Rheannon 0:00
Okay, let's get to brass tacks we need to talk about being dicked down in Dallas. Yeah, so here's the deal. I went to pick up the pool table with my brother in. This is starting off weird in Bend and my wife, and he was using his, he we finally connected his phone to my truck. So he was controlling the music for the large portion of the time. We're just cruising and I haven't been listened to a lot of music. We're just cruising and all of a sudden that song comes on. And it takes me like two bars to realize the guy saying dict down in Dallas. And then he's like getting railed in Raleigh two times in Tennessee, like it goes on and on and on. Like, but fuckin be written. I don't know if that's really a lyric but so I have. I have a job for you. I would like go to on your Spotify sometime this weekend or week. Just listen to the song dig down in Dallas and give me your review because my wife, I think by the time we did the 12 hour trip, I had heard it four times. Wow. Yeah. And then my wife, we got home and she was like in the shower, listen to like music and I was shooting pool. And then she comes out and she goes and also says like two time to Tennessee and then like she was like finding all these little gems in it. So a dirty country song exists and it's called dicked down in Dallas.
Tamara 1:26
I'm like, mostly afraid.
Rheannon 1:30
Yeah, like Google like you want to stay safe and Spotify cuz like a Google search is gonna bring you a whole range of things that you probably don't
Tamara 1:38
know.
terrifying. Yeah, Google. I'm happy to check it out. I have not heard of that song. I don't know how I've been missing out my whole life not knowing it.
Rheannon 1:53
I would just like your review on on the artistic nature of the song
Tamara 2:07
What do you say that this is like your brother listens to a lot of country music was this like, Oh yeah, where did like this come from?
Rheannon 2:16
Well, and here's the deal. I haven't been listened to a lot of country music and then I hit his like playlist is damn near all country music. But he has good country tastes like I like the older school kind of country. And there was this guy on there. And he's I was like, Man, this would be really cool to listen on a record like he was really good. And then the next song was dict down in Dallas. And I was like, in the vibe of the last artist like and I'm just driving through beautiful Eastern Oregon. All of a sudden, like it just had it unfolded itself in slow motion. I'm like enjoying the song and then like a couple bars in im like the fuck did he just pick down Dallas? And then it just it's like an onion. It just keeps going. Keep it is layered. It is layered.
Tamara 3:01
I mean, that sounds mostly awful. But I mean, I I'm curious. I guess I will for the pod. I mean, worst case. No fast and it's on brand with the pod. So I mean, I who am I to to to shy away from an opportunity to learn new music and yeah, but then you your verdict would be not what dict down in Dallas is in what was it Dixie? Who was it?
Rheannon 3:41
dicked down in Dallas to timed in Tennessee
Tamara 3:43
dick down in Dallas? Yikes would not be your your first vinyl purchase. And no, no, no, no.
Rheannon 3:52
I'm gonna go ahead and skip that. I'm gonna skip it. It's got an old country flair. But I just you know, and here's the thing. I'm excited about the vinyl exploration because like, it's less like, demand now. Like, you can't just like burn a song like I kill songs because I just play them on repeat. Like you're in it for the album experience. So to be honest, if dict down in Dallas is his star song. I just think it's gonna go downhill from there. So I don't think I could do a whole album of the guy.
So
Tamara 4:26
yeah, hi.
Hi. I was just saying that I think albums do make you think about just records make you think about albums more holistically. I can't pick one song from an artist or one song from an album like I want to find an album where like the whole thing front to back because you're really only listening to it. Yeah, front to back. Quite literally. But so hey, I
Rheannon 4:53
had alligator sausage. I'm so excited. We drove to bend for the food. We stayed over night just for the food. And to avoid a 12 hour day drive in one day. And so we decided my brother had all the restaurants picked out and then my wife wasn't going to go. And then she ended up going. And so she threw in the third restaurant. So we went and we got an entree from each. And we each had a little bit of the entree, but we didn't really plan about like how it would taste all together. So we had sushi, Cuban food, and then we had sausages.
Tamara 5:26
Did you contribute the sausages?
Rheannon 5:28
Yeah, yeah, I
Tamara 5:30
was.
Rheannon 5:31
But I was driving and they were like planning on the menu. And then we got parked. And I obviously didn't have like the the research in and they're like, you just order in the sausages. And I was like,
Okay, what do
we want? And then my wife was pissed, because I didn't get elk. And I got two alligator ones and like, but they were very delightful. And it was very good.
Tamara 5:51
Good. I've had alligator before. I don't remember where. You know, we had, we had Rocky Mountain oysters.
You
had an old testicles? Yes, that's what it was. Maybe it was a trip to Florida. I don't remember now. But I am wanting to try to try weird food at least once. Because sometimes it's like, totally fine. And it's not too bad. But would you? So was it hard to narrow it down just to three places? I mean, to go to such a big city?
Rheannon 6:35
No, I mean, well, because we didn't want to buy tons of food. And there was only three of us. So three entrees made sense. And I like I said I did the driving so the other two planned it out.
Tamara 6:47
Nice. Yeah. Well, it sounds like it was a successful weekend. The foosball table and the pool table has been retrieved successfully.
Rheannon 6:59
Yep. For about 20 hours, I think.
Tamara 7:03
Is there a reigning pool table champion or foosball table champion?
Rheannon 7:08
Okay, so foosball is anybody's game. We actually played the foosball table so hard. I had to order foods juice to lube it. Yeah. So yeah. And then my my brother's fairly good and generally wins. I usually whenever Theresa, although tonight, I did not. I did win and lose. And then our brother in law who grew up like for his entire childhood with a pool table. that fucker is good. And so he's like, he's the guy to beat. I don't think he Oh, he has lost once in the game room. But that's because he was on my team and I lost it for us. So interest currently undefeated as a single player.
Tamara 7:53
Interesting. Was that like the type person like if you are going to play teams, like he's taking a niece on his team to,
Rheannon 8:01
to maybe that's but we don't have the short poles yet. So the nice is having played on the pool table, but they have played on the foosball table and it was fun for like an hour and then we started playing pool and they were playing fields, and they fucking melted down. There's a new house rule that the kids can't play foods without adult presence.
Tamara 8:22
I mean, you know, emotions can run hot. I myself have experienced that. So it all tracks that pretty much 100% tracks. But yeah, we had a exciting week as well our couches arrived. They cozy Oh comfy. They're so comfy. And it's funny because I feel like the the cats are more willing to like lounge or hang out with us. It's rare to have the whole whole household all three humans and all cats in the same place. But since the couch is so big, everyone like has enough room to like move out like everybody can have their own cushion and like the kids don't need their own cars. You know what I mean? Like they're Yeah, they're little. But yeah, so it has been great to you know, hang out in the Capitol hang out and we'll like have a fire watch TV. It's been great. So I have not had to sit on the floor in the living room anymore. So that the router with your
ass
happened just the one time so yeah, so that happened. We did though my roommate did a little bit of wheeling and dealing. They've been trying to get rid of this giant beanbag chair that my other roommate has been husband wife duo. He loves it. And wife has been trying to get rid of it for a long time husband was like, I don't know. Like I'll play video games upstairs. And like it's fun. Like, it's cool, I really like it. And my other roommate, she's been like, we gotta get rid of it, we, we should get with it. And it's like, you can't say we you, you want it. And so I almost, like make a point of it, but I like it too. Like if I'm playing video games, I'll sit on it too. And so you know what I mean? Anyways, so she's been trying to get wheeling and dealing it. So she had her her sister's dropping something off. And so she was like, Oh, you know what, like, you know, we read this, I think would be just so much better at your house caught like, do you want to look at it, I can carry it downstairs for you here, little fist, this will fit right in your car.
Rheannon 10:47
This will be without permission.
Tamara 10:50
It had been talked about baby getting ready. And so so then I guess the conversation then turned to my buddy was like to her husband was like, God, like think of how much like the kids will enjoy it. They're gonna study on it. They're gonna use it every day in their house. And we don't you know, we don't use it every day in our house. And like, it'll just be so great for their family. And so sure enough, it left in like the span of five minutes. It was like, God, it was like wheel and deal. And I was like, what I blinked and I was like, What happened? And so more space in the video movie room. But part of me is kind of sad. Because I haven't played video games yet. But if I go play video games, I can't sit on the beanbag anymore because it's the power. Well, there's also a couch in there, but I'm just saying like, I, I liked it. And now it's gone. But you know, moving on moving up new things. So yeah.
Rheannon 11:59
Was the husband like, okay, or was he like,
Tamara 12:02
yeah, like, he's like, they're really gonna enjoy it and like, they're gonna use it more and like, you know, it's good for that. I, uh, I was like, okay, like, that's great. But that's the thing is like, you know, we're, you know, now there's like, do we want to put a different piece of furniture up there? And I was like, No, I think it's fine. But it probably will happen. But that's the thing of like, you know, evolution. I've never really been one to like, be like, these are my decorations for this season. And then the operations go down to them, the spring decorations go up. And we're that fancy in this house. So I was like, when does the spring decorations go up? And I think we're getting close to it.
Rheannon 12:47
I think at the end of the month would be more springy, wouldn't it?
Tamara 12:51
I don't know. It's all just raining at this point over here. It doesn't feel that
Rheannon 12:54
different. Yeah, I mean, life choices on your part. But
Tamara 13:00
are you gonna watch the Super Bowl? I don't think so. I mean, I'll be working through a good chunk of it. Oh, we go off work at three. What time does the game Star
Rheannon 13:15
330
Tamara 13:16
Oh, actually, I'm not working through any of it. Clearly, I've been paying very close attention to the Super Bowl. I don't even know who's playing.
Rheannon 13:26
I was gonna say the Patriot that the Buccaneers and the chiefs. Okay.
Totally. Okay. Yeah, well, we're
supposed to be skiing this weekend, but like, there's a chance that it might be get canceled A slight chance. So if it's not, then I'm gonna be watching it in the new game room. That makes sense. Nice.
Tamara 13:45
Yeah. Do you care who wins? I mean, I
Rheannon 13:48
got really no,
not Tom Brady. But like, I don't care.
Partly I'm rooting for him, but not rooting for him. Like, I mean, he's old if he could do it again. Great, obviously. But I also like the other guy. I just like a good game of football. So hopefully it's close.
Tamara 14:04
I mean, sure. Yeah. I don't know. I don't know that. I've watched more than two games of football like this whole this whole season, mostly cuz I just I work on Sundays. So it would have to be the Seahawks playing after I'm off work. You know what I mean? Like, that's just the odds of that turned out to be two that happened twice. So, so my hands My hands were tied. Cuz I watched a bunch of football when I lived with you guys. When I was working on the weekends. You know what I mean? There you go. Yeah, you know, the dream. But we'll see. Football season.
Rheannon 14:51
Yeah.
Tamara 14:53
Do you think it's weird that like, college sports are reversed cuz like I'm getting updates on Twitter. Like Women's Soccer is happening and like, volleyball, women's walk, like these are sports that historically have been in the fall, but now are happening in the spring. And is all fucked up. I can't follow lobulated
Rheannon 15:14
I mean, I didn't even really enjoy college football this year. Like it was just none of it made sense to me and I. Yeah,
Tamara 15:21
I mean, that was shorter seasons, it just it was, it was kind of wild.
Rheannon 15:25
I had a guy called me and normally I'm not really nice to them, but they like so we got to read a New Year's season tickets. And I'm like, it's, it's fucking like January 1, I think it's a little early and I'm in He's like, Well, no, I just want to make sure if you're interested, I'm like, well, like, I don't know, are people gonna be immunized? Are we gonna be able to gathering crowds? Are we gonna? And he's like, well, we don't know those answers. And I'm like, how will you call me back when you do?
Tamara 15:52
Because you said that some guy called you. And I thought it was like a family member. I got this distant. I don't know if he's a cousin of who he is like to talk about football.
And then I actually put
the pieces together that it was someone trying to tell you season tickets. And not like a family member? Yeah. Because that's the thing that I typically talk to family members. And we'll be like, oh, who's gonna win this football game in the fall? And this year didn't even happen. So it was a big leg. But I don't know. I'll be curious to see what happens. But yeah, no decisions to be made right now. The Fall feels so far away when we're just, you know, into the start of February.
Rheannon 16:37
Did you get your antibody results back?
Tamara 16:39
No, I'm gonna call him tomorrow, because I was supposed to know within two weeks, and now it's within within a week and tomorrow's two weeks. I'm gonna call him tomorrow.
Rheannon 16:50
What good was that good deed? If you don't know. I mean, I've,
Tamara 16:53
you know, I've donated all my blood. Not all of it. All of its dramatic. So what do you eat? Drop it j drop it. J bad choices. Drop
Rheannon 17:04
it eating trash. I don't know.
Oh,
this motherfucker did. So there's a sandwich shop outside of, you know, on the route that's really good. And they sell like, tamales and stuff to in flats. And we got a coordinate man. There you go. Um, and so my wife on on the first stop through because we always stopped there to get sandwiches. She's like, on the way back. I think I'm gonna get like this and like this and like that, and she was super stoked. And then on the way back, we're tired. And she's like, I don't know. And I was like, well, you were excited. Maybe just get a flat at tamales or something like that. She's like, okay, she's like, you're kind of expensive. I'll get them. And then we were unloading the pool table. And my motherfucking dog ate a whole flat of tamales. 2006. He ate he ate all of
Tamara 17:59
them. Why? Wow. Yeah. Yes. Oh, naughty. Sometimes he is. And the weird
Rheannon 18:07
thing was is it's like what are those metal foil pans and then had the plastic top. But you know, they barely sit on them. He was able to get the whole tamale tin to my office to then unwrap is tamales in peace. And we just come into my office and there's fucking corn husks everywhere.
Unknown Speaker 18:26
I mean, what a bad dog. He's been back.
Unknown Speaker 18:31
She was so mad at him. And he didn't even get gassy. Which I was kind of impressed about cuz like, shit ton worth and tamales.
Tamara 18:41
I mean, he is he's he's been like a tank. He could take I mean, that's just such a bummer though. Cuz you're looking forward to and those 20 tamales would have lasted you all a while. You know what I mean? Yeah.
I mean, they would have
Rheannon 18:56
been lunches. Yeah, he's just standing there like, yeah, those tamales were good. fuck up, motherfucker. Go, go.
Go on, get
Oh,
Tamara 19:08
yeah, man. I know. Animals there. I mean, you love them. I I was literally had a dream the other day that I had a puppy. And it was all the best parts of having a dog, this case a puppy. And I was like, woke up and I was like, Do I want a puppy? And then I'd remind myself like, there's so much like, literal shit that comes with that I'd be like, it was just a dream. Think about the commitment. And I mean, I haven't even factored in. You know how many tamales a dog could eat in their lifetime or food off the counter that lost?
Rheannon 19:53
I mean, you're well over $200 worth of like not trash rummage food. At this point
Tamara 20:03
I don't blame him. Not Okay.
Rheannon 20:06
Well, the weird thing is is like I actually working at home now maybe working at home helps but like, when I'm around him like he started, he's go skiing with us now he doesn't ski but he goes up to the mountains with us. and stuff. I just feel at ease and less anxious. And I was teasing. I was like, I think I'm gonna have to make a my emotional support dog when we go back to life is normal. And everybody looked at me, he's gonna be like, the worst neuro emotional, like, Worst Behavior, emotional support dog that ever existed. And I'm like, I know, but I don't think they have to qualify.
Tamara 20:39
I mean, there's a small process, but I mean, he I pass the bulk of it. It's like they're gonna put a turkey on a table and be like, well, you hear him?
Rheannon 20:50
Yeah. Or they're yelling at my wife for some reason. But the other thing is, is he was the best dog and his dog obedience class, like he's Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Well, I
Tamara 21:03
think if he could perform on the spot, he'd be fine.
Rheannon 21:10
Yeah, until like, I'm like, let's say you're allowed to have your emotional support dog at work with you, which I don't think you are. And then somebody brings their lunch. Then he eats their lunch like that's the trauma I would have to do.
Tamara 21:21
Here's the thing, though. be left alone with people's lunches. He would just go like hooked to your side.
Rheannon 21:33
My sister runs good,
Tamara 21:35
tight ship.
Rheannon 21:36
She will. She like can talk to him a little gruff, and he'll pay attention. And I've gotten I don't know, tired. I don't know. When I eat, he will have his head on my knee. And if I put my plate on my lap, his nose could touch it. And I'm like, Whoa, this is a little close. And my sister's like you let him do that. And I'm like, Oh, yeah, that's bad. He shouldn't be. You know, but I still happens all the time. JOHN goddamnit. Penelope, wait, come here.
Tamara 22:08
J.
Rheannon 22:11
The fuck you doing? You've had dinner? Is she ignoring you? What he does is he talked about zoom bombing. He likes to zoom bomb her office meetings. So we'll try to push himself through the door that I'm yet to trim. And the people in her meetings will hear that John's trying to do that. And then they'll start to call him and then I'll bust through like the coat like bust through like the Kool Aid man. Like, it's this game he plays and everybody's like, and so he gets really excited. It's bad.
Tamara 22:42
I mean, him excited. There's nothing better. I mean, he's he's kicked me a rude awakening when he full body arches on you in the morning? Yeah, but he's mostly mostly a sweet baby Angel.
Rheannon 22:59
I'm a little worried when we have a kid if he's gonna smash it. Like
Tamara 23:07
I think he'll be delicate when it's little but I playing rough you know, as it gets bigger. I think I'll be good with a baby. But I think when it's I don't know, like
Rheannon 23:18
if it was sleeping in her bed, and he just comes up in the morning like,
Tamara 23:22
like, Oh, fuck
me. I hope he adjust. Well, I mean, being a child can be hard. Babies are a lot. I mean, I get it. Oh, I was gonna ask you a question. Yeah. Hypothetically, if I was recommended to watch a horror movie, what is the length? You would watch it with me? Okay.
Rheannon 23:57
Shit. First off, I would have to watch that sober. No weed whatsoever. Secondly, what kind of horror movie? Is it? Like one of the chainsaw ones? Or is it like one based in real world scenarios? Because I draw a line?
Tamara 24:13
Sure, sure.
Rheannon 24:14
The third line is no horror movies whatsoever. But if I had to watch one, it could not be any realm of possibility of it happening in real life.
Tamara 24:24
Interesting. Let me let me pull up this synopsis for you because I'm gonna be honest, I didn't think I was gonna get this far. So this is the classic night or Nope. 2018 Drama horror mystery called hereditary. Well, no, there's just someone's been set on fire. Fuck well. That is just that's just the bill. That's just the still.
Rheannon 25:03
I'm out but I can't do it. I can't.
Tamara 25:07
Sorry, I can't
Rheannon 25:11
go. No.
Tamara 25:15
Yeah, somebody recommended this movie to me. And I was like, I mean, you know, like quarantine like, you know, it's hard to find movies. But my current movie that I'm watching with my roommate or current tv show much of my roommates a shits Creek. So that's the speed currently, I want to rewatch that. It just is all feel good. So good. But this was a movie somebody recommended to me and I was like, I don't know I like don't really do horror that like it's like horror mystery and like, you know how Logan murder mystery? But no, I just clicked it open. It wasn't worth reading the description. I think that's a hard pass. And no, I
Rheannon 25:57
don't think so. I found out why the dog was yelling at Teresa. And here's what happens in our household. He was yelling at Teresa because he didn't want to force his badass through the doggie door to go outside and go to the bathroom. He was hoping she would open the big door for him. She did not he just had a wiggle word right out like he was a little oil. Anyhow, back to the movies. No, fuck no.
Tamara 26:19
won't watch it.
Rheannon 26:20
Have you started watching high fidelity on Hulu though? The new high fidelity series. I know like it. It's good. It has so Kravitz in
Tamara 26:30
it out check it out. I was gonna say Weren't you buying a bigger dog door for your dog? Did he outgrow that one?
Rheannon 26:38
No, I bought it and never installed it.
Tamara 26:41
Buddy. That was like months ago.
Rheannon 26:44
I don't like life. Life is hard. But also he did get a little thinner. But I just heard him try to wiggle in and I'm like Nope, still an issue still an issue. So yeah, it's probably the fucking tamales.
Tamara 26:59
Also, I
Rheannon 27:00
ran into the problem. Speaking of high fidelity, I was watching it on Hulu. My wife found it for me and so I built this false trust with her. And we were watching it The series ran out. And it was still too early to go to bed and she's like it. I was like here you pick something but I gave her the apple remote. And she picked something that I didn't know I didn't see I was looking on my phone probably researching something for the game room. And she picked it It seemed like kind of like an old timey like Firefly on Beyonds you know a little bit like me but like with a story. I was like all right, you know small town Texas kind of thing is
Tamara 27:37
called the preacher.
Oh,
Rheannon 27:41
yeah, kind of look up and people are exploding like the whole everyone in the church got murdered very graphically, I think by like an omnipotent being. And then like the devil is it? It was a heaping pile of shit. I still feel dirty from that one episode. I was just so like, mortified because I think she did it on purpose.
Tamara 28:02
No, she wouldn't know. I always want to give her the benefit of the doubt I do. My instinct. Wow, buddy. That sounds rough.
Rheannon 28:17
Yeah, let's see if I can find the Netflix cover for it. Cuz now it just shows up. She did my goddamn account too.
Oh my gosh.
Tamara 28:26
Of course she did. Yeah, here it is.
Rheannon 28:30
Here it is. Yes. Okay, flip. The fucking preacher. Oh, no,
Tamara 28:35
that
Rheannon 28:37
all these pictures associated with that bullshit. Oh, yeah.
Tamara 28:43
What's the title of it read? Did she give you any type of synopsis?
No,
Rheannon 28:48
I just thought it was a small town, Texas. Maybe there'd be some football shit. And then like, Oh, no. It went off the motherfucking rails
Tamara 28:56
out of the thing where it gory. Its
Rheannon 28:59
gory to the point of just for like the gore. It's so
Tamara 29:02
weird. So weird. I was thinking that you're gonna say like, it looks like it's gonna have pretty like fly fishing videos. No, I
Rheannon 29:11
mean, that wasn't that stupid. But you know a good small town Texas story. Like I like when the stories are about like small town America. Oh, we started watching one Firefly lane last night. That one was interesting. I'm pretty sure one of the characters dies.
Tamara 29:27
Sorry, Euler, Euler, Euler. Euler. I guess my roommate is one of my roommates. He didn't know that. two characters get married in the last season of shits Creek and I ruined that for him. Oh. She was like, did they get married? And I was like, yup. And he was like, spoiler alert. We're like, in season three or four, I think.
Rheannon 29:53
Does he know they're in a relationship
Tamara 29:55
yet? He had been on like a date. Like it was very new. Yeah, so it was trying to look up the preacher. I'm curious what the I mean, I like that actor. Okay, well he looks. After a supernatural event at his church, a preacher enlists the help of a vampire and his ex to find God. That is for preacher. I'm just so bad. Yeah, you just sometimes you get brought into thing. Seth Rogen, isn't it? No, he's a creator.
Rheannon 30:48
Well, that explains it. He must have been high on some bad fucking weed because Jesus Christ. Oh, sorry. I
Tamara 30:55
misread that. I thought he was in it. He's not in it. He just create was one of the three creators,
Rheannon 31:00
you know, I gave him you know, a free pass after that stupid animated movie about the sausage and the like.
Tamara 31:07
No Sausage Party. Yeah, that
Rheannon 31:10
one was a big heaping pile of that. Like,
Tamara 31:15
that's not a child. Maybe I had someone trying to tell me that was a child's movies. Luckily, I watched it with I think I tried to watch that movie with my mom.
Rheannon 31:25
Oh, shit. She
probably would not like his humor. Oh,
Tamara 31:29
I don't know that. She lasted five minutes. I think that was not turned off. I think it was like the second f bomb and she was like, nope. And then we did not. I don't I don't. I don't know if I finished it. Or if we just turned it off from there. I can't remember. I can't recall. But interesting that that movie is a doozy. For sure. Yeah, not quite my mom's cup of tea.
No. Nope.
Um, I've been watching Big Sky that came back and that's been an interesting murder mystery that I have actually been able to talk to my mom about because you know they do love a good murder mystery. But pretty much in that and shits Creek. Although SNL star backup so I'll be watching that.
Rheannon 32:19
Yeah, we watched a couple episodes of SNL.
Tamara 32:24
So, but I was kidding.
Rheannon 32:27
myself here. But it's so much nicer not have to wait to wait till Saturday.
Tamara 32:33
I know. I was talking to a buddy, buddy of mine. And they're like, What are you saying? I was like, I don't know. Probably, you know, stay up to watch us. And they're like, you know, that's on earlier now. Right? And I was like, Oh, no, I mean, you know, but still, I got the problem. I big plans for my Saturday. Wait till midnight. Not no more.
But
yeah.
Rheannon 33:00
I'm thinking about putting a swear jar in the game room. I'm a little worried. I
go broke.
Tamara 33:06
Yeah. Is this for all times? Or just when the kids are the nieces?
Rheannon 33:12
Well, it's trying to enforce no swearing.
We get into it.
My eldest niece was like, I'm like shit. Sorry, mother. No,
Tamara 33:23
yeah.
Walk it down.
Yeah, that can be a tough switch to flip for sure. Yeah. I mean, you could maybe put like a little note, like a little Asterix that's like, you know, jar taps out at $20. You know what I mean? Like,
Rheannon 33:42
but then what do you do with the money after it fills up?
Tamara 33:45
I think you give it to the kids. Oh, okay. Or you could keep a tally, to see who swears the least. And then they could win the money of like the adults. Okay. If you wanted it to be a competition and not about the kids. True. True. So you'd have to decide who's playing. You could sweeten the pot and say, Okay, everybody put in like five bucks to start or something. Go for a month. And then, you know, would you do $1 a square or would you do like,
Rheannon 34:21
no, as prolific as it is up in this joy?
Tamara 34:23
I would be 25 cents 25 cents. That's a low bar, my friend.
Rheannon 34:31
But by the time I'm done with one game, it's like $2 worth.
Tamara 34:35
Oh, no easily, but like the idea is hurt enough that you do it less. Probably, like 10 bucks, a square jar this larger. The goal is that it would be enough of a consequence to really make you think about bought it. Yeah. What if it was 100 bucks? Oh, no.
Rheannon 35:05
I would have no one to play with. Nobody would go with it. They're just not at that price. A little steep for my blood.
Tamara 35:12
I would be. You'd only make that mistake, I think once or twice. Would you be drinking? be drinking?
Well, yeah,
Rheannon 35:22
why wouldn't I be drinking?
Tamara 35:23
I don't know if it's a family affair. Is that more pG? I don't know. You're not like,
Rheannon 35:29
you know, like, we're doing shots. Although the pool table came with a craps table totally inside of it. And I sent a picture to my sister because, and I was like, I think we should teach your kids how to play craps. Little does she know I already tried to teach her oldest how to play roulette on a camp trip once.
Tamara 35:47
So I was like, no roulette, and craps.
Rheannon 35:53
No roulette has the wheel. craps is just dice.
Tamara 35:57
Oh,
Rheannon 35:58
but I think it's gonna be fun when I babysit one day just to go against her wishes and teach them craps. Oh, so
Tamara 36:04
you're just Are you just assuming you're not gonna listen to this?
Rheannon 36:08
Oh, yeah.
Tamara 36:11
I was like, I think your your plot is going to be spoilery.
Rheannon 36:15
If she listens to it, hopefully I've babysat them before then they all meet a grant.
Tamara 36:19
So you know, wow. They would hold the money. Money here. That is Yep. That is a steep learning curve. I used to when I babysat would play like Candyland or picture like you know, Pictionary or whatever, play with the kids. But I did not play to like lose. I was playing to win to teach lessons. And I would always let the kid pick the game. And so there's a game that I don't know which one it was, but I beat him badly. He's four. He was four at the time. And he was like, I don't have good odds in this game.
That's true.
Rheannon 37:05
Oh, you're so mean. Oh,
Tamara 37:08
well, I taught him chess when he was like four. But I think he was like, Can we play checkers again, or play something easier? And I was like, Yeah, but let's play something else. But yeah, so hey,
Rheannon 37:22
I'm yet to get a login for the glasses order here.
Tamara 37:26
Oh, no. Oh, my gosh, I totally forgot. I will. I will do that tonight. I will do that tonight.
Rheannon 37:31
I can't promise I'll shop for him tonight because I want to be fresh and give it like a good chair called tray.
Tamara 37:38
I support that. I I went to bed. I totally forgot. Yeah, it was a later one. But that's only you know, technical difficulties. It's mostly my fault. But I think we got whatever it was sorted out. Yeah. Now so cool. You mean, who knows whose fault it was? We may never cameras most likely. But yeah, but no, the glasses will be fun, cuz I'm still really excited about that. And then you'll have to tell me what, what what half I can look at.
Rheannon 38:19
Yeah, you could
check out Howler brothers or Patagonia
Tamara 38:23
or I have a spending limit. Well, under 51 of my classes,
Unknown Speaker 38:33
yeah, yeah. Yeah.
Rheannon 38:34
Let me think of I'll send you a place of all the approved purchasing places.
Tamara 38:39
Okay. Okay, okay. Are you gonna give me any influence? I feel like I know the current Patagonia hat that you have I want to say off the top of my head. It has white mesh it has an orange front and it has what I would call a purplish bluish Sunset on the cup front of it.
Rheannon 39:00
Okay, I was gonna give you full credit but it went downhill fucking fast. Gray mesh orange front and orange bill with a fucking trout with a mountain sunset in the trout.
Tamara 39:15
Okay, so I forgot the fish but it is it is mostly purple and blue.
Rheannon 39:23
I think so. Yeah. Blue. Maybe a little red.
Tamara 39:25
I did in the shape of the fish. I guess that is a key component in the shape of a fish in the shape of a trout got it's a god how is a fish and not a goddamn trout. Those things should be
changeable. Yeah,
Rheannon 39:42
I will give you a list of approved places. I'm not going to give you any parameters because I'm actually looking to break out of a rut much like your, your glasses situation.
Tamara 39:54
Excited. I like that hat though. I forgot the fish component. But that makes it what it says. Fishing hat,

Season 4 Ep 23: Scary shows with few spoilers and a possible swear jar
Episode description
John has some things to say in this episode and he makes his feelings know. Rheannon isn't having it because of some bad decisions that John made this week. Tamara jokingly asks Rheannon if she would watch a scary moving with her. Rheannon is not going to be fooled this time, she might have been fooled into watching a scary tv show. Tamara accidentally found herself making a few spoilers, when normally it is Rheannon with the spoilers. Rheannon is pondering the implementation of a swear jar in the game room, but there are still a couple wrinkles to work out. Mainly how much money would people actually put in the jar. Also, who gets to keep the money at the end? It is still unclear, but like this episode it is sure to go downhill fast.
