Kyle Also Learned A Very Valuable Lesson, On Who He Can And Can Not Buy Drinks For, And Phil Drops A Little Preview On What We Will See From Him This Week At The World Food Competition In Dallas.

Welcome to don't drop the tongs. Remember, boy, we got Kyle, you are behind barbeque. We got Phil the Grill in the house. You you Yeah, Phil, I'm glad to see Phil decided to join us. So we are running little late because Phil, you know, missed the call time again. Yeah, and came in looking like Bob the Builder. Literally you got your vest on, bro, Yeah, I got my vest my fifty Yeah, just so that that's that's so, that's my excuse. Best, like if I'm late, not going on up like, oh my god,

that's gonna he must be he must be working hard. The stops on. That's my excuse. Vest That could be the greatest line of it. All right, so let's get rolling on this. No, but hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, Let's backtrack the last week because I got when you didn't show up. Yeah, when I got some attraction. So I was in that other room. You're in my studio because you had to take a call. Yeah. You said it was gonna be

ten minutes, and it took the whole hour. So I apologize Radio and LAMB, but these guys did fabricate that I caught a table on fire and burnt up stuff. Okay, you caught a table coffee, burnt up food and was serving burned up food. Now, let me tell y'all, your food was a little you know, I was doing this for years, I said, by my guiver, and I could come up and build anything out of any situation and make it happen, right, And so I did.

I didn't have a shafing dish, which is true, but I did put one of those little propane things underneath my pan full of water with two half pans in it, and everybody ate and was married. Now I did I have a whole smortgage board that Kyle had, Like Kyle was running a whole golden kerral you had, he got golden corral. Yes, yeah, I have a question. Why did you have a chafing dish? And I understand

because I, first off, this was a voluntary like set up. This was this was a you know, it was it was a volunteer setup. But it allowed you to showcase your rubs and sell your rubs. So in a way it did get paid. I'm kind of with that. The more you had sold the life because I contributed the food, I contributed my time, I contributed my labor. I contributed a lot of things, and I'm not usually used to going to my great friends of Barbecue Island and not them

already providing perfect setups. Because they did have perfect setups for a lot of other vendors. But we didn't have a perfect setup. We had to bring all of our own stuff. But that was that was out of the ordinary when Phil the Grill goes to Barbecue Island and I love you guys Barbecue Island, but I did not get my perfect setup that I normally, you know, go in and do so out of my own pocket. I did contribute to the marketing plan of selling rubs, which I did. It was only

two left on the shelf when I left. It was twenty five when we first started, and we got that done. But at the end of the day, no did I did not have a shafing dish. I did go to Shamrock on the way in and they didn't have shafing dishes. So I said, you know what, I'm gonna go down there. Somebody should have an extra shafing dish. When I found out nobody had a shah let's talk about that phone call. He yo, you got a safing dish. Yeah. Yeah, But but what did you tell me go to Shamrock? You

said, go to Shamrock? Yeah, yeah, I went to share. Did you think about going to the target that was in the parking during the holiday season? Look, look, did you know I think that they would have did go to target? I went and I got bers. I got a six pack of bit no twelve pack of Stellars, And at that time, my shafing dish was working. My makeshift shafing dish, without burning tables, without burning tablecloth, without burning food work. You gotta admit, you

gotta admit, you gotta admit your setup did work. It worked, but it did not work well? It worked? You did? You did have You did have a small table fire. Did your tablecloth not get tablecloth? You're because I threw everything away. It's no hole in no tablecloth. I was not putting out no fire. I was you were putting out. We didn't say you served burnt food. We said the food was. The food was watering. You didn't have enough water. You didn't have enough water.

You put water in there, but you built your stands alide. Did the flame evaporate on the water out? I had hands, so there was no way anything, but the flame was high enough that it was burning. That's because the table cats on fire. I'm staying out of it. Yeah, we have video evidence. If you want to go to the tape, we are gonna We're gonna bring the tape. So what's that. I want to see the throw the flag, throw the flag through the challenge flag. I

need to see the replay. And not only that, just because of that fabrication, I have Hello, hello radio man. They're giving me a choppy mic now too. Now keep I keep jingling the court watching mouth bow. So just because of the fabrication, I do it be Since I am the developer planner of this show. Now right, I'm setting up all the guests coming in. I have a special guest coming in for you, and I

have a special guest coming in for you. It all lined up. Once I come back from this World Food Championship, we're gonna put it on this surprise. I have to be able one that managed getting him in the buildings. Don't know. We're just gonna call. We're gonna make calls. You gotta do research now, Yeah, don't worry. All the research is done because they actually want to speak to you guys individually. It's not the same person, but the one person wants to speak to you, and the one

person that I have wants to speak to you. I don't know if I I just want to let you know it's Phil, though he probably won't be able to lock it down. He'll be like, I'm gonna lock it down. Oh it's locked. It was, it's locked and loaded. I just couldn't do it all today because I didn't know if off my phone we call it. Oh, no, you're not going to have that. He has the unplugged button. But no. So if it looks bad on me, I'll take it out. But I have nothing to hide. If you did

catch the table off, explain the hole in the tablecloth. There was no hole in no table cloth. You know why I know there's no hole in the table cloth because I cleaned the table off and there was no hole in the tablecloth. All right, is that hole? Time out? Yeah? Okay? You're flying out. Yep. I saw my brother today, you know, so I went to the house cooler because he told me He's like, Phil's only love to have one toe. You're gonna tell you that, bunch. I wouldn't tell you that. I got a little space. So I get this Smitty's house, and I'm like, oh man, I got a cooler. I got two tables. It was the higher tables, right, so countertop height tables. So I got I had the cooler, two countertop height tables, and a C four Right. The C four is a backup type

truck. Right. And then John is meeting me out there. He has weber, a tent and another table, and I'm good. I got all my stuff packed in my corner in the live fire right, live fire, baby. So you have to put on the show, right, I'm putting. I'm filled the grill, baby, I am the show. I'm the show. I'm the show. I'm the show. Disclosed. What kind of what you're gonna make? Or what's the first? First round is surfing turf, So you have to make any dish surfing turf, yep, yep,

okay, and it has to go on a platter. It has to go yep. So you have one presentation plate and five little small side plates. Yeah, those are the tasting plates. Okay, so yeah, I'm I'm ready basic, You're ready, though, I'm ready. Question, do you have a timeline? Yes, I do have a timeline. I'm proud of you. With pictures, with pictures, what I put there? I put this is what they're supposed to look like on the plate, because sometimes I get to the end and I'm like, damn, I'm gonna just this.

Yeah, so I got what it is supposed to look like. I did. It's on my coffee table. I'm gonna tape it on my tape. I'm proud of you. Yeah, yeah, looking proud of you. Thank you, sir. Okay, I've been I've been working hard at this. I don't say working hard. I don't know. I've been seeing I've been seeing pictures. I'm proud of you. Then, so go there and win. ten? No, top seven? Yeah, okay, there how many contestants are there? Twenty one group twenty one, twenty one. I gotta be in the top third. You have to be in the top seven. Why isn't it not top ten? I have no idea. They shortened it, so okay, top seven, top seven, this is two so this master judges that come around and they view your style of cook and yeah, what how you're doing it, what's your method? What you're putting together? They

get to pick three contestants. The judges are blind judges, so they go through in eight, three or three come from them. That's whoa too. They only they get to pick three, but if the three is not part of the seven, two of them get to move up. Their top two get to move up into that. Make that happen? Putting that that the or or just the technical technical wave you're putting together this dish because the dish is supposed to be one uniform or one unified dish, right, so SURF

and DIRF is supposed to be just one uniform dish. It's not supposed to be sides and this and that and you know what I mean, So it has to all blend together. Okay, they're going to walk around all these twenty one tenths and just see what you're doing, like say, if you're hanging a tomahawk or if you're I don't know what you're hanging a lobster tail in an hour and a half. And what's your live fire source going to be? Uh? A weber kettle? Is that considered a live fire?

Though? Put your hand over a barrel? I get it, but I'm saying though, but you still go with it. I get it's a live fire, but what's not live about it? Yeah? That's that's that's kind of a question. Could put a Santa Maria, But why would I need to put a Santa Maria? Isn't it more? Don't you kind of get greater on the presentation of the plate of the plate? So they don't. Judges do come around, but they want to see the show. You talking

about money. I'm going to pick the trust and believe I'm giving them a show. But you see what I'm saying with this, like you don't want to see a show and you're gonna use a weber kettle like anybody can do in their backyard. That is the show. But it's the technical things that I'm cooking on the weber cac and how I'm doing it in that hour and a half. Yeah, I just don't see a bunch of people having these because they have these live fire tables set up Yeah, that is so so.

So that's the female So they do have a Ladies five Women Challenge and that's like the top four women in this in the country that go and do the live fire yeah presentation. So they'll be out there, you know, and doing their thing and and hey that this is totally different. See how twenty one people they are from all over the country are going to have live fire setup. So I think if you got the Santa Maria set up on your weber, it kind of shows that you're trying. You're there. I'm

from Arizona. Couldn't get all my stuff here. Yeah, exactly on my weber kettle and you just got to put on a put on it's off my little on what you're doing. Of course, just give him that filled the grill. I'm a gill. I'm killing that show. Baby. They look they it's gonna be a show. Hey, if he needs a live fire, he gets set a tablecloth on him. Okay, So if you make top seven, you go into the kitchen. Now, go in the kitchen. So they got that's where I want to go. This is where I

want to Everybody gets a what twenty twenty kitchen. So there's an oven. There's all kinds of things set up in these little kitchens. Yeah, so what is the dish for the top seven people that have to cook in there? The secret ingredient or the infused ingredient is shrimp. Shrimp. So you could cook any dish you want, doesn't it doesn't It doesn't have to be to be shrimp. But you have to showcase shrimp. Guess why I brought with me shrimp? Oh, I heard the story. Are we talking about

the Okay? Never mind what you bring with you a walk, did you? Well, that's all I'm gonna give you. No, Okay, let me give you a little little pointer here. When I cooked with Mike Johnson, he wanted he needed help, so he put me in charge of French fries. So I was supposed to I was supposed to deep fry French fries right when the thing goes on. We turned the thing on and let the oven go right that hour and a half. Did not get that oil hot enough to I know. I'm sure he did not get it hot. I'm

sure it was. It was a wreck. I'm looking at Mike like I just screwed this up for you, and he's eating it and He's like, no, Bro, it's like water burger French fries. He would get hot enough. Okay, just be careful with the No. That's why I brought my own walk. Yeah, I get that, but you're gonna have to use an oven. The oven. He got an electric walk. When I put oh, got you, got you, I'm thinking you're putting this on the oven. I'm like, Bro, I wouldn't be doing it. Thank

you, Barrel. You see what I'm saying. Say I'm saying, but don't give away all my stuff. Man. People are still listening and they're gonna go out there and they're gonna do nothing. You're nothing, all right, yoh wait, hold on, cannot go to I had a whole week off of not getting into my brother Kyle. So give me plenty of exactly

yep. So so I'll get there. But let's go back to Barbecue Island real quick, just real quick, because the Bender demo right now, I was sitting there and Barrel was sitting there, and there was just a lot. Okay, I got a fans, like fans, but but I think his fan base is like in Sun City, some of them, some of them may or may not be swingers. Well, I was trying not to say that correctly, but yeah, but I think they are swingers because one

said this podcast. Yeah that what they said. They's like, Oh, my wife just loves this bacon green chili rub Can I take a picture with you? She wants to meet you. You come by the house, and yeah, he didn't the house. Yeah, but but but but but they did want to go down to the bone, the basement of the bones. They admit of the bones they wanted to go. Would agree, I agree. I think some of Kyle's fans were and I don't know what the blue cheese thing was. It was like he's got some he has some fans.

He has some fans that I will say maybe belong on a watch list. I mean they may have to they may have to register with the county when they moved places. Watch I mean, if you told me that someone had to move or that they have to go to uh, they had the register with the county in the state when they go places, maybe I would be almost happened to me by using the bathroom behind the dumpster and tape yo yo yo. Look, yeah, they all have their lights off on Halloween.

Yeah, because they're supposed to not because they have they're not allowed to, all right, So we're gonna move from there, all right, So let's go to this week. This was a great week, all right, speaking about world foods, right, I said, I am not because you guys were teasing me. You was like, hey, Phil, we're seeing your name on vending at this Mesa. Right. The dm JA sent me a

dm He's like, yo, Phil's vending here. And he sent me a picture and it shows a list of all the competitors in Mesa and then it shows who was going to sell food and said filled the grill. I said yeah. I was like, I was like no. So the promoter was chasing me around and I was like debating, can I do it? I didn't really have enough people. And then you had to all trailers out, and uh, you had all my trailers. Oh I heard that. I was on the text train. I saw food trailer. I sorrow your food

trailer. Food, but you were already using your trailer. No, it's taken, yo. Then you took all my help. You tell Tyler you took Pops to you took Pops and Tyler, you took all by my good help. So so I decided I decided to reneeg on doing the vending and take it light and just get my mind ready for World Foods Uh Friday, and went to go see my big brother Smith over in Masa. That was great, Yo. You know that's weird. Hold on, you know they

have not posted any Oh he was going to get into that. Don't don't get Barrel. Look at Barrel's eyebrows already. I have it. It's not because I've been looking. I've been trying. I want to. I wanted to see too. A competition was It was a CACBS. You know that says for now late results, So so I go visit them. It was great, Barrel. Look, it was like old school against new school. And you know, I got my brother Smid fired up, right yo.

So so we're out there. Ray's out there, So Ray from California's out there. We're all over there by Smith's joint and I said, Yo, got you know what this reminds me of like the old school crew that we all started with right in caseybs. You had you had Tom Glenn, you you had Vince right yo, you had Ray, you had Smitty Rob Dodge, like you had all of these old school competitors. Then you had the new guys like Gabe right, and then like b Mac and you know,

so that's crushing the game. I'm not taking away from but it's like, you know, old school fish new school right. I got smid fired up. I was like, so you know what that means? Yeah? Yeah, well he told me. He told me. He told me the shut up. He told me the shut up he said, he said, you know what, Phil, You're not competing, so you don't have nothing to say. You shut up. But basically I told him, I said, so what does this mean? He said, you're gonna let one of I

said, you're gonna let one of these new cats whoop your ass? And he was like, Phil, that's when he told me. He said, Phil, bad things. So he wanted he want gz, you want the whole thing. Then I got up first or second in the Soy I think it was first, and so they had a soy wait, hold on, soy what chicken. I ain't going to do it. I don't know. Carry on, They're making soy burgers alright. So then I woke up Saturday and I was like, you know what, I'm gonna go visit the other

half of my family. So I Barrel. I drove all the way out to Florence. I got a little scared on the trip because I got to sixty and it says you're about to end the highway right, and I was like, it was wait, hold on, what's gonna happen next? Like, and then it still says another twenty miles. I was like, how is the sixty ending? And I still got a whole another twenty miles that goes down the highway. Yeah, So I go. I get out there.

Then who's the first person I see? Tyler? He's like, hey, yo, yeah, I'm going and so so so Kyle thinks his brother's just imitating being dead. He sees me. So you went out there. I went out there, I saw my other half of my family. Uh, Kyle was out there already in his groove killing it. They were how was the restaurant? Don't rat too much? Who yo? The restaurant is nice, bro, good for nice? The rat do you think it? Do you think it's like a like show, say, like too nice to

open? Is that white? It hasn't opened yet? Yeah? Yeah, because yeah, yo, the restaurant is real nice. They put a lot of hard work in it. You know, a lot of hard work went in there. Did you want to pull a fire alarm just to make sure it works? No? I wanted to fry. I wanted to fried chicken outside from about the grill. But but yo, it was it was closed like they had paper on the windows. You couldn't see him. That's what I want to Nobody can see big reveals coming the big girl field. No,

but it was real nice. Uh Sharon uh Coffi's the Kofinis was out there, Pops was out there. It was a lot. Yo. Kyle's gonna be in trouble out there. Yo. So yo, when I go there, we're gonna keep this PG. Okay, I'm gonna just say there's a lot of well, if they're doing another Real Housewives, it should be the Real Housewives of Florence because there's a lot of housewives. There's a lot

of I'm not doing too much of done out in Florida. And they dick, they Dickory not go forbid, all right, So okay, so you go not only did you how'd you in your comp We won the whole thing. So you took GC and that was that. Three years in a row. Three years in a row three years a Grand Champions. So good to you. But the biggest thing is this. This was the the town of Florence's first opportunity to experience yeah, birds and bone technical first experience. That

lasted for forty five minutes and we were done. So we had a bunch of food man and we got there. Thursday, we had a fire Marshall deal. That's off air we'll talk about. So then I had to set everything up and I had to cook food all night Thursday, and I learned that you cannot buy beers for a public official. I loaded yep, it's just a bribe. So I loaded the smokers up and then my dad and I and brother were like, let's go get let's go pound some drinks.

Caddy corner from me is a bar called the Irish Cowboy. It's a cool little Irish bar. We go in there, it's my first time there. We started drinking and then I get a tap on the shoulder and this very dressed, well professional woman comes up to me. She's like, Hi, my name is you know so and so I'm the new city manager. I was like, oh cool, and she's like, well, I heard that I need to have a beer with you, and you know, my eyes

I'm there. I'm just like all right, yeah. So she sat down, got a beer, sat down at our table, and we talked for two hours. She wanted to know the whole dilemma and everything that was going on. And so the waitress kept coming over and like, yeah, I'll take another one, get her one, and this and that, and she's like, no, I get my own. I was like, Noah, I'm buying any one. And so I kept doing this and she's getting frustrated with me, and she's like, no, you can't buy a public official

of beer for food woopsie. And I was like, you know me, I've been drinking. I was like, oh, why not. She's like because if people see that, they're gonna think that you were bribing me. Yeah, And I'm just like he was trying. He's trying to bribe us. So we did all that. We cooked a bunch of food. H let's see all night Thursday night for sold for Friday. Stayed up all night Friday, sold some food. The Kofinis took care of the trailer, Justin

and I took care of the contest. My dad was running back and forth from the restaurant into the trailer because we got the big smoker in the restaurant, So raise your prices so you guys crush. Good for you guys. That's good. So good local buzz for you guys. Any idea when this damn place is going to open? U put a date on it, but it is, It should be open. Life is coming. Life's gonna smack min. If you think it's over by Christmas film, it's not the problem

next year. You know what I learned, He's not. They they're just playing around. You know why. This is why, And I'm not gonna give too much away, but this is what needs to happen. They need to go and get Pops a nice makeover, like take them to like what's

that, what's that nice barber shop? Mister b No, because he just needs to be cleaned up just a little bit right and get him, Yeah, and get him, get him a nice journey suit, journeys man suit and a dozen roses and you have him go down and deal with the official that's giving you problems, the lady official has given you problems from opening it, and and just take him off to a nice dinner, a nice a nice uh. I think Friday out in Florence's fried fish right all you could

eat fried fish. Oh you could eat fried fish. Get them a nice fish dinner and get clean. Pops. You might need to take one for the That's what I'm trying to say. Get him clean up, get him cleaned up, nice, get him a nice you know, cut a nice little shave, and it Pops. And this is why I say Pops, because you and your brother y'all don't have to give the gap now. Pops, on the other hand, heat he has gave. Pops has gave you and toller they got no game, y'all gotta come out and mess it up

and say something. But the Pops has all the games. And then when he comes out with a box wind, it's like, hey, Mama, you want to come and get a little box wine? You know we're trying to go for this ribs wings, yeah, you know, yeah, try to start this whole thing. Oh that's not gonna happen. Go full barbecue. Meant to talk to you. I'm meant to talk to you about that because people are craving it. People, that's all people want this brisket,

full blown. Keep it. Don't make them change you, but I'm not gonna get crazy with it. Yeah, please don't just take a brisket sandwich and a pork sandwich, yeah, or a brisket play certain days, bro, keep it, keep it, keep it, because I'm telling you that's when you get the fluctuation of cross priced talking. You know you're gonna get brisket is seven dollars one week, and now that's just on your menu every

day. You got to eat it and then and then next week is pork that's up, and then brisket and if you got too And the other thing is when you're constantly buying a certain and out, you can lock in with your food vendors and be like, look, I'm buying ten cases a week from you right now. Of this right, I am not paying no more than two dollars and twenty cents per pound. Lock me in. They're gonna lock you in. So now they got a hole kid with your name on

it at their facility that all of that stuff goes twenty. So now if the number goes up and down, you're still at twenty. Yeah, your locked. But you can't do that if you're selling all this other stuff. I got a good I got a guy I can lean on. I got a guy I can lean on about this. It's true. I was telling him on Saturday. I was like, I wanted to tell you to talk to you about after Friday. After Friday Night's experience with everything, so people

were craving. No people they love the pulled pork sandwiches. They wanted the brisket sandwiches. We had barbecue nachos, we had all this stuff, and they were asking for ribs, but we didn't have ribsons. I wanted to showcase another side of the menu. But yeah, dude, I think we're gonna have to be a full blown barbecue restaurant. I can see that. I mean, there's not it's not. There's nothing out there, dude, I know, yes, I mean say it. There's nothing out there and

it's something new, and I hate to say it. You're hate. It's a good thing for you. You're gonna be the only dog in town for a while, and you can build up lifelong clientele if you offer what they want, and then when somebody else does come in, because you know, competition will show up potentially, and when it does show up, the people are gonna then be like, no, we're loyal to him because he's had this. You don't want people to be like, well he's never offered that.

Now this guy's offering it. We're gonna go there to get that. Yeah, so that's good for you guys. People were I mean raving about it. Well good, I got some Mexican food down there, and there's nowhere. There's nowhere for like, if you wanted to go on a date with somebody, you're driving to Gilbert. You're driving forty five minutes exactly dinner unless you want them to eat out the Mexican food spot. I would take

a special lady to Birds and Bones. Man. Okay, So here's the whole experience, the vibe, the plan, I mean, it's gonna be okay. So you're gonna open Are you gonna have a big grand opening party? Massive? Massive are going to shut down their hotels out there? Yes, because I whisper the whisper in the street, unlocked the whisper and say go they're locking down the street, DJ Beers tables, it's gonna be. We could get the honeymoon sweet at at the Blue Oyster. You can get

the honey They're like a holiday and out there at least. No, it's called Golden Tree. No, green Tree. It's called Green Tree, Yo, and we we it's the nicest. It's a nice hotel. Yeah. They rant by the hour, like how many hours that you can rent by the hour? But the one down the road is it's nice. How many hours do you good? Massive party? Good? I look forward to that. I mean opens, yeah, yes, bro, it's a nice drive. I'm not doing it again. We got we got, we got a

group. I gotta go up the hill, I gotta go down the hill. I was like, I got to keep telling him I'm going back, I'm going back down. How was how was it going through customs? Exactly? They was like, do you have I was gonna say something, but you was gonna edit you. I'll go say, all right, so you guys are all dialed. Then you won? You served? Did you help Kyle when you went there? No? I was only out there for a couple of hours. I did. I did drink some of his beers.

I did do that. So you pulled to fill the grill yet oh oh, but I showed up with ten uh sausage MC muffins. No eggs, No, because what eggs? Who wants the nasty eggs. Who doesn't you like the he don't lie. You got the sausage ones because they were because they're cheap right now? No, No, honestly, I don't. I don't eat the egg Who wants that nasty egg for McDonald's. Can you see you seen them frying eggs? Do you see them? No? You're absolutely

right. You know who else makes the worst worser eggs? Wor wors Denny's. Denny has powdered eggs exactly. The reason why when is the last potential debty sponsors? Well, the stop serving powdered eggs. Yeah, yeah, well good. So let's let's talk about Oh Nascar. Did you see shaking Baker was here for nascarha? Oh yeah because yeah, no that that Yeah, they were here. Yeah they were compete. No, they were here for NASCAR, just here for Nascar because there was something there was there was

something. There was a little barbecue thing going on in NASCAR. But it was like a very close close knit I think actually Smitty got invited to go, but he competed and Baker yes, and I told I said, I said, yo, Smith, there's no way you're gonna go there. And then go drive to Dallas. The next day. He has said, we threw down. Oh god, it was rough. I mean it was great times. So we started setting up on Tuesday, and my first night out

there was Thursday. I had friends flying from around the country. You did the morning show out there? Yeah, we did our show out there Friday morning. What I can do to get you guys, come do it morning. We'll see yea. Yeah, country Thunday. Down that block. I just that's out there. It's over by the prison. Okay, okay, got it. So we went and we basically just uh went on Tuesday or excuse we went out. Thursday was the first night. Went to dinner.

We actually went to dinner in Litchfield Park. I thought of you, I met I met some friends because one of the race teams stays at the Wigwam. So we went to Old Pueblo, went Old Pueblo and had uh had dinner, I will say, and we had quite the experience there. I'll say reunion in that place. I will say that they have Mexican foods, good drinks were cold. So we walk in and a buddy of mine, his nickname is Doodoo because his last name is brown and he's been full of

blank his entire lives to call him Doo Doo. So anyways, Doodoo walks into the bar and he tries to order a bush light from the bartender. She doesn't have bush light, which throws him into a tizzy. We drank, oh exactly, trust me. Well we've seeded to drink that place good and dry. That night got him Friday morning, did the show Friday morning from camp. We have a lady who comes by who brings us Bloody Mary's. He's Bloody Mary. She makes dude, y'all, her recipe could win

a world foods I'm telling you to the when I say this. She has a way that she infuses the vodka with her own custom bloody Mary mix. Oh wow, I mean these things are incredible, so she could probably make a lot. She probably could, Yeah, probably, I mean she uh so, I don't. She doesn't sell it. She just does it like it's their own, like side hobby. She does. And she she's known as the Bloody Mary Lady out at NASCAR, I mean, and she she

brings them in. Dude, it crushes. I mean, I am I like Bluddy Mary's, but like I know those people who are not bloody Mary fans. I'm like, just try it. They're like, yeah, oh my god, this seems incredible. Yeah, it's awesome. So we had that. That was other Friday. That was Friday, and Friday night we got out. We got on the gas pretty good. Friday night not too horrible, but we definitely got on the throttle. But Saturday, let me

explain to you. Saturday. Let me explain to you Saturday. So Saturday morning, Saturdays is the day where everybody comes. Friday is kind of a yeah good. But Saturdays, when everybody comes, we get race teams that show up, like we had probably had about eighty people come roll through. Did you have to cook for these people? Yeah? So I do. Four. I get up at like five am, hungover as a beast, cook four big old pork shoulders. We did mac and cheese, We did

beans, we did salad. Put it all out. I mean, good looking spread, shape, picture right now, good looking spread, but the drink. So I was up at five am. Only pulled his photo of the spread here. See it's I had a little spread for me being an amateur. Oh nice, nice. So we threw down on Friday versus is Saturday. I'm up at five am, and I'm just I'm cooking. Also, my buddy taps me on the shoulder and I'm like what. I look at him and he's already drinking At five am. I'm like, oh,

boy, dude, I'm the throttle. By nine am, when everybody was kind of getting up and getting rolling we started breakfast back or about eight, he was already sauce. I mean he was drinking every beer he had. He had a drink, had a glass of moonshine with as well. So this dude proceeds to get just rottled up three o'clock, everybody shows up. He makes it about four o'clock. In between the hours of three and four o'clock, he f two bottles of fireball himself. That's yeah. Well,

let me tell you what. He proceeds to start getting sick. I'm sure we have to put him like in his own little secondary in his trash can, so we get his puke, his guts out, pass out. He gets alcohol poison. He didn't like need to go to the hospital. He probably should have, but that night we were counted up. That night we went through over seven hundred beers. Seven hundred beers, Yes, hust Brewing brought out a ton of them. We drank those. It was hust Brewing

Coors Lights. I mean we went through over seven hundred beers on Saturday night alone. I mean you got to figure we had between seventy seventy eighty people. Oh yeah, but race that wasn't start till two o'clock. You guys go to the races. Oh yeah, of course, So then that's what I added even more to it. So going to the race, actually my buddy ended up winning, which was great to be there for that. It

was awesome. But Saturday with Sunday morning though, it was like the Walking Dead, just zombies of people, just like shells of humans walking around. I was like, oh, this is brutal. But now we had a great time. It was awesome. It's always a good time. I didn't think it was interesting though, it was interesting to see the amount of people that have bought smokers. And we're not going to bash a brand. I'm gonna leave that brand out. But if you can read between the lines here,

I hope you can't. Who in the previous years have bought a brand that has sold at Costco, who now have went out and purchased other brands because the brands that they purchased at costco the dang thing doesn't work anymore. And people were like, why did mine break? I don't use it that a few times and I'm like, well, there's a reason why. I was like, it was just interesting. But then Jason Baker rolled through Saturday

night with Green Mountains. It was great to see him, and it was also great to see people who had questions of why their smokers broke go to him and Jason was like, let me tell you I have a new product coming out. That was great. So it was great to see Jason get to talk about his product out there some but it was awesome. Did you have any of his gmgs out there? He he did, but I didn't. He didn't. He didn't pull it out because when he got there was

a little bit later. He was just more or less just talking word of mouth about it. But here was the coolest thing about all. They didn't ask her this year. So there's like seven thousand campers, eight thousand campers that they put out there. You figure you got four to six people, We got fifty thousand people camping. They built a grocery store in the middle of the campground. The built They built a Walmart inside the camp ground.

And this Walmart was legit. It wasn't big as a full size everything Walmart. No Walmart prices. Wow, you could get a thirty rack for nineteen bucks. You could go in there and be like, oh, you want to get some vegetables. Yeah, we made pork fright, but it was great. We made pork fried rice, so we always do on Saturday night. And my buddy said that the frozen vegetables seemed like the frozen vegetables, so he went and got some salary and some red peppers and cut them all

up and so that I was like, that's up there. I mean, they had a meat section, they had everything, which is a smaller condensed version. But dude, it was insane to see this, and I thought to myself, I was like, there's a there's a there's a market for that of doing a traveling grocery store something like that and going to American Royal and setting that up and being like boom, we're here with this. You know, we're going to big festivals, going to imagine one of those a

country thunder. You know, how many times, how many times like that, but there's something very there's a market, but they're always they're always marked up. This was a Walmart and do this Walmart because we weren't camp very far from there all the time, they was semis backing and dropping stuff off.

And I was like, dude, they are selling so much or because their price bag of ice seven pound bag ice was a dollar thirty nine waiting gold out there, Dude, you're going through ice like I was going to stop a thirty nine selling it. I was like they had everything that you could want at Walmart prices, and I was like that is legit. Yeah, I mean yeah, because I mean think about it, right, I mean, I know Nascar is way bigger than like the Royal, but when

you're in those type of events, you locked in. You're locked in. Yeah, you're coming locked in. You can't. Can we prepare and bring out everything? But we still have things were I don't have the accessibility. Oh you know, my biggest thing is food. Yes, someone a food truck like a French fry yo food food. And how many how many times bro we were at look, we were we were at the American Royal and

we were you know, delayed, right, butday on Sunday. But I was trying to drop a pin for Domino's drop every and it was Sunday night and everything. I could have probably sold pizza pods for like fifty dollars a pop. That's kind of what this was. So for example, they had a frozen food section that had frozen pizzas in it. Yeah, granted we had so much stuff, but the amount of people you saw come walking out with a couple of yours, I was like, again, I was like

they thought of stuff. You know, the one thing I thought that I was great that they had. Again, they they you really used their brain. You know, like when you park in RVY, you need those little orange lego leveling blocks. Yes, they had they sold those. Wow. See so you're like, crap, I need these. Walk in there boom. They sold leveling blocks, they sold gas cans, they sold everything from like you know, obviously camping stuff. But I mean you'd go down the

aisle and you're like, okay, uh I got upset stomach. You know, they had pepto. They had all that stuff that you would need out there. I literally I think myself, I was like, there is a market for this if you although they again, they had pd like, they had gator rades. They had all these different things that you're like they did.

I thought it. I was like, there is a market for this, whether or I did'say a semi trailer that you pull that folds out into like a store, or you build these things places like dude, this would crush because the amount of stuff they sold was wild. And again, they didn't gouge you, And that was what It's funny the not gouging words spread so fast because when I saw it set up up there, I was like,

oh, god, right, whatever. My neighbor I don't really know out there, comes by, comes walking by and he's got three thirty racks and looks at me and goes, do they're nineteen bucks up there? And I was like what he said, Yeah, they're not gouging you. I'm like, no way, which caused me to walk in there and be like, holy cow, they're not. And I was like they had a line out the door every day. That's part. Also, they had it fast. They took credit cards, they did it was just flawless. So that

was a cool thing. I was like, wow, this was great. But I mean we served it up and we had a big old feast. I'll yesterday was I was a zombie yesterday. I know I'm better to better today. But I have the I have one of these chairs. I've had it for like ten years. It's like a it's like a chair that you sit in, but it folds all the way back. What are those called, Yeah, the zero gravity chair. Gravity chair. I've had it for

like and he's zero gravity. I'm it's literally probably one it's probably it's probably ten and eleven o'clock. Food's on, you know, everything's prepped. Now I can get a couple hours of sleep before I have to get up, wrap the food and everything. So I go to I'm going to bed,

laid down. I snapped the whole freaking chair, bro and like when you're in a dead sleep, chair snaps My heads against the ground feeder in the air, and I'm like, like you have to just sit there as my feet are in the air, and I'm just like looking around like what just happened? And I like roll out of my chair and I'm looking I'm sleeping in the restaurant. I'm looking at the thing and it's all broke. I'm like, screw it. So one am, I was up, wrapped the

meats, did my whole setup. Just chill bro, watch TV, relaxed in my boxers. But uh yeah, dude, I was dead tired after I got I can imagine slammed it, which is good. It's good that it's good to see that people are excited for you guys to come. Yeah. Yeah, that's awesome. And I mean because I'll give you example, like it's it's glad to see there's a buzz about it because they're opening a Rudy's barbecue by my house. Nobody really can nobody cares and something's Rudies.

Yeah, yeah, just like because they look at this plaza that it's in and I'm like, okay, I'm sitting here looking at this Rudy's a crossway. There's a Chick fil A yeah, and then there's a salad exout, and then there's this, and there's this, there's this, and there's this way, there's this. I'm like, there's ten things around it, and I'm like, Rudy's is good. Again, nothing agains Rudies. I'm not bagging Rudi's at all, but I'm like, there's just no buzz about this

because there's so many options. You you're the only dog in town. And people out there love the sport, local, love a smart small business. Yeah, you check all the boxes. So I think you may have lightning in a bottle here. So for you, I want I want to I want to drop a gem that Scott uh gave me in the beginning, Yeah, that I didn't really pay too much attention to. I was kind of going off of a different route, but off of his decision making. He

stands behind it. He told me, he's like, hey, you know, find a spot, right, find a spot where the rent is less expensive and you know, grow. And that's kind of like what he did with the university spot and his first in the university. That's not a nice neighborhood. Yeah, and not only that, he was the only It wasn't like you could make up your mind like, oh, you know what, the longest the lines along, I'm gonna go court' right. He wasn't.

He wasn't the nicest the neighborhoods. But there's a whole lot of steel yards and trucking yards, exactly, certain airports, the warehouse stuff around there that are employant people that are hungry. That okay, great, example, where this radio station says, yeah, yeah, there's nothing, there's nothing around here, but you know what we heard about that place coming. We were

one of his very first customers. They were because we just hopped him one forties screen went down there because it was like, oh my gosh, there's a great local news spot. That was I remember going to the first couple of times. But if you don't have to wait. And then also the word got out here was like the way but it was the excitement, right,

So it was the excitement of the new spot coming. Right. So when I went downtown, I was like, Okay, well, at least I know when I opened my doors, I'm going to have immediate customers because I'm already in the spot that that was there. Then it grew up around it, right, and then now you got choices, You got so many,

you know, different avenues. But it's funny, and I don't mean it in a bad way, but it's funny that you know, he was in project with where Honey Bears was on Central and he pulled out right because when he talked about the loan costs and everything going up, and that was the problem, part of the problem why I closed down because after my landlord was hit me with property tax and this was going up and my cams were going up, and I'm like, bro, I can't afford this, especially

with all of the different meat prices and the labor courts and all this stuff. So you're in a great spot. You own. You're in a smaller town to where people are gonna support you. The buzz is great. So I mean you're following the blueprint. You have nothing but success until I buy the building two doors. Now, I hope you do, Seck, but no, I think he definitely got a good thing going, which is good for you. All Right, So we're gonna wrap this up today. What
