Hey guys, welcome to Podiatry practice Mastery down here. I'm going to talk a little bit today about the podcast. Something about a discovery consult which I thought was kind of a neat idea. So I've been trying to wrap my brain around for a little bit, a webinar update, and another webinar. This is one on how its Limitless considering doing an assessment. Might be a good way to drive more business to your practice. I did an interview with Larry Hoffman, he's a kind of a biomechanical guy.
Does a lot of orthotics and still has some good tips for that, and he gave me this idea about this augment excite. Haven't heard about it, and I'll share that with you. So let's get right into it. This is the Discovery consult. I met this. He's a chiropractor and I liked the idea. So for maybe a patient, that's not really ready to make an appointment. And they just want to kind of see what's going on. He has this thing called a discovery consult.
It's a complimentary 15-minute consult to If the services are right approach and I've kind of gone back and forth about this certain days. I do have some breaks where I could do some of these people wanted it and I would probably prefer to do it virtually, but it might even I think it would be more effective if they came into the office and then we would just kind of evaluate things. And if they wanted to come back, we could do an actual exam and getting x-rays something to consider.
I don't know if any of you guys are doing that, but I the thought is would be nice to have a, even a before they come in type of an option that could be a free book. Could be a discovery consult. I've thought about, like, I just asked a question. I really haven't gotten many bites on those things, but those are things that I have tried. This is our webinar. We did about all about stiff toes but unfortunately, I messed it up again.
I should have recorded how I should just stop being a tightwad and by the webinar version, right? That's what I really should do but I'm not willing to do that. So when you do these, if you do these put it on speaker View and hide everyone's images. Cuz I didn't and so you can see this poor poor, poor person that was watching and then one of the other doctors is here, but it shows up right here on that and I'll talk about some other things during our experience.
With the webinar here is the webinar are. Here's like how it comes in calendly shows up. These are all those people we had about 40 people that signed up about 20, that showed up. That's pretty good. I didn't record it in speaker mode. That was kind of the mess-ups. The good thing is that this time I For directly on the website. So it was kind of cool.
The, our blog is where I put the initial signup link and then it's that same blog that then I uploaded the video to afterwards and all the referred to kind of items. So it's going to make it a lot easier putting it on on our website and then taking that transcript or a part of the transcript and using that for keywords. This is another one that I'm doing in conjunction with a
physical therapy place. And the whole idea is, how can we coordinate with someone that I'm already referring to or they're referring to me? So we refer to physical therapy a lot. So I'm doing this talk with Joe about how to stay active with heel pain. It's my whole process with calendly and things like that, but it's to their list. So it's going to their physical therapy list and I'm going to be able to get in front of them and I'm all good. Also going to have access to
their emails. That's the whole goal with this, this, this One here in this is a an idea I saw which I was thinking, you know, how we can apply this to Podiatry. So if you look down here, what you'll see is a free customized plan for your money answer, a few questions and we'll create a plan tailored for you. It only takes 3 minutes. I thought that was kind of a neat idea. These are really easy to do and I'll explain how you can do them
after. But my thought is get a free customized plan for your plantar, fasciitis, or blank or whatever you would like to treat answer a few. Questions and we'll create a plan just tailored for you. It only takes three minutes. And what you could ask is you could ask for example, if you have pain when you get up in the morning, how long have you had it?
So basically those two have had pain getting up, then you would talk about nights when, of course, if they've had it for over two or three months, you might talk about Shockwave, if their pain levels, 8, 9 or a 10 you might talk about cortisone, so things like that. And then the other stuff is generic and based on that it would lead them to a different download. That would be slightly different based on how they took the assessment. This can be done, very easily, in Google forms.
So open up Google, get a form, make it, it can be done. What I use is in kajabi and so that's on my resources list on for that you practice Mastery, or you could use Survey Monkey, those are a couple of ideas. I thought that was a neat idea. So if you want to do more of Optics, Larry has great way of explaining things Larry and I met A while ago, the story behind Larry is that I was admiring his website. If you haven't seen this website, you want to learn how to do a really good website to get emails. Look at his and he offers this free like shoe buying guide. And I think this, I think he has like thousands and thousands of people on his list, and they get this constant, drip of weekly
email that just replays. He uses active campaign, it's just kind of replays and and then he sells Amazon stuff. On there. It's his great marketer. Great biomechanics, great mind. And when I was explaining, I thought it would have been just more amazing, you know. I was like, you know, he has all these Great Tricks.
But basically, I think in Washington where he lives Orthotics are covered mostly by insurance and so it in not no no no no downplayed what Larry said but it's pretty easy to sell. What's free right? What's given away? It's a little bit easier but he's still great at. He was like 10 times more thought she was like 50 or 60 a month and so So, he even if they weren't covered, I think you would be doing a lot more, right?
A lot more than I am, just because of his experience, it is, his ideas behind it. So, that's what he talked about. And then finally, we're going to talk a little bit about this augment X. This is what he uses to document, you can see here. There's like these glasses or attaches to your glasses and has a little video.
And you have actually someone doing transcription to like a medical assistant or a transcriber doing that using these Google Glasses. I thought it was kind of neat idea in terms of that's how we documentary as someone else does is documentation. So, let's get right into it here. Here is the the podcast. And I think I was talking to this one about Amazon, like, I'm making seven bucks, is probably not worth it to do Amazon for me and then help, I just bought a knee pad. This is, this came from a listener question. They asked, well, hey I just got to eat that. What in the world should I do? How can I do anything with it?
So anyway, that's that. You can see this little pop-up widget. This is a widget this is a I make this on an elf elf is called elf something elf sites or something like that. So I think I did it for heel pain so in heel pain on the heel pain part here is the webinar we did about all about plantar fasciitis. Oh the the word is remember I was trying to have people joined or pay pay me. I stopped it because no one paid me. So Going back to free. I'll figure out a different way to monetize this, but I went back to freak, I was going to charge like 10 bucks a month, but then I'm like, didn't really work actually and I don't think it should have worked because I don't want to have that, like, obligation to give you guys something.
I just like doing this. And so if I had this obligation that people pay me ten bucks a month but I feel like more obliged to put new content. That way I can just it's like a virtual drunk drawer. I just put everything in there. I think there's a better way of doing it. I just haven't figured it out yet but join Podiatry, practice
mastery. You get all my stuff in there, all these resources, all these links and my templates for a short time you get but I drew the patient presentations which really is the coolest thing. I think it kind of it's how I treat all my patients. It's right here.
If you look at the top here these are all my presentations and so anytime I see someone with like plantar fasciitis, it just opens up this presentation for them and I do it right in front of them and kind of the cool thing is I can either. Is for I can do my video, right? It kind of goes through these things, how it affects your life. But the cool thing is, I have this checklist.
This is the coolest thing. So if you only use one thing, you could just use this checklist, it's pretty easy to do. You just add it to your browser and you just upload them into a Google Docs folder. So I'm giving you guys access. Let me know to think. Okay, thanks have a good one.
