Sleep Apnea is a very
very wide spread problem. Sleep apnea. Now, some people that have sleep apnea are also snores. We know that approximately thirty nine million US adults have
what is called obstructive sleep apnea. Now, they may be snoozing right now and not able to listen to this radio show because they've been struggling all night, or they are on a seepap machine, which I'm going to tell you a frightening story about an individual that was using one of these sleep apnea machines, these seepap devices, and he claims that it gave him kidney cancer.
We'll get into that shortly here. But what is always amazing as I'm watching these programs and commercials about sleep apne, because it is a common problem. Ninety four percent of patients that have this sleep apnea where people cannot breathe normally at night, they get clogged up, or they're breathing stops, or they snore and they're interrupted. They'll stop breathing and then all of a sudden they'll start back up again, and sometimes they'll cough, and it disturbs their sleep
all night long. And when sleep apnea and these kinds of deep chronic snoring issues occur, it can lead to all kinds of health adverse health ramifications, from heart issues to kidney problems to metabolic health complications that includes diabetes. Now, the Food Administration says that at least hundreds of deaths have been linked to using these SEEPPAP. Otherwise, the initials mean continuous positive airway pressure devices.
This is these devices just keep that air flowing down, because what happens in people who snore or people who have this obstructive sleep apnea is the back of their throat, their soft palette, it sort of collapses, and then of course the column of air that you're trying to take in does not go past. And many of these people, you know they're mouth breathers, they don't breathe through the nose because they're sinuses. I guess they're clogged up, or
they have nasal congesities don't breathe through their nose. And that is a very common problem and that can be solved very easily. So if you know somebody, maybe you you know your mouth breather at night, because when you wake up in the morning, you're like cotton mouth, like you've been I'll drinking all night long and yet you haven't been, but yet you have dry mouth. Why is that? It's because your mouth is dropped open and you're not

I want to talk about these seapap machines and this story, this particular story about this sheriff, sixty two year old sheriff in the state of Louisiana, who is suing and claiming that his sleep apnea mask, the mask that he wore at night for years to give him this positive airway flow that this machine, this seapap machine, was generating.
He is now suing because he believes that the mask itself caused him to develop kidney cancer, and so he's battling kidney cancer right now as a result of the exposure of this ill advised manufacturing of this mask by a company by the name of Phillips. It's a large company. They make a lot of things, and one of the things they make are these breathing machines. His
name is Sheriff Brett Sassy stasy A Stassi. Sheriff Brett Stassy. He had been using his Phillips dream Station sepap mask every single night for four years to treat his sleep apnea, And again, sleep apne is a serious problem. library. All right, if you're just tuning into the program, I'm talking about a sheriff in Louisiana, sixty two year old sheriff by the name of Brett Stassey. He is claiming that the Phillips dream Station seepap machine and its mask that he wore for four years trying to help him with sleep apne.
Sleep apnea being a condition where you're trying to sleep and your breathing is interrupted because you just stop breathing, and there's a lot of different causes behind it believed to be and it's not a one of those things where you go, oh yeah, just do this, take this pill, take this powder, take this potion. No, no, no, nothing like that there.
It's complicated. However, there are ways to help it. And I've helped many people with snoring problems and with sleep apnea that are no longer using these seapap machines, are no longer snoring, And I'd be happy to assist you should you just wind me up. But meanwhile, let's get back to the story about this individual who's suing because he claims that his kidney cancer, who he's struggling with right now, was caused by breathing in this mask that was
attached to this seapap machine, which increases airflow. You put it over your face. You've probably seen them before. Looks like somebody you know is in a that goes nine to one one in an ambulance or is an emergency room and has this plastic mask over their face where they're infusing oxygen in. These seapap machines give a positive airflow to hold the throat open so that you're breathing and not stopping. That takes the pressure off of your heart in all the
systems that are associated with it, which is the whole body. Now, in this particular individual's case, he was struggling, that's why he went to his doctor. That's why his doctor recommended the seapap machine, and he ended
up with the Phillips dream Station SEAPEP. But now come to find out the mask that was attached to that apparently there's particles, some type of biochemical particles that have been discharged from that mask because he's breathing in that infused into his body that ultimately ultimately made it to his kidneys, and he claims his generated
kidney cancer. Now this is not some isolated case. There are hundreds and hundreds of deaths that have been linked to the Phillips company and their seapap devices. They're just one company, probably many companies who make these devices. Now,
in this case, there may be a faulty device itself. The concept of seapap is a you know, scient typically proven one that you can change a person's trajectory of illness and their potential risk of dying from a high blood pressure strain on their heart, strain on their brain by not breathing at night and being constantly interrupted. However, when a machine, however, you're breathing in toxic petrochemicals that are coming off the mask, that's a whole other story.
And apparently, one month before the recall of this particular machine, back a few years back, mister Stossi, the sixty two year old Louisiana sheriff, was rushed into an emergency surgery after a routine doctor visit found that he had kidney cancer. Now he had to undergo surgery to remove his right kidney. So he's missing a kidney as a result of cancer taking over his kidney.
Meanwhile, as I mentioned, nearly six hundred people who used the now recalled seapap machine, and there are probably a whole bunch of them floating out there that people are still using them. But it didn't even know about the
recall. And this is a call to action in case you know somebody's got a seapap machine and they've got one that's got Phillips the company Phillips stamped on it, you need to tell them about this to make sure they don't have one of the the recalled machines that have not been going not have been recalled
back into the company. And so that's important because these machines have not been used over the last three years because of illness is linked to a foam, some type of a petrochemical foam and potentially toxic gases that blow into the user's airway while they wear this device. So here they're trying to breathe through this mask that the seepat machine is generating this positive airflow pressure to keep their palette, their soft palette in the back of their throat from collapsing, not allowing
them to breathe. And that's why they get interrupted and they stop breathing and they start choking. And by the way, snoring is a mild form of sleep apnea. breathe that have sleep apnea obstructive sleep apnea, which is people who start off snoring and then they progress usually this is how it happens, and then they start getting into the night, deep into the night, and they stop breathing,
and then suddenly their brain and their heart kicks them into jump. They jump back in the you know, the hop back, and their partners are going crazy because they're waking them up, and you know, it's just a very bad scenario to have the body move from sixty miles an hour to zero stop and then go back to sixty miles an hour, you know, metabolically, really hard on the heart, really hard on the brain, heart and
the blood vessels. I mean I counted at least what fifteen or twenty different versions of these machines. Who knows why they need to make these? The Omni Lab Advance, the Trilogy one hundred, Ventilator, The Dream Station, the A series
bypap, on and on and on. The problem stems from a type of foam apparently in these seapap machines used in the headgear of the machine that affixes around the head and is connected. It looks like a snorkel. It's a snorkel like device, and it's meant to dampen the sound and the vibrations of the machine you know that's operating, that's putting this positive airflow into that person's
throat to keep their throat open so the soft palette does not collapse. And here we're gonna get back to the topic of snoring and sleep apnea and this tragic scenario of people dying as a result of a faulty machine made by the company Phillips. And there may be others out there. We're not just picking on Phillips. I'm sure there are others out there. But we know that there are approximately forty million US adults who have been diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea.
Now, snoring is a common symptom of sleep apnea and up to about ninety four ninety five percent of patients but untreated. You know, and they're breathing

This positive pressure keeps that little soft palate in the throat open so that the person doesn't stop breathing. There's a reason for that collapse,
most of the cases there are, anyway, they're still studying it. Of course, I've had many many patients respond positively to natural forms of health care getting to the actual cause of their snoring or the cause of their sleep apnea,
which many believe is possible. But we're trying to focus on this individual's case because there may be others like him out there that don't even know that this machine has been even recalled, or maybe having sleep apnea themselves, or be impacted by sleep apnea in some way that they could actually get out of

I remember years ago there were doctors who would be willing to cut the back of your throat out and do some type of slicing, dicing or procedure to try to remedy this collapsed soft palette tissue in the back of your throat that's actually shutting off your breathing while you sleep. Oh, there are doctors who I'm sure still do that. And there, on the other hand, there are doctors who say, well, no, let's not do the surgery. That's invasive. Let's
just do the machine. We'll give you. Here's a prescription. Go get the sleep apnea machine and start on that every night. And you basically wear this mask over your face and it's gone uncomfortable and it's a mess and you
have to clean it and it's just it's a disaster. But it's good that there are people who have benefited by this and do benefit by it every single day because it lowers a risk, but they're also not then at that point, they've given up just because their doctor couldn't address their underlying reason why they have sleepep apnea or snoring, which is how it starts, and therefore they do the sleep apnea machine, which is a band aid approach. It's managing
the disease rather than actually helping the patient to cure the disease. And there are many reasons for this, and all you have to do is just ask me and I will tell you. But I'm trying to focus in right now on this sheriff, sixty two year old Sheriff's problem with because it could help others who are listening that are in the same predicament are at risk. We
don't want that. These devices, these sleep apnea devices, deliver this continuous pressurized air through the person's airway via the mask that's connected to tubing, which is connected to the machine, which is connected to the wall, and the airflow pressure is precisely high enough to keep the airway from collapsing when the muscles at the back of the throat relax that's the problem resulting in a continuous sleep
without interrupting or waking or choking, which I described. Now. In addition to recalling these CEPAP machines, these continuous positive airway pressure machines, the company is also recalling similar machines called BYPAP or BI level positive airway pressure machines, and there's a number of those. Recent reporting from pro Publica revealed that Phillips knew these products had foam and had faulty products, and they were dangerous to
the public. They had knowledge of it, and they withheld withheld more than almost four thousand complaints about the machines and almost four hundred deaths from the FDA over eleven year period of time.
