Hey guys, welcome to Podiatry. Practice Mastery. Don here, I want to talk a little bit today about how to use patient presentations to really simplify your practice approach. This is actually, the, this makes my practice so much easier and specifically want to give you an example. I'm all of us. If you're listening to this, you probably treat plantar fasciitis. And as you know, there are tons of treatment options for plantar fasciitis.
There's nights It's there is cortisone injections that Shockwave there's amnio injections, there's foam rolling there stretching all these things and what I found is that a lot of my patients were just kind of confused because of too many options. There's too many treatment options for them and and I was confused as well as I didn't
know what what to offer them. And there's just this there's one slide that I call it a treat plantar fasciitis, treatment evaluator, and if you actually, if you want this it's in the 30-day practice. Blueprint, it's Add a number 22, I talk about them. You can download it right there, but basically what it is, it's one.
It's a graphic slide that shows the different treatment options for plantar fasciitis and this just simplifies my life so much when I see people and they can I can help them make the decision. First of all, just makes it easier on the first visit but also when they come in after like the fourth or the fifth is it and they're not better. A lot of times, we take it personally, they're not getting better.
What's going on? And I find that if we can make it more, Our objective and less subjective like subject, that then blaming us object of meaning. They look at this slide and I say, well what have you tried? And they try this. They tried this and they try this and has work and then we can go. Okay? Well, if you haven't tried, for example, Orthotics, or if you haven't tried, Shockwave or amnio injection or can boot a lot of times, even they asked me
for a walking boot. Now, I don't do walking the first line of treatment, but later on if they're not getting better or for considering something more involved like a surgery, I want to have them exhaust. All the Treatment. So, really these patient presentations have made everything. So so much easier. So, I am doing a presentation on patient presentations, coming up.
