TGIFF - Annabel Andrews (Jodie Foster) is struggling with typical teenage issues - braces, the boy next door, and crusty dirt feet.

Ellen, her mother (Barbara Harris), has her own set of problems to deal with - mothering and wifing to ungrateful husband, Bill (John Astin).
