First of all, you don't know me. Were all about that high school drama, Girl drama girl, all about them high school queens. We'll take you for a ride in our comic girl Cheering for the drama Queen's Girl Fashion. But you'll tough, girl. You could sit with us Girl Drama Queens, Drama, Queen's Drama, Queen's Drama, John mc Queen's Drama Queens. Oh Ho Ho Ho. Merry Christmas everyone, and

happy holidays all around. We're here for you here really, Holidays everybody, to everybody who just celebrated Hanukah, everyone who's celebrating Christmas today, everyone who's celebrating Clansa tomorrow. There's so much merriment to be made season at joy. I mean, I like like pagan um rituals were like with winter Solstice. It's just me that we get to shut down, guys, we get to like shut down. I love it, and it's fun to have a melting pot of all of

our different traditions. What are you guys doing this Christmas? Um? Okay, so I'm probably going to stay here and just nest in my new house. Um. I I celebrate Christmas and it's a it's my favorite holiday. It's a meaningful holiday

for me um as a Christian. I just it's a beautiful time for me to really like recenter myself, which I just love, um the excuse to be able to do that, because it's just so busy and you know, we're all rushing around and trying to make sure we have gifts for everyone, which is so lovely, and but I get caught up in it also, Um, it's nice to have a reason to just settle and get quiet. And what do you guys like to do for your holidays?

I feel like with the pandemic, we weren't allowed to follow a lot of our typical traditions for a long time, and so our family has traditionally gone to astor house here in rhyin Beck and hung out with the kids still live there, and like it's dorky stuff, you know, like we wear goofy slippers and we sing songs and we read books and it's super cute and then like my so important. My favorite favorite thing to do on you on Christmas Eve is find like a local churches. Um,

like nativity play. I love like community theater play. I'll go anywhere if I can see some and the sting, but I love it. There was a church in Wilmington's that would let all the kids in the congregation um be in the play and like there's three donkeys and there's three sheep. But then the little kids could dress up as anything they wanted, so there was like Scooby Doo and a t Rex and like literally any animal they wanted to be. I think I just like the

community involvement of the holiday season. That's my favor everything. Yeah, me too. I think what I love is, you know, to your point about following nature is slowing down. I love hibernation season, being inside earlier, lighting a fire, you know, making slower meals, having earlier dinner times with friends and family. Like there's something about coming in and being cozy and slow that I love about this season and easier. Yeah, and and I mean, you know, the sun goes down

so much earlier. I'm tired earlier. I feel like I feel like there's permission to catch up on rest. And one of the things I love so much, you know, growing up in a family that celebrated Hanukah and Christmas is the permission to learn what's important to people. That's

really what that gave to me. You know, having to holidays in our home meant that I got really curious about other people's holidays and other traditions, and so for me, it became really special to to dig into other spaces, you know, whether that was learning about Quanza, whether that was taking a you know, a year to study Eastern philosophy or a year of Islamic study in high school.

Like really learning about where people find a belief has helped me see what I think is sort of the through line everywhere, and interestingly always brings me back to how special nature is to to like really the sacred space of where we live on this planet together. Yeah, it really just it makes me um want to get still and and you know reflect on community on all of us like being together, and I think for that reason, it's really one of my favorite times of the year.

I always wanted to celebrate Hanukah, and we never I mean my parents weren' Jewish, so they didn't ever do that. And I've never had a chance to like the really I mean, I've been to a stater and I've been to friend's houses for like a day or a night, but I've never really down the full what do you do? I mean it, you know, it depends now, especially that everyone is sort of like older and all over the place. We we make sure that we're together at least either

on the first or the last night. But it is really special, especially when you're when you're little, to like be with your whole family and have this ritual for you days. It's really beautiful. And again I think I think the way we all crave like a slowness there, there's something so amazing about the routine of it, you know, ceremonially. Yeah,

the nightly ceremony is really really special. Well, we hope wherever you guys are at home, you are with people that you love, or you're taking some time for yourself and really like enjoying your time. This is a great season of reflection and we're so grateful for everything that you guys have have given to us and reflected with us.

You know, that's what our whole shows about. Yeah, when we talk about community, you know, that's obviously the three of us here, but that's also all of you at home with us, and whether you're with family or like us three on this zoom, you're chosen family. It's um, it's certainly a season that we hope you all feel

loved and appreciated. Yeah, we love you guys. My prayer for all of us is that the God of our understanding would speak to us all in a way that um inspires us and is encouraging and brings us into a new place of peace and joy for the new year. There's lots of love and I sure hope for that new year. I just gotta say it. I know a lot of people really beat up on themselves with New Year's resolutions. Oh no, no, no, you know that the spirit of our show is like taking something we do

and making it better and cooler. So I would love to ask you know that you guys join us in doing something that we do together, which is we set like intentions, badassy, like badass lady goals. We don't punish ourselves with resolutions. So if you guys want to like get intentional and stir up some ship with us, some drama, drama, some drama. All right, we will see you guys, and three, hey, thanks for listening. Don't forget to leave us a review.
