I'm t T and I'm Zakiyah and from Spotify. This is Dope Labs and we are back. HEYZ, what's going on?

Speaker 2

T T?

Speaker 1

What isn't going on? I'm just thinking about everything that's happened since our last episode, the January sixth insurrection, and then we got a new president and a new vice president, and it felt like we had COVID, you know, a little bit under control. The vaccine became available, but then the Delta Varian said not so fast, right, And then that ship and container that got stuck in the Suez Canal. It felt like everything got stuck after that. I'm still

waiting on some curtains I ordered in twenty twenty. I believe you first has showed us that everybody needs us to explain Wi Fi and bandwidth and what you should have should not be, you know, putting on your computer. Then the attack on women's rights in Texas and basically across the country, the recent oil spill in California. It's like when our Dope Labs family needed us most, we just disappeared. But you know what, y'all didn't stop calling us. Y'all are the best friends.

Hi, this is Catherine objected to your podcast.

Man, there is just way too much going on in the world, and so we really got to kind of make up for some lost time and cover all the stories we can. So that's why I start in November eleventh. Dope Labs is going to be a weekly show. You heard that right, party people. Every week we take a story that everybody's talking about in news, pop culture, sports, food, you name it, and we dig deep into the science behind it, because science is in everything and science is

for everybody. And let me tell you, we have some incredible labs lined up for the semester. We're talking to Natalia Razinski, head of strategy in the US for Karna, about fintech and how technology can make shopping even more accessible. Our adulthood has been so chaotic, so people want to take control of that, and money is the number one way. We're also doing a deep dive on the HBCU experience

with Spotify's very own Xavier Journ. Again, to me, the college ex experience was the black college experience and that's the only experience I want. It was that simple. And we also have a two part episode that's all about fashion, from the marketing to fast fashion to sustainability and affordable luxury. That's going to be so good.

Speaker 2

You literally vote for everything with your money.

Speaker 1

People will continue to produce the shift that you buy. It's like so simple and we're going to have so much more, especially now that we're weekly. But there's another big change we have to talk about tt right, Semester four is going exclusive to Spotify starting December sixteenth. All you have to do is download the Spotify app, sign up for free, and find Dope Labs and all of

your other favorite shows. It's so easy. And if you already listen to Dope Labs on Spotify, don't forget to follow us and tap the bill icon so you get a heads up whenever we drop a new episode. So just to recap, Dope Labs is coming back for semester four with weekly episodes on Thursday, November eleven. Listen to Dope Labs Semester four for free on Spotify.
