So here we go. We do have another episode. I know it's a little shocking, a little shocking that I have so little time between my two episodes. It has not been like three to five months between my episodes. I think it's been a week about a week now, which is fantastic, which is kind of the rhythm I'm hoping to get into. Whether it be more, I'm not sure. That's still kind of yet to be seen. But I do want to be a little bit more consistent about it because I
do enjoy it. It is fun for me to do. You guys enjoy listening to it, which I do appreciate, and it is therapeutic for me to do. So I will continue doing it for everyone in all parties involved. It really is really a cool thing, and I've just enjoyed it over the last couple of years, three years actually. But I do have something that I did want to talk about kind of right off the bat, because
I do make mistakes, a lot of them. Unfortunately, I record into a microphone and put it out there for the internet to listen to and dissect and make fun of me for. So the mistake that I made in the last episode was I was talking about my wife. That's not the mistake. But I did say that we had been married for seven years, and I was almost one hundred percent sure I was wrong, but I couldn't. I
couldn't really in the moment figure out if that was right or wrong. But I knew I was kind of in the ballpark of how long we've been married because we just not that long ago, celebrated our wedding anniversary. It was actually in February, but I hadn't done an episode since I believe January, so we'd missed a lot. Blah blah blah. Go back and listen to the last episode. That's fine, but I said we've been married less than ten but at least seven I think was my actual like verbiage, I'm not
sure. Again, go back and listen to it. So the other night I come back. I was in the studio all day. I've been doing a writing camp, so we basically just work in the studio recording studio all week and we try and write as many songs as you can in five days. So I'm in the middle of one right now. By the time you listen to it, we'll have written probably somewhere between six to eight songs already this week over the last like two or three days, which is absolutely fantastic.
Songs that didn't exist, songs that weren't already kind of ideas, songs. We're doing top to bottom lyrically, production wise, top to bottom finish, and it's all it's a lot of fun. It's a lot of work. It's mentally tiring, but it's great. It's all part of the job and it's a lot of fun. So I ended up not coming home the other night until probably about ten thirty, which is fine. It's again, it's just kind of part of it. And so Jeanie and I were just
kind of resting. We ended up going up to bed. She was already up in bed by the time I'd gotten there, so I kind of weazled in after I got all ready and put all my stuff away, whatever, and it was just kind of silent, like you ever just around your your other, your person, whatever, and it's you're just around each other, but sometimes just no words need to be said necessarily, and that was kind of what it does. So we're just kind of like sitting in silence in
the room. She had a long day, I had a long day, that's fine. And about ten minutes goes by. We're just kind of doing our thing. Ten minutes goes by, she turns, she goes, Yeah, I listened to your episode today. It was it was really great, Like I really appreciate like what you said and stuff like it's cool things you said about like you know, being in the middle of answered prayer, like that's really cool. But um, we've been actually married for eight years and
not seven, and I knew that was gonna happen. I knew that was gonna happen. And it's fine. It's it's it's my own fault. I should have just known how long I was married beforehand, but I didn't, and I kind of admitted it to the internet. Um, but Jeanie does listen to an episode on occasion, and of course that's the one she listens to, which is fine. It's fine, it's not a big deal. But we have been married for eight Um, we are going now into our
ninth year. So yeah, that's fine. We actually ended up getting married. Um, I did say we ended up getting married in February. February
twelfth is the date. I actually do know that off the top of my head because my youngest sister was born February eighth, and then we got married on the twelfth, and then Valentine's Day is the fourteenth, so it's literally I cannot miss it because the entire world is reminding me that, hey, your anniversary is coming up, because there are hearts everywhere, and everything is
overpriced, especially chocolate, which is very special to Jeanie. It is, it is very special, so it's the one time of year where it's overpriced. But I can never I could literally never get enough of it for her. She freaking lops it. So February twelfth is our our anniversary date eight years. We are starting our ninth year. We are a couple of months into our ninth year. We do have a little bit longer, a couple more months until our second eighth anniversary. We did get married twice. That
is another story for another day. I've gone into it, but it's coming around again, so maybe I'll just bring it up again. So we do have our second eighth anniversary coming up in the next handful of months, so that's fantastic. The question, the question that I do have today for this episode is pretty it's a pretty straightforward one. I'd actually sat and thought about this for a minute, and there was nothing else that I had immediately thought
of. And I think that's the point, all right, Like you're supposed to read the question in this book, and I'm supposed to write down and or say the first thing that just comes out of my mouth, not make it, you know, scripted or thought like overwhelmingly thoughtful. You would like it to be thoughtful. But you are dealing with me here, so that's we'll deal with that, you know whatever. We'll cross that bridge when we
come to it. Whatever verbs you want to say there. But in this book, if you are new, I do actually have a massive surgeon audience. In the last handful of days, my audience has grown again buy another like seventy what is the person? Let me look at the my phone here, m My audience has grown since my last episode. I've had a surge in subscribers, so I've grown another seventy eight percent. So it's a pretty massive following that I actually have. And then I just had like another It
nearly doubled, which is absolutely fantastic. So thank you guys so much. It's cool, Like I I have no idea why why you're here, but here you are, and it's fantastic. It does mean a lot that you are here on all the major platforms. I don't know, it's really cool. It really does mean a lot. Goodness, gracious, I forget to breathe. I still do that. Three years in. I forget to breathe. I get rushing a little bit, and I just forget to breathe.
But I do have. The question for the day is in my five five year question today memory Journal. And I've done this now for the last handful of episodes, which is really fun. And again I'm just supposed to say the thing without thinking much about it, and I did think about it. Unfortunately I was cheating a little bit. But the only thing I could come up with is this. So the question that I have today, and you could answer it for yourself, whatever that may be, is what is something
that is widely popular that doesn't appeal to you? So again, what is something that is widely popular that does not appeal to you? And I'm sure if I really sat and thought about it, I could come up with a ton of things. But the only thing that I can think of immediately when I was like, no doubt, this one thing. Hey, it will always hate this. The only thing I could think of was, shockingly enough,
it was coffee. And I know, before you stop the episode or unsubscribe or whatever you're doing, that's fine, just know that I don't like coffee. Like I something about it just doesn't hit right with me. I don't like fundamentally. I don't even like the smell of coffee. It gives me almost a headache. It makes me almost a little bit nauseous. I feel weird around it. Everyone always is always like, oh, let's hang out, let's go drink coffee, and it's like, ad, that's a
horrible idea to me. It's a horrible idea. Cool you might be able to go and have your coffee dates and put all sorts of weird nuts and things in it, and honey and all sorts of different weird forms of milk and sugar and whatever. I don't like it. And you always have like your weird forms of drinking it, whether it's on ice or whether it comes out of your like fancy machine things, or you do it like with what is that thing called where it's like a weird shaped it's almost like an hourglass.
You put paper in it and you like grind up all the dirt and you put it in there, and then you pour hot water over it, and you pour like the hot water over the dirt and then it drips down. What is that called? I forget, it's gross pour over. Yeah, there you go. Hate those. My wife loves them. I just like don't like drinking dirt water. A lot of you guys do, and that's fine. I'm not gonna judge you for doing that. I'm just telling
you, it's just dirt water. Like I don't really know if like that's a real thing you need to be like, hey, hey, I'm friendly with you as another human being. Let's go drink dirt water together. It's basically like mud to me. I don't know, but it's it's definitely it is definitely coffee for me. Not a fan. Don't like the smell. It's kind of just like dirt water. It's expensive, and I, you know, I just don't do it. You're like, WHOA, what else
you do you drink? Anything like that? Like do you drink? Not? Really? I do have like a couple of Red Bulls a week probably maybe, But for the most part, I don't really like have a lot of caffeine, like I just kind of get my adrenaline from life. I suppose I'm not saying like I'm a better person than a lot of people, but yeah, I don't know. You can kind of come to that judgment by yourself. Man, that's fine, that's fine. I just don't like it. I don't like it. I I do like if I if I
had to give up, probably I don't know. I really do like red Bull. I really like Red Bull, so I would have a hard time giving up Red Bull. But I don't even drink it every single day. So maybe that's my form of dirt water. But the thing that is widely popular that doesn't appeal to me again is coffee. I'm curious what it is for you. You guys can let me know on Facebook, if you guys are still on Facebook. There's not really a lot of people on Facebook.
It seems like it feels like Facebook is very good at very specific things to me, and the the reach for it is kind of shrinking. I think Facebook is really great at like groups. If you're on groups, like in a bunch of groups, like sports groups, or very specific like parenting groups, or whatever it may be. I'm on a lot of like different hockey
pages for here in Nashville, Like they're very good for those things. But like outside of that, like I don't know, there's just the most of the people that I know have just been on it, so like that's kind of why I'm on it, and I don't really want to learn another social media. But if you guys are on Facebook, you can follow Dahm Reviews podcast, and I do post on there every once in a while. I'm
pretty bad at like posting on there, but I'm better on Instagram. So if you go to the Dahm Reviews Podcast Instagram, I'm on there a lot. You also go to the link tree and you can find my personal one there. That's probably the best one because it is a little difficult, like switching back and forth between you know, my personal ones and like my podcast ones, and it just feels, I don't know, at some point, it just feels a little silly because it's all just kind of me at the
same time. But every once in a while I will post them there. But if you really want to see things I'm doing kind of day today and you know, everything in between, you should probably hit that link tree on the Dahm Reviews podcast and that will give you all my stuff right there, including like my personal Instagram, which is probably again the best one. But thank you guys so much for listening. I will have more episodes coming up. I did have somebody talking about maybe I should do more videos. I
did videos for a while. I really only do videos for Beer League hockey. Here. I do have a like a version of my podcast that is just solely talking about Nashville Beer League hockey, and people love it here. It's really fantastic. I have like a ton of subscribers to which is really funny. I get a lot of engagement and people talking to me, like, you know, just all over Nashville when I go to the rinks and
stuff like that. So that's a that's a fun thing. But I do videos for that, and I've thought about bringing back my videos for this podcast as well. If you guys are interested somehow, let me know. The best way again would be through Instagram. So you find me on Instagram and you let me know, like, hey, I'd like to see like you
do some videos. There's nothing special about them. It's literally like I'm sitting here at my desk and it's just like a one shot, like I just have my camera and it's just like fine, just me talking to the abyss like it works I think in this setting because it's just my voice, right, so like whatever, like it's fine. But like when I'm talking to a camera or like I have a camera on, like you, I guess you see my manners. Whatever, It's fine if you want that, let
me know. I might start posting snippets of me doing them again or like me doing episodes again because they're just a really great way to promote and actually have people like see my face and stuff like that. So that's fine. But if you just again go to my Instagram, my personal Instagram, you'll just see me all over the place on there. So that's fine, but great, fantastic. It does mean a lot again that you're listening. You
can subscribe on all of your major platforms. Spotify and Apple Music. Really is my main two ones. I'm on like a myriad of other ones as well. I'm sure you can find them Dumb Reviews podcast. That way, you get the notifications of when I post episodes, which really is helpful for me and it's really cool. It's really really cool that you guys are listening and I'll never take that for granted. So great. I'll see you in the next one. This is a lot of fun. Okay, bye,
