[SPEAKER_03]: Hello, and welcome to Dragonfly Tales, a story podcast with me, Emily. [SPEAKER_03]: And each episode, I'll tell you a story from around the world, and share some fun and silly things with you. [SPEAKER_03]: It's July everyone, summer time here in the UK and we're really excited for the holidays. [SPEAKER_03]: We're going to be building sandcastles, eating lots of ice cream and paddling in the sea.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's if I can get Leo in the sea sometimes he's really nervous of the sea. [SPEAKER_03]: He imagines he's going to get captured by an octopus or have a shark chasing. [SPEAKER_03]: But every time he goes swimming in the sea, he absolutely loves it. [SPEAKER_03]: Silly Leo. [SPEAKER_03]: Are you going somewhere on holiday? [SPEAKER_03]: Well, even if you're staying at home this summer, we'll still be bringing you lots of stories to listen to.
[SPEAKER_03]: In fact, if you have a favourite fairy tale or folk tale that we haven't told on the podcast, why don't you get in touch and recommend it? [SPEAKER_03]: We've also got a three-minute myth coming soon over on Patreon and a bonus story at the end of this month. [SPEAKER_03]: You must check it out. [SPEAKER_03]: And I'd like to say a huge thank you to all our patrons for helping to keep us going. [SPEAKER_03]: And here's a shout out to some brand new patrons.
[SPEAKER_03]: Firstly, we have Inares and Ezra. [SPEAKER_03]: They've just joined us and become little sprites over on Patreon. [SPEAKER_03]: Hi folks, thanks for listening. [SPEAKER_03]: Also, we have two more new little sprites, YUMNA, who is four, her favorite episode is Little Duckie in the Turkish Sultan. [SPEAKER_03]: I love that one too. [SPEAKER_03]: And also her big sister Aziza. [SPEAKER_03]: Her favorite episode is The Snow Queen. [SPEAKER_03]: Lovely episodes.
[SPEAKER_03]: Aziza is also turning six at the end of July, so we want to wish you a happy birthday Aziza and thanks for listening folks. [SPEAKER_03]: And because it's July, we have loads more birthday shoutouts coming up for all our July babies. [SPEAKER_03]: There's a lot of you. [SPEAKER_03]: They'll be happening after our story, so keep listening, little sprites, and power pixies.
[SPEAKER_03]: If you're new to Patreon, be sure your grown-up checks out the welcome message and send us your name, age, town, and your favorite episodes. [SPEAKER_03]: You can also tell us your birthday month and we'll give you a shout out. [SPEAKER_03]: Solessness. [SPEAKER_03]: We were so excited by our Greek myth adventure, but for a change I thought it might be nice to tell a story that everyone probably knows quite well. [SPEAKER_03]: It's a very famous fairy tale from Norway.
[SPEAKER_03]: It has a bridge. [SPEAKER_03]: It has a troll and three animals. [SPEAKER_03]: Can you guess what the story is? [SPEAKER_03]: That's right. [SPEAKER_03]: The three Billy Goats gruff. [SPEAKER_03]: As it's such a plastic well-known tale, I hope you'll join in with me as I tell this story. [SPEAKER_03]: And I think we should start with the classic once upon a time. [SPEAKER_03]: Once upon a time, there were three Billy Goats gruff. [SPEAKER_03]: Little Billy Goagraph.
[SPEAKER_03]: Middle Billy Goagraph. [SPEAKER_03]: And great, big Billy Goagraph. [SPEAKER_03]: They lived in a lovely field in a nice green valley and they so enjoyed to spend their days munching the grass like this. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, one day, little Billy Gow graph was munching happily when he spied another field. [SPEAKER_03]: And in the field was grass that looked so sweet and so green. [SPEAKER_03]: His little mouth began to water.
[SPEAKER_03]: I want to eat the sweet green grass in that lovely field. [SPEAKER_03]: But there was only one way to get to the lovely field. [SPEAKER_03]: Across a rickety old bridge over a rushing river, and under the bridge lived a hideous, horrible, terrible troll. [SPEAKER_03]: Nobody was able to cross the bridge, or the troll would gobble them up. [SPEAKER_03]: And there was nothing that troll liked better than to gobble up a nice juicy Billy goat.
[SPEAKER_03]: But little Billy goat gruffs so long to eat the sweet green grass he decided to cross the bridge. [SPEAKER_03]: He put one little hoof on the rickety wooden bridge and then another hoof and off he went. [SPEAKER_03]: Trip, trap, trip, trap, over the bridge. [SPEAKER_03]: Can you do that? [SPEAKER_03]: Trip, trap, trip, trap, over the bridge. [SPEAKER_03]: He went all the way to the middle of the bridge when [SPEAKER_03]: jumped the hideous horrible terrible troll.
[SPEAKER_03]: He was covered in a tangle of hideous hair. [SPEAKER_03]: He had broken teeth in his horrible mouth, and he wrought that the Billy Goat in his terrible voice. [SPEAKER_01]: Who's that trip trapping over my bridge? [SPEAKER_03]: Little Billy Goat gruff was shaking with fear. [SPEAKER_03]: He squeaked. [SPEAKER_03]: Little Billy Gow graph. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm going across the bridge to eat the sweet green grass. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, no, you're not.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna eat you for my tea. [SPEAKER_03]: Little Billy Goat gruff was terrified. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, please, don't eat me. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm too little. [SPEAKER_03]: Wait for my brother. [SPEAKER_03]: He is bigger and tastier than me. [SPEAKER_03]: The hideous, horrible, terrible troll scratched his ugly head and said. [SPEAKER_01]: All right, off you go before I change my mind. [SPEAKER_03]: And little Billy Goat gruff crossed the bridge as quickly as his little hooves could go.
[SPEAKER_03]: Are you ready? [SPEAKER_03]: Trap, trap, trap, trap over the bridge. [SPEAKER_03]: Trap, trap, trap over the bridge. [SPEAKER_03]: Trap, trap, trap over the bridge. [SPEAKER_03]: All the way to the lovely field. [SPEAKER_03]: And there, little Billy Goat gruff began to eat the sweet green grass. [SPEAKER_03]: Like this. [SPEAKER_03]: Soon enough, Medell Billy Goat Graph looked across and saw his little brother in the lovely field.
[SPEAKER_03]: I want to eat the swaying grass in that lovely field. [SPEAKER_03]: So he decided to cross the bridge. [SPEAKER_03]: He put one medium hoof on the rickety wooden bridge and then another hoof and off he went. [SPEAKER_03]: Trip, trap, trip, trap over the bridge. [SPEAKER_03]: Can you do that? [SPEAKER_03]: Trip, trap, trip, trap over the bridge. [SPEAKER_03]: A trip, trip, trip, trip. [SPEAKER_03]: Over the bridge.
[SPEAKER_03]: He went all the way to the middle of the bridge, when... Oh, jumped. [SPEAKER_03]: The hideous, horrible, terrible troll and he roared at the Billy Goat in his terrible voice. [SPEAKER_03]: Who's that trip trapping over my bridge? [SPEAKER_03]: middle Billy Goldcraft was quaking with fear. [SPEAKER_03]: It's only me. [SPEAKER_03]: He shrieked. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh Billy Goldcraft, I'm going across the bridge to eat the sweet green grass. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, no, you're nuts.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm the terrible troll. [SPEAKER_01]: Hey, hey, hey. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna eat you for my tea. [SPEAKER_03]: Middle Billy goat gruff was horrified. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh please, don't eat me. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm not big enough to fill you up. [SPEAKER_03]: Why don't you wait for my brother? [SPEAKER_03]: He's bigger and tastier than me. [SPEAKER_03]: The hideous, horrible, terrible troll scratched his ugly head and set. [SPEAKER_01]: All right, off you go. [SPEAKER_01]: Be full.
[SPEAKER_01]: I changed my... [SPEAKER_03]: And middle Billy goat gruff crossed the bridge as quickly as his medium hooves could go. [SPEAKER_03]: Are you ready? [SPEAKER_03]: Trip, trap, trip, trap over the bridge. [SPEAKER_03]: Trip, trap, trap, trap, trap over the bridge. [SPEAKER_03]: All the way to the lovely field. [SPEAKER_03]: And there he met little Billy goat gruff. [SPEAKER_03]: And they both began to eat the sweet green grass, like this.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yom, yom, yom, yom, yom, yom, yom, yom, yom, yom, yom. [SPEAKER_03]: Now soon after, great big Billy goat graph looked over and saw his two brothers eating happily in the lovely field. [SPEAKER_01]: I want to aid the sweet green grass in the lovely field. [SPEAKER_03]: So he decided to cross the bridge. [SPEAKER_03]: He put one huge hoof on the rickety wooden bridge and it wobbled a bit and then he put another hoof and it wobbled a bit more and off he went.
[SPEAKER_03]: Trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip,
[SPEAKER_03]: jumped the hideous horrible terrible troll and he wrought the Billy Goat in his terrible voice. [SPEAKER_01]: Who's that trip trapping over my bridge? [SPEAKER_01]: It's me, begbly go graph. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm going across the bridge to eat the sweet green grass with my brothers. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, no, you're not, he, he, he. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna eat you for my tea.
[SPEAKER_03]: Big Billy goat gruff, snorted, and he moved toward the troll on his huge hooves, boom, boom, making the whole bridge wobble. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, no, you're not. [SPEAKER_03]: And he lowered his huge horned head toward the hideous horrible, terrible troll. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yes I am! [SPEAKER_01]: You'll see! [SPEAKER_03]: Then the troll rushed at big Billy Goat gruff, but the goat was ready, and he charged at the troll, are you ready?
[SPEAKER_03]: Trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip, trip

[SPEAKER_03]: And big, billy-go-graph. [SPEAKER_03]: Walked across the bridge to the lovely field. [SPEAKER_03]: Trip, trap, trip, trap, boom, boom.
