D j e fn Together they drink it up with some of the biggest players in the most professional unprofessional podcast and you're number one source for drunk drinks New year Z. That's time for Drink Champs. Drink Up Mother, Drink Champs. Army what Up? It's your boy. Dj e fn on behalf of myself and Nori and the whole Drink Champs

team want to thank you for your continued support. Whether you listen to us on your favorite audio platforms, watch us on YouTube, or watch just Revolt TV, or do all of the above, we can't thank you enough. This week we celebrate our two year anniversary doing Drink Champs. In our short time, we have reached a lot of milestones as well brought podcasting to a whole new audience. We've also had the opportunity to speak to artists we consider to be serious legends and pioneers of our culture.

Coming soon, we have shows from the likes of Kid and Play, Prose of the Fuji's basketball legend, Matt Barnes and a lot more. To celebrate our two year anniversary, we decided to bring back some moments from our very first shows. So let's just get right into it. Has Let's go Scott. I was so gassed because the first ship he said was Cellois. Scots met me, though he was like, I'm not sureto rican him a story with me.

How caught him? He was at the Porto Rican Parade and I've seen him this is the first time, and I helped him up. It was like thousands of niggas around me and helped them up. I don't remembering Tsunamia. So I helped the nigga up and I was like, Yo, what's up, nigga? Yo, we funk with you. Nigga was right, and then uh, but what he wants me to get that is he always said he's Spanish, but he'd be with black niggas and he looked black, so we never

totally believed, you know what I'm saying. So one day I'm at Chicago and the nigga called me up. He's like, Yo, you gotta show a House of Blues. I said yeah, he said, Yo, my my family want to come to the show. So I'm like, I ain't no question nor stand at the hotel. I'm in the hotel. Tell the niggas meet me in the lobby. I meet him. Nigga come over with the Guaya better some gray Road and Nigga was like, hey, Joe, I'm like, what this Bobby you got through side? I was like, what the fuck

is might? I'm looking at the real Puerto Ricans came in Chicago, right, that was crazy. That was very funny, man, that was very funny. It was crazy. So so so let me ask you something right at all? All the thing about you is what people don't understand about you is you're actually a lyricist. M like you make party records. But even in your party record, like I told us, I said, Joe is one of my top friends of all time. But when it comes time to do a

feature for me, he's like the worst list. But not because he's not gonna do it, is he takes his time with something like actually do like I know you never dissed me, Like you're my brother, Like you know what I'm saying, I ate in your crib, my crib all the time with our families. You're my brother. So it's not, but you're like, do you think you're perfectionists?

Definitely a perfectionist with everything. Sometimes you know the way ship move nowadays, Um, niggas get mad at how I am because I like to roll it out right, you know what I'm saying, And that's key to a lot of ship. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm right. Maybe I ain't the smartest nigger, but I want to make sure ship gets it's bucked for his money with everything we do. You know what I'm saying, Like, um, with these young kids I'm working with right now that the first sniggers

I sunk. Within years they got fired and I'm still like, yo, we need more. We need more because you can't make the first impression twice and then wrap wise. I ain't gonna lie to you. No matter who I wrap with, I try to take their head off. It's just a fact. I gotta go in and you know, you invite me, and it's very scared because fat jokers. People probably probably don't think he's the best rapper in the world. But

hold on, I'm just saying. People probably don't think I'm the best rapper in the world, but I'm like the Mexican nigga you don't want to fight in the Boston, but he's not going down. He's a hell of a fight. Like he's one of the niggas that you know you're scared to fight. You're scared to fight him because you know he's gonna go. You're gonna have to kill his

nigger in the ring, you know what I'm saying. So that's how it is with RAPS because when you invite me to it, you know, and the worst nigga was punned. You know what I'm saying, what pub was going for nigga's heads since pun died. Who was like a person that you did a record with and you was like, man, let me be on my best, best best everybody, everybody. I'll tell my son that. But it's not just one person, everybody, everybody. Every time I go into booth. All right, let me

tell you a secret. I'll tell you in front of the whole world that I never told nobody, the whole world, for the whole world listening, thank you very much. Every night my whole career, every night I got in the studio till this night. You know, I never know if I'm gonna die when I leave the studio. So when I do my work in the studio, I go the hardest I could go in history when I work on my music, because if I die, no, that's the only thing that's gonna remind people for years and years, twenty

thirty years later that I put it down. Now, if you want to say, fat job, if you want me to tell you how I really feel, I feel like I'm one of the most underrated rappers of all time, and that's why I'm been in the game this long and i still make music. And every time, like every time, I'm like a little kid waiting for his far on Christmas. I'm waiting for niggas to finally give it up. And

they act like his luck. Then you've been in the game for twenty years, they act like this luck that you put out ten fifteen top number five records in the world. So Willin's they act like this ship like you know, he's just a lucky nigga. You understand what I'm saying, But it takes it takes, you know, dedication to that. So like with this album with Remy, I'm spitting my asshole and I'm like, ill, maybe this time they're finally listen to me like, you know, because right

now it's a little different from me. I'm a little older, you know what I'm saying, I'm a veteran. Uh. The young niggas don't look at me as a threat no more. I'm not saying physically. They just don't look at me as like I'm their competition. So now they're able to say, you're my nigga, we love your ship. You know, you're a vat fun with you nigga. You a legend. Before it was more like they were scared to tell me

that because they felt like we were still competing. The thing they don't know is that we really still would make noise back. I love that act, love the album we got. We competed so on this album right here, I'm spitting my ass off so that maybe just maybe niggas could look and listen to this album and be like this naked crazy. Let's let me ask you one more. What's the one record that a producer played for you

and you didn't funk with? Oh You're crazy? And the record that just you just said, Yanna, you fucked up up my thing? When you know I put it out there that I could have signed him and them six times. No, no, no, I've never heard this story. You gotta get out give it to us. It's out there. Point at point when I went to Eminem, we went. We was having then the one day he was like, yo Joe, crack. You know, I gave you my demo six times. I said, what

this is? After he's he high? Remember I didn't remember where before before, So the nigga turned to run. He was like, I gave it to you, and how can I be down? I gave it to you, Jack the Rapper. I gave it to you in that land. I gave it to you in Jersey when I was with the Outsiders, I gave it. He knew every time he gave me his demo, and I was like, Jesus Christ, I could

have had him. And then but the record. I sat in the house for Saloon Remy and Uh and he made Fuji La for me, the Fuji La and then and I sat. He made it for me in this living room and I was there with him for hours and then he was like, yo Joe. Like a week later, he was like, yo Joe, you um you want this record? And I was like, no, I'm good. He was like, you want this record. I was like, no, I'm good, and then it was fuji la. My record was I

got another one bigger than that I'm gonna give. Let me just tell you because I have the same exact story. Track Masters was in the studio with me and they made that y'all y'all, and I was like, yog. I told him I didn't even want it, but I was still, man, you probably wanted to vombit. I'm gonna tell you my story. See Scott Storch of me. Our chemistry was like if I knew what I knew now, then I probably would have been the richest nigger in the world. Because I

worked with Scott Storch five times. All five songs went number one in America. It's just the bottom line. Every time I sat down with the nigger, we made the number one. Right. If I knew that now, I would have had fifties songs with Scott. Story at that time, I would have all, indeed, I want another left him. I would have been on the nigga, breathing on the nigga, like, Yo, Scott, let's do another one, you know, Scott, let's do a nothing. Right. So I come and I made um uh um, what

is it? Um candy shot? I made that be do do do do do do do And then and he was going out way. He was going out way with uh with with uh with with little Kim. So the way I make beats with with with with with with Scott's he could play whatever. So I would tell him boom boomping and pam boom boomping and pam boom. That's how I made mean back boom boom boom. He just did whatever I said, like I could damn their beat box it and he played. So we made candy shot.

The crazy ship is I don't want my wife to uh to kill me. But we had little Kim up in there moving him and there we was doing the beat to this pitch. She was doing a little yo. It gotta be more Arabic, we gotta do. We got a little Kim up in there doing a Arabic dac ship. So then the nigga. Now, I'm gonna keep it a buck with y'all nobody. I don't even know if I can keep it too much a buck. But what I can say is we did it like that was right

after lean back. It would have been a jamongous head and some of my niggas and my crew convinced me not to do it. It was like, you know, sounds like me back, you keep going with Scott starts. I should have been like, yeah, nigga, every time my fun would have his number one, NA my son do this one, and I picked the other ship. I know you've been searching for someone instead of that ship. So Scott might have called me. I'm gonna tell you, I'm gonna keep

it about. Scott called me maybe fifty times in a row. I had no bet for fifty cents, so I had no beef for him at the time. You know that was my next question called me, let's just say forty times. You sure you don't want that beat? Everybody says they hit Joe fifty centers in the here right now. He wants to pay me whatever on earth for this ship. Are you sure, Joe? I won't give him the beat? Joe, this is your beat? Like he would not stop calling, like,

are you sure Joe you don't want this ship? I'm like, no, I don't want yo, Joe, like it was just O D And I was like no, no, no, I'm good. That ship was like number one in the universe after it was you know, he told you, he told you before he didn't give up the song. I told him, I ain't want it. You know what I'm saying, My artist, I wish I would have signed, would have to be hands down for a round like I don't. I don't.

I can't tell you that. For Arell told me to sign him, but he said, could you shop my beats? The real story, I went to break. I went to bring him to see Nas. At the time, me and Nas was mad cool like Nas. He didn't know how to roll like so he was. He did not have rolled a block. I don't neither. I wrote the worst blunts in the world. But we're gonna smoke. Don't judge me, you know what I'm saying. So curved. Yeah, I'm at pregnant blunts ship, you know, uncircumcised ship. You know what

I mean. But um, so he asked me to um to shop it. So I went bring it to Nas and he made um oh baby you want me, Oh baby, you want me. I wanted that be so bad, he said, After you heard it, he said, I made it for Nas. I said, damn, I'm not a hater. He's my brother. I bring it to nas uh. He actually played it. Nas loved it in the studio. As soon as he left, I said, Yo, why your man shirts? You know, I was discouraged because I was like, I know that, like

this wasn't like we made super dumb dope. We got them in the country, like this thing is doing way worse. But he was the first one though, So yeah, so and that would be my that would be my um, you know because again for Chad rob Walker, they never said sign me and they said shop my beats. So to me, you know me and you will fall from from the same tree where we helped a lot of people get recognition, get in the game and all we wanted to TV. Sat slept on my couch to meet

with we college. But he also we was yeah a little bit what in New York City he washed my drawers. I mean, I'm like I was from right at the time. Let me let me that's my brother, That's what. It's true. He had little he's not doing that. He come on that. He's a good guy. Let's leave the shows. You the progression great, you gotta listen. True, it's true, It's true. It's true. It's not just facing. It is no y what you're talking like this? He floors. Also, he also

sorts you general fat. Joe's not co sign. It's nothing brought me a He's my brother. He knows. That's just you know, it's true. It's true. You got it all. Guys got it all. Say you said it? Stop crazy, Yo, you gotta yo. I already don't like me anyways, come on, I don't think. But he's my god brother. You know, we got a lot of piece of ship, piece of ship. Brothers, you got a lot of You got a lot of people. That got a lot of people because you like you're

not kind. It's like whatever, It's still families got to find that the you gotta find the good in people negative. That's what my father used to say. My father used to say, when you see people, see the good in them first, and then you see the bad. Yeah, you know, I got an uncle. He lies a lot like he's a pathological line. Not too drunk. Before the session, you was at this video when when puff Oh yeah, when I got when I got mad? Yeah, you got mad? You want to beat up Puff daddy? And now you

vote let's make some money. But you can't phone or let me, let me just see who would you get the ship? Stop this? You know, Micho smacked the shut out, stop me right now, star, We can't tell story. I thought we was telling storm moment. Listen, Oh it don't hurt no more. Shout out the kids, A great guys, kids. A guy got the ship and it don't sound right. And the nigga was on the go cart a half hour later like nothing happened, and I was like, yo,

this is crazy. I ain't never seen no ship like this. And they, you know, they swapped him off the trailer that was cracked. But yeah, you brought up the video day. You brought up the video day. Man like me finish. I listen, I'm like, who kids, that's a good thing. But it stopped, all right. I forgot what the point I was making up for the visage, all right, I got it. Rule was so big at this time. The

same thing. Now I ain't got it against who like whoa he's a great guy, all right, but listen, this is how big Rule was. Right. It was like, yeah, you can't let norm me and job Rule drink right. I've read mad remember, I've read Lamborghinis. Yeah, said look, because you're driving, you can't you can't drink. I'm like, all right, cool, no doubt. This is my video. By the way, I wouldn't rule trailer. Listen, every bottom in the fucking world, Remy Martin, I'm like, I know the

budget is on me. Now. I didn't feel with hype Winds. Hype Winds, don't court me. I'll tell you this story. But I'm like, that's how big rule was dep Jam wouldn't tell that nigga no for nothing. He'd be like, Yo, I need to din. They have coffee at the bomba the mom and do it for this nigga. I'm gonna take some ill ship. We used to tell Nicks. I said, listen, I like to get high. Yes, you did so. I need like fifty to a hundred thousands and drug budget. I just you know they didn't give it to me.

They give me drug budget. I gotta, I gotta, I gotta tell this nigger right. I had little Stewis. Listen, he's the heavyweight champion of the world. Right, Lennox Lewis come to the joint, He'll come through the murder. Ain't niggers around Lennox Lewis and save tas fu my nigga. Lets coming in the video shoot. He's coolest, a great to meet you. I'm like, yo, I'm bigger. I left this nigger with the murder ain't niggers. For like fifteen seconds,

Lewis like I gotta leave. I'm like, what's in my name? Still like, we came together? What do you mean you remember? Ran him all my videos? You ran him when he first got to the video shoot, Lina, he said, do you think I didn't see you? Yeah, he's in the audience cheering for rock Man. I didn't know it. That's how we started. Yeah, nig gonna knock you out. So now he's, yeah, this is a foul has never answered my goal since the dude he's not York guys game up on me. But I'm over there. I don't know

what I'm doing. So after that he said, yeah, but you see what I did to him? Right, I'm talking about rock Right, he's not rocking on the funk out. I was right there ringside. So now rock one, let me say the instrument personal with you. We had we had we had Jay had some ill crib about Miami and ships we over there, and the crib and ship me Jay stop over we play Lewis. I didn't threaten him.

Were playing guns, so Tyson's gonna kill him. Rock Mom comes through this had his belts wait wait, just let side stop stop belt's and two niggs carried the ship the kids that we do you know, Ja and David. He's just clowning stick class got the bound for now Nickings and taking pizzas of the bounds. Get onto the

stud So we're playing guts. So now we're fucking with Rock model on the strip that we fun put over this before you got knocked out after right, this is after he won the first time, and now we got to fight, you know what I'm saying. So now I'm rooting for Rock because I'm Nott the nigger. You know what I'm saying. Nigga, I'm like, he made a believe out of me. Somebody gonna do this and do that to the nigga and all this up. Ships take to

the video. So now we get to the video shoot at right, So now we get to the video shoot. Sees fucking Lynx Lytics comes to me with the bullshit up to you. Yeah, like yeah, I see you doing I said, yeah, Nick, I think he's gonna knock you out. So the analytics is where you see what I did to him? Right? What am I supposed to say to that? I'm like, what's like, Yo, these guys they took to me wrong. I'm like, what thinking this? My people? Litings is my friend now and I wasn't doing Mike Tyson story. Mike, this is the first time I met Mike. You know, I was drunk and ship you know the first time I met him. But I used to get so fucking hot and you

got me one time in club bed. We started we ended up. We started off with hard link and we ended up with wine. Up. Yeah, I threw up always, I threw up. I'm still throwing up, Snicky, We're gonna drink this wine. We ended up with wine. That ship killed me. I see the name of Mike Tyson. I'm in the nick Mike, like your Mike, you're fucking up your career. You do this is what you do? Rule? This just a fend boxes like on your off time. It felt it felt offensive when you just say we

have encourage. You know what I'm saying, it's motivation. Look what louis that's right, but he probably had an extra motivation, you know on New York. By doing that like that was the reverse psychology that didn't work. I wanted Mike to win, yeah, and he got funked up. That was my fault in the ring. You told him mikeel suck you up, and he was my friend. Maybe he was. You su that all up with me? Bru A good

guy last I still was now now now kiss. I heard Style say on say one day that Tyson was fucking with Eve like he was messing with up, and y'all thought, y'all was gonna have to get it in on Tyson. He spoke so story. He spoke for himself because I wasn't touching Mike. Mike told Eve Eve, I fucked a ship out of you burst. I was on the shore. He went to Basha was even Vega so la and now y'all, y'all, y'all, evel you got like is us in general and I might have been there

so weird, but we want a red copy. Okay, only the artists. Okay. All I heard was Mike say, I fun this ship out of you me. Holy what I'm saying that a regular Joe Schmoll his head would have been on. Mike Eve, you got a whole that we know, Mike a little crazy. That's something that's gonna get the old. Let me tell you something. We was in Philly one times, in Philly one times and I was battling like ten Philly niggas in the lobby. This is not that used

to be mandatory. If you're going to manage, you gotta fe But this time it's not platinum, j'all rule, This is cash money clear on this is this is a free pre no yo, what do you do? Y do it? I'm in the battling like ten niggas Dutch speed. You ain't bat niggers told you up. I got a nory story eating. I'm eating these niggas food. Nigga Eve comes down. Okay, all my niggas is up staying beans bleak, come on way my niggas, is that nigger come help with nigger.

Eve comes down, nig nigga. It's the pit bull in the stre you see we're in on these yo. It was crazy. But back then, see and no don't know the y'all rule from back then. Let me tell you you know it. Once I got with with dog with with X jumping in the pit, nigga jumping in the pit, nigga, nigga.

We used to go because I used to battle lay that for our podcasters, jumping in back, confront, just going at it, ticks on yourself and all that because nigga, you know what I'm saying, I learned that from you know what I'm saying from from action, y'all juice in there. So I used to battle niggas in my hood. But that was in my hood. I used to be eating so so God he was like, you think you're nice,

I'm gonna bring you with other niggas. Oh another. So he brought me around, y'all, He brought me around, changing them, you know what I'm saying. And I was like, yeah, niggas get what I get business, you know what I'm saying. And that's and that's how it was. You know what I'm saying. So Me and ex useduld go around gotta you got. He was motherfucker. He used to bring nig's video shoots, so we go like video shoot and he'd be like, yo, niggas getting intermission is a cipher, let's

go and being going your battle. It was back in the days. It wasn't your camp and whoever he was with dogs cipher. It was called the site. But it was for long it was egos. It's always egos involved, you know I'm saying. Yeah, we was letting niggas know. We don't know niggas coming nigga. You know what I'm saying. You have a battle X me, you have a battle x nah, you have a battle of style. Na shake nat when you battle and you don't battle your own niggas.

You're gonna battle of nicke. I mean like internally, but but it wasn't you have a battle feeding the battle Pom five. We could we killed that. No, let me tell you something. It's an unwritten rule for m c's nigga with niggas get on the mic with each other. Nig I'm trying to kill you just know that we all know that. You know what I'm saying, He's aiming to make a hit. Yeah, it's still competitive nature. So I used to tell my niggas that all the times.

I used to try to let them know, like Nick, let me tell you something, get on this joint with me. You tying, so you better do the same than me. But I just trying to bring the best essence. But let him know, you know what I'm saying, like because because that's what I was about, and I'm wanting to get I want to hurt. You know what I'm saying. You know, this was very interesting. I want to stop, but I don't. We gotta stop. We gotta stop telling ante. I got to go until somebody got listen, you know,

and we're going out after this man. We're going and now no, no, no, let me ask that. Let me ask that Overseas country you got on smash that you you know every time you go there, this is your ship. You know, niggers out there, and what is it gotta be uk for me? I'm strong and bunched, and I'm strong and south wicked wicked poops actually went over there and conquered land pools, did like two to three years in London. So when you say that Steplocks, no Poops engineer,

producer and you hear all the mixtapes, drop that ship, Pops. Yeah, Poops went to l A and work on some movies with wood Um Harris London for two years. So we got foundations. Shout out to my brother Brad over there, I got a lot of I got deep Block Europe actually got artists over there, young ads, Arrow bigger, I got a few houtists, so you know strong and London real. Let's pick up Brixton right now. Listen, how did you lock Down're not clapping for you know, they must know

what they just want in on that piso. It's not a clapp thing right there. We can't clapp for you. But how did you lock down Brazil? How did that? Like you just go to Brazil at one point frequently, like like I go to Miami to Brazil. Tooked me up with them, like like sifteen years ago, bring no, let's do an album release for you and you't gonna drop album. Listen, Brazil is nice, yes, I know, Brazil's

like over there. I just want to go with you, my dad see your concert, Pops, on the coffee company. He be in Brazil a few times a month. We're gonna try this again. And I don't think anybody learned these words from the last time we talked about them. But remember the words anger er cassis, you know, if that's the way, I still don't think I'm saying it right, opulent. Well, if you're not familiar with those wine terms, which I'm

Bring us do that? All? Right? Well, what happened was um by the time I got my tale, I felt like I was vindicated. I was like, guess, finally, that's a big word. Finally. Yeah, I felt like it was old to me, big mistake in my hand. But that's another story.

But Um, an offer was made to me that if I could after I drop my first album, offer was made to me, then if I was able to um drop another album or recording the albums in thirty eight, there get a million dollars. It's the first time I happened to bellion correct. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, first house for the millions. That's I didn't have a name by it and alum the same Now, what was the first album? Wasn't name of it? Again? It's dark and hell us Hot and then um it wasn't he us Hot Blood

my Blood. Then there was X Got Nigga's like What's next and getting great priscient grand but that being but you was on rough House before that, I got signed a single rough Houselandia. That's that's history, right, Yeah, was like in the eighties. Eighties that was that was mid nightties House Sick was rough House Columbia. After you dropped two platforms. Let's just say comb that before I dropped

rough House Columbia. They think they they dropped the ball if they had ax, but they they signed me as a tach writer, designed me for one single. After we put the single out and it had a little, uh, you know, a little momentum, a little little push, and they they they they picked it up but didn't put any behind it. Okay, okay, cool. Let me tell you. I know what I'm capable of. I know what I'm gonna do, and then I'm glad. I bought the lots to rough Pridus you locked the lots. I bought a

lot of sub friders. I bought either of rough products. It's like drag Dag. They met and I kind of co signers. I signed this release, neame this and dragged from yer d from the bron Okay, okay, so tm X we got tm X in the building. I'm so thankful because you know what the crazy ship is. You know what I had to tell X. I had to keep it real with X. I said, your ex the inmates is really running the building. Because last time somebody told you that want to build it, it was just

grateful for the way you first. Yes, the last time someone told me it makes running the building, it makes wasn't. Really that was on Righting Island with him, so you didn't know, not you for sure? No mind him, I wasn't. I don't even have ever been the racks na, Na, I don't even on the one he bought. But I'll talk to you about it. Yeah, no, no fact to get to the story in Arizona and the Arizona one. Now listen, let me just tell you. So you want to tell the story, there's so many levels Stunn, so

many levels of that a stormy. But yeah, first the first part about it, so you know, typically when they jumped on the front with it, just dope. So you know, we all we all jumped on the foll minute. Then we go and I'm like, wait, wait, of course you can't here because you know in this dumb lab, I tasted him he gets away from because he was like mad part. I thought he was gonna go half a block and turned around and I think we was at um between you stop signs, just like at least a mile,

but like he'll stop. Maybe he's gonna stop TV joint. Yeah, and the smallest, the smallest was five hundreds, five hundreds, so that was the smallest in me. All ships was fast. Yeah. They get dipped off yo when he came out, because there was like at this is the stormy Yeah, people shooting the movie. I was shooting the movie and the horror movie. Yeah, the horrid movie. Yeah, uh fast purious. Yeah. I brought all them to that school and it's the crazies on him right there. You know, I said the

fight in my house. I bight in my house. I got the pool in the backyard. Family kids out there. So his men, Yo, get a boy. The pool takes these pins, so they got the thongs on. They get the white dude with the motherfucker long jumping like people are shooting the movie with people watch you got henny, yo, but acts let me just tell you that day right yo,

you was getting to me in the movie at that time. Yeah, and when when when you called me, you said, I said, you said you an Afrozona, you gotta come to you. And then and then I said, people a little while away was a two songs yeah yeah, yeah, two hours away too. And you know, let me to a song some people. Yeah right there. Wait that's a different God, let's get it. And X took here all my people. Listen, all my people. X took care of every well, this

same thing, all that everything. Man just cooking because it's the funny ship though, So don't stick home. My home girl, ohome girl. She was like, you know what I'm saying, like that I grew up with him. She's from the hood, so we in the house is this family environment. So she gets the wiping on him, but the nipples sits down by hawaist man the hands little because you know when nobody was part of it, like we get a family vinment to the north like like like I think

you kind of a there was a family linment. Nothing just like a bit of that. We are gonna yeah, I'm on that's home girl was like like she like he was like, no, you Auntie. The crazy ship and she was younger than both of us. But where is he? That was you cooking up with the nipples down the yo, Yo, it was a pleasure to have you there. No, man, let me tell you something, DMX, you most one of the most influential people in hip hop. You had you had you, you change the norm. You know from two

albums in the year. There's not a lot of people that could do that after you, before you, between you, not credible ones. And we appreciate you for sharing the drink Chance Podcast were assured that we were affended over that slapped it on. Yeah, and you're hit my red trunks, you got the red Timberland. We're keeping it real, flushing your food, your blood. So listen, let me ask you blood of my blood? Oh? Get down? Like what so everybody thought you was blood at one point? Are you

getting affiliate or you knew to fifty fifty? Are you getting you can do whatever you want? No, no, no bloods I got, I got, I got, I got the homies I'm seeing on the blood like the Whome Boys with quick real real niggas, with the kid real niggas kids. Tho, No, I'm not married to one side. One side the other. But but you're the dog, right dog? And and and what everything I did naturally dog red but all that it would look like but it wasn't leading that way.

It was leaning like I mean, I never like that got into it like that. And then I gotta ask you the same question we asked everybody, who was your favorite CEO? You've been You've been on ceo ceo like that, you had your back, they had your bell, money, you know whatever ceo that you was, the signs, it's the one um whoever you want to add, it's okay. I got to say, what's the work ship? Leo? No, you know what we call al? You call Ali Ali Ali. He doesn't want the name. But this, this is a

lot of people don't understand. The top three people at Depth Champ had lied in their name. I don't know where this is going. People. It was Lee or which is spelled l y or liar going um June Lee j U, l I eight live or Kevin lives. People, this makes noise? What did you get out of what is telling you? I just told you the top three people had lie in their name. But but but this is what bothered me because because Leo came to our studio thursdyk pro. I mean we find the city and

Yonkers and my draw was still wide shut. This is when you got signed. I heard about the story. This is when he knew he was signed me. My draw was wide shut, and the lobster God signed first to Buff and d from from from my Vince Darren men. He bought me, give me the puff. And one thing I respected about Puff, one thing I respect about him and real ship is that at least he told me

to my face what he felt. And when when D told puppets to Yo, if you liked the lots, you gonna love thats and I spent or whatever, and he was like, uh, his voice too, he's not margetable. M I didn't like it, but I had to respect. They funked up. Let's make some noise and Pa hold hold on. He came right behind and trying to clean up. So maybe three weeks later when when they found out I was getta signed. But that's like, yo, i'll lace your pockets.

I'll doubt what they gave you anilation pockets. I'm like, no, not only because if you didn't see that, I was playing to tell you that one point maybe three weeks after I got signed up chain because like, yo, laser pockets, I'll double they gave you anilation podcasts. I'm like, now I'm cool. So it's a leg you know story, you know I said, but it's it's a it's a I respect that about Paul right right. I mean because I go to a lot of motherfuckers. They they see you

in a wild goose. They they won't tell you today the industry. Back then, he told me to my face, she said, you know what your voice to you, You're not marketable. So at least he was will this in my mind when I think, what I think he's saying is work on this, so actually constructive criticism. It's a famous story that said that when you and jay Z battle, right because this this battle happened right correct, a couple of times, a couple of times ours. It wasn't just once.

So when you were one of the people so that they said that big Als saddle, do you remember big Al being there? Vaguely? No, I can't say not at all. I know big El No, big El, I'm a but she was trying to take jay Z. But it was it was re fighters had Halam nights right, there was the Project Billy right dead found um um um and Jay Crewe was original player, original player before day was

Hawaiian super Ship. So they was, it was there, it was there battles you battle him during here like I was a big gun on on on and he was a big gun with him and it wasn't Rocket Feller was original original with the group. Oh wow, so it was no Rocketeller, rocket Damn Dasher then Jameson but then um um you know their whole clue that origin whatever. So peterges Hawaiian. So yeah, that Hawaiian SOPHI nigga right, okay, and what so let's just get let's get come up,

we'll get respectful. Who Okay, I never lost the battle. I never fix never lost the battle. Yo yo. I'm a battle rapper. I'm a battle rapper. I'm a battle rapper. And there was a guy that you were like the battle right now if you looked at though, were life the battle. Yeah, like you said, no one I like the battm because there's a lot of rappers I don't like,

but I ain't. I ain't gonna cut their head off. No, I don't really him, but I ain't gonna ain't gonna blow the spot because now I have a platform where it might be hurtful to what they're doing, and it might seem like I ain't mad at I'm not mad

at wad niggas getting money. Yeah, I'm not mad at whack niggas getting when there's a lot of whack ass fucking rappers out there, But I ain't gonna put them all as because you know what, they have fans and when when you look at the big picture, it's like if if there's one rapper right that that has a hit record wherever, then he's gonna employ uh five of his friends and right that's at least seven people from

the hood for that. That's that's that that they don't have to worry about hustling or do whatever I'm stealing or this. There's at least that many people that's removed from the struggle. So it's it's a blessing. I look at like like God did that for them. God did that for them. Whether they recognize it or not, that's that's it don't matter. But but but they're in a better place and they're able to help others and they inspire people. So that's why my eye. If you're successful,

it's been cool. I mean, I don't want to take over the whole market. I don't want to take over the whole market. And he walked in the dark from my steps to guide it. No matter how thought my path gets, I lighted. I ain't never been ashamed of the pain. Can't hide it. Yeah, the road, it's not what I decided to ride it step carefully, Eve, but half of me he walked reckless. Leave. That's just the extra me. Captain Pop like extra CEO. But he sounds just thank you him be just an extra me. But

I'm gonna keep it real. Joe Schmall who just started stopped working from the crab house and he want to start rhyming. He just do Bible off the Dad. That's his first ship. You want to give him respect. But at the same time, when he don't understand the record, it's hard. It's hard to continue. Now, you got the you got the adapt me. No, everybody, this is the first time I'm actually saying it. So I've been we

are from a different era. If you don't wake up tomorrow morning, realized that we don't wake up the next morning. Behind talk people now it's not a the integrity level of artists, the loyalty of artists, the business mind frame that they treat the niggles. It's so, what are you gonna sit there and say, well, in my day, you can't do that no more. Now it's about now, it's

about you're hustler. Right when when? When? When? When? When niggas was smoking regular weed and then creep came out creepy and then hydro and then and then it went to Christian when it was are you still selling seeds with sticks? Or are you gonna switch your fucking hustle and get the funk out club? Then do what you gotta do. Niggas ain't niggas ain't selling tap selling. I'm gonna go get CDs and I'm gonna sell CDs. Niggas Okay,

Now it's uh uh what is it? Downloads? Right? The fucking I Tunes ship Okay, niggas selling it was blackstop now it's that screams screams Now. It was if a nigga play your record one time, you get paid. That's the avenue that we They just made it so easy from us for us. If we take out old mentality, are fucking crack ways are crack mentality and put it to the digital role. It's fucking easy, bro. But you get there. You get the idea young the nerds to work.

They want to do that for the phrases are you're gonna feel it when a young nigger recreate Bible on the dash and you get nothing out of that's cool. I can trip. I know this is no. I don't want nothing that I want about the money. I want your affect or you know what it's about that supposed to Hold on, let me say this, I say something. Goddamn you know. You know what affected me was when I sink the brother who did it and he didn't even know who I was. But it bother you. I

know it, you know. And I ain't tripping because they That's when I go back to tell you at these little niggas called us o geez. But listen, listen, hold on a second coupalking right, they call us o gez because right now before, back in the days, you're o geez. You respected. These little niggas gonna be soaked. No, but they're not listening. Hold on, but he just said he started. It's a spark that started that just kept that's my

little cousin, right. Imagine my little cousin to box, right, and he was nice in boxing and chill, chill, listen. And I shot the police right on. He's listen listen, and he can box. And I shot the police just because he can box. And he never shot me. See, he never saw me shoot the police. He don't think you could whip his big cousin. Ad.
