The diagnostic algorithm for primary amenorrhea is extremely logical once one understands this pathophysiology. While some patients presenting with primary amenorrhea are indeed genetic females, some are actually 46XY. Do you remember the difference between Swyer syndrome and androgen insensitivity (AIS)?
