, having hold on. So you wrote the slogan or you wrote the rhyme in the rhyme and they took that

wrote that You're gonna be that's him. So in this wrap he's saying they took it, you know, just so you know, I want people to know that part. I want artists know that part to keep it publishing, man like, make sure you know that check will be nice. But you're like, I'm loving have been running for how long? Now? I did this about three or that's they slow? Who knows what it had been? Half a man back then was like, but now you think about it. But but but just so just so they know they get back

is real. I also own fort of the Arby's commercial to be clear, the recent Arby's commercial when you hit that the crazy, when you hit that guitar strong boy, like you learn, you live, you live, and you learn you living arties, you learn get getting that you learn. Man, You've also been the only person that I've seen that Bobby Brown was mad at. But then when I went why Bobby Brown, and then I understood. But I've never

seen Buddy Brown mad like another young black brother. But then again, like I said, I wouldn't sarch but that was yage decision. It was the actually but yeah, I wear what him means. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, it's fine, but you know, um I was paid for Yeah that was like idea, right, yeah, we'll see what it was was we had a I had like what what What people don't know is this album was really made in like real time. And the crazy part about it was I had tweeted the day before like, listen, this just

happened in real time, y'all. I ain't even got this. I ain't got that. But listen, even when I get my artwork, y'all gonna have it. As soon as I get it, I went and made I went made uh artwork basically a cover. It was a picture of myself and you know, um, like one that morning, it was like, yo, I don't think it's strong enough. And um, I was like, what you mean you don't think it's strong enough? You're like, I just don't. I was like, bro, you picked the photographer,

you picked, you actually picked all of these pictures. Why ain't it strong? He was like, I don't feel like. I don't feel like it is. And I got an idea, and I think it just speaks to what I feel like. This album is on and so forth on Moon and I was like okay, boom and so My manager had called me back and was like, yo, you know he want to change the artwork. Ship costs a lot of money by why so I hit him back. I was like, listen, I don't want you to pay for that. I don't

want you to do that. I don't want to pay for it. And I don't want you to do it like you don't gotta do that. We're good, Like I love the music, I'm happy, I'm excited. This is how many days before releases? This is like a day everything, right, So I'm talking to y'all. So what I'm saying is I'm texting it. I'm tweeting the day before. Say yo,

y'all like boom. He sends it over boom, that's what it is, and I'm like, you you see it, you know what it is, So no, listen, I don't know what it is, but you know, as soon as it hits the net, you start hearing them. You start hearing it, and it's like yo, So then I gotta do press. The next day, I'm doing phoners. If my phoners is all yo, how could you? I? I like, it's crazy. Then it's TMZ. The it's my mom calling me like yo, I see you on what's going on with the thing?

You know, and you still don't know you like it? You know, it's just weird and that's all I know. I'm just like, it's what it is with me. I was like, you think it's genius up. I mean, you know what. But see the way he described it to me was he was like, Yo, you know, I feel like you talk about the streets in a way that's like glamorous at the same time, you know, you speak

about the pitfalls and so on and so forth. He was like, man to me, he was like, this album and his picture represents so that just that was our minds And it wasn't about anything being disrespectful. It wasn't my anything. It was just you know. But but mind you, I just for the listeners listening right now, when you're saying in real time, just to put it in perspective, it's just like when Kanye took the picture of it on his iPhone the album cover, that's what you met

in real time. Like that's how it's happening, how fast it's happened. I mean, you know, just so y'all even understand the process of this ship, Like um, kids, he goes kids, He goes, I'm gonna flight. I'm gonna flight to Montreal. He hits me, Yo, I need a verse. Can you go to the studio right now? I'm like, I can't. This is feeling love. Yes, He's like I can. I'm like, hits me back, No, I need you to go to the studio. Let's mind you. The album is

coming out in six seven eight hours. We're gonna keep going. But I'm just saying coming down, like six seven hours. I'm about to do a show. I'm in Montreal. I got a book studio, book studio. Alright, cool, hold listen to this niger verse. Nigas you bust down a break Nigga. I am not too big con bent to you rappers, Nigga. I am more easy you trying your best to becoming nigga. She liked the bottles with bubbles in it by her Lau and other linen when there's other women were in

love with winning. That's the new down the details designed out easily. They plays alone, hoping that I play a song. I love the trams, don't money along. I'm not gonna lie. Let me tell you something. Let me tell you something. Kickcutty has been a genius right. In fact, he's been a person that you know ahead of his time that I love. Um. But what Kanye did for him is put him in the level with the whole rest of the world can see his genius for the first time.

You're talking about the rollout the rollout. No no, I'm just saying that you can actually see kid Cutty's genius now, Like you know what I mean? Like this, this reminds me of graduation Kanye, and I am I off. What does remind your graduation? This the track? No, the whole album. Man is this calls listening? I don't know, you know, I feel like old Kanye. I miss the old Kanye. This is old Kanye. No, no, no, let me tell you something. Right now. He is on a he is

on a production wave. Everybody with him. That's what I think. Like I think everything you guys are doing right now, he's going on Now's album coming out on Friday for real? No way? What that sound like? All right? Yes? Bro, just putting on your phone. We will get the pro like, like, um, this isn't worth tak a little shot too? I think, come on there, because like we are celebrating. I'm taking the top of the motherfucking game. I can't mean imanna

be honest with you. Put what's up? Because you you alluded to it earlier. I was a little nervous when when when he did come back with that response, so fun Drake, Yeah, I gotta go back to So I was a little bit nervous. I'm saying, I'm your friend, I got, I got, you are my friend, you are you are a very good friend like that girl, because we're gonna get to that. We should get to that. I'm gonna take a shot. I gotta take a pepece too,

because my vote was very tight. Let me just say something, Vault, thank you all for stepping it up. I ain't gonna allow to slide. I ain't gonna lie. I came in here, I said, they are showing off and push your teeth and I'm w it. Yeah, this is the number one rapper in the motherfucking universe. He took out the Unicorn sot yo man, that was a shot. Kill myself on that. So what's up being in this game? Yes? And surviving this long? How difficult is that because you're in different genres.

It's like I remember your first video wasn't your first video, grinding, Diane Martel, No, No, that wasn't your first video, but the major video two thousand too. So I remember that. I remember me actually going to Virginia. Yeah, going to Virginia and me seeing yes, yes, pwee curR plan, Yes, it was late. I went to the projects too. I was like, oh, these niggers got projects, and these nigs they got crackheads, they got fee this is the same

exact thing. But see, I don't think nobody down south guy, you know, I'm just saying I was a child back then, so in my opinion, New York hood. But that was what was happening. I thought everywhere else was kind of like nice and pretty, and when I went there, I was like, oh, ship, everyone else is actually funked up. It's like j Quick said, every everywhere's like like Compton.

That's what Quick, there you go. But one of the aspirations was was going to the grinding video and I'm just seeing that you guys just out there and just how was that introducing Virginia the other side, because like you said, we had mad skills, and mad skills was predominantly positive. We had it was a battle rapper. I mean battle rapper, but still like you know, it wasn't positive rapper, right, but I'm saying it wasn't talking about like seeing and you know Hector shoot up from HEROD

and seeing you know, you know what I mean. You know, um Man, Virginia at that time, Virginia at that time was so crazy and it was you know, it was it was. It was a melting pot for like I felt like just for everything, like I felt like, you know, Virginia showed me all types of music. Um the New York influence was so heavy in Virginia, like super heavy at that time. Um you know, I was personally like that's what supported us. Like I couldn't get on the

mix tape. I couldn't get on a Clue tape for nothing. And you know I knew Clue. I knew everybody back then, you know, through Rob Walker, you know, for it was you know, he was, he was hot at that time. But we couldn't get on mixtapes. We couldn't get on anything. So really all we had was Virginia and that video grinding to me, sort of gave it gave Virginia a face and a look and a an identity that um

that the world you know, resonated with. It's so crazy because it was some little girls dancing in the video and uh, you know, doing like a step type dance or whatever, and um and I see these girls, you know, I see these girls sixteen years later in the mall or something like, Hey, I was in your video. You know, just super excited. But um, really, you just saw the impact of of having a rap identity for a place, a place like Virginia that was like, you know, they hit,

they hit, you know. I mean that record was a big record, classic record, so it was you just saw the impact of it and and I appreciate it to this day. Like I'm I'm I'm waiting to go back home. I want to go back home now. You said platinum on the block with assist hits for real? Keep talking this music ship. Yeah, I mean it's self explanatory to me. But for the people who is not sulf explanatory to you, describe you saying you're being on the block for rell

Less relax, you know. Um, that's just something that was a conversation that just always used to be had. Um Man, I remember being in the studio I used to go to the studio with for Real every single day. Every day in the mix of going to the studio, I'll be running in and off the studio and he come out and be like, no, I want you to hear this, and I wouldn't be there then I come back, Man, where would you at? He's a vibe guy. He's a vibe, he's an energy, he's a he's a he's an interpreter.

Mm hmm. You know, he's a ill hook writer, but he will interpret your life in that hook into music. Right, So when you're not there, when you're not there, you know, you know physically, and he can't feel nothing from you. You're sucking up the record. I'm you know, I'm running in and out. I'm you know, going to make a whip work and what I'm saying and you know that that was just my energy. Platinum on a block with consistent hits. For real, keep talking. His music ship was

that like you didn't want you didn't believe in music? Well, I didn't. To be honest with you, I didn't and I didn't. And it's weird. Now this videos that's going to like that line that said it's weird it's it's weird because you know, my life told you my brother is five years older than me. When rap hit, Yes, yes, Malice is five years older than that's not my twin twin my brother, my older brother do everything you say. So Like I remember being young and you know, rap hit.

My first first album utfo Rock saying sister worked in the record store. You know, he used to write raps. I didn't. I never, I didn't write raps. I was what's that? What are you doing? Dummy? You know need pay me no attention. I rip up the rap book. You come fight, you know, But I mean, you know, just awesome younger brother ship. That's just what I was into. That's what I did then, that's what he was into.

By the time by the time I got into late middle school, junior high into high school, man, I was ashamed to tell people that I started rapping. That won't That was not the way to go. Like, you don't tell nobody what you mean wrapping, rapping? What you mean you're rapping anybody? Yeah, he get this motherfucking money period, Like that's the type of time they were on rap one wasn't really you know, and it's still it's Virginia. We still looked at we looked at Teddy as, yeah,

you came from Halem. Yeah you know you came from the big city a Virginia board. Yeah for sure. But it's still like it still wasn't it wasn't our reach. You know what I'm saying for real is who gave me? No bro, like this really happens, Like how how do y'all link? So he said, the little a mile away? You know, how do ya? Um? Because we were we had we had we had to meet your friend. We had to meet your friend my my actual best friend, and he um, he was interested in her and I

was interested. Yeah. And then when when he used to be with all the time, so he would ask me, he asked me like, yo, you know you're dating or whatever. And I was like no, I like this's my home girl or whatever. And then when when they clicked up whatever, then he found out who my brother was. At this time, I'm not rhyming. They would all go to him Timberland, for real, all of them up down the beach. Rymy. They would go to the ocean front and wrap every weekend.

When he just doesn't that's already a thing local, not getting popping. But it's a movement, it's a thing. And when did you hear the room for real actually writing shaker? Um? No, that was I know. I'm saying it started as a rumor. Then people found what I mean you know, uh I was there for that, you know, like yeah, yeah, no, it was early like scooters and bites like this ain't

even cards level. This is like it's kids ship and you tell Riley asked for real, I'm they're getting ran off of the premises of future records, like why are we going? Why I'll come back over here. I guess this is way earlier. But you knew for Rell had the ability to do that because Telly Rowley is like, tell he's a big deal at that time, he's a big deal now he's still thank you, thank you for we can't forget. But what I'm saying is, but for real, is he approached to do this job or no, no, no,

they had a um they had a talent show. Okay, they had a talent show and Teddy seemed that seen the greatness in him. Oh wow. And then that's when we got to start walking into walking into the studio instead of just sitting outside and seafood running us away. Y'all know seafood. We don't see her, y'all see y'allod saying yeah, yeah, I'm sure that's right there. I'm just saying that the ship right there, that's not your shot.

I'm just saying this the people I've been having to piece so long, but that was so much for him. How let me do this? Because we vote? You got up, shout out vote vote. They said we gotta push your teeth, and they were. We got eighteen cameras pus your sun right, we got, we got, we got good ship happening. I'm sorry, I'm sorry I should I got a question. Se push it when y'all Okay, when the clips, yes, who made up to the name the clips, Um, we actually were

fully clips clips, fully clips right clus to planting them. Well, because plant of them had full up clips. We said we're gonna pass on that because yeah, they definitely reversed. Um definitely definitely didn't want to uh didn't want to step on any toes with that, and it was just too close. So when the grinding beat came up, I know you guys thought that it was a crazy ass peat because I'm a DJ I get to I got to joint. Yeah, we dj. The reason why the record

I think went because it was so different. Yeah, but as a DJ, I'm gonna tell you right now, the way the beat came in it was always off beat. Yeah. So we hated it. We hated and love the record at the same time. Listen, you can't cook. Damn. That was the fastest piss ever christ that already downloaded it when they remember when when that record was played with y'all think, I'm sorry, yo, um No, you know the actual the actual record grinding. Um man, that record I was.

I wasn't at the studio for l was at the studio alone. He called me and said, Hey, if you do not get here, I'm going to give this record to jay Z and you better be here in fifteen minutes, I swear to God. And that scared Yeah, because I don't like the thing about it is I'm very territorial. I hated it. Norri got nothing. I hated it like I'm very angry, got nothing, nothing, I don't know. Yeah, I love with super though, like that was Nori. I got that things that I couldn't think that I could do.

I didn't want him to have to be honest with you, be honest. I think I had grind, so but grinding is such an awkward record. I just want to know. So he was like yo, he was like yo, get here now. He was like, and if you don't do it, I'm gonna give it the whole. And I couldn't live with Whove having something that, you know that I thought that should have been for us. Um. Needless to say, I got over there and I was like, oh, like, this is crack, and he was like, no, listen, I'm

telling you this is special. And he knew it was special, but he knew what he knew it's special. If bat that's probably the only record that I wrote three times. I don't write records three times, like i'd be you know, damn, that's not it. Damn, that's not it. M h okay, that's it, you know. But but um, and then when we we we did it. And at this time, mind you, Farrell is like lit. He's lit, you know, hook wise, he he's singing on every hook. Okay, boom, he's not

singing on this hook. And I'm like, I'm I'm like, I'm like, yo, you're not gonna like he was like, yo, it ain't no, it ain't that he I'm telling you you got the most special ship. And then like he just gave me his whole theory. Like man, y'all, y'all of my group, and you know, she hustled FaceTime and hold on, hold on, hold on. This is this is a special moment. She hustle FaceTime, dream chancell what's up? Okay, okay, you listen. You know I know you know, I know. Yes, sir,

hey Man, love you, bro, Thank you appreciate that. Yes, sir, you appreciate that. Bro, hey Man, Hello, all love my brother, got your mat Sushi finished? Alright, peeks, peaks, n makes more. I ain't gonna last ye. I had a whole surprise. I had Jada kiss, I have off Daddy, and I totally forgot. I didn't answer none of them like I was supposed to, supposed to old call in. But I

was just saying so much into this conversation. I'm just like, we didn't really need anything extra to to add on to this because because because that but that's what drink champions see push. I'm gonna just be honest with you. After people have ten years in this game, people write them off, and people say that they're washed up. People say that it's over for them, and people say that that they can no longer producing and do what they do.

So that's not that's what we want to do. We wanted we wanted to have a platform where it's the exact opposite. You know what I'm saying. We're old niggas like me who forty years old. Put here, put that spray some jaffncy and in the air. Yeah, you need not you know I'm saying, when you can say you're listening, If you got ten years or more, this is when you come and you'll be celebrated, not when you tolerated, you celebrated. Where is the place that these brothers have

ten years or more that that thelebrat of that. No, they put you in the washed up category. They tell you that it's over for you. And I wanted to. I wanted to break that barrier because I'm a hustler of all sorts. Yes, I've hustled. I've sold water to what else? Yes, you know what I mean, I've sold you know to people who sell Yeah, So I wanted to motherfuck make sure that we have a platform for

people who's been here, whose season? But also understand the game, because here's a lot of us who have these same years that me and you have, but they don't understand the new generation. They don't want to understand the new generation. They don't even want to go to the clubs and box to it. I tell you, that's that's like I felt like, that's that's my calling in music right now. I feel like, um, you know, becoming a president of good music, man, you have to sort of be able

to identify with what's going on. I was side, Um, when I think about everybody, when I think about everybody, who's first week, I'm gonna be honest, look at me. He did just think when when I when I when I think about when I think about all the greats and everybody that I loved the music and I loved and hip hop. You know I'm talking about from the Golden Area. I'm listening. I feel like their windows were so short because they didn't embrace what was next. They

didn't do that. And and I'm talking about that mind you. I think that these guys are like, go god level m c's. But the one flaw that they had was they didn't say, hey, boom. They didn't identify. And I'm not saying that you gotta. We ain't chasing trends. I'm not chasing no ends. But it's sort of like with anything else. Man, if you get into the environment of it, you gotta be able to appreciate. You gotta be able to appreciate, like the energy that that you're feeling when

you're in that mix. You have to like, Man, I just sit home in Virginia, watch your on TV raps or watch Rap City and be pissed or the box. I see you, listen, let me tell you something. I see you say that story, right, And I'm gonna give you an example. I'm an offset your example was. It was the same thing when I when people seeing Players Club, people seeing Players Club in New York at the time, you don't go those strip clubs, right, So so Players

Club to people in New York made no sense. But for a person that went and traveled, I was like, Players Club is the fucking if. People in my hood was like, what, like, we don't we don't spend on money in the strip clubs. That That's how it was back then, you know what I mean, That's how I used to look it. That's how I used to look at the Bay for music. I used to be pissed, how shouldn't come on they do a whole little run.

I'd be like, yeah, I'm not trying to see none of this ship until I got in the rap game, getting a rap game, go to the Bay, and you realize, like, this is a whole culture, and this is a thing, and and before you know what, you're making the face and popping your colle and you you're having the greatest time in your life. That's how I look at the

rap game. You're like, man, if you can get in the mix of it, when you you know, if you're still going outside, if you're still outside and you're still in the mix of it, and you're in the mix of the energy of whatever this culture is trapped music, you know, Southern, whatever the case may be. It's hard not to like it when you can see, when you see how people appreciate it. It's hard. Now. I'm not saying it's gonna be your number one go to. You may look at it, you may look at it for

something else. You know, it's fun as energy. You know, when I'm trying to be barred up, I'm not going to that. When I'm trying to have a great time parties, see the energy of people, I'm definitely going to that. You know, you just gotta be able to like differentiate. And I felt like all of a lot of the people who did not embrace that way, who were like supreme lyricists to me, that's why we can only talk about them for five four or five three to five years.

And that's true. It's just like when I see, you know, when I see the females dancing get done, I said, this is nice. How can you know? And you know, I don't listen, I don't know a word, but you know, I'm going when like, you gotta like that, you gotta like that. Gota like that. I just keeping the man I don't have You don't have to know the words, and you don't have to you don't have to know nothing. Music is universe. That's the one thing that's totally universal

to me, as food and music. I mean, one time I was stuck in Russia. I tell the story all the time I was stuck in Russia and the guy, now when I was this is another time. I remember that time we went in Russia. They had the actually in Russia. We almost died. We almost died. They said, Russians against racism. If you were in a place where they gotta say they against racism, brother, you don't really belong brother. So but this is another time. I'm in there and I'm in the first class lounge and this

guy you could tell he's not racist. This is maybe it's experience after you, so you can tell those guys all babies before you tell those guys not racist. Because he's just identified me and he's looking he's like, he's pointing at this food, like this ship is trash. I'm Russian and this is trash. So I'm like, I don't try that, but I'm like this, but he's like, and I'm talking about we went through a hole like this is an hour and you don't know why. I m. I don't know who he is. And then that was

food we bonded through. They know all they figured out. They said, oh ship, someone body told him. But you know it's just food and music, you know, a god breast in peace. Man. Yeah, man, that that that struck me. Especially the suicide thing is because um, check out your friends, man, yeah man, you know, um, yeah, that's kind of it's kind of weird when you see like I look at him as if almost he had everything, Yeah, everything everybody?

So why and what did he hung himself? You know, it's good that you're talking about this, and I'm gonna go ahead and admit something now, like I'm just now understanding like, uh, mental health issues because of your brother. Yeah, okay, because you're you know, because him and any suicide things and things like that. But I'm just to be honest with you, like, uh, I didn't know that there was

like a real thing. I didn't know. You know, I'm raised in a super like I'm raised in a super super black household, religious black religious, black religious black and just black Jesus everything that was black. But yo, and and you know, we use crazy so loosely. You know what I'm saying. Um, we we used when the person don't have nothing. So when a person accused the person of saying they're crazy and they have the world, yeah,

that's like totally different. We don't even we don't even it didn't even resonate for they went no one, no one actually no one to actually believe that, to tell you the truth. To listen, But what I'm saying is you know understand that a lot of a lot of us are raised that way, like you know, and you got to think about it, like and just think about

our generation. Like, man, you know, I really knew my great grandmother who was like a real slave and like can tell me, like you know, can tell me like wow, stories lived to I don't even know how old she is. I don't know how old she was because she was a hundred and six for three years in my mind,

you know. Like, but what I'm saying is I'm saying that to say I was raised like that because uh, they went through it all, so you know, crazy mental health it's like they see as ever so it's like, you know, I wasn't really when it came to mental health. I was just like I don't know what that's about. And I definitely don't know what that's about for people who have, you know, wh who actually have like you know, what we think the things of life like money and

things like that. Um, I'm just getting like hips to like things meltdown, Like what did you what did you feel like when you heard that? Like what do you mean Kanye? It was like, say Kanye had a meltdown, and um, you don't know him for that. You know

him for being a genius. You know, you don't know him for genius is equivalent with crazy to be yeah, that's true, but not having it together and you hear that he doesn't have it together for this moment what you're talking about, like like tour time and all that when he was I mean, you know, I just um, I just felt like you know, still, I don't equate that.

I wasn't equating that to something being off. I'm just saying, like you men, you speaking because yeah, because I don't you know, like I said, I don't look at things and I'm just now like when I tell you just now bro, like I'm just getting hip to the science, right, you know what I'm saying. And no mental instability with people who you know, all right, well what we think

because people you think have it all your stability. You think of the guy that's on the corner, yeah you know, you know the person with yeah you don't think like that, but on the planet right right, all of that type of great which is which is goes back to um. As much as we work for money, like it's just there like you know, like I've had money, I lost it.

I've had it, a loss of having lost it, and it really doesn't make me no never mind at this point, Like at this point, it's just like I'm I'm forty years old. I'll forty one in September six. So if you weigh out the options, I've kind of been more up this year one from on. I've been more up than I've been down by one year. Right, what is there really to complaining about? Right? But there's people who

have it even more than me. And well, I saw a post of a friend of mine posted something today about Anthony boarding and they were talking about the chemicals in our brains, the serotonins, the things that make us feel good, which drugs. Drug addicts can understand this because when you pump drugs into her, he stopped doing because he was a coke addy. He stopped. He was heroin.

I don't forgot about that. Yeah, Anthony in his early years, but he still got But if you think about it as an addicts, the fact that he drank continue to drink. But I mean whatever, that is what it is. But I'm just saying like he was an addict. So and then he the person that wrote this post that I'm talking about She's She was mentioning, how like people who have need these, you need to get these. These the drugs in our brain, They're real. These are the things

that feed us. They give us the highs and the lowths in our minds, you know what I'm saying. So he was going on the road, he was going into different countries, going into these different places, and that was replacing drugs. Because that's what the reason why I bring that up is because that's what reminds me when I listened to ys album. I don't talk about his album. He talks about like killing people and he talks and

I didn't. I didn't I thought as being an artistic until I like, I mean, I think it's still I don't. I didn't take it still be an artistic No, but yeah, I mean I don't know. I didn't take it that crazy. But where was you at? You getting these teams interviews? Oh yeah, I mean you know, I mean listen, it was listen. I mean, we could talk on so many different levels when it came to that. Just um, I mean, well,

first of all, let's just talk about the business. Like, man, we got a whole we got a whole by this time, we've got whole five albums that we have decided that we're putting out, so on and so forth. This is what we're doing. So he's obviously very calculated. Well, very we're on and we lit. I'm like, okay, you know, my album's damn they're finished. If not finished, it's cracked. Boom. I'm happy everybody else Na's in the mixed boom and M he comes and he has a teams interview, and

from that point on, I'm just like, this is the slavery. Yeah, I'm like, well, there's absolutely positively nothing else going to be louder than that. M And I was like then, I'm like, man, I'm first, there's no press that I'm gonna do. I'm not gonna do any press because because that's gonna be that's gonna be the press. Um. And I was just like, man, that still, it's gonna be the press for the remainder of it. You know. I just felt like it was so that bothered you though

that that happened. Yeah, So as like business partners, I mean like that in business, I was my business mom was saying, Wow, I don't know how we're gonna move this like this, like, you know, because my thing is you know, thinks about it on the album as if his wife even Okay, listen, it was really a real it was a thing. So it's like, man, it's a real thing. So it's like at the same time business minded and thinking, it's like, man, I like like everybody,

everybody needs to hold their own weight. It's likely boom, He's gonna produce it. That's cool. We get we get to get out here and run with the ball when it's our time to run with the ball. That's That's just how I feel like it should go. Well, he sort of took the ball away with that, so there's

nowhere to run. And you know, I feel like at the same time when that happened, um, he took the ball, and then it got into like you know, it was him, it was him tweeting and talking, and it just got He became down on the Trump, right, he really became He really became vocal in regards. I don't want to say he's Trump, not in the presence of Trump, how Trump, how Trump does it? But you can never yourself right, right.

You can text me, you can text me and say what's up, and I can text you and say what's up? And I could think you beefing, and you could think I'm saying what's up. It's like what you're saying. But you know, um, I just felt like, you know, he took the ball. He took the ball, and it was it was uneasy for me. It was a little bit uneasy for me because, like I said, I feel like, you know, he produced it. We run with the ball, We do what we're supposed to do in respective veins,

you know, in lanes and genres or whatever. But he took it man, and and and it's panned out. How was him and Tias record? Um? And like I want more question and I'll let you go him in Tias record because that was like to me, I had a record, Me and component has a record called the Argument. Right, that's the only record that's better than that record. It's right, it's but but it's called but it's basically the same

as that record. When I got to your remember I took you with yours that I do remember, Yo, I still don't drive me up. But um, what was the saying that was into that argument argument? So that him and tas record that was also done in real time Okay, how you said, I think that was the most brilliant record. I mean the people because that we're just not ready to Um we're still in infant stages. You can't give a steak right now, right So I don't think the

people was ready for that. But I think the concept was brilliant. Um were you there are part of that? I was. But some people might feel it was set up also, Well, I feel like it was set up. I mean, like it's okay, I mean they were arguing. I mean it was actually a debate on record. I mean, I think that's a genius way to defuse something so some one can say, no, bro, this is a way out of the situation, A genius way out of it.

You don't get it. Yeah, I liked it. I thought, I'm just saying if we like it or not, I'm just I'm I'm playing the devil's advocate to that. I thought it should have made that. What do you think you enjoyed him scrapping the whole album? And yes, he scratches his own albums, Yeah he did. Actually I started off from over from TMZ. Why because um man, that guy really works off feeling and you know, he really works off feeling and it's always about taking it to

the next level for him. Um. At the same time, he also it's like, okay, boom, TMZ happened. We're not gonna keep living in TMZ. We're gonna go to the next His mind is always you know, did he regret the TMZ or not at all? Uh. I don't think he regrets it. I feel like he I feel like he Uh. We've had conversations about messaging and things like that, and and how it was message which where it could

have been better, and so on and so forth. But you know, I feel like there's a bigger picture for him, you know what I'm saying, And I feel like a lot of things got lost in uh, in the in the keywords you know what I'm saying, versus like there was a messaging that obviously to me it seemed like he miss messaged on. I felt like he had a valid idea that miss message. No no, no, Like you know, when we speak about it, when he's like, man, you know, you know, it's say like, damn, pushing on, I really

do I want to. I want to learn. I feel like we all should be learning. How Matt became a billionaire instead of learning Kiss calling that you know Jenna Kiss was going on. You want to drink kids, make some you know the time you listen, you listen, We're here with push your team man, Kiss what out? No doubt you already know what it is. My brother pushed. Congratulations on that, congractulations on putting the grip on the Thank you seriously bringing that talk back to the real

street general. Listen, you you heard yankers get the shout out on my album for that was you, That was for you? Your style that she you know it. We appreciate that. Bro, You're on fire. Just keep the gas lit, you know what I mean. Thank you, sir to the whole good music and putting up great projects. Looking forward to that NAS album. Yes, sir, love big for the culture, you know what I mean? Yeah, thank you, Thank you Kiss? Oh what's this ship? Her? You USh us and you

get that love Listen. I'm just I just totally forgot. I had hit everybody in the industry to say the call in and then I totally got so much into a conversation I answered the phone for no one. Wow. So, but but how do you feel about like getting that type of love like I could, I could hit anybody, and then everybody wants to call in listen, you know, I really appreciate it and and for real, for real, these are like all people I respect and Nipsey Hustle.

This is the people who did get through Nipsey Hustle. Totally respect Nipsey for for sure. Jada Kiss Man, I was, I was riding off of State University myself, going to buy mixed tapes from the bootlegger. The clue is shouting out that he's gonna beat up when he see him. You know what I'm saying, like black man to hear the beginning of the clue tape and the end of the clue tape with the locks, like it's um, you know man, it just for real, It says a lot.

It says a lot that I'm even um, it affects me a lot that I even get to kick it with these guys like this that I even you know, have the relationship and the report that I have with the Jada Kiss Fabulous and Noriega. But you realize your legend as well, yeah, for sure for sure. Like I'm like, like, man,

this is it's crazy. This is my peer group. But this is my peer group before I was a peer you know what, I'm like that ship like and I'm talking about still great, all the ones, all the ones that were great to me then and it's still great to me now. Still you know, still still getting money, Still gotta listen to be to be motivated. You gotta still get money. But let me just say something, because if you're great, ain't still getting money nowadays? You'll be

looking at right. No, No, You're still great, but be clear, you gotta still getting listen. You have to be You gotta still get type of away. You have to some type of way sells soaps listening listen. Man, that's what I feel like, you know, that's what the game is.

That's what rappid is for me. It's um, it's still the youngest genre right what were like forty four years in and like like it's good for us to be able to sit here and be like, man, I'm at drink Champs, like I know, like I know, there's like two hundred and forty probably a month that just comes to this guy. What's your first sign? The designer? Oh yeah, so you get you get the job of good music. Yeah, And then they say you gotta produce? Are you just

you just on on my space? But no, no, no, what happens is, um see a lot of ship has happened with a good involving new ship, like if we take it all the way back to my Name is my Name? Um that album came out two thousand thirteen, and making that album, and making that album, I came under a lot of fire for having a song called Pain with Future on it. You know, I go to the studio, you know, me and Yale be together for a while. I go, you know, we leave, I go home,

wom come back. The first question he asked, what's hot? I'd be like, future is to god? What are you talking about? He was like, what's that? You know? You know what you mean? You play it? You know what I'm saying. He gets into it. Oh man, get him up here, futures get on pain. That's how it goes. You know, people killing me? What you mean? You rapp? Why you why you got? I'm like, man, this is what's hot? What you're talking about? This? He's crazy me. I think I'm using them in a in a way

that's not compromising myself. You know, I feel like we were Yeah, you know and we found a way to make it, to make a marriage with it, paying one of my favorite records, you know, the same time, you know, he may ask me, yo, what's what's what's what's going on? I'm like, what you mean? What's going on? Chief Keith was going on? You bugging like he from Chicago? What you mean? Yeah? So you know, what's that? Play that boom? I like that kid, young child, Okay, boom, let me

remix that. All right, we do the remix boom. You know, And you found Designer the same way, the same way Designer was on Like I was heavily into future, like you know, just as an artist, like man, he's dope with a moon. And I heard him. I heard Designer, I want to say, through SoundCloud maybe and and so my manager was all go into him, and I was like, yo, you heard that New Future. I was just playing who's your manager, Stephen Victor? So I was like, yo, um,

Stephen Victor. He always liked his name, said he's like first and last. You don't so, you know, I'm like, yo, you know the New Future, New Future? Crazy? He like what? So I'm like, you know, I played it and I played Designer and he was like, man, this is fine. I was like, yes, kid, nat design, he this this is the next wave. Watch him talking back and forth.

By that time, and rich A he went out. I think he probably went to l A played him for you a. Um also yeah, okay, um by this time it was other A and rs around playing pat He was around during that time as well. Yeah, and he uh, he's he's a good now but but he uh he played it as well. And yeah, he was like okay,

go find him and went back to Brooklyn. Saw that he had other you know, other characters, you know, design and probably like eighteens time, so you know, um it's like eighteen and and just had you know, just had different different colors with him, different energy, different colors, and and uh ended up on apolo album from you know, from Panda, Yeah Panda was that pandas like fourteen sixteen million something like that. Timmy turn about two Yeah you

know I'm still working. Yeah all right, so um does definitely come in three's Well that's what they say. I said. I heard you say, yeah, no, no, no, no, that's the same. I know it's the same. Yeah, would you reiterate this recently? And I'm just like I'm saying that because there's three people involved in the Okay, how appropriate? Yeah, okay,

So I'm now valet. Let's in this with this. Let's go man, let's keep talking about Okay, alright, cool because you know, you know Mr Leonard, they gotta because you know you're gonna do burn. Mr lea hair like hair on his arm, just burning. Mr. He keeps asking to be on my losing ship. Man, I'm so tired. Let me just tell your something. You got one stellar. Let me tell you something. I'm tiring. I'm gonna tire to you. I'm driving around. Mr. Leave me. This is your album,

he says. He says, no jury are But I'm the richest nigga in the head. You think he talks about me? Be I looked at M. Leon I'm saying, you gotta last. It's the studio whatever, it's in my mind. It just you know. Mr. Lee is a funny. So listen and listen. Um. I gonna be honest, Mr. Lee. Only your friends, your rapper friends are drug dealers. You got me kids, and I think you got Jesus Like, I'm not gonna lie.

Defence is watching somebody's definitely why you know you know, but all right, let me do me just take it back for one second, puestion Thet'll take it back because you see what happened. I mean, in the public conception for a while, Meek was finished right in the public conception, not to say he was financially waht fun, but in the public conception for for a long time after back to back, right, people, boy, it was back to back even bad nig She got nominated for Grammy push backs,

which means nothing to me. But go ahead, I've never got nominated. I've got nominated. It didn't even see me my passes, I said, because I'm not gonna never very ship. Nah, probably let part of them go by the south. But um so now you're back to back nominated, right this nigga drops doopy freestyle. You're thinking that it can this can be the same, or you're saying, nah, I'm gonna reevaluate this situation. You knew because you knew about them,

you knew you probably investigators and ship four days? Did you have private kid information? We never got to that. How did you get that? Wow? Man? People are like, I don't know, I don't understand. You know, people are just people are what people are, disloyal, just loyal or disloyal. Disloyal, disloyal. I don't, I don't, you know, I don't. That's it. What's just saying it was information came through disloyal people. Yeah, and I don't mind sound man, you know, I mean

to your benefits. So you just held it, you just you're just like, that's all I'm my holdest for the right time. That's a man, that's all mandamne. So for the record, it's over, though, it is over as far as I know, it's it's over. Prince the No, no, no, I haven't. But you know he, like I said, he talked to my management and you know everything. It was cool. It was done. It was cool. Now did you think you went too far? No? No, no, I don't believe

in too far, okay, especially after mentioned it. Never there's no such thing, no such thing. So now moving forward, right, everybody says it's over. I got the album of the year, they got the album. Yeah, that's it. That's what I'm going Because you did you did say you saw a baby in the elevator and Beverly Hill, I did, man, you did you did see baby? And the elevator, Beverly Hills. It's the four Seasons. I feel like it's four seasons? Yeah close? Is it miss the hotel? No, you know,

one of those types. Okay, I'm involved. Okay, So now what happens if you're at four seasons? Now? Wald Off? Very nice? What happens in there at the wall though? Yeah? Super nice, super nice. Goat. You don't even gotta walk in. You can smell it. That's money in there. But you remember we jogged like I was like, I said that the war Dolf is right there. How you know, smell that ship. We were a mile away. Smell man. So you're at the war Dolf, Drake Walters, right, you're in. Yeah,

what happens? What do you mean what happening? I'm asking you? Walk in the elevator, Drake Warter? So, I mean, you know, I don't know. I don't know. I mean, you know, I'm fine, Like what is it to talk about? I mean, we never really had We've never had conversations. We never not an elevator. That's like two kids. It's anywhere, it doesn't matter and anywhere, you know, it's just what it is. Unless something happens. Something happens. It's what I'm just saying. Like,

if he said, y'all want to high let you be immediate. Yeah, like you listen. You know, if he can say you want dollars, probably just talk right. What I'm saying is, let's most y'all in. Yeah, boy, bower what is it called bower? Steakhouse? Right boy, steakhouse? Right? Line richies right here? Yeah, right right there. You gotta throw line in there somehow, somehow you got throw line up because he's like, you know, he's mixed. You got thro all the minute, So line

is in the middle to drink. Still know, I'm just saying, you gotta leave line with because no one wants to fight in from the mine. Right. Let me cool. You're walking on your point. You don't know your point yet. You walk in the restaurant, right, trait is on the other side. Right, you're on the other side. Right, it's chuck man Jo. Do y'all speak, Do y'all give them? You know, it's a universal thing. If you're black, when

she's a black person, do you give the head nods? No? Head, No, I don't got much to talk about, man, I don't have nothing but a head. No it's like university like you, I could give a nigga scenarios. It's just black. I'm fine with I think it's gonna happen right now. Y'all got this. I don't know. You know, when you see another black man, do you keep him the head nod if you see him like this a my name? No, I don't know what happened. I'm cool, I'm good. I know a head not as a fellow black man in

the room. You know, don't do this minimum every the head up, you know, especially when you're in the camp. You just always you see another black name like saying, he don't even get that. I'm cool. Like I listened, bro listening work. I want to thank you for coming out, hanging out with the drink chance being here with us. We've been We've been waiting for you for so long, and not because of this negative thing, because for the positive thing from the beginning, Because people want to we

want to praise our legends. We want to praise people while they head. We won't give the people their flowers where they can smell them. They treat when they can hell them. They thought's where they can think them when they drinks, where they can drink them. You know what I'm saying, Because so many people want to praise the person. They want to say, this guy is the guy when he's on and this guy na, But how about the people when they are alive? That's what we want to do.

And I realized there's no platform for that. I realized that, And this is the reason why me and my partner DJ from we got together and we said, we're gonna get people, these people that got ten years or more, and we're gonna sit there and we're gonna celebrate them, and especially people and and and most of the time when they got ten years and more, it's not people

that they quote unquote say it's relevant. Right, So when we got people that we can praise ten years and more and that's relevant, it's it's a plus on a plus on a plus. So we won't like to coming because it's hard to fucking be ten years and relevant anyway. So God damn it, thank you for coming here. And hold us, let me take a picture of me, do it man, hold on? Quiet us? Then this show pay how mus in the rear? One hot one? You don't

want to feel one? He got his show. They always sided by my presence, act right, I'm always being president. Game in the show and he showed the Bendy shows Bendy show him that, he showed he shot show holding guns with guns. I used to leave back all the way yep, but my son's making us out. This is stecking what they're thinking. Movolulu work Now now you think he kingpin shuring front clap niggers. That's the end of storm. What told the soldiers hold the work? Just another second

for me? I'm street low when I'm firing. See you ps heard that day was hot and he shown pay how much in the real one? Hot one? You don't want to feel one? He got this show. They always hided by my presence act right, I'm always being president. He gave in the show and he showed him Bendy show, Bendy showed him. Bendy shown he got in. They shown Bendy showed them Baby shown, Bendy showed him, Baby showed he got in. He show band again again. They call

a podcast poppy niggas just kicking goes. Don't see they're trying to copy comings in the change us down wrists and you ain't never seen ship like this? What tell me something. I don't know what. Tell me something. I don't know what. Tell me something I don't know, Like when this ship dropped home came into show cap ye out on the late night. I'm to play fight see five break night this live, but watch just like a breaking late and you canna get it right on your

great side. Uh So tell me something I don't know. Fifty dollar pizza when I'm eating it? So ho I heard that you went love with the Coke co something your nose hitting him, dance on the phone, hate me to hate me? What should I do? Keep getting money? It's funny, y'all, was just like you. Super Bowl Sunday dream Chat put the facts security guard to Kevin Hart to relax. Oh, tell me something about Joe know what?
