The spiritual journey of traditional healing that people go through in their lives is meant to be celebrated. Celebrated because it's a gift passed down by God and our ancestors to those who are meant to protect and heal us should modern practices fail. My dearest guest has allowed us to get a sense of her first-hand experience of being gifted. The journey is difficult and painful but also humbling and beautiful. Wooooooah I hadn't seen our guest in years. In this episode, Nothemba and I discuss most things queer. As much as I did some research, I felt conversing with a member of the LGBTQ+ community would be way more conducive to my understanding of the different aspects of pride. The main questions were essentially built around: Religion, Social Norms, Sex/Gender/Sexuality. My favourite take away from this session was "Acceptance is suicide prevention."
